While some are complaining that new challenges brought by Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree are just way too difficult, some absolute madmen are finding ways of ??making the new DLC even more challenging.

The final boss that we have to beat at the end of the Shadow of the Erdtree is much harder than its respective counterpart in the base game, and is arguably one of the most daunting enemies in the history of Souls games.

But while some struggle, others are giving themselves challenges to make the incredibly tough fight harder, including no dodging or blocking. As originally spotted by Kotaku, that's an absolute non-issue for u/Recjawjind_fmfb, who even added “no flasking�to the equation, and still managed to absolutely humb?le Radahn in under two minutes.

It seems as if the key for this astounding performance is prep work. Recjawjind stacks up on buffs, among them incantations that grant him higher defense and healing over time. Recjawjind also makes use of the Fla??sk of Wondrous Physick, using a mix that makes their character invulnerabl?e to one attack and that gives a sort of Hail Mary heal when one's character is nearing death. These, the right great rune (Malenia's, in this case), set of armor and talismans, all add up to make your character as resilient as Radahn himself.

The biggest takeaway for me is that, even though skill will always be an important factor, knowledge of the game will always be the most important thing. Make no mistake: the games in the Souls series are absolute meat grinders if you refuse to adapt, but studying and tinkering with all the tools at our behest allows regular players to become so powerful that they'll even get to obliterate your enemies without needing all ??that much skill. The "Easy Mode" is all the intel you gathered along the way.

Not the smoothest landing

Starscourge Radahn has quickly become one of the most recognizable and talked-about bosses in Elden Ring. He's got some unique mechanics special to his own fight, and he's already been the target of patches. Turns out that the easiest way o?f beating him might be letting him beat himself.

Radahn is one of the "main" bosses of Elden Ring, and his defeat is required for at least one ending. Even if you skirt around his particular part of the map, ??chances are you'll hea??r tell of him. And once his fight kicks off, it's a whole dang festival of swordfighting.

Players have been having good times and bad times dealing with Radahn. But if you're having some real trouble, turns out there's an easy way to deal with him. As spotted by PC Gamer, Reddit user u/HomeGrownCrown7 and Twitter user @izuoku_ show you can just let him dunk himself into t??he o??cean.

Radahn, apparently, does not float

Once Radahn hits the halfway point on his health bar, he plummets towards th?e player like a comet. It's a pretty beefy move that most?? would panic and dodge. Yet, over on one side of his arena, there's a vast ocean. And it turns out, Radahn's not so good at steering away from it.

As you can see in the above Twitter video, Radahn will simply dunk himself into the drink. Now, Souls bosses are no stranger to bizarre deaths. The Taurus Demon is infamous for hurling itself off the side of the ramparts in Dark Souls.

I really do enjoy the comedy ??of Radahn hurling himself into the ocean, though. It's a great sequence of "ah ha!" followed by "oh? no!"

I'd be surprised if this gets patched, though if you're having trouble with Radahn and want to take him out in a very funny way, it might be better to do this sooner rather than later. And don't worry, Elden Ring still holds plenty of challenging bosses that won't fall prey to a lil' bit of water. But hey, if you need more tips, just turn to some friendly neighborhood Basilisks.
