Dance into Deletion

[Update: As mysteriously as they vanished, some (but not all) of the removed DSiWare titles have now returned to the eShop. These titles include Shantae: Risky's Revenge, Plants vs. Zombies, Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ, and Zoo Frenzy. According to Delisted Games, only five titles remai?n unaccounted for. No official word has been offered by Nintendo regarding the tempo??rary removal.]

A selection of DSiWare titles has been quietly deactivated from the Nintendo eShop. The deletion seems to be affecting titles released before the summer of 2011, which are currently no longer purchasable ??for the DS and 3DS platforms.

The vanishing titles were first spotted by Twitter user @ComeOutPunching, who noted the disappearance of WayForward platformers Shantae: Risky's Revenge and Mighty Flip Champs!, Bandai Namco's Mr. Driller: Drill Til You Drop, and Nintendo's own Dr. Mario Express, among others.

The news also came as a surprise to Shantae co-creator and WayForward CCO Matt Bozon, who expressed his shock via Twitter. Fortunately, Risky's Revenge remains available for purchase on Nintendo Switch, so that's at least one game accounted for. As of this writing, no reason has been given for the titles' removal – maybe a licensing expiration, maybe simply an error on Nintendo's part – nor is it known whether further games will be removed from th??e digital storefront.

Closure begins in Japan next March

The Nintendo DSi Shop has been around since the system's launch in 2008/2009, but its time is now coming to an end, as Nintendo has announced plans to shutter the storefront next year.

The process will begin in Japan on September 30, 2016, after which time players will no longer be able to add "DSi Points" to their accounts. Then, on March 31, 2017??????????????????????????, users will lose access to the shop, including the ability to download previously purchased content. 

In order to avoid losing games, Nintendo recommends players transfer any DSi software to?? a Nintendo 3DS system. Any DSiWare that is currently accessible via the Nintendo eShop will continue to be available ?after the DSi Shop closes, though not all DSiWare can be found on the 3DS storefront.

Some sort of refund program will be available to people wi??th unused DSi ??point cards.

It should be noted that nothing has been announced by Nintendo's branches in the Americas, Europe, Oceania, and other regions. However, the party is clearly going to end sometime. So, if you're still using a DSi or have your eye on some DSiWare, you may want to start making preparations for the day you can no longer access the system's digital library. You know, while you still ca?n.

Also, Mario Bros. and Bugs vs. Tanks

It feels like we've been waiting forever, but finally, New Super Luigi U is here. This release serves as DLC to New Super Mario Bros. U, until the stand-alone disc arrives. On the Virtual Console, you're getting Mario Bros. (that arcade port with Mario and Luigi as frenemies) and Wrecking Crew. Little Inferno is also discounted to €4.99 / &po?und;4.49 until June 26th.

On the 3DS side, Keiji Inafune's Guild02 title Bugs vs. Tanks has arrived, alongside of 3D Game Collection, Gardenscapes, The Phantom Thief Stina and 30 Jewels, Witch's Cat, and 101 DinoPets 3D. The 3DS Virtual Console is getting Defenders of Oasis and Tails Adventure alongside of a LEGO Legends of Chima: Laval's Journey demo, and a discount on Super Little Acorns 3D Turbo (€2.49 / £2.49 until July 4th).

Lastly, Armageddon Operation Dragon and Jewel Quest 5 - The Sleepless Star hit DSiWare. It's not the best week ever but each platform has at least one brand new release. Stay tuned for our reviews once they hit the US side of the?? pond.

Also, Mighty Switch Force! 2

The Wii U and 3DS have at least one new game each on offer today, with the Wii U launching Mutant Mudds Deluxe -- an enhanced port of the 3DS and PC games with new levels.

The 3DS is getting the bulk of the offerings however, as the brand new Mighty Switch Force! 2 is out, alongside of Big Bass Arcade: No Limit (3DS eShop), Columns (3DS VC), Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (3DS VC), Shining Force: Sword of Hajya (3DS VC), and Picross e (eShop).

As for what I'm getting, I've been playing Mutant Mudds Deluxe for the past week now. Although there isn't enough new content to recommend a triple, or maybe even a double-dip, you should easily pick it up if you haven't experienced this modern classic yet. Expect Tony Ponce's full review coming very soon. Also, you can expect my review of Mighty Switch Force! 2 in the next few days.

Also, Spelunker

Not a whole lot is on offer this week. On the Wii U side of things, Spelunker is hitting the Wii U Virtual Console, as is Yoshi for a limited time (June 12th to July 11th) at a $0.30 price. Trine 2: Director's Cut is discounted down to $9.99, as is Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth (now $29.99 permanently). Next up on the Wii U $0.30 plate is Donkey Kong as the last game in the lineup, although I really hope Nintendo keeps the train going.

Outside of the Wii U, the 3DS eShop is getting Animal Crossing: New Leaf digitally at midnight on June 9th. I have to say, New Leaf is a great digital game, as you'll always have it with you no matter what, which is perfect for quick "town checking" sessions months down the line when you may not think to pack a cart. On the Wii U Virtual Console, Sengoku 3 comes to town for 900 Points.

You're out of luck if you aren't a fan of Spelunker, as that's pretty much the only real thing on offer today for Europe's Nintendo Download via the Virtual Console. If you're into discounts, Spelunker is €3.49 / £2.39 until June 13th. ZombiU is permanently discounted to €29.99 / £24.99, which is very nice and about the right price for the game. Ben 10: Omniverse is €29.99 / £29.99, and Just Dance 4 is now €39.99 / £29.99.

On the 3DS side, there's Tetris Online (Tetris Axis) via a full retail download, plus Jewel Quest 4 Heritage and Break Tactics on DSiWare. So yeah, that's about it -- other than the ZombiU discount I don't see much happening this week.

Oh, and Kirby's Dream Course

It's a puff ball kind of week, as three Kirby games are hitting the Wii U Virtual Console -- Kirby's Dream Land 3, Kirby Super Star, and Kirby's Dream Course. If you buy two of the aforementioned titles by May ?30th, you'll get one free.

On the 3DS side, we have Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D dropping on May 24th (keep in mind this game has a huge file size of 17,693 blocks), as well as Naruto Powerful Shippuden, Groove Heaven, and a Denpa Men: They Came By Wave sale (20% off until May 30th).

And that's about it folks. If you're not a Kirby fan I'm afraid there isn't much here for you.

Europeans have a lot to look forward to today, as Kirby's Dream Course (one of my favorite Kirby games) and Kirby Super Star (one of the best platformers of all time) headline the Wii U Virtual Console. If you own Kirby's Adventure on the Wii U eShop (which you should, as it was €0.30 / £0.30), you can net both games for the discounted price of €5.59 / £3.79 each until May 30th. Personally, I'm loving this new franchise discount system they started last week with Super Mario Bros. 2 and hope they continue it. Resident Evil Revelations and LEGO Batman 2 are also coming to the Wii ??U?? by way of full retail downloads on May 24th.

The 3DS is getting some new content with Swords and Soldiers 3D (beware, I hear bad news about this port), as well as Air Battle Hockey 3D and Groove Heaven. Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars 3D are available as full downloads if digital is your thing. Denpa Men: They Came By Wave is discounted to until May 30th, and Project X Zone gets a demo, as well as Rabbids Rumble.

Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts, it's retro week!

Today is not a particularly shiny Nintendo Download day, as the bulk of it is retro-centric. The Wii U will actually be getting a few things this week, with Super Mario Bros. 2 on the Wii U Virtual Console, as well as Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts. If you own Super Mario World, you'll get Mario 2 for a discounted price of $2.49. Also, Nintendo debuted Super Metroid for $0.30 last night. On May 21st, Resident Evil Revelations and LEGO Batman 2 will be getting full retail eShop releases. If you haven't checked out Runner 2 yet (it's excellent), it's on sale for $11.25 unti??l May 30th.

On the 3DS side, Level-5's Guild02 debuts on the eShop with Starship Damrey, which I'm interested to check out. You'll also be getting Swords and Soliders 3D, Bowling Bananza, California Super Sports, and Dress to Play: Magic Bubbles. The 3DS Virtual Console will nab Mega Man 5, as well as Harvest Moon. Strangely, the Wii Virtual Console is getting King of Fighters '99.

Strokes of gray

The combination of puzzle and platforming is one of my favorite hybrid genres of all time. There's something about having to figure out challenges on the fly while testing your twitch capabili?ties that makes for a unique experience, and the mix of the two tends to fit perfectly more often than not.

Unfortunately, the formula doesn't always go right. Sometimes, the action elements feel off due to wonky physics, and not all puzzles are created equal. Color Commando is ??one of those games that could have been so much more with j??ust a few tweaks.

Despite the latter half the moniker that may imply a heavy emphasis on action, Color Commando is actually a puzzle game. The only "action" you'll be participating in is falling, moving, climbing ladders, and touching the screen to paint. See, Color Commando plays out the same way in nearly every l?evel -- there's three optional coins to grab, and a treasure chest goal somewhere? on the map.

It's your job to pick up different paint balls (pink, purple, or green) to gain the ability to "paint" the screen by tapping it, which nullifies enemies of the same color in a small square-shaped area. On paper, it makes for some pretty interesting puzzle possibilities, as you essentially have to choose which area to paint (even though there might be multiple enemies of the same color), since you only get one glob per color per map. At first, you start to see the potential in the game as you pick it up,? but it quickly goes downhill from there.

The main issue with the game is hit detection -- to be blunt, it's off. Many a time I've blotted out an area, mak??ing it a safe zone from the same color enemy only to find out that it wasn't, and one pixel wasn't covered, causing me to die and restart the entire level. Some of the puzzles are outright broken as well. For instance, there are a few areas where it's obvious that you're supposed to fall off a ledge into danger to grab a coin -- but in many cases, you can just teeter off the edge and grab the coin without falling. The design of a handful of levels feels unfinished, and unpolished, leading to some really easy 100% victories without much of a challenge.

It's a shame, because the retro veneer is fairly charming, as is one level tune that sounds like it's straight out of the RPG Lunar. But in this c?ase repetition is a curse -- you'll eventually get sick of hearing the same song over and over and seeing the same two enemy variations level after level.

There's five worlds with five stages each (one in each set? is a bonus level, unlocked by getting every coin in that set). If you're skilled at puzzle platformers, you'll finish it extremely quickly -- basically, for a few bucks, you'll be getting around an hour of entertainment. It took me about 45 minutes to nearly 100% the game. As an aside, it's actually on DS?iWare, so you don't necessarily need a 3DS to play.

Color Commando has initial shades of fun, but it's basically over before it starts. Despite the cheap-looking enemy designs, there is a decent amount of charm here -- the game just doesn't get an opportunity to develop it. If you're itching for a platform puzzle title and have exhausted all of your choices on both the DS and 3DS, Color Commando is a decent way to spend a couple of ??bucks, but ot??herwise, it's skippable beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Resident Evil Revelations Wii U demo

Headlining this week's Nintendo Download is Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move ($9.99), which got a rave review from our own Tony Ponce. Also, SpeedX 3D Hyper Edition ($2.99) is set for the 3DS eShop, as well as the DSiWare game Publisher Dream (200 Points).

Strangely enough, the Wii U is actually starting to get...things...as a few Virtual Console games, a sale, and a demo are on the way. Specifically, Solomon's Key ($4.99) and Xevious ($4.99) are on the way to the Virtual Console, Chasing Aurora is on sale from May 9th to the 16th for $7.49, and Resident Evil Revelations is getting a free demo on May 14th. Also make sure you pick up Tank! Tank! Tank! for free from last week.

Kung Fu Rabbit, Pac-Man, and Mega Man

Today is a pretty lively day on the Wii U and 3DS eShop storefronts, even if pretty much everything is a re-release. In a strange turn of events, Tank! Tank! Tank! will be free on the Wii U eShop, with paid DLC in tow. Kung Fu Rabbit, an action platformer, is also available.

After last week's very special Virtual Console update, it seems as if we'll be getting normal VC additions from here on out. To help kick things off, Pac-Man and Mega Man are available now for $4.99 on the Wii U eShop. Be sure and check out my rundown if you need more info on the Wii U Virtual Console. The Wii U eShop is also getting a hefty amount of sales, including Nano Assault Neo ($6.99), and Zen Pinball 2 (various tables on sale for $4.99, and $1.49).

The 3DS side of things is a lot less exciting, with Bearshark (3DS eShop), Gummy Bears Magical Medallion (3DS eShop), My Riding Stables 3D (3DS eShop), Armageddon Operation Dragon (DSiWare) and Balloon Fight (3DS VC). The 3DS has its own sales, including Marvel Pinball 3D ($3.99), 3D Classics: Kirby's Adventure ($4.99), Dillon's Rolling Western ($6.99), Pushmo ($4.99), Fluidity: Spin Cycle ($7.99), Tokyo Crash Mobs ($.4.99), Nano Assault EX ($9.99), Art of Balance: Touch! Today is a happy day for Wii U Rayman fans, as the Rayman Legends Challenge App is live today on the eShop. It features a challenge mode that can be played either solo or co-op, and it'll have daily and weekly challenges, as well as a mix of levels until the game's proper launch. It's basically one of the only significant exclusives the Wii U eSho?p has ever gotten to date, so enjoy it.

Meanwhile on the portable front the 3DS is getting Mega Man 4 (3DS VC, $4.99), Crazy Construction (3DS eShop, $4.99), and Color Commando (DSiWare). The Wii Virtual Console is getting Sengoku (900 Nintend?o Points). Not a whole lot this week really, but hey, a major free game is pretty sweet.

There's a pretty weird mix of offerings today, all of which are 3DS related. Starting this afternoon, you can pick up Harvest Moon 3D: The Tale of Two Towns (research this old retail title before you buy it), Mystery Murders: Jack the Ripper, Puzzler Brain Games, Puzzler World 2013, Super Little Acorns 3D Turbo, Tetris Axis, Witch & Hero, and Working Dawgs: Rivet Retriever.

Oh my goodness...that's a lot of puzzle games! LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins also graces the eShop on April 21st? (as well as retail) if you're not into bite sized experiences. DLC wise, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infin?ity is getting the "Strongest Trail" dungeon, and the Poke Forest is still free until April 30th.

The Guild01 collection is also on sale, with Liberation Maiden at $4.99, Crimson Shroud at $4.99, and Aero Porter at $2.99. I'd recommend all of them for that price. Finally Dress To Play: Cute Witches! joins the sale for $1.99.

It's a decent week ahead of us in terms of Nintendo downloads, as th??e 3DS and Wii U are getting a few games ea?ch this week.

On the 3DS front, we have Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers coming April 16th on the eShop as well as retail, and Dillon's Rolling Western: The Last Ranger. The 3DS is also getting Soccer Up 3D and Clash of the Elementalists.

On the Wii U front, you'll be able to download Injustice: Gods Among Us on April 16th, as well as Kirby's Adventure for the Wii U Virtual Console on April 17th, at $0.30 for a limited time.

There's quite a bit of diversity today on the Nintendo Download front, as the Wii U, 3DS, ?and Wii are all getting content.

The Wii U will front Toki Tori 2 (Wii U eShop, $13.49 until April 25th), which I'll have a review up for today. The 3DS is getting Real Heroes Firefighter 3D (3DS eShop), Gabrielle's Ghostly Grove 3D (3DS eShop), and the original Castlevania (3DS VC).

Colors! 3D (3DS eShop) is also getting a free title update, escapeVektor (3DS eShop) is getting a half off sale until April 18th (now $4.99), and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity is getting four pieces of DLC priced at $2.00, $??2.00, $2.50, and $3.50.

Not to be left out, the Wii Virtual Console is getting NAM-1975.

The 3DS continues it's streak of original, exclusive games as it gets HarmoKnight ($14.99) today. In other 3DS news, Legend of the River King (3DS VC, $4.99, an and awesome fishing title, by the way) is available, as are full digital downloads for Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed and Resident Evil Revelations.

As for the Wii U and Wii, we have...wait. Wait a minute. Um, it appears as if nothing is going to hit Nintendo's console realm today. There is a sale however, for Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, a game I highly reco??mmend and can be ??played by five players (with the GamePad).

So go pick up Punch Out!! for 30 cents and just hope the April update hits sooner than later.

The 3DS is red hot again this week with Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, which are both available on March 24th. Gates to Infinity will have a free DLC dungeon, the Poké Forest, available until April 30th -- at which point it'll cost $2.00.

In other 3DS news, the Pokédex 3D Pro app will be on sale for $9.99 for a limited time, as will Mutant Mudds, on sale for $5.99. The 3DS is also getting Lola's Math Train and 50 Classic Games 3D today.

Let's all hear it for the Wii U breaking out of its slump! It's getting...one game today! Zen Pinball 2. The Wii virtual console is also getting The Path of the Warrior: Art of Fighting 3.

The Wii U is getting a decent amount of full retail downloads this week, with LEGO City Undercover ($49.99, March 18), Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate ($59.99, March 19), Need for Speed Most Wanted U ($59.99, March 19), and Croods: Prehistoric Party ($39.99, March 19). Punch Out!! is also dropping March 21 for the Wii U Virtual Console for a cool $0.30 and a Chasing Aurora demo i??s now available?? to go along with its 50% off sale.

The 3DS is also getting some love, with Mega Man 3 (3DS VC), a Ketzal's Corridors sale ($4.99), and a HarmoKnight demo. On the full retail eShop side of things, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate ($39.99), Rayman Origins ($29.99), Reel Fishing 3D Paradise ($19.99), and The Croods: Prehistoric Party ($29.99) are launching.

DSiWare is getting Forgotten Legions and Goony -- I really wish that last one was Goonies 2 for the NES.

The rest of the offerings are Wrecking Crew (3DS VC), which was a former ambassador program only game, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D (3DS eShop), ATV Wild Ride 3D (3DS eShop), Nano Assault EX (3DS eShop), and Monster High: Skultimate Roller Maze.

Besides the new offerings, you're getting a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity demo (3DS eShop) and a price drop for Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword (3DS eShop), which has been cut to $4.99.

Outside of the 3DS, King of Fighters '98 has hit the Wii Virtual Console. There are no Wii? U related happenings today, sadly.

Best week ever?

This week's Nintendo Download has something for just about everyone. Bit.Trip Presents Runner2 is fantastic and it's available now via the Wii U eShop. Also on the console side of things, Retro City Rampage has arrived on WiiWare at long last. Yes, WiiWare. Remember when that was a thin????g?

Over on the 3DS, new arrivals include Etrian Odyssey IV, Coaster Creator 3D, and Mahjong Mysteries: Ancient Athena. Fire Emblem Awakening's Champions of Yore 1 DLC is still free for the time being. Make sure to grab that before it disappears on March 6. Also from Fire Emblem, the second installment in the Golden Pack DLC can be grabbed for just $2.50.

Side-scrolling platformer Fractured Soul is on sale for $7.99. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate has demo. And an abomination called Easter Eggztravaganza has ar?rived on DSiWare. Because of course it has.

Today is one of the most boring episodes of Nintendo Download yet, as the featured app is Wii Street U -- a program that lets you view virtual streets via Google Maps, like a billion other devices that you can actually take out of your home?.

3DS wise, we have Dig Dug (3DS VC), Rabbids Travel in Time 3D (eShop), Petz Fantasy 3D (eShop), and Moke Moke (DSiWare), alongside of a Naruto Powerful Shippuden demo. Fire Emblem: Awakening also gets more DLC today.

Strangely, there's also a Wii Virtual Console game in the mix, with World Heroes 2 Jet. The "once a month the Wii Virtual Console gets something while t??he Wii U doesn't get any new gam??es" thing is kind of freaking me out Nintendo.

Birds & Beans, Metal Torrent, Paper Mario, and Kirby

If you have some coins to spare, you can grab four new games right now from Club Nintendo: Birds & Beans (DSiWare, 100 Coins), Metal Torrent (DSiWare, 150 Coins), Paper Mario (Wii Virtual Console/Nintendo 64, 200 Coins), and Kirby Super Star (Wii Virtual Console/SNES, 150 Coins). They're all available until Mar??ch 10, 2013.

As for recommendations, Kirby Super Star and Paper Mario are probably my only must-haves if you haven't played Kirby on the DS or the Wii collection already. The other two games are pretty solid, making it one of the best ?Club Nintend??o offerings to date.

Ken's Rage 2 on Wii U, Etrian Odyssey IV demo

Be prepared for a load of non-exciting news on the Nintendo front this week. The Wii U is getting its first ever digital-download only release in Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage 2 ($59.99). Before you pick it up,?????????????????????????? make sure you check out Jim's review coming shortly.

3DS wise, there's Mega Man 2 ($4.99), Brain Age: Concentration Training ($29.99), Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 3D, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 3D ($29.99), and Rayman 3D ($29.99). Basically, the only new release on 3DS is Ah! Heaven (200 Nintendo Points).

There's also a demo for Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan, which I'm pretty damn excited for!

As for what I'm getting, I can't resist Mega Man! That's about it folks. The Wii U still retains its drought of non-exclusive eShop games, after the relatively quiet release of Puddle last week.

The Wii U is getting something this week in the form of a game that was released on PC, Mac, Xbox Live Arcade, and the PlayStation Network last year -- Puddle. If you haven't tried the wonderful game The Cave yet, check out Conrad's review as you download the new demo.

On the portable side of things, Ikachan is available, as is Witch's Cat, Bloody Vampire, and Ice Climber for the eShop Virtual Console. If you're so inclined, you can pick up Fire Emblem for $39.99 on Monday.

To top things off, there's a DSiWare game called 99Moves that comes out today, in addition to Sparkle Snapshots 3D DLC, and Metal Slug 4 for the Wii Virtual Console.

Biorhythm and a ZombiU demo

Frogs are my favorite animal.

Yep, that's what I'm choosing to focus on in today's issue of Nintendo Downlo??ad, because this week?? is one of the weakest offerings yet, and it features tons of animal games. That's alright though, as you guys are probably busy playing all of the other amazing 3DS games on offer in the past month.

Notice how the phrase "Wii U" wasn't included in that statement, as there hasn't been one single solitary original game released on the Wii U eShop since launch.  So without further ado...

The 3DS eShop is getting Reel Fishing 3D Paradise Mini, Wild Adventures: Ultimate Deer Hunt 3D, 101 DinoPets 3D and Hello Kitty Picnic with Sanrio Friends. Biorhythm, an intriguing mathematical applic?ation based on rhyth??mic biological cycles, hits DSiWare.

Although it's still not an original game, the Wii U is at least getting something today, in the form of  ZombiU and NBA 2K13 demos. The Wii Virtual Console is netting World Heroes 2.

It's Django -- the D is silent

It's kind of a "meh" week for Nintendo Download fans, but it's far from worthless. Unchained Blades (which came out last year on the PSP in Japan, and this year in the US) leads the way today as the big full retail release on the 3DS eShop, as does Code of Princess, if you can't find the physical version of the game.

Elsewhere on the eShop, you'll also be able to nab the very neat looking downloadable game Gunman Clive, as well as Air Battle Hockey, Galaxy Saver (DSiWare), and Snowboard Xtreme (DSiWar??e). Once aga?in, there's zero Wii U releases to be found.

As for what I'm getting, I'll be checking out Gunman Clive, and pretty muc??h nothing else. Still, the 3DS has been on a roll lately (the eShop has been great for months, actually), and the Wii U...has been utterly asleep at the wheel.

I can't resist the Mega

Mega Man 1 is finally hitting the 3DS Virtual Console, as is Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. Outside of those two classics, Fluidity: Spin Cycle is ready to go for the 3DS eShop, as is Johnny Impossible and Mahjong 3D - Warriors of the Emperor.

The DSiWare front is getting Goooooal America, Jump Trials Extreme, and Wizard Defenders. The Wiii is getting a lone release today in the form of Shock Troopers 2nd Squad. Once again the Wii U has zero ??unique releases (or any releases, for that matter).

Nintendo also announced the sales for Chasing Aurora, Little Inferno, and Trine 2: Director's Cut a week late. Thanks guys!

The Wii U is getting some HOT downloads

Things are kind of low key in this week's Nintendo Download, as there's a ton of old re???leases and some extremely dull new ones.

On the 3DS, you can grab Wario Land 2, escapeVektor, New Super Mario Bros. 2 DLC, Mario Tennis Open, Pilotwings Resort, Pokemon Rumble Blast, 3D Game Collection, BIT. TRIP SAGA, PIX3D, and Riding Stables 3D. There's also a demo for 2 Fast 4 Gnomz if you're interested in fast things ?and extreme gnomes.

On the DSiWare side of things, there's Anonymous Notes Chapter 3 - From the Abyss, Cake Ninja: XMAS, and Castle Conqueror - Heroes 2. The Wii Shop is also getting an odd update after being stagnant for weeks, with Vampire Crystals (with demo).

The Wii U eShop is finally showing off something today, as we're getting -- wait for it -- Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Killer apps ladies and gentlemen! Speaking of Jeopardy, I followed Ken Jennings on Twitter some time ago and haven't regretted it one bit.

Although they're not new, Trine 2 ($15.99 'til January 7), Little Inferno ($9.99 'til January 4), and Chasing Aurora ($7.49 'til January 3) are now on sale.
