Bethesda’s next game’s arguably the most anticipated game of the year, so you want to make sure you have the correct Starfield system requirements. Exploring the vast reaches of space will need quite a lot of power from your computer. For example, you’ll need at least 16 GB of RAM to run this massively open game. Here are the Starfield system requirement✅s, both minimum and recommended.
Starfield system requirements for minimum settings
With Microsoft’s backing, we’re hoping that Starfield will run well on your PC. We now have on the Starfield syste♛m requ♎irements for minimum settings. They include:
- OS: Windows 10 version 22H2 (10.0.19045)
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, Intel Core i7-6800K
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 5700, NVIDIA GeForce 1070 Ti
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 125 GB available space
- Additional Notes: SSD Required
One particular note you should be aware of is that you can’t use a HDD drive with Starfield. You’ll need the lightning-fast speed of a solid-state drive instead. You may need to upgrade your PC for this alone, and you’ll want to get a big SSD at that with the game taking up 125GB of space. Additionally, you’ll require an AMD Radeon RX 5700 or above.
Starfield recommended setup
If you want your PC to soar while running Starfield, here are the recommended system requirements. 🌌They include:
- OS: Windows 10/11 with updates
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, Intel i5-10600K
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080
- DirectX: Version 12
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 125 GB available space
- Additional Notes: SSD Required
The recommended setup is a pretty big bump up. The AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT is a heftier and more expensive card. However, at the time of writing, AMD is sweetening the deal with a free Starfield Premium Edition code. You’ll also need an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X or better for the processor. Something to keep in mind is that Starfield is partnering with AMD hardware as there’s a deal between Xbox and that graphics card company.
Hopefully, you can experience Starfield to its fullest when it releases on September 6. If you’re not successful, you could also stream it to your PC, mobile device, or Xbox Series X/S console through Xbox Game Pass. While you wait, you may want to check out Armored Core VI on PC.
