Spike VGA game of the year: Skyrim

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the 2011 Spike Video Game Awards Game of the Year. I knew it. I won’t tell you what I chose as a Spike Video Game Awards panelist judge, but I bet you could guess. 

It was a shame that the staff, led by Game Director Todd Howard, didn’t have time for a proper acceptance tonight. The show threatened to teabag any presenter that went over the time limit. 

Skyrim also won Best ꦇRPG, ✅and Bethesda won Best Game Studio. Congrats, guys. 

Skyrim beat out four other really incredible games: Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Batman: Arkham City and Portal 2. What an amazing year for videogames.
