Square Enix’s Avengers game will have free DLC, no lootboxes or pay-to-win mechanics

Crystal Dynamics’ Scot Amos and Meagan Marie were up on stage talking up the virtues of the new Marvel’s Avengers game. In what feels like a return to the good old days, it will have continuously releasing downloadable content, including new characters to play as and new locations to visit. And the icing on that cake is that all of that DLC (again, character♓s an💙d regions) will be free.

Th🉐e duo also took the time to stress it would not include loot boxes, the current bane of the industry. Nor will there be pay-to-wi🐎n mechanics, a previous bane of the industry.

After announcing this, a mini trailer may ha💝ve ༒also hinted at Ant-Man as an upcoming downloadable character.
