The Electric Trilogy challenge in Hitman World of Assassination is one you must complete on the Haven ?Island location, and it requires you to electrify all three main targets to death. This is no easy feat unless you know exactly what you're doing.

Haven Island is a dense location in Hitman World of Assassination. It's got three main targets to kill and several core areas that they'll move through. You can even kite one of the targets across the entire map if you want. But we won't be doing any of that to tackle the Electric Trilogy challenge. Instead, we're going to make every target come to us so we can take them all out simultaneously. It feels appropriate that this challenge was added with The Drop DLC pack for the game because it's just as ??complex in theory but relatively simple in practice as that Elusive Target mission.

How to complete the Electric Trilogy challenge in Hitman World of Assassination

Below, I've outlined the best path for completing the Electric Trilogy challenge in Hitman World of Assassination. Use the Resort Pier starting location and bring a silenced pistol and a coin, at the ver?y least. It would pay to bring an Emetic Poison Vial with you, but you can pick up a substitute later if you don't have one.

Step 1: Grab a disguise

The first thing you ne?ed to do is head along the pier and to the left from your starting location. Keep going until the pier leads onto the beach. You can pick up an Emetic Flower at the location shown in the map reference above. Note that you don't need this if you've brought an Emetic Poison Vial.

Keep running along the left-hand side of t?he island until you reach the villa. This location is shown in the map reference above. There's a camera above the main doorway that's worth shooting out. However, you can climb over the wall if you follow the left-hand wall up the island until you spot the gap at the top.

Vault over the wa??ll and duck into the grass. This is where you need to use your coin to lure a guard down to you, subdue him, and take his disguise. If you've unlocked the lab hatch here, take that downstairs. Otherwise, you'll need another route.

Step 2: Get into the lab

Next, make your way to the location shown on the map reference above. The entrance to the lab is next to the bar on the beach, undernea??th the stairca??se to the villa. You've got to wait for a lab tech to exit the lab, get a drink, and then follow him through the door when he heads back inside.

You'll have no trouble sneaking into the lab if you're wearing the guard disguise. From there?, head downstairs and into the glass room above the servers. This is where things start to get tricky.

Step 3: The setup

Head left out of the glass room, careful to avoid the camera, and up onto the walkway. You can shoot th??e camera behind you out as well as the one looking over the servers. Your main target is actually a plug in the central podium on the lower floor. You can see it in the image above as the tiny yellow item on the left, out of the three yellow icons in the middle o??f the room.

Shoot the plug and take the time to ensure it's broken. This will save you precious time late?r on. Now, you need to get back into the glass room you entered when you first came down here.

The ventilation system is on the right-hand side of this room, but one of the lab techs will stand close to it, shredding paper without moving unless you make him. To do t??his, flick a coin onto the same raised floor as him but close to the steps l?eading up to it.

This will distract the tech, at which? point you must get up to the ventilation system and use your Emetic Poison, whichever you've brought, to poison the entire system. After a few seconds, everyone in the server room will get sick and begin to leave.

No?w you can turn off the ventilation system to clear the gas. Run down into the server room and pull out all four servers from the stacks around it. These are pretty obvious, but you'll need to be fast because lab techs will come down to investigate the distractions. You need to pull all four at once to trigger the alert and draw in your targets.

Step 4: Wait for the kill

Once you've pulled all four servers and triggered the alert, your targets will make their way down to the central podium. If a camera has caught you, it's worth headin??g there first to sabotage the data, but it's not essential.

From here, head back up to the walkway where you ??shot the plug. Either side will do. You've got to wait for all three targets to be on the podium. Then, shoot the water cooler next to them. This pours water all over the floor and onto the plug, electrocuting all three and completing the Electric Trilogy challenge.

Exit the mission however you want. My preference is the plane on the beach because you can access it via the ladder just off of this walkway. For completing this challenge, you'll unlock the ICA Proximity Micro Taser, which is an incredibly useful tool for future kills in Hitman World of Assassination.

The Base is an Elusive Target Arcade mission in Hitman World of Assassination. It takes everything from The Drop Elusive Target and amps it up to create a more challenging experience for you to?? enjoy. However, getting a Silent Assassin rating is incredibly difficult.

You'll need to complete two separate versions of The Drop Elusive Target in The Base Elusive Target Arcade mission in Hitman World of Assassination. The second has additional stipulations that make it more challenging, but you can increase the difficulty even more by going for a Silent Assassin rating. I've outlined the perfect routes for you to follow through each level so you can do this with ease. It really won't?? take you much time at all.

Hitman World of Assassination: The Base Level 1 Elusive Target Arcade Silent Assassin guide

The Base Elusive Target Arcade mission level 1 is exactly the same as The Drop Elusive Target. If you haven't already given that a go, I suggest you go and practice in that mission so you know what you're doing. I'll do a run-through here with ea??sy-to-follow steps all the same.

The loadout for this miss??ion is extremely s??imple. Pick the Club Entrance starting location, and make sure you bring with you the Remote Emetic Gas explosive. This is a big part of the strategy and will make the mission so much faster.

Step 1: Find the owner and take his outfit

Head inside the club and all the way down into the basement. This is where everyone is dancing to the fantastic tunes. From the stairs you take down to this area, head to the back right-hand corner to find a door that's ?only for staff. Go inside and immediately turn left to see a ladder against the DJ booth. See above for a map reference.

This area is off-limits, so you need to be quick, or you'll be caught. Climb the ladder to the top of the DJ booth, then climb onto the duct at the b?ack of it a?nd turn right. Move through the gap in the wall until you can see the large doors with a camera above them to your left. Drop down, sneak under the camera's view, and get through those doors.

Inside, you'll find the owner's office. Move through the area to the left and hide among his various items at ?the back of his office. The NPCs shouldn't even glance your way. In the corner of the office is a gramophone next to a cupboard. Hide down here for the next part. See above for a map reference of where you need to be.

Turn on the gramophone to draw over the own??er. Make sure you turn it off once you've got his attention or the guards will also investigate. Take out the owner and hide his body in the cupboard before grabbing his disguise. Now you can head up to the balcony to find the target.

Step 2: Lay your trap

See above for a rough location of where you should find your target. In this disguise, you can speak to him and get him to take you to a private bar to discuss the future of the club. Walk with him, but if you know where you're going, you can run ahead and lay your trap. Don't worry if you can't. The Remote Emetic ?Gas is a very easy item to use.

Step 3: Go in for the kill

Place the Remote Emetic Gas next to the couch o??n which the target will sit for the meeting. Activate it as he and his bodyguard approach it, and it'll make them both feel a little queasy. The bodyguard will disappear at this point, and your target is going to go through the door behind the couch??. Past the biker guarding the door.

The target will throw up into the elevator shaft. You can follow him and push him down there to kill him. However, you should close the door leading to?? this area because anyone can spot you doing this if you don't.

From he??re, you simply need to reach an exit. You can return through the doors to the bar and find one at the bottom of the concrete steps nearby. Alternatively, h?ead out of the club the way you came in and use the pushbike exit.

Hitman World of Assassination: The Base Level 2 Elusive Target Arcade Silent Assassin guide

The Base Level 2 Elusive Target Arcade mission in Hitman World of Assassination adds two new requirements. First, you'll fail the mission if anyone spots you being suspicious or doing anything illegal. Second, you? can't change your outfit ??at all during the mission, or you'll fail.

Step 1: Set things up

As you can ima?gine, this makes things slightly trickier. But it's still more than possible to get that Silent Assassin rating. For Level 2, my loadout includes the same Remote Emetic Gas, but this time, you're going to pick th??e Biker Hangout starting location.

As soon as you start the mission, get up and grab the ball from the pool table. This is going to be incredibly useful later on. From there, make your way to the private bar in the club, where the target takes?? you in the owner's disguise. He walks in there on a little route until you trigger that interaction, so you can catch him there as he moves ?back and forth.

Once you're in the private bar, head behind the actual bar itself. There's a laptop here that controls the projector screen, and you need to turn it off. This will distract one of the NPCs and cause them to investigate, but make sure you turn the l??aptop back on? again once they're distracted.

When the NPC comes to check the laptop, knock them out using t??he pool ball and hide their bo?dies in the freezer. Do this two more times until the biker guard comes around to investigate. Drag his body towards the stairwell behind this area to hide it.

Step 2: Take the target down

Now, repeat the kill from level 1. Drop the Remote Emetic Gas, trigger it, and push the target into the elevator shaft to kill him. The biker?? guard near the elevator shaft is the only problem for this route, and with him knocked out, you should have no trouble killing the target and making your exit.

The Drop is an Elusive Target mission in Hitman World of Assassination that was permanently added to the game with the addition of The Drop Pack. However, it doesn't matter how many ??times you try the mission; you need to know what you're doing to get that Silent Assassin rating.

In The Drop Elusive Target mission in Hitman World of Assassination, you must assassinate Alexios Laskardis. He's been buying up clubs and dealing drugs out of them, creating an empire, but ?club owners don't want him around to threaten them anymore. Taking him out with a Silent Assassin rating requir??es timing and precision, which is why I've included all the details for you to use below.

Hitman World of Assassination: The Drop Elusive Target Silent Assassin guide

I've outlined the route you should take for your Silent Assassin run in The Drop in Hitman World of Assassination in easy-to-follow steps below. Note that since this is an Elusive Target, you'll have to complete it in one go or risk missing out on it entirely. If you fail and don??'t own the DLC, you'll need to wait for it to return oin the future. If you own the DLC, the mission will reset after a day or so, so you can attempt again.

I picke?d the Club Entrance starting location for this mission. The only item you must bring with you is a lethal syringe or silenced pistol to kill the target. You don't need anything else.

Step 1: Get the owner's disguise

From the club entrance, run down into the basement. Keep going down the stairs until you're in the room where everyone is dancing. In t??he right-hand corner, the back of this room is a door for crew only. It's unlocked, so you can enter it without a key, but you'll be spotted if you don't move out of sight quickly. Open it, rush inside, and head left to the side of the DJ booth to avoid being spotted. See below for a map reference.

You need to climb a ladder on the side of the DJ booth. Once you're on the roof, climb onto the air duct that runs around this section of the club and head?? right. You need to go through the hole in the wall, so you're above some crates to the side of a big set of doors with a camera above them.

Hop down to the floor and wait for the camera to look in the opposite direction. You can sneak under its view and g??o through the doors. See above for a map reference for exactly where they are in the club. Go inside and follow the corridor around to the left. Hide among the junk in the back corner by the gramophone. This item is really important, so look out for it and the cupboard next to it.

Hide as I am in the screenshot above. You need to turn on the gramophone long enough to distract the club owner into coming over. Once he's distracted, turn it off so that no one else comes over. When he ap?proaches, subdue him and hide his body in the cupboard before taking hi?s disguise.

Step 2: Kill the target

With this outfit, you can head back up ??to the club to meet the target. They'll be on the walkway above the basement. In this disguise, you can walk up to him and interact with him to head to a secluded are??a to chat. See above for a map reference for roughly where to locate him.

The target will take you to a private bar and chat with you. Hit the button to continue the first part of the conversation because it causes the target to clear the room of any guards and witnesses. This is your chance to kill him. Use whatever you have, such as a silenced pistol, to take him out. It doesn't matter if he spo?ts you because he's the target.

I rec?ommend using either a sedative or lethal syringe because they're untraceable. If you put the target to sleep, you can then drop him over the edge of the balcony to his death, and ??everyone will think it's an accident.

From there,?? all you need to do is find an exit. There's one just downstairs from this secret bar. Head left fr??om the sofas and down the concrete stairs to the door that leads outside. It'll count as an exit, and you'll secure your Silent Assassin run.

Once y??ou've completed the mission, you??'ll be rewarded with The Greek Fire Suit. Agent 47 can wear this in any mission in the game, so equip it if you want to look like a stylish club owner who will do anything for success in future Elusive Targets.

The A Fine Vintage challenge was added to Hitman World of Assassination with the game's summer 2024 roadmap that kicked off with The Disruptor Elusive Target. It tasks you with pulling off a pretty?? difficult run in the game's Mendoza location for a fairly powerful reward.

To complete the A Fine Vintage challenge in Hitman WoA, you must kill the two targets in Mendoza, Don Archibald Yates and Tamara Vidal, using a fiber wire melee weapon. Following those successful kills, you must escape the location using the boat exit and do it all without ever changing your disguise. Fellow Hitman WoA fans will already know roughly what they must do to pull this off??, but I've got a route that makes light work of it. So you can sit back and relax as you wait for your targets to come to you.

How to complete the A Fine Vintage challenge in Hitman: WoA

You need three things for the A Fine Vintage challenge in Hitman WoA. First, select the Tasting Room starting location because it gives you the waiter disgu?ise, which is all you'll need to get to your targets. Second, you absolutely must equip Agent 47 with a fiber wire melee weap?on like the IO Elite S2VP Earphones, and you'll need a distraction such as the Greedy Little Coin.

Your first move after ?starting the mission should be to run from the wine bar up to the villa. There's a staircase with guards who need to frisk you before you can pass, so dump any weapons they'??ll detect before the frisking. See above for a map reference for the stairs to the villa.

Once you're past the guards, run up to t??he villa alo??ng the veranda and climb up onto the roof using a drainpipe. Run along the roof and get inside Don Yates' room, which he should be sitting on the balcony of when you arrive.

Wait for Yates and his partner to finish their conversation in the corner of the room closest to the door to the balcony. When they come in, his partner will enter first, but neither will notice you here. Wait for Yates to? enter, then garrote him with your fiber wire and hide him in the wardrobe in this room.

Once his body is hidden, head out and return to the party the way ??you came. From here, you need to track down Vidal, who will be wandering around the party with Diana. She's also got two bodyguards with her, but these are easy to? take out, as you'll see.

Wait for Vidal and Diana to approach the position shown in the screenshot above and map reference below. When Vidal and Diana stop here to chat, you can subdue the guard who leans against the lavender plater and hide his body automatically. If you're? quick, you can leave, pick up the weapon he drops, and then use a coin to draw over the second guard and do the same to him.

This removes both guards from your second target. All you need to do now is wait for her to return to this spot and repeat the trick you used on the second guard. Draw her over with a coin, wait fo??r her to turn around, and then garrotte her. You? can dump her body in the lavender without anyone noticing you.

The final part of this challenge is to exit on the boat. So, head out of the party and over to the parking lot, which is Mendoza's main starting location. You need to get past the two guards at the ent??rance to the lavender fields. To do this, crouch and sneak past the guard on the left-hand side when he turns the other way and rush into the lavender to hide.

You must sneak through the lavender fields to reach the boathouse on the water beyond. Ther??e should be an exit icon on-screen for you to follow as you go. The guards won't spot you if you hide in the lavender, so move between bushes to cross paths and take your time.

To get the boat key, you need to go around the back of the boathouse and vault in through the window. It's hanging on the wall. Then, use the radio to distract one of the guards, and draw?? them into the boathouse, and vault back out.

Finally, dodge or take out the second guard on the jetty, then hop into the boat and exit the ?mission. Provided you don't change your disguise once and follow this run, you'll unlock the Pinot Noir item. This is actually a pretty powerful item that you can equip with a poison and combine with the Tasting Room starting location to set up an early Silent Assassin kill for Vidal at the very start of future missions.

Developer IO Interactive has announced that The Drop Elusive Target will return to Hitman World of Assassination on September 12, 2024. The mission features the likeness of DJ?? superstar Dimitri Vegas on the mission's target, Alexios Laskaridis, whom players must take down in the Berlin location.

The Drop debuted in Hitman WoA in October 2023 and revamps the Berlin location to make it feel interesting and challenging with new guards, a new set of story missions to follow, and many opportunities for unique assassinations. However, it felt a little simplistic compared to other Elusive Targets such as The Rage or The Procurers. This time around, though, there's a litt?le more to it th?an this mission alone.

Get the drop on some Hitman goodies

Agent 47 has been contracted to take down Alexios Laskaridis because the DJ's ta?stes have shifted from dominating his industry to making a massive dent in the world of drugs. In fact, one of the story missions gives you a small window of opportunity to take him down by poisoning a sample of drugs or setting up a fake deal to get his bodyguards out of the way. You can even drop him into the crowd in the club, which I think is ??the most thematically accurate way to take him down.

Similar to The Disruptor Elusive Target, The Drop will arrive in September with a new DLC pack for Hitman WoA. Those who purchase it gain permanent access to The Drop Elusive Target mission, meaning you can attempt it multiple times even if you fail. Those who don't purchase the pack will have one chance to complete the mission and only one chance. Of course, the DLC includes a host of items and suits for Agent 47, as well as some Freelancer House furniture.

Closer to The Drop's relaunch, IO Interactive will reveal a new roadmap for Hitman WoA that includes new challenges for old missions and locations and dates for upcoming Elusive Targets. I've really enjoyed the challenges added to t??he game with its summer 2024 roadmap, so I can't wait to see what else we have on the way.

Finally, IO Interactive has teased that there's going to be more Twitch Drops for Hitman WoA when the next roadmap arrives. We've had a purple suitcase and suit in the past, so I'm not sure what to expect. It would ?be nice to get some streaming-related weapons like exclusive headphones to kill targets with or a tiny-yet-lethal screwdriver traditionally used for ?PC modding.

With the big Summer update for Hitman World of Assassination, developer IO Interactive introduced new challenges to the game to keep players busy in what is usually a quiet period for releases. Some of these challenges, like the Sapi??enza Sports Club, are downright fiendish.

To complete the Sapienza Sports Club challenge in Hitman World of Assassination tasks you with killing Sapienza's two main targets in unique ways. You've got to take out Francesca De Santis with an explosive golf ball and Silvio?? Caruso using the explosive baseball. The thing is, there's a story mission in Sapienza that uses an explosive golf ball, and if you're?? like me, you'll go ahead and complete it without a second thought. But that's not how you do this challenge.

How to complete the Sapienza Sports Club challenge in Hitman World of Assassination

Below, I've outlined exactly how to complete the Sapienza Sports Club challenge in Hitman World of Assassination in easy-to-follow steps. Note that this is just the method I used because this game is so open you could do it in dozens of different ways. I've veered away from a Silent Assassin route because that's adding an unnecessar?y complication you don't need to worry about.

Step 1: Make sure you have the explosive baseball unlocked

I didn't have the explosive baseball unlocked in Hitman World of Assassination prior to tackling this challenge, so I had to put in some work to hit Mastery Level 10 in the Whittleton Creek location before I?? could attempt it. Based on my experience, I reckon you could hit the required level and get t?his item within two or three runs of the mission.

However, you need to make sure you complete as many story missions, challenges, and f?eats as possible. Each one adds to your Mastery Level, so don't hold back. I also played the bonus assignment for the location a few times, and that gave my Mastery L?evel a huge boost without making me grind through the same mission repeatedly.

Step 2: Pick the right loadout and suit up

See above for my loadout for running this challenge. Obviously, you need to bring the explosive baseball. I've chosen the ICA Safehouse as my starting location because you can get an explosive golf ball i??n there, but I've also smuggled one in through that same safe house. You'll also want the electronic key hacker to complete the secondary objective so you can escape. Finally, Agent 47 should wear a breathable outfit because Italy is hot this time of year.

Even if you can't start in the ICA Safehouse location, it's very close to the main square, the default starting location for Sapienza. See above for a map reference. grab the explosive golf ball, and the??n head out the door onto the roof. You can climb up to the apartment above here and steal the cook's disguise from the bed. You'll need this to find your targets.

Step 3: Infiltrate the villa and steal the gold coach's phone

Next, you need to get inside the villa and ??take out the golf coach so you can get his phone. You can track a story mission to find him, but he's only ever hanging out by the small golfing green at the back of the property. Sidle along the ledge from the same roof where you grabbed the cook's disguise and move through th??e kitchen to get into the villa.

From there, run around the exterior o?f the villa until you find the gold coach. He's hard to miss in a striped green top. He'll move from the pool to a cliff edge, where he'll call his secret lover. There's also a guard on this cliff edge, but you've got to take them both out for this to work.

To do this, I lured the guard over to the tall grass when the golf coach w??as by the pool, subdued him, and dumped his body over the cliff. Then, when the golf coach came? over, I just bopped him on the head with some expired spaghetti sauce, and he tumbled down the cliff by himself. You don't need the disguise, so let him fall.

Step 4: Eliminate your first target

Use the phone to call Francesca De Santis to her room. This can be found in the villa just up the stairs from where the go??lf coach was chatting to her on the phone. The best way in is through the bathroom window, which is around the corner from the door and under the small bridge.

Wait inside for the target to arrive. She won't bring a guard ??inside, so wait for the door to close and the two of you to be alone. Then, equip the explosive golf ball and lob it at her head to take her out. Immediately level the scene?? via the bathroom window to avoid any unwanted attention.

Step 5: Take out your second target

The explosion from your first target's death will trigger an alert status. So, the guards will drag the second target into the underground bunker beneath the villa. To get there, head to the cliff where the golf coach and guard were hanging out and take the path?? left down the side of the cliff. See above for a map reference.

Follow the path down, taking out the guard as you go, and you'll find a door. Use the electronic key hac??ker to unlock the door, and you'll be able to hear your second target inside the cave. Wait for all the guards to calm down a bit and allow the target to head up towards the door where you're waiting.

Then, equip and launch the explosive baseball at the targe?t's head. This should kill the guard close to him as well, but run back and hide in the tall grass next to the door just in case anyone else rushes out. It's worth grabbing a soldier's disgui??se if one does come out because that's useful for the next area.

Step 6: Destroy the virus and exit

The next stage of the mission is one you should be familiar with. You've got to destroy the virus in the cave and then exit the location. I did this two times because I got the explosives mixed up in my first run. In one attempt, I used a shotgun to kill all guards, then destroyed the virus and used the plane as my e??xit.

In the second run, the alert in the cave had caused the hazmat-wearing NPCs to leave the lab. After turning the ventilation back on, I snuck in through the door they entered, put on a hazmat suit, and proceeded to cause havoc with the systems and destroy the virus without being spotted. I still used the p??lane as my exit because it's the closest to the lab.

The Mystery of the Unicorns challenge in Hitman World of Assassination is fairly simple to complete, provided you have good map kn??owledge. Without it, you'll struggle, w??hich will make any Silent Assassin attempt even more difficult.

Developer IO Interactive added the Mystery of the Unicorns challenge to Hitman World of Assassination as part of the game's Summer 2024 update. It gives you a new reason to revisit Dartmoor, though not as you might first think. Instead, this challenge is firmly ??locked to The Dartmoor Garden Show mission. This is the game's only main Escalation Mission type, which is a staple part of the story and not a smaller chunk of a standard location because it contains a completely revamped version of the main map.

How to complete the Mystery of the Unicorns challenge in Hitman: World of Assassination

Below, I've explained how to complete the Mystery of the Unicorns challenge in Hitman World of Assassination in easy-to-follow steps. Read through to find the point that you're struggling with and see exactly what you need to do to progress. Note that this ?is my method for completing the challenge, but everything else is flexible as long as?? you hit the main requirements.

Step 1: Find a unicorn horn

Your first job is to find a unicorn horn in The Dartmoor Garden Show location. The unicorn horns from the main Dartmoor location have been altered slightly, so you can't rely purely on that map knowledge.? The easiest unicorn horn to find is to the left of the garden show's main entrance. See below for a map reference for this item.

Once you have the unicorn horn, your only ?task?? is to kill a target with it.

Step 2: Kill a target

The Dartmoor Garden Show randomly assig??ns targets for every level, so it's difficult to give you direction on how best to use the unicorn horn to complete the Mystery of the Unicorns challenge. However, what is always the same is that the first level of the Escalation Mission always has one target to kill and one to keep alive.

To complete this challenge, I simply found my target, killed them with a thrown attack using the unicorn horn, a??nd then ran to an exit on the lawn. This is by far the best way to complete the challenge quickly because it gets you in and out without much fuss. You don't have to complete a Silent Assassin run for the challenge, so why not complete it first and then do that purist run?

Once you've exited the mission and have completed the Mystery of the Unicorns challenge in Hitman World of Assassination, you'll gain points for your profile and the Unicorn Horn melee item for a?ll your loadouts in future missions.

Rotten Fruit is a challenge in Hitman World of Assassination that tasks you with poisoning one of the loc??ation's targets, Sinhi "Akka" Venthan, using a Durian. Not only is this item hard to come by, and chances to poison the target are even rarer, but there is a simple method for those willing to put in the work.

The Rotten Fruit challenge was added to Hitman WoA with the summer 2024 update alongside The Disruptor Elusive Target. You can find it in the Feats menu in the Ambrose Island location. You don't need any special equipment to complete the challenge, but you will get the Durian item i?f you complete it and go on to exit the mission. The it?em is actually incredibly useful, and I've been eager to get my hands on it for other locations ever since Ambrose Island was released.

How to complete the Rotten Fruit challenge in Hitman WoA

To complete the Rotten Fruit challenge in Hitman WoA, enter the Ambrose Island location using the Western Beach start?ing point. You need to get to the beach next to the pirate settlement and find the container with a window into the kitchen storage. It's very close to the guarded entrance to Sinhi "Akka" Venthan's safe house. See below for a map reference for this location.

Vault up onto the boxes in front of the window and wait for the chef to enter the storage room. You need to vault into the room and subdue?????????????????????????? the chef, then dump his body in the container in this area. It's a good idea to take his disguise if you want to go on to kill your targets and complete the missio??n, but that's up to you based on whether you're going for a Silent Assassin rating or not.

If you do this quickly?, you can then head out into the pirate village and see the target, Sinhi "Akka" Venthan, who you need to poison with the Durian on the balcony above. I threw this next to her and managed to get it to explode on the railing, which poisoned her and completed the c?hallenge.

I did this using the chef disguise, so I suggest you use it?? if you want to complete this challenge in one ??go. Note that you only need to poison the target, kill her, and exit the mission. You don't need to kill the target using this poisoning opportunity. so you can loop the poison into your best route through the mission, complete it, and then reap your rewards.

The Ostentatious is a new Elusive Target Arcade mission in Hitman World of Assassination featuring not one but two levels focused on The Disruptor. These might be some of the most fun and challengin??g missions in the game, even more so when you attempt to complete them with a Silent Assas?sin rating.

When it comes to E??lusive Target Arcade missions, Silent Assassin is about as good a rating as you can get. This means you've killed the target without being noticed by anyone else, no bodies were discovered, and you didn't kill anyone apart from the target.? However, pulling this off across two levels is a different story, especially when one of those levels has incredibly strict additional objectives.

Hitman WoA: The Ostentatious Elusive Target Arcade Level 1 Silent Assassin guide

Below, I've outlined how to complete level 1 of The Ostentatious Elusive Target Arcade mission in Hitman WoA with a Silent Assassin rating. This follows the main story method for killing the target and is? pretty fun to watch play out, so I recommend usi??ng it if this is your first run in the mission.

?I used the most basic default equipment for this run. Start at the Harbor location and use the equipment Agent 47 is given in the menu. The only thing you really need is a silenced pistol.

Step 1: Get inside the castle and find the ring

To kick this mission off, follow the main path into the castle and head left after you go through the massive ?fancy doors. This will lead you to a courtyard with a huge fighting ring, and it's where you'll meet The disruptor for the first time?.

For now, we just need?? to let things play out. You'll pick up a story mission from Diana telling you that you can pause the match and jump in as the CEO's second to ??kill The Disruptor in plain sight. But you're not given any instructions on how to get this done.

Step 2: Get a guard disguise and end the round

Make your way to the gap in the wall in the area close ??to the ring. See the map reference above for the exact location. You can get through and into the church via a hole in the wall here. Grab the wrench from the corridor and turn left ?into the church at the end of it. Just keep an eye on the NPC on your right to make sure he doesn't spot you.

Turn left inside the church, and you'll see two guards in the crypt. One will always stand by the tombs, while the other will w??alk away and look into the distance for a few seconds before returning to his friend. You need to time your attack to use the wrench to hit and subdue the stationary guard before throwing it to subdue the moving one.

Dump both bodies in the crate, but take one of their disguises so Agent 47 appears to be a guard. You can now head back into the corridor with the wrench and turn left to go up the stairs. G?o this way instead of through the main crowd because there's one guard who could still spot you.

At the top of the stairs, turn right and look for the bell on the balcony. There's a camera scanning the entrance, so wait ??for it to move and get in around the edges. You can ring this bell and end the round as a guard, causing the CEO t??o head off to train.

Step 3: become the CEO's second

Head back down the stairs and through the corridor to get into the main crowd and follow the CEO. He heads off down a path to the left of the one you used to get into this area, but it'll b?e?? on your right if you're looking at it with the ring behind you.

The CEO will chat with his trainer for a bit before heading into his training room. You can't get in there without a key, so go to the right, around the camera's view, and turn t?he fuse box off. This will distract the trainer and draw him out, but make sure you tu??rn the fuse box back on before he comes out. If you don't, more people will come to investigate.

Subdue the trainer when he comes out and dump his body in the crate on your right. Take his disguise and pick up the key on the floor. Before g?oing into the room, u?se the silenced pistol to shoot out the camera. I guarantee you'll get so excited about what's coming next that you'll accidentally walk through it if you don't.

Inside, you can talk to the CEO, Time Quinn, and convince him to let you be his second. He'll strip off, and you and then dress Ag??ent 47 in MMA gear. From here, you've got to head back to the ring to? face The Disruptor.

Step 4: Kill The Disruptor

As you enter the ring, you'll need to interact with the NPCs to trigger the fight. Your target is?? more than happy to beat Agent 47 up, but he doesn't know what's coming. Use the on-screen prompts to block incoming attacks and charge up Agent 47's punch. It should only take one or two hits to trigger the killing blow.

After The Disruptor is down, hang around in the ring for a while because you can u??se it as an exit. This is the best way to end the mission because it's a spectacle, and there's nothing else like it in the game.

Hitman WoA: The Ostentatious Elusive Target Arcade Level 2 Silent Assassin guide

Level 2 of The Ostentatious Elusive Target Arcade mission in Hitman WoA kicks things up a notch with two new objectives. In addition to killing the target and ensuring the CEO survives, ?we must also complete the mission without ever being noticed or changing Agent 47's disguise. While going unseen is par for the course in this run, never changing disguises complicates things somewhat.

Below, follow my step by step guide for completing level 2 with a Silent Assassin rating. As with level 1, this run uses the most basic default eq?uipment and Harbor starting location. All you need is the silenced pistol, so make sure you've got it and load into the mission.

Step 1: Get to the Architect's room

Just like you did in level 1, make your way into the castle, turn left once you're through the ?main doors, and head for the ring. Instead of waiting for the match to start, you're going to run around the ring and find the gap in the wall at ??the location shown in the map above.

Head through the gap and then right into another hole in the wall into the church. Pick up the wrench i??n this corridor and then turn left to get inside the crypt. Watch out for the nosy NPC on your right as you go?? because he might alert the guards.

Inside the crypt, you'll find a ladder. Climb that ladder, and you'll be inside the Architect's room. If you ?were slow, the Architect will already be here, looking out of the window. If you were fast, you'll ne??ed to hide and wait for him to enter.

Step 2: Take out the Architct and guard

Throw your wrench at the Architect to knock him out and then drag his body around the corner of the table close to the door to the training room next door. Once he's hidden, open the door to the training room, drop the wrench?? to distract the guard, and then wait for him to come over.

Subdue this guard and then hide his body and the Architect's in the cases in this room. The next thing you've got to do is stop the match. As you did in lev??el 1, aim at the bell and shoot it while being careful not to hit an NPC. The best place to do this is the window where the Architect was looking out at the match.

Step 3: Take out The Disruptor's guards

Wait for The Disruptor to come upstairs with his two guards and e?nter his training room. Don't try to distract them with guns, because they'll just deposit them in this room. It makes you feel super silly, so let's just avoid that entirely.

To take out the first guard, use the same wrench trick with the door to lure him out of the room and subdue him, but do it twice to get him down by the corner of the table and out?? of sight of the other guard in the training room?. Drag the body out of sight at the opposite end of the room when you're finished.

To take out the second guard, I had to throw the wrench into the training room to distract the g?uard. Then, I managed to pull him out to the corner of the table while he was investigating, but you've got to really try with him because he loves spotting for The D??isruptor.

Step 4: Kill The disruptor

With the guards taken care of, you must kill The Disruptor. To be safe, you need to do this without him seeing you, even though under standard ??Silent Assassin rules, he'd be able to spot you, and it wouldn't count. Use your sile??nced pistol to shoot him in the head and be done with it.

You can hide the bodies if you want, but nobody will enter this room to find them either way. This is the point to head to an exit while no one suspects a thing, so you can claim your Silent Assassin, Suit Only rating for this particular level.

This will complete The Ostentatious Elusive Target Arcade mission in Hitman WoA. You might notice the crazy final cutscene that plays after both levels. Unfortunately, I don't know what it means, but I think it's fun to specu??late that Agent 47's MMA days might not be over.

The Disruptor is a fantastic Elusive Target mission in Hitman World of Assassination, with n??one other than MMA fighter Conor McGregor playing the role of the target: The Disruptor. This mission lets you take Agent 47 into new territory, and you can do it all with a Silent Assassin, Suit Only rating.

Part of the joy of playing Hitman WoA is completing every mission with a rank of Silent Assassin, and maybe even Silent Assassin, Suit Only if you know the levels inside and out. The Disruptor is an interesting Elusive Target because it can be completed with this l??ofty rank while still showboating a ??bit and getting up close and personal in public with the target. Even if this is your first Elusive Target, you should be able to get this done without too many issues.

Hitman WoA The Disruptor Elusive Target Silent Assassin, Suit Only guide

Below, I've broken down how to complete The Disruptor Elusive Target in Hitman WoA with a rank of Silent Assassin, Suit Only in easy-to-follow steps. Where required, I've included map references to help you out. Note th?at this guide works with the most basic e?quipment on a brand new account. I used the Harbor starting location and the default equipment for Agent 47, so you can too.

Step 1: Get to The Architect's room

From your starting location in the Harbor, follow the main route up the stairs and into the castle. Once you're in the main doors, which will open dramatically for you, turn left and head to the fighter's ring. Once you're up there, you'll get a story cue for who The Disruptor is, and can learn that Agent 47 could become a second in this fight to take out the tar?get unnoticed.

Since we need to do this with our original suit, we won't be doing that, but it's a gre??at option for The Ostentatious Level 1. Head around the ring and turn left, through the crowd, until you reach a gap in the castle?? wall. See below for a map reference for this location.

Go through t?he gap and turn right. There's a hole in the wall you can enter through. Pick up the wrench in this hallway, and then turn left at the end to get inside the ch??urch. An NPC through the door to your right could spot you here, so move fast.

Now you're in the church, climb the ladder. The room you enter will be The Architect's?? Room. Depending on how long it took you to get here, he might already be in the room, staring out of the window. If he's not, hide behind the table at the back of the room a??nd wait for him to arrive.

Step 2: Take out the guard and architect

Now you're up here, wait for the architect to enter the room and look out the window. Once he's here, launch the wrench at his head and hide his body around the corner of the table where ??you were. Next, crouch against the wall next to the door to The Disruptor's training room, throw the wrench at your feet, and wa??it for the guard to approach. When he does, subdue him.

You can now hide both of these bodies in one of the cases in The Disruptor's training room. With that out of the way, go back into the architect's room and look out at the balcony. You need to use Agent 47's silenced pistol to shoot the bell that will?? end the round an??d cause The Disruptor to come to you.

This is a tricky shot to make, so take y?our time. You ?might hit an NPC if you miss, which would be very bad for your run.

Step 3: Remove The Disruptor's guards

After the bell has rung, The Disruptor will walk up to his training room. With the architect gone, he'll hang out in there for ages. don't try to leave guns on the floor to distract the guards ??because you're standing in the room they deposit them in. Trust me, I tried.

When The D?isruptor and his guards have entered the training room, use the same wrench by the door trick ?you did on the first guard to lure one of the target's guards out. Retreat behind the table before he comes out, then distract him again and get him to come to the back of the table so you can take him out unnoticed.

Hide the first guard's body out of sight, then repeat the process for the second guard. This guy takes a lot of convincing to leave the man he's spotting. In the end, I had to throw the wrench jus??t inside the training roo??m and grab it quickly before the guard came over. Then I had to tease him to the table to finally take him down.

Step 4: Kill The Disruptor

Enter the training room and shoot The Disruptor in the head. You don't need to be stylish about this; it doesn't matte??r if he sees you because he's the target. You retain your Silent Assassin rating as long as he dies. With that bit of business out of the way, you could hide the bodies if you want to be smart, but I recommend getting to the Harbor as quickly as possible so you can exit the mission with your incredibly impressive rating.

Developer IO Interactive has today announced that Conor McGregor is entering Hitman World of Assassination as The Disruptor Elusi??ve Target. Players have from June 27, 2024, until July 7, 2024, to find and kill McGregor's character, sim?ply known as the MMA fighter The Disruptor, in whatever way they see fit.

The Disruptor Elusive Target mission takes place on Hitman WoA's Isle of Sgail. There, the MMA fighter is set to fight the CEO of Quantum Leap, a combat sports enthusiast, but the company's stakeholders don't think it's such a great idea. That's why they've hired Agent 47 to take The Disruptor out before things go south and the company's share price takes a dive. The mission promises multiple rewards for you to earn and use elsewhere in the game, and a set of challe??nges to complete.

A new elusive threat, a new elusive reward

The Disruptor Elusive Target mission in Hitman WoA is available to all players, whether you own the Free Starter Pack or the full game. However, if you want to get the most out of it and unlock the exclusive Arcade variant of the mission, The Ostentatious, then you'll need to purchase The Disruptor Pack for $4.99/�.99/£3.99.?? This pack includes the following.

• Permanent access to The Ostentatious Arcade level.
• The Disruptor Fur Coat.
• The Disruptor Kettlebell, the Disruptor Resistance Band, and the Disruptor Cane items.
• A set of new cosmetics for the Freelancer Safehouse, including a money pit.

As with every mission in Hitman WoA??, how you eliminate the target is up to you. The Isle of Sgail is filled with opportunities, weapons, and disguises. Of course, there is also a set story method for how to kill this c??haracter, and it ends with an official MMA fight.

The Ostentatious is a two-level Arcade mission, in which you'll need to take out The Disruptor as well as a second target while working within the Elusive Target mission ruleset. These rules also apply to The?? Disruptor Elusive Target mission??. If you fail the mission by getting Agent 47 killed after killing the target, then the mission will end, and you won't be able to restart or get any of the rewards on offer.

This isn't the first time a celebrity has appeared in Hitman WoA. Earlier this year, Sean Bean's The Undying Elusive Target returned for the first time since Hitman 3's release for players to tactfully murder. I can't wait to try to take out Conor McGregor as The Disruptor in?? this mission, especially since there's a chance to go toe-to-toe with him in the ring.

'You're going to be knackered, 47'

IO Interactive has announced plans to consolidate its celebrated Hitman trilogy into one singular platform �Hitman: World of Assassination, will see the missions, modes, DLC, and in-game store of the highly celebrated murder simulators brought together in o??ne easy-to-access dashboard.

Launching January 26, Hitman: World of Assassination will become the singular purchasable entity with which to play Hitman (2016), Hitman 2 (2018), and Hitman III (2021). All Hitman III owners will be automatically upgraded to the new platform, with the option of adding all of their additional Hitman and Hitman 2 content. On Steam, a "complete the set" option will allow players to fill in the gaps within their Hitman collection at a discounted price, omitting the content that ?they already own

For those picking up these ace titles for the first time, IO Interactive is relea??sing two new bun?dles:

Hitman 3: Freelancer is a new mode for the assassination game, set to arrive on January 26, 2023. But ahead of that, IO Interactive is hosting a closed tech??nical test in Nove??mber.

The Hitman 3: Freelancer closed technical test will take place on November 3 through 7. The closed technical test will only be available on PC ?via Steam, and it will be a sepa??rate game, with a download code delivered by IO if you're chosen.

We also got a pretty decently sized gameplay video today, showcasing just how Hitman 3: Freelancer works. The walkthrough shows off many di??fferent aspects of the roguish new mode: picking contracts, planning, touring the?? home base, and then setting out for a mission.

Even Agent 47 is part of the gig economy

The mode will pose a bunch of new challenges and options to players, based around the maps of the Hitman World of Assassination trilogy.

For the closed technical test, only a select portion of the pool will be available. The nine available maps are: Paris, Sapienza, Hokkaido, Miami, Mumbai, Whittleton Creek, Dartmoor, Be??rlin, and Mendoza.

The full Freelancer mode will have just about every map, barring three. The ICA Facility, Hawke's Bay, and the Carpathian Mountains will be the only locales not in the full Freelancer launch.

While there is progression within the closed technical test, that ??mas??tery will not carry over to the full launch.

But this new way of playing Hitman has looked like a cool alternative for awhile now. I'm sure some players are probably eager to tinker with the possibilities in it. They'll be getting their chance? in November, ahead of the full launch at the start of the new year.

A closed test is in the works

The new Freelancer mode for Hitman 3 is getting another delay. Agent 47's new undertaking is now ?aiming?? to launch on January 26, 2023.

A new blog from IO Interactive details the roadmap ahead for Hitman 3: Freelancer, in a series it's calling Road to Freelancer. The Hitman developer plans for several updates between now and January 26, i?ncluding a closed technical test.

On October 6, a new patch and roadmap will arrive for Hitman 3. Another update on October 27 will have details about when the Hitman 3: Freelancer closed technical test will start and how to get acces?s.

Then, in November, IO plans to host the test. More updates will arrive between then and January 26, when the game mode? goes live.

Freelancer was originally planned for earlier this year, but has faced a few delays along the way. Hitman 3 has still been seeing some content roll out though, with its latest location Ambrose Island dropping in July.

A new way to play

The upcoming Freelancer mode is being billed as a roguelike adaptation of the Hitman formula. In it, Agent 47 will have?? a safehouse and series of contracts to carry out. Loadouts and mission planning can be set up in advance, and equipment can be acquired or los??t in the field.

This mode seems like a way to not just test out veteran Hitman players, but to add some interesting wrinkles and challenges to the existing map pool. IO says today that it's pushed beyond its initial scope for Freelancer to include "almost all locations" from the World of Assassination trilogy on day one. It's also going to be a free update for Hitman 3 owners.

So if you've got Hitman 3 on PC via Steam, you might be able to hop into the Freelancer test. Otherwise, it's headed to Hitman 3 owners on January 26, 2023.

The new update is free for Hitman 3 owners

Hitman 3 just got some new content today, in the form of a new map and more. Ambrose Island is a new locale that's free for any owner of Hitman 3.

The update rolls out for anyone today, so long as they own a copy of Hitman 3 on their platform of choice. That does include Game Pass subscription owners, according to IO Interactive's announcement. The only exception is the Hitman 3 Free Starter Pac??k, which does?? not get access to Ambrose Island.

The patch rolled out at 9 a.m. ET this morning, on July 26, and is included in the patch. No need to download anything extra from the s??tore.

As for what Agent 47 is getting up to in these tropical islands? Well, the opening cinematic released today can give you a clue. A former associate of Mr. Grey's needs taking care of, and that will have to include dealing with a local pirate ?syndicate and disrupting a satel??lite connection along the way.

With the update, there are also some new tools and challenges. A special wetsuit and massive machete are among the rewards. There's also a gas grenade with a poisonous frog trapped inside. And heck, even a fishing? hook. Plus, new starting locations, stashes, and more await.

The future of Hitman

While this brings a new locale and likely plenty of mayhem to Hitman 3, there's also more in store. IO Interactive has also been refreshing old content as well, adding new challenges and unlockable it?ems.

Plus, the evolving Freelancer mode is planned for somewhere further off in the future. It seems like the World of Assassination is not quite done with Hitman and Agent 47 yet. There will always be targets in need of taking down, bodies in need of a hiding place, and a runway to walk as notorious fashion icon Helmu??t Kruger.

Agent 47 deals with a mild pirate problem

IO Interactive is bringing more content to Hitman in the coming month, including a new map to explore. Ambrose Island arrives on July 26 for Hitman 3 owners, as part of the July content rollout.

Ambrose Island is an uncharted island in the Andaman Sea. It's home to a pirate syndicate, and Agent 47 will be arriving to help an old friend rectify their mistake. It's a full-on new sandbox map: new targets, gameplay, an??d rewards all await. Plus, there has? got to be some hidden treasure there, right?

Between the quiet town, the rope bridges, and the dangerous lookouts, it seems like a ripe area to explore for adventurous would-be assassins. Ambrose Island is free DLC for all Hitman 3 owners as well.

The road ahead

There's other content coming to Hitman 3 and the World of Assassination pack this month, too. July's free location rotation is Bangkok, a location from the first Hitman in 2016. The Revolutionary and the Food Critic are this month's Elusive Targets, with the former from July 8 through 18 and the latter from July 15 through 25. The Revolutionary requires a Hitman 2 Access Pass, while the critic requires a Hitman 1 GOTY Access Pass.

The Elusive Target Arcade also gets an update on July 14, with a shiny new katana to unlock. Bea??t any of the batches to get it. And then paint the walls neon with the katana. It's not the stealthiest option, unless you're attending a neon rave with a samurai theme, but it looks cool. Plus, on July 21, some pirate-themed Feature Contracts will roll out too.

While the Freelancer mode for Hitman 3 has been pushed a bit further down the line, Ambrose Island seems like a good enough excuse to return to Hitman 3. The post-launch levels for the Hitman reboot ?trilogy have been solid so far, and I really just want to see what bizarre eliminations IO has cooked up for a pirate island.

Shipping off to Ambrose Island

There's more to do in the World of Assassination. IO Interactive updated its future Hitman 3 roadmap today, confirming that a new map is coming soon, but the new Freelancer ??mode will need a little more time.

In today's updated roadmap, IO Interactive gives some news on its previously announced plans. A big piece of that is Freelancer mode, the new evolving way of playing through different Hitman levels.

IO Interactive says it's been playtesting the new mode and getting feedback, which has been positive. The studio is taking some extra time to ensure it's solid, however, and is now aiming to deliver Hitman 3: Freelancer in the second half of 2022.

On the flip-side, the new Hitman 3 map code-named Rocky is getting moved up. Officially revealed as Ambrose Island, the new area will be arriving in July 2022. It's a new map that takes place chronologically before the events of Hitman 3, and IO say?s it will fill in a few gaps from the storyline.

As for extra updates to Hitman 3, the next big patch is set for May 24. A few pieces of content are on the docket for then, ranging from some featured contracts and reactivated Elusive Targets to the, uh, Ducky Gun. I am admittedly curious ab??out what's up with the Ducky Gun.

Wide, wide World of Assassination

Hitman 3 is in its Year 2 of updates, with several big ones like ray tracing on the way and PC VR already out. Considering the Hitman trilogy is also one giant, interconnected gam?e, it's just adding on top.

The studio did see a recent shake-up with director Mattias Engström leaving to work on Crysis 4. However, it looks like IO Interactive is moving full steam ahead. There's more work for Agent 47 to tackle, and even further on the horizon, a new IP for IO to explore.

Agent 47 will get a little roguish this year

IO Interactive has unveiled some of its plans for the year ahead with Hitman 3 and its reboot trilogy. Starting next week on Jan. 20, Hitman 3 launches into ?its Year 2 content, with a few updates hitting right away and several more to come as the year goes on.

On Jan. 20, Hitman 3 will add the Elusive Target Arcade, a free new mode for Hitman owner?s. The Arcade will have special Contracts, challenging you to take down several Elusive Targets in succession with additional complications in the mix. Failing an Arcade Contract will lock you out from another try for 12 hours, but the Contracts are permanent additions; IO has confirmed these won't be one-and-done attempts like previous Elusive Targets.

Hitman 3 Year 2 will launch with three Arcade Contracts in tow, each one focusing on targets from the three different Hitman entries. More ?are planned to arrive through the year.

Hitman VR is also coming to PC on Jan. 20, with the entire trilogy playable in PC VR. In the reveal stream?, IO's developers showcase the two-handed throw options and body movement possible with the PC VR tools. And I'll admit, it really ??makes me want to get a VR headset.

To bring it all together, the Hitman Trilogy is also launching on Jan. 20. This digital collection includes all three Hitman games from IO's World of Assassinati?on trilogy in one package. ?It's coming to PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the Epic Games Store, as well as Steam and Xbox Game Pass.

This not only brings the full Hitman Trilogy to Steam, but Game Pass will make the whole?? package available on both console and PC Game Pass options.

While all of that arrives on Jan. 20, 2022, more is in store for the year ahead. IO Interactive discussed a few other things coming to Hitman 3 Year 2 as well. More tech improvements are set to arrive later in 2022, like ray tracing, In??tel XeSS technology, and Variable Rate Shadin??g on PC.

A new mode called Freelancer is also coming in Year 2, adding Agent 47's Safehouse and a roguish new way to play. You can set up your loadout and pre-plan missions, as well as hang out and customize your Safehouse, then set out to take down criminal enterprises in missions. It's got a similar approach to Escape From Tarkov, where equipment can be acquired? and lost in the field. Special NPC types will help or hinder you, and additional challenges look to make things a little tougher, even for the trained assassin?.

Lastly, IO showed a brief sneak peek of its new Map, codenamed Rocky. It was only a brief glimpse, but it's a sign of even more content to come for Hitman. Looks l??ike there's a lot more "work" to be done by Agent 47 in the new year.

Another year in the World of Assassination

We're coming up on the one-year anniversary of Hitman 3, the third entry in the Hitman reboot continuum. And this week, we're going to learn a little more about what's still in store for Agent 47 with Hitman 3 Year 2.

The pre-recorded video stream will run for about 15 minutes. Expect announcements, reveals, and footage of new content coming to the world of Hitman.

IO Interactive has already talked a little bit about what's coming in the next year for Hitman 3, and it looks pretty exciting. Hitman 3 Year 2 is set to include VR support for the PC ?side of things, as well as ray tracing. New maps and storylines are also in the works. And th?e Elusive Target Arcade will offer a new permanent mode, as an extension of IO's Elusive Target setup that added a lot of post-launch content to old maps over the last few entries.

Hitman 3 by itself was already pretty good, and as a whole collection across all three games, IO's Hitman series is a wealth of disguises and assassinations. It's nice to see the studio still support more Hitman content, even with its Bond game on the horizon. Here's hoping for some great new vistas and beautiful paradises to wear ridi??culous costumes in.

Even more content is headed to the World of Assassination

Hitman 3 launched right at the start of 2021, and after a year of clever disguises and assassinations, IO Interactive is teasing what's to come in 2022. Today, the company announced that Hitman 3 Year 2 will ki??ck off? with some early updates for PC players, and more to come beyond.

Hitman 3 Year 2 will start on Jan. 20, 2022 with support confirmed for another 12 months afterwards. In a blog on the IO Interactive site, the studio confirms this includes new maps, storylines, and ways to play all? lined up for next year.

For PC players, a Ray Tracing update is coming to PC in 2022. Virtual reality will also arrive for PC players in January 2022. And a new way to play is already being teased: the Elusive Target Arcade will be a new permanent mode, as a twist on the established Elusive Target formula. More details will be announced in early January 2022, and Spring 2022 will hold a "major update" for Hitman 3 as well.

It sounds like a lot of content is set to arrive in Hitman 3 Year 2. This entry, and the rebooted Hitman trilogy, seems to have garnered it too; as part of today's announcement, IO Interactive confirmed that the World of Assassination trilogy has reached 50 million players, and Hitman 3 is now the most successful Hitman game of all time.

Hitman 3 seems to have left its trilogy on a good note, and now it's getting even more to do with Year Two. We'll see what the new year holds for Agent 47 as it all starts rolling out?.

A well-deserved vacation

With the rebooted Hitman trilogy come to a close with Hitman 3, IO Interactive is lo??oking ahead to its next ??project. Part of that, it sounds like, is giving Agent 47 a little break.

In a recent interview with IGN, IO Interactive CEO and co-owner Hakan Abrak discussed the future of the Hitman franchise, after Hitman 3 put a neat bow on the trilogy's story.

"Our thinking right?? now is Agent 47 deserves a bit ?of a rest," said Abrak. "He's been busy the last three games."

IO Interactive has still been busy with live elements, supporting the platform that's been built across the three recent Hitman games, which it calls the "World of Assassination." Abrak says the studio will continue releasing new things for its communities moving forward. Even if he's taking a breather, this is no??t the end ??of Agent 47.

"As we talked about before, it's synonymous with IO, it's a very beloved franchise of ours and, of course, Hitman will continue," said Abrak. "Agent 47, maybe, is going to take a bit of a rest, but that doesn't mean we're not worki?ng on some cool, cool stuff with the World of Assassination. So there's definitely activity coming and I'm looking forw?ard to talking about that sometime in the future."

IO Interactive, meanwhile, is gearing up for its next game set in the world of a very different international operative: 007. Project 007 will see IO take on the classic Bond franchise, and hopefully see some of that Hitman ch??arm and physical comedy sneak its way into the world of internati?onal espionage and shaken martinis.

Welcome to the starter kit, Agent 47

If you've been holding off on playing the latest Hitman, this week might be a good opportunity to test the waters. Hitman 3 is getting a free starter pack, which includes two locations and a time-limited trial of Hitman 3's first major locale, Dubai.

The Hitman 3: Free Starter Pack includes the ICA Facility and Hawke's Bay, the tutorial levels from Hitman (2016) and Hitman 2. Dubai, the first location of Hitman 3, will also be available in the starter pack from March 30 through April 5. In a blog post, IO says it will also? be releasing more free content to the pack for a li??mited time in the future.

Hitman 3 launched earlier this year as the conclusion to IO Interactive's rebooted Hitman trilogy. It was fittingly filled with plenty of global intrigue and goofy assassinations, and was quite the send-off for Agent 47.

Though it has had some level transfer troubles on PC, most of the wrinkles seem to have been ironed out between the platforms. It's worth doing so too, because as engaging as Hitman 3 was, the previous two games' levels still stand tall. Locales like Sapienza, Paris, and Mumbai still st?ick out to me.

If you haven't tried these games out, they're absolutely worth a shot, especially as IO Interactive looks to be pivoting into its upcoming 007 game. There are a lot of little joys in life, but few can compar??e to the ridiculous ways in which Agent 47 can dispatch with his targets. Never miss a chance to drop that moose on someone.

Version 3.11 is the 'first major patch' and it's extensive

As the "first major patch" since launch, today's 3.11 update for Hitman 3 has a slew of additions and changes to pore over, including the newly-unlockable Tactical Turtleneck (look for "The Final Test" in the ICA Facility), new items in two Deluxe Escalations (Proloff Parable and Gauchito Antiquity), HUD improvements for trespassing and Silent Assassin(ating), and a bunch of location-specific upgrades.

Reading over the lengthy patch notes, you get the sense that Hitman 3, on the whole, will be a smoother experience. The kinks are very much being worked out, particularly with certain bugged trophies, achievements, and in-g?ame challenges, a??s well as spots where Agent 47 can get stuck.

The update also improves the packed-in PlayStation VR version of Hitman 3. The biggie: you can turn off the "safe area" blue grid if you find it too distracting, though the developers "strongly recommend that players keep it toggled on and instead adjust their hardware and physical position wh??ere possible."

One interesting wrinkle: the Druzhina 34 ICA sniper rifle's Shockwave and Wall-Piercing perks were "never intended to be available outside of the Sniper maps," and that loophole has?? since been fixed.

On top of everything else, 3.11 sets the stage for "the continued release?? of new content in the coming weeks and months." This game is sticking around for a l??ong time, not that we needed any assurances.

That said, there's a lot more work ahead just on the patching front. Players are reporting ongoing issues with the music abruptly cutting out in the PS5 version of Hitman 3, among other persistent problems that'll need to be stamped out later. Some common known issues: the Requi?em Pack is inaccessible, HDR isn't "optimal" for everyone, and people want to be able to change the shoulder cam.

I'm no??t in an??y particular rush to play this obsessively yet. I can wait. (I think.)

Location importing now works as it originally should have

You don't need to rebuy Hitman 1 or Hitman 2 to bring their levels into Hitman 3 on PC.

From the outside looking in, that should be a no-brainer with the (mostly generous!) way IO has handled its modern Hitman trilogy so far, but a last-minute switcheroo in mid-January meant that PC players weren't going to be able to freely bring their content forward by verifying their Steam purchases of Hitman 1 or 2 to unlock corresponding stages in the Epic Games Store-exclusive Hitman 3.

Fans were rightfully put off by the situation, and IO said it would reverse course. Now it has.

Hitman 3 players can head over to this support page to read about – and begin – the Hitman 1 and 2 location-importing process. Using an IOI Account, you'll be able to claim the Hitman 1 and/or Hitman 2 Access Pass DLC if you own those games, and then it's just a matter of launching Hitman 3. That said, IO warns to "double-check all yo??ur choices before claiming conte?nt. They cannot be undone or reversed."

If any of this unpleasantness was holding you back from getting into Hitman 3 on PC, it's time to hunt.

Take a day off, mate

Hitman 3 appears to have had the same impact for the long-running stealth franchise as Yakuza 0 had for the adventures of Kiryu Kazuma. While the Hitman series has always been popular, a quick look on social media implies that IO Interactive's newest sequel has brought a flurry of wannabe sharpshooters into the World of? Assassination.

And already the Danish developer is offering players new content for the sequel. Yesterday saw the r??eturn of Escalation Contracts - essen??tially new missions and marks to eliminate in already established locations. The first contract sees Agent 47 return to Thornbridge Manor in order to stage a series of unhappy accidents.

February 11 will add a new Featured Contract - produced in association with YouTube series MinnMax (me neither). February 18 adds a throwing knife-exclusive Escalation, while on F??ebruary 23 Deluxe Edition owners can enjoy a special premium Escalation, The Proloff Parable, which sees "The White Shadow" pick their way through a snow-covered train as it ruses through the Carpathian Mountains.

It's not over, as February 23 sees the arrival of another Escalation, The Gauchito Antiquity, which sees 47 don the gear of The Guru for a spot of poison-pen action. A Kinda Funny-sponsored Featured Contract sees the action return to Dartmoor once again, while Hitman 3??'s first Elusive Target will be visiting Sapienza between February 26 and March 8 - so maybe take a detour to?? track down this limited-time target.

That'?s a lot of work for our ?boy, 47, and it's only the first month! Better stock up on piano wire.

Agent 47 back with a bang

They say you can't keep a good man down - turns out that goes for relatively amoral men too. Agent 47 has stealthily crept his way into the top spot of the UK Charts, thanks to the release of IO Interactive's excellent sequel, Hitman 3, physically published by Square Enix.

As reported by GamesIndustry.biz, the eighth (just go with it) mainline entry in the long-running murderthon, Hitman 3 was the biggest-selling physical release in the UK last week, with the PS5 platform accounting for almost half of all sales. Speaking of PS5, Sony Interactive Entertainment's pseudo-sequel Spider-Man: Miles Morales also made a return to the Top Ten, web-slinging in at number four, while Demon's Souls made its return to the Top 40 at number 27.

Aside from these two releases, it was mostly business as usual. Nintendo's Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe occupy slots two and three respectively, while additional Switch releases, Ring Fit Adventure, Just Dance 2021, and Minecraft, nestle at the back half of the Top 10. The bro-tastic FIFA 21, Grand Theft Auto V, and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War all continue to see steady week-on-week sales.

Eight seconds

Look, Hitman speedrunning pretty much always ruled.

There's something so liberating about playing through a Htiman game as fast as you can, with no restrictions, including those that are self-imposed outside of the game: otherwise known as an "any percentage" run. The game is...pretty much built for that on the ground up! But that doesn't make these new Hitman 3 speedruns any less impressive.

The race has been on this past week, as folks have been clearing the first Hitman 3 mission (Dubai - On Top of the World) in less than 10 seconds. In fact, for several days, the world record was nine seconds. Today, someone in Sweden claims to have c?leared i??t in eight. It's just a one-second margin: but the race is heating up!

Before folks started to hit these types of shenanigans, players?? were running at around the 2:20 clear mark.

Other stages are more aroun??d 30 sec??onds or more for an any-percentage clear at the moment, with the caveat of starting in specific places (like closer to a target) with certain tools.

Welcome to 2021

Man I'm glad that IO Interactive was able to bail from a potential destruction of their studio with a buyout. It was really touch and go there for a bit, but they did it, and Hitman (among a few other IPs) came along for the ride.

It would have been a damn shame if Hitman 3 never came to fruition, because it feels like the culmination of everything the recent trilog??y has achieved so far.

What a way to open a game!

Dubai was the first thing that was shown for Hitman 3, and for good reason: it looks fantastic, and giant skyscrapers are a perfect way to highlight some of the Etha?n Hunt/James Bond tendencies of the ever-shifting chameleon that is Agent 47.

Although it feels a tad restrictive at first as only a few floors are accessible in this gargantuan tower, the aesthetic choices start to flow into deliberate design concepts; as you explore more a??nd more of what Dubai has to offer. Backstage access, elaborate mezzanines; this is a flashy stage and it wants you to know it at all times.

It's also very well paced. Those geographical restrictions I mentione??d? They open up over time as you complete each playthrough of Dubai, but also help acclimate brand new players on a semi-guided, but definitely not linear first hunt. It also gives t?he rest of the game plenty of room to breathe going forward.

IO Interactive was already good at this: but they'?re getting bett??er.

Dartmoor, United Kingdom

Donning his best Sherlock cap (or Benoit Blanc/Hercule Poirot out??fit), Agent 47 is whisked away to the dr??eary countryside of Dartmoor for a murder mystery affair. Egad!

Once again, IO Interactive nails it here. They've gone directly from a bright and larger-than-life Dubai skyscraper to a down-to-earth, but still out-there concept.?? It goes to show you that the studio is not resting on their laurels, or saving the best for last. They're willing to provide worthwhile scenarios at a regular pace, and Dartmoor is one of my favorites of the bunch.

While I'm going to refrain from spoiling anything her??e (and there's a lot to spoil), Dartmoor is easily one of the best cases for IO Interactive's penchant for environmental storytelling. There's so much to disc?over and glean here in this mansion journey, from the inner workings of familial lore to the tale of the house itself.

??I found myself ??going back to this one immediately after clearing it.

Berlin, Germany

At this point the stakes get a little higher, story-wise?, and the tension is ramping up. ??It colors the significance of Berlin within the confines of the campaign.

This one is a little more lawless. There's multiple factions at play (security, agents, bikers, civilians) and they're all kind of scrunched together to create a chaotic, more intimate map. And not every Hitman map needs to be bright! Even if those are among my favorites (Miami immediately comes to mind from Hitman 2 - something I played in Hitman 3? again actually, as the package allows yo?u to select previously owned games).

It's probably the least flashy bit of Hitman 3, but again, the narrative significance of it adds to the heigh??tened severity of it. It fits.

Chongqing, China

Ah, neon. Be?rlin had so?me, but not nearly enough. Chongqing fixes that.

With the setup of "2.5 million cameras" watching your every move, Chongqing hits that theme fantasy right away of whisking you away to a unique land; but also comes in swinging with a variety of locations to explore that keep things fresh, even on that first run. A giant underground bunker is a classic Hitman fixture, housed below a semi-bustling city that has mo?re than enough nuances to justify replays.

It's a keeper.

Mendoza, Argentina

At this point the story is winding down, but it still isn't completely in the way. Despite the enhanced focus on Agent 47 and the people who surrou??nd him, the objectives mostly remain the same. It's a positive in my mind, because the formula still works best when it plays up its sandboxes first and foremost.

I intimated? the James Bond references earlier, but this is 47 at his most 007. Mendoza's wine country is a classy affair, a far cry from the rainy streets of Chongqing, or even the shiny artifice of Mumbai. No, this is more of an idyllic, rural take: a level befitting of the penultimate stage.

It might be a bit on the small side as far as substantial zones go, but it's ??one of?? the most memorable, visually.

Carpathian Mountains, Romania

It's really hard to talk about this one without spoiling it (I'm sure someone will), but it's enrobed in story bits and does feel like a proper trilogy finale. It's also? the most l??inear stage of the bunch, so just be ready for that.

If you muck about in each map and take things slowly, you can allot about an hour a level to clear the game: so roughly six hours in all. But Hitman is predicated on replay value, and Hitman 3 nudges things even further down that path.?? Shortcuts are probably the biggest draw, which alter each sandbox to make them a little more accessible.

Basically, if you lower a specially marked ladder or some other device, you can access that shortcut on future playthroughs. It's very subtle; but it's a welcome change as it ensures that you can explore the sandbox the way you want to each time. I would refrain from using the phrase "guided," but the first run is definitely angled in such a way to make it feel more cinematic in nature. With shortcuts, branching paths allow you ?to see the entirety of the design in all its splendor. This is on top of the existing "starting locations" system, mind.

Coupled with extra gadgets (some of ??which can be imported - though not as swimmi??ngly on PC), Hitman 3 is really fun to dive back into; or introduce someone to for that matter, just to see what they come up with. It's the little things that add up and really make Hitman 3 special.

Hats off to IO Interactive for really sticking with thi?s series and getting it right.

The transfer process just got a whole lot more complicated

[Update: After outcry from Hitman fans over the level importing process, IO Interactive says that it is "continuing to work on a solution with our partners to allow PC players who own Hitman 1 or Hitman 2 to import locations from those games into Hitman 3 at no additional cost." The developers "guarantee that players will NOT need to repurchase the games," but a specific timetable?? wasn't given.

A separate tweet from the Epic Games Store indicated that Epic is "working closely with IO Interactive and you will be able to access past content from earlier Hitman games."]

IO Interactive shared a huge pre-launch guide for Hitman 3 today, and if you're planning to get the game on any platform – whether it's next week at launch or months later – the article is worth reading to see how your Hitman 1 and 2 progress and unlocks will carry over. If you own the prior games on Steam, you definitely need to take a look. There are some re??grettable new content ownership caveats.

It's difficult to neatly sum up the entire situation, but long ?story short:

• You can move your Hitman 2 progression – "XP rank, location mastery levels, location mastery unlocks, challenge progress, challenge unlocks, and Elusive Target suits/unlocks" – into Hitman 3 using an IOI Account in a web browser (rather than in-game). It's a one-time move, and it's strictly platform-dependent. For instance, PlayStation to PlayStation, Xbox to Xbox, and Steam to the Epic Games Store.

• Save files won't carry over to Hitman 3, and the ICA Electrocution Phone is "retired."

• There's a different process for importing Hitman 1 and 2 levels into Hitman 3, and this is where things get messy. On PlayStation or Xbox, it mostly works like you'd expect: if you already own Hitman 1 or 2 content, you can download the corresponding Hitman 1 or 2 Access Pack for free in Hitman 3 to play everything you own in the new hub.

• On PC, it's worse – you can't simply verify that you own Hitman 1 or 2 on Steam to unlock those levels in the Epic Store-exclusive Hitman 3 as players had come to expect.

• To get the Hitman 1 levels in Hitman 3 on PC, you'll need to own the Epic Store version of Hitman 1 – or claim the Hitman 1 GOTY Access Pass while it's free to Hitman 3 owners during the "first 10 days after launch." To get the Hitman 2 levels, you'll need to buy the relevant Access Pass, which "will be 80% off for 14 days after the launch of Hitman 3 on Epic Games Store and will continue to be discounted regularly."

The Access Passes aren't listed in the Epic Game Stores yet, so we're not sure how much the??y'll typically cost, and IO says its PC import plans changed "due to various circumstances out of our control."

The timing of this news is arguably the worst part. Long-time fans still would've been upset about the rough hand they've been dealt here, but at least people, in general, could've prepared better. I feel bad for anyone who just picked up Hitman 1 or 2 in a Steam sale in preparation for Hitman 3. Bummer.
