Starfield modding has already begun. If you thought the PC community was going to rest on its laurels and just play 💯the vanilla release (the very idea!), think again. Some people have been waiting in the wings for this day, and now we can enjoy the start of something quite special.
A quick look on reveals that the Starfield community is already hard at work. At the time of writing, there are currently 59 mods for the game. Bear in mind, Bethesda’s brand-new title hasn’t fully released yet, only becoming available to Premium Edition purchasers very recently.
At the moment, there isn’t anything new in terms of fan-made content. But you’ll find an array of tweaks (mostly of a graphical nature), translations, and new menu backgrounds.
If you build it, they will mod
For example, user has released a Starfield reshade mod, which “adds more detail to the world making all them textures pop and stand out more,” while goes the opposite direction and makes the game “potato” quality, with PS1-style visuals.
Probably one of the most impressive mods so far comes from . They’ve managed to make it possible to replace AMD’s upscaling tech (FSR2) for Nvidia’s DLSS or even Intel’s XeSS. Given that Starfield partnered with AMD, this particular mod could be a welcome one for those who don’t use Team Red’s hardware.
As time goes on, we’re only going to see more and more custom modifications come out of the woodwork. Some are anticipating Starfield to keep with the Bethesda tradition of being a buggy mess, so a is alsꦉo ꦡin the works.
