Could there possibly be a better way to finish off your week than to take a pleasure cruise with some of your closest friends, and ruthlessly murder all of them? I can't think of one, so that's exactly what we're going to do tonight on Mash Tactics, as we play a few rounds of The Ship.

I seemed to have missed the boat (hehe) on this title when it was first released, but after finally digging in and playing few rounds with some friends, it was instantly decided that this absolutely must make an appearance on the live show. Is this the Fallout successor we've all been hoping for?

To say that I am a huge fan of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas would be a severe understatement. However, as much as I absolutely adore those two titles, I've always wanted to see the series return to its glorious isometric roots. Well, as luck would have it, I may just see that wish come true in the form of a sequel to the game that started it all, Wasteland.

Tonight on Mash Tactics, we'll be checking out the first few hours of Wasteland 2, and seeing if it can live up to the extreme expectations that fans of the original games have no doubt set. While it may be far to early to judge, as the game is still in its early access stages, we should be able to get a rough idea of how it's shaping up, and what it's planning to bring to the table. If you can only watch one episode of Mash Tactics this week, trust me when I tell you to make sure it's this one. I have a feeling this evening is going to be something truly special. Tonight, I'll be rocking the amazing rhythm-game/rogue-like hybrid Crypt of the NecroDancer, which has yet to be released to the public, all while chatting with one of  the games lead designers, Ryan Clark. What's that you say, an awesome interview, and a crazy good, genre-bending game isn't enough to get you excited? Well fine, because there's more than just that to tonight's show.

In addition to what I think is an already awesome lineup, I'll be joined by the games composer, and all around entertaining bad-ass, Danny Baranowsky as well. Still not sold? Ok, I got this. How about if I said that during the interview, I wouldn't be playing the game on a controller, or on a keyboard, but on a DDR dance-pad? Gotcha yet? No? The winter can be a harsh time depending on where you live, and if you don't find something to keep yourself occupied, you might just go insane. One of my favorite winter pastimes used to be skiing, but as of late I can barely find the time to get out and hit the slopes anymore. In an effort to satiate my desire to cruise down snowy hills at lightspeed, I tend to pick up and play any game featuring a set of skis or a snowboard that I can. Needless to say, I'm very excited to check out the early access title SNOW this evening on Mash Tactics. 

I'll be sitting down with the team members from Poppermost Productions, and chatting about upcoming features, game mechanics, and more as we take a few runs down the mountain. While the game is still in very early stages of development at this point, and there isn't a lot to show off, what is there is pretty darn impressive. More so when you take into consideration the small development team, consisting of three people total. I'm just getting over a nasty head cold, so we're going to take things easy tonight, and jump into a few rounds of Talisman: Digital Edition. While I've never played this, or the board game that it is based on, the game has come highly recommended by a couple close friends of mine, so I'??m pretty confident that it wil??l be a good time. 

Speaking of friends, tonight, we're going to try and do what we can to help out a good friend of the live channel, Gregory Wilson, in his mission to get his graphic novel Icarus off the ground. With a great story, and awesome artwork by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles artist, Matt Slay, this book has a lot of potential, and deserves some attention. Come by the show tonight as Greg and I sit down and talk about the novel, the Kickstarter behind it, and the possibility of Icarus becoming a videogame somewhere down the line, all while kicking back and playing some Talisman.

What interests me the most is it's unique story about a band of criminals and misfits taking center stage as the main protagonists. It's like playing with lincoln logs.

So after exploring the empty backstage area of gaming to find something weird for you guys to watch, I found this gem of a game called Age of Time. I mean this is not the normal Lucha game by any means. It's pretty strange. I d?on't understand it one bit. But, it's like 32 Mg and I figured we could all play it like?? some dumb community thing get frustrated and be stupid.

This is basically some sort of MMO or Free Roaming Urban Exploration Simulator. I've been left without any pants and a stick. You can even self kill yourself?, and other players can pick up your body and take you to the nether world if they feel.

Overall, tonights show ??is gonna be strange, just like all of my shows. Some come one, come all, to the grandest show of them all?.

A few days ago, a certain game was free on Steam, and it was so popular that it caused servers to crash on and off for quite some time, that game, is Left 4 Dead 2. We'll be taking advantage of pretty much everyone on earth owning it at this point, by getting together with the community, and rocking a few rounds of undead slaying action tonight on Mash Tactics. 

While I'm not actually the biggest fan of the franchise, it's no doubt popular with a great amount of people, and it's a game that is commonly requested at our live channel. So this evening, I'll suck it up for the sake of Friday Night Fights, and we'll have some fun with it for a night. Don't expect any awesome skills out of me however, instead, I'd just count on watching me die over and over, getting bored, and eventually trolling the holy hell out of my team mates. After a short hiatus filled with family, food, and festivities, Mash Tactics is back in action this evening with it's usual daily dose of gaming shenaniganery. Now, while I got some sweet stuff for Christmas, nothing can compare to what the Twitch.TV community dropped on me over the past few days. Lately, I've been going through some really tough times financially, and these wonderful people took it upon themselves to basically clear my Steam wishlist. Just thinking about this staggering gesture of g?enerosity damn near makes me teary-eyed, and I can't ever possibly thank all the people involved enough for their support during rough times. 

Tonight, I'm going to bust out one of the games that I received, and have been absolutely dying to play, Papers, Please. I've never played this myself, and I'm still pretty unfamiliar with all of the games in's and out's, so if you want to come by and help me out, that would be much appreciated. All I've seen and heard about Papers, Please has been amazing, including the game winning a couple of best of 2013 awards right here at Destructoid, and I'm extremely stoked for tonight's show. When I was a child, I use to collect these small flesh colored rubber men. They were pretty odd, but they were all unique. They were called Muscle Men, and I had an army of them. Then my destructive self decided to let them meet their fate to an exercise bike wheel that acted like a grinder. The little figures melted on to the wheel as it spun. Today, we're gonna play Kinnikuman Muscle Grand Prix Max 2. I'll most likely get frustrated at not understanding foreign language, so we'll pop in Japan World Cup 3 for the rest of the show.

I know that'??s a strange way to start off a post, but it wa??sn't until I got older and found the internet that I realized the origin of those little rubber men. I realized in such disappointment that I was a dumb child because I could have really injured my hand, and I destroyed a little bit of wrestling history. So today, in tribute to those fallen figures, we're going to play this bizarre game. Are there any toys you guys broke or destroyed as a kid only to wish you still had them now as you're older and wiser?

Testing out the onboard streaming capabilities of the PS4

The weekend is almost upon us, so that can mean only one thing -- that's right, another round of community gaming shenanigans. This week, we'll be doing our part to promote Friday Night Fights over at Dtoid.TV by getting together, and playing the extremely fun and addictive free-to-play shooter, Warframe, for the PlayStation 4.

Now, while I absolutely adore Warframe, a lot of the reason for busting this game out tonight, is to test out the onboard streaming capabilities of the PS4. You see, Sony kind of slipped up, and forgot to remove its HDCP lock-out for games, so the only way I can broadcast anything through this machine (for now, Sony stated that it will remove the HDCP in a future patch) is by using the streaming software it came with. Join us for Mash Tactics tonight as we take our weekly trip into the past, showcasing the best and worst titles of days gone by. This evening's selection is not only one of the most gruesome (and silly) fighting games ever created, but is also one of my all-time favorites, Eternal Champions: Challenge from the Dark Side, for the Sega CD.

After playing a ton of the new Killer Instinct game recently, my brain has been going through a nostalgia trip remembering the insane amount of fighting games from the '90s. One that always sticks out however, is Eternal Champions: CD. I remember spending hours alongside buddies trying to find the near hundreds of ways to brutally decimate your opponent at the end of a match, and having notebooks full of combos, and set-ups that we'd all contribute to. Now, while the game hasn't exactly aged gracefully, it's still super fun, and as nasty as ever. I'm very mu?ch looking forward to jumping in again after not playing it for nearly a decade.

Oh WTF Wednesdays, how I love and loathe you so much. On one hand, we get to check out some of the most crazy and bizarre titles known to man, and on the other hand, we get to check out a lot of the most broken and crappy games out there. While I'm not entirely sure yet, I have a feeling that tonight's game may fall into the latter category as we dive into Man vs. Wild.

Yes, you heard correctly, this evening on Mash Tactics we'll be getting our B??ear Grylls on, in an attempt to, um, wel?l, I would assume survive, using just our wits, the environment and our own piss. I honestly have no idea what to expect here, but the back of the game case mentions fending off sharks, and sleeping in a hollowed out camel, so, at least there's that to look forward to.

Ladies and Gents, the Gentlemans Club is away this week so I decided to fill their empty seat. With the Steam Autumn?? Sale going down on the mean streets of t??he internet, I decided to throw my money at NBA 2K13 for one reason...to use the Space Jam Mod and do a show on it. That's right, Bugs, Daffy, Lola, Michael, and the crew are gonna wreck your streaming faces with mad 3 pointers and power slams in the paint.

We've got a tough challenge ahead of us against the Monstars. They are tall, they are mean, and they can ball. We've beaten these chumps before on?? Rad Show on the original PS1 Space Jam, therefore, I know we can take them down again. So come one, come all the grandest circus of them all, here's your ticket to the Rad Show.

This evening on Mash Tactics, we'll be ending off a short holiday week with a double dose of downloadable Xbox One launch titles. The first on the list is LocoCycle, a silly Spy Hunter inspired action/racing hybrid. While?? it might not be for everybody, I think it's good to shut your brain off for a minute sometimes, and just enjoy the ride to stupid town that a game like this delivers in spades. Plus, it has cameos from two of my favorite people, Tom Savini, and James Gunn. Sweetness!

The second game on the list is Crimson Dragon, a spiritual successor to the Panzer Dragoon franchise. Now I don't know about you, but I kind of have some love for on-rail shooters if done right, and Panzer Dragoon was one of my all time favorites. I've had the chance to play just a few hours Crimson Dragon so far, and have already been hooked by it's gameplay and mechanics. It's honestly a lot? deeper and more add??ictive than you might have expected.

My all-time favorite game is finally back

I don't know if you've ever heard me gush about it, but I absolutely love the Killer Instinct franchise. Like, REALLY love it. I've played over a couple thousand hours of the original alongside friends, and even own an original Killer Instinct arcade cabinet. So I'm sure you could imagine how excited I am about the release of a new entry being released for the Xbox One. Be sure to come by Mash Tactics tonight, and share my excitement, as we dig in, and put the?? new game through it's paces.

Mmmm, that sweet new console smell

After what personally felt like an eternity, the next generation of consoles is finally here, and I couldn't possibly be more excited to jump in. Don't get me wrong, I love my PS3 and Xbox 360, and they'll be missed, but at this point I'm more than ready to move on, and tonight move on I shall. Be sure to join us for special Mash Tactics, as I rush home as fast as I can from a ?midnight release, hook up the Xbox One, update? it, update it again, and then put it through its paces. 

The plan is to grab a couple brews, kick back, and jump into the next generation with a few close friends. Potential launch-day disasters aside, it's bound to be an entertaining evening, and something I've been looking forward to for quite a while. We'll be showcasing a variety of games including Dead Rising 3, Killer Instinct, Need For Speed: Rivals, LocoCycle, and Crimson Dragon. A somewhat educational take on smut and violence

I absolutely loved the original The House of The Dead: Overkill, in fact, this vulgar and vile little game ended up becoming one of my all-time favorites. So, when I recently heard that there was a new version of Overkill using the classic Typing of The Dead formula, I just knew this was something that I would have to share with our viewers on an eventual episode of Mash Tactics.

Witness as I fumble along through the game this evening using my awkwardly slow two-finger typing style, and as my lack of keyboard coordination gets showcased in front of a live audience. The good news for me however, is that The Typing of The Dead: Overkill also comes with a port of the original game that I can easily switch over to,?? perchance I do become a bit too frustrated with my typing ineptitude. In fact, you can pretty much count on that happening at some point.

A community killtacular

Try to imagine a group of ninjas, spartans, vikings, pirates, samurais, and knights, running around like madmen, yelling nonsensical jibber-jabber at the top of their lungs, all the while trying to brutally dismember one another. Did you imagine it? Good, now you have an idea of what's about to go down on Mash Tactics tonight, as I invite the community to a few rounds of the always hilarious, always bloody, and always obnoxiously loud, Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior.

A couple of weeks ago we dove in and tried out the beta for this game, and?? it instantaneously became a fan favorite. I mean, what's not to love about chopping up your opponent, and kicking their body parts all over the map before running off screaming like a crazed banshee? If you missed out on all the insanely entertaining madness the first time around, fret not, as the game is now fully released on Steam, and we'll be returning to the battle this evening. Get there and get in!

Don't you dare touch the Referee

For those of you who don't know, I love to break games. As a hobby I like to push the boundaries of games and do the unthinkable. Be it Dark Souls where I have 9093093039039024241 hit points or make 15 foot tall basketball players. Well, after playing around with WWE 2K14, I've unlocked some NPC's as characters. Technically, you're not suppose to play with ring announcer Howard Finkel,?? but by hell we're gonna play with him.

We're going to go online, and have some fun. We might possibly send some wrestlers to the "negative zone" or maybe have Miss Elizabeth win a Hell in a Cell against some superstars. Even Paul Bearer might leap from the top rope. If you want to see something stupid or just plain broken, then you've come to the right place. Sit down and watch the circus because I always deliver the best entertai?nment for your viewing pleasure.

Honestly, I can't remember a game that had actual cheat codes this day and age. I personally wish all these ??new consoles had GameShark or GameGenies because it would make my job easier. What are some of the games you guys use to mess around with or used G??ame Genie/Shark on?

At first glance, Gas Guzzlers Extreme may look like just another generic racing game, but don't let that first glance fool you. Underneath a somewhat bland-looking exterior lies an extremely fun and addictive combat racing game. With a ton of game modes, exciting multiplayer, some sweet customization, and a silly sense of humor, this game is definitely worth a look. If you enjoyed games like Mario Kart, Twisted Metal, or even Vigilante 8, you may just fall in love with this.
