This weekend, Bandai Namco proudly announced that its en masse brawler One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 had successfully passed the milestone of one million shipments and digital sales across PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. This latest entry in a series of One Piece adaptations hit said milestone faster than its thre??e predecessors.

Alongside this revelation, Bandai Namco released the trailer for the third and final DLC character heading to Pirate Warriors 4's second character pass. As predicted by many of the game's fanbase, Kozuki Oden will be joining fellow samurai Kikunojo and Kin'emon in order to round out the Wano Cou?nty DLC Pack, which l??aunches on December 17.

The son of a powerful shogun, Kozuki Oden is a legendary samurai and the former leader of the party known as the N?ine Red Scabbards. An expert fighter, Kazuki has felled countless opponents with his double sword skills, while presenting himself as a fearless leader, duty and honor-bound to his fellow Scabbards. A man who cannot be broken, Kozuki has made sacrifices for the pride and safety of his people, as strong in drive as in his physical abilities.

Samurai Snowdown

Bandai Namco has released gameplay for two forthcoming DLC characters in its anime RPG/brawler One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. The videos give fans there first look at the two legendary samurais Kikunojo (Okiku??) and Kin'emon.

The beautiful Kikunojo serves as a member of the deadly? Nine Red Scabbards, the Kozuki Family's loyal band of samurai protectors. Kikunojo of the Lingering Snow (or simply "Kiku") may appear quieter and more demure than her Red Scabbard brethren, but has mastered her sword to absolute perfection, cutting down myriad opponen?ts who have stood in her way.

As the leader of the Nine Red Sc??abbards, Kin'emon is a far brasher and louder opponent, who dominates his foes due to his incredible size, strength, and sw?ordsmanship. Kin'emon has proven himself a loyal and proud samurai and, despite his rocky past, has lent his sword to the side of the right and just on numerous occasions.

Both Kikunojo and Kin'emon - along with third character Kozuki Oden - will be made available to purchase later this winter as part of Pirate Warriors 4's Wano County Character Pass.

Bandai Namco has revealed the newest character headed to One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. The beautiful and deadly samurai, Kikun??ojo, will be the second warrior released as part of the hack 'n' slash adventure's third character pack.

Kikunojo of the Lingering Snow - known as simply "Kiku" to most - is a Wano County samurai who serves as one of the "Nine Red Scabbards," a dangerous gathering of fighters who work for the Kozuki Family. Despite her towering height, Kiku's demure appearance lures in foes, who soon come to regret their d??ecisions once they fall afo??ul of her devastating sword skills.

While Bandai Namco is yet to release a trailer or any screenshots of Kiku in action, we do know that she will join her fellow samurai and Nine Red Scabbard member Kin'emon in Character Pass 3. One more roster addition is expected to be announced in the near future, and it would be snug to suggest it will be yet an?other member of this nefarious group.

First reveal for third character pack

Bandai Namco has revealed the first DLC character of One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4's third character pack - as if its roster wasn't already bursting at the seams. As revealed in ??Weekly Famitsu, the next seafaring legend to join the party is the mighty samurai Kin'emon.

Hailing from Wano Country, Kin'emon was once a retainer for the country's powerful rulers, the Kozuki Family. However, once his Wano fell to the Kurozumi Orochi, Kin'emon took to the ocean, searching for brave warriors to aid him in his efforts to take back his homeland. To this end, Kin'emon formed his ??own party, the Nine Red Scabbards,?? and has allied with the Straw Hat Pirates on numerous occasions.

Kin'emon is confirmed as the first of three characters that will make up One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4's third character pass, although no release date for the new wave of DLC has been announced. The most recent DLC drop, the "Worst Generation" pack, launched on September 24 and includes characters Urouge, X Drake, and Killer.

Bandai Namco has released a new gameplay trailer for its anime brawler One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, giving fans their first look at upcoming DLC character Urouge in action.

In the video, the mad monk decimates armies of hapless enemies thanks to h??is bizarre weapon of choice, a gigantic solid stone pillar. As if he wasn't already hu??ge enough, the perpetually grinning loon then succeeds in almost doubling his muscle-mass, before crushing the few remaining fools with his mighty fists. They don't call 'em the "Worst Generation" for nothing.

Urouge is the third and final member of One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4's Character Pass 3, which compiles Urouge with previously revealed characters X Drake and Killer. The new DLC will arrive on all platforms on September 24, adding even more characters to Pirate Warriors 4's impressive 50+ roster of heroes and villains.

Bandai Namco has revealed the third and final character headed to One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 this fall. Urouge is the latest member of the feared faction known as the "Worst Generation"?? to join the musou-like's huge ros??ter of fighters.

Known to?? his friends and foes as "The Mad Monk," Urouge is the captain of the Fallen Monks and is known for his insane and massively unnerving grin, which is rarely - if ever - wiped from his face. Like many members of the Worst Generation, Urouge is a mammoth of a man, standing literally stories above your average pirate.

Boasting incredible strength, Urouge wanders around with an enormous stone pillar resting on his shoulder, ready ?to bring it down on the dome on any idiot who steps up to the plat?e. No doubt this primitive-but-effective technique will be featured in Urouge's digital form.

Bandai Namco has released the first gameplay trailer for Killer, one of the upcoming DLC characters for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, further expanding the madcap brawler's huge roster of scallywags.

One of the Supernovas from the feared "Worst Generation" faction, Killer does not take his monikers of "The Massacre Soldier" and "The Murder Machine" lightly. An incredibly dangerous martial-arts master, the masked meathead spells doom for almost anybody foolish enough to stand in his way, cutting down all opposition with his trusty hand-scythes.

As we can see in the above trailer, the cannon fodder of Pirate Warriors 4 stands no chance against Killer, who combines?? lightning fast movement with flashy acrobatics to sweep through waves of enemy soldiers. I mean, why would you even show up? I guess we've all gotta put food on the table.

Bandai Namco has released a trailer for one of the scurvy dawgs headed to its anime brawler One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 and, as previously reported, it's n?one other than swashbuckling troublemaker? X Drake.

Captain of The Drake Pirates and a member of the notorious "Worst Generation," this former SWORD member turned his back on his marine status to become a ruthless bandit of the seven seas. Already a dual-weapon fighter of expert skill, X D??rake is also capable of transforming himself into a monstrous Allosaurus, devastating armies of men with his primal powers.

X Drake will arrive later this year as part of the "Worst Generation" DLC pack - Pirate Warriors 4's second character pass - which will also include the homicidal "Massacre Soldier," Killer, and one more to-be-revealed character. The "Worst Gen?eration" DLC pack is expected to arrive in-game sometime this fall.

As revealed in the latest issue of Weekly Jump, masked muscleman Killer will be one of a trinity of characters arriving in-game as part of Pirate Warriors 4's second character pass. In the One Piece universe, Killer is a pirate of the South Blue, as well as one of the 12 feared members that make up "The Worst Generatio?n."

Blessed with incredible physical strength, Kil?ler is also equipped with two bulky wrist guards in which he stores razor-sharp hand scythes - his preferred weapon of choice. Under his pseudonym of "Kazamo the Manslayer," Killer is a dangerous and sociopathic individual, capable of murdering those who present an obstacle in the blink of an eye.

X Drake is a powerful figure within the One Piece universe, being captain of his own crew - the Drake Pirates - as well as leading the super-secret marine unit known as SWORD. X Drake is also on the list o?f 12 part?icularly dastardly pirates known as the "Worst Generation."

Far more stoic and noble in nature than many members of the One Piece cast, X Drake is capable of amazing feats of strength when challenged and, strangest of all, also has the ability to change form into a monstrous Allosaurus, a power earned by eating mystical Devil F??ruit. This shape-shifting skill will be featured in X Drake's in-game abilities.

Bandai Namco has dropped a devastating trailer for DLC character Vinsmoke Judge, who is headed to its RPG brawler One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. Vinsmoke will arrive as a part of the "Whole Cake Island" character pa??ck this summer.

Vinsmoke Judge is the feared leade??r of the Vinsmoke Family, a feared clan from the Germa Kingdom who have used their weal??th, status, and extraordinary physical strength to conquer the North Blue. Vinsmoke values power over all - directly equating strength with status - and as such has even gone as far as to mutate his own children into ferocious warriors. Dad of the year, he ain't.

As you can see in the above trailer, Vinsmoke is capable of wrecking huge platoons of enemies thanks to his formidable physical size, long-range spear skills, and deadly command of electricity. Arriving alongside his "Minister of Biscuit" Charlotte Cracker, and "Minister of Juice" Charlotte Smoothie, Vinsmoke Judge is looking anything but sweet.

Bandai Namco has released the trailer for the next character that's coming stomping into RPG brawler One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. As revealed back in April, Charl??otte Smoothie has finally arrived to beat armies of hapless foes? into pulp, pun fully intended.

As a commander of the LongLeg Tribe, Charlotte stands tall over all of her enemies, using her intimidating size, incredible reach and killer instinct to lay waste to the enemy. If being ??the height of a building wasn't enough, Charlotte's huge rapier ensures that her opponents are cut down before they can even get within range of t??he stunning warrior, demonstrated in the video below.

The gargantuan roster of Bandai Namco's anime brawler One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is set to grow and grow. As revealed by the latest issue of Japanese maga?zine V-Jump, the l??atest character joining the DLC queue is the Commander of the Germa 66 himself, Vinsmoke Judge.

A towering and imposing figure, Vinsmoke Judge is the leader of the powerful Vinsmoke Family, rulers of the Germa Kingdom and conquerors of the North Blue. Obsessed with status and command, there are no lengths that Judge will not go to in ensuring the top-of-the-food-chain nature of his kin. This including teaming with the most dastardly villains in the One Piece universe, and ev??en mutating his own children in order to make them strong fighters.

There are no trailers or screenshots of Vinsmoke Judge in-game as of yet, but we do know that he will keep his enemies at bay with long-ranged spear attacks. Judge is the third character to be revealed for the One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 character pass, and joins the previously revealed Charlotte Smoothie and Charlotte Cracker.

Another cookie-cutter villain

As revealed by the latest issue of Japanese magazine Weekly Jump, the second DLC character headed to Bandai Namco's brawler One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 will be Charlotte Cracker, joining fellow Sweet Commander Charlotte Smoothie in-game later this year.

As their name denotes, Charlotte Cracker is the (checks notes) Minister of Biscuit, responsible for the governing of (checks again) Biscuit Island. Alongside Charlotte's Smoothie and Katakuri, the three Sweet Commanders wreak havoc in the name of the Big Mom Pirates, wreaking havoc with their armies and weaponry based on? delightful snack treats. I'm so old.

There are no images nor in-game footage of Charlotte Cracker in action as of yet, but Weekly Jump does note that he is a speed-type character, able to conjure up an almost-infinite number of biscuit soldiers with which to do his bidding. Charlotte Cracker will be made available as part of Pirate Warriors 4's Character Pack, and su?rely the unholy trinity will be complete with Charlotte Katakuri at some point down the line.

Bandai Namco's One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is already packed to the mizzenmasts with fan-favourite characters, but it seems the musou-like brawler isn't done yet. As reported in the newest issue of Japanese publication We??ekly Jump, more scallywags will be joining the roster as paid DLC characters in the future, including the fantastically monikered Charlotte Smoothie, who will arrive in-game this summer.

Charlotte Smoothie is a flamboyantly-dressed warrior of the Longleg Tribe which, as the name suggests, are a race of disproportionately?? tall human hybrids. Smoothie runs with the Big Mom Pirates, and is feared for her cruel and arrogant nature. As her name would suggest, Charlotte is?? also Totto Land's "Minister of Juice" which, frankly, sounds like a great job.

There are currently no t??railers, screens, or details pertaining to Charlotte Smoothie's in-game appearance or abilities, but no doubt her statuesque legs, sword-skills, and penchant for squeezing folk to death will serve her well out on the battlefield.

The latest quartet of trailers includes Beast?? Pirates Governor and "Strongest Creature in the World" Kaido, Captain of the Blackbeard Pirates Marshall D. Teach, the dangerous and psychopathic Eustass Kid, and finally the debonair Shanks, who is not only one of The New World's four Emperors, but is also responsible for the nurturing of protagonist Luffy's pirating ways.

Bandai Namco and Koei Tecmo are preparing to set sail with One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, a musou-like title adapted from the popular manga/anime series of the same name. Th?e publishers have released the sequel's launch trailer, ahead of the game's launch later this week.

Pirate Warriors 4 sees a mammoth roster - packed with over 40 One Piece heroes and villains - take on huge waves of canno?n fodder minions and powerful boss characters, with each scurvy dawg cutting down the opposition with unique skills and abilities. The chaotic ?RPG-cum-brawler includes an original story campaign as well as several multiplayer modes.

Another scurvy dawg is on the way to the huge roster of Bandai Namco's chaotic action-RPG One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. As revealed in the latest issue of Japanese magazine Weekly?? Jump, the delicious and malicious Eustass Kid will be bringing his own brand of psychopathic mayhem.

Eustass Kid is one of the One Piece fra??nchise's most dangerous antagonists. Showing little care or remorse for collateral damage, Eustass Kid is one of the eleven pirates that make up The Worst Generation, a sort of "Most Wanted" list formed by the World Government. A violent, spiteful and cruel individual, Eustass Kid can perform acts of carnage in the blink of an eye, ??with no regard for the well-being of anybody in the immediate vicinity.

In Pirate Warriors 4, players will be able to play as Eustass Kid in both his pre-and-post timeskip forms. There is no trailer as of yet, but you can check out some of the many weird and wonderful characters revealed for the game here and here.

It's been a very busy week for epic brawler One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. Fresh off the trailer for Cavendish and the news that Eustass Kid is getting ready t?o rumbl??e, Bandai Namco has dropped another character trailer, introducing the wild-eyed and sharp-fanged Bartolomeo to the sequel's mammoth roster.

Bartolomeo is the Captain of the Barto Club, and a strong - if wild - ally to protagonist ??Luffy. Utterly nihilistic in nature, Bartolomeo cares little for the world around him as much as his own reputation within it. Despite his loyalty to the Straw Hats, Bartolomeo is an unpredictable and vulgar pirate, ranked number one on the "Pirates We Most Wish Would Disappear" list. Regardless, "The Man Eater" has proven his respe??ct and support of Luffy and his gang on numerous occasions.

As noted in the short trailer below, Bartolomeo is a master of creating "barriers," which can be used for both offensive and defensive purposes. By ?insulting and provok??ing his enemies, Bartolomeo is able to further increase his own strength and abilities.

The newest trailer officially announces the arrival of Cavendish: Captain of The Beautiful Pirates. As his moniker suggests, Cavendish is a rogue of incredible handsomeness, often causing those w?ho gaze upon his visage to faint at his mere presence. Unfortunately, the young pirate's personality isn't quite as attractive, with a pompous, arrogant, and vain demeanour.

As if that wasn't enough, Cavendish' aloof nature hides a wild split personality, which sometimes a wild, dangerous, and bloodthirsty alter-ego known as Hakuba to take over, twisting his once-handsome face into a ghastly and demonic grin. In Pirate Warriors 4, Cavendish will be able to utilise his Hakuba form to perform frenzied and powerful slashing attacks?, cutting down armies of enemies with ea??se.

Bandai Namco has unleashed a bounty of character trailers for its upcoming hack 'n' slash sequel Pirate Warriors 4, based on the ongoing adventures of popular anime series One Piece.

The new videos give fans a good look at six of Pirate Warriors 4's playable characters, all of whom will engage in huge, chaotic battles with villains from the shadiest sands of the One Piece universe. The featured characters include super-stylish skeleton Brook, muscle-bound shipmaker Franky, smart and sultry archae??ologis??t Nico Robin, tobacco-loving military man Smoker, talented swordswoman Tashigi, and finally, weird-ass medical kung-fu reindeer Tony Tony Chopper...

..."TONY TONY CHOPPER".

Pirate Warriors 4 is taking a trip

One Piece: Pirate Warriors is shaping up to be possibly the most successful Musou spinoff series to date, as the operation keeps on chugging along with Pirate Warriors 4 in 2020.

Set to debut on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch (it's crazy how much this one blossomed, as it was originally only available on PS3), Bandai Namco has revealed at TGS that the new iteration will actually dea??l with the Wano Country arc: a very recent and relevant storyline from the currently ongoing anime. Zoro and Carrot will make an appearance as playable characte??rs, and the shapeshifting, electric-wielding latter fighter sounds like she's going to be fun to play. Kurozumi Orochi, the shogun of Wano Country, will likely be a cool foe to take on too.

Now when the game debuts the arc will have been four months old at a minimum, but it's nice to see Pirate Warriors 4 try to spice things up with newer arcs instead of s??ticking to the past.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is set to continue the wacky hijinks of the Straw Hat Pirate crew ??sometime in 2020 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. This plucky little subfranchise (which itself is an extension of Omega Force and Koei Tecmo's popular Warriors umbrella) has been one of the more? lucrative and long-surviving ones of the bunch, with the original Pirate Warriors debuting in 2012.

Today at Gamescom Bandai Namco unveiled more footage for the fourth iteration, which includes a lengthy look at the (food-themed) Totto Land Islands and their ru??ler, Big Mom, from the Whole C??ake Island Arc of the anime. Reiju, Yonji, Niji, Ichiji, Sanji (returning), and Jinbei (returning) were also revealed as playable characters this week.

I know keeping up to date with the One Piece anime can be an insurmountable task (it has over 900 episodes at this point), so the games are ?a perfect way to catch up.

As announced at the Bandai Namco panel at Anime Expo LA, One Piece: Pirate Warriors is getting a fourth iteration.

Somehow the undying anime series lives on (will we ever find out what the "One Piece" is, is it the friends we made along the way?), and in addition to a ton of other video game adaptations, the popular Omega Force Warriors subseries has been keeping on since 2012, when it initially debuted on the PS3. Since then its lept to many other platforms, including the Switch for Pirate Warriors 3, and that arrangement isn't changing.

Later this year Pirate Warriors 4 will arrive on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. We can probably expect to see more characters and locations (Wano Country perhaps?) from the manga/anime given that four years have passed, which is roughly three and a half seasons of the show. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised at its longevity given that I play each entry, but this makes it one of the longest running adapted Warriors/Musou series.
