Smite 2‘s early access has attracted a fair number of players across different platforms, and there is a healthy amount of choice available in the game.
Like Smite 1, you can play different roles based on your preferences, and each one has various options. The free-to-play beta phase already has over 50 Gods available, and som♋e of them are simpl♏y better than the rest.
The tier list will help you to ♔zero down on your mains, and invest your res♛ources in a judicious fashion.
Smite 2 S-tier Gods
The S-tier list is all about the very best options currently available. These Gods are the absolute best choices in their respective roles, and they’re almost ‘broken’ in the right hands in Smite 2.
God | Roles | Strengths |
---|---|---|
Aladdin | Jungle | Great mobility on the map, and massive scope to catch the enemy unaware. He’s also the new boy on the roster. |
Sobek | Solo | Sobek’s abilities and DPS make it really easy to chop down opponents. |
Ra | Solo, Support | Ra is arguably the most flexible God to try out, and he’s also pretty easy to master. |
Ullr | Carry | If you ignore his Ultimate, Ullr is arguably one of the best damage dealers in the game. |
Yemoja | Support | Yemoja is so easy to master, that she’s a must-have healer for any team. |
Smite 2 A-tier Gods
These Gods are pretty powerful in the current meta, and some o🦂f them might be considered A-tier in their own dedicated roles. Once you manage to master them in Smite 2, they will help you get plenty of wins in the future.
God | Roles | Strengths |
---|---|---|
Athena | Jungle, Support | Athena’s abilities are simple and they’re easy to land. Her abilities also do a lot of damage, and you don’t have to chain insane combos to perform them. She can quite easily be considered in the S-tier if you have mastered her. |
Geb | Support | In my books, Geb is the best tank currently available in the game. His pure survivability makes Geb perfect for beginners. |
Thanatos | Jungle | The task with Thanatos is simple: Ambush your enemies and eliminate them. Just play aggro with him, and it should be enough. |
Aphrodite | Support, Middle | My only gripe with Aphrodite is the need for coordination, as you’ll want to play close to an ally to get the most out of her. |
Hecate | Middle, Support | A very well-rounded God who excels in both offensive and defensive abilities. |
Cabrakan | Support, Solo, Jungle | Cabrakan might not be Geb in terms of survivability, but he is a tank, alright. Moreover, he’s much more flexible in terms of available roles, which makes him a good main choice for a beginner. |
Zeus | Carry, Middle | The God of Thunder has excellent range punishment thanks to his abilities, which are buffed by his passive. |
Cupid | Carry, Middle | The God of Love is easy to manage, and his supercharged abilities can do a lot of damage. |
Danzaburou | Jungle | Dan’s ability to create multiple clones can severely confuse the enemy, and it’s really unique. |
Nemesis | Solo, Jungle | Nemesis’ God Aspect can revive her from death, and deal an absurd amount of damage. With the God Aspect, she’s pretty close to S-tier as well. |
Smite 2 B-tier Gods
These Gods are not as effective as the ones mentioned in the S-tier and the A-tier, but they can get the job done. Just don’t expect them to be overpowered, and you’ll also need to be pretty good at timing their abilities to get the most out of them.
I haven’t elaborated about their strengths, because I don’t think they’re viable in the long run. However, I have mentioned their recommended roles.

If you don’t care about wins, love these Gods, and just want to have a good time, go for it.
God | Roles |
---|---|
Ares | Solo |
Febrir | Jungle |
Ametarasu | Solo |
Izanami | Carry, Middle |

This tier list will be undergoing a lot of changes as Hi-Rez continues to make tweaks and alterations to the existing characters. Additionally, the emergence of a new God will also shift a few positions based on how ef♐fective they are on the meta.
