Karlach is one of the best companions in Baldur's Gate 3. Her personal storyline is one of the most interesting, and her prowess in battle makes her essential to have along for the r??ide.

As a Barbarian, Karlach only has access to three feats in Baldur's Gate 3, compared to o??ther classes like Rogue and Fighter?, which get four. This means that you've got to pick your Karlach feats carefully when you unlock them at Levels 4, 8, and 12.

So, which ones should you take? To help you decide, let's look at the best feats for Karlach in Baldur's Gate 3 to make the strongest build possible.

Best feats for Barbarian Karlach in BG3

There are 41 feats to choose from in Baldur's Gate 3, so narrowing it down to just three is tough. We've picked out what we think a??re the best feats for Karlach, as well as a few honorable mentions that you can't completely rule out.

With any Barbarian build in BG3, the aim should be purely abo?ut dealing as much damage as possible while being able to take a hit or two. You'll be right in the middle of the action, so this is crucial. These feats will help you achieve that.

Great Weapon Master feat for Karlach in Baldur’s Gate 3

Karlach Feats in Baldur's Gate 3
Screenshot by Destructoid

Feat Description
Great Weapon Master When you land a Critical Hit or kill a target with a melee weapon attack, you can make another melee weapon attack as a bonus action that turn.
Attacks with Heavy melee weapons you are Proficient with, can deal an additional 10 damage at the cost of a -5 Attack Roll penalty. (You can toggle this on and off.)

The Great Weapon Master feat is absolutely essential for any party featuring Karlach in Baldur's Gate 3. With this, you can take an extra a?ttack each turn using your bonus action. Your attacks are going t??o be deadly as a Barbarian anyway, so getting to take two will result in enormous damage, especially if you're using a Heavy melee weapon you're proficient in.

We'd recommend taking Great Weapon Master as e?arly as possible, ideally making it your Level 4 feat. Doing this kind of damage so early in the game will make combat encounters a breeze with Karlach in your party.

Savage Attacker feat for Karlach in Baldur’s Gate 3

Feat Description
Savage Attacker When making a melee weapon attack, you roll your damage dice twice and use the highest result.

It should be pretty obvious why you should pick the Savage Attacker feat as Karlach in Baldur's Gate 3. She's capable of dealing enormous amounts of dama?ge, so getting to roll the dice twice and use the highest result is comically overpowered.

Grab Savage Attacker at Level 8, after taking Great Weapon Master. That way, you'll always get the +10 damage buff too - a potent combination that will ensure Karlach plays an important role in your party throughout Baldur's Gate 3.

Tough feat for Karlach in Baldur’s Gate 3

Karlach Feats in Baldur's Gate 3

Feat Description
Tough Your hit point maximum increases by 2 for every level you have gained.

BG3's Karlach can already take tons of damage compared to the other companions. The Tough feat takes that up a notch by giving her plenty more HP. When combined with the previous two feats, you create a resilient mele?e monster by taking the Tough feat.

You should take th??e Tough feat for Karlach last, once you reach Level 12. As you hurtle toward the end of the game, the extra health will make Karlach extremely tough to kill. If you're really struggling earlier in the game, don't be afraid to take the Tough feat earlier, though.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Karlach feats: honorable mentions

While we can heartily recommend taking the above feats for Karlach in Baldur's Gate 3, there are plenty of ways to build this Tiefling Barbarian. We've added five more honorable mentions for the best feats for Karlach in Baldur's Gate 3 that you can use to switch up your playstyle.

Feat Description
Ability Improvement (Strength) You increase one Ability by 2, or two Abilities by 1, to a maximum of 20.
Athlete Your Strength or Dexterity increases by 1, to a maximum of 20.
When you are Prone, standing up uses significantly less movement. Your Jump distance also increases by 50%.
Charger You gain Charger: Weapon Attack and Charger: Shove.
Martial You learn two manoeuvres from the Battle Master subclass and gain a Superiority Die to fuel them. You regain expended Superiority Dice after a Short or Long Rest.
Tavern Brawler When you make an unarmed attack, use an improvised weapon, or throw something, your Strength Modifier is added twice to the damage and Attack Rolls.
Also grants +1 to either Strength or Constitution.

If you find you've made the wrong choice with your feats, you can always respec Karlach by p??aying 100 gold to Withers at camp. You're not locked into one s?pecific build, so why not try out a few different feat selections throughout your playthrough?

Very early into Elden Ring, I kept seeing these random, cracked, conspicuous-as-hell statues with a blue or turquoise light. And 50 hours in,?? I finally know how to break them open.

Backing up a step, there are many different types of statues in this game, some of which you can directly interact with. I'm not talking about those. I mean the statues that are partially sliced open, and oft??en emb??edded in the ground or toppled over. You'll probably recognize them when you see them. Like this one!

**Spoilers below**

A glowing cracked statue surrounded by trolls
I didn't put two and two together until way later.

If you're anything l?ike me, you might've tried two-handing your weapon, various jump attacks, and explosive throwables, to name a few tactics that seemed like a good idea at the time. No dice at least, not that I've seen. Instead, you'll need to source some outside help. You need to use a big boy.

That's right, a big boy

Had I spent more time scoping out this cracked glowing statue on stormy Limgrave hillside with several trolls roaming nearby, I probably would've figured out the solution way sooner. In fact, on a return visit, the a-ha moment happened organically: a giant just cas??ually strolled through it on his way to my character, and the cracked statue exploded, revealing a shiny reward.

What was inside? Unfortunately, just some low-level smithing stones a useful find in the ea?rly game??, but far less helpful down the road when they're more plentiful.

If you missed the statue pictured above, you might've seen this statue with a glowing crack in the heart of Stormveil Castle, which y??ou would've gone past on your way to the boss.

Inside Stormveil Castle.

It's not-so-conveniently resting next to a large, gnarly enemy large enough to make me think it could also be strong enough to bust open the statue... but it didn't work for me. Appearance isn't always everything, but once you get a feel for who (or what) has the magic touch to bust open glowing statues in Elden Ring, y?ou'll?? probably be able to instantly recognize them.

What I simply had to do upon luring this troll was to have it casually walk on top of this statue. It could have also just swung its weapon at me and broken the statue?? as collateral damage, but at lower lev??els, that could be very risky.

Elden Ring how to open glowing statues
One good troll slam should do it.

Interestingly, it seems that other large-scale enemies in Elden Ring are capable of opening these glowing c?racked statues. When we mean big boys, they don't have to be on the scale of the aforementioned trolls. You just need to be able to look and them and think, "Yeah, this guy could probably eat rocks."

Other ways to break glowing cracked statues in Elden Ring

Depending?? on the are??a you're in, you will have to do some scouting on what the biggest enemies are. You'll have to train a beast or two and bring them to the statue with the glowing cracks. In the example below found in the Sealed Tunnel, this statue is against the wall, so you can't just hide behind it in hopes of your enemy walking right into it.

W?hat you will have to do is put your back against th??e statue as an enemy is about to attack you. At the right moment, dodge its attack and hopefully, they'll open the thing for you. Not the safest thing to do, but you probably won't get anywhere just asking politely, either.

There's something horrible just out of frame.

What do glowing cracked statues contain?

In terms of reward, from every example I've seen, these glowing cracked statues just give out various tiers of upgrade materials like Smithing Stones for your weapons and shields. A potentially good haul, but not nece?ssarily something I'd want to go out of my way to get, if that makes sense.

This is just the latest in a line of "Wow, I really overthought that!" moments in the game. I'm loving it. Especially?? now that I've hit a brick wall, and it's time to go wandering again.

With over two decades of classic maps to choose from, is it really a surprise that the Call of Duty series keeps looking to its past when it comes to making new additions? As the seasonal content for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 begins to roll out, I'm taking a look at 10 ??classic maps th?at I think should return in the new game.

I've kept all of these maps? as Treyarch-exclusive. The studio doesn't have a history of taking maps from previous games it didn't develop, and there's no reason to think it will start now. No Shipment here - sorry.

10. Kowloon

classic Call of Duty maps that should return in Black Ops 6
Image via Treyarch

  • First appearance: Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010)

Originally released as part of the First Strike map pack for the original Black Ops, Kowloon is a map that has kind of been resigned to Call of Duty history. It's not a map you hear pla??yers mention often, that's for sure.

Set on the rooftops of the night city of Kowloon, Hong Kong, this map is notable for featuring ziplines for the first time in series history. For the original Black Ops, this was a little ahead of its time, and the map felt too big as a result. But with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's speedy movement, Kowloon ??could prove to be a great a?ddition.

9. Battery

classic Call of Duty maps that should return in Black Ops 6
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • First appearance: Call of Duty: World at War (2008)

Battery is yet another DLC map that has been forgotten over the years, this time from Call of Duty: World at War. Not by us - Battery would be perfect for any playstyle in Black Ops 6, with its exte?rior spaces a sniper's playground and its interior areas perfect for close-quarters combat.

Battery is a pretty small map, but the two towers attached to the side of the main playing area make it feel much bigger than it is. There's no doubt it'd go down a treat among the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 community.

8. Carrier

classic Call of Duty maps that should return in Black Ops 6
Image via Treyarch

  • First appearance: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (2012)

If chaos is what Treyarch wants in a Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, it needn't look any fu??rther than Carrier. It's probably one of the most close-qu?arters maps ever in the series, despite being relatively large in size.

The obstacles littered around the map essentially force you into constant close-range duels, meaning your next fight is always around the next corner. I just know the Black Ops 6 community would have a ball with this classic Call of Duty map.

7. Raid

classic Call of Duty maps that should return in Black Ops 6
Image via Treyarch

  • First appearance: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (2012)

When looking at the criteria for a new Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 map, playstyle variety must be high on the agenda. That's why Black Ops 2's Hollywood Hills mansion map, ?Raid, would be a perfect candidate.

Snipers can enjoy the long sightlines from either side of the center lane, although moving centrally rewards that run-and-gun playstyle that Black Ops 6 player?s love. In terms of game modes, Raid is unique in that it suits just about everything, too. It's a real Swis?s Army map in its versatility.

6. Launch

classic Call of Duty maps that should return in Black Ops 6
Image via Treyarch

  • First appearance: Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010)

Launch's mid-map rocket launch was awesome back in 2010, and guess what? It still rules now. It was a great way to add a dynamic element to this classic Call of Duty map, even if the layout ??itself usually turned into an all-out brawl in the cente?r.

If Launch was to return in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, it could take the dynamic effects of that rocket launch even fu??rther. There's untapped potential here, and it'd be cool to see Tr?eyarch take a crack at it.

5. Summit

classic Call of Duty maps that should return in Black Ops 6
Image via Treyarch

  • First appearance: Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010)

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is in dire need of some great Search and Destroy maps. May I present Summit, which almost feels purpose-built for the popular Black Ops 6 game mode.

Every area in Summit feels extremely narrow. One misstep can spell doom. Diligent clearing of every corner is required. Bringing such a tactical map into Black Ops 6 could provide a breath of fresh air from the game?'s typical ??run-and-gun gameplay loop.

4. Castle

best Call of Duty maps
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • First appearance: Call of Duty: World at War (2008)

The birds-eye-view layout of Call of Duty: World at War's Castle suggests a map that shouldn't work. Yet, it does. There's lots of dead space on the map where very? little happens, but Castle does such a great job of naturally? drawing players to the center that it simply doesn't matter.

Lore-wise, Castle doesn't make much sense for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. If you can ignore that, I'd lov?e to see how this one plays in the new game's meta.

3. Firing Range

best Call of Duty maps
Image via Treyarch

  • First appearance: Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010)

Firing Range is about as perfe??ct as the three-lane layout gets. Long-range encounters take place on the outer lanes, while the middle becomes a stirring pot of absolute chaos. Objective matches o?n Firing Range are an absolute blast.

If Firing Range returned in Black Ops 6, it would mark a fifth appearance in t??he series for the map. There's a reason it keeps coming back.

2. Standoff

best Call of Duty maps
Image via Treyarch

  • First appearance: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (2012)

If we're talking classic Treyarch Call of Duty maps, you have to include Standoff. It's one of the best objective maps ever, with tons of verticality allowing engagements to come f??rom just ?about anywhere.

We last saw Standoff in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, but if Treyarch does decide to del??ve into its back pocket for an old favorite, don't be surprised?? to see it make another appearance.

1. Hijacked

best Call of Duty maps
Image via Treyarch

  • First appearance: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (2012)

Hijacked is one of the best Call of Duty multiplayer maps ever, and it's a surprise that it hasn't featured in every Treyarch title since its debut in Black Ops 2. It came back in Black Ops Cold War, and should make one more appearance in Black Ops 6.

Hijacked is symmetrical map design at its finest - two main structures on the yacht opposite one another, with close-quarters mayhem happening in between. This was already an extremely fast-paced Call of Duty map, and Black Ops 6's omnimovement would only amplify this.

A feature not present in any of the game's previous versions, Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake allows players to ?catchor recruitfriendly monsters during their journey, as well ?as battle with them for the chance of getting large sums of gold and exclusive items.

But although you will get your first monster after being introduced to the mechanic by Monty, the game features a massive array of 121 monsters. To help you rescue them all, here's how to catch monsters in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake.

How to Catch Monsters in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake

After coming face to face with any type of friendly monster in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake, you will be able to recruit them by simply getting clo??se, which will prompt your hero to calm them down and tell them about Monty's Monster menagerie. As some monsters will run away after spotting you, I recommend getting a Monster Wrangler in your party as soon as possible, a??s they will allow you to approach all monsters without trouble and get new abilities based on how many you rescue.

After acquiring a monster, or a few if you wish to be 100% sure, you can take them to battle by heading to any of the arenas?? located across the world and then talking to its set receptionist. The first arena you can find will be located in Romaria.

Raising the level of your monsters is a must if you plan on chall??enging the higher ranks in the arenas, but unlike your party, they won't level up by winning matches. Instead, you will only be able to increase their ??level and have them unlock new abilities by recruiting more monsters of the same type.

The above also means that species with a larger variety of friendly monsters, such as the slimes, will have a higher ceiling when compared to, for example, the Spiked Hare seen in the image above. So that you can make your monsters unstoppable early on and glide past the ranks, I highly recommend that you check out our All Friendly Monster Locations in Dragon Quest 3 guide.

There are currently two ways to get a party member with the Monster Wrangler vocation in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D, with the first one being by visiting the receptionist on the second floor of Patty's Party Planning Place. If you want to buil?d the world's most dangerous Wrangler by switching the vocation of one of your party members, you will then be able to do so by visiting the Abbot of Alltrades Abbey. Keep in mind, however, that you will only be able to change a character's vocation after they reach level 20.

Enshrouded is a survival action RPG developed by Keen ??Games. As the genre suggests, you have to basically do all the necessary activities to survive in the game. One of the most important elements in this game is armor, which you can build with Dried Fur.

However, finding this item migh??t be a bit of a hassle, so to help you get that, here is a comprehensive guide on how to get the Dried Fur in Enshrouded.

How to get Dried Fur in Enshrouded

Dried Fur in Enshrouded

Ba?sically, Dried Fur is a material that is used in making items like Fur Rug or some sets like Explorer Set and Adventurer Set. Despite being a material,?? you also need some materials to craft Dried Fur. Here are the required items needed to craft it:

  • Drying Rack
  • Animal Fur
  • Salt

First things fir??st, you have to craft Drying Rack which will require you to have 10 Wood Logs and 6 Strings. You can also craft Drying Rack ?by talking to the Hunter. You can obtain Wood Logs by chopping down the trees and Strings by crafting them via Plant Fibers.

Secondly, you need one Animal Fur and three Salts. To get the Animal Fur, you simply ??have to kill animals and loot them to get their fur. Remember that not all animals will provide you with the Animal Fur. But compared to Salt, it is very much getable.

Salt is basically a mineable resource that you can use not only to craft Dried Fur but also to add seasoning to the Farmer’s recipe. To get that it?em, simply wander o??ff in the Enshrouded Valleys. The best salt mine that you can go for is in the north-east direction from the first base location. Once you have found both the items, you can use these items to craft the Dried Fur.

My absolute favorite among the game's wide array, the Paragon personality can be seen as the perfect choice for those looking to get a huge boost in strength and one-shot enemies no matter their game stage in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake.

But how can you get the personality at the start of the game? And for those looking to battle with a Paragon duo, is it possible to switch to it later on or get a party member with it? Here are all the ways to get the Paragon Personality in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake.

You can get the Paragorn personality at the start of your journey in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake by completing the Monster Persona??lity Test without killing more than 2 NPCs. You can unlock the test by ?answering the questions asked by the goddess in the following way:

  • Question #1: Do you believe that victory can be won in the field of battle? Yes
  • Question #2: Do you prefer spells and sorcery to swords and sweat? No
  • Question #3: Do you find the company of unfamiliar people tiresome? No
  • Question #4: Are you able to prevent failure from preying upon your mind? Yes
  • Question #5: Do you find yourself unable to argue with others, even if you disagree with them strongly? No
  • Question #6: Do you enjoy physical pursuits? Yes
  • Question #7: Can even the most minor of matters irritate you? No
  • Question #8: Do you believe that a promise, once made, can under no circumstances be broken? Yes (Answering this question or the one below in any other way will lock you out of the Personality Test)
  • Question #9: Do you believe in a power higher than that of man? Yes

Although it is possible to unlock the test by following a path different from the one above, I recommend that you restart your playthrough until your first question matches ours. Apart from that, all the following inquiries will be directly related to your previous answer. Differently from the Vamp and like the Tough Cookie personality, Paragon is not gender locked.

How to Complete the Monster Personality Test

After answering the questions as shown above and starting the Monster Personality Test on DQ 3, you can complete it without killing more than a single NPC by avoiding the dog and then ??making your way down the main path. Keep in mind that it is impossible to complete the test without torching the villager by the well.

How to Switch a Personality to Paragon in Dragon Quest 3

If you fail to get the personality at the beginning or just want to turn a party member into a Paragon, you will be able to do so by either using The Champion's Code book or equipp??ing the Mighty Armlet. Keep in mind that equipping the item will only change your chosen character's personality when they are wearing it. When creating a party member on the second floor of Patty's Party Planning Place, using five Seeds of Strength will allow them to come with the ??Paragon personality, although whether or not they will get it will still be up to chance.

Season 1 has started in Black Ops 6, and it brings tons of new content. One of the biggest highlights in Season 1 is the return of the Prop Hunt mode. This article will tell you everything you need to know about the Prop Hunt mode a?nd its release dat?e.

When does Prop Hunt mode come back in Black Ops 6?

//twitter.com/CallofDuty/status/1854584505132040702

Basically, one of the posts from the Black Ops 6 account on X mentioned that Prop Hunt mod?e is making a comeback in Season 1. However, I hate to break it to you that this game mode will not be available just after the commencement of Season 1.

With that said, you can expect Prop Hunt mode to return during the mid-season update, which probably happens after a two-week to four-week timeframe. Usually, Prop Hunt mode sticks around for a bit, so it’ll probably wrap up when?? Season 1 ends.

Prop Hunt mode gameplay in Black Ops 6 explained

Prop Hunt mode is basically a hide-and-seek game with a twist. In this, you are chosen as a prop or hunter, and ?you will be hiding or hunting based on your role. If you are a prop, you will be given random items such as a? vase, a signboard, etc. to choose from.

Once you have chosen the item, you have to blend in with the environmen??t and make sure to not get caught by the hunters. You can also clone yourself to make a perfect setup ??to blend in the environment.

If you are a hunter, you have to basically look for the props and hunt them. To help you in hunting, props will whistle after 30 seconds so that you can get a rough idea where they?? are. However, the hunters will have to kill all props?? before the timer runs out. If the hunter fails to capture all the props, the prop team will win.

Camellya, likely the most-hyped character since Wuthering Waves' ??release, has finally arrived with version 1.4, and she is a doozy. If you want to learn how to play her properly and gear her up correctly, keep reading, a?s I'm going to dive into what this famed character is all about.

Best Camellya Build in Wuthering Waves

Camellya is a Havoc DPS character with a focus on dishing out as much damage as possible while she is on the field, wh??ich is most of the time. This is thanks?? to the many buffs she awards herself with as she flows through her rotation. Camellya is also a "stance-dancer," which means she constantly swaps between two different movesets, which is a commonly misunderstood aspect of her character.

Camellya's Gameplan

The complexity of Camellya's kit may not see?m?? apparent on the surface, but the moment you start digging through it, there is plenty to learn, practice, and master.

The Budding State

Your goal with Camellya is to reach her Budding State as quickly as possible because she gains a significant damage buff with most of her abilities while it is active. She enters this state by fully charging her Concerto Meter and activating her Skill. This will trigger her Forte Circuit, Ephemeral, which unleashes the most powerful attack in her kit while putting ??her into the Budding State.

The damage buff gained in the Budding State depends entirely upon how many stacks of Crimson Buds she had before invoking Ephemeral. Crimson Bud stacks are gained when Camellya deals damage while she has Crimson Pistils or her Forte Bar. Every attack she lands will drain the bar while giving her Crimson Bud stacks up to 10. For every stack of Crimson Bud, she gains a massive stacking damage buff when she uses Ephemeral (which also applies to the Ephemeral explosion) in the Budding State. You'll know Camellya is in the Budding State when she has a red petal aura around her.

Camellya vs Wix in Wuthering Waves

When Camellya casts Ephemeral, her Forte Bar is completely refilled, but it cannot be used to regain Crimson Bud stacks while the Budding State is active. Her Forte Bar is also refilled every time she uses her Intro Skill.? You want to do both to ensure Camellya ?can gain all the stacks and buffs she needs.

It s??ounds more confusing than it actually is, and this a situation where you should do a few test runs to get a real, hands-on sense of the flow.

Stance swapping: Normal State and Blossom State

Camellya can access two additional States, both essential for transitioning into the Budding State more easily. These are her Normal State and Blossom State.

  • Normal State (White Hair) - Camellya’s attack strings emphasize grounded, single-target damage. It has minimal cleave but should be your go-to state when fighting bosses because it deals more damage than Blossom State.
  • Blossom State (Red Hair) - Camellya takes to the air and remains stationary unless a dodge is used first. Her attack strings transform into wide AoE spin attacks, perfect for cutting through large groups of enemies.

Camellya can seamlessly shift between both her Normal and Blossom States with her Skill at any time. Her Blossom State can (and should) be canceled by pressing the Jump button so that the Skill cooldown is not used.

Camellya in Blooming State

There’s a lot more nuance to Camellya’s stances. For example, she can cancel any action with a stance swap, opening up some advanced techniques that can turn the tide in combat if you take the? time to master them.

  • String Cancelling - Switching stances allow Camellya to cancel any animation in her kit, including her attack strings. This enables you to skip unwanted portions of her combos in either stance, seamlessly transition into a new string, minimize attack delay frames, and position yourself more advantageously during combat.
  • Blossom State Staminaless Dodge - When Camellya is airborne in the Blossom State, she can only move around by Dodging, and this costs Stamina. However, if she avoids an attack while dodging in this state, she will regain all of the Stamina she used.
  • Heavy Attack Buffering - While in the Normal date, Camellya's Heavy Attack launches her into a high-damage spin that is critical for dealing DPS. Normally, Camellya must attack once before going to the spin, but by holding the Basic attack button during any other action, Camellya can skip the first attack by buffering her Heavy. This lets her go right into the spin attack without delay.

While there are likely more advanced techniques to master with Camellya, your primary focus should be building her Concerto and entering the Budding State as efficiently as possible, ensuring you have 10 stacks of Crimson Bud when casting Ephemeral. Once there, use her Normal State to deal single-target DPS and use her Blossom State for AoE DPS. Then, rinse and repeat.

Best Echoes for Camellya in Wuthering Waves

Dreamless Echo for Camellya in Wuthering Waves

Camellya deals immense damage, leaving her with one optimal Echo Set choice: Sun-sinking Eclipse. The ideal Echo setup for her is '43311,' which ?refers to the Echo Costs for all five Echo equipment slots.

  • 4-Cost Echo (Crit DMG) - Dreamless or Crownless
  • 3-Cost Echoes (Havoc DMG Bonus or ATK%) - Any
  • 1-Cost Echoes (ATK%) - Any

Mak??e ?sure that you use Dreamless or Crownless as Camellya's active Echo so she gains the damage bonus from them.

Best weapons for Camellya in Wuthering Waves

Camellya's Red Spring in Wuthering Waves

Camellya's signature weapon, Red Spring, is by far her best, as it is tailor-made for her kit. One of its most poten?t components requires the equipper to use their Concerto Energy, but Camellya is currently the only character who can do so while remaining on the field, making it her best option.

The only other viable option for Camellya is Emerald of Genesis, as it's a solid all-around stat stick for any Sword character. However, keep in mind that Red Spring greatly outperforms Emerald of Genesis for Camellya, thanks to the way her kit?????????????????????????? works.

Best team compositions for Camellya in Wuthering Waves

Camellya is a very selfish characte??r. She want?s to have the field to herself for the majority of the time because of the Budding State. If you swap to a different character while she is in Budding State, she will lose all benefits from it, which is extremely detrimental to her overall gameplan.

As such, Camellya favors having a strict rotation with her team, with her being the last to go on-field and remain th??ere after all other buffs are active.

Camellya/Sanhau/Shorekeeper

Camellya's Team Comp in Wuthering Waves

This is Camellya’s best team comp, letting her stay on the field for long stretches without losing any buffs. St??art by having Shorekeeper generate enough Concerto to fill it using her Ultimate. Then, trigger Sanhau's intro and follow it up with her quick Skill, Ultimate, and Heavy Attack combo. This combo should fill Sanhau's Concerto completely, letting Camellya jump in to carry out her? gameplan. If needed, Danjin can replace Sanhau and Verina can take over for Shorekeeper, though the results will be slightly suboptimal.

Best Sequences for Camellya in Wuthering Waves

Camellya is one of the few characters in Wuthering Waves that benefits heavily from her Sequences. This isn't to say she isn't viable at S0, but there is a considerable difference between that and even S2. Without a doubt, S3 is your best stopping point, bu??t that is a bit deep in. If you're interested in what all of her Sequence do, here they are, condensed for your clarity.

Camellya's Sequences in Wuthering Waves

  • Somewhere No One Travelled (S1) - When Camellya uses her Intro Skill, she gains a free 28% Crit DMG for 18 seconds and grants her interruption immunity when casting Ephemeral. This is a decent sequence, but it is not enough to be worth going for unless you're going beyond it.
  • Calling Upon the Silent Rose (S2) - Ephemeral's DMG Multiplier is increased by 120%. This Sequence more than doubles the damage of Camellya's most powerful ability. It's really good. Get it if you can.
  • A Bud Adorned by Thorns (S3) - Increased Camellya's Ultimate DMG by 50% and she gains a massive 58% ATK buff while in the Budding State. This is also a dramatic increase in damage for Camellya, which is why I recommend this to be your stopping point.

Camellya in combat - Wuthering Waves
Image via Kuro Games

  • Roots Set Deep in Eternity (S4) - Camellya's Intro Skill gives her entire party 25% Basic ATK DMG for 30 seconds. Not great right now due to the lack of Basic ATK characters that would run with Camellya, but in the future, this could be a potentially potent Sequence.
  • Infinity Held in Your Palm (S5) - Camellya's Intro skill deals 303% more damage, and her Outro Skill deals 68% more damage. This is a nice bonus, but not worth going for unless it's a stepping stone to her S6.
  • Bloom For You Thousand Times Over (S6) - Oh boy. This one is insane. There’s a lot of technical jargon behind this Sequence in-game, but here’s the gist: when you use Camellya’s Ephemeral if you refill her Concerto within 15 seconds of the cast, she can cast a secondary version of it called Perennial (on a separate cooldown). This basically lets her enter the Budding State twice as often, and if that wasn’t crazy enough, the damage bonus from the state gets a massive 250% boost. It's a S6. What did you expect?

Xaku Prime is the latest Prime Warframe to c?ome to the game, but alongside Xaku, we also got Trumna Prime and Quassus Prime. The Trumna is a particula?rly powerful weapon, capable of clearing entire rooms of enemies with the press of a single button. If you build it right, that is.

You'll need to get your Xaku relics, your Quassus relics, and your Trumna relics sorted out before you can start playing around with these new additions, but if you're ready for some ??explosively serious DPS, keep reading for our take on a low-cost Trumna Prime build.

How to build Trumna Prime in Warframe

Trumna Prime comes with solid critical chance and critical damage stats as well as an excellent status chance, so we'll be building it around scaling status damage with Galvanized Aptitude and getting c?ritical hits. A weapons platform frame like Gauss is a perfect pairing with the Trumna.

The playstyle here is simple, sure, but satisfying. Simply charge up your Trumna's alternate fire by getting five kills, then activate you?r alternate fire for a room-clearing explosion courtesy of a bouncing grenade. If you've got a solid Riven, this weapon can get mind-bogglingly powerful.

The best Trumna Prime mods in Warframe

Trumna Prime Warframe build
Screenshot by Destructoid

The name of the game with mods is mitigating the Trumna's intense recoil with Stabilizer,?? boosting critical chance and damage with Vital Sense and Critical Delay, adding in viral damag?e, and then scaling that with Galvanized Aptitude. The last mod here is flexible, so feel free to add in a Riven.

Arcane: Primary Merciless

Exilus: Stabilizer

Mods:

  • Primed Cryo Rounds (Can swap with Rime Rounds)
  • Malignant Force
  • Galvanized Aptitude
  • Galvanized Chamber
  • Critical Delay
  • Vital Sense
  • Vile Acceleration
  • Radiated Reload (Can swap with Hammer Shot, Primed Firestorm, or a Riven)

On its own, the Trumna deals heat and impact damage, while we're modding for viral and radiation damage. Together, this gives you quite a few elements to sca?le Galvanized Aptitude's damage off. If you'd prefer a higher status chance over extra viral damage, Rime Rounds works fine, too.

The flex mod slot here is Radiated Reload. The Trumna's reload speed is rath??er slow, so this mod is nice to have, but Hammer Shot is a reliable pick, increasing status chance and critical damage. With Ha??mmer Shot, you won't need to swap Primed Cryo Rounds for Rime Rounds, either.

Primed?? Firestorm is another option, but keep in mind that it'll only work with the Trumna's alternate fire. And the alternate fire grenade bounces around, already dealing damage in a fairly large range. Ideally, if you've got the currency for it, a good Riven is perfect for this particular build.

There’s always been some debate around whether or not games are art, but in the late aughts and early 0s, some decided to really push for it. Sometimes, this resulted in kind of mostly successful experiments like Citizen Abel: Gravity Bone or Limbo, while other times we got more unfortunate, pretentious attempts like The Path.

It was a really insecure time for video games. We seemed to want some sort of permission to take this hobby seriously, so it’s like, collectively, as players and developers, we tried to prove video games were something they weren’t. Oh, they’re totally art. You can see that in games about flipping eggs and trimming hedges. But it’s more about harnessing the interactive element to get that piece of yourself across. A developer might try to capture how they think or see the world by asking you to live it. I’m not sure what The Path was supposed to say. Don’t do what you’re told?

We’ve largely moved past that, or at the very least, games that are 100% message have more of a purpose. A self-assuredness. It often feels more earnest and less pretentious. Which makes Miniatures something of a blast from the past.

Miniatures (PC [Reviewed], Switch, Mobile)
Developer: Other Tales Interactive
Publisher: Other Tales Interactive
Released: November 14th, 2024
MSRP: $5.99

Now, I’m not actually saying Miniatures is pretentious. No, I'm the pretentious one today. But, it’s at least making no mystery of the fact that it’s a digital art exhibit. What I mean is that it is only interactive-adjacent, and it is very art. I wouldn’t even call it narratively focused be?cause the stories are pretty abstract. You’ll eit?her connect with them, maybe just find them amusing, or maybe you won’t.

For me, it reminds me of extremely late nights of being bored in front of Teletoon. Nights when my parents were out, so I had free reign of the TV and could watch whatever bizarre concoction was on the stat??ion in the later hours.

Teletoon would often air things from The National Film Board of Canada, which was actually the butt of a Simpsons joke back in the day (not while they were still good). Very cultural stuff, but a lot of it was extremely strange. Sometimes, it would be something relaxingly amusing. Other times, it would be a piece of Canadiana, with the deepest of it being something from our aboriginal cultures. When you’re a pre-teen at 11 pm, it doesn’t matter what it was. Any attempt by an animation student to stret?ch their legs would hit like some sort of forbidden fever dream.

That’s what Miniatures took me back to; a decaffeinated Saturday night in my father’s La-Z-Boy. It’s four short chapters that sometimes make you poke the screen. On Switch and mobile, you can literally poke the screen, bu?t here I was just poking it with my mouse pointer. Clicking, if you will.

//youtu.be/3Tma3zvYOoM?feature=shared

I’m not trying to be dismissive, but the interactivity is very basic in Miniatures. One of the chapters has you trying to arrange a band of small sand-critters in a little sand-critter town in an extremely roundabout way. This was by far the most amusing one for me, as you largely press on places you think something should happen and then watch while that something happen??s. It’s well-animated and amusing, so that’s something.

There’s one where you pan the screen around to follow a story, and every so often, you need to click on something in the environment to uncover a trigger that allows you to move on. This one was my least favorite, not because of the lack of interactivity bu?t because I didn’t connect with it. As far as I could see, it was a directionless story that wanted to look like it had something to say but didn’t say anything at all. Or maybe I just didn’t see the message.

As for the other two, I can at least understand what they’re trying to communicate, but I think a lot of Miniatures fails because it will elicit a feeling and then not do anything with it. They don't use that feeling to deliver any sort of message. These are short, short little chapters miniature, if you will so if they want you to just soak in the feeling, then there isn’t much time to do so. One strength in the artistic side of video games is that by having the player take part in something, you can hold their head beneath whatever you’re trying to convey, and when they're good and soaked, hit them with what you want to say. Miniatures neither has a point nor does it drown you ?f??or very long.

Miniatures Sand Castle people.
Screenshot by Destructoid

But, with those last two, I at least got the vibe they were putting down. One seemed to focus on childhood loneliness and discovery, while another gave a sense of tension and dread. I’ve found I’m typically able to pick up on subtext, even in games that aren’t taking an art-first approach, so I’m not deaf to what’s going on in Miniatures. I mostly hav??e two problems. Number one: I don’t think it leverages the advantages of an interactive medium for conveying ideas. Number two: I don’t connect with the ideas that are here.

This makes it kind of hard to review a game like this because its effectiveness will vary from person to person, and I can’t speak to what you’ll feel. Maybe you’ll see yourself reflected in one or all of the games here. What I can say is that from an interactive standpoint, as well as a narrative one, I find Miniatures lac??king. In comparison to other games that I would applaud for their contributions and approach to the art form, this wouldn’t be ??high on the list, but I wouldn’t throw it away wholesale, either.

Lancetfish Paella is a complicated five-star dish you can make in Disney Dreamlight Valley, which requires tough fish to mak??e. It's located in a far-off space that is hard to reach for newcomers to the game.

Where to find Lancetfish Paella Disney Dreamlight Valley ingredients

You'll require five different ingredi??ents to make Lancetfis??h Paella. They are:

  • Lancetfish
  • Tomato
  • Shrimp
  • Any kind of seafood like Shrimp or Squid
  • Rice

Lancetfish can be fished from the Forgotten Lands. It's the hardest biome to reach in Disney Dreamlight Valley, unfortunately, and will require a lot of Dreamlight to unlock. Once you've finally reached the dark area, fish from the ponds in the area and look for blue ripples. ??This is where the Lancetfish lurk. You may get other kinds of? fish from the catch too but be persistent. I was able to find mine the first time, however.

Tomatoes and their seeds can be bought at Goofy's Stall in Dazzle Beach. The seeds can be bought for 8 Star Coins each from one of Mickey's best friends. You may be lucky because the tomatoes themselves may be up for sale too. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case today for me. You might also find a fresh Tomato from Wall-E's garden; thankfully, luck was on my side this time. They're also used as a Ratatouille ingredient.

Shrimp can be caught while fishing at Dazzle Beach nearby Goofy's Stall, thankfully. Catching two of them is easier to do for any kind of seafood addition, but if you have any spare Squid in your inventory ??you might as well use that. While trying to catch Shrimp, look for blue ripples in the ocean.

Lastly, Rice can be bought at Goofy's Stall in the G??lade of Trust. You can buy the seeds for 35 Star Coins each or the ingredient itself fo??r 92 Star Coins. It's worth the extra money to just get the ingredient, but if you want to save money, you can grow the Rice yourself.

Where to cook

You can cook your meal at any stove in Disney Dreamlight Valley. There's one in your house or if you've finished Remy's realm in the castle, at Chez Remy. Thr??ow all of the ingredients in the pot, and you should have your Lancetfish Paella. Bon appetite!

As part of the Beginning of Misfortune Ant Nest Exploration Quest in Throne and Liberty, players are tasked with finding and then defe?ating a Honeypot Ant. But finding a specific ant within a nest can be considered as easy as finding a needle in a haystack, or at least that's how it was supposed to be.

Here's where to find and how to defeat a Honeypot Ant in Throne and Liberty, as well as where to find the Giant Acid Ant.

Where to Find and How to Defeat the Honeypot Ant in Throne and Liberty

Unlike all of the other enemies located inside the Ant Nest, you will need to force a Honeypot Ant to appear to defeat it, a feat you can accomplish by defeating a set number of ants around a Honeypot Egg. The eggs will be e??asy to spot, given their bright yellow light. As you can see below, I found one by heading to the northwestmost portion of the Spawning Ground area.

The location of the Honeypot Ant in Throne and Liberty.

After you make the Honeypot Ant appear, there will be no secret to defeating it, as it will be significantly weaker than even the regular Working and Soldier Ants found in spades around the area. If you don't want to have to face all of? the ants featured between the entrance of the dung??eon and the egg, you will be able to get past them undisturbed by morphing into a creature. In my case, the Toximaw Spider did the job well.

The Star-born faces the Honeypot Ant in Throne and Liberty.

Where to Find and How to Defeat the Giant Acid Ant

Now that the Honeypot Ant is done with and if you have already acquired the area's Expedition Records, you will only need to defeat the Giant Acid Ant to complete Beginning o?f Misfortune. A??s you can see below, you can find the Giant Acid Ant by heading to the lower portion of the Garbage Dump area, located in the eastmost portion of the map.

Unlike any other enemies within the nest, however, I don't recommend facing the Giant Acid Ant alone while a?t level 30-40, as it will have a massive health pool and the ability to drain your HP in seconds through poison. If that is not enough, facing the ant will also mean going against all of the ones surrounding your target.

Now that you know where to find both the Honeypot and the Giant Acid Ant, don't forget to also check out how to defeat the Dark Specter in Throne and Liberty.

With Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's rapid p??rogression system, it can be hard to keep track of all your stats as you swiftly rise through the Prestiges.

You can find all the information you need about your multiplayer stats in the Combat Record. If you're not sure we're to find this, I've got you covered - here's how you can view all your Combat Record stats in Black Ops 6.

How to view Combat Record stats in Black Ops 6

Viewing your Combat Record stats in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is simple. Follow these steps to keep track:

  • Open Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Multiplayer
  • Head to the "Barracks" tab along the top of the screen
  • Press "Stats" then "Combat Record"

Voila! You're in the Black Ops 6 Combat Record. You can also go straight there by pressing the "Launcher Menu" button in the top-right corner of your screen and pressing "Combat Re??cord." This is represented by six small rectangles - you can't miss it??.

Once in the Black Ops 6 Combat Record, you can keep track of a??ll t??he following stats:

  • Time played
  • Games played
  • Average Eliminations per game
  • Score per minute
  • Win/Loss ratio
  • Elimination/Death ratio
  • Total wins and losses
  • Total Eliminations and deaths
  • Highest Elimination streak
  • Highest Eliminations in one game
  • Best weapons by total Eliminations and Eliminations/Death ratio
  • Recent matches (stats for last ten matches)
  • Total Victories by game mode

Every time you Prestige in Black Ops 6, a new tab is added? to your Combat Record stats. This shows you all of the above stats per Prestige, allowing y??ou to see the improvements (or decline) in your performance over time. Don't worry - you can still view your lifetime stats on the main tab.

Can I check K/D ratio in Black Ops 6?

Sadly not - K/D ratio has been replaced with Elim/D ratio in Black Ops 6, which adds any assists to your total tally. There's no way to check classic K/D li?ke back in the day.

Does the Black Ops 6 Combat Record track Zombies stats?

No. You can tra??ck your Zombies stats by heading to the "Leaderboards" tab in the "Barracks." From there, select "Zombies??" to track tons of different stats across these categories:

  • Career
  • Eliminations
  • Rounds
  • Critical Damage
  • Maps

You can filter these stats by Friends or Global to see where you stack up in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 rankings.

  • Question #2: Do you dream often? No
  • Question #3: Do you prefer spells and sorcery to swords and sweat? No
  • Question #4: Do you find the company of unfamiliar people tiresome? No
  • Question #5: Are you able to prevent failure from preying upon your mind? No
  • Question #6: Is your circle of acquaintances wide and varied? Yes
  • Question #7: Do you pay much heed to the gossip of others? Yes
  • Question #8: Do you believe the world to be filled more with sadness than with joy? Yes (Answering it in any other way will lock you from the Forest Test)

Keep in mind that even if your first question does not match ours, answering any of the questions above, as shown, will unlock the one below it and set you on the path toward the Forest Test. I, however, recommend restarting your?? playthrough until your first question matches ours for an easier time. Unlike the fan-favorite Vamp, Tough Cookie can be unlocked no matter your hero's gender.

How to Push the Boulders During the Forest Test

After answering all of the questions as shown above and being teleported into the Forest Test, you will be able to push the boulder toward the old m??an by simply heading left while facing it. As you can guess, there's no way to speed up the process apart from running and skipping the dialogue. In other words, if you want to start as a Tough Cookie, you will need to go back and forth 40 times. There's no need to keep count, though, as the old man will let you know once you deliver ??your fortieth boulder.

The hero pushes their fortieth boulder and unlocks the Tough Cookie Personality in DQ 3.

You can momentarily change the Personality of any of your party members (including the Hero) in DQ 3 HD-2D by equipping them with the Weightlifter's Belt, which can be acquired by heading to the Mini Med??al Manor and talking to Morgan Minimann after acquiring 35 Mini Medals. You can reach Mini Medal Manor by? jumping down a well located on the lower left portion of the Aliahan map, more specifically on the spot below:

Known for developing games of high-quality and excellent writing, Obsidian Entertainment's fantasy RPG Avowed is no doubt on a lot of people's radars. The Fallout: New Vegas studio is looking to release its new title early next year, ??but there is an opportunity to play it sooner.

However, it will necessitate forking over some extra dough. According to a recent blog post on Xbox Wire, you can get a copy of Avowed on February 13 as opposed to February 18 if you're prepare??d to buy the Premium Edition.

//twitter.com/AvowedtheGame/status/1857126870560473232

How to get Avowed Early Access as easily as possible

You can pre-order the more expensive version of the game, which will set you back $90 instead of $7??0 for the Standard Edit?ion. In addition to getting to download and play "up to" five days earlier, the Premium Edition also gives you access to a digital artbook and soundtrack, as well as two premium skin packs.

The post goes on to say pre-orders are available on Xbox Series X|S, the Xbox App, Steam, and even Blizzar??d's Battle.net service. You can also, if you so choose, buy the Standard Edition and upgrade to Premium at a later date, which will give you the bonuses plus the ea??rly access. It will, however, cost you an additional $25 for the privilege.

Avowed will also be available on Game Pass from day one. Additionally, Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers can play via their Battle.net?? membership.

As for the exclusive skin pack, these have been inspired by "characters and regions from Pillars of Eternity." If you're like me and you're wondering if you need to have played this game before diving into Avowed, it seems as though that won't be necessary.

Although the latter does take place in the same universe as the former, no knowledge of Pillars of Eternity is required. If you're a fan of Obsidian games overall, then Avowed sounds like it's going to be one to look out for, whether you?? pl?ay it five days early or not.

With the release of Black Op 6 Season 1, many weapons in the roster received a significant balance pass to better suit the game state. Here's a list of every weapon balance change m??ade in Season 1.

All Balance Changes in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1

Despite havin?g many of the same weapons available, the balance passes for Multiplayer and Zombie modes are treated differently, so I'll provide the changes for each mode separately.

Multiplayer Balance Changes

Multiplayer received the largest assortment of changes across most weapon types despite the relatively decent balance and usage rates since release. All weapons received the following changes:

  • Adjusted weapon motion while moving and changing stances to improve aiming feel and centering (especially with optics).
  • Hold Breath focus state will now be maintained while firing if applicable.
  • Improved Weapon depth of field settings when performing a Weapon Inspect.

The Halo series is as well known for its epic campaign missions as it is for its awesome selection of multiplayer maps. For well over two decades, both Bungie and 343 Industries have crafted unforgettable campaign experiences?, which are (mostly) centered around the story of the Master Chief.

We know Halo levels are great, but which ones are the cream of the crop? I've whittled them down to the 10 best Halo campaign missions of all time - I reckon there are some surprising c??hoices you won't expect here.

10. Midnight

best Halo campaign missions

  • Game: Halo 4

It should come as no surprise to learn that Halo 4's Midnight is the only 343 Industries mission on this list. The mission begins with a Star Wars-esque trench run unlike anything the series has seen before, almost resembling Star Fox in its gameplay approach.

It then moves to an intense, non-stop combat sequence as Halo 4 hurtles towards its conclusion. Combined with Neil Davidge's thundering track, "Arrival," this sequence arguably does a better job of making you feel like an ?unstoppable Spartan than anything else in the series. It's 343's best work in the series' campaigns, topped off with an emotional climax involving Cortana.

9. Mombasa Streets

best Halo campaign missions
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Game: Halo 3: ODST

It's a little cheeky to call Halo 3: ODST's Mombasa Streets a mission. It's more of a hub for you to wander and get lost in the streets of New Mombasa, solving the mystery of the rookie's missing sq?uadmates??.

Mombasa Streets oozes atmosphere at every turn, more so than any level in the Halo series. Marty O'Donnell's piercing saxophone soundtrack creates an overwhelming feeling of loneliness, while the dark of the night makes it feel as though danger awaits around every corner (and it does). The?re's even an AI embedded into the city's technology, which directs you away from d??anger by lighting up street signs.

8. Assault on the Control Room

best Halo campaign missions
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Game: Halo: Combat Evolved

By far Halo: Combat Evolved's longest mission, Assault on the Control Room is proof that variety is the spice of life. This level allows you to use every singl??e vehicle in the game, including the Scorpion for the first and only time. Every weapon, too, except for the shotgun.

It's this variety that makes Assault on the Control Room stand out among other Halo missions. Like it or not, you're forced to take part in every different combat style here - vehicular, long-ranged, and close-quarters. It finds a del??icate balance perfectly.

7. Halo

best Halo campaign missions
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Game: Halo 3

Halo 3's final mission, Hal??o, earns its spot here based on the thrilling Warthog finale alone. As the game (and Bungie's entire trilogy) comes to an end, you must commandee?r a Warthog through an epic run of obstacles.

Moving through the level, the entire Halo installation is collapsing around you. Explosions, falling floors - go too slow, and you're doomed. It's a perfect throwback to Halo: Combat Evolved's own Warthog?? run in The Maw, but better in every way.

6. Coastal Highway

best Halo campaign missions
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Game: Halo 3: ODST

Bungie really nails a final mission, huh? Halo 3: ODST's Coastal Highway largely takes place on the titular highway. Throughout, you protect the slow-moving Elephant from ?defending Covenant forces, while the ch?aos of the Battle of Earth erupts around you, perfectly capturing the sense of impending doom.

It culminates in one final standoff at the entrance of the Uplift Nature Reserve. You and your squad face waves of incoming Covenant forces, like an intense game of Firefight. It's one final stand while awaiting rescue, capping off a near-perfect Halo mission.

5. Halo

best Halo campaign missions
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Game: Halo: Combat Evolved

It's another level called Halo. In another Halo game. It makes sense, I promise. Halo set the standard for what the series' level design looks like at its best, with a vast open mission that sees you rescuing marines from various structures across the map. It's a great mix of Warthog gameplay and close-quarters combat, introducing you to various Halo: Combat Evolved mechanics early.

If the previous mission, The Pillar of Autumn, set the expectation that Halo: Combat Evolved was going to be yet another corridor shooter (as was prevalent in early 2000s FPS games), then Halo shattered it immediately. It represents a near-series best for Halo campaign missions right at the very beginning.

4. The Silent Cartographer

best Halo campaign missions
Screenshot by Destructoid

The Silent Cartographer opens with a blast. An iconic beach scene that, I promise, felt more impressive then than it does now. For many players, The Silent Cartographer's opening was the moment they realized they were p??laying something truly special.

The rest of the level rules, too, offer great var????iety between short outdoor vehicle sections and well-designed interior combat encounters. But the opening assault on the beach as you storm out of the Warthog is the centerpiece here.

3. Metropolis

best Halo campaign missions
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Game: Halo 2

Metropolis is the only Halo 2 mission on this list, but it's number 3 for a reason. It's a short level, but one so action-packed you can't ignore it. You start Metropolis on a bridge with a Scorpion, blasting your way across it with ease. Is it challenging? No. But it's awesome, and isn't that what really matters?

After the bridge section, you find yourself in the inner city, the? Metropolis, if you will. Most players make their way through the city in the provided Gauss Warthog, emphasizing Metropolis' vehicle-heavy gameplay. Then you board a Scarab! It's the definition of "short and sweet."

2. The Ark

best Halo campaign missions
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Game: Halo 3

The Ark is Halo 3 at its best. Starting out with a sniping sequence, it then moves from one chaotic vehicle?? setpiece to another. Not to mention the epic Scarab fight, whic??h, by the end of this colossal mission, feels more like a reward than a challenge.

The highlight of The Ark is the landing of the enormous Forward U?nto Dawn frigate, which descends upon you while blowing away everything in its path. As it casts its massive shadow over you, it's immediately clear you're witnessing one of the coolest video game moments ever. If you know, you know.

1. The Covenant

best Halo campaign missions
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Game: Halo 3

That the two mission run of The Ark and The Covenant make up the top two spots on this list is a miracle. The latter half of Halo 3's campaign is remarkable,?? and The Covenant is where it all peaks.

From Warthog gameplay, Hornet combat, and a great mix of tight hallway gunplay and open battlefields to fight on, The Covenant has it all. It all culminates in that fight against two Scarabs simultaneously, resulting in the best setpiece the series has ever produced. Forget the Halo series - The Covena?nt is one of the best FPS missions ever made.

Baldur's Gate 3 takes you on a wondrous journey through one of Dungeons & Dragons' most iconic settings. However, your trek through the Sword C?oast may hit a snag if the in-game camera gives you a lopsided view of the world.

The camera controls in Baldur's Gate 3 can be tricky to figure out, especially if BG3 is your first experience with top-down ??role-playing games. Luckily, I've spent almost a hundred ho??urs playing this game, so I can tell you everything you need to know to master its camera.

How to control the camera in BG3 with a mouse and keyboard

Baldur's Gate 3 camera tutorial.
Image via Destructoid

If you're playing Baldur's Gate 3 on a gaming computer, you control the camera with select keys on your keyboard and a few HUD buttons you can click with your mouse. The game gives you a pretty nice tutorial on using the camera whenever you start a new game, but it doesn't tell you everything, so here's a more thorough? rundown.

  • W/S/D/W Keys—You can use the W/S/D/W keys to pan the camera around the immediate area. If that doesn't suit you, you can do this by using the arrow keys.
  • Q and E Keys - The Q and E keys let you spin the camera around in a circle. You can also do this by holding down the middle mouse button.
  • Page Up and Page Down Keys - You can use the Page Up and Page Down keys to zoom the camera in or out. You can also do this by spinning the middle mouse button or clicking the zoom-in and zoom-out buttons next to the map.
  • O Key—Press the O key to enter Tactical View. T gives you a top-down view of your surroundings. This view is fantastic for combat situations, giving you a bird's-eye view of the action to detect hidden enemies and see whether the terrain will block your attacks.

Once you familiarize yourself with these key commands, your Baldur's Gate 3 journey will be as cinematic as it is fun to play.

How to use Edge Panning in BG3

Baldur's Gate 3 Edge Panning settings in the Options menu.
Image via Destructoid

Edge Panning is an additional camera option that allows you to move the camera by moving the mouse around the edge of the screen. This is an excellent optio??n if you don't want to use the A/S/D/W or Arrow Keys to move the camera.

To turn on Edge Panning, open the "Options" menu and scroll down to the bottom of the "Gameplay" tab. You should see Edge Panning as the seco??nd option in the Camera section. If you use Edge Panning and have a multi-screen setup, I'd recommend flicking the Lock Mouse to Window option to "On" so your mouse doesn't go high-wire when it jumps to another screen.

How to control the camera in BG3 with a controller

Baldur's Gate 3 Controller layout.
Image via Destructoid

Whether you've plugged a gaming controller into your computer or are playing Baldur's Gate 3 on the PS5 or Xbox Series X/S, a radically different control scheme awaits you. Controlling the camera with a controller plays much ??differently than steering it with a mouse and keyboard, but it's still?? easy to get the hang of.

  • Clicking up, down, left, and right on the left control stick will pan the camera left, right, up, and down.
  • Tilting left and right on the right control stick rotates the camera.
  • Cranking up and down on the right stick lets you zoom in and out.
  • Push on the left stick to recenter the camera on your character if it ever gets away from you.
  • Zooming out all the way out with the right stick will shift you into Tactical View. Zoom back in to get out of it.

With all that covered, you shouldn't have any problem working Baldur's Gate 3's camera. Be sure to check out all our BG3 if you're wondering which Feat to give your party or how to defeat challenging bosses standing in your way.

Let me preface this whole shebang by acknowledging that modders do largely?? thankless, unpaid work so the rest of us can enjoy the games we love just a little bit more.

With that out of the way: Archived in a now locked Reddit thread, the pressure of community demands and review bombing was enough for Cedar Hill mod creator Try Honestly to push an update to their mod, with over 200,000 subscribers on Steam, corrupting the save files of every pla?yer involved.

"I've rarely received any support from the community," Try Honestly said on the ??now-deleted Steam Workshop page of their mod. "This mod is ??my creation, and I can do whatever I want with it. Sharing it doesn't entitle anyone to sit back and throw unsolicited opinions." See the full statement below:

A forum post by mod creator Try Harder from the Steam Workshop page for their mod Cedar Creek.
Image via r/ExpertPerformer

Along with feeling burned by a few community members' overzealous demands and threats, Try Honestly also mentions that several individuals began review-bombing their other mods. What initially began as a simple delisting of the mod d?ue to a desire to move on quickly turned sour, with players who hadn't yet been able to download the mod hurtling threats at the creator.

Try Honestly will certainly be banned by Steam for this outburst, per th??e Subscriber Agreement:

"...you agree that any Subscriber receiving distribution of your Workshop Contribution will ha??ve the same rights to use your Workshop Contribution (and will be subject to the?? same restrictions) as are set out in this Agreement for any other Subscriptions."

Luckily, if you were one of the players affected, there may be a solution. A mirror of the mod is still available for download from Sky Mods. I?? wish everyone affected a very "your save loads properly and you can enjoy the game again."

Hooded Horse has announced that Long Jaunt’s noble family management game, Norland, has reached Patch 26. T?his one might be the largest yet, as it adds family trees, new NPCs, a?nd perhaps most notably an overhaul to the world map.

Norland launched into early access in kind of rough shape. The framework was there, but I found it to be unbalanced and required too much juggling to really enjoy. As I described it in my early access review, none of its facets have any time to b??reathe, leading to thi??ngs breaking down.

Since the time I played it, the devs have been hitting it hard and fast with updates to addr?ess player concerns. The gusto is admirable. I haven’t jumped back into the game since my initial encounter, but I have seen certain tweaks that seem like they would make things more palatable. Things like cutting down on the amount of babysitting the peasants need.

Norland World Map
Image via Hooded Horse

Here’s what information I have on the update: “The latest update for Norland completely overhauls the world map with new sprites, more topology, and more regional diversity. Players will start each game battling for control over a single region before transitioning to the “worldstage and fighting over nation-states of different cultures. The overall map size is also bigger now, and a previous patch allows players to compel nearby vassals to tackle distant issues, freeing their own nobles to focus on matters closer to home./p>

On top of that, an added family tree means you can keep track of your lineage so that, I don’t know, you can keep second cousins from marrying?? each other. If you can stop them. There are also new “guestNPC ch?aracters such as cultists and pilgrims. I’m not sure why “guestis in quotes, but that’s how it is in the press release.

Norland is currently in Early Access and available on PC. A??lso, it's on sale for 35% until December 4, 2024??.

Over 30 million players have pre-registered for the latest entry in the Nikki series, and the release date is finally in place. You'll be able to leap into Miraland and dress up all fancy when Infinity Nikki launches worldwide on D?ecember 5, 2024.

Following up on last month's closed beta, Infinity Nikki has its sights set on PlayStation 5, PC, and iOS and Android devices. You can see some of the colorful open world and sample pop artist Jessie J's theme song, "Together Til Infinity," in the release date trailer ?below.

Kentaro Tominaga—who previously worked on Nintendo titles like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, among others—is at the helm for this one. Infinity Nikki lets players explore the world of Miraland, taking on?? puzzles, digging up secrets, and putting on their fiercest duds f?or fashion contests.

There are other characters to?? meet, and story quests to accept along the way. It all looks and sounds like a pretty pleasant little adventure, with more dress than stress on the menu. If you didn't get a chance to see how it plays during the recent beta, you'll be able to set out on this delightfully poppy adventure early next month.

And y??es, that song is going to be in my head for the rest of the day, too. It's definitely fitting for something that bill??s itself as "the coziest open-world game."

Blizzard's Warcraft Direct stream celebrated 30 years of the franchise, bringing out various teams to make announcements about their upcoming projects. None were as baffling, yet exciting, as the announcement that StarCraft was coming to Hearthstone. The catch is that it's "only" a mini-set.

The current expansion of Hearthstone is titled "The Great Dark Beyond." It focuses on the Draenei's adventures through space. It's made for some great art, but ultimately, it's a fairly "okay" set at best. The starships aren't terribly fun to play with, the balance is awful, and the general design feels very haphazard. (How is there a set that takes place in the icy, cold depths of space, and Death Knights don't?? have a single Frost rune card?)

As with every expansion since Madness at the Darkmoon Faire, there will be a mini-set to follow in January. For the first time, it will focus on one of Blizzard's other IPs: StarCraft.

StarCraft heroes in the Hearthstone miniset
Screenshot of Blizzard video taken by Destructoid

The StarCraft-themed mini-set will contain 49 new cards, more than the typical 38. The three races of the spacefaring series will be divvied up among the various classes of Hearthstone, each with gameplay styles to reflect their StarCraft counterparts. At the front of each faction is a familiar StarCraft hero.

  • Zerg: Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Hunter, and Warlock are led by Kerrigan.
  • Protoss: Druid, Mage, Priest, and Rogue are led by Artanis.
  • Terran: Paladin, Shaman, and Warrior are led by Jim Raynor.

The mini-set itself will also feature new music. Here's hoping there's actually a board this time. This isn't Hearthstone's first foray into other Blizzard IPs. The defunct Mercenaries mode featured the Lord of Terror himself, Diablo, as a playable hero, who also mad?e an appearance in Battlegrounds and Duels.

A preview of further things to come

We now also have the next three Hearthstone expansions announced, as well as an impending revamp of the Arena mode. The Year of the Raptor will start next year around March with the release of "Into the Emerald Dream." The new expansion will feature exactly what you think because there are no more fun surprises in Hearthstone. It's Druids fighting Old Gods in the popular Emerald Dream location from WarCraft. The mini-set will feat??ure the only other villain they could think of, the?? Druids of the Flame.

Hearthstone 2025 roadmap
Screenshot of Blizzard video taken by Destructoid

The next expansion will be "The Shrouded City," and it will be a direct follow-up to 2017's Journey to Un'Goro. Itwill be about the League of Explorers looking for a lost Tortollan city in the jungles of Un'Goro. The mini-set here will fo?cus on Tortollans celebrating the "Festival of The Devilsaur."

Finally, "The Heroes of Time" will be next year's final expansion. You'll travel with Chromie to alternate realities to recruit WarCraft heroes "like you've never seen them before," or so Blizzard says. Considering how many Bronze Dragonflight shenanigans we just went through in the last World of Warcraft expansion, I doubt we'll see too much new here.

Arena Mode is getting a significant revamp for the first time in the game's history. It will be split into two modes: Normal And Undergroun.. Normal Arena will be shorter, allowing you to complete runs quick?er. This is the more casual variant. More competitive players will want to go to the high-stakes "Underground Arena," where your runs will be longer, and you'll have a new "Re-Draft on Loss" feature. After you lose, you have the option to re-draft your cards, edit your deck, and jump back in. Details about the new reward structure (and the length of the runs under the new system) are sparse??. The revamped Arena mode is expected to launch sometime after the start of The Year of the Raptor.

I never thought I'd see the day when I would reach my forties (laugh it up) and Doom would still be relevant in the gaming sphere. With The Dark Ages coming sometime in 2025, id Software's influential shooter franchise is still as ??strong as eve?r.

To say nothing of the modding community, which has been tweaking and tinkering with the classics since time immemorial. Most fan-made content may change much about the originals, but will typically keep it feeling like a traditional Doom game. However, one person decided to switch t??hings up a bit.

//youtu.be/EWfQDRnUrJU

ModDB user HELLKNIGHT61 thought it was high-time to remove the "FP" from "first-person shooter" and deliver a version of Doom that's more isometric. More specifically, they've taken the 1993 game and rebuilt it in the Age of Empires 2 engine, turning it into some sort of classic PC gaming amal??gamation.

Rip 'n' tear 'n' wololo

Now, before I go any further, I am aware that "Age of? DOOM" came out a ?year ago. According to the download page, it was released on November 9, 2023. However, it seems to have wormed its way onto the first couple of pages of ModDB and, honestly, I'm genuinely surprised I haven't come across this one already.

HELLKNIGHT61 describes the mod as both a "tactical shooter and isometric shooter game," with some point 'n' click elements to boot. Simply put: it takes the sprites and visuals from Doom (as well as the ultra violent Brutal Doom mod) and incorporates them into Age of Empire 2's otherwise green and pleasant lands.

It's also standalone, which means you don't need either of the official games in order to play "Age of DOOM." It features a tutorial scenario, a practice scenario, as well as a remake of the "Knee Deep in the Dead" chapter, which has nine maps. It's also recommended to start with the tutorial, beca??use a fast-paced shooter in an isometric world with tac??tical elements may not have the most intuitive gameplay.

Battle Resurrection (most commonly referred to as 'battle res') is one of the single most important aspects of a party or raid composition because of its ability to bring a player back from the brink of death in the midst of combat. Here's every class with the ability to battle res in World of Warcraft.

All Classes with Battle Rez in WoW

There are two main versions of WoW, and both differ in wh??ich classes have access to a battle res. Rather than list them together, allow me to separate the following lists? for your own clarity.

Battle Res classes in World of Warcraft: Classic

In WoW Classic, the only class that can cast any sort of in-combat resurrections is the Druid, and it is quite limited in its nature. The Druid's battle res is called Rebirth and it comes with a very hefty 30-minute cooldown once used, regulating it mostly to emergency situations only in any given encounter. Additionally, only Taurens and Night? Elfs can be Druids, further limiting its overall usage.

Battle Res classes in World of Warcraft: Retail

WoW Retail is the most current version of WoW, which is currently in the midst of its tenth expansion, The War Within. Since the days of the original vanilla WoW exper??ience, several other classes have gained access to a battle res of sorts.

World of Warcraft: The War Within Hellcaller Warlock Hero Talents

  • Druid - Like in WoW Classic, Druids can still battle res allies using their Rebirth spell, but they now face a reduced cooldown of 10 minutes, not factoring in additional talents. The racial limitation has also greatly decreased as the class now includes Worgen, Kul Tiran, Highmountain Tauren, Trolls, and Zandalari Trolls. This makes having a Druid in your party much more likely.

  • Death Knight - A class added back in Wrath of the Lich King, Death Knights have always had access to their Raise Ally battle res spell, although it worked very differently originally. Currently, it works identically to the Druid's Rebirth. Every race can be a Death Knight with the exception of Dracthyr, and the class is still very popular, so you'll likely end up in a party with one in most group content.

  • Warlock - Warlocks have a very unique battle res called Soulstone and it is superior to all other versions of the ability. Soulstone can be cast as your standard battle res, or can be used on a living target as a sort of pre-calculated battle res instead. This is why it is extremely common for healers to be the target of a Warlock's Soulstone, since they are often integral in group-orientated content. All Races can be a Warlock, so you'll commonly find them in your groups.
  • Hunter - Hunters also have a unique battle res through their Eternal Guardian, which is a pet-based battle res. This version works similarly to Raise Ally and Rebirth, but comes with the distinct downside of requiring a specific pet to be out on the field to make use of it. In endgame content, in order for Hunters to use Eternal Guardian, they often have to sacrifice a significant portion of their damage to swap pets. The act of doing this is also unwieldy due to the cast times involved during the process.

The War Within San'Layn Death Knight Hero Talents

Shared Battle Res Limitations

The standard encounter limit is one battle res every 10 minutes, which lines up with every class' battle res cooldown. There is also a maximum of up to three battle res casts allowe??d for longer fights. This limit applies to all battle res abilities collectively, regardless of the number of players who can perform a battle res in a party or raid.

As one of two shotguns available in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the ASG-89 excels at high-speed hip-fire-style? gameplay due to its incredibly generous spread. As suc??h, the best builds with this beast involve empowering that hip-fire gameplay further with the right loadout and attachments.

Unlocking the ASG-89 requires you to have been playing for a bit, requiring you to achieve a mid-progression rank of level 31. Once unlocked, it can be equipped at any time in the primary slot of your custom loa??douts.

What is the best build for the ASG-89 in Black Ops 6?

If you use the ASG-89 as it comes in stock, it may seem underwhelming to you, and I'd agree. This is one of the few weapons in Black Ops 6 that pretty much requires attachments to be made viable. This is largely due to its m?ediocre range and slow TTK (Time to Kill) beyond ver?y close ranges. Where it is excellent though is its hipfire, and the best build will focus heavily on this aspect while shoring up its weaknesses where possible.

  • Muzzle: Full Choke
  • Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
  • Magazine: Fast Mag 1
  • Rear Grip: Assault Grip
  • Stock: Balanced Stock
  • Laser: Steady Aim Laser
  • Fire Mods: Rapid Fire

ASG-89 Customize in Black Ops 6

Starting off, the Full Choke muzzle attachmen??t reduces the hipfire spread of the ASG-89, allowing for better accuracy and an inherent improvement to its ability to engage targets at a distance. Since you will only be firing this gun for the hip, this is one of its more important stats to be concerned with.

The Reinforced Barrel boosts both the weap??on's Damage Range and Bullet Velocity further extending its engagement distance.

With the Ranger Foregrip equipped, you will sprint faster with the gun, which is important since the ideal pla??ce on the battlefield for i??t is up close and personnel.

The Fast Mag 1 is yo?ur magazine of choice since it improves the ASG-89's Reload and Sprint to Fire speed at the cost of magazine ammo capacity. You want to be ready to fire as soon as possible with this gun.

ASG-89 in training - Black Ops 6
Screenshot by Destructoid

Using the Assault Grip on the ASG-89 doubles down on improving the weapons Spri?nt to Fire speed.

With the Balanced Stock equipped, your Movement ??Speed across the board is dramatically increased. This is great for closing?? distance and helps you avoid enemy bullets in the midst of a firefight.

The Steady Aim Laser ??doubles down on improving the ASG-89's hipf??ire spread, its effects stacking with the aforementioned Full Choke attachment.

Finally, the Rapid Fire attachment is a requirement for the ASG-89 to be considered functional. This mod alone significantly improves this weapon's performance by let?ting you fire it off more often. A faster fire rate means a faster TTK, which means you'll win more fights in general at all viable engagement distances.

Best Equipment and Perks for the ASG-89 in Black Ops 6

With the above attachments, the ASG-89 is a strong aggressive weapon for direct engagements that can be used anywhere if you come with the right loadout. As such, the Equipment and Perks setup you should use should support this weapon by helping you get as cl??ose to the enemy as possible before engaging.

  • Tactical: Smoke or Stim Shot
  • Lethal: Semtax
  • Field Upgrade: Sleeper Agent
  • Perk 1: Ninja
  • Perk 2: Tracker
  • Perk 3: Double Time
  • Wildcard: Gunfighter

ASG-89 in action - Black Ops 6

The ideal Tactical should be Smoke as it allows you to obscure sight lines long enough for you slip through to the enemy's backline without noticing you. Ninja also helps with this, preventing the enemy from hearing you coming until it's far too late. Double Time lets you move at full speed for significantly longer than normal. Finally, Gunfighter is a necessit??y so you can equip the abo?vementioned perks.

Great God Grove puts you in the boots of a Godpoke, which is, as far as I can tell, a sort of courier. To be honest, I’m not clear on a few concepts here. For all I know, a Godpoke might just be someone who wears a poncho. You arrive at the eponymous grove just in time to see?? the gods close a giant rift in the sky that threatens to end the world. The problem is that the gods aren’t entirely interested in saving the wo??rld. They’re far too wrapped up in their own problems.

Previous to your arrival, the last messenger of the gods, the mysterious King, sent letters out to all the gods. The letters are obvious attempts to drive wedges between them, but as King had always been a trusted friend and reliable enough to be elected to become the next god, they took those words at face value. Now, nothing is right in the grove despite being a cruci??al time for the whole world.

Before you even get to the grove, King’s trusty mail cannon, the Megapon, lands directl??y in your lap. With this device, you can suck the words out of one person’s mouth and slap them in the face of another. Or just right back at them. That happens sometimes.

Being the wise person you are (or maybe just because it’s a linear narrative), you set to work righting King’s wrong. Immediately, you’re deputized by Inspekta, the God of Leadership, to help their lackeys, the Bizzyboys, figure out what happened to King and why they decided to hurt everyone’s feelin??gs. However, the leader of the Bizzyboys, Capochin, is on??ly out to please his boss, while the rest of the members are completely incompetent and hapless. So, it all comes down to you.

Largely, Great God Grove resembles a point-and-click adventure game. You can’t suck up any sentence or grouping of words you want; only specific, highlighted things that characters say can go in your Megapon. In this way,? they work like any item in something like Secret o?f Monkey Island. You find hints in the words of the people you’re talking to and deliver something that will get them to perform some task for you, even if that’s just moving out of the way.

There’s a bit of a lear?ning curve. For the first area, I wasn’t picking up on the cues, but after the second, I was able to proceed with some expedience. I d?idn’t get hung up very often, but I have to wonder if that’s going to be everyone’s experience. Great God Grove has an unusual design language built around its central hook, and I’m not sure if gaming literacy will be as important here as actual literacy. I’m not sure if every player can adjust, or maybe I’m the odd one because I had some issues in the first area. I can only speak to my own experience, though, and in my experience, I didn’t have much of a problem for most of the game.

Each area of the grove is home to one or two gods. In each one, King has spread some sort of misinformation to throw things into chaos, and your overall goal is to sort things out to restore the status qu??o. So?unds easy, but being an adventure game, it takes more than an apology to work things out.

What really elevates Great God Grove above a typical adventure game is an abundance of style. It mixes 2D characters and objects with a 3D world Paper Mario-style. It’s based around Day Lane’s distinctive, sketchy, expressive s?tyle. While animation is sparse, each character has a massive range of poses and emot??ions that they transition to each new window of dialogue. It can be quite captivating.

Many of the ?gods are rendered in full 3D, ??but they’re styled in such a way that it can be hard to tell. Like the 2D folks, the gods spring from pose to pose, with more traditional animation thrown in occasionally to spice things up.

There are also live-action puppet vignettes that you can watch for not much reason aside from enrichment. They generally just involve the Bizzyboys giving advice and some background information about what’s going on in the world. As it turns out?, I’m really into puppets eating sandwiches.

There isn’t much out that that looks quite like Great God Grove. The style is executed so consistently and with so much blunt-force pizzazz that it’s incredible that just a handful of people put the whole thing together. There are so many facets of its visual style that look as though they would be v??ery difficult to execute, so the fact that they didn’t choose an easier, more conventional route is impressive. It pays off because, if absolutely nothing else, the way this game looks will be seared into you??r eyeholes.

Great God Grove has a lot to say about identity and the way people will stomp on others? just for recognition. The gods themselves aren’t much different than ordinary people. They just exist on a less accessible plane of ??existence. As such, even though you can walk up and talk to them, their followers seem to just believe what they hear and speculate on what they might be thinking, which often is what leads to miscommunication. Misinformation is rife, and people take advantage of that.

Humans seem hardwired to climb. There’s a fear that our lives will be meaningless or forgotten, so we strive for recognition. And to secure our recognition, we’ll often stomp down the people beneath us. We yearn to wear the stomping boots, and a decent person can turn awful the moment they put them on. You face a lot of that in Great God Grove.

At the same time, it’s a very optimistic game. With your intervention, the troublemakers you meet see the error in their ways and express a desire to atone for their actions. Call me cynical, but I find most people are more likely to become defensive when faced wi??th the consequences of their actions. People dig their stomping boots in and seek justification for what they’ve done. Maybe I just need a stronger word cannon.

In terms of gameplay, I could honestly take or leave Great God Grove. It has great pacing and a unique approach to the adventure genre, but I find the situations in which it’s applied generally unexciting. Not overly mundane, but I think with urgent focus on the threat and more dangerous situations,? the dialogue would have more of? a chance to shine. But it already shines pretty brightly.

Great God Grove is an immensely polished and precisely execute??d game, and that’s the most i??mpressive part about it. Its pacing and aesthetic are finely honed and there’s nary a loose thread to be found. A bit more punch and the narrative would be perfect, but it presents a good amount of depth to sink into. It also features puppets gnawing on a gigantic hoagie, and really, what more can you ask for?

The three goblin leaders in Baldur's Gate 3 are tough to handle, especially Dror Ragzlin. He deals a ton of damage to anyone he hits. However, with the right preparations, you can make it through. Here's how to take out Dror Ragzlin in Baldur's Gate 3.

How to take out the Baldur's Gate 3 Dror Ragzlin boss

The easiest way to defeat Dror Ragzlin in BG3 is to push all his goblin soldiers down the pit while your tankiest characters deal with him. Make sure you always have someone ready to?? heal whoever is taking blows from his Faithbreaker Warha?mmer. Keep his goblin allies away from him to prevent his Aura of Leadership from boosting their damage.

Howe??ver, you must not push him down the pit if you want Dror Ragzlin's magic Warham??mer, the Faithbreaker, or his Mind Flayer Parasite. Doing this makes him disappear from the fight completely, preventing you from looting him for his weapons and other miscellaneous trinkets. Only do this if you don't care about the drops and just want a quick win.

If you've already fought another one of the goblin leaders in Baldur's Gate 3, make sure to rest up before the Dror Ragzlin fight begins. Either a Short or a Long Rest at the camp will do. Taking the latter, however, will let you recover your more powerful spells and abilities. This red-skinned hobgoblin, Dror Ragzlin, is much more powerful than the othe??r two goblin bosses. He has a hefty?? 75 HP and is Level 5. He can dish out upwards of 21 damage in one strike, as well, so be careful.

Before taking on the Dror Ragzlin fight in BG3, find the war drum on the right-hand side. It's next to the stairway in the boss' combat area. If you fail to destroy it straight away with an arrow or a spell, you'll face nine enemies in total after taking out Dror Ragzlin. While this could be a fun challenge for some, it can be overwhelming for others, especially if you recently fought another boss. Have someone like Astarion nearby to eliminate the dru??m ASAP.

Try to take out Dror Ragzlin as quickly as possible during the fight. To do this, try to use a spell that stuns him for a move or two. I used Tasha's Hideous Laughter on him. It's not a guaranteed move, but it will leave Dror?? Ragzlin prone with crazed laughter if it lands. It'll phase him, leaving y??????????????????????????ou a chance to get a lot of damage in before he can even say hello.

You can also get in an extra attack with Lae'zel's Action Surge before attempting to take his hammer off his hands with a powerful Disarming Strike. Using several strikes in a row can really rack up the damage on him. Shadowheart's Inflict Wounds can also effectively lower a foe's health. H??i?s 75 HP will dwindle down to zero in no time.

Dror Ragzlin may also take a lot of health from your party, so try to get a healer into the squad to remedy a potentially bad situation. Just be careful while doing this during Dror Ragzlin's Honour Mode fight, as buffing your allies can make things complicate?d with his passive. Outside of that, you'll want to remove his minions from the picture. They'll be fairly easy to dispatch, but just in case, you can quick-save after eliminating Ragzlin if you're in one of the regular difficulty modes.

On the left-hand side, near the stairway, there's a ladder that can help archers get a? better aim at their victims down below. While using these yourself is a viable strategy for defeating Dror Ragzlin and his minions, you also have to be careful of them climbing up and attacking you. One push is all it takes to send your character to their death instantly.

It also helps if you can make it past the guards to avoid spending resources before fighting Dror Ragzlin. Every advantage counts, even if it means sacrificing some? initial EXP. You can always come back later and clean up any goblins you might've missed.

How to make it past the guards

Once you enter the goblin's prison, you're stopped at the front gate by security. Warrior Trinzas asks what your intentions are. There are multiple ways to go about this. As a magical class, I was able to peer through her mind. There's an Intelligence check, but it's fairly easy to beat, especially if you manually save just before the encounter. If you lose the roll, they will all attack you. When you succeed, she'll tell you ?about the True Souls that have gathered in their base.

Tell Trinzas that you're here for the True Souls, and th?ey'll let you through. You can also use some D??eception to pass through the guards. This is difficult, however, as you'll need to roll over 15 on your D20 dice. The first option is likely better if you're not specialized in Deception.

The second Co-Op Dungeon you will unlock in Throne and Liberty, Roaring Temple (also known as Temple of Roar) will put you up against two sub-bosses and the party?-killing machi??ne known as King Chimaerus.

But believe it or not, although a completely different beast compared to Specter’s Abyss, clearing the dungeon can be a fairly simple affair. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to complete the Roaring Temple Co-Op Dungeon in Throne and Liberty.

How to Complete the Roaring Temple Dungeon in Throne and Liberty

After diving into the Roaring Temple on any given role, you will need to first defeat two Ancient Zombie Mutts, one Ancient Shade Monk, and one Ancient Dark Shaman to break through its first barrier. Among the enemies, the Dark Shamam will pose the biggest threat, as they can chip away large portions of your health from afar, so make sure to have a tank clinch their attent??ion.

After defeating the enemies, it will be time to break the seco??nd barrier, a feat you can accomplish by heading down toward the newly unlocked ground level and interacting with the Mana Fluid Regulator shown below. You will need to defeat a set of four Ancient Zombie Mutts, as wel?l as an Ancient Dark Assassin and Ancient Shade Wizard to unlock the ability to interact with the device.

Once you interact with the monument, swim toward the newly unlocked ledge and then repeat the process to interact with the second regulator and get access to the dungeon's next area, where you will meet the Ancient Berserk Dark Enforcer sub-bos?s.

How to defeat the Ancient Berserk Dark Enforcer

After spott?ing them, you will be able to defeat the Ancient Berserk Dark Enforcer by going with the old but classic jump-in. To be more specific, your team's tank must face t??he enemy first to aggro it, which will allow all of your DPSs to join forces and obliterate the foe without issue. As with all bosses, your party's healer must always be on standby to keep your tank's HP on the high end.

Now, continue forward and glide past the fir??e pits while avoiding the geysers and the suspended cages until you reach the lower level of the dungeon. After landing, focus on staying close to your party and continue onward until you spot the Ancient Berserk Shade Wizard.

How to defeat the Ancient Berserk Shade Wizard

As the boss will face you alone, we will be applying th??e same strategy used against the Dark Enforcer to defeat the Ancient Berserk Shade Wizard. Be aware, however, as during the fight, they will likely summon a few Ancient Zombie Mutts. Once the sub-boss and his minions are no more, you will have unlocked a path leading to both a fireplace and to the King Chimaerus boss area.

How to defeat King Chimaerus and complete the Roaring Temple Dungeon

As we talked about in our how to defeat King Chimaerus guide, you can defeat the Beast of Chaos in Throne and Liberty by focusing on dealing constant damage to t??he boss while staying true to your role and doing the following:

  • Tank: Focus on staying close to the boss to aggro it while making use of constant buffs.
  • DPS: Focus on attacking the boss nonstop while staying relatively close to your tank but away from the enemy's range. If playing as close-range-exclusive DPS, focus on attacking the flanks.
  • Healer: Focus on providing buffs and dealing damage to the boss on occasion. Your focus should be on keeping your tank and highest damage dealers alive above all else.
  • No matter your role, make sure to avoid the lion's acid spit, as it will both poison you and apply debuffs that will last until the end of the fight.

Those looking to defeat King Chimaerus will also need to keep a close eye on two of his attacks, his paralyze/fireball combo and his team-wip??ing stage-wide wave. You can check out a more in-depth overview of each move, as well as h??ow to counter them below:

Attack Description How to Counter/Stop It
Paralyse + Fireball King Chimaerus will paralyze a player before turning to them and sending over three fireballs. By placing yourself in front of your paralyzed teammate and taking either one hit (if as a DPS) or multiple (as a tank). I advise you to always stay behind your tank during the fight in case you are the lucky one.
Stage-Wide Heat/Poison Wave King Chimaerus will jump into the center of the stage and perform a chant before letting out an unavoidable wave. By turning to any of the chains atop the boss arena and pulling them with F/â—?X. Doing so will propel you and cause the mana fluid in the chandelier to fall on the boss, thus stopping his attack. Can only be done shortly after King Chimaerus jumps into the center of the arena.

Now that you know how to complete the dungeon, I also highly recommend checking out the game's lastest codes for a few exclusive items.
