Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is now available on PC, and fans have begun to create some awesome mods for it. One of them includes of a couple of Kingdom Hearts mods that have impresse?d many on social media, and fans are all over it.

Mickey can use the Kingdom Key D with Epic Mickey: Rebrushed Kingdom Hearts mod

On Tuesday earlier this week, an X user shared a screenshot of Mickey using his canon keyblade Kingdom Key D in Epic Mickey: Rebrushed. The picture has? since grown to over 2,300 likes on the p?latform.

The golden tint of the blade shows during the ending of Kingdom Hearts, in which the beloved rodent helps lock a huge door with Sora. He then appears with the weapon more often in later entries, making its appearance in Epic Mickey: Rebrushed a fun addition for fans.

There are a few current issues with the mod, however. At the time of writing, there's no custom material and it replaces the model and textures, there isn't a keychain, and the paint trail doesn't splash out of the tip of the keyblade—but further updates, should they come, may present a solution to them. Despite You can download the Kingdom Ket D mod from Nexusmods and follow the instructions ther??e to join in on the fun.

In addition to the Kingdom Key D, the developer also added the Star Seeker keyblade on Wednesday, which is the version that Mickey uses in the PSP game Birth By Sleep. Prominent Kingdom Hearts YouTuber TheGamersJoint, in response, noted that he hopes to see the Kingdom Hearts model inside the game.

If you want to keep things vanilla, the base game also has some bonus costumes inspired by classic cartoons like Steamboat Willie, which was the p?recursor to Mickey as we know him today.

THQ Nordic?? Showcase 2024 just wrapped, with the company revealing two brand new titles and showcasing first-ever gameplay for several upcoming games. Overall all five titles displayed in the Showcase are looking great, and I'm looking forward to j??umping into each of them. Let's dive in to everything shown at the THQ Nordic Showcase 2024.

Wreckfest 2

THQ Nordic kicked things off by announcing Wreckfest 2, the sequel to the 2018 destructive Racing Sim. The first thing to notice here is how upgraded the visuals are. Not that the original Wreckfest was ugly or anything, but Wreckfest 2 looks stunning. In classic Wreckfest fashion, it appears players will once again take on the role of a Destruction Derby racer and build up their arsenal of vehicles to engage in some good ole wrecking action on the track. According to THQ Nordic, players will be able to fully customize their vehicles in the sequel, giving players to build ??up and decorate their vehicles exactly how they want.

No release timeframe was given, but Wreckfest 2 will release on PC, Pl??ayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The Eternal Life of Goldman

The Eternal Life of Goldman is a stylized hand-drawn platformer where the player steps into the role of Goldman, an old explorer who gets around pretty well and uses his cane as a weapon. I'm normally not a fan of these sorts of games personally, but the beautiful hand-drawn art and setting of The Eternal Life of Goldman have my attention. Also, the end of the trailer hints at some more sinister workings going on in the world of Goldman, so it seems as though his ??journey will be a wild one.

Disney Epic Mickey Rebrushed

The remake of Disney Epic Mickey Rebrushed is almost ??????????????????????????here, and THQ Nordic?? showcased the upgraded 3D platformer halfway through the show. The remake of the nearly 14-year-old 3D platformer looks great, once again giving players the ability to take Mickey on an epic journey while rescuing signature Disney characters while wielding a magical paintbrush used to create and alter the world around you.

Titan Quest 2

As a huge ARPG fan, I have a confession to make. While most ARPG gamers' favorite early memories in the genre revolve around Diablo, mine actually revolve around Titan Quest. The Ancient Greece setting was simply much more appealing to me when I was younger, and the actual gameplay and build variety with Titan Quest felt way ahead of its time back in 2006.

In the first gameplay reveal for Titan Quest 2, THQ Nordic showed off the ARPG's high-fidelity graphics i??n the beautifully mythological rendition of Ancient Greece on??ce again. Throughout the trailer, we see a handful of spells and abilities, unique weapons, and a glimpse at some of the mythical monsters we'll do battle with.

No release timeframe was given for Titan Quest 2, but the game looks great so hopefully, we will hear more about that soon. Titan Quest 2 will release on PC, PlayStation 5,? and Xbox Series X|S.

Gothic 1 Remake

The THQ Nordic Showcase 2024 concluded with another first-look gameplay of Gothic 1 Remake, and boy I can't wait. Look, I'll admit it, I never got to play the original. But this showing of the remake has me honestly debating whether I want to jump into the original or wait for the remake. Visually, the open world of Gothic 1 Remake looks incredible, as does the combat.

Perhaps the most intriguing feature of Gothic 1 Remake, which is highlighted throughout the trailer , is the simulated living world. The developer's goal was to make an? immersive and realistic living world, allowing players to live out their life how they want in this fantasy world, while the other characters around them do as well.

Gothic 1 Remake does not yet have a release date, but will release o??n PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

A remake of 2010's Epic Mickey was one of the bigger surprises of the February Nintendo Direct, though it was only announced with a vague 2024 release window. Earlier today, though, publisher THQ not only confirmed an exact release date of September 24 for Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, but also a few neat looking DLC costumes.

The original Epic Mickey never had alternate outfits, so these costumes are entirely new for the remake. What's more, each one is based on a classic Mickey Mouse short. You obviously have the iconic Steamboat Willie outfit from Mickey's debut short as well as the Brave Little Tailor outfit from the 1938 short of the same name. I don't recognize the third one, which is only called the Football outfit, but I'm assuming it comes from 1932's Touchdown Mickey since it features t??he m?ouse playing a game of American football against a gang of cats.

Regardless, aficionados of classic Disney should appreciate these throwback outfits. Plus, while they are bundled with pre-orders for Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, they're not an exclusive bonus. You do have the option to buy them as a separate bundle for only $4.99/£3.99. The only pre-order incentive THQ is offering is 24 hours of early access for the console versions, so you can start playing it on September 23 inste?ad. Unsurprisingly, there's a fancy collector's edition available too that comes with a special box, a statue of Mickey wielding his magic paintbrush, and an Oswald the Lucky Rabbit keychain.

Aside from the aforementioned costumes, THQ hasn't mentioned if there'll be any other brand-new content for the remake. Mickey will have some new movement abilities, such as a dash and a ground pound,? and the remake promises to have improved controls and updated visuals. But it sounds like it'll otherwise be identical to the original game, which may be a tad disappointing for some.

Pre-orders are currently available for $59.99/£49.99 and, unlike the original Epic Mickey, this remake isn't a Nintendo exclusive this time. Aside from Nintendo Switch, it's also available on ?PC, Play?Station 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

As part of the Nintendo Partner Direct today, THQ Nordic announced that 2010’s Epic Mickey is getting remade in Disney’s Epic Mickey Rebrushed.

Alongside the announcement is a trailer that shows off the upgrades. The game was original released on the Wii. To be fair, it was a pretty good looking Wii titl??e, but the extra layer of shininess is noticeable. Starkly, the trailer opens by showing glimpses of the game’s opening (the one in the Nintendo Direct actually shows gameplay). If you’re familiar with the original, it’s very easy to see how things have improved.

Epic Mickey was re??asonably well received at launch. It involves Mickey going into a dark, painted world to face off against Oswa??ld the Lucky Rabbit, a character he upstaged back in the golden age of animation.

Can we workshop the title, though? No one says “Rebrushed.�It doesn’t work as a play on wo??rds.

Switch is the only platform announced for Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, but it’s set to release sometime in 2024.
