Silent Hill: Ascension to premiere on Halloween, according to listing

I mean, it would make sense, yeah?

Silent Hill and Halloween go together like James Sunderland and existential guilt. With Konami’s iconic horror series returning, many will be wondering when we’ll get to experience this new era. As it turns out, perhaps to the surprise of no one, Silent Hill: Ascension🃏 may be heading to our screens for the spooky season.

That’s according to a listing on , which says the interactive mini-series will be premiering on October 31. So, Halloween exactly, it seems.

It should be made clear that, as of writing, the producers and developers of Ascension have not actually confirmed whether this is the date the experience will launch. However, Google Play also doesn’t say that this is a placeholder date, so this could be the real deal.

Like Bandersnatch, but not

For those who aren’t aware, Silent Hill: Ascension is an interactive live-action series in which viewers decide on the outcome. It’s being developed by J. J. Abram’s Bad Robots Production company, along with Dead by Daylight studio Behavio♈r Interactive and Genvid Entertainment.

The listing on describes it as a thrilling new “streaming service” that “follows multiple main characters from locations around the world tormented by new and terrifying SILENT HILL monsters.”

We were treated to a pretty creepy trailer a few months back. Ascension is essentially a spin-off and, from what we understand so far, could deviate slightly from what we know and love about Silent Hill. However, we’ll know more as and when the interactive experience airs.

We’re also still waiting to hear more about Bloober Team’s remake of Silent Hill 2. There will 🔥be many who💛 are looking forward to this modern take on one of the most influential horror games of all time. Equally, there will be those who are skeptical about whether it can do the original justice.
