Overpacked
SNK continues its weekly character trailer series, putting the spotlight on each of the warriors gearing for battle in the upcoming fighter Samurai Shodown. This week, it is the turn of Samurai Shodown V protagonist Yoshitora Tokugawa.
Created to be a successor of sorts to long-time hero Haohmaru, Yoshitora is yet another runaway samurai who was trained to be a shogun leader, but instead fled the clan to live it up with gals and booze. Armed with seven swords (ea🦋ch named after a woman in his life, save for one named after himself) Yoshitora is never too far from a blade, even if he ha🍌s a rough time going through metal detectors.
Being trained in the ways of the ancient samurai, Yoshitora is another character who favours graceful single strikes, with cleaving motions from left-to-right or top-to-bottom. Also a juggle heavy character, Yoshitora cuts a swathe through his opponents even once they have left their feet. With all of these classic protagonists jammed into one title, it’s finally time to see who is the true master of the samurai spirit.
Samurai Shodown launches on June 25 for PS4 and Xbox One. PC and Nintendo Switch p💟orts will follow this Winter.
