The Dark Loners

Sony has announced the selection of PlayStation freebies for September and it's kind of a mixed bag. Darksiders III is the newest of the duo but is often considered the worst of the Darksiders trilogy. Batman: Arkham Knight, as well, was met with tepid rece?ption and has gone down as a fairly disappointing conclusion to Rocksteady's trilogy of Batman titles. Still, you could do worse than these two games.

If you have any interest in either franchise but never made the plunge, your time will soon be at hand. This mostly feels like a sleeper month, to me, but there are bound to be some fans out there. If you fall into that category, this selection will be available starting September 3, 2019. You'll have a few extra days to grab this month's selection, which included Sniper Elite 4 and Wipeout Omega Collection.

This should've been included from the get-go

Darksiders III launched late last year without one of the series' staples. The Abyssal Armor, the most powerful gear set in both Darksiders and Darksiders II, was nowhere to be found in the third ga?me. That's because Gunfire Games a??nd/or THQ Nordic made the frustrating decision to withhold so that it could be packaged as part of an add-on.

Eight months later, the Abyssal Armor has made its way to Darksiders III by way of the Keepers of the Void DLC. It's the grandest prize for completing everything the add-on throws your way. Keepers of the Void sees Vulgrim task Fury with traveling into Ser?pent Holes and solving puzzles and besting enemies. It seems more like a series of trials rather than a comprehensive story.

Finally, Darksiders III feels complete now that it has the signature Aby??ssal Armor. But, you need a $13 piece of DLC to get it.

Game of Death

THQ Nordic has released the first DLC content drop for Gunfire Games' hellish action adventure Darksiders III. The Crucible is available to purchase now on all platforms.

The titular Crucible is essentially a battle arena open to Fury once she has begun capturing Sins in Darksiders III's campaign. Once within The Crucible, Fury has to fac?e waves of enemies, laying waste to them with her mad whip skills. The more Sins she has defeated, the more waves she is entitled to ??face.

Every five waves Fury can choose to leave with her rewards, or risk it all against further challenges. An "Ultimate Challenge" awaits those who ?can defeat 100 waves in a single session. Do you dare gamble your armour, c??rafting ingredients and other loots against The Crucible's tougher stages?

Darksiders III is available now on PS4, PC and Xbox One.

Despite quiet release, sequel recouped its investment

When THQ Nordic released their hellish action RPG Darksiders III, things got off to a rough start. It appeared that Fury's journey into the Underworld had wholly failed to set charts alight and get the cash registers ringing.

However, according to the publisher, Gunfire Games' grimdark title has performed to its owner's expectations, with sales to date covering the sequel's budget, marketing, and other investments. Speaking in their fourth quarterly financial report, THQ Nordic stated that the Darksiders franchise remains "one of the group's key IPs." So although it originally seemed that Darksiders III was threate??ning to put the series in the ground, the exploits of The Four Horsemen (and women) are very likely to continue.

Darksiders III is available now on PS4, PC and Xbox One. Darksiders: Warmastered Edition launches on Nintendo Switch April 2.

Objet D'artsiders

THQ Nordic's recent release Darksiders III may not have quite set cash registers ringing as planned, but at least made a name for itself with its heavy metal, super-edgy atmosphere and art style. It's a style that the Darksiders series is particularly ??adept at, all twisted monsters, beefy heroes and spiky shoulder pads.

Publisher Udon has collected the artwork of said game in a new hardback tome. The Art of Darksiders III is 208 full-colour pages of concept, interim and final art, featuring our anti-hero Fury, her companions and enemies, as well as the hellish landscapes that she traverses thro??ughout her violent adventure.

If that wasn't enough for any budding Darksiders aficionado, then Udon is also re-issuing the long out-of-print Art of Darksiders and Art of Darksiders II books, also in sleek hardback form. Each of these volumes fe??atures of 200 page of images, covering the journeys of Fury's buddies War and Death, r?espectively.

The Art of Darksiders reissues on May 7, to be followed by The Art of Darksiders II on June 4 and, finally, The Art of Darksiders III on J?uly 9. Ea??ch volume will retail for around $50 USD.

And more like the Darksiders everyone knows and loves

The similarities between Darksiders III and Dark Souls don't stop at the DS initials. Darksiders Develope??r Gunfire Games has just added a new combat option to make the third game feel more like ??its predecessors.

As part of the game's second major patch, Gunfire has introduced a "Classic" combat mode that's more aligned with the combat mechanics in the original Darksiders and its sequel. There are two major alterations: Classic mode has the built-in safety net of canceling attacks with a dodge, and i?tems are used instantaneously after pressing the corr?esponding button.

Gunfire made a lot of strategic changes with Darksiders III, and modeling combat more akin to Dark Souls was a divisive shakeup. It added more weight to fighting, but it also sort of messed with the free-flowing fast action that people expect from Darksiders. Locking the player into animations can feel unnecessarily punitive, especially considering how the previous games encouraged a more carefree style (for lack of a better desc??riptor).

It's a part of Darksiders III now, and there's no harm in trying it. Gunfire says players can toggle between default and classic combat modes by simply loading a save. Classic combat won't have any effect on difficulty or earning achievements/trophies. It's just an option for anyone who'd prefer it feel more like old Darksiders and less like Dark Souls.

Darksiders III's second update is?? avai??lable now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Here are the full patch notes:

Improvements:

  • Added new option for Combat. Upon loading a save or starting a new game, players will be prompted to choose between "Default" and "Classic" combat. "Classic" mode should feel more like previous Darksiders titles allowing Fury to dodge interrupt her attacks as well use items instantly. "Default" mode is the original combat mode for Darksiders III. The option can be changed at any point in gameplay options while playing. This has no other effects on difficulty or achievements.
  • Improved ledge grab detection on Fury so she can more consistently grab ledges.
  • Additional optimizations to help stuttering while streaming.
  • Added "Health Lurcher" item to Vulgrim that allows player to purchase refills for Nephilim's Respite.
  • Added "Echo Mark" item to Vulgrim that allows player to refund their spent attribute points.
  • Added a few new checkpoints.
  • Raised the level cap to 200. Also, rebalanced leveling curve post level 80 as well as stat rewards.

Fixes:

  • Fixes for random crashes
  • General performance improvements.
  • Fix for Force Coral where it wouldn't break correctly. This will also fix previous saves with this issue.
  • Fix for some checkpoints that weren't registering.
  • Cycling difficulty options while in game will not affect actual difficulty unless it is changed.
  • Fix for Abraxis Health bar showing up but he is missing.

Balance Changes:

  • Fury will no longer take damage while performing an Arcane Counters.
  • Havoc Form does more Damage.
  • Increased Havoc Generation on Obscurus Enhancement.
  • Increased Health and Damage amounts on Fortifier Enhancement.
  • Increased Health Regeneration on Leviathan Enhancement.
  • Increased Lurcher Reward from destroying breakables on Leviathan Enhancement.
  • Increased Chance to Spawn Wrath when killing an Enemy on Rage Enhancement.

Dated but still delightfully dark

Darksiders has always felt like it belonged on the fringe. The whole "edgy Zelda" mask it wears so fondly was a major turnoff for some, but ?I bought right into it. Maybe it was Mark Hamill's devilish turn as The Watcher that really drew me into this world, but it was artist Joe Madureira's hellish beauty that kept me coming back.

Sure there's padding issues and other nitpicks, but ?the strong locales and the more than serviceable action help cement this series as an actual action contender. After six years in limbo it's returning to answer the call of fans: but the real question is whether or not it will hold up under scrutiny in 2018.

Darksiders III review

Darksiders III (PC, PS4 [reviewed], Xbox One)
Developer: Gunfire Games
Publisher: THQ Nordic
Release: November 27, 2018
MSRP: $59.99

It does. And scene: end of review. No, I'll clarify that statement lest I feel the flame of hell itself: it absolutely holds up if you're willing to put up with some of the same vices that have plagued 3D action g?ames since their inception.

So there's a few major changes that all seek to sort of bring the game back down to Earth after the (some would say needless) push for complexity in the second entry. Loot is gone, because, according to the developers, "Fury's abilities are stored inside her hilt." Okay, that's a cute? hand-wavy lore reason for the removal of complicated concepts, but the tradeoff is one giant world and lots of holdover mechanics from existing games. So...Fury drinks replenishable flasks now to restore her health. And shatters souls for currency (used to upgrade stats or weapons). And...can get her souls back after death by returning to the scene ?of the crime. Get the drift?

All of it is an effort by Gunfire Games to modernize the series and most of their work pays off. I don't miss the granular loot. Having to math out which item was better in Darksiders II was often a chore, even if it did bolster the idea of multiple builds in higher difficulty settings. F??ury's tale has a different feel to it and I appreciate that each game is unique in its own way. Part of that vision is realized in Fury's "forms," which provide access to all s??orts of new weaponry as well as abilities like a vertical triple-jump and a hover. Again, Fury is the most streamlined Horseman yet, but still maintains a sense of identity through her whip.

Instead of a deprecating demonic force following you around your new Watcher companion is basically your own personal cheerleader. She never hits that sour spot where she's too annoying; it's more like cleverly penned devilish flattery that allows it to work. Darksiders III ups the ante with the fan-favorite "battle the seven deadly sins" gimmick. It's somet?hing that's been done in nearly every media realm and it hasn't gotten old yet. Call me a sucker f?or occult/demonic iconography, but there's something special about discovering new interpretations for age-old myths.

Gunfire Games is able to sidestep the disconnect between the games (hiatus? What hiatus?) by asserting that Fury's quest takes place at the same time as the first Darksiders, which, as it turns out, is happening in tandem with the sequel. For a se?ries that mostly hones in on act?ion and absurdity it does work, even if the "we can do living retcons whenever we want" premise is wearing thin.

Darksiders has always scored points in my book for its interactions between its over-the-top Mephistophelian cast, not necessarily because of the "who is betraying whom" narrative.  For those who are wondering: this entry does&n??bsp;move the overarching story along, but only a tad an??d mostly in the finale.

Darksiders III review

Naturally for these Darksiders titan-level encounters you need a good combat base. Gunfire Games isn't entirely green in the arena of action as they are comprised of many developers of the original series and more recently worked on the [good] Darksiders II remaster. Still, I worried quite a bit in the buildup for Darksiders III ?;that they would both do right by the series and give Fury a distinctly different feel fro?m the rest of her comrades: just as Death did when juxtaposed to War.

Fury is more like Death in that her mobil??ity is her biggest strength but also sports the restrained movements of War. Dodging and double-jumping are what you're going to be doing most often, and swapping between forms really reminds me of a certain Capcom hero in the best ways?. Though she eventually has access to more toys, her whip is a good catch-all area-of-effect whirlwind that works well out of the gate. Even though I had access to secondary weapons throughout I always felt comfortable using the whip.

It all sounds good so far right? Well, while Darksiders III does benefit from the scaled-down mechanics it takes a hit in other ways. My main issue with traversal is that it feels limited. It's the same sin Prince of Persia 2008 commits; it gives you a few tools to move about but only lets you use them in certain areas. The non-organic whip swing is a perfect example: it feels like you should be able to use it way more than you actually can. It all makes for a less connected world than Gunfire promised, perhaps best highlighted by the fact that I frequently forgot to go back to the hub forge to upgrad??e my weapons.

Darksiders III review

That all funnels into the perception that the entire progression system lacks panache. A lot of emphasis is put on leveling up to outpace the increasingly powerful threats the game throws at you, but the act of leveling and even upgrading weapons with socketed runes is frequently dull, almost like the team pulled back too much from the million-item Darksiders II s?ystem. There is a middle-ground, they just haven't f??ound it yet.

While the character design and the artwork is spot-on, the environments look like they were grafted out of a game several generations ago. Now for me, that's fine! I can regularly go back to PS2-era action games and?? heartily enjoy them without ever pondering the merits of screen tearing or anti-aliasing. But there are a few locations that transcended notions of "feeling dated," as they were too barren for their own good. The fact that it's a bit shorter than the first two entries (it to??ok me around 10 hours to see the credits and five more to mostly clean things up) might be a plus for you. On my second go-around, skipping cutscenes, its speedrun potential really shined through.

Most of my complaints are related to the RPG bits which are not the main focus of Darksiders III. It remains an action-fuele??d project and that's an angle it does well??, reigning in some of the out-of-hand ideas from its predecessor. With all of the efforts to resurrect this once dead and buried series I hope there's a chance to wrap it all up with Strife: I want to see this story through until the end, blemishes and all.

[This review is based on a re??tail build of the game provided by ?the publisher.]

I studied the whip

Darksiders III like its predecessors can be a?? mite unforgiving at times, especially on higher difficulties.

Here are a few tips to help get you started.

  • This is a mantra I repeat often, but make sure you learn all the ins and outs of a boss fight before you start to use consumables on them. Initially when buying an individual item from the merchant Vulgrim it'll increase in price so you want to make them count. That said, there are ways to get an extra oomph from your powers.
  • Think of your Havoc form (LB+RT super, comparable to Devil Trigger or Rage of the Gods) as an extra heal. Similarly you want to save this for when you're really comfortable with a boss so you don't have to spend time working your meter back up or waste an item to refresh it.
  • Speaking of topping things off, items other than your main potions have cooldowns. If you need to replenish a meter use the item before you enter the boss arena and wait for the cooldown to drop. Then you'll be ready to pop something else when you begin the battle.
  • Go back to the hub forge often. Seriously, do it. The vendor there will randomly give you items that increase your power depending on how far you are in the story and will periodically upgrade your gear if you have the reagents. There's no downside to occasionally going back, just make sure you look for the circular rune icon on the teleportation menu to get back to where you came from.
  • The best elemental wrath attack (mini-super) for groups, and even more stationary bosses, is the twister from Fury's electric form. It stays in the battlefield for an extended period of time and can mix up enemies or stunlock them, allowing you to get a handle on the situation without feeling overwhelmed. I generally keep Fury in electric form when roaming the world.

Yap yap yap yap yap

There's a lot of heavy-worded pomp and circumstance in the three-minute Darksiders III introduction video. Well, until Fury gets a chance to say her piece. She'd rather just? get on with the killing.

Shortly there??after, the narrator states the obvious and says "You are the most impatient of your kin." Fury really doesn't want to hear it. You can learn a l??ot about her personality by the way she handles this interaction. You can also learn a lot about her personality by the fact that her name is Fury.

Darksiders III releases next week on November 27. We'll have a verdict for you sometime around then as to whether Gunfire Games (formerly Vigil Games) succeeded with the third installment in the series it knows best. But, based on what I saw at PAX West, it's looking good.

Two DLC packs heading outta hell

Next month brings the launch of edgy underground hack 'n' slasher Darksiders III, which sees the flame-headed Fury take on an army of monstrosities in her quest to hunt down the Seven Deadly Si?ns.

THQ Nordic has recently released details of two DLC packs that are coming to the game, post-release. Neither pack h?as been dated, been info has been released on the adventures fans can expect Fury to embark upon, once she has her shit taken care of.

First up is The Crucible, essentially a colosseum as such, where Fury, invited by a mysterious host, can test her mettle against wave upon wave of increasingly difficult opponents. Following that will be Keepers of the Void, which is more of a standard story chap??ter, and will see Fury travel to The Serpent Holes, tasked with remov?ing a dire threat. Completing this task will reward our girl with the legendary Abyssal Armour.

Darksiders III launches November 27 on PS4, PC and Xbox One.

THQ Nordic has dropped another trailer for their hellish hack 'n' slash adventure title Darksiders III, helping players learn a little about the lore and b?ackstory of the mise?rable den of sin and the denizens that reside within it.

This shor??t trailer introduces us to The Charred Council. Formed a bazillion years ago, The Council were responsible for holding balance between Heaven and Hell for centuries, whilst awaiting the coming of the kingdom of Man, which eventually turned up to throw a spanner in the works.

Now, in the times of the great Endwar, The Charred Council oversee that fight between good and evil, playing referee to the greatest battle time has ever known, ultimately deciding the fate of the three kingdoms and dominion over all. Heavy stuff. If you prefer your trailers a little more action-packed, then you can check protagonist Fury in action here and here.

Rock 'n' Roll

THQ Nordic and Gunfire Games have dropped another cataclysmic trailer for underworld adventure sequel Darksiders III. In the new video, we get to see cyber-goth hero Fury adopt her "Force Hollow" form, ?giving her devastating new weapons and powers.

Once Fury pops Force Hollow, she is armed with a scythe-like hammer with which to rain down heavy blows on a hapless opponent's noggin. Not only that, but Fury can concentrate power, giving her body an aura that can attract debris and rubble, which she can then use in powerful explosive???? attacks.

Force Hollow also allows Fury the ability to cling to walls and ceilings, providing access to new areas or allowing her to get the perfect angle for that surprise "Howdy" into battle. Whilst Darksiders III i??sn't reall??y for me, I can' t deny it's looking like a riot, with Fury's (literally) earth-shattering battles sure to please fans of THQ's edgy series.

Darksiders III launches November 27 on PS4, PC and Xbox One.

More Metroid than Zelda

It's kind of a small miracle that Darksiders III is getting made -- or at least the way it's getting made. Back in 2013, Vigil Games (developer of Darksiders and its sequel) went belly-up alongside its parent company THQ. A bunch of former Vigil employees formed a new studio called Gunfire Games. It got through the first five years mostly by riding the early wave of VR. Chronos is Gunfire's most popular game.

We talked with senior designer Richard Vorodi and he can't really hide the fact that a third Darksiders is what th??e team wanted to do all along. Now that it finally has the opportunity, Vigil -- I mean Gunfire -- ??is making the most of it.

Our brief demo takes place near the beginning of Darksiders III for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, that's the logical way to introduce mechanics, systems, and characters. This game stars Fury. She's the sister to War and Death (protagonists of the first two Darksiders), a??nd combined they make up three-quarters of the Four Horsemen of the Apoca??lypse.

More interestingly, we're shown the beginning because the game is mostly open-ended after that. Fury is on a quest to hunt down the manifestations of the seven deadly sins (it's all very Se7en like that) and they can be encountered in any order. Darksiders III doesn'??t really push you in any certain direction.

Players will have to figure out for themselves where they want to go, and that process carries over to navigating the world. Vorodi tells us Darksiders III doesn't have any form of map. He says it just isn't fun to constantly pull up a map to make sure you're going the right way. Instead, there's a strong reliance on landmarks. See that big church in the distance? Now you see the giant tree near it??? Now you know two crucial parts of the map.

Learning and internalizing all of that is part of the experience. Vorodi assures us players will eventually know exactly where they are and where they need to go. If the last two games were Zelda-eque, Vorodi tells us this one is more Metroid. He also confirms that there's a fast travel system but that most people won't necessarily want to use it super often. Journeying between points A an?d B will yield lots of resources needed for upgrading. Instantly telep?orting to the destination means forfeiting all that.

We're getting ahead of ourselves, though. Those opening minutes as Fury really highlight how Darksiders III separates itself from its elder siblings. Fury is a mage and that means she isn't a marvelous brawler. Attacks have some distanc??e to them, as she pulls enemies in with her whip in order to unleash a flurried combination of strikes. There are hints at real depth to the combat mechanics, but we weren't exposed to much of it. This is an action RPG and our start-game build of Fury didn't have much in the way of upgraded abilities.

This culminates in our first major foe: Envy. She's a a wicked bird-like creature who also goes by the alias Resentment Made Flesh (A??++ for that). Vorodi explains how the Sins' characteristics influence the art design. Envy has always been jealous of the Four Horsemen and their power, so her clothes and accessories heavily resemble stuff that War and Death wear. The other Sins are similarly designed as visual representations of their traits.

Envy's the weakest of the Sins, but she's no pushover. There's a Souls-like rhythm to the boss fight (??yes, I know everyone's sick of the comparison) that requires patience, well-timed dodging, and striking at opportune moments. There's verticality too. Envy destroys the arena, forcing us to bound upward after her. The whip pulls double duty as a handy platforming devic??e, wrapping around sturdy holds to fluidly swing Fury across chasms.

Our Darksiders III demo ended shortly after besting Envy, once we stumbled upon that aforesaid giant tree. It's an impressive showing, and it has us eager to tackle the other Sins with a more capable Fury. Against all odds, Darksiders is back after it seemed to succumb to it??s own personal apocalypse.?? Gunfire seems hellbent on making good on this second lease on life.

Darksiders III launches November 27, 2018 on???? PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

THQ Nordic has dropped a brand new trailer for the upcoming hack 'n' slash adventure sequel, Darksiders III, coming to PS4, Xbox One?? and PC in late November.

The new trailer features a booming voice, amping the player to prepares for the edgiest ride of their lives, while pulse-pounding footage showcases 500% badass Fury - FURY - as she lays waste to all manner of beasts and monsters with her brutal metallic whip skills in a quest to defeat the Seven Deadly Sin?s.

It's pretty hardcore stuff, and features a ton of colour and stylistic design choices. With all this lightning, pupil-less girls, spiky armour and mis-shapen monsters, all I can picture are the aesthetics that would adorn the boxes of 128MB graphics card back in the roaring '90s. Fury herself looks like she spent many years hard rockin' that lifestyle, but as a superfan of Mortal Kombat's Sindel, I can appreciate this.

Darksiders III launches on PS4, PC and Xbox One on November 27.

Somehow not called the 'Furious' Edition

Along with confirming the release date for Darksiders III today (basically mirroring the leak from this past weekend), THQ Noric has unveiled the various different editions of the game you can grab. Releasing on November 27 with the standard and collector's edition, there is a ludicrously expensive $400 "Apocalypse Edition" that blows me away ??with its price point.

To try and justify that crazy MSRP, the "Apocalypse Edition" will include not only the game and a steelbook but statues of all three main protagonists from the series and one for Vulgrim, the merchant from the series. Buyers will also receive a super large wall scroll as well as an amulet, the game's soundtrack, an artbook and a stu?pidly large 47" wide box.

If you don't feel like burning an entire paycheck on a single game, you can opt for the $150 "Collector's Edition" that will come with just the statue of Fury (Darksiders III's protagonist), the artbook, soundtrack, and steelbook. If you're cheaper, still, then the sta?ndard edition will be available for $59.99 with a pre-order bonus of some armor in-game.

Of course, that isn't enough, as Darksiders III will also have digital deluxe editions that sound a lot more reasonable in comparison to the physical ones. The regular deluxe download will sell for $79.99 and contain the game with two post-launch DLC packs, the pre-order armor skin, a 10% launch discount and 24-hour early access to the game. The $100 "Blades & Whip" edition will have all the same stuff as the regular deluxe version, just with copies of Darksiders: Warmastered Edition and Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition, though both will be locked until November 26.

[Update: THQ Nordic has announced a November 27 launch for Darksiders III.]

Well, it looks like Microsoft had a little scheduling snafu for our benefit. According to the official Microsoft store page for Darksiders III, the upcomin??g hack-n-slash title is looking at a release date set for N?ovember 26, 2018.

Here's a screenshot from the official store page:

Now, it's possible that this date is just a placeholder, but you'll remember that this game was announced in May 2017, with gameplay trailers following shortly after. We've heard little since then, but THQ Nordic is expected at Gamescom 2018 next month. It seems ??probable that an official announcement from them is on the horizon.

I'm going to need much more convincing

Following the reveal trailer, IGN has shared 12 minutes of pre-alpha footage from Darksiders III.

This is one of those times when the powers that be probably should have waited longer before starting up the marketing cycle. The game isn't due out until next year, and this early look is exactly that: early. T?he footage gives us an idea of what they're going for with Fury's whip-centric combat style, but so much of what I'm seeing here can be summed up as "needs polish," from the way attacks land to enemy behaviors?? to the HUD. It's clearly labeled pre-alpha, yes, but first impressions still mean a lot.

I'm on board with the whip, conceptually, but that incess?ant sound effect is going to break my mind. If you don't care to see the whole video, consider skipping to the eight-??minute mark for a boss fight.

For PS4, Xbox One, and PC, although you could probably have guessed that

[Update: Well, it's official. IGN has now added the official reveal trailer for Darksiders III to its YouTube channel. You can check it out ??at the ?end of the article.]

As of late, it's been coming across as if THQ Nordic has been doing everything in its power to put the Darksiders series back into the public spotlight. Taking into account the recently-released Warmastered Edition of the first game, as well as the the fact that both Darksiders titles were added to the Xbox One's list of backwards-compatible titles a little over a month ago, I couldn't help but get the impression that the publis??her was gearing for an announcement for a third title in the hack-and-s??lash game series.

Well, it looks as if my suspicions were well-founded. According to a recent Amazon listing, a third entry in the Darksiders series is in the works. Developed by Gunfire Games, Darksiders III will take place in an open world, and, like the other two titles in the series, will star one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. In this case, the whip-wielding Fury, who'll be facing off against the physical manifestati??ons of the Seven Deadly Sins and their servants.

As of the time of writing, the Amazon listing for Darksiders III claims that the game will hit store shelves in 2018, although the date shown on the page is likely to be tentative. It will be released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. While it'?s not entirely unexpected, I'm sure that the omission of the Nintendo Switch from this list of compatible platforms?? may be a disappointment to some.

For as silly and charmingly-edgy as these games can be, I do have a bit of a soft spot for the Darksiders series. For that reason, I can't help but find myself a little excited about this one, even if I have become increasin??gly ambivalent about open-world gaming in recent years.
