Mediatonic has revealed the newest collaboration for its madcap battle royale title Fall Guys �SNK superstars Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui from hit slugfest The King of Fighters have had their finely tuned anatomies squished into bizarre bean form, and are coming to the free-to-play title this week.

Mai and Terry, who first found fame in the legendary one-on-one fighter Fatal Fury, have been faithfully recreated in their iconic wardrobe. Mai is rocking her notoriously revealing kunoichi gear while Terry is keeping the spirit of '91 alive in his denim jeans, sleeveless jacket, and famous baseball cap. I mean, they're certainly faith??ful recreations, but Good Lord they both look pretty durn weird.

In addition to the new skins, Fall Guys fans will be available to purchase a "Shiranui Style of Ninja Arts" nameplate and Terry's famous "C'mon" C'mon!" taunt/emote. The King of Fighters content will be made available in-store between August 4-8 on all platforms, so be sure to move fast if you wanna be Buster Wolfing your way through hundreds of other beans �all embarkin??g on the quest for the coveted crown. Expecting a lot of tumbli?ng, rolling, falling, and slapstick buffoonery en route.

Fall Guys �which recently went free-to-play on all platforms �is currently seeing something of a resurgence in popularity, hitting an impressive milestone of 50 million players just last month. This past weekend saw fight fans lock horns in Warner Bros.' brand new scrapper MultiVersus, the crossover fighter having just launched its open access beta on PC and console platforms �and while the fur has only been flying for a few days, already characters are queued up to have their w?ings clipped by developer Player First?? Games.

In something of an obscure tweet posted this weekend, MultiVersus director Tony Huynh noted that "Nerfs Inc." would be headed to the title post-EVO (which takes place in Las Vegas this weekend). While no specific characters were announced for the chopping block, Huynh added that "Bugs Bunny will a??lways be fun."

No doubt Huynh is pointing toward the fact that the carrot-chomping smart arse is already proving to be something of a dominant player within MultiVersus' crossover world. Bugs has seem??ingly overshot Taz ??as somebody singled out as something of a problem character for players, after the latter had his devastating Tornado Spin attack scaled right down scant hours into the beta's launch.

In a chaotic platform fighter such as MultiVersus, it can be difficult to accurately ascertain who may have a leg-up on the competition. Add to that the way ALL fighting game p?layers call for nerfs within minutes of a title's launch, and it takes a sharp developer to truly ascertain which characters are actually broken and which characters players are simply "losing to" as they a??ren't bothering to learn the matchup.

Either way, MultiVersus has had an immensely healthy beta launch, with over 144,000 players logging into Steam at its peak period. We shall see how the title retains its audience over the coming weeks and months. MultiVersus is now in open beta on PlayStation,? PC, and Xbox platforms.

The Assassin's Creed content lands in-game this week

We've seen just about every kind of crossover we can imagine into the Fortnite universe, and Epic is showing no signs of slowing down when it comes to collaborating with all of our favorite brands and franchises. Recent characters that have crossed over into the game include Spider-Man, Boba Fett, and Vi from Arcane, just to name a few, and now Epic and Ubisoft have announced who the newest characters added to the Fortnite roster will be: Ezio and Eivor from the Assassin's Creed series.

The collab drops on April 7 at  5 PM PT / 8 PM ET. Ezio's items will include his Auditore outfit, as well as his signature hidden blades that will o??perate like a pickaxe (seems like it wouldn't work quite as well, but I appreciate the artistic liberties). Eivor will have a few different outfits �one is her original, and the other is a "cloaked" version. We'll also be getting her Raven clan shield and pickaxe. Finally, she will also be getting a Viking War Cry emote.

The items listed above can be purchased individually, or all together in the Tales from the Animus bundle, which includes additional extras such as the Wolf-Kissed? Longboat glider, Wolf-Kissed spray, Eivor's Fury loading screen, Raven Clan emoticon, and a Tales from the Animus banner. No matter how you decide to dive it, it looks like it's a pretty cool lineup for fans to rep their favorite stealthy adve??nture game.

I honestly love that all of these crossovers have become a part of Fortnite's brand, because it gives everyone an opportunity to play along as their favorite characters. I do have to admit though, after the dozens of collabs over the years, I'm way too overwhelmed with the possibilities, I'm not sure I'd be able to make it past the character selection menu. I have to commend what they're doing for Ukraine, though, even if the game isn't always my cu??p of tea.

Oh man, I am so tired of building sh!t

It's too early to tell if Uncharted (2022) will be the big, blockbuster film Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions are hoping it will be. The film project has been in development since 2008 and has seen directors come and go as its actors have aged out of the role they were originally supposed to play. It's not doing too well on Metacritic right now, but hey, plenty of films that have failed with critics have become huge hits with audiences. Look at Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. But even if it doesn't set the box office on fire the way Tom Holland's last film did, plenty of eyes are going to be on Nathan Drake soon as Uncharted is crossing over with Fortnite.

Beginning February 17, players will get the chance to add four skins to their closet based on the popular Sony franchise and the upcoming movie. For Nathan Drake, you'll be able to choose from the Tom Holland version of the character or one based on his appearance in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. For Chloe Frazer, her skins will be based on her styles from the Uncharted film, where she's portrayed by Sophia Taylor Ali, and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.

The Chloe skin pack will also include the Chloe's Pack Back Bling, and players will be able to purchase additional accessories based on the franchise, including a Second-hand Saber pickaxe, Parashurama Axe pickaxe, Sully's "New" Seaplane Glider, and an update journal emote. Not only that, but Fortnite is really getting into ?the spirit of Nathan Drake being a treasure hunter with treasure maps that Drake will drop leading to buried loot.

Uncharted is just the latest video game franchise to join the Fortnite foray. Other Sony properties that have hit the game include God of War and Horizon while Microsoft has got its names in the game with Halo and Gears of War. Not to mention the likes of Street Fighter and Tomb Raider??. Which just begs the question, why the hell is Nintendo still holding out here? Give us that Zero Suit Samus skin, dangit!

Plug up that hole (in one)

Excellent multiplayer puzzler Tetris 99 is still going strong. The superb battle royale block buster will be celebrating its 22nd Maximus Cup event this weekend and will be offering participants a fun new theme based on recent Switch release Mario Golf: Super Rush.

From tomorrow, July 9, until Monday, July 12, any Tetris 99 player who earns themselves 100 points in-game will automatically unlock the Mario Golf themed package, which includes artwork, music, and custom Teromino designs based upon the new links-smashing release. Of course, a Nintendo Online account is needed in order to participate in Tetris 99 tournies, but as long as you are signed up, then?? you'll be good to go.

The Mario Golf: Super Rush event is the latest in a series of crossover events to hit the fast-paced puzzler. Previous Maximus Cup events have seen tie-ins with Splatoon, Kirby Fighters, and, most recently, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. For Nintendo, it's a neat way to ??offer players some freebies while doing ?a spot of cross-promotion.

Tetris 99 and Mario Golf: Super Rush ??are both available now on Nintendo Switch. The 22nd Ma??ximus Cup kicks off July 9 at 00:00 PT and will end on July 12 at 23:59 PT.

Hot off the momentum of the last? Destructoid Draws ei... Eight months ago? That can't be right, can it? Well, most video games out there are being delaye??d anyway, so why don't we... why don't we agree this is a funny opener and just move on to the prompt. Sounds good?

This time around, members of the jbsgame.community were asked to draw a dream crossover of theirs. What does that mean, exactly? Well, I was looking for hypothetical video games that mix some of the favorite worlds and characters of my friends on here. More importantly, they can't already exist. To many, Super Smash Bros is a dream crossover... But for this prompt, we're going for ide??as that haven't materialized just yet!

Without further ado, let's get started!

"This hypothetical action game would serve as a canonical sequel to Metal Gear Rising Revengeance. Th??e conc?ept is that Raiden is stripped of his cyborg augments and left to die in remote Europe.

Early MG/MGS titles have a pseudo open world that would blend well with the "Soulslike" level designs. In classic Metal Gear games, you acquire abilities that allow you into deeper parts of the map, but in this game, those abilities are Raiden reacquiring his cyborg augments. As the game progresses and Raiden's strength grows it shifts from stealth into all-out combat, with Revengeance's combat rebalanced with elements from Bloodborne-like firearms, "magic" (nanomachines!), etc.

This concept also solves one of Revengeance's biggest faults: its drab environmen??ts, by replacing them with evocative gothic/Lovecraftian architecture with a hint of fut??ure technology."

Open a random page from the comics and you're unlikely to land on an actual fight. There are people playing music, video games, chats between friends in bars, cafés, public parks... Racing through a Don Quijote-esque store, working part-time jobs, and going through some much-needed personal growth... At this point, I hope you see that a Canadian-themed Yakuza spinoff would totally fit! Replace the taxis by public tr??ansit, lower the stakes a little, and you're? already there."

"I thought it'd be interesting to combine the modern aesthetic of TWEWY with the faux-French classical look of Gravity Rush. Plus Kat in a jacket was too good to pass up! I tried translating as much of Kat's outfit as I could into something that'd make sense in a modern Shibuya. Arm rings became belts, high heels became combat boots, etc. Plus I snuck a little Arknights in there. It was a fun design to make!"

Former Samurai Showdown boss Shiro returns to the battle

SNK has released the first full gameplay trailer for the next DLC character headed to its claret-splattered fighter Samurai Shodown. Shiro Tokisada Amakusa will be the third fighter to arrive as part of SamSho's Season 3 pass, following on from recent returnees Cham Cham and Hibiki Takane.

The arrival of Shiro has been foretold for some time, with Samurai Shodown's post-credits sequence featuring a teasing glimpse of an ominous glowing orb. This orb, or "gem", is the cornerstone of Shiro's attack pattern, and can be used as a projectile, a defensive tool, or even just a frustrating distraction, allowing Amakusa to get in and deal deadly damage. The gem also af?fords Shiro swift movement and teleportation abilities, making the religious revolutionary a terrifying opponent not only at all times, but also from any conceivable distance...

...I mean, he was a boss character, after all.

Shiro Tokisada Amakusa will be made available for purchase on all platforms June 14. The same day will also see Samurai Shodown end its one-year exclusivity deal with Epic Games Store, and thus will see SNK bring the brilliant fighter to the Steam platform. Given Shiro's importance in the narrative's modern timeline, it would be a snug assumption to suggest he may be Samurai Shodown's final native character. This is, of course, not including a still-unidentified Guilty Gear guest star, who will round out? Season 3 later this year.

It's gotta be Baiken, right? Please let it be Baiken.

It's Morphin' Time

nWay has released the "Super Edition" of its high-energy tag fighter Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid. Now available digitally on PC and consoles, this bumper pack includes the base game alongside all previously released DLC. Everything you need for a ?Mighty Morphin' melee.

While Battle for the Grid had something of an inauspicious launch, nWay has faithfully supported the game in the ensuing years, not only adding DLC characters and stages, but also a full story mode, voice talent from the original TV series cast, brilliant online play, crossplay, and even a dedicated competitive league. As testament to the title's underdog spirit, Battle for the Grid has even partnered with fighting game kings Capcom for a Street Fighter crossover.

BftG: Super Edition includes the base game, complete with all additional modes and content, alongside 11 DLC characters, new stages, and extra Megazords, representing three decades of the franchise. Included are Rangers from TV series such as S.P.D. Jungle Fury, Time Force, and Super Samurai, as well as the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers movie. On the side of the evil and unholy we have the sultry Scorpina and the devious Lord Zedd.

Also included in the Super Edition is the aforementioned Street Fighter pack, which sees the arrival of Ryu as Crimson Hawk Ranger and Chun-Li as Blue Phoenix Ranger. For current Battle for the Grid players, a Super Edition upgrade is available to purchase separately. Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid - Super Edition is available to download now on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch, with a physical release to follow in Ju?ly.

At least she'll never be in direct sunlight

It took scant hours for the mod community to jump on Capcom's Resident Evil Village, with a fistful of weird, twisted, and fun code tweaks that added Barney the Dinosaur, turned Lady Dimitrescu into Thomas the Tank Engine, and swapped the heads of Chris Redfield and baby Rose Winters... Amusing and disturbing stuff, for sure.

But this new creation from modder Kallialee, while not quite as horrific, is equally as bizarre. The mod once again features everyone's favorite bloodsucking hostess, Lady Dimitrescu, chasing down the hapless Ethan Winters as she is wont to do. Only this time, each ??and every time Alcina shows up, her hat has grown in size. While modest at first, the good lady ends up bl?ocking out more than a fair bit of light by the end of the video below.

As noted by several commenters, the freaky, super-sized chapeau recalls Trooper Champlin and her ever-growing hat in Scary Movie 3... NOT THAT I'VE SEEN IT. But given the people's love for Lady Dimitrescu, her eye for st??yle, and her timeless fashion, I'm hoping that we'll be seeing real-life versions of these monstrosities on the catwalks of Milan this year.

Tomorrow sees the launch of Call of Duty's season three mid-season, kicking off a selection of neat in-game content across both Black Ops: Cold War and battle royale title Warzone. Activision has shared details of the incoming "80s Action Heroes" banner, which brings a couple of? silver screen legends to the first-person shooter.

Leading the charge are new premium operator bundles for John Rambo and Die Hard's John McClane, which add new operators and weapon skins as well as alternate knives, watches, and other themed accessories. These bundl??es will only be available for a limited time, and are expected to sell for a meaty 2400 CoD Points each.

In keeping with the movie theme, several new locations are being added to Warzone's Verdansk map, including the P.O.W. camp and CIA Outpost from 1985's Rambo: First Blood Part II, and a replication of Nakatomi Plaza from the fantastic 1989 classic, Die Hard. New modes "Rambo's Gun Game" and "Die HardPoint" will also be tem?porarily added to mode rotation.

Aside from the '80s-themed content, there are more weapons, maps, and modes headed to Call of Duty over the coming weeks. Cold War is getting a new melee weapon in the form of a brutal Baseball Bat, while Warzone is getting a fan favorite in the form of the Ba??llistic Knife. This season will also see the arrival of the rapid-firing AMP63 handgun, great for secondary fans such as myself.

Over in Multiplayer, the recent Duga locale is being added to all multi-team modes, while Black Ops II map Standoff will be making its return to all 6-vs-6 compatible modes. Zombies fans, don't fret, as new content is also headed your ??way in the form of new mode "Cranked 2," new intel hidden in and around the map, and a brand new, (untitled) mission objective. Perhaps best of all, Treyarch appears to be teasing that most important of video game side-activities, fishing! The developer is yet to offer full details on this addition, but I'm hoping it goes far beyond just chucking a grenade in a lake.

The odds are against them... and that's just the way they like it

Next week sees perhaps the most bombastic crossover in gaming history. On May 20, Sylvester Stallone's John Rambo and Bruce Willis' Die Hard hero John McClane will step away from the silver screen to bring their respective brands of rat-a-tat-tat mayhem to Activision's Call of Duty franchise, joining the rosters of CoD: Black Ops, CoD: Mobile, and uber-popular battle royale release CoD: Warzone.

The Reganized 1980s saw a (literal) boom in action movies, as a staunchly conservative populace fell completely and utterly in love with solving the world's — or just the neighborhood's — problems at the barrel of an Uzi. While some of these films were dang awful, we also received an abundance of stone cold classics, with films such as RoboCop, Total Recall, and Commando as ridiculous and as entertaining today as th?ey ever we?re.

I think the Call of Duty franchise is sitting on a veritable gold mine with its "'80s Action Stars" crossover event. Presented for your consideration are a further five stars of the decade taste forgot, without whom Call of Duty: Warzone will never, ever reach its full potential. No need to thank me, Activision, ju??st pay me the 1600 COD Points I purchased last month that never arrived in my account.

1) Pvt. Jenette Vasquez - Aliens (1986) - Jenette Goldstein

While Sigourney Weaver's star turn as Ellen Ripley is unquestionably one of the greatest screen roles of the 1980s, James ?Cameron's sci-fi sequel had more than its fair share of memorable characters — from Bill Paxton's nervy Pvt. Hudson to Paul Reiser's sleazeball exec??utive Carter Burke.

For myself and many fans, however, Jenette Goldstein's badass brick shithouse Pvt. Vasquez stole the show with her cold-as-ice look, fearless attitude, and that double-handed Smart Gun. Ready for war and nigh-on unstoppable, if Call of Duty characte??rs had tiers, Vasquez would be in the S+. When the shit hits the fan, you want her in your squad??. LET'S ROOOOOCCCK!

(Fun fact: Goldstein also portrays John Connor's foster mom in Terminator 2: Judgement Day — this still surprises ?movie fans everywhere, decades after the latter film's release.)

2) Paul Kersey - Death Wish 3 (1985) - Charles Bronson

Perpetually bored-looking star Charles Bronson was 64 years old when he shot this second sequel in his iconic vigilante series. The advancing years posed no concern for sleazoid hack Michael Winner, who thrust an ANTI-AIRCRAFT GUN into Bronson's tired hands and told him to get on with it. Vigilante Paul Kersey, now rocking a body count pushing triple-figures, would slip into the CoD universe with relative ease, having spat death from the barrel of a huge array of explosive weaponry in the Death Wish series' continuing war against working-class minorities crime. 

Scorestreaks would include frequent editing so he doesn't have to run very far, a rocket launcher wrapped in the American flag, and Martin Balsam as a neighbor who turns up to provide constant exposition. Co-op potential would see a second player following Kersey around, literally carrying the ammo for his machine gun for him. 

3) John Nada - They Live (1988) - Roddy Piper

Before the fine work of Dave Bautista (as well as some of Dwayne Johnson's latter roles) nobody gave pro-wrestlers any big screen props — with good-fucking-cause Santa With Muscles. But "Rowdy" Roddy Piper put in a great turn for John Carpenter's sci-fi horror/cultural satire They Live. Piper'?s down-and-out John Nada has the burden of insight, having discovered that Earth has been invaded by a disguised alien force, and must take proactive steps, mostly at the business end of a 12-gauge, to set the populace free from its unaware state of slavery.

Packed with famous witticisms and sporting great charisma, the late Roddy Piper would have been a fine addition to the Call of Duty universe. Melee strikes would activate six-minute?? fist-fights, and Nada's secondary weapon would be special sunglasses which allow him to see which players are using aimbots. (Spoilers: It's everybody).

4) Rambo Gizmo - Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990) - As Himself

Remember when the adorable Mogwai from Joe Dante's comedy-horror donned a scarlet headband and started firing flaming arrows? You don't, because while we've all seen Gremlins multiple times, we've all only seen Gremlins 2 once (apart from Destructoid's own Occams... It's pretty much his favorite movie). Anyway, Rambo Gizmo has the Combat Bow Scorestreak as his primary weapon — complete wi?th pencil and Wite-Out blueprint — and also has the electrical ammo mod as standard.

Gremlins 2: The New Batch is actually from 1990, not the '80s. But both Gizmo and Rambo are from the '80s. Also it's my list and, besides, you probably skipped to the?? comment??s ages ago.

5) Johnny 5 when he was a punk that one time - Short Circuit 2 (1988) - Some puppet

Johnny 5 is ALIVE. I don't like this movie. Ally Sheedy didn't come back: Strike One. And that bit where the mafia beat Johnny 5 half-to-death was really disturbing. Then Johnny adopts "Mexican Gangster" dialect, which is surprisingly only the second most racist element of this movie. Anyway, put him in Call of Duty or something, he can have a laser and can scream horribly when you kill him, traumatizing generations of children scant years after the frightening robot in Superman III... Actually, put her in CoD.

Honorable Mentions: Jack Burton (Big Trouble in Little China, 1986) Snake Plissken (Escape From New York, 1981), Lt. Gabriel Cash (Tango & Cash, 1989), Dean Proffitt (Overboard, 1987).

Activision has officially announced that Call of Duty will be getting a hard-hitting dose of '80s Hollywood next week, as May 20 will see the arrival of both John Rambo and Die Hard's John McClane in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Call of Duty: Mobile.

The strange-but-whatevs crossover will see the two gung-ho heroes — respectively port??rayed by Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis on the big screen — available to purchase as paid DLC skins. While Activision is yet to reveal a price, it seems a sure bet that each character will run the prestige cost of 2400 COD Points, or roughly $20. That's undeniably a lot of moolah, but it will frankly prevent all three games from just becoming two teams of Rambo and McClanes. I'm? more than happy with Glam Helen Park, myself.

This isn't either character's first gaming rodeo, as both the Rambo had Die Hard franchises have received numerous video game adaptations over the past four decades. Rambo himself has recently come off of a successful stint in Outworld, kicking ass in NetherRealm Studios' Mortal Kombat 11. As such, I doubt the run 'n' gun bombast of the Call of Duty franchise will give the muscle-bound maniac too much hassle, he's literally just been battling elemental?? ninjas and four-armed warrior women.

You absolutely have to hand it to nWay. While Mighty Morphin' tag-fighter Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid launched in a mediocre state, the developer has worked consistently hard over the past two years to build upon these ho-hum foundations - adding characters & stages, a story mode, improved visuals, cross-play, new mechanics, and extra platforms ?to create what stands today as a neat alternative ?to the market leaders.

Today, Battle for the Grid might not be the best fighter on the market, but its easy-to-play style and dedication to franchise lore has knocked it up several tiers, to the point where it can enter into a collaboration with the grand-daddy of them all: Capcom's Street Fighter. Incoming DLC will see SF poster kids Ryu and Chun-Li don Power Armor and step into the ring, bringing their unmistakable skills to Power Rangers' colorful, crazy universe.

While we have already been given a sneak peek of Ryu as "Crimson Hawk Ranger", a new video — courtesy of IGN — gives us our first look at Chun-Li in action. Donning the mantle of "Blue Phoenix Ranger," Chun-Li's acrobatic and graceful fighting technique fits Battle for the Grid like a glove, and sees her comfortably take on Scorpina and other Power Rangers villains. While the crossover remains a little weird, it's proving surprisingly adept.

And still, there's no Rita Repulsa... not even the Elizab??eth Banks version...

The Street Fighter Pack will launch as paid DLC on all platforms May 25.

Just yesterday, we got word that '80s action star John Rambo was readying his bow for war in the battle royale world of Call of Duty: Warzone. And it seems that old Sly won't be coming alone, as Activision has also been dropping hints that kamikaze cop John McClane — protagonist of the Die Hard series — will also be skydiving into? Verdansk real soon.

A tweet on the official Call of Duty Twitter features a faux-advert for a company called "Nakatomi Duct Cleanin?g". As film fans will realize, Nakatomi Plaza is the opulent skyscraper held to siege in John McTiernan's excellent 1988 action flick, with the building's duct system used by put-upon NYPD officer McClane — caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.

While there has be?en no official reveal or date for McClane's arrival, yesterday's teaser implied that John Rambo will ??be arriving on May 20. It seems unlikely that all of these Hollywood stars will drop on the same day — hell, it takes a month to save up for each of the highly priced prestige skins — but we'll be sure to give you a heads-up when we hear that John is ready to join the party... pal.

As long as there's war, there will never be Last Blood

It looks like the recent murmurs were true... The official Call of Duty Twitter has posted a short teaser video that implies John J. Rambo, the tortured military veteran played by Sylvester Stallone, is getting set to step into the deadly battle royale world of Call of Duty: Warzone.

A short video sees a hapless soldier picked off by a flaming arrow from a very familiar face. This is followed by the message "Become War. The Action Begins May 20", printed in the familiar Rambo typeface. With no details, one can assume that this means John Rambo will be joining the roster as a paid DLC skin on the listed date. You'd expect everyone to be playing as this character, but CoD prestige skins are pretty dang expensive, so donning the scarlet headband will likely be a fina?ncial commitment.

Just last year, Rambo also stepped into the realm of Outworld to lay waste to the roster of NetherRealm Studios' Mortal Kombat 11. Stallone also returned to the role for the big screen in 2019's Last Blood — a highly question??able flick which saw John forced to return to his killing ways when death and violence comes to ??the front door of his humble farm homestead.

The transition of Rambo from the mentally-ruined Vietnam veteran in First Blood to an M60-pumping cartoon, Mortal Kombat, and Call of Duty star is... odd to say the least. But I guess as long as a war is happening — on the front doorstep, in another dimension, or... in a free-to-play bat?tle royale game &?mdash; John and his serrated knife will never see the sanctity of retirement.

I'm not really sure of the demographic crossover of vampiric society queens and energy-drink-guzzling esports types but, never one to miss a marketing opportunity, Capcom has collaborated with G Fuel to produce a brand new flavor based on Lady Dimitrescu, one of the popular antagonists from the recently released Resident Evil Village.

Titled "Maiden's Blood", the powered hell comes in a container not quite as tall as the good lady herself, along with a 24oz shaker cup which will make you the coolest person at the gym. Honest. Packed with vitamins and supplements to increase focus, endurance, and reaction, G Fuel hopes that Dimitrescu's horrifying elixir will hel?p consumers reach new heights. But not 9'6".  What does "MAIDEN'S BLOOD" *thunder clap* taste like? Melon. Fucking melon.

Scheduled to launch in July 2021, interested parties can jump on a waiting list right now over on the official G Fuel website. I'll definitely be downing the stuff while I go about my slavish tasks for Lady D, including sweeping her floors, polishing her shoes, getting the blo?odstains out of her dress, responding to her emails, and sorting her recycling.

It's a living. Besides, Daniela is?? surprisingly good at Crossf??ire.

The most frightening enemy in Resi history

It had to happen at some point. But so soon?

Hot on the heels of yesterday's Barney the Dinosaur mod, the Resident Evil Village homebrew community has taken its creativity one step too far, birthing what one of the most disturbing and frightening images in the storied history of Capcom's survival horror franchise. Curse you, Crazy Potato, for unleashing the "Count Theodora" mod, which transforms the beautiful-yet-unsettling face of Lady Alcina Dimitescu into that of Resident Evil's trademark stalker: Thomas the Tank Engine.

Be afraid... Be very afraid.

This unholy abomination follows on from the terror train's previous appearances in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, where the dead-eyed, grinning choo-choo replaced Mr. X and Nemesis respectively. But this Village appearance is by far Thomas' most upsetting and skin-crawling to date. The worst part is that Resident Evil Village isn't even officially out yet. So Lord knows what further monstrosities will creep the boards of the House of Dimitrescu co??me release.

That said, I really hope we get Puppet Dimitrescu. I'm in no doubt that we will.

Steam concurrent players record annihilated

Respawn Entertainment's Titanfall 2 is one of the finest first-person-shooters ever made, with an exciting, adrenaline-fueled, top-tier single-player campaign that only improves as it progresses. Five years on from the sequel's initial launch, new players are finally finding this out, thanks to Respawn's own battle royale release, Apex Legends.

On May 9, Apex Legends will launch its ninth season, "Legacy", which features multiple callbacks to Respawn's Titanfall days. Spearheaded by the arrival of new Legend Kairi "Valkyrie" Imahara, Legacy has already tipped its hat to Titanfall with its emotional, teasing cinematics. And, as spotted by VGC, it seems that the hype for the new season has encouraged players both old and new to jump back into the explosive world of Titanfall.

Following a hefty discount on April 15, Titanfall 2's concurrent player count skyrocketed by 650% in just 48 hours, before going on to shatter its previous best with a staggering 17,000 players — an amazing activity increase of 750%. It seems that the shrewdly timed store discount — coupled with the Apex Legends crossover — has shaken the rust off of Titanfall 2, giving the? underrated sequel a brand n??ew opportunity to shine.

If you're a fan of action games but never got around to checking out the Titanfall 2 campaign, be sure to jump on this bombastic bandwagon fast. As many new fans are finding out, you won't regr??et it.

Time to deal out some losses, literally

Street Fighter V: Champion Edition gets a much-needed dose of class today, as franchise veteran Rose returns to the roster as Season 5's second DLC character. The Italian psychic - who made her series debut in 1995's Street Fighter Alpha - returns to the ring armed with a whole new ?deck of tricks.

Joining an arsenal of trademark Rose attacks such as Soul Spiral, Soul Piede, and Soul Satellite are a new airborne projectile, an optional teleport ability, and a deep, strategic V-Skill based on our good lady's mastery of the Tarot. Overall, this looks like it could prove to be the most inter??esting and exciting iteration of Rose the franchise has ever seen. Not to mention her attractive character model and an awesome array of launch costumes - check out her amazing war outfit and that floppy hat/swim??suit combo!

Rose has been my Street Fighter main since her initial appearance in the series, and is easily the Street Fighter character that I am the most adept with. While I have spent many years working with Juri in an attempt to shake up my game, (and that journey will continue), I'm almost giddy with excitement for Rose's return. I'll admit to being disappointed in the lateness of her arrival - in SFV's twilight year, no less - but hopefully the classy lassie will receive earlier attention from Capcom come Street Fighter VI.

Oh, and on a side note, I actually think Season 5's characters - Dan, Rose, and Akira - have some of the best character models in the game to date. While her facial animation is a little stiff, I think the general anatomy balance and "sleekness" of the more recent roster additions has stepped up a notch from previous SFV scrappers. Whoever was brought on board for Season 5's character design, I hope the??y stick around for the seque?l.

But until then, pick a card... any card.

Look who's stalking

As part of the myriad news dropped by Capcom during yesterday's Resident Evil Showcase, the publisher announced that it would be partnering with Behavior Interactive to develop a Resi-themed chapter for the latter's asymmetrical horror title, Dead by Daylight.

"We are excited to be working with the legendary studio Capcom to create the next Dead by Daylight chapter," said Behavior's creative director Dave Richard. It is an honor and an absolute joy to welcome the original survival horror game Resident Evil in The Entity’s universe. The result is fantastic and will surprise new pla??yers and veterans alike. Players can expect a chapter packed with iconic content and novel ways to sacrifice or survive inspired by the renowned franchise."

A short teaser trailer sees a hapless survivor hooked onto a tree in classic Dead by Daylight style, with a blood-spattered Umbrella Corp. symbol hitting the damp forest floor. We do not see who the killer is, but the Resident Evil franchise has more than its fair share of professional hunters. Could it be Mr. X? Maybe, I'm thinking it might be Resident Evil 3's Nemesis - his mutated visage would fit well within The?? Entity.

It's like that Dead by Daylight players can also expect a new survivor to join the roster as part of this crossover event. I wouldn't be surprised if it were Jill Valentine, who is basically Resident Evil's crossover queen at this point. If it were up to me, it would be that reporter with the lame ponytail in Resident Evil 2, but then, I have a lot of growing up to do.

It's not like they have anything else to do right now

Koei Tecmo has released a new trailer for its upcoming compendium Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection. The video focuses on a bevy of babes from 3D fighter Dead or Alive, who will be lending Ryu Hayabusa a han?d as he relives the challenging adventures of his past.

Up to their elbows in dead ninja bits are DoA's poster girls (and bitter rivals) Kasumi and Ayane, who bring their mastery of both martial arts and magic to the fracas. Joining them are Hayabusa's apprentice Momiji, who debuted in Nintendo DS release Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword but is perhaps best known for breaking jaws as a guest star in Dead or Alive 5 and 6. Rounding out the quartet is Ninja Gaiden veteran Rachel, who has also spent recent years making her presence felt in DoA's electrified ring.

Koei Tecmo is obviously sticking to the kunoichi theme, as there no sign of Lei-Fang, Hitomi, or any of the non-ninja DoA gals. This is a shame, as I'd love to see Tina giving a samurai a frankensteiner. Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection will contain remastered editions of Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, complete with all previously released DLC an?d some exclusive artwork, making it a fine package for those yet to experience these tough-as-nails hack ?'n' slash classics.

You wait three seasons for Juri to get some decent clobber, and then an entire wardrobe comes along at once. Yes, in addition to the great, contest-winning outfits that dropped just last month, Street Fighter's spider-lovin' assassin is now getting her Kill Bill on as part of a? pack of "Professional" DLC skins headed to Capcom's foremost fighting title.

As revealed during this week's "Street Fighter V Spring Update," Juri, Vega (or "Claw" for all you pedants), and Seth will each receive new gear representative of the workforce. Juri is rocking a nurse's outfit with just more than a passing resemblance to Elle Driver, the deadly assassin played by Daryl Hannah in Tarantino's 2003 slash-fest. Of course, this outfit also recalls Skullgirls' own nefarious nurse??, Valentine, so I better name-check her too, lest I get "ACKSHUALLYD" in the comments.

Spanish psycho Vega slips out of his matador-style attire and into a '40s era suit, complete with tie, trenchcoat, and bandit mask. Frankly, he's a mere fedora away from becoming The Green Hornet, but perhaps a costume-altering button input will reveal a little more of what's hiding beneath that overcoat. Rounding out the trinity of togs is Seth, who adopts the same formal wear often seen in the SFIV boss's cinematics. While I'm definitely digging Seth waistcoat and cravat ensemble, those Power Rangers pants and boots have gotta go, pal.

The Professional costume pack will arrive April 19 as part of the Season V Premium Pass. Alternately, each outfit can be purchased for around $4 each. The same day will see the arrival of Italian psychic Rose, making her return to the ring as the second of Season V's DLC characters. Street Fighter V might be in its final days, but it's go??ing out in style.

Rage in the Age

It has been a long time, a real long time, since we last saw mysterious warrior Oro step up to the plate. Being a hermit, I guess that's kind of his deal. But the Street Fighter III veteran is almost ??ready to take a break from his life of s??olitude to take a break on a few clavicles.

During yesterday's Street Fighter V Spring Update live stream, we finally got our first look at Capcom's resident 140-year-old in his all-new Champion Edition form. Having mastered the secret??s of immortality, the old boy is looking pretty spritely - still rocking his ramshackle robe and ball-bag skin structure. Oro has also brought a little turtle along for the ride. Not content with just whooping your ass, he's gonna carry a little amphibian while he does it.

Oro retains much of his moveset from Street Fighter III, including his Nichirin Shou projectile, Oni Yanma uppercut, and amusing one-armed Niou Riki throw, wh?erein Oro slam his opponent to t?he ground multiple times with ease. His crafty double-jump also returns, offering Oro unparalleled air maneuverability over his foes.

Joining this arsenal are V-Trigger I, Onibi, which is a slow-moving, projectile-eating orb that offers Oro strong spatial defense while also applying confusing pressure on his opponent. V-Trigger II will see the return of Tengu Stone from SF III, as Oro surrounds himself wit?h random debris and items that can be linked into his combos for extra damage.

No specific release date was given for Oro, but he is expected to arrive at some point this summer. The third season five contender, Oro's release will follow Dan Hibiki and Rose, but will predate the release of Akira Kazama and season five's mystery final character. It's great to see one of Street Fighter's weirdest and quirkiest characters return the ring?, and with his unusual moveset, air mobility and new V-Triggers, Oro is sure to give these young whipp??ersnappers a headache or three.

You will see it coming

In all my years - decades - of playing Street Fighter, there is no one character I have put more time into than gaming's foremost fortune-teller, Rose. From her first appearance in 1995's Street Fighter Alpha, to her great, EVO-winning comeback in 2008's Street Fighter IV, I've poured months' worth of time into the Italian psychic. And that clock is set to keep turning, with Rose's long-awaited return in Street Fighter V: Champion Edition.

As revealed during yesterdays' "Street Fighter V Spring Update" live str??eam, Rose's high-fashion heels are set to come click-clacking into battle on April 19. The solemn, tragic diva will return to the ring armed with her trusty scarf, her mastery of Soul Power, and more?? than a few tubs of hair gel.

Notably, for the first time, Rose will truly use the power of the Tarot in battle, as her V-Trigger I ability will afford her the use of a selection of cards, which can be used to either buff herself or apply de-buffs to the opponent. This mechanic alone offers Rose a tactical depth that is missing from so many fighters on the SFV roster - welcome creativity that bodes well for the design of future iterations in the franchise.

V-Trigger II sees the return of Rose's classic "Soul Satellite" attack, an orbiting sphere of Soul Power that can be smartly incorporated into combos to increase their length and damage. When you add into the mix Rose's new V-Skill - a teleport with multiple landing spots - you have what could be the deepest iteration of Rose that the franchise has seen in years... perhaps ever. You can see all of these skills in action in the video above, along with Rose's new win pose, which feature Tarot portraits of various Street Fighter characters...

Wait... Is that C. Viper?.. Hmm...

Rose arrives as the second DLC character from Street Fighter V's fifth and final season of content, following the return of goofball Dan Hibiki last month, and ahead of Street Fighter III hermit Oro, Rival Schools' biker girl Akira, and the mysterious fifth contender. I can't help but be disappointed that Rose has arrived so late in SFV's lifetime - the literal twilight year, in fact. But at least she's coming in a style befitting her exquisite nature, and will hopefully receive priority come the arrival of Street Fighter VI.

Rival Schools star makes her grand return

Capcom has released the first teasing look at Rival Schools' Akira Kazama making her distinct presence felt in Street Fighter V: Champion Edition. The teenage biker gal will step back into the ring for the first time in decades, but her inimitable and impactful martial-arts style to Street Fighter's roster of sluggers.

As you can see from the above trailer, the rest has done Ms. Kazama the world of good. Capcom has bestowed Akira a super cool and classy new model, while her fighting style perfectly reflects the very deliberate and hard-hitting pseudo-karate that has always been our girl's trademark, (including aerial combos!) As a fun nod to her roots, big brother Daigo pops in to lend a hand in a welcome cameo. Even at this early stage, Akira is looking awesome. Good lord, would you bring back Rival Schools?

Akira Kazama will join the Street Fighter V: Champion Edition roster later this year as one of Season 5's DLC characters. Next in line for a dust-up is Street Fighter veteran and fortune-teller beyond compare, Rose, who will launch in-game on April 19. Rose will be followed by Street Fighter III's mysterious hermit Oro sometime ??this summer. A fifth and final DLC character will arrive at the end of the year, though their identity remains a mystery.

Oh, and don't forget, Akira will be making a special appearance in the Street Fighter comic this summer!

Let me hear you scream

The newest chapter is now live in Behavior Interactive's asymmetrical survival horror title Dead by Daylight. The "All-Kil?l" even??t brings with it a new survivor, record producer Yun-Jin Lee, and the psychopathic, mass-murdering K-Pop megastar Ji-Woon, better known by his stage pseudonym of "Trickster."

Recounting the backstory from our previous report, Ji-Woon was part of a super-successful boy band, who were indirectly killed on account of his actions. Finding a taste for death gave him an appetite for art, Ji-Woon began abducting and murdering fans and industry pundits, recording their death throes as s?amples to be worked into the young star's music. Swiftly abandoned by his record label, Mightee-One, the now-reinvented "Trickster" is out at large and out for revenge.

The "All-Kill" chapter adds Ji-Woon/Trickster to Dead by Daylight's? growing roster of utter maniacs, while the singer's former producer Yun-Jin Lee is heading for the hills as a new Survivor. Behaviour Interactive ?collaborated with real-life K-pop legends, including BTS songwriter Jordan "DJ Swivel" Young and U-Kiss member Kevin  Woo in order to plot out and design the chapter's aesthetic and backstory.

While some Dead by Daylight fans are anno??yed at this crossover of K-pop and s??urvival horror, I think they've done a solid job.

Capcom's Resident Evil is certainly making the most of its 25th anniversary celebrations. Not only is the survival horror series getting a brand new title in the form of Resident Evil Village, but it is also making its presence felt in other franchises, such as Ubisoft's The Division 2, and soon in its flagship tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege.

As part of its flurry of new Year 6 content, GROM Attacker Zofia Bosak will be paying tribute to Resident Evil's top-tier hero, Jill Valentine. Zof??ia's new Elite skin will reflect Ms. Valentine's classic look from her 1996 debut, co??mplete with beret, finger-less gloves, and hefty shoulder pads. Given that Zofia is already handy with a grenade launcher, it's a pretty snug fit. The kit will also include a matching charm, weapon skin, and win-pose.

This isn't the first time a member of Team Rainbow got their cosplay on. One year ago, squad leader Ash was gifted with the getup of none other than the Tomb Raider herself, Lara Croft. It's certainly a surprise to see these guest characters come charging round the corner when playing online, but they're very welcome in Rainbow Six's evolving, comic-book style universe.

The Resident Evil Jill Valentine Elite will arrive in-game later in 2021. A further Resident Evil Elite skin will arrive later in Year 6.

It's about to get Nier in here

Square Enix has announced a new event - set to take place later this month - which will see upcoming remake NieR: Replicant crossover with the phenomenally popular mobile title NieR: Reincarnation.

As reported by GameWith, (with translation from Siliconera), the event will see NieR Replicant protagonists Nier, Kainé, and Emil venture into the bleak-yet-serene world of "The Cage," where they will no doubt encounter NieR Reincarnation's own protagonist "White Girl," accompanied by her ghostly sidekick, Mama. The event, which is being held to celebrate the upcoming launch of NieR Replicant, will offer NieR Reincarnation players the opportunity to bag exclusive themed items a??nd login bonuses.

NieR Reincarnation has taken Japan by storm, having been downloaded over 10 million times since its launch a mere month ago. The free-to-play gacha title is currently in the process of being localized for a western release, and is expected to hit these shores at some point later this year. In the meantime, NieR Replicant will launch on PS4, PC, and Xbox One April 23.

DC Comics and Epic Games are teaming up once again for further Fortnite-based shenanigans. The comic-book giant has announced a new miniseries which will se?e the lawmakers and lawbreakers of Gotham City meet up with some of the battle royale title's cast of heroes and villains.

Batman/Fortnite: Zeropoint will see a tear in the fabric of space and time appear in the skies above Gotham, thrusting The Dark Knight into Fortnite's colorful and chaotic universe. Now struggling to regain his sense of being and identity, Batman will be forced to adapt to his new surrounding, while facing off against ??some of the strange new world's Champions - including Renegade Raider, Bandolier, and Fishstick...

...I mean, it's still better than that time he had to fight through all of American history.

"When DC first approached me about doing a Batman/Fortnite series I thought it would be a lot of fun," said Zeropoint writer Christos Gage. "After speaking with Donald [Mustard, Epic Games' CCO] and discovering just how deeply we'd be diving into the secrets behind the world of Fortnite, I was amazed! This series will reveal things about Fortnite that ?have never been seen or heard before yet are very much part of the canon of the game."

As a bonus, Fortnite fans who pick up the first run of physical issues will find codes for special in-game items and? skins inspired by the mini-series. The first issue will feature a New Rebirth Harley Quinn gear, and players who purchase all six issues will get access to an exclusive Armored Batman Zero outfit for their character.

Batman/Fortnite: Zeropoint will launch in both physical and d??igital format on April 20, with following? issues to release each fortnight... Naturally.

If you weren't able to make it out to the Hangzhou district this weekend, don't sweat it, as developer miHoYo has announced that players logging into Genshin Impact 1.4 will be able to get hold of some new in-game recipes, inspired by t?he f?ast-food joint's famous Original Recipe Chicken featuring Seven Herbs and Spices - which is fully warranting of those capital letters.

Each day of the "Outland Gastronomy" login event - a feature of the highly anticipated Update 1.4 - will offer rewards ranging from Hero's Wit bonuses, to extra Primogems, Mora, and brand new Recipes. Siliconera additionally reports that any player logging into GI two days in a row will automatically rece?ive the "Exotic Gourmet" r?ecipe book, which will seemingly feature meals inspired by the KFC menu...

...Exotic Gourmet. It's called a "Zinger Tower".

Anyway, there you have it, all the anime fried chicken your party can eat, and you didn't have to wait in line, shout at any employees, or risk boosting one of the greatest health pandemics in documented human history in order to receive it. As for the other exclusive in-game items from the in-store events, they are expected to be made available to Genshin Impact players this summe??r. The physical items? I'm afraid it's the scalper's market for most.
