Bandai Namco has confirmed that its 2012 sword-swinger Soulcalibur V is to be delisted from digital storefronts next week. As of Monday, June 19, the fightin꧋g sequel and its DLC will no longer be available to purchase from the PlayStation and Xbox stores.

“Valiant Warriors – Soul Calibur V is taking its final curtain call on the stage of history and will be sunset on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on June 19, 2023,” . “The base game and all associated DLC will no longer be available for purchase. Thank you for your continued support.”

While it was neither confirmed nor denied by Bandai Namco, it is assumed that all players who have purchased the title will still have access to the game. Soulcalibur V is not a backward-compatible game for modern platforms, nor is it a part of Xbox G🌸ame Pass or PlayStation Plus. As such, the delisting only affects ▨the native PS3/Xbox 360 users. Better hold on to those discs, archivists.

The most recent entry in the franchise, Soulcalibur VI, launched in 2018 on PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
