Bungie briefly teased some upcoming Destiny 2 armor inspired by the legendary sci-fi RPG Mass Effect. According to the tweet, players can join the Normandy Crew with armor inspired by Commander Shepard, Garrus Vakarian, Liara T'Soni, and others from the Systems Alliance. The armor is set to drop in Destiny 2 on February 13.

Definitely a Win

Let's be honest, Destiny 2 fans haven't had much to be happy about lately. Not that an armor cosmetic alone is suddenly going to flip the frustrations the dedicated fanbase currently has with the game. But regardless of the impact, a Mass Effect crossover is a win in my book. I haven't played Destiny 2 in years but you bet I wanna grab that sweet Garrus armor in preparation for my return in Destiny 2: The Final Shape.

Bungie also revealed that in celebration of the collaboration with Bioware, an Enhanced Defense Ghost Shell, Alliance Scout Frigate Ship, and Alliance Drop Ship Sparrow will all be available for free as well. It seems like these are all just cosmetic skins for the various items in Destiny 2. I hope the ship and sparrow are cool.

The Mass Effect-inspired armor pack, called the Alliance Requisition Bundle, i??s set to arrivate on all platforms on February 13.

After being revealed at the Las Vegas Final Fantasy Fest in July, and then detailed at the London Fan Fest in October, the Final Fantasy XVI crossover event is scheduled to hit the popular MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV in Early April. We've known the event was in the works for a while now, but this is the first time we're seeing an actual release timeframe. The event will launch with the current expansion, Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, ahead of the release of the new one Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail.

Players will team up with Final Fantasy XVI protagonist Clive Rosfield in an exclusive event called The Path Infernal. The questline will task players to enlist the help of Clive to take on various Eikons from FF16. For doing so, players can receive unique rewards including Clive glamours and even a? Torgal mount.

It's important to note that producer Naoki Yoshida made it cle?ar that Early April is the current planned release for the collaboration event, and that?? it may change as things get a little closer.

After briefly teasing it last week, Behaviour Interactive has released the full details of their upcoming Dead by Daylight: Alien crossover. If you aren't content playing as the Survivor Nic Cage, you'll now be able to play as Ellen Ripley. Those looking for a new Killer will get the classic Xenomorph ali??en from the movies. Furthermore, players will be able to escape the Xenomorph in a new Nostromo Wreckage map themed after the cras??hed ship.

The Xenomorph takes Stealth Killer to the next level, striking Survivors from the shadows with ?its razor-sharp tail. The Alien Killer also has a power called Runner Mode allo??wing it to walk more stealthily on four legs, reducing its Terror Radius.

A new interactive Map function called Control Stations is scattered throughout the Nostromo Wreckage map. Seven ?in total will spawn, allowing Survivors to interact with them to get ?a new Tool: the Remote Flame Turret. Also, the Xenomorph will be able to enter and exit tunnels underneath the Control Station, making it versatile for everyone.

The new Remote Flame Turret tool has a defensive attack that staggers the Xenomorph and ends its unique power. Furthermore, the tool adds a complex gameplay ??element as Survivors will have to strategically place the turret and use?? it at an ideal time. Also, if the turret overheats, players need to repair and protect it as the Xenomorph can destroy it.

The first three seasons will include Street Fighter 6 and Monster Hunter crossover collaborations

Capcom hosted a showcase all about their highly anticipated upcoming sci-fi team-based shooter. During the event, Capcom revealed its roadmap for the first three seasons of Exoprimal that includes upcoming content over the next few months. Perhaps the most exciting reveal is two separate crossover events with popular Capcom titles: Street Fighter 6 and Monster Hunter.

Months of content is already in the pipeline for Exoprimal

Season 1 will kick off two weeks after release, and Exoprimal will receive its first update wit??h an all new PvE mode: Savage Gauntlet. This mode will rotate tough weekly missions giving players a chance to test out their best loadouts in end-game missions. Rounding out Season 1 is ten new Alpha variant exosuits wielding unique weapons. This update will release on August 16.

In mid-October, Season 2 will add new missions, the Ocean Platform map, and even more exosuits. Street Fighter fans should look forward to Season 2 as it will feature a SF6 crossover coll?aboration. As part of the crossover, we will get new exosuits based on Ryu and Guile.

Finally, Season 3 will drop early next year featuring even more exosuits, a new Neo Triceratops boss fight, and a Monster Hunter crossover event.  No precise details were provided for this crossover, but we can assume there will be some new giant monsters from the Monster Hunter universe for us to beat up on.

Those looking to save the world from dinosaurs can do so soon. Exoprimal releases on July 14 on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. PC and Xbox players can check out the game for free as part of Xbox Game Pass. The dinosaur-th??emed game ?will launch with cross-platform functionality.

It looks like two vehicles driven by the most famous doll in the world are preparing to hit the garages of dazzling arcade racer Forza Horizon 5 �The Corvette and Hummer driven by Margot Robbie in upcoming movie, Barbie, will be arriving in-game at some point i??n the near futur??e.

The two vehicles were noted by Forza fan IdleSloth, who spotted placeholders in the game's Promo menu. The two cars featured are the "1956 Barbie Movie Corvette EV", (featured in the Chevrolet section), and the "2022 Barbie Movie Hummer EV Pickup", (featured under GMC). Videos of the vehicles in Showcase Mode were later uploaded by another Forza devotee, Aziial.

No dates for the drop have been announced, so it is assumed th??e two *electric vehicles will arrive as free downloads or in-game rewards to cross-promote the movie itself, which premieres July 21.

Directed by Greta Gerwig, Barbie follows the adventures of the titular doll, as she and her long-time pal Ken (Ryan Gosling) leave Barbieland to visit the "real world" and get a taste of reality. A huge ensemble cast includes Simu Liu, Kate McKinnon, Will F?errell, Michael Cera, America Ferrara, Issa Rae, and Helen Mirren. Response to recent trailers has been extremely positive, and all that's left is the waiting game before we find out with the talent both in front of and behind the lens can live up to the hype.

Forza Horizon 5 is a??vailable now on PC and Xbox platforms. Barbie premieres in U.S. theaters July 21.

Collaboration coming in September

Publisher NEOWIZ has announced that it is collaborating with Koei Tecmo in a partnership that will see the former's incoming adventure Lies of P cross swords with the latter's semi-recent release Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. The two Soul??????????????????????????slike titles will crossover in c??urious fashion this September.

Outside of noting the collaboration, neither publisher offered any information whatsoever as to what the hook-up will entail, with details expected at a later date. While both games feature challenging action-RPG combat, they could perhaps not be more diametrically opposed? in regards to characters, settings, and style �Though both ga?mes host a typically heavy and somewhat downbeat mood.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, which launched in March of this year, sees a lone protagonist battle a bevy of demons and monsters from ancient Chinese folklore, set against the background of the Han Dynasty. Developed by Team Ninja, the adventure received critical praise across the board, earning a mighty 9/10 score from our own Chris Carter and selling ove?r a million copies in its l?aunch month.

Lies of P, a retelling of the Pinocchio fable, is currently turning heads thanks to a demo released on PC and console platforms last week. Developed by Round8 Studios, this Gothic tale has players guide young android, P, through a dismal, Belle-Epoque city, in search of answers to their own existence and on the run from a battalion of mechanized enemies. While feedback at this early stage has been a little divisive, Lies of P has great promise, and could prove to be one of?? ??the year's sleeper hits.

PowerWash Simulator is heading to an interesting place to be power washing: an underwater locale. A SpongeBob SquarePants Special Pack will arrive this summer for PowerWash Simulator, b?ringing the serene cleaning simulation to Bikini ??Bottom.

The pack was created in collaboration with Nickelodeon, and will include a character model makeover to make the player fit in a bit more with the ocean-floor setting. No exact date has been set yet, but PowerWash Simulator's SpongeBob pack will arrive sometime? this summer for ?$7.99.

Six new maps will arrive as part of the pack. They'll spotlight Conch Street, the Bikini Bottom Bus, the Krusty Krab, the Mermalair, and more. There will also be ten achievements to hunt, and it seems like there'??s some story behind all the muck that's appeared in Bikini Bottom.

If nautical clean-up be something you wish

Developer FuturLab says we'll hear more about a release date sometime in the coming weeks, so we'll hopeful?ly know soon when the cleaning crew can head underwater. Still, washing-underwater situation aside, this? is a pretty interesting crossover.

Honestly, PowerWash Simulator has really been landing some wild crossovers. It wasn't that long ago that the Final Fantasy VII Remake pack went live. Now, we're going from Midgar to Bikini Bottom. And I've heard fairly good?? things about the crossovers thus far, too.

PowerWash Simulator really became a surprise hit, fin??ding a chill vibe in a?? slow, methodical simulator. It's nice to see the team continue adding wild new reasons to keep going back to it.

The SpongeBob SquarePants Special Pack for PowerWash Simulator will arrive for PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Switch sometime this summe??r.

Epic Games juggernaut battle royale title Fortnite is about to get 100% more swoon-factor, as Resident Evil cuties Leon Kennedy and ??Claire Redfield are ready to grace The Ever-Decreasing Circle with their own unique brand of firepowe??r and charged sexuality.

The iconic duo, who made their first appearance in Capcom's legendary survival horror release, Resident Evil 2, are the latest crossover characters to join Fortnite's literal who's who of pop culture stars. R.P.D. officer Leon comes equipped?? with his trusty assault knife and attache case Back Bling, though is sans his hip jacket, instead?? rocking his latter-game combat wear.

The fairer Redfield, much like Leon, is stylized after her Resident Evil 2 remake design, and is wearing her bootcut jeans and scarlet biker jacket combo. Claire is repping the Raccoon City Police Department's many locked?? doors with her R.P.D. Back Bling, and is wielding a special pickaxe stylized as a red-and-white umbrella �A tribute to the terrible bio-weapons manufacturer behind the fall of Raccoon City.

In a very fun, and very surprising piece of news, goofy window-washer PowerWash Simulator developer FuturLab has revealed that it is collaborating with Square Enix on a special Final Fantasy VII DLC expan??sion, which will see our crew of dirt-blasters head out to the city M??idgar for some deep-cleaning action.

The new "Midgar Special Pack" DLC will give PowerWash Simulator players the opportunity to clean up some familiar locales and enemies located around the miserable, smog-covered 'berg, giving the iconic Final Fantasy VII cityscape a sparkly sheen not seen since bef?ore the arrival of capitalist scumbags Shinra. Tifa's bar, The Seventh Heaven; Cloud's motorcycl??e, The Hardy-Daytona' and the devastating "Guard Scorpion" robot will be among the items awaiting your jet-washing skills.

Unfortunately, FuturLab did not offer up a trailer or release date for the new DLC, but obviously, the team wished to get the news out there on January 31, which is currently in the process of being officially designated "Final Fantasy VII Day". We'll be sure to give you a heads-up when more information on the Midgar Special Pack is available. In the meantime, you can still go and spruce up Croft Manor for yer gurl Lara.

Cosplay Queen will feature as a guest commentator in SF6

Last night saw a who's who of WWE Superstars spill into (and out of) the squared circle, as the promotion held its annual Royal Rumble event, emanating live from San Antonio's legendary Alamodome �As always it was a chaotic night of memorable moments, (no spoilz) one of which saw WWE Queen Zelina Vega rock up to the Rumble itself as Street Fighter 6 skull-kicker Juri Han!

Entering the Rumble at No. 21 Vega, (Thea Trinidad), arrived bedecked in awesome new gear that represents the former assassin in her spanking new Street Fighter 6 garb, complete with lollipop and pointy mobile, and Raspberry Ripple-style P2 hair color.?? Perhaps wanting to protect her toes in a ring full of marauding wrasslers, however, Vega wisely chos?e to don a slick pair of kicks rather than go barefoot.

In addition, it was also announced that Vega will be one of the selectable guest commentators for Street Fighter 6 when it launches in June, adding her voice to the litany of Street Fighter representatives that can be chosen to critique Versus matches live �adding a little bit more of that tourney-style hype. This is no doubt a very proud? and exciting moment for Vega, a noted lover of all things gaming.

As fans will know, Vega is renowned for showing up to major events in cosplay, having rocked a litany of awesome gaming heroes and villains. The trend began in 2019, when Vega entered the Royal Rumble as her Street Fighter namesake. Since then, Vega has portrayed a variety of characters at WWE pay-per-views and other promotional events, including Mortal Kombat's Sindel, and Overwatch's Sombra. With her newest Juri look Zelina Vega has, coincidentally, cosplayed almost all of my mains.

If we could get a KoF Leona Heidern in the?? mix at some point, it's a full house!

Celebrity 'Trooper Cards' revealed

While stoic ronin Sakamoto Ryoma has had to wait many, many years for his journey to the west, it seems that he will not be coming alone, as Ryu ga Gotoku Studio has revealed that several celebrities will be making guest appearances in the long-awaited western release of Like a Dragon: Ishin!

The developer announced that the Edo-era epic will feature a selection of new "Trooper Cards" �affording our hero new abilities to utilize in battle. The first two of these cards feature video game-loving pro-wrestler Kenny Omega, and charismatic actor Rahul Kohli (Midnight Mass, iZombie?). Omega's "Essence of One-Winged Angel" will afford Sakamoto the ability to cut down a crowd with a mighty sword swing, while Kohli's "Essence of Firestorm" will see the lone warrior torch his enemy with an extended blast of flames. Both cards will be available as free DLC on launch day.

Stalk 'n' slasher Dead by Daylight is getting set to celebrate the suitably spooky Lunar New Year, and will do so via a new limited-time event, bringing with it new in-game decorations, a slew of limited cosmetic items, and brand new skins for its Resident Evil heroes Jill Valentine and Ada Wong.

The Resident Evil x LNY collection will give players the opportunity to bedeck Jill Valentine in her battlesuit, perhaps best remembered for its appearances in the Resident Evil Revelations series, while Ada Wong takes a trip back in time for her iconic split-legged cocktail dress and heels combo, which the sultry spy wore for her debut appearance in 1998's Resident Evil 2, and is easily the most iconic?? o?f her looks to date.

Speaking of which, in addition to these new outfits, a new skin for killer "The Blight" will see it transform into the warped and tragic visage of Dr. William Birkin, the Umbrella scientist responsible for the creation of the devastating G-Virus, who ultimately succumbs to its own horrifying mutations. While most of the Lunar New Year cosmetics are time-limited, these three skins are permanent additions to the Dead by Daylight catalog.

Aside from the Resident Evil content, Dead by Daylight will also be celebrating the Lunar New Year with the new Moonlight Burrow event. This will see the realm decorated in creepy, rabbit-themed iconography, while affording players boosted Bloodpoints and themed rewards. Be sure to keep an eye out for the returning Red Envelopes, which will feature a variety of rare prizes and in-game bonuses. Mediatonic has launched one final event to round out the 2022 season of its madcap multiplayer title, Fall Guys �Now available on all platforms, the coming weekend will give Disney-lovin' beans the opportunity to bag three character skins pulled from the studio's excellent 2021 feature, Encanto.

Three members of the Madrigal family have received the battle royale bean treatment, namely the quirky Mirabel, the mysterious Uncle Bruno (complete with rat!), and, everybody's favorite, the mighty Luisa! In addition, a new Wearable allows players to don the Madrigal Miracle Candle �a symbol o??f pure love that is able to bestow seemingly impossible magic on the fa?mily's descendants. Just watch out for hot wax on the ol' noggin.

In addition to these four skins, players can also purchase two new emotes �featuring some sweet dance steps, as well as a selection of nicknames and nameplates. Don't worry, I am here

Fortnite is getting another anime collaboration today, this time with some superpowered stars. Deku, Bakugo, Uraraka, and All Might from My Hero Academia arrive in Fortnite today with purchasable skins and cosmet??ics in the?? Item Shop.

Over in the Item Shop, the four aforementioned heroes are getting their own skins and special items. Midoriya's skin comes with an All Migh?t Back Bling, for instance, while Bakugo's cosmetics are suitably explosive. There are emotes as well, featuring bits like Deku's tendency to take notes o?n heroes and All Might's cheerful laugh.

Even if the cosmetics aren't your thing, the My Hero Academia x Fortnite collaboration is also shaking up the island. Special All Might-themed Supply Drops ?will be hitting the arena, and they can contain a little bit of Smash power to blast at opponents.

Plus, some new Creative and additional experiences are joining the game too. Completing the special quests will net you some cosmetics, while the Hero Training Gym offers a themed activity to take part in, much like the Hidden Leaf Village map for the Naruto crossover.

Going Plus Ultra

If you're unfamiliar with My Hero Academia, it started as a manga and has become a pretty popular modern anime series out right now. Set in a world where superpowers are real, My Hero follows Izuku Midoriya, a.k.a. Deku, on his journey to become a hero through attending U.A. High, taught by the ??heroic icon All Might and learning alongside childh??ood rival Bakugo, newfound friend Uraraka, and the rest of Class 1-A.

To boil it down further, it's got a lot of similarities to Sky High. But it's a pretty good series with some memorable characters, and a cool one to feature alongside previous Fortnite crossovers like Dragon Ball and Naruto. I'm hoping for more Shonen Jump series to make their way in, too.

The My Hero Academia x Fortnite crossover event is live now. The special quests will ?run until Dec?ember 29, 2022.

DC Extended Universe to cover all mediums

James Gunn, director of big-screen comic-book epics such as Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad, has suggested that upcoming vi??????????????????????????deo games set within the DC Comics universe are to be included in the overall lore of the DC Universe?? at large.

Gunn, who was recently assigned the role of co-chairman and co-CEO of DC Studios, made the comments in a recent Twitter exchange, confirming plans to have DC Studios' future projects �be they cinematic, animated, televisual, ?or ??in the medium of gaming �essentially inhabit the same universe. This broadens the scope for character arcs far beyond that of almost any "cinematic universe" to date.

While the proof of the pudding will be in the eating, it's difficult not to see the potential for chaos in these plans. The idea that, for example, Rocksteady's oft-delayed title Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League might lay arcs for characters in upcoming films, or TV shows, (or vice versa). Gunn's comments also come after the initial efforts for a fully connected DC extended universe have essentially resulted in a plethora of mediocre to terrible movies �with the better efforts, such as Matt Reeves' The Batman, being distinctly disconnected fro?m DC C??omics cinematic canon at large.

DC Comics has struggled in its efforts to present a coherent and reliable connected universe when it was only focused on one arcing medium, (cinema), the idea of trying to build a si??milar project via multiple mediums seems to be something of a herculean task. Still, the new co-CEO clearly sees potential in the concept, so we'll just have to wait and see what the future brings f??or Batman, Joker, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman.

But not Batgirl. Apparently.

If you're waiting on tenterhooks for Capcom's Street Fighter 6, then never fear, as the veteran developer has you covered with this baffling adaptation of the genre-defining Street Fighter II??, now layered thickly with the chocolate-coated biscuit snack treats known the world over as "Pocky".

Yes, in a new promotional event, Capcom and Pocky distributor Ezaki Glico have created a variant of the 1991 arcade classic, freshly populated with those snack treats your anime-loving friend eats by the truckload. Specially decorated "Pocky K.O." boxes will be distributed throughout Japan from tomorrow, November 29, with images of the original World Warriors emblazoned on the packaging. Inside, a special code will afford access to Street Fighter II: Pocky Edition, which ??can be played o??n mobile platforms and web browsers.

What this boils down to is a typically regular edition of the grandfather of fighting ??games, imbued with extra Pocky advertising. For example, characters will hold Pocky sticks/boxes in their hands during victory poses. As a weird touch, players can achieve a special "Pocky ??K.O." when the health bar hits the correct chocolate-to-biscuit ratio on an average Pocky stick. Baffling. They could have at least applied Rainbow Edition physics.

Of course, I'm not really angry about it. It's darn tragic, mind, but it's harmless fun. It's not even the first time that Pocky and Street Fighter have collaborated. Who remembers Street Fighter V's relatively pointless "Pocky K.O. Challenge" �a tournament that featured the same "sweet spot" qualifications for landing that elusive Pocky K.O.? Glico has also noted that it plans to build a Street Fighter II: Pocky Edition cabinet to take to trade events. A frightening prospect. The last thing yer boy ?Moyse needs is an excuse to eat even more chocolate whilst gaming.

Another batch of recognizable beans are headed to the wild and madcap world of Mediatonic's battle royale release, Fall Guys �Following on from recent crossovers such as Doctor Who and Hatsune Miku, this new event sees the arrival of three legendary World Warriors of Capcom's Street Fighter franchise.

Three skins have been (bean?) made available to purchase in the Fall Guys in-game store, representing the stoic martial arts expert Ryu, his shadowy and demonic rival Akuma, and the British special forces agent Cammy �who has certainly been getting around in recent years. Yes, she's wearing pants again. Chill. Additionally, new nameplates replicating the classic Street Fighter II aesthetic are also? available, as well as some f?un "Hadoken" and "Shoryuken" emotes. ACKSHUALLY CAMMY DUSNT DO A HADOOKEN ACKSHUALLY.

If you fancy taking these famous scrappers for a spin in the Blund??erdome, then move fast, as they will be removed from sale on November 30. While we can promise that you'll see your chosen fave playing fast and loose alongside their fellow beans, I'm afraid that performing Akuma's Wrath of ?the Raging Demon is, unfortunately, out of the question. Sorry, tryhards.

Lookit his lil' legs!

There's a new gun in town in Player First Games' madcap smack-'em-up MultiVersus, as classic Looney Toons character Marvin the Martian joins the roster as the first DLC combatant of Season 2. Marvin is available to purchase today on all platforms for 3000 Gold or 7??00 Gleamium.

Debuting in the 1948 Bugs Bunny cartoon Haredevil Hare, Marvin the Martian is a diminutive intergalactic warrior with a bad attitude and an amusingly bureaucratic voice. Marvin would appear in several shorts with Bugs, but is perhaps best known for his ongoing, decades-long feud with Daffy ??Duck's space-age alter-ego, Duck Dodgers.

As a foil to both Bugs Bunny and Duck Dodgers, Marvin is recognized by his fast-moving legs and his tendency to get "verrrrry angry indeed" when things are not going his way. He would later appear in multiple Warner Bros. shows and movies including Taz-Mania, Animaniacs, Space Jam, Pinky and The Brain, and Tiny Toon Adventures. Marvin even pops up in 1988's Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

An Assassin class character, Marvin the Martian moves with speed and fluidity, balanced out by his low health. Marvin's iconic B-23 Bubble Blaster is at hand to fire awkward, bubble-based projectiles, while his K-62 Projectile Modulator is a handheld device that? actually alters the direction of enemy projectiles... That's pretty novel. Finally, Marvin has a "ground pound" attack in the form of "In the Name of Mars", which sees him slam a f?lag into the ground, conquering Earth and sending nearby opponents skyward.

What a fun adaptation of the character, can't wait to check him out. Marvin the Martian is the 23rd character to appear in MultiVersus, more characters, modes, and features are expected as the season rolls out, (with several characters already appearing in various datamine reports over the course of Season 1).

MultiVersus is now in open beta on PlaySta??tion??, PC, and Xbox platforms.

NieR gets ready to breach and clear

The NieR series has crossed over into the worlds of PUBG, Soulcalibur, and Final Fantasy XIV. And now, NieR also joins the cameo ranks of Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Siege.

Ubisoft revealed today that a NieR cosmetic bundle is making its way into Rainbow Six Siege, arriving on November 21. The bundle isn't the only one on the way, either. A stinger at the end teases more to come, with 2B's boots ??and this tagline: "A YoRHa soldier is approaching... Glory to mankind!"

Looks like we'll learn more on November 21, when Ubisoft reveals the entirety of its next season, Operation Solar Raid. There, according to Ubisoft, we'll get more "NieR goodness" for Siege.

NieR and dear to our heart

The bundle shown off today is for Maverick, an Attack operator with a blowtorch. The set looks like it includes a cosmetic skin based off the brother Nier's appearance, rather than Papa Nier. I do like the design of the guns, as it's reminiscent of the black-and-gold aest?hetic of the Shades. Grimoire Weiss is included in the bundle too, seemingly as a weapon charm.

As I mentioned before, this is hardly the first NieR crossover. Both the original NieR and NieR: Automata have crossed over into other games. In some cases, like Final Fantasy XIV's raid series, they even contain some a??dditional details for fans.

I doubt Rainbow Six Siege will hold any deep lore tidbits, but I can't rule it out. It's a goofy and enjoyable crossover though, and one that made me fondly reminisce on series director Yoko Taro's response in our latest interview with him.

Did you bag Brunhilde Bugs?

[Update: Player First Games has announced that Marvin the Martian is coming to MultiVersus in season 2. You have made him very angry... Very angry indeed. A Game of Thrones stage is also in the works.]

Player First Games has completed the first season of its crossover scrapper MultiVersus, with the free-to-play fighter making quite a splash in its opening months. Still essentially in open beta �despite its run ??of content drops and tournaments �Sea?son 2 will bring new modes, characters, stages, and more.

MultiVersus Season 2 is getting off to something of a quiet start, with no immediate announcement regarding new characters, but today will see the title get a brand new Battle Pass, which will now no longer feature any empty tiers. Somewhat suspiciously, the patch notes point out that the developer has "Tuned the?? number of points required to complete each tier so that the Battle Pass feels both engaging and rewarding." Hmm...

As always, some exclusive skins await those who commit to the grind, with "Baker Street Tom & Jerry" featuring as the Tier 50 prize for the Free Pass and Maestro Bugs Bunny as the Tier 50 prize for the Premium Pass. Another Bugs Bunny grand prize? A?in't he a stinker? Players picking up the Premium Pass will unlock the fun ??"Astronaut Velma" skin immediately.

Season 2 also brings with it the ar??rival of the in-game store, filled with goodies to spend your hard earned... erm... "Gleamium" on. These include a fresh run of character skins including "Samurai Batman", "Evil Morty", and *checks notes* "Uncle Shagworthy". The intro tutorial has also been overhauled, simplifying some steps and adding a voiceover. Additionally, the even more madcap "Silly Queue" has received new modifiers, including an amusing Big Head mode.

From an under-the-hood stance, MultiVersus Season 2 has introduced Multi-Path Traffic Acceleration to help improve online stability, and there is a fresh run of balance tweaks for several maps and fighters. Unfortunately, there is no word on any of the new characters that will be arriving over the course of Season 2 �with several characters already appearing in various datamine reports over the?? course of Season 1. Hopefull?y, we'll get word of the new crossover contenders very soon.

Legendary British sci-fi show Doctor Who is the latest franchise to get its bean on in the madcap world of Mediatonic's Fall Guys �The topsy-turvy battle royale title currently has a new rang??e of cosmetic items up for grabs, all pulled from the time lord's great canon of chrono-crossing advent??ures.

Three of the fourteen Doctors are represented in this new event, immediately recognizable thanks to the quirky hero's penchant for fabulous fashions. We have the wild scarf and Autumnal style of the iconic Fourth Doctor, as portrayed by Tom Baker in the 1970s. Also available is the most recent incarnation of the character, the Thirteenth Doctor, played in g??roundbreaking fashion by Jodie Whittaker since 2018.

The Fourteenth Doctor, who one might confuse for the Tenth Doctor, is available to purchase as a brand new skin for your been, celebrating the momentary return of fan-favorite actor David Tennant. And, of course, what would Doctor Who be without his arch-enemy, The Daleks? And thus, a Dalek costume is also available from the marketplace �Although, given that they can't even get upstairs, Fall Guys hardly seems to be the perfect place for th?e ruthless, droning robots.

All four skins are available to purchase now in the Fall Guys store. In addition, a brand new emote will play the famous TARDIS sound effect upon activation. Sorry, it won't automatically regenerate you?? beside the crown. You still gotta do all of the hard work yourself. Better bring your sonic screwdriver.

Those naughty MultiVersus dataminers are at it again, delving into the code of Player First Games' madcap platform fighter and pulling out clues pertaining to upcoming characters and stages �In fact, just this weekend, one such digger ventured into the new update and surfaced with a reference to the iconic 1985 classic, The Goonies.

Directed by Richard Donner and written by Steven Spielberg, The Goonies tells the tale of a group of misfit children, who embark upon a wild adventure of danger and intrigue while exploring the legend of notorious pirate One-Eyed Willie. The Goonies has transcended generations due to its dopey slapstick comedy, Indiana Jones-esque action, and litany of quotable lines and memorable charact??ers. Today, decades after its release, it remains something of a rite of passage for young?? film fans.

The data pulled from the new MultiVersus update includes a "Character Universe" code �essentially a folder in which data is stored by IP, (for example "DC Comics" or "Gremlins"), this would suggest the possibility of one or more Goonies characters might be in the works for the star-studded fighter, though we are probably more likely to get Sloth than we ??are Mama Fratelli. Of course, this code could also be a "just in case" placeholder, with no confirmed plan to bring in The Goonies anytime soon. We shall see.

The Goonies is the latest in a number of unannounced IPs and characters to be found lurking within the MultiVersus code. Previous datamines have uncovered dialogue and/or references pertaining to DC Comics supervillain Joker, The Ghost with the Most, Beetlejuice, and The Wizard of Oz's very own Wicked Witch of the West. To date, non?e of these characters have been officially confirmed by Player First Games.

Little Goody Two-Shoes himself

It's sure been a busy gaming year for Evil Dead's premier deadite slayer Ash Williams, not only has the chainsaw-bedecked smart-ass received his own brand new video game, but he is now joining the star-studded roster of Epic Games' juggernaut battle royale release, Fortnite.

Ash, boomstick and all, is one of several additions to Fortnite's annual Halloween event �the amusingly titled "Fortnitemares".  This celebration of everything spooky and ooky kicks off across all platforms today, bringing with it themed maps, modes, characters, and weapons.  There will be a selection of free seasonal cosmetics dolled out to all players who partake in the event, with Ash Williams, Rick & Morty character Queen Summer, and the Meseeks �all arriving as p??aid DLC.  Look at Ash's cute doe-eyes.

Additional?ly, keep your eyes peeled for some Gothic-looking "Alteration Altars" that will be springing up around the island, as visiting one will grant your character some limited-time werewolf powers! Cursed player?s will be granted new "Howler Claw" attacks, as well as a lofty double jump ability and heightened animal senses, which will allow you to track your nearby opponents with ease.  If you hear a heartbeat on the soundtrack, then watch out, as it means one of the lycanthropic beasties is onto you.

Players completing an array of Fortnitemare Quests will also unlock fun weapons and gear, including the pumpkin launcher firearm, bone-based Back Bling, and skeletal gliders. New spoopy outfits are also available from the Fortnite store, including the very cool Sinister Glare and Undying Sorrow skins that were designed by contest winners @Dreowings and @kitsunexkitsu respectively.  All in all, there's a lot of scary stuff going on in the world of Fortnite, so fans should ensure that they get into the sp?irit of the season.

Hot Spartan Summer... Fall

Sensational rap artist Megan Thee Stallion seems to be on a one-woman mission to twerk her way to pop culture infamy �Not content with getting all the knuckle-draggers angry via her recent appearance on Marvel's She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, the Texan lyric spitter is now cutting a rug with, of all the people, Halo's legendary spartan warrior, Master Chief.

The bizarre but energizing confrontation took place at TwitchCon this past weekend, where Ms. Thee Stallion was performing an on-stage set for a rabid crowd of?? fans and attendees. It was a typical flashy and energetic appearance from the artist, but things ??took a turn for both the bizarre and the fantastic when Megan was joined by the Halo protagonist, who promptly bust out some fuckin' moves in full Spartan armor, moving with all the fluidity of my broke-ass knees on the dance floor.
