What Are Character Variations in Shonen Unleashed?
In , character variations are extra Awakening movesets that certain characters can obtain. These movesets are often completely different from the base Awakening version of that character and impose a unique playstyle. The basic pre-awakening moves remain the same.
How to Unlock Character Variations?
You unlock character variations by reaching Tier 10 of a certain character’s progression. You can earn EXP and progress the path by competing in public and ranked matches. The path is unlocked by default when you obtain a character, and it doesn’t require any extra purchases.

All characters that aren’t listed above do not have a variation and instead reward you with either cash or tokens at progression Tier 10. Also, know that even though a character doesn’t have a variation, that doesn’t mean they are worse than the ones that do. The different Awakening moveset is, in some cases, even worse.
