On August 20, 2024, right after Gamescom was aired, Team Jade changed the name of their upcoming tactical FPS from Delta Force: Hawk Ops to simply Delta Force. Still, the content it offers during the alpha test remains the same.

The multiplayer game mode is a part of it, and like other FPS games (say, Counter-Strike 2, Rainbow Six Siege, or Valorant) you can unlock different ranks.

How many ranks are there in Delta Force

In Delta Force, the Havoc Warfare mode has seven ranks in total. Some of the lower ranks are subdivided into three tiers. As you gain more military merits and rank higher, you'll find them subdivided into f?our or even five tiers.

They have multiple locations and give you enough missions to complete, bosses to fight, and looting areas to upg??rade your arsenal.

Havoc Warfare maps on the other hand are much more open. Ascended and Cracked are the only two maps available for the mode in Alph??a Test. Since these maps are not as dynamic as the ones from the extraction mode, you can be as creative as you want in multiplayer. Want to sit back an?d snipe enemies? You can do that. Rushing straight into the enemy base is your forte? You'd be able to do that too.

Tactical Turmoil

Tactical Turmoil is the extraction mode in the game and is very similar to the likes of Escape from Tarkov, Arena Breakout: Infinite, and Grayzone Warfare. It's a PvPvE mode which means ?you'll find both real players a?nd AI in matches.

You can complete missions, loot important items like meds and weapons, kill bosses, and finally extract successfully after ticking off everything from the list. Like other ext?raction shooters, you'll lose everything from your inventory once you die, which means you'll have to start afresh from the next match.

Havoc Warfare

Havoc Warfare is a dedicated PvP multiplayer game mode and gives you a proper Battlefield-like experience. Y??ou?? get matched in 32 vs 32 lobbies where one team needs to defend while the other one attacks.

Delta Force Hawk Ops marks the return of the classic franchise

The first Delta Force video game was released towards the end of 1998, which was followed by sequels. Delta Force Hawk Ops marks the? official return of the franchise, announced back in 2023. While the final release date isn't available at the moment, you can explore some of the modes as part of the PC alpha test.

In the alpha test, you can play the Hazard Operation and Havoc Warfare modes. While a full campaign?? is expected to be part of the final product, it's unavailable in the PC alpha test. The game is being developed by Team Jade, and it will be published by TiMi Studios. The shooter also has scope for in-depth weapon and vehicle customization.

Request playtest access through Steam

The most straightforward way to get into the Alpha is to request access to the alpha playtest through Steam. It’s easy, a?nd it only takes a moment.

Simply visit the Steam store page for Delta Force: Hawk Ops. Scroll down past the media scroller, and beneath “Coming Soon,�there is a window that says “Join the Delta Force Playtest.�Click the button that says “Request Access.�/p>

However, there’s no guarantee this will get you in. While it’s likely that the developer will include some players through this method, the clear way they want you to acc?ess the Alpha is through keys given out during upcoming Twitch streams.

How to access the Delta Force: Hawk Ops Alpha through Twitch keys

It’s less straightforward, but the main way to get into the Delta Force: Hawk Ops alpha is by grabbing a key given out during Twitch streams.

The Twitch streams will be happening August 6, with future opportunit??ies on August 10 and August 17. Some of them will drop Steam Keys, the other will drop “non-Steam�keys for the Level Infinite launcher. Here are the tim??es, as per the news post:

After you’ve viewed the required 60 min?utes, you’ll get a notification from the Twitch Message center that will ask you to link your Level Infinite account with your Twitch account. Do so, and you’ll be able to claim a key. That is, if you are opting for a Steam Key, you will be given one. If you’re planning on using the Level Infinite launcher, you’ll simply be given access.

If you got a Steam key, open Steam and click “Add a Game�in the lower-left of the window. Selec??t “Activate a Product on Steam.�Input the key, and you’ll be given access.

If you miss out on the Twitch drop timeframes, don’t fret. You can still try out the Steam method, and it’s likely that more opportunities to try out Delta Force: Hawk Ops will pop up in the future.
