, an analyst firm that lets employees rate their employers, has published study results labeling GameStop the tenth worst place to work i🌳n America. Of course, anybody who has ever been in one can reporꦫt on the dead, lost eyes of its workers, but now we have scientific facts!
The study says that GameStop puts high sales over and above customer service, while workers criticized the press꧒ure put upon them to push pre-orders ꦇon their patrons.
“Priority is placed on sales instead of games and customers, pushing people to pre-order games can place them in a situation where they spend good money on a bad game with no possibility of a refund, business’ models place customers at a disadvantage,” said one review quoted by .
Our local Best Buy had a massive exodus of staff from the GameStop across the street, and it has to be said that none of the folks making the transition had nice things to say about their prior employer. Hell, the GameStop manager trades his games at that Best Buy because, even with his employer bonuses, he still gets a worse deal with his own store. Not even the perks are perks, apparently.
