Good Smile Company has added another iconic video game character to its classy Figma figurine range �This time, it's the turn of the charming if unnerving overseer of The Nexus, Demon's Souls' esteemed and much-loved overseer: ?The Maiden in B?lack.

The sweet demon stands a little over six inches in height, and ??is sporting the trademark poseability that is a key feature of all Figma models. This allows the Maiden in Black to be posed in a variety of demure and evocative stances, bringing a sense of morose disquiet to anybody's bookshelf or work desk. The maiden comes packaged with a selection of alternate hands, as well as her huge, path-lighting torch. Three variants of her skirt are included, in order to facilitate both sitting and standing poses.

A rarity for the Figma format,? Good Smile Co. has released a video of our girl, perhaps aware of the maiden's mammoth fan base and the likelihood that she will be one of the more popular Figmas.

The Maiden retails for ¥12,800 (or roughly $93 USD) not including shipping or any potential custom charges. Unfortunately, it wi?ll take her a long time to make her way from The Nexus to your house, as global shipping is not expected until January 2024. The merchandise-makers over at Good Smile Co. have opened up pre-orders on a fresh run of Figmas based upon popular protagonists from Atlus' beloved RPG franchise, Persona. The three Persona Figma have all been previously available, (and eve?n rereleased before), but Good Smile is offering newer fans the opportunity to pick up the deleted stars once again.

The three protagonists �all hoping to make the leap to a bookshelf near you �are Persona 3's Makoto Yuki, Persona 4's Yu Narukami and, of course, Persona 5's "Joker", Ren Amamiya. Standing roughly six inches in height, all three characters come complete with stand, alternate hands, and a variety of bespoke accessories. Makoto, Yu, and Ren all feature Figma's trademark poseability function, allowing the superstars to be fixed int??o all manner of super-cool and dynamic stances.

Each of the Persona Figma wonder b?oys will retail for ¥7,000, (or roughly $70 USD), not including shipping or any applicable customs charges. Pre-orders are live on the official Good Smile Co. website now and will close on November 11. There's still something of a wait ahead, however, as the rereleases are not expected to hit western shores until fall 2022.

The Old Hunters star stands around 6.5 inches tall and arrives bedecked in her somber, regal hunting garb. Lady Maria is accompanied by her trademark blades �Rakuyo and Evelyn �as well as her blunderbuss sidearm and a selection of alternate scabbards and hands. The collectible features Figma's trademark poseability function, allowing fans to recreate any number of dynamic and engaging action shots. Those who prefer Lady Maria in her more poised stature can replicate The Old Hunters' promo art �tha??nks to the packaged throne and a set of alternate legs.

Posing Pricey Pop Princesses

When I was younger, ?I wasted so much money on merch and memorabilia. I used to go to comic and film fairs quarterly, with pockets full of hard-earned income, then traipse home loaded down with plastic junk I absolutely did not need and ultimately failed to validate my life. Since those heady, carefree days, I rarely purchase figures, models, and statues with the same reckless abandon...

...Then Good Smile revealed their Splatoon 2 Pearl & Marina Figmas and ruined everything.

Originally teased back in July, the Off the Hook duo will soon join Good Smile's huge range of colorful, nicely detailed, and highly poseable figurines - all of whom are based on a catalogue of heroes and villains from video game franchises such as Overwatch, Persona, Metroid, Silent Hill, Sword Art Online, and Fire Emblem, among others.

Pearl stands roughly 3.5 inches in height, while her Octoling pal Marina is a little taller at just under four inc??hes. As with previous Figma releases, Pearl & Marina come packaged with alternate faceplates and hands, as well as an accessory pack featuring a microphone, Pearl's trusty chair, and Marina's DJ decks for when she's spinning the platters that matter.

Figmas retail for premium prices at the best of times, but as Off the Hook are sold as a double-pack, the rap-rock duo will be retailing for an expensive $147 USD. Had I known this, I wouldn't have pre-ordered a PS5, as I'm preeeetty confident that this is a better investment. Then again, I'm also on a helluva lot of medication today. Tomorrow, I expect cooler heads will prevail, and I will ultimately stick with the duo's equally fun, (and miles chea??per), amiibo equivalents.

If, like me, you miss the antics of Splatoon 2's Hostesses with the Most..esses, Pear??l and Marina, then your spirits might be lifted by this image of their incoming Figmas, which are currently in the works at fine merch manufacturers GoodSmile.

While both Marina and her better compan?ion Pearl are presented here unfinished and unpainted form, we can already see that the Off the Hook duo will feature the expert sculpture and precision articulation of which the Figma range is renown. The Splatfest hosts will no doubt look absolutely fabulous in their final forms. Unfortunately, there is still no release date announced for the rap-rock duo, pre-orders are expected to go live later in 2020, so we'll be sure to keep you informed.

In the meantime, Splatoon 2 is available now on Nintendo Switch. While the colourful arena shooter has certainly entered its twilight years, it retains its passionate and welcoming community. There's still time to jump on board and paint the town red, green, and purple, wh??ile we wait eagerly for news of a sequel.

Fans of Fire Emblem: Three Houses will be pleased to hear that merch-maker Good Smile Co. has revealed the first in what is likely a run of Figmas featuring ?the characte?rs of Nintendo's schoolyard rumble. First up is the leader of The Black Eagles herself, the steadfast Edelgard von Hresvelg.

The axe-wielding Princess of the Adrestian Empire will be immortalised in the classic Figma format, standing a little under six inches in height and equipped with th?e brand's trademark articulation, which allows for wide variety of proud and dramatic poses. Dressed to the nines in her beautiful and regal uniform, Edelgard will include two choices of faceplate, along with her Killer Axe and Aymr weapons.

It's been a pretty neat day for Persona fans. First we had day one of the great Persona Super Live P-Sound Street 2019: Welcome to No. Q Theater! concert, which was then followed by further info on the upcoming Persona 5 The Royal release, heading to PS4 in Japan later this year and worldwide in 2020.

But if that wasn't enough, now we have a string of ultra-cute photos of the next Phantom Thief to be immortalised in Figma form. Futaba Sakura - also known by her Phantom Thief pseudonym Oracle - is now available to pre-order over at the Good Smile website. The cheeky brainiac stands a dinky 5.3 inches high and features Figma's trademark articulation, so you can stand her in all sorts of dyn??amic poses.

Rocking her casual out-and-about gear, Futaba also comes with her trusty smartphone, as well as a series of alternate hands, her creepy giant doll head mask, a??nd a selection of alternate faceplates. Despite her impressive design, Overwatch's air commander Pharah has been yet to feel much lovewhen it comes to figures and other merchandise. Fortunately, that's all set to change next year, as Good Smile Co. has opened pre-orders on a Figma of?? the ??duty-bound hero.

Standing 155mm in height, Pharah is featured proudly in her sturdy battle armour, complete with clear mount and the trademark Figma flexibility, allowing you to display Fare?eha in all sorts of dynamic "mid-air" poses. Also included are her trusty rocket launcher, swappable heads, and interchangeable shoulder parts, allowing her to unleash the fu??ry of her Barrage Ult (mere seconds before she gets shot down, naturally).

A staple of childhood gaming in plastic form

For me, and many other older video game player??s, there ??are some enemies and bosses that are well-knit into the fabric of gaming memories. Creatures and characters that you saw persistently in magazine screenshots and print ads, repeatedly used to market and advertise games vying for your pocket money.

One such visual image is the first level boss of Irem's legendary shmup R-Type. Dobkeratops, the suspiciously Giger-looking creature with the long-tail and dislodged eyeballs is embedded in my psyche as a callback to my youth, and is one of the?? most instantly recognisable, and nostalgic, villains of late '80/early '90s arcades.

Now, rightly so, it is to be immortalised into a super-cool Figma from toy manufacturers Good Smile Co. Spotted by Aminews at last week's Wonder Toy festival, a great looking prototype of the Bydo Empire lieutenant was on display among Good Smile's other upcoming releases. Dobkeratops appears to have been meticulously recreated, even including the aforeme??ntioned eyeballs, and a nifty clear R-9 unit, no?? doubt charging up a power shot to bring down the monster.

There are currently no details regarding release date or price, but I'll definitely be picking the dude up when it hits the Good Smile store at some point in the future. R-Type fans can meanwhile look forward to the release of R-Type Dimensions EX, for PC and Nintendo Switch, on November 28.

The figure-fans of Good Smile Co. have unveiled pictures of the next release in their Overwatch Figma range. Next to bless us with their poseable pr?esence is powerful healer - and one of the few characters yet to be rede??signed as DPS - Zenyatta.

The tranquil Omnic stands a typical 150mm in height and contains all of the dynamic flexibility typified by the Figma design. Due to his robotic nature, the multiple joints on this partic?ular Figma blend in very well with the design and are mostly seamless.

Of course, Zenyatta also comes with multiple accessories and alternate hands. These include a peace symbol, a ring of harmonic orbs, an orb of harmony and discord (which ?can be attached to other Figmas), as well as dioramas plates to rec??reate the appearance of his Transcendence ult.

If you're interested in picking up the healer for your home, then pre-orders are open now on the Good Smile Co. website and the Blizzard Gear store. ??Zenyatta is expected to price a??round $75-80USD, not including shipping charges, and should be releasing in Q3 of 2019.

You're a Figma now...

Toy purveyors Good Smile Co. have opened pre-orders on Max Factory's latest Figma, based on marketing superstar Inkling Girl of Nintendo's online shooter series Splatoon 2.

Inkling girl is available in both standard and DX format. The former features the mischievous cutie-pie rocking her original Splatoon look. Standard Inkling Girl comes with a selection of accessories, including ??a set of stylish headphones, an ink tank, a mini squid figurine, and a Splattershot. Thanks to Figma's trademark articulation, she can be arranged into all sorts of dynamic poses.

The DX edition includes all of the above plus a second figurine, based on Inkling Girl's appearance in Splatoon 2. This set also includes variants in headgear and weaponry, such as a baseball cap, knitted hat, Dualies, a Burst Bomb and an Ink Roller. There's some pretty nifty dioramas you co?uld build between the two characters, with a bit of creative thinking.

The Inkling Girl Figma is available for pre-o??rder from now until November 13, with an expected sh??ipping date of May 2019. The standard figure costs ¥5,800 (about $52) whereas the DX set costs ¥12,800 (or about $110) not including shipping or any customs charges.

It's been a pretty big week for Overwatch's mech-ridin' babe, Hana Song, more commonly known by her call-sign, D.Va. First she gets her own cool animated short, then a new map set in her home city of Busan, South Korea. Now, courtesy of Good S?mile Co. she has her own Figma!

Revealed at an Overwatch event taking place in South Korea, Good Smile unveiled the cute figurine, which will be made available for p??re-order next week. D.Va comes with a selection of fun accessories, including her mechanic cap and Meka-Cola? can from the animated short. Also included are her trusty blaster and a selection of faceplates, as well as Figma's trademark articulation, so Hana can bust out her most Twitch-pleasing poses.

The D.Va Figma will be available to pre-order from the Good Smile website from August 29. Typically, previous Figmas have run around the $70 dollar mark, making D.Va a little more affordable here than she is in her monster $450 statue form. There's Dr. Gothboots, Cavalier McBighat, and the others

This weekend saw a plethora of images and announcements regarding expensive plastic headed toward the home of Persona 5 fans. Throu?gh Wonder Fest?ival 2018, held in Chiba, Japan, we got to see various characters from Atlus' popular RPG immortalised in figure form.

There were declarations of intent to produce Figmas for Ryuji and Haru, as well as prototype models for Yusuke, Makoto and her trusty steed, Johanna. Kotobukiya announced figurines of Joker and Morgana in their Dancing Night forms, While Nendoroid lovers got to check out the prototypes for ?Makoto and ??Joker, as well as a concept image for Yusuke.

One of the coolest announcements came from Amakuni, who revealed the prototype of their figurine based on everyone's favourite, incredibly dangerous, no-shits-given-about-the-hippopotamus-oath doctor, Tae Takemi, posed in her classic "Gimme money for meds, punk" style. Amakuni will also be releasing figures in the future of Haru in Noir form, and Makoto in her punky Dancing Night gear. Phew.

And that's not all ACKS got in on the ACKStion by revealing prototypes of Joker's original persona, Arsene, as well as a neat figure based on Persona 3's Aigis. You can check out a gallery of images below, then sit back and ??think about h??ow much all this tat is gonna cost. There's little I wouldn't do for the Queen. That's love, pal.

There isn't enough cash to world to purchase all this plastic

Yesterday, we reported on a new Nendoroid of Persona 5's hacker Futaba Sakura. Because, apparently, we have an inexhaustible supply of cash, Good Smile Co. and Max Factory have also revealed new Figma and Nendoroids for The Phantom Thieves actual Best Girl, Makoto Niijima.

Announced this weekend at China's CCG Expo 2018, Both Makoto and Futaba will be getting finely crafted Figma releases, typified by the??ir intricate detail and a?rticulation. The two gals will join protagonist Joker and the fun-loving Ann Takamaki, who have already had Figma releases in the past.

If that isn't enough, Makoto will also be receiving a Nendoroid, featuring the high school prez in her uber-cool "Queen" getup. Finally, a "Transformation" figure is planned for Makoto's trusty ride, Johanna, which can be morphed into her guardian Persona, Anat. That's a lot of rad merch en route for Her Highness.

There are currently no prototype images, dates or prices for any of the above releases, so the wait for them to arrive on a mantelpiece near you could be quite a long one. But you're prob??ably quite tired after reading all of this exciting news, and should probably go to bed.

Max Factory, creators of the gorgeous Figma range of poseable models, have revealed the prototype of their upcoming Inkling Girl DX. The Splatoon star turned up this weekend, in Japan, at the?? One Hobby Gallery SPRING 2018 event.

Although the standard edition of Inkling Girl was showcased a couple of months back, the prototype on display here is the DX edition, which will include interchangeable accessories, allowing you to adapt the ink-squirting lass into her Splatoon 2 form and back again, as the mood takes you.

Both versions of the final release will have Figma's trademark intricate articulation, allowing for all sorts of action-packed, dynamic poses. There is still currently no date or price for the ink-shooting cutie-pie, but no doubt she will be made available over at the Good Smile store whenever she's finally ready for action.

Japanese toy manufacturer Good Smile Co. have opened pre-orders today on the latest Figma in their Persona range, and it's the instantly recognisable Pixie, star of multiple games in the SMT series' long-running history.

The figure stands around 6.5 inches tall and?, as expected, comes with multiple articul?ation points and a clear stand, allowing for all manner of gravity-defying poses. Pixie comes with interchangeable hands and face-plates, and features beautiful iridescent-coloured wings.

Pre-orders for this Figma are open until March 29, with a price tag of ¥5,300 (around $50) not including shipping or any customs ch??arges that may be lurking at your loca??l mail depot. Pixie is scheduled to ship around August of this year.

One shot. One Kill. Multiple points of articulation

The people of Japanese toy manufacturer Good Smile Company have announced that Overwatch's sul?try, deadly sniper Widowmaker is next in line to r??eceive the Figma treatment.

A selection of stills shows the incomparable assassin in a range of stylistic poses. Widowmaker a??ppears to feature the high quality sculpture the range is known for, as well as the typical Figma articulation, allowing the character?, who stands roughly 6.5 inches in height, to be posed in all manner of dramatic action shots.

Widowmaker comes with her trademark "Widow's Kiss" rifle, which can be adapted to sniper or full-auto mode. Also included are her grappling gauntlet and visor. The Figma even has an alternate faceplate with one eye closed, to make sure her aim never misses her mark. What a fucking great looking figure.

Pre-orders open on Februray 27 until April 12 at the official Good Smile website. Widowmaker is expected to cost a little over ¥7,200 (or $67) and won't be shipping until this December. The next Overwatch-themed Figma to ship is Genji, who is scheduled for release in May.

Putting the 'Art' into 'Articulated'

Those purveyors of finely-crafted, highly-poseable models, Good Smile, are to release a new Figma of "Inkling ??Girl", poster character from Nintendo's arena-shooter series Splatoon. The colourful toy was revealed at the weekend's WonderFest 2018 event.

The Figma features the orange-headed cutie-pie ready for action, armed with little more than a ink blaster and comically oversized sneakers. As is the standard for c?haracters in the Figma range, Inkling Girl will feature ?multiple points of articulation, allowing for a variety of dynamic poses.

Inkling Girl will be released in both a standard format and a deluxe edition. The latter will include interchangeable parts to allow her to be adapted into her Splatoon 2 form. Neato. No release window has been? announced by the manufacturers thus far.

This weekend, Good Smile Company revealed the latest Figma in their Pokemon range. Next in line is trainer Selene, star of the upcoming Pokemon Ultra Sun & Moon games, releasing on 3DS next month.

??The super-cute figurine comes with an alternate face plate, a selection of hand??s, a funky shoulder bag, Poke ball and, most importantly, the game's starting Pokemon; Rowlet, Popplio and Litten. Everything a gal needs to bust out her best Z-moves on your bookshelf.

Scheduled for release in May 2018, Selene is available for pre-order now at Pokemon Center, priced at $60. Pre-orders close November 29.

Good Smile Company have released images of the next Overwatch char??????????????????????????acter to get the Figma treatment, and it's the cyber-ninja that can be the golden boy, or bring complete disaster to your ??random play, Genji.

Genji's Figma stands just under seven inches in height and comes with all the precise articulation one can expect from the Figma range. The wall-climbing assassin can b?e posed in a whole variety of dramatic (and comical) ways, ready to call for healing from behind-enemy-lines or on the highest point of the map, wherever's more difficult for you to reach.

Genji is second in the Overwatch Figma series joining series' poster gal Tracer. Genji is scheduled for release in June 2018. I'm not a big fan on the shuriken-chucking dude, but I think his look is perfect for the Figma style.

You'll never see it coming!

Hot off the heels of the Nendoroid for the annoying Morgana comes a figma of Joker, the cool protagonist of Persona 5. The fearless leader is the first character from Persona 5 to be converted?? to figma form, and he's here to steal your shelf space along with your heart.

However, the limitati?ons of the included Morgana accessory prevent the figma from achieving greatness.

The Phantom Thief will be arriving with three face plates, which include an expressionless face, a smiling face, and a grinning face. He'll come with an alternate hair part in order to show off his mask, much like the figma for Lucina from Fire Emblem. He'll also be armed with a knife and a gun, able to recr??eate the awesome hold up prompts??.

Joker has a Morgana accessory, however the cat burglar comes in the pose from the promotional art. This means that Morgana can seem out of place depending on how you choose to pose Joker. To make matters worse, the pre-order bonus for Joker is a faceplate for Morgana, rather than something cool like a menu prompt, different items and weapons, another Morgana in a different pose, or additional faces for Joker. Hopefully future figma releases for Persona 5, such as Ann, include more variants of Morgana to help? him fit in more.

Joker will retail for $61.99 USD and is expected to release in January 2018. Pre-orders for the figma will end on August 24, and can be found on Good Smile's website here. Now the question ??is, when will Ann's figma release?

Just ahead of the avalanche of E3 news, Japan's Pokémon Center has revealed that Red from Pokémon will be receiving the figma treatment.

Currently there is not a lot of information about what the figma comes with in terms of hands, faces, and accessories. However, the reveal does list that Red will be coming with the three starter Pokémon from the first generation of games: Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Pikachu will also be available as an accessory, but only for those who pre-orde??r.

Pre-orders go live for Good Smile Company on June 13, while Pokémon Center will have them live on June 17. Now that being said, I am not OK with this unless it leads to?? a figma for Blue which comes with an accessory that's just a full badge? case so I can pose him being a showoff. It just wouldn't feel right otherwise.

Hot off the heels of her recent Nendoroid debut, Good Smile Company has revealed that Tracer from Overwatch will be receiving a figma as well. Not only that, but the figma is up for pre-order on their site as of this moment, along with Blizzard's own site.

The Tracer figma will be very similar to the Nendoroid in terms of accessories. It will come with her Pulse Pistols, as well as the Pulse Bomb used for her ?ultimate. However, while it will have multiple face plates, they differ, and the figma lacks the hair pieces needed to recreate the play-of-the-game pose that the Nendoroid can. Luckily, there are no pre-order-only bonus parts, meaning you can wait to grab Tracer down the road.

Right now Tracer is listed as a standard number, so she should be available to purchase through third-party retailers once she releases. That being said, unlike the recent Ulala figmas, pre-order??????????????????????????ing Tracer through Good Smile comes with several differences. She cannot be combined with any other product, however she?? will have a discounted shipping rate of 1,000 Japanese Yen, roughly $9.09 USD for American customers instead of the usual 1,500 Yen, which is roughly $13.64 USD.

Tracer will be up for pre-order until July 27. Hopefully, much like with the Nendoroids, this means more figmas based on Overwatch characters are on the way soon.

That exciting orange though

Just when you thought your figure collection couldn't get any funkier, Good Smile Company comes to prove you wrong. The company announced this week that Ulala, the funky reporter from the Sega classic Space Channel 5, would receive not one, but two figmas.

The two figmas depict Ulala in her outfit from each game, and both will come with the same microphone?? and gun accessories. However, each Ulala will also include three uniquely colored Morolians, allowing owners to depict moments from the original game.

Both figmas will retail for 7,222 yen, which is certainly on the pricier side when compared to the figma of Link from A Link Between Worlds, and pre-orders will be open until June 29. It's important to note that the Exciting Orange version of Ulala is designated with an EX number, meaning it's a limited edition like the DX version of the previously mentioned Link figma or Roger Smith from The Big O. Once it's gone, that's it.

Speaking of Space Channel 5, friendly reminder that currently the series has a VR experience in development. Perhaps we may get lucky and also receive a new game in the future as well? Sega does plan to revive some of its major IPs in the near future.
