Preorders have opened at Target for the Microsoft Xbox 360 Col??lector MEGA Building Set.

The Xbox 360 Mega Building Kit is 1342 pieces that assemble into a 3:4 scale model of the launch model of Microsoft’s 2005 console. I was there when?? the Xbox 360 launched. It was a pretty exciting time when it came about. Then, the hardware issues started happening. This was commonly known as the “Red Ring of Death,�??named because of the error code that was displayed on the light ring around the power button.

The issue was caused by components heating up then cooling off quickly, which would cause connectors within them to break. It apparently wasn’t caused specifically by the console reaching a high heat, but rather the rapid cooling afterward. Uh, wait. What were we talking about? B??locks?

The Xbox 360 Mega Building Kit has you construct the console itself, a controller, and a disc case for Halo 3. It even comes with a detachable ?hard drive. Isn’t that cute?

It’s interesting that this isn’t being done by Lego. No disrespect to Mega Bloks, but it’s hard to beat the prestige of the Lego brand. Nintendo had their NES immortalized, and Atari brought around a 2600 set.

In an interesting, but somewhat unnerving, piece of merchandising, Konami has announced that it will be teaming with make-up, erm, maker Vampyre Cosmetics in order to produce a line of cosmetic products based upon the Drop Dead Gorgeous world of *checks notes* Silent Hill.

While absolutely no images or even hints were offered up as to what the line of items will include, the comical nature of a Silent Hill cosmetics line writes itself, given the series drab, grim, and disgusting look. Are you expecting a palette of rusted metals, fog greys, and rotted flesh reds? I kid, of course, but it will genuinely be interesting to see how the grisly, depressing world of Silent Hill is r?eproduced in a beauty line. Vampyre Cosmetics, as the name suggests, is pretty sharp at adapting the darker side of make-up, so I'm looking forward to seeing what is eventually produced.

This is, of course, a pretty big year for the missing-in-action survival horror franchise. As revealed during the Fall 2022 Silent Hill Transmission stream, there are currently multiple projects in production at Konami, including Christophe Gans�live-action movie Return to Silent Hill, streaming series Silent Hill: Ascension, Annapurna spin-off Silent Hill: Townfall and, of course, Bloober Team's incoming remake of 2001 classic Silent Hill 2. So you can paint y?ourself up in the new line of Vampyre Cosmetics, and per?haps, if your make-up skills match mine, you can be the scariest thing in town.

Premium merchandise makers First 4 Figures have opened pre-orders on two princely statues, depicting the likenesses of the iconic knights Siegward of Catarina and Siegmeyer of Catarina, as featured in FromSoftware's acclaimed fantasy adventure Dark Souls 3.

Cast in resin and standing a little over eight inches in height, the two statues feature stylized, chibi takes on the Catarinian nobles, known to players as the "Onion Knights" due to their bulbous helmets. The two statues see Siegward and Siegmeyer in personality-??reflective poses, and feature fine detailing to their armor and bases, with atmospheric elements of dirt, grime, and battle damage.

Dig out your best crowd-fighting paraphernalia, as The Pokemon Company has announced that its staggeringly popular Poke??????????????????????????mon Center London is returning to the British capital next week �From April 14-16, 2023, fans of the cuddly critters will have to opportunity to bag themselves exclusive merchandise, from clothing to plush toys, available only at the "pop-up" retailer.

The Pokemon Center London has appeared twice before within the city's walls, firstly during the fall of 2019, where poor planning and understated demand saw fans queuing for up to five hours daily to bag themselves shirts, hats, bags and, the centerpiece of the store, a plush doll of Pikachu dressed up as a Little City Gent. Following a postponement in 2020, (amidst the burgeoning COVID-19 pandemic), the pop-up store eventually returned in the summer of 2022, running alongside the ??Pokemon World Championships.

If you fancy making the trip to next week's opening, then you'll need to book yourself a timeslot over on the store's official website. This virtual queuing system hopes to eliminate the chaos of the 2019 event, though it should still be noted that merchandise will likely be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, with the more e??xclusive items selling out in double-quick time. You can just turn up on the store's opening days without warning, but you might find that you have to hang around for a little while before giving appropriate entry.

The Pokemon Center London is located at ExCeL Lon???don arena, and will be open from April 14 to April 16.

Merch-maker Numskull has announced the next statue in the company's Silent Hill range �And second in the lineup of nightmarish creatures and dream warriors comes a particular fan favorite, in the form of Silent Hill 3 protagonist Heather Mason.

The tortured and traumatized young hero �forced to step up and face her fears and her own destiny when trouble comes a'callin �is the latest release in Numskull's burgeoning range based on the skin-crawling Konami franchise. The PVC statue, which stands around 10 inches tall, depicts Ms. Mason in her classic casual clothing, packing heat and dramatically wiping a cut on her delicate face. Heather's base features a visual motif stylized after the Happy-go-Doomy locale of Lakeside Amusement Park, and is complete with an appearance by its c??reepy mascot, Robbie the Rabbit.

Heather will make for a wonderful companion to Numskull's previously released Bubble Head Nurse statue, as dedicated Silent Hill fans slowly turn their lounge mantle into a menagerie of nightmares. The LEGO Super Mario range, which launched in the summer of 2020, has consisted of multiple sets and showpieces featuring the characters and worlds of Nintendo's best-selling series. For the more dedicated collector, LEGO has released prestige (and pricey) kits of the Super Mario 64 Question Block, Bowser's Airship, and The Mighty Bowser himself.

Here's a delightfully nostalgic piece of memorabilia �Capcom has partnered with merchandise maker Big Shots to produce a series of rough 'n' tumble plush toys based on some of the World Warriors of its iconic fighting game series, Street Fighter.

The initial Street Fighter Big Shots line features eternal rivals Ryu and Ken, as well as the All-American Guile, and the Brazilian beast Blanka. Each Big Shot is packed with premium ?polyester filling and printed on soft velvet polyester cover. Each character is available in two sizes �22" x 19" or 16" x 14" �and weighs 1.5 lbs or 16 ounces, respectively. Either way, they're built to take a kicking, so you can practice your Shoryukens until the cows come home.

Of course, fans of a certain age will no doubt be instantly reminded of the massively popular WWF Wrestling Buddies of the late '80s, which saw similar toy??s made of stars such as Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, and?? "The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase. I personally never had one myself, but I remember them being around in abundance.

Trendy Japanese label SuperGroupies has teamed up with publisher Arc System Works to release a new line of apparel based on slick 'n' sexy fighter Guilty Gear Strive. The Guilty Gear gear is availab?le to pre-order now ahead of its eventual release in the summer an??d fall seasons.

Regarding apparel, SuperGroupies has unveiled a slick model jacket, based on GG Strive poster boy Sol Badguy. The slim-fitting jacket (available in sizes M - XXL) is outfitted in black and red and is subtly embroidered with Sol's insignia. The front pocket features the phrase "Fight Fire with Fire" and the jacket is labeled as if designed by "RIOT" �the top fashion label within the Guilty Gear uni??verse. The Sol Badguy Model Jacket retails for $220 USD and is expected to ship in late-July.

In addition to the jacket, a selection of four backpacks and tote bags are also available to pre-order, based on characters Sol Badguy, Ky Kiske, Ramlethal Valentine, and May. Each bag features a design unique to each character, along with instantly identifiable color schemes for the knuckle-dusting heroes. Ky Kiske's example is a hand-held tote bag, while Ram, May, and Sol each get back??packs. The bags retail for ?$170 each, and all four are expected to launch in August.

Rounding out the collection is a fine collection of wristwatches, once again representing Sol Badguy, Ky Kiske, Ramlethal Valentine, and May. I'm heartbroken that there isn'?t one for my main squeeze Testament, but they're all pretty stylish. Each watch retails for $220 and is expected to ship in September.

The sweet demon stands a little over six inches in height, and is sporting the trademark poseability that is a key feature of all Figma models. This allows the Maiden in Black to be p?osed in a variety of demure and evocative stances, bringing a sense of morose disquiet to anybody's bookshelf or work desk. The maiden comes packaged with a selection of alternate hands, as well as her huge, path-lighting torch. Massive sneaks not included

PRIX, the artsy clothing company owned by influential NZ designer Esther Ng, has produced a line of clothing replicating the super-iconic "Player 2" look sported by King in Tekken 3 �Quite unde?rstandably, the line sold out almost immediately, because why wouldn't it?

The famous fit �first sported by the mysterious grappler King II in Tekken's highly acclaimed second sequel �consists of a pair of blue/grey and leopard print track pants, and a matching blue/grey shirt, emblazoned with the declaration "Mishima Zaibatsu EVIL". King rounds off the look with a similarly colored variant of his Jaguar mask and a massive pair of white running shoes. Over the following years, the look has become something of a meme icon among the Tekken community.

Yesterday, PRIX launched replica designs of both the track pants and the shirt, both priced at $70. A form-fitting, long sleeve variant of the shirt was also available at $60. Of course, there was a wild rush on these fashion-forward items, resulting in a total sell-out of the pants, while most of the shirt inventory was also cleared out double-quick time. There is currently a waiting list available on site for al?l those hoping to jump on any possible re-stocks.

In addition to the King gear, PRIX also released a line of T-shirts featuring renders of characters from Tekken 3. Again, these items are mostly long gone, with only Extra Small-to-Small sizes still available at the time of writing. You can check out the entire range over on the PRIX website.

Tonic masters GameFlavor have teamed up with Capcom to produce a limited edition box of drinks stylized after the famous "First Aid Spray" health items from survival horror series Resident Evil. The Resident Evil First Aid Drink Collector's Box is available to pre-order now from the GameFlavor website.

According to the press release, the box contains 10 x 330ml First Aid Spray Cans, each containing a uniquely flavored drink based upon the herby nature of the Resi series. Also included are four "Ink Ribbon" cases, filled with a distinctly blended spice mix, as well as a pseudo spray cap for the can, and a list of cocktail recipes. Each set ??is housed in a replica "Storage Crate", individually numbered to one of 4,750 available sets.

As you might have guessed from its extremely limited nature, the Resident Evil First Aid Drink Collector's Box does not come cheap, and will retail for a princely �99.90, (or roughly $210). Not a typo. At that price, I'm assuming that the drink has the exact same magical restoration properties of its video game counterpart, but that's probably pretty unlikely. Still, if you're an ultra die-hard Resident Evil fan, or you simply like crazily expensive "on trend" drinks �I hear that's a thing for The Kids these days �then you can pre-order your own set right now from the official GameFlavor website.

Damn, it looks like the era of BRIDGET is set to continue �Not only has the Guilty Gear star made her GG Strive debut, appeared in some fun fan projects, AND received her own, real-life Bullet Yo-Yo, but merch maker Spiritale has now revealed a prototype wicked-look?ing figurine, currently in production.

The prototype captures Brisket in all of he??r glory, posed exactly as she is in her Guilty Gear Strive splash art. Rocking her big ol' shoes �Bullet Yo-Yo in one hand and haunted companion Roger in the either, our girl looks set and ready to embark upon her next Bridgetquest. The fixed-pose figurine looks very similar in quality and design to Kotobukiya's "Bishoujo" range, ??though Bridget is also sporting a nicely detailed base as she comes kick-kicking her way into the next battle.

Unfortunately, Spiratale has not revealed a price nor a release w??indow for the Bridget figurine. For whatever it's wor??th, Spiratale's typical character figurines tend to stand at a 1/7 scale and usually run around the $200-$300 dollar mark. So the more hardcore fans among you might have to start saving up the pennies. To be clear, this price is pure speculation on my part, merely based on the company's previous releases. We'll be sure to give you a heads-up when Bridget is ready for pre-order.

It's a real-life Fishbones!

Jinx was already one of the most well-loved and recognizable characters on the League of Legends roster, but after the release of Netflix's Arcane, her popularity has launched into the stratosphere. That kind of mainstream recognition usually means there are some awesome collabs on the way, which is definitely true in this case. This time around, Riot teamed up with Nerf to create a life-sized replica of Jinx's classic blaster known as Fishbones, which was also featured in Arcane, as fans will remember.

Jinx's Fishbones is available for pre-order now (pre-orders close January 1, 2023, and will be shipping on December 31, 2022. The gun is a gargantuan 35 inches long, and features jaws that open and close as you shoot. It holds 18 total darts, shooting out a three round burst every time you pull the trigger. The prestige Japanese clothing company Edwin revealed a new line of apparel based upon Bandai Namco's smash-hit RPG Elden Ring �As spotted by Siliconera, the Elden Ring x Edwin line will be made available to pre-order from the denim enthusiast's official website this month, ?and is perfect for battling those winter winds (and giant hands).

First and foremost is ??this unique hooded cloak, stylized after that ??worn by Elden Ring's top Kindling Maiden, Melina. The design features a wide hood and an expanding bell shape, so you'll strike quite the figure walking down the high street as a big goth triangle. The cloak buttons up at the front and features the insignia of The Golden Order emblazoned on the back. It's a very outlandish piece, but I really dig it.

The hooded cloak/jacket retails for ¥21,780 (roughly $150 USD) and can be ordered right here.

The second item in the Elden Ring x Edwin collection is a long sleeve denim shirt, which sports a more traditional-looking design for those of you who might not wish to be approached for side-quests. The shirt is manufactured in the same trademark Edwin denim, and also features the insignia of The Golden Order. I'm not sure about denim shirts personally, (they sort of make?? my skin crawl), but for non-wierdos, this is a pretty stylish bit of apparel.

The denim shirt retails for ¥10,780 (roughly $75 USD) and can be ordered right here. Obviously, both prices do not include shipping or any potential customs charges, but Edwin does serve multiple internati?onal outlets, so fans outside of Japan can bag themselves this exclusive merchandise. In what might be perhaps the single most niche emporium ever established, Japan will be getting a "pop-up shop" entirely devoted to the cult franchise Clock Tower. Situated in "The Akihabara Container" in Tokyo, the store will offer up a variety of exclusive goodies pertaining to the Gothic surviv??al h?orror series.

The Clock Tower faithful can visit the location from November 3, rolling out fistfuls of Yen in order to bag merchandise based upon the original Clock Tower (1995) and its sequel Clock Tower 2: The Struggle Within (1998). Up for grabs will be mugs, keychains, wall scrolls, clothing apparel, standees, posters, and more, with the?? piece de resistance being an old-school alarm clock that plays the game's ?title theme!

The Clock Tower series combines classic point-and-click gameplay with the survival horror tropes of the mid-'90s, as protagonists pick their way through creepy locations in an effort to stay one step ahead of the terrifying killer "Scissorman". Inspired by Dario Argento's bug-filled 1985 flick, Phenomena, the Clock Tower games are praised for their mood, classic visuals, and unnerving atmosphere, but the series as a whole has always been hampered by s??low, and in some cases archaic, gameplay mechanics. Regardless, they have found their own dedicated following �as all horror franchises tend to do.

Regardless, it's incredibly quirky to see an entire store devoted to its presence, and I'm sure fans will make sure they grab a hold of as many goodies as possible before the doors close for good at the end of the month. The Clock Tower?? store is situated in T?he Akihabara Container in Tokyo, Japan, and will operate from November 3 �November 29.

Not content with offering some super cool merchandise from indie smash Hades, Fangamer has lifted the lid on its latest collection of physical goodies, which are all based upon Finji's awesome fantasy adventure game, Tunic.

Tunic fans can visit the Fangamer store today to pick up this very cheerful shirt, emblazoned with new artwork of our foxy hero and their myriad enemies.  Designed by artist Jorge M. Velez, the new shirt comes in women's and unisex styles, and features a suitable "leafy-green" color palette. Last, and by no means least, Fangamer has worked with designer Saber Murphy to create this absolutely adorable plush toy of our brave hero. Literally described as a "Huggable Fox Plush", the soft toy comes complete with sword and shield and brings one of gaming's dinkiest but most loveable heroes to light in squeezable glory. Having previously purchased plush toys from the Fangamer range, I've been very impressed with their quality, and this little dude will be a must-buy for the Tunic faithful.

A price and release date for the plush was not revealed, but you can sign up for notification right now. Be sure to visit the Fangamer of your nearest territory, be it the North American, or European version.

We are only a few short weeks away from the return of an icon, as Sonic Frontiers prepares for its November debut on PlayStation, PC, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms �And while fans wait for The Blue Blur t?o return, Sega hopes to perform some importan??t scene-setting via a narrative prologue, to be delivered in both comic-book and animation form.

As revealed on the official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter, Sega is preparing to drop a two-part digital comic, that will offer up a little backstory on the events that preceded Sonic finding himself isolated in a strange, eerie, and monolithic new world.  Sonic the Hedgehog: Convergence is written by frequent Sonic scribe Ian Flyn??n �with characterful artwork by Evan Stanley & Heather Breckel �and will no doubt provide suitable reading to get series' fans hype fires burning brightly before the game's big launch.

While no further information was offered, Sega did announce that an animated short is also in the works, which will again help lay the groundwork for the new adventure.  Sega has utilized animation frequently in its marketing of Sonic the Hedgehog titles.  And usually to very good effect, as the world of Sonic and his anthro pals always lends itself very well to the medium of animation �perhaps better than any other gaming franchise.  We'll be sure to give you a heads-up when the Sonic Frontiers comic and animated short are available.

Those of you who were big into the merchandising angle of Blizzard Entertainment's Overwatch will likely remember, (or perhaps even own) some of the excellent statues that were released, depicting heroes such as Tracer, Widowmaker, Mercy, and Dva in fine form at a relatively reasonable price �Well, the statues are seemingly returned, although the "relatively reasonable price" part may not b??e.

Following this week's launch of flashy sequel Overwatch 2, Blizzard has opened pre-orders on a brand new statue of perhaps OW's noblest and most steel-hearted of heroes, the ??mighty Reinhardt. This very impressive centerpiece is sculpted o?f PVC and polyresin and stands a huge 25 inches in height, showcasing the shining knight one step away from launching his devastating ult: Earthshatter.

This hand-painted specimen features exquisite detail, perfectly recreating Reinhardt's battle armor and expertly capturing the hero in an extremely dynamic pose. While all of the Overwatch statues have been impressive, Reinh??ardt's intricate design, strong posture, and base detail seem to be setting the tone for a new wave of ??statues, ones that will see the heroes "mid-match" rather than standing at rest.

Of course, all of this size and detail comes at a price, and Reinhardt is a doozy. Now available to pre-order over at the official Blizzard Gear store, ??Reinhardt will set you back $1,100 USD (not includin?g shipping or any potential customs costs). There does not appear to be any sort of installment plan ala most statue sellers, so you may have to drop the four figures in one lump sum come launch day. Reinhardt is tentatively expected to release in November... You still have a couple of weeks to save up..?

Bandai Namco is the latest developer/publisher to announce the formation of its own in-house music label. Emanating o??ut of its European offices, the amusingly titled "Bandai Namco Game Music Label" will publish soundtracks of the studio's games i??n a physical and digital capacity.

"Since the first video games and all throughou??t the history of the industry, music has always been a core component of the gaming experience," said the studio in a press statement. "Music made the games�memories last longer and followed the players into their daily lives with amazing soundtracks to go back to and relive the stories they played."

"We strive to delig?ht our fans with more than just games, so we decided to ??bring video game music to as many listeners as possible, with the release of two digital albums of game background music."

The first two releases from the label are the soundtrack to the smash-selling RPG Elden Ring, which launched digitally earlier this month, and Motoi Sakuraba's soundtrack to anime adventure title Tales of Arise, which launches today. Both records can be purchased via several music streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, and the iTunes Store, amon??g others. The Bandai Namco Game Music Label intends ?to build upon this catalog of memorable and evocative scores.

Most recently, French publisher Microids also announced the formation of ?its own record label. You can read all about it in our previous article right here.

Iconic sportswear retailer Reebok is teaming with Capcom to produce a brand new range of footwear based upon the latter's legendary fighting franchise, Street Fighter. The new Reebox x Capcom collection was revealed by Reebok Taiwan, and unfortunately may be exc??lusive to that territory.

The new range of sneakers is styled after some of the franchise's most legendary World Warriors, including Ryu, Chun-Li, Dhalsim, M. Bison, and dopey edgelord Akuma. As far as licensed sneakers go, they're actually pretty slick, with the super clean Ryu and Chun kicks looking crisp, while the brown and gold Dhalsim edition also shines. In addition to the sneaker ra??nge, Reebok will also be offering up some basic apparel, including T-shirts, a pair of flip-flops, (or "slides" as y'all call them), and some casual track pants. Again, it seems that this entire range might be exclusive to Taiwan, so die-hard sneaker collectors will, unfortunately, have to go the import route if they wish to get their hands... erm... feets, on the cool-looking shoes.

This Reebok line is, of course, not the first time that Street Fighter and shoewear have collaborated. Previously, Capcom has teamed with Vans, Nike, Onitsuka Tiger, Converse, and many other apparel retailers to produce shoes and clothing based on its stell??ar series. Given the enduring nature of the franchise and its legendary characters, it seems to be a partnership set to run and run.

Publisher Microids, perhaps best known for?? its love of classic gaming franchises and media IPs, has announced that it is launching its own music label, Microids Records. The new in-house venture will focus on releasing soundtracks from the French publisher's litany of PC and console games.

"Microids Records and the new Entertainment Division are testaments of Microids�willingness to develop the company’s brands and contents wider than the video game medium," said Microids'?? VP of entertainment, Frédéric Claquin. "Being able to launch this label with two original scores signed by Inon Zur is a blessing and a true honour, especially as we celebrate the Syberia series' 20th anniversary."

As noted in the above statement, the first two releases from the label will be Inon Zur's dramatic scores to adventure titles Syberia 2 (2004) and Syberia 3 (2017). Going forward, fans can expect further releases from the ??new label, which has been formed as part of Microids' ongoing desire to increase its merchandising output beyond the realm of the physical video games? themselves.

"This music label launch is a major milestone for Microids�adds company CEO Stéphane Longeard. "We have always had at heart to offer music scores enhancing the games we are creating and paying tribute to our great IPS, collaborating with renown artists li?ke Inon Zur for instance. We are fully aware about the importance of a great musical atmosphere for players, and we cannot wait to share what will be released next under the Microids Records label!"

Microids' next release, Asterix & Obelix XXXL: The Ram From Hibernia, will launch on October 13.

Merchandising mayhem will reig??n in just a few short days from now, as The Pokémon Company opens the doors of the wildly ??popular retail outlet The Pokemon Center London. In hopes of avoiding the utter chaos of 2019's event, the outlet has now opened its timeslot reservation service for interested parties.

If you are looking to visit The Pokémon Center London next week, then head on over to the reservation website right now and book your attendance slot. You'll need to know what day and time you will arrive, as well as how many people will be in your group. This somewhat strict system is a necessity, given that the previous pop-up store appearance drew daily queues of over five hours, with over 30,000 customers walking the floor in a mere five days.

The new Pokémon Center London is being established in conjunction with the Pokémon World Championships, which are being held at London's ExCel Centre between August 17-21. The store will feature a bonanza of Pokémon toys, accessories, and associated junk, along with photo opportunities and special themed areas. For this year's event, the center exclusives are cute plushies of Pikachu and Roserade in Beefeater outfits, (the official uniforms of the guards at the Tower of London). These toys will, uns??urprisingly, sell in double-quick time, so move fast.

If you want to just turn up on the day, that's fine too, as you will be assigned a slot in a virtual queuing system. But, given the popularity of the store, the merch on offer, and the fact that all of the hardcore P?okeheads will be in town for the tournament, it is best advised that you pre-book your reservation today.

If you ever wanted to give off the lascivious odor of the pack of fucking maniacs that make up the Guilty Gear Strive roster, then fragrance company Fairytail Parfum has you covered,? from head to toe, in fact.

The cologne and perfume company has released a new line of eau de parfum products based upon the sexy, sexy stars of the Arc System Works fighter. The range launches with four specific chara??cters: the regal and handsome Ky Kiske, the mysterious world-eater Ramlethal Valentine, super-cute Halloweenie Jack-O Valentine, and hard-edged merc Sol Badguy, ??who looks like he hasn't seen a shower in a year.

While the men's fragrances are seeing a relaunch, (now in larger 50ml bottles) the two ladies are seeing their respective debuts in the world of fragrance. The Pokémon Company has announced that its "pop-up" retail outlet The Pokémon Center will be returning to London next mont?h, offering UK visitors the? opportunity to once again roll out the dough for a gaggle of exclusive, limited-time merchandise themed around the popular gaming brand.

Pokémon Center London made its debut back in the fall of 2019, where it notoriously drew ridiculous queues of up to five hours as eager fans stood in line to buy Pikachu dressed as a little city gent. The furor led to all sorts of stock shortages and?? daily rule changes for the retailer, as it struggled to cope with the unending pressure from both Londoners and visitors traveling to the capital specifically for the c?ause. In total, some 30,000 customers shopped at the store within its four-week opening period.

The store was set to return in 2020 ??but was postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Pikachu, Squishmallows chooses you!

Squishmallows, a brand of adorable plush toys, have cultivated something of a cult following over the past few years. They've been able to creat?e the "collect them all" hype of brands like Beanie Babies and Webkinz before them, and they've collaborated with brands like Hello Kitty and Disney, to name a few. Now, for this year's San Diego Comic-Con, Squishmallows has a?nnounced their newest collab with Pokémon, and fans couldn't be more thrilled.

Squishmallows and The Pokémon Company made the announcement official yesterday, and Jazware??s (aka the company that owns Squishmallows) global brand manager Aaron Margolin tweeted out a picture revealing that it wasn't just Pikachu who was getting the Squishmallows treatment, but Gengar too.

Margolin also said that this is "Wave 1" of the collaboration, meaning there will surel??y be other cuddly Pokémon plushies on the way. My hope for the next round is a Bulbasaur plush, but who am I kidding, I'll probably buy it no matter what they put out.

According to a press release from Jazwares, Pikachu and Gengar won't be available ?until later this year in the fall, and there's no word yet on a price point, although the larger 24-inch Squishmallows can run you $50, which sounds likely for the Pokémon co??llab considering how popular these plushies are going to be. Who knows though, there's a chance they'll release the Pokémon line in smaller versions as well.

Jazwares Senior VP of Brand & ?Marketing Gerhard Runken had an enthusiastic quote to share about the affair: "Joining forces with Pokémon to bring fans this monumental new offering takes the Squishmallows br?and to a completely new level of pop-culture coolness."

The King of the Koopas gets a LEGO makeover

Making LEGO sets that are designed with adults in mind is one of the best decisions the company ever made, because LEGO has released some really awesome, complex builds over the past few years. Just in their Nintendo collaboration alone, which debuted in 2020, they gave us the buildable NES and the "?" block with different levels from Super Mario 64 on the inside. LEGO's newest release is another banger in the Mario-themed line: a giant Bowser that shoots firebal??ls.

I have to admit that I haven't played with LEGO since I was a kid, but man, they've really stepped up their game over the past few years. The Might Bowser figure is made of up over 3,000 pieces, some of which were designed specifically for this build. He's incredibly detailed, but this Bowser doesn't just look great �you can move his head around and shoot a little LEGO fireball out of his mouth. In addition, the Senior Designer on t??he project Carl Merriam says that they "took inspiration from a few forms of puppetry" and added loose joints to Bowser's legs and tail so he looks like he's jumping when you pick him up.

But wait, there's more! LEGO fans who own a LEGO Super Mario Starter Course can actually battle against Bowser with Mario, Luigi, or Peach.

Basically, if you take your little interactive figure from that set and b??ounce it on Bowser, it will make noises from the game and play battle animations. How cool is that? It's that extra at?tention to detail that makes this a really impressive build, in my opinion.

The Mighty Bowser figure hits stores on October 1, 2022, and will retail for $269.99 on the LEGO website or ?wherever LEGO is sold, so start saving up now if you're dying to add him ?to your collection!
