Star Wars Jedi: Survivor , bringing with it key performance improvements on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PC version received its share of optimization and bug fixes, as well. Among the performance boosts on consoles is a solid 60 FPS in Performance Mode thanks to GPU and CPU optimization and disabling Ray Tracing. Those who prefer to play in Quality Mode should notice positive changes like reduced FPS fluctuation.
The Jedi Survivor update also adds some other console-specific improvements, like Variable Refresh Rate support for PS5. On PC, support is in place for DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) image rendering tech along with “additional performance & optimization improvements.”
Corruption like yours must be eradicated
Beyond the visual and performance tweaks, Patch 7 addresses some notable bugs. This includes tweaks to the save system aiming to prevent the corruption of game saves. Issues that previously left players unable to retrieve XP after dying under “certain circumstances” have also been fixed. Some of the other bugs and improvements addressed cover cloth, lighting, and UI fixes across all platforms.
This update comes relatively hot on the heels of Patch 6.5, which arrived on July 18, 2023. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Even in its initially buggy state, Respawn’s latest has garnered plenty of acclaim since its April 28 launch. While there’s no release date in place, EA previously discussed plans to bring the sequel to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at some point.
