Karlach is one of the best companions in Baldur's Gate 3. Her personal storyline is one of the most interesting, and her prowess in battle ma????kes her essential to have along for the ride.

As a Barbarian, Karlach only has access to three feats in Baldur's Gate 3, compared to other classes like Rogue and Fighter, which get four. This means that you've got to pick your Karlach feats carefully ??when you unlock them at Levels 4, 8, and 12.

So, which ones should you take? To help you decide, let's look at the best feats for Karlach in Baldur's Gate 3 to make the strongest build possible.

Best feats for Barbarian Karlach in BG3

There are 41 feats to choose from in Baldur's Gate 3, so narrowing it down to just three is tough. We've picked out what we think are the best feats for Karlach, as well ??as a few honorable mentions that you can't completely rule out.

With any Barbarian build in BG3, the aim should be purely about dealing as much damage as possible while being abl?e to take a hit or two. You'll be right in the middle of the action, so this is crucial. These feats will help you achieve that.

Great Weapon Master feat for Karlach in Baldur’s Gate 3

Karlach Feats in Baldur's Gate 3
Screenshot by Destructoid

Feat Description
Great Weapon Master When you land a Critical Hit or kill a target with a melee weapon attack, you can make another melee weapon attack as a bonus action that turn.
Attacks with Heavy melee weapons you are Proficient with, can deal an additional 10 damage at the cost of a -5 Attack Roll penalty. (You can toggle this on and off.)

The Great Weapon Master feat is absolutely essential for any party featuring Karlach in Baldur's Gate 3. With this, you can take an extra attack each turn using your bonus action. Your attacks are going to be deadly as a Barbarian anyway, so get?ting to take two will result in enormous damage, especially if you're using a Heavy melee weapon you're proficient in.

We'd recommend taking Great Weapon Master as early as possible, ideally making it your Level 4 feat. Doing this kind of damage so early in the game will make combat encounters a breeze with Karlach in ??your party.

Savage Attacker feat for Karlach in Baldur’s Gate 3

Feat Description
Savage Attacker When making a melee weapon attack, you roll your damage dice twice and use the highest result.

It should be pretty obvious why you should pick the Savage Attacker feat as Karlach in Baldur's Gate 3. She's capable of dealing enormous amounts of dam??age, so getting to roll the di?ce twice and use the highest result is comically overpowered.

Grab Savage Attacker at Level 8, after taking Great Weapon Master. That way, you'll always get the +10 damage buff too - a potent combination that will ensure Karlach plays an important role in your party throughout Baldur's Gate 3.

Tough feat for Karlach in Baldur’s Gate 3

Karlach Feats in Baldur's Gate 3
Screenshot by Destructoid

Feat Description
Tough Your hit point maximum increases by 2 for every level you have gained.

BG3's Karlach can already take tons of damage compared to the other companions. The Tough feat takes that ??up a notch by giving her plenty more HP. When combined with the previous two feats, you create a resilient melee monster by taking the Tough feat.

You should take the Tough feat for Karlach last, once you reach Level 12. As you hurtle toward the end of the game, the extra health will make Karlach extremely tough to kill. If you're reall??y struggling earlier in the game, don't be afraid to take the Tough feat earlier, though.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Karlach feats: honorable mentions

While we can heartily recommend taking the above feats for Karlach in Baldur's Gate 3, there are plenty of ways to build this Tiefling Barbarian. We've added five more honorable mentions for the best feats for Karlach in Baldur's Gate 3 that you can use to switch up your playstyle.

Feat Description
Ability Improvement (Strength) You increase one Ability by 2, or two Abilities by 1, to a maximum of 20.
Athlete Your Strength or Dexterity increases by 1, to a maximum of 20.
When you are Prone, standing up uses significantly less movement. Your Jump distance also increases by 50%.
Charger You gain Charger: Weapon Attack and Charger: Shove.
Martial You learn two manoeuvres from the Battle Master subclass and gain a Superiority Die to fuel them. You regain expended Superiority Dice after a Short or Long Rest.
Tavern Brawler When you make an unarmed attack, use an improvised weapon, or throw something, your Strength Modifier is added twice to the damage and Attack Rolls.
Also grants +1 to either Strength or Constitution.

If you find you've made the wrong ?choice with your feats, you can always respec Karlach by paying 100 gold to Withers at camp. You're not locked into one?? specific build, so why not try out a few different feat selections throughout your playthrough?

A feature not present in any of the game's previous versions, Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake allows players to catchor recruitfriendly monsters during their journey, as well as battle with them ?fo?r the chance of getting large sums of gold and exclusive items.

But although you will get your first monster after being introduced to the mechanic by Monty, the game features a massive array of 121 monsters. To help you rescue them all, here's how to catch monsters in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake.

How to Catch Monsters in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake

After coming face to face with any type of friendly monster in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake, you will be able to recruit them by simply getting close, which will prompt your hero to calm them down and tell them about Monty's Monster menagerie. As some monsters will run away?? after spotting you, I recommend getting a Monster Wrangler in your party as soon as possible, as they will allow you to approach all monsters without trouble and get new abilities based on how many you rescu??e.

After acquiring a monster, or a few if you wis??h to be 100% sure, you can take them to battle by heading to any of the arenas located across the world and then talking to its set rec?eptionist. The first arena you can find will be located in Romaria.

Raising the level? of yo??ur monsters is a must if you plan on challenging the higher ranks in the arenas, but unlike your party, they won't level up by winning matches. Instead, you will only be able to increase their level and have them unlock new abilities by recruiting more monsters of the same type.

The above also means that species with a larger variety of friendly monsters, such as the slimes, will have a higher ceiling when compared to, for example, the Spiked Hare seen in the image above. So that you can make your monsters unstoppable early on and glide past the ranks, I highly recommend that you check out our All Friendly Monster Locations in Dragon Quest 3 guide.

How to Get the Monster Wrangler Vocation in Dragon Quest 3

There are currently two ways to get a party member with the Monster Wrangler vocation in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D, with the first one being by visiting the receptionist on the seco?nd floor of Patty's Party Planning Place. If you want to build the world's most dangerous Wrangler by switching the vocation of one of your party members, you will then be able to do so by visiting the Abbot of Alltrades Abbey. Keep in mind, however, that you will only be able to change a character's vocation after they reach level 20.

My absolute favorite among the game's wide array, the Paragon personality can be seen as the perfect choice for those looking to get a huge boost in strength and one-shot enemies no matter their game stage in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake.

But how can you get the personality at the start of the game? And for those looking to battle with a Paragon duo, is it possible to switch to it later on or get a party member with it? Here are all the ways to get the Paragon Personality in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake.

How to Get the Paragon Personality at the Start of Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake

You can get the Paragorn personality at the start of your journey in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake by completing the Monster Personality Test without killing more ?than 2 NPCs. You can unlock the test by answering the questions asked by the goddess in the following way:

  • Question #1: Do you believe that victory can be won in the field of battle? Yes
  • Question #2: Do you prefer spells and sorcery to swords and sweat? No
  • Question #3: Do you find the company of unfamiliar people tiresome? No
  • Question #4: Are you able to prevent failure from preying upon your mind? Yes
  • Question #5: Do you find yourself unable to argue with others, even if you disagree with them strongly? No
  • Question #6: Do you enjoy physical pursuits? Yes
  • Question #7: Can even the most minor of matters irritate you? No
  • Question #8: Do you believe that a promise, once made, can under no circumstances be broken? Yes (Answering this question or the one below in any other way will lock you out of the Personality Test)
  • Question #9: Do you believe in a power higher than that of man? Yes

Although it is possible to unlock the test by following a path different from the one above, I recommend that you restart your playthrough until your first question matches ours. Apart from that, all the following inquiries will be directly related to your previous answer. Differently from the Vamp and like the Tough Cookie personality, Paragon is not gender locked.

How to Complete the Monster Personality Test

After answering the questions as shown above and starting the Monster Personality Test on DQ 3, you can complete it without killing more than a single NPC by avoiding the dog and t??hen making your way down the main path. Keep in mind that it is impossible to complete the test without torching the villager by the well.

How to Switch a Personality to Paragon in Dragon Quest 3

If you fail to get the personality at the beginning or just want to turn a party member into a Paragon, you will be able to do so by either using The Champion's Code book or equipping the Mighty Armlet. Keep in mind that equipping the item will only change your chosen character's personality when they are wearing it. When creating a party member on the second floor of Patty's Party Planning Place, using five Seeds of Strength will allow them to come with the Paragon personality, altho??ugh whether or not they will get it will still be up to chance.

Among the massive array of personalities you can attain in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake, its high resilience value makes the Tough Cookie one of the best for those looking to make sure their hero (or teammate) will be able to deal high damag?e while also staying sturdy against all threats.

But how can you get the personality at the start? And if you failed to acquire it, is it possible to switch to it later on? Here's how to get the Tough Cookie Personality in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake.

When starting your journey in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake, you can get the Tough Cookie Personality by pushing the boulder 40 times toward?? the old man during the Forest Personality Test. To unlock the test, you will need to answer the questions provided by the mysterious being in a set way, with the first question determining the path you must follow. I was able to unlock the test by answering the Personality Quiz in the following way:

  • Question #1: Do you believe that the sun in the sky above is the king of all nature? Yes
  • Question #2: Do you dream often? No
  • Question #3: Do you prefer spells and sorcery to swords and sweat? No
  • Question #4: Do you find the company of unfamiliar people tiresome? No
  • Question #5: Are you able to prevent failure from preying upon your mind? No
  • Question #6: Is your circle of acquaintances wide and varied? Yes
  • Question #7: Do you pay much heed to the gossip of others? Yes
  • Question #8: Do you believe the world to be filled more with sadness than with joy? Yes (Answering it in any other way will lock you from the Forest Test)

Keep in mind that even if your first question does not ??match ours, answering any of the questions above, as shown, will unlock the one below it and set you on the path toward the Forest Test. I, however, recommend restarting your playthrough until your first question matches ours for an easier time. Unlike the fan-favorite Vamp, Tough Cookie can be unlocked? no matter your hero's gender.

How to Push the Boulders During the Forest Test

After answering all of the questions as shown above and being teleported into the Forest Test, you will be able to push the boulder toward the old man by simply heading left while facing it. As you can guess, there's no way to speed up the process apart from running and skipping the dialogue. In other words, if you want to start as a Tough Cookie, you will need to go back and forth 40 times. There's no need to keep count, though, as the old man will let you know once you deliver your forti??eth?? boulder.

You can momentarily change the Personality of any of your party members (including the Hero) in DQ 3 HD-2D by equipping them with the Weightlifter's Belt, which can be acquired by heading to the Mini Medal Manor and talking to Morgan M?inimann after acquiring 35 Mini Medals. You can reach Mini Medal Manor by jumping down a well l??ocated on the lower left portion of the Aliahan map, more specifically on the spot below:

Known for developing games of high-quality and excellent writing, Obsidian Entertainment's fantasy RPG Avowed is no doubt on a lot of people's radars. The Fallout: New Vegas studio is looking?? to release its new title early ne?xt year, but there is an opportunity to play it sooner.

However, it will necessitate forking over some extra dough. According to a recent blog post on Xbox Wire, you can get a copy of Avowed on February 13 as opposed to February 18 if you're prepar??ed to buy the Premium Edition.

//twitter.com/AvowedtheGame/status/1857126870560473232

How to get Avowed Early Access as easily as possible

You can pre-order the more expensive version of the game, which will set you back $90 instead of $70 for the Standard Edition. In addition to getting to download and play "up to" five days earlier, the Premium Edition also gives you access to a digital a?rtbook and soundtrack, as well as two premium skin packs.

The post goes on to say pre-orders are available on Xbox Series X|S, the Xbox App, Steam, and even Blizzard's Battle.net service. You can also, if you so choose, buy the Standard Edition and upgrade to Premium at a later date, which will give you the bonuses plus the e?arly access. It will, however, cost you an additional $25 for the privi??lege.

Avowed will also be available on Game Pass from day one. Additionally, Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers can play via th?eir Battle.net membership.

As for the exclusive skin pack, these have been inspired by "characters and regions from Pillars of Eternity." If you're like me and you're wondering if you need to have played this game before diving into Avowed, it seems as though that won't be necessary.

Although the latter does take place in the same universe as the former, no knowledge of Pillars of Eternity is required. If you're a fan of Obsidian games overall, then Avowed sounds like it's going to be one to lo?ok out for, whether you play it five days early or not.

Battle Resurrection (most commonly referred to as 'battle res') is one of the single most important aspects of a party or raid composition because of its ability to bring a player back from the brink of death in the midst of combat. Here's every class with the ability to battle res in World of Warcraft.

All Classes with Battle Rez in WoW

There are two main versions of WoW, and both differ in which classes have access t??o a battle res. Rather than list them together, allow me to separate the following lists for your own clarity.

Battle Res classes in World of Warcraft: Classic

In WoW Classic, the only class that can cast any sort of in-combat resurrections is the Druid, and it is quite limited in its nature. The Druid's battle res is called Rebirth and it comes with a very hefty 3??0-minute cooldown once used, regulating it mostly to emergency situations only in any given encounter. Additionally, only Taurens and Night Elfs can be Druids, further limiting its overall usage.

Battle Res classes in World of Warcraft: Retail

WoW Retail is the most current version of WoW, which is currently in the midst of its tenth expansion, The War Within. Since the days of the original vanilla WoW experience, se??veral?? other classes have gained access to a battle res of sorts.

World of Warcraft: The War Within Hellcaller Warlock Hero Talents

  • Druid - Like in WoW Classic, Druids can still battle res allies using their Rebirth spell, but they now face a reduced cooldown of 10 minutes, not factoring in additional talents. The racial limitation has also greatly decreased as the class now includes Worgen, Kul Tiran, Highmountain Tauren, Trolls, and Zandalari Trolls. This makes having a Druid in your party much more likely.

  • Death Knight - A class added back in Wrath of the Lich King, Death Knights have always had access to their Raise Ally battle res spell, although it worked very differently originally. Currently, it works identically to the Druid's Rebirth. Every race can be a Death Knight with the exception of Dracthyr, and the class is still very popular, so you'll likely end up in a party with one in most group content.

  • Warlock - Warlocks have a very unique battle res called Soulstone and it is superior to all other versions of the ability. Soulstone can be cast as your standard battle res, or can be used on a living target as a sort of pre-calculated battle res instead. This is why it is extremely common for healers to be the target of a Warlock's Soulstone, since they are often integral in group-orientated content. All Races can be a Warlock, so you'll commonly find them in your groups.
  • Hunter - Hunters also have a unique battle res through their Eternal Guardian, which is a pet-based battle res. This version works similarly to Raise Ally and Rebirth, but comes with the distinct downside of requiring a specific pet to be out on the field to make use of it. In endgame content, in order for Hunters to use Eternal Guardian, they often have to sacrifice a significant portion of their damage to swap pets. The act of doing this is also unwieldy due to the cast times involved during the process.

The War Within San'Layn Death Knight Hero Talents

Shared Battle Res Limitations

The standard encounter limit is one battle res every 10 minutes, which lines up with every class' battle res cooldown. There is also a maximum of up to three battle res casts allowed for longer fights. This li?mit applies to all battle res abilities collectively, re?gardless of the number of players who can perform a battle res in a party or raid.

The three goblin leaders in Baldur's Gate 3 are tough to handle, especially Dror Ragzlin. He deals a ton of damage to anyone he hits. However, with the right preparations, you can make it through. Here's how to take out Dror Ragzlin in Baldur's Gate 3.

How to take out the Baldur's Gate 3 Dror Ragzlin boss

The easiest way to defeat Dror Ragzlin in BG3 is to push all his goblin soldiers down the pit while your tankiest characters deal with him. Make sure you always have someo??ne ready to heal whoever is taking blows from his Faithbreaker Warhammer. Keep his goblin allies away from him ??to prevent his Aura of Leadership from boosting their damage.

However, you must not push him down the pit if you want Dror Ragzlin's magic Warhammer, the Faithbreaker, or his Mind Flayer Parasite. Doing this makes him disappear from the fi??ght completely, preventing you from looting him for his weapons and other miscellaneous trinkets. Only do this if you don't care about the drops and just want a quick win.

If you've already fought another one of the goblin leaders in Baldur's Gate 3, make sure to rest up before the Dror Ragzlin fight begins. Either a Short or a Long Rest at the camp will do. Taking the latter, however, will let you recover your more powerful spells and abilities. This red-skinned hobgoblin, Dror Ragzlin, is much more powerful than the other two goblin bosses. He has a hefty 75 HP and is Level 5. He can dish out upwards of 21 damage in one strike, as well, so be ca??reful.

Dror Ragzlin BG3

Before taking on the Dror Ragzlin fight in BG3, find the war drum on the right-hand side. It's next to the stairway in the boss' combat area. If you fail to destroy it straight away with an arrow or a spell, you'll face nine enemies in total after taking out Dror Ragzlin. While this could be a fun challenge for some, it can be overwhelming for others, especially if you recently fought anot?her boss. Have someone like Astarion nearby to eliminate the drum ASAP.

Try to take out Dror Ragzlin as quickly as possible during the fight. To do this, try to use a spell that stuns him for a move or two. I used Tasha?'s Hideous Laughter on him. It's not a guaranteed move, but it will leave Dror Ragzlin prone with crazed laughter if?? it lands. It'll phase him, leaving you a chance to get a lot of damage in before he can even say hello.

You can also get in an extra attack with Lae'zel's Action Surge before attempting to take his hammer off his hands with a powerful Disarming Strike. Using several strikes in a row can really rack up the damage on him. Shadowheart's Inflict Wounds can also effectively lower a foe'??s health. His 75 HP will dwindle down to ze??ro in no time.

Dror Ragzlin may also take a lot of health from your party, so try to get a healer into the squad to remedy a potentially bad situation. Just be careful while doing this during Dror Ragzlin's Honour Mode fight, as buffing your allies can make things complicated with his passive. Outside of that, you'll wa??nt to remove his minions from the picture. They'll be fairly easy to dispatch, but just in case, you can quick-save after eliminating Ragzlin if you're in one of the regular difficulty modes.

Baldur's Gate 3 goblin rafters during Dror Ragzlin fight
Screenshot by Destructoid

On the left-hand side, near the stairway, there's a ladder that can help archers get a bette?r aim at their victims down below. While using these? yourself is a viable strategy for defeating Dror Ragzlin and his minions, you also have to be careful of them climbing up and attacking you. One push is all it takes to send your character to their death instantly.

It also helps if you can make it past the guards to avoid spending resources before fighting Dror Ragzlin. Every advantage counts, even if it means sacrificing some initial EXP. You can always come back later and clean up any gob?lins you might've missed.

How to make it past the guards

Once you enter the goblin's prison, you're stopped at the front gate by security. Warrior Trinzas asks what your intentions are. There are multiple ways to go about this. As a magical class, I was able to peer through her mind. There's an Intelligence check, but it's fairly easy to beat, especially if you manually save just before the encounter. If you lose the roll, they will all attack you. Wh??en you succeed, she'll tell you about the Tr?ue Souls that have gathered in their base.

Baldur's Gate 3 prison guard
Screenshot by Destructoid

Tell Trinzas that you're here for the True Souls, ??and they'll let you through. You can also use some Deception to pass through the guards. This is difficult, however, as you'll need to roll over 15 on your D20 dice. The first option is likely better if you're not specialized in Deception.

Astarion is one of the most popular companions in Baldur's Gate 3. You'll likely meet him early in your adventure, a Rogue whose tong??ue is as fast as his sword. One thing's for sure: you want to keep As??tarion around.

As a Rogue, Astarion has one distinct advantage over other Baldur's Gate 3 characters. Whether yo??u're playing as him or bringing him along as a companion, Astarion can choose up to four feats as he levels up, as opposed to others' three. These come at Levels 4, 8, 10, and 12 for Rogues.

But which ones should you be taking for your playthrough? We're going to take a look at the best feats for Astarion in Baldur's Gate 3, to make sure you get your build just right.

Best feats for Rogue Astarion in BG3

When looking at the best feats for Astarion in Baldur's Gate 3, we'll highlight the four we think you should be taking throughout your playthrough. There are so many BG3 feats that these four aren't the only ones you can take, so we'll also inc??lude some honorable mentions that also work pre??tty well for an Astarion run.

The priority with these feats is to create a ranged Astarion BG3 build. In the late game, this can result?? in some pretty crazy damage with the right feats in place.

Ability Improvement feat for Astarion in Baldur's Gate 3

Astarion Ability Improvement Feat BG3
Screenshot by Destructoid

Feat Description
Ability Improvement You increase one Ability by 2, or two Abilities by 1, to a maximum of 20.

With four feats to choose from, you should always be taking Ability Improvement. Usually, for a Rogue, you'd dump the ex??tra two points here into Dexterity, allowing you to take advantage of Stealth skills a??nd giving you a bonus for abilities such as Sleight of Hand.

We'd recommend taking Ability Improvement for your Level 4 feat in Baldur's Gate 3. Astarion will ??reap the ben??efits if you take this one as early as you possibly can.

Sharpshooter feat for Astarion in Baldur's Gate 3

Astarion Ability Improvement Feat BG3
Screenshot by Destructoid

Feat Description
Sharpshooter Your ranged weapon attacks do not receive penalties from High Ground Rules.
Ranged weapon attacks with weapons you are Proficient with have a -5 penalty to their Attack Roll, but deal an additional 10 damage. (You can toggle this on or off.)

Any Astarion build in BG3 isn't complete without taking the Sharpshooter feat. It makes him an absolute menace from range, and the removal of penalties from low ground is just overpowered. Make no mistake - if you choose Sharpshooter as one of your feats for Astarion in Baldur's Gate 3, you should switch primarily to ranged attacks.

You should take Sharpshooter as your Level 8 feat for Astarion. The -5 penalt??y to Attack Roles can be negated by high Dexterity if you?? took Ability Improvement earlier, and the extra 10 damage is an enormous buff in exchange.

Dual Wielder feat for Astarion in Baldur's Gate 3

Astarion Ability Improvement Feat BG3
Screenshot by Destructoid

Feat Description
Dual Wielder You can use Two-Weapon Fighting even if your weapons aren't Light, and you gain a +1 bonus to Armour Class while wielding a melee weapon in each hand. You cannot dual-wield Heavy weapons.

When you're really starting to hone your Astarion build in Baldur's Gate 3, we'd definitely recommend Dual Wielder. This feat will allow you to dual-wield crossbows, which, when combined with your previous two feats, makes Astarion a damage-dealing machine. The +1 b?onus to Armour Class isn't too? shabby, either.

Dual Wielder is a Baldur's Gate 3 feat you should take for Astarion at Level 10. The previous two are so beneficial at an early stage, that you'll see more rewards from taking them first. Dual Wielder is great, ??but it's quite a specialist feat.

Mobile feat for Astarion in Baldur's Gate 3

Astarion Ability Improvement Feat BG3
Screenshot by Destructoid

Feat Description
Mobile Your movement speed increases, and difficult terrain doesn't slow you down when you Dash.
If you move after making a melee attack, you don't provoke Opportunity Attacks from your target.

The Mobile feat is one of the best for players who enjoy the stealthy aspects of a Baldur's Gate 3 Astarion playthrough. It's commonly used alongside Dash to avoid Opportunity? Attacks as you maneuver around the battlefield, then Cunning Action: Hide to go into St??????????????????????????ealth mode.

When using Mobile as part of that combination, Astarion can pop in and out of stealth during combat, dealing massive damage before slipping away into the night. Even for r?anged characters, Mobile is great for?? simply repositioning quickly without taking tons of damage. Grab this feat at Level 12 - it shouldn't be an early priority, but it's worth having.

Baldur's Gate 3 Astarion feats: honorable mentions

The four feats above aren't the only viable ones for an Astarion playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3??. Here are some hono??rable mentions you can use, even if you're not embracing the range-heavy build we recommended above.

Feat Description
Alert You gain a +5 bonus to Initiative and can't be Surprised.
Crossbow Expert When you make crossbow attacks within melee range, the Attack Rolls do not have Disadvantage.
Your Piercing Shot also inflicts Gaping Wounds for twice as long.
Lucky You gain 3 Luck Points, which you can use to gain Advantage on Attack Rolls, Ability Checks, or Saving Throws, or to make an enemy reroll their Attack Rolls.
Savage Attacker When making a melee weapon attack, you roll your damage dice twice and use the highest result.
Tough Your hit point maximum increases by 2 for every level you have gained.

It's also worth noting that you can always experiment with your Astarion feats in Baldur's Gate 3. If you think you've made the wrong choice for your playthrough, you can respec your class via Withers and choose your feats all over again. This will set you back 100 gold each time, which isn't much at all when you get into the latter stages of Baldur's Gate 3.

Although it's a hugely successful and much-beloved game, Fallout 4 sometimes gets criticized for its continued scaling back of more traditional role-playing elements. It's these elements that arguably made the series such a cult h??it in the first place. Since Bethesda took over for the third installment, it definitely feels like things have slid into more action than straight-up RPG.

Of the later Fallout games that have come about, New Vegas is almost universally considered the best in the series. People are always keen to return to this modern classic, and that includes the modding community, where Nexus Mods user bp42s (thanks, DSO Gaming) brings us "REPUTATION."

Fallout 4: a green message on-screen explains how the player's repuattion in Diamond City means the are now "liked."
Image via bp42s/Nexus Mods.

Aside from being spelled out in a way that makes it feel like you should shout it out loud with your arms held aloft, this mod adds one of New Vegas' much-missed features into Fallout 4. Specifically and as the name implies it adds re??putation, allowing ??you to gain fame or infamy among known factions.

Just like in the good old days

This means you can now achieve good standing with a number of settlements across the nuclear-annihilated city of Boston, which can yield rewards. For example: having a positive reputation may "provide?? you with access to their gear, materials, or a tribute chest in your honor."

You can also get access to supply crates, which can become unlocked if that particular faction? sees you in a more favorable light. Additionally, you can get unique perks for reaching an "idolized" status. These perks are said to be powerful, but "not game-breaking or unbalanced."

Alternatively, if you decide to be an utter bastard on your Fallout 4 travels, you can earn such negative esteem, that people will send out hit squads, similar to the Legionary Assassins in New Vegas. Vendors will also?? increase their prices for both buying and selling depending on what they think of you.

Also, salutes have been added to t?he game, and bp42s says that generic NPCs "in the more organized or militari??stic factions will have a chance to salute you when you look at them, depending on how liked you are." It's all about making friends or enemies, then.

It's a nice little revival of a role-playing element that seems to have gone away completely in the Fallout series. The fact that your actions and antics can once again influence how citizens and other wastelanders regard you and whether they want to shoot you in the face is something I think a lot of fans of the series will be keen to see in Fallout 4.

As with any RPG, customization is at the heart of Starfield. ?But for many players, the game doesn't quite go far enough in this area. This is ?pretty typical of customization in Bethesda titles.

Luckily, the Starfield modding community is on the case. We're going to take a look at the 10 best Starfield custom?ization mods you can download right now to bring your perfect protagonist to life in Bethesda??'s space RPG.

Extended Facial Sculpting

There's a lot to enjoy about any video game character creator that allows you to go wild and create some absolute monstrosities. Starfield puts the brakes on that a little, but don't worry - that's where Extended Facial Sculpting comes in.

Simply put, it adds even more sliders that you can use to customize your Starfield protagonist. Now, you can pull your character's facial bones almost as far as you want in any direction, for some truly terr??ifying results. Really, isn't that what character creation is all about?

Starfield Hair and Beards - RTFP

best Starfield customization mods
Image via zone79/Nexus Mods

Of all the Starfield customization mods on this list, this might just be the best. Starfield Hair and Beards - RTFP adds tons of standalone hair and beard options to the game, w?hich can b?e used on both male and female characters.

What really makes this mod stand out is how unique each style is. They're all different from what you can expect to find in the base game of Starfield, yet they stil??l look like they totally belong in this universe.

Cyberpunk Eyes - RTFP

best Starfield customization mods
Image via Nyvrak/Nexus Mods

There are no prizes for guessing what you get when you install Cyberpunk Eyes - RTFP. 97 new eye colors in Starfield, covering just about all the bases you'?ll ever need in this regard.

While the vibrant new eye colors are great, the cyberpunk-themed ones are the highlight here. Some eye textures look like they're integrated with various pieces of technology, while others even have a deep black sclera for a unique look you won't find in vanilla Starfield. This one's a must-have.

Starfarer's Makeup - RTFP

best Starfield customization mods
Image via Nyvrak/Nexus Mods

In total, Starfarer's Makeup - RTFP adds six blushes, eight eyeliners, eight tattoos, and six lipstick accents to Starfield's?? character creator. All are completely standalone - no replacers here.

Ultimately, Starfarer's Makeup - RTFP won't completely revolutionize your Starfield character creation experience, but it can enhance ??it, even a little bit, meaning it's worth having.

More Piercings - RTFP

best Starfield customization mods
Image via Nyvrak/Nexus Mods

More Piercings - RTFP is perfect for adding that final piece of personality to your Starfield character, with 14 new piercing options for females and 12 for males. Earrings, nose rings, septum p?iercings - you name it, this mod has it.

Bethesda games have often missed out these more minor details of character customization, but this mod from Nyvrak is a great option for Starfield players.

Tattoo Recycle - RTFP

best Starfield customization mods
Image via Nyvrak/Nexus Mods

Tattoos! How can you complain about more tattoos? Tattoo Recycle - RTFP is straightforward stuff, giving you 22 new tattoos to experiment with during Starfield character creation.

Some of these tattoos are minor variations of others, but there's enough va??riation he??re that there's something that every player can use. One thing is for sure: the tattoos found in Tattoo Recycle - RTFP are loud, so if you're searching for more subtle designs, you won't find them here.

Vivid Hair Colors

best Starfield customization mods
Image via GothikaGeist/Nexus Mods

You can absolutely make the argument that Starfield's hair options are a little too dark by default, but Vivid Hair Colors is here to address this. All 15 of the game's hair colors have been replaced by this mod, pro??viding brighter versi?ons instead.

This includes beard and eyebrow hair, too, extending this Starfield customization mod a little further. Since the hair textures are now just solid colors, creator GothikaGeist has been able to half the texture? s??ize, meaning Vivid Hair Colors is also a slight performance optimizer.

Subtle Moles and Freckles - RTFP

best Starfield customization mods
Image via Nyvrak/Nexus Mods

If you're a gamer who likes to dive into the nitty-gritty details of your Starfield character customization, then Subtle Moles and Freckles - RTFP could be right up your alley.

Adding six freckle and nine new mole options, this mod is intended to be used alongside others to provide the final touch of detail to your Starfield protagonist. It's standalone, too, so it doesn't replace any of the game'??s existing options in this regard.

Better Backgrounds

best Starfield customization mods
Image via senterpat/Nexus Mods

Better Backgrounds isn't a mod that changes your Starfield character's appearance. Instead, it's all about changing their background, m?aki?ng big changes to the vanilla options as well as adding 20 new ones. Creator senterpat felt the original offerings were "pretty lackluster, with no real impact on gameplay at all."

They've set out to fix that here, with backgrounds now encouraging players to change their playstyles to reap the rewards. I'm counting this one as a Starfield customization mod.

Shattered Space Headparts

Starfield: Shattered Space mods
Image via Neyr/Nexus Mods

Starfield: Shattered Space mods have already made a ton of additions to Bethesda's latest expansion, and Shattered Space Headparts is one of many. This is a pretty small addition, but one that's worth?? adding to your load order.

But what does it actually do? Shattered Space h?as six new hairstyles used exclusively by NPCs, and this mod simply makes them usable for players, too.

If you're a hardcore fan of the Mass Effect series, then you might find an unexpected bit of joy in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

Developers BioWare has added two new outfits to the game as part of the latest update (both available for Rook), and it's heavily inspired by the N7 design. Such is the resemblance that any lover of EA's sci-fi series will be immediately able to relate to the new armor. Moreover, this outfit is available for all, and it can be fo??und directly inside the game.

How to obtain the Mass Effect armor in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Obtaining the new outfit is pretty straightforward, but you will have to clear a fair bit of the main campaign. In fact, the quest for "The Singing Blade" must be completed, as it takes Rook to Scout Harding to search for the Lyrium Knife. First, find t??he missing knife dropped by Solas, and you'll be able to gain access to the Lighthouse and Caretaker's Workshop.

  • Go to the Lighthouse.
  • Travel to the yard.
  • Walk towards the Caretaker's Workshop.
  • Locate the vendor, and you'll find a chest. Open it to grab your copy of the Mass Effect armor.

You??'ll get three unique-lookin?g items from the chest:

  • Command Helmet
  • Specter of Battles Past
  • Paragon of Leadership.

Once you've added these items to your inventory, you'll be able to change into them from your wardrobe. I love the fact that the designs aren't a direct copy of how they appeared in Mass Effect games. BioWare has kept the vintage threads and the color code alive, but the design has been modified to fit well into the lore of Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

As of this writing, there doesn't appear to be an expiration date for these rewards. However, there's no point in dilly-dallying, and yo??u should redeem the outfits as early as p??ossible.

With the release of Zenless Zone Zero's 1.3 update, a new Special Agent quest was introduced. If you've started the?? quest and are seemingly unable to continue the story due to a sudden soft lock, I've got the solution that will fix your problem, though it is a bit unusual.

Zenless Zone Zero 1.3 Special Agent Story Soft Lock Workaround (Fix)

If you're playing Zenless Zone Zero on the PC client, you might encounter a point in the new Special Agent story where progress halts, leaving you stuck in Immersive Storytelling mode with no way to advance. You are also unable to move, thus softlocking you and preventing you from really doing anything else in the game.? Normally, you'd have to wait for the developers to fix this sort of problem in this scenario. Although a fix is likely coming soon, there's a workaround you can use now to keep playing the rest of the update content.

Zenless Zone Zero Immersive Storytelling Prompt

To be clear, this problem only exists on the PC client, so if you're stuck, the solution is to load up Zenless Zone Zero through its mobile client. You can do this on any mobile device, though it may take a little time to download if it's not already installed. Once installed, open the game and attempt to continue the storyline on the device. Doing this should resolve the soft lock for ??you, allowing you to continue playing and progressing on the PC cli??ent.

If this solution does not work for you, then I'm afraid you will have to wait for the developers to fix the problem and release a fix. Fortunately, HoYoverse, the developers behind Zenless Zone Zero, are quick to fix such ?disruptive problems and will also likely reward pull currency as compensation for your troubles.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard might be a single-player experience, but you rarely play? alone, and that's only possible thanks to your companions.

However, your available number of companions will always be more than your squad size, so you'll have to make some critical decisions. While you can sh??uffle and switch your party members inside the game, it can't be done whenever you want. Hence, ??it's crucial to understand how you can change your party composition.

When can you change your party members in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

There are two moments when you can specifically alter your party composition in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. It can be done right at th??e beginning of a fresh quest when you're about to leave your Lighthouse. Once you've selected the pursuit and its location, you can access the "Change Party" o??ption. It will show your two existing party members, and you can change any/both of them based on your preferences.

The only exception to this is that some quests have predetermined team members. In some instances, you'll lose access to certain members, but that mostly happens in the endgame, so you don't have to? stress abou?t that in the beginning.

You can also change the composition of your party at Beacons. You'll com?e across beacons while traveling the lands, and they're instrumental as they allow you to fast travel. But your fallen teammates will also be available at your beacons, where you can "Gather Your Party." Not only can you recall all your fallen party members, but you can also shuffle the composition.

Do note that your available companions will gradually increase as you complete more quests in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. ?The main campaign has three different acts, and there is additional content like side quests, Faction quests, and more. All your companions also have their own story arcs, so there's plenty to explore and complete.

Thankfully, BioWare's latest RPG doesn't d??isappoint in this regard. While you might not have the feature unlocked when you're just getting started, the map is filled with so?mething called beacons. These locations allow you to fast travel between different places. Hence, the answer to the question in the header is yes, so let's find out how you can save your time and energy while playing Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

How to fast travel in Dragon Age: The Veilguard?

As you start exploring the map, you'll find the beacons at random places. Once you've discovered and unlocked one, it can be us??ed to fast travel. You can travel to where a beacon is located from almost anywhere. To travel to that locati?on, you don't necessarily need to be near another beacon.

Just open the map, se??lect an unlocked beacon, and press the designated button. Make sure you hold the button until the fast travel takes place. You can do this within a specific world or across different settlements. If you want to do the latter, make sure to?? use the World tab.

You can also fast-travel to your Lighthouse in Dragon Age: The Veilguard?. For this, you won't need a beacon. Just open a map and hold the Square/X button on your controller to jump back t?o your base. You can do the same by taking the cursor over to where the Lighthouse is situated, but why do more work?

That's pretty much it when it comes to traveling quickly between different locations in the latest RPG adventure. If you're curious about the Point of No Return, check out our guide on all quests in Dragon Age: Veilguard, where we explore the Point of No Return as well. With multiple endings ??available inside the game, you'll want to clear as many quests as possible before approaching this particular quest.

Ultimate Abilities in Dragon Age: The Veilguard acts as the personality of your subclass, but you won't be restricted to using the same one repeatedly?.

Not only does the new Dragon Age RPG have a wide set of available choices for players, but you'll be able to unlock new ones by just grinding out the game. To do so, yo??u'll need to gain something called Skill Points, but before that, let's check out the complete list. This will give you a precise idea of all the options that you'll unlock as part of your selected class.

All Ultimate Abilities in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you'll be able to pick between three classes, and each of them has three further specializations. Each class has three Ultimate Abilities to unlock. Just like the classe??s? themselves, the abilities work very differently from one another.

Class Ability Effect
Death Caller (Mage) The Crypt's Herald Steals life from your enemies, and then explodes to deal the same damage
Evoker (Mage) Vortex of Shadows Generates an icy black hole
Spellblade (Made) Thunderous End Creates a storm that does damage
Duelist (Rogue) Murder of Crows Damages different enemies in a single area.
Veil Ranger (Rogue) Twin Gifts of Arlathan Throws electric shooting stars
Saboteur (Rogue) Fortune's Fury Turns your crossbow into a machine gun
Champion (Warrior) Warden's Fire Does a series of fire-based attacks
Reaper (Warrior) Spirit Storm Creates a Necrotic storm
Slayer (Warrior) For Gold and Glory Staggers an enemy, and strikes down your enemy from above

While the following section includes the steps to unlock new abilities, they might not necessarily be better. For both the Mage and Warrior, the default options are more than decent, and you can complete the game with them. That said?, the specializations are useful scenarios, and allow you to try something different. Otherwise, you'll practically have to use the same ability throughout a single play through, which can feel pretty boring.

How to unlock Ultimate Abilities in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

As you proceed deeper into your adventures, you'll be able to unlock up to three different spec??ializations. These choices will be entirely based on your class. When you unlock a specialization, you'll get a new Ultimate Ability. The Specializations can be viewed from inside the Skills menu. The Ultimate Ability will be placed in the second skill slot.

For starters, you'll need to gain plenty of skill points to unlock a Specialization. Once done, you can change the new Ultimate Ability with the one equ?ipped from inside the C??haracter tab. You can always switch between your available options to mix how your class works in a battle to the maximum.

Even if you have multiple ones unlocked, you can only equip one Ultimate Ab????ility at a given moment. If you want to change, always pay close attention to your enemies and companions alike. An ability, that works well with one companion, might not be as effective for another.

If you want to complete your quests in Dragon Age: The Veilguard without any hass??le, you'll have to know all about your enemies' weakpoints t?o do maximum damage.

With plenty of time between the upcoming Dragon Age game and the older titles, there are some obvious changes under the hood. In combat, paying attentio?n to your enemies' weakpoints will allow you to erode their health pool faster. It's also pretty easy to hit the soft spots of your foes once you ??know where to hit, and there's a proper indicator available as well.

All weakpoints in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

It goes without saying that weakpoints will vary based on your enemies. One of the best things to do is to go for the head. Much like your critical shots in Call of Duty Black Ops 6, going for the head will likely do the job for most enemies. You'll be surprised how common it ??is.

Once you hit the weakpoint of an enemy, the damage text will show up in purple. That's the indicator that you have hit the correct spot. However, a few enemies have some unexpected areas? to target.

  • Archdemon Razikale: Chin/Forehead/Neck
  • Blood. Forge Prime: Open Mouth Furnace
  • Greater Sentiner: Orb in the torso region
  • Greater Hurlock Blighter: Orange pustule
  • High Dragons: Glowing legs/underbelly (if you manage to stagger it)

How to get more weakpoint damage in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

The core process is simple in this case as well - just use a better weapon. But in the long run, you'll want to focus on your class and their?? areas of specialization. For example, Warriors will do more damage to Staggered enemies, while Mages do a lot of elemental damage. Hence, you'll want to boost all skills that empower your core abilities.

This is the? best way to amplify the damage you cause by hitting an enemy's weakpoints. There are, however, no abilities to m??y knowledge that strictly target the soft spots of an enemy.

If there's one thing you should expect in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, it'??s the abundance of choices when it comes to picking your class and further specialization.

Classes represent the basic arch??etype of your character and how they will operate inside the game. Specializations add deeper depth to your selec??ted archetype and allow you to enjoy different playstyles. Since this selection will have huge ramifications on your entire playthrough, let's look at all the available classes, along with their respective specializations.

All classes in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Here's the complete information you'll need before you jump into Dragon Age: The Veilguard. There are three specific classes: Mage, Rogue, and Warrior. While the?? three classes act and react differently, their respective specializations will allow for greater customization.

Class Sub-class Abilities Faction
Mage Death Caller Necromancy Mourn Watch
Mage Evoker Elemental Magic Shadow Dragons
Mage Spellblade Magical melee attacks Antivan Crows
Rogue Duelist Rapid strikes with dual blades and reliance on dodge abilities Antivan crows
Rogue Saboteur Uses custom traps and tricks Lords of Fortune
Rogue Veil Ranger Ranged attacks Veil Jumpers
Warrior Champion Absorbs huge amounts of damage and uses a sword and shield Grey Wardens
Warrior Reaper Relies on health steal, and uses it in attacks Mourn Watch
Warrior Slayer Very slow unit that does insane damage with double-handed weapons Lords of Fortune

Which is the best class and specialization for Dragon Age: The Veilguard?

Honestly, this entirely depends on how you want to play and enjoy the game. This isn't a multiplayer experience like Call of Duty Black Ops 6 where you'll want to exploit the meta. However, here are? my top three recommendations.

  • The Death Caller specialization will be my firm favorite because raising the undead to do your bidding is on whole another level.
  • Saboteur might be the hardest Rogue sub-class in my books, but killing enemies with traps is unique.
  • Reaper, because Champion is boring and Slayer is slow.

But in the end, ??there's no wrong choice, and just? go with how you want to play.

Although it's not the largest video game ever in terms of map size (not even when compared to other Elder Scrolls titles), Skyrim still boasts a hefty amount of land to explore. Its vastness gives plenty to see while ?out and about on (mostly) fun quests, but there's no doubt that it could stand to be a bit bigger.

That's where Nexus Mods user Nevah comes onto the scene. As noted by DSO Gaming, we've got an opportunity to explore a brand-new island, thanks to "Nevah’s I?sle Redux." Not only is there an island/world to explore, but the mod also contains a gh??ost village, complete with a home for the player.

Skyrim: two green-armored soldiers stand by a wooden ship at the docks in Solitude.
Image via Nevah/Nexus Mods.

The description on Nexus says to get to the island, you'll need to head to the docks at Solitude. There's also a? memorandum to the creator's father at the northwest point of the island, as well as "many secrets and hidden rooms."

To cleanse or not

Eagle-eyed readers will have spotted the w?ord "redux" in the mod's title. This is because it's a redo of a previous creation. While it's pretty much the same as the older version, this time around, they've added an optional side quest that lets you restore the island/ghost village to its former glory.

Nevah strongly recommends going through with the quest, as the island is "far more beautiful that way" and, once restored, will have "no more cobwebs or decay or overgrowth." Of course, it's entirely up to you, so if you don?'t mind wandering around a new island that's home to ghost vendors, that's an option as well.

It's also recommended to install the mod manually, with the ESP ideally at the bottom of your Skyrim loadout list. It shou?ld also work alongside any other modifications you've got installed, but, as anyone will tell you, there's always a slig??ht risk with these things. We like to live dangerously, yeah?

If you want to summon a Sister of Parvos in Warframe, then chances are you're going to need to use the Xoris to help you do it. Here's everything you need to k??now about obtaining one.

Where to get the Xoris in Warframe

The Xoris is a Corpus-created Glaive that is quite powerful in its own right, but the main use for it is to help you conquer the Granum Void; a requirement for summoning a Sister of Parvos. Unlike most ba?se weapons in Warf?rame, you cannot outright purchase Blueprint or any of its components, at least not initially.

To get these, you must dive into the Deadlock Protocol questline, which will take you through the Granum Void for various story-related reasons. Most importantly, you will end up building the Xoris during the questline and will have to use it during too. The Deadlock Protocol can be accessed from your Codex.

The Deadlock Protocol in Warframe
Screenshot by Destructoid

Once you've built a Xoris and completed The Deadlock Protocol questline, you can purchase additional ?Blueprints an?d parts from Cephalon Simaris, located at any normal relay, in case you ever need to build it again.

What does the Xoris do in Warframe?

As already mentioned, the ??Xoris is a Glaive and can be used for both close-range slashing and lo??ng-range explosive attacks when thrown, allowing you to adapt to different enemy types and situations. Its base damage is evenly split between Slash, Puncture, and Impact, providing balanced performance against different enemy armor types. This is useful for building it against certain enemies.

The Xoris' has two special abilities, the first lying in its infinite combo duration when used with a fully charged throw. Unlike other melee weapons, the Xoriscombo counter doesn't decay, making it ideal for maintaining high damage output over extended fights. Additionally, it can be used to enhance abilities that scale with the combo counter, such as certain Warframe abilities like those of Khora, Valkyr, or Atlas, adding versatility beyond just melee combat.

Granum Void Entrance in Warframe
Screenshot by Destructoid

The other ability is its extreme effectiveness against Errant Specters, common enemies you will encounter while in the Granum Void. The reason you want to use the Xoris in the Granum Void is because it will destroy an Errant Specter in a single throw. This is highly valuable when attempting to summon a Sister of Parvo, as you need to reach the first rank of rewards in a Zenith Granum Crown Void challenge in ?order to do so. Reaching t??he first rank requires killing a number of enemies in the Granum Void within a short amount of time, increasing the value of the Xoris in these encounters.

Thanks largely to the recent Shattered Space DLC, Starfield has been enjoying something of a resurgence. SteamDB shows there has been a bit of?? an uptick in player count on PC, even if the game overall is not exactly beaming with universal prais??e.

All that aside, people are still playing it and modding for it. A recent bit of fan-made content as spotted by DSO Gaming injects a little bit more realism into Starfield, thanks to NPC schedule??s an??d business opening hours.

Starfield: an NPC lies on a bed with soft toys next to them.
Image via FlippingEggs/Nexus Mods.

Created by user FlippingEggs, "NPCs Have Routines and Stores Have Schedules" do?esn't exactly roll off the tongue as a mod title, but it does exactly wh?at it says on the tin. It effectively gives a bunch of non-playable characters a bit of vim, which uses custom AI to give them their own schedules.

"Sorry, bud. I'm closed now."

It should be noted that not every Starfield character has been given the gift of a timetable. The description over o??n Nexus Mods has the following to say:

36 named characters now have daily schedules
4 unnamed but unique characters now have daily schedules
10 new robots work in various stores, so you can buy stuff when the store owner isn't there (Styx included)
57 data slates added to various store countertops and NPCs' personal spaces. Some of these slates are simple notifications of business hours, while others offer you a window into the lives of characters and where you can find them when they aren't working.
1 of these data slates is a??n ?Easter egg for The Expanse

Oh, yeah. That's the other thing. Because the mod gives many businesses in the game actual opening hours, robots can be on-hand to work through the night while th??e proprietor gets some much-needed rest. You'll fi?nd that stores and their owners in places like New Atlantis, Akila City, Neon, and more have been given these schedules.

The creator goes on to say:

If you find a shopkeeper while they're away from their store, or sleeping, their normal dialogue tree will not be available and ?you won't be able to trade with ??them.

They've also been careful t?o make sure the mod doesn't interrupt vanilla quests and should?? be compatible with a lot of other installations you have installed. But it's best to check beforehand.

I don't know why, but "NPCs Have Routines and Stores Have Schedules" puts me in-mind of Oblivion. Remember in the early 2000s when Bethesda was promoting its upcoming Elder Scrolls 4? Todd Howard and his team were so excited about its new "Radiant AI" system, which essentially gave NPCs their own daily routines, including eating, sleeping, and practicing their archery. Ah, to be young again. And also a non-playable ch??aracter in a role-playing game.

Ah, Skyrim. If it weren't for the fact that you were a genuinely good (albeit buggy to hell) game that stays afloat thanks to the modding community, you probably would have disappeared into obs??curity long a??go. Also, hey, here's something you never, ever hear in the game: "Oh no! Look out for that tank!"

Until now, that is. If your WW2 artillery needs are not being met by Skyrim, perhaps this mod will scratch that battle scar. As reported by DSO Gaming, Nexus Mods user MixedMartialArtist brings "World of Tanks" to The Elder Scrolls 5.

//www.youtube.com/watch?v=63g7KvBLaWE

It is, as you can imagine (and as the above clip shows), a means of combining the fantasy world of Bethesda's creation with the ability to and I quote "partake in The Greatest Tank Batt?les in history." Did I mention the destructiv??e tanks? I'm pretty sure I mentioned the destructive tanks. It sort of answers the question of what would happen if you mashed up fanciful role-playing elements with world war re-enactments.

"You're finally awake. Here's a Mauser."

To put it in the creator's own words:

Now Skyrim can be played as a War-Tank Battle Game with an endless amount of epic battles. Skyrim is now full of action and chaos as armies of both sides continue to press into enemy territory with their squads of infantry and armored vehicles. Take part in the war by joining the civil war, a?nd destroy your enemies with the plethora of weapons at your disposal - guns, rockets, tanks, bombs, artillery, you name it. Build your army with ne??w troops and tanks at forts, or simply use your abilities to take control of nearby patrols to follow you. Shoot your machine gun from your commander's cupola, mowing down hordes of bunched up infantry, and fire your main gun to eliminate enemy armor.

I haven't had a chance to download and try "World of Tanks" myself yet, but the clips are putting me in mind of the old Medal of Honor games. Remember those? The idea that we can inhabit a fictional rea?lm where World War 2 tanks and dragons can duke it out f??or moral supremacy is the sole reason we keep on gaming, I feel.

That and The Elder Scrolls 6 still feels like a long way off from releasing. Yeah, yeah. I know. Change the record, already. Or change the Instagram Reel. I'm not sure how to modernize retro sayings. Anyway, what was I saying? Oh yes. Skyrim.

If you're planning to pull her, or already have and are l??ooking to build from scratch, here's everything you need to know to ensure Burnice can utterly cremate yo?ur enemies.

Best Burnice Build in Zenless Zone Zero

Starting with some surface-level details, Burnice is a Fire Anomaly character with a huge focus on Fire DoT (Damage over Time) and Off-field damage. You read that correctly: Burnice deals a large portion of her damage while not on the field, contrasting with every other character in Zenless Zone Zero. That isn't to? say she isn't capable of playing like a standard DPS, however, as all of her abilities have very high damage scaling. This means that Bunrice is very flexib?le with her role, and has several teams and gear setups where she can excel.

Burnice's Gameplan

Burnice burning an enemy in Zenless Zone Zero

Burnice's most fundamental game plan is to come on-field and apply Burn and her unique Afterburn mechanic to as many ?enemies as possible. Enemies afflicted with Afterburn take additional Burn Build-up and Fire Damage when hit by any of her allies, allowing her to fight off the field ?while taking up as little field time as possible.

Afterburn can only be applied when Burnice has enough Heat, which is her secondary resource that determines how long Afternburn can stay applied. When she has more than 50% Heat, she will enter Nitro-Fuel Cocktail State, which, while active, allows her to apply Af?terburn to enemies.

When Afterburn is triggered, Burnice uses a portion of her Heat gauge. To regain Heat, she must use Energy by using EX Specials, creating a constant need to balance both her Energy and Heat gauges. If her Heat is fully drained, she loses her Nitro-Fuel Cocktail State, drastically weakening her overall abilities. Without Heat, she can no longer activate ?Afterburn or use?? her Enhanced Basic Attacks, making careful resource management crucial to maintaining her strength.

Best Drive Disks for Burnice in Zenless Zone Zero

Burnice's stats - Zenless Zone Zero

Since Burnice is an Anomaly character, she values ATK% and Anomaly Proficiency (AP) above all other stats, thanks to Burn being such a large part of her damage. However, because of her overall stat scaling, can she be built viably with Crit, Crit DMG, PEN Ratio, Anomaly Mastery (AM), and Energy Regen ??(ER) as secondary stats to look out for on Drive?? Disks.

  • Disk 4 - AP or ATK%. Note that ATK% should only be used if you have good AP sub-stats on it.
  • Disk 5 - ATK% or Fire DMG%. PEN Ratio% is an option if you have other sources of the stat already.
  • Disk 6 - ATK%, AM, or ER.

The Drive Disk sets you should use on Burnice depend on how you pla??n to build her and how much investment you're willing to put into her?.

Sub-DPS Burnice

Burnice is at her strongest when she is played w??ith ATK% and A??P as her focus while serving as a Sub-DPS for team compositions. With this in mind, Burnice has a few options.

Chaos Jazz Disc in Zenless Zone Zero

  • 4p-Chaos Jazz / 2p-Piece Freedom Blues - This provides a walloping 60 AP to Burnice while also boosting the power of her EX-Specials when swapped in from being off-field. For a majority of roles, this is Burnice's best setup.
  • 4p-Chaos Jazz / 2p-Swing Jazz - Instead of the 30 extra AP, Burnice will gain more Energy Regen, making it easier to maintain her Heat Gauge. Only use this if you're having issues with Energy.
  • 4p-Chaos Jazz / 2p-Puffer Electro - Puffer Electro offers Burnice some extra PEN Ratio for ignoring enemy defenses. I only recommend this if your Burnice already has additional sources of PEN Ratio from weapons, buffs, or Cinemas/Mindscapes.

Hypercarry Burnice

If you plan to play Burnice on-field as your main DPS character, then there are a few more options open to her for Drive Disks outside of Chaos Jazz. However, as a warning, Hypercarry Burnice is very expensive to build optimally, as she wants ATK%, AP, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG on as many Discs as possible to be truly effective. Note: I don't recommend this setup unless you're prepared to invest significant time farming for Burnice's gear.

Inferno Metal Disc in Zenless Zone Zero

  • 4p-Inferno Metal / 2p-Chaos Jazz or Freedom Blues - Gives free 28% CRIT Rate to Burnice when any target is Burning, while providing 30 additional AP.
  • 4p-Inferno Metal / 2p-Swing Jazz - On-field Burnice may need additional energy, which Swing Jazz will provide.
  • 4p-Inferno Metal / 2p-Puffer Electro - As before, the additional PEN Ratio from Puffer Electro will be more effective if Burnice already has additional sources of the stat.
  • 4p- Chaos Jazz / 2p-Inferno Metal - Provides Burnice with the largest amount of Fire DMG% she can possibly get. You will also still want to swap characters on occasion to gain the full benefit from Chaos Jazz.

Best W-Engines for Burnice in Zenless Zone Zero

Burnice's Signature Weapon in Zenless Zone Zero

Unsurprisingly, Burnice's best W-Engine is her signature Flamemaker Shaker, as it provides Burnice with everything she needs to be a strong DPS in any team role. That said, Electro-Lip Gloss(R5) and Fusion Compiler are strong competitive options that allow Burnice to dish out large sums of ??damage. Fusion Compiler, in particular, works exceptionally well if you can stack Burnice with other sources of PEN ??Ratio %.

Beyond these three?? options, I don??'t recommend using anything else outside of niche situations.

Best Mindscapes for Burnice in Zenless Zone Zero

It’s important to note that Burnice is already fully viable and highly effective in the current meta, even at M0. She doesn’t require any of her Mindscapes to excel. How??ever, her Mindscapes amplify her existing strengths and role options, making them even more potent. If you aim to invest in a few, M2 is the ideal stopping point for most players. For your convenience, here’s a breakdown of how each of Burnice's Mindscapes enhances her effectiveness.

Burnice's Mindscapes in Zenless Zone Zero

  • Kindred Flames (M1) - Burnice's M1 is highly potent, as it allows her more leniency on how much Heat you can use, while simultaneously increasing the damage multiplier of Afterburn by a massive 100%. Said Afterburns also accumulate 25% more Burn status. This is a silly strong M1 and is worth the investment if you can get it.
  • Extra at No Additional Charge (M2) - This M2 is strong by default, effectively giving Burnice and her allies a free 20% PEN Ratio at all times if playing around Afterburn correctly. However, this Mindscape gets considerably more powerful if running with additional, outside sources of PEN Ratio %.
  • Optimistic by Nature (M3) - An across-the-board multiplier boost to most of Burnice's kit. Nice, but not worth the investment if you're planning to stop here.
  • Ultimate Fuel Supply (M4) - This Mindscape enhances Burnice's ability to dish out direct damage by giving her Assist and EX Special Attacks a free 30% CRIT Rate at all times. Honestly, this is a really strong Mindscape if you're playing CRIT, but if your focus is on AP, then this is, at best, a nice little extra. It's... okay.
  • Dance of Fire and Ice (M5) - This Mindscape is exactly the same as her M3, just even more of a boost.
  • Burning Invitation (M6) - M6 is a game-changer for Burnice as it allows her to 'proc' her own special version of Afterburn that doesn't consume Heat and without the need of her teammates. Additionally, using EX Special Attack Double Shot causes Burnice's special Afterburn, Double Shot, and Burn effects to ignore 25% Fire Resistance. If that wasn't insane enough, Double Shot's end fireblast will deal a colossal 1800% additional DMG to Burning Targets, once every 20 seconds. Needless to say, this Mindscape is ridiculously strong, if you can get it.

Best Team Comps for Burnice in Zenless Zone Zero

Burnice has several strong team compositions that she works v?ery well for thanks to her versatil?e build options.

Burnice/Jane/Caeser

Burnice Team Comp - Zenless Zone Zero

This is Burnice's strongest team composition, and it functions with Burnice herself acting as sub-DPS for Jane Doe. The team's goal is to cause Disorder, a status effect that occurs when two different Anomalies are applied to an enemy. Ideally, you want Burnice to inflict Burn first and then have Jane 'pop' the ??Burn with an Assault, which triggers Disorder for massive damage. Caeser's part in the team i?s for the additional 1000 flat ATK she gives to the on-field Agent, which will mostly be Jane in this composition.

Burnice/Piper/Lucy

Burnice Team Comp - Zenless Zone Zero

This composition is also powerful and has the same goal as the Jane team previously mentioned: Disorder. The main difference is that both Burnice and Piper will be playing the sub-DPS role together, and you'll switch back and forth between them far more often than the Jane team. Lucy and Caeser are largely interchangeable in this team, though M6 Lucy offers more damag??e output specifically for Piper and Burnice because of the continuous nature of their EX Specials.

Burnice/Caeser/Lucy

Burnice Team Comp - Zenless Zone Zero

If you're playing Burnice as a Hypercarry, this is the strongest composition she has access to thanks to the considerable ATK buff both Caeser and Lucy can consistently provide. This results in a Burnice that will dish out massive damage through her Afterburn, Burn status, and direct damage abilities. Caeser's shield also protects her while she is cha??nneling her flamethrower, and flamethrower hits also activate Lucy's M6, simultaneously.

Burnice/Koleda/Lucy

Burnice Team Comp - Zenless Zone Zero

This team comp also features Burnice as the main ??damage dealer, aiming to make use of Stun windows for the highest possible Burn damage. As a mono Fire team, her Burns will be diluted between all three characters, which is why you want to ensure that Koleda and Lucy are built with damage in mind (CRIT sub-stats, etc...). Additionally, having CRIT sub-stats on Burnice will also help.

Burnice/Rina/Lucy or Caeser

Burnice Team Comp - Zenless Zone Zero

If you're running Burnice with Fusion Compiler and/or are using her M2, then PEN Ratio becomes a highly competitive stat for her to stack. Rina provides a large amount of additional PEN Ratio, and large amounts of it make it stronger overall. Lucy/Caeser continues to provide competent levels of damage while still providing Burnice with her large ATK buff. Ideally, Rina should be M1 and Lucy should be M6 f?or this team to be competitive with the other comps mentioned.

Without a Progenitor, you can never get your hands on some of Warframe's most powerful, destructive weapons. They can be tricky to pin down, but fortunately, I own most of the weapons in question and can explain how you can find one of these tricky en??emies.

Where to find a Progenitor in Warframe

To interact at all with Warframe's Nemesis (Kuva Lich/Sister) system, you must first turn a Progenitor into a Kuva Lich (Grineer) or Sister of Parvo (Corpus). This is done by 'killing' a Progenitor and stabbing him with your Parazon. The next time this Progenitor appears, he will have a name, a staple Element (based on the Warframe you used to kill it), and a serious attitude for you to adjust. More importantly, though, successfully killing this empowered Progenitor will yield a powerful weapon with bonus Elemental?? damage tied to the Element the Lich/Sister was.

Now, where exactly? can you find a Progenitor to begin this process? Despite how difficult they seem to find, they are quite easy to cast out of the shadows.? I'll break down the process for both the Grineer and Corpus.

Grineer Progenitor - Kuva Larvling

Grineer Larvling in Warframe
Screenshot by Destructoid

To spawn a Kuva Larvling, you must first have completed The War Within main quest. Afterward, any Grineer mission that spawns level 20 or higher enemies will have a chance to spawn a Kuva Larvling. During any normal Grineer mission, if your screen begins to flash, you must slay 10 enemies within one minute for a guaranteed appearance of a Kuva Larvling. I've found Capture Missions on the Grineer Asteroid tileset the easiest mission type for spawning Kuva Larvlings, as you will have a near-infini?te source of enemies coming after you even after you've com?pleted the objective.

Once one has spawned for you, slay it and stab it with your Parazon to turn it into a Kuva Lich.

Corpus Progenitor - Candidate

Gold Hand Statue in Warframe
Screenshot by Destructoid

Corpus Candidates are a bit more difficult to summon only because their requirements are a bit more strict. To spawn a Candidate, you must use a Zenith Granum Crown on any Corpus Ship mission and then reach Rank 1 rewards during the challenge. Kill the Corpus Treasurers that spawn to obtain Zenith Crowns. You must then use the Crown on a Gold Hand Tribute statue. Additionally, you must have completed The War Within and Call of the Temperstarii questlines before one can spawn for you.

If you've managed to get this far, then the process for dealing with a Candidate is the same as with the Kuva Larvling. Slay it and stab it with your Parazon to turn it into a Sister of Parvo.

What is a Progenitor Warframe?

The last piece of the puzzle is the Warframe you use to kill a Kuva Larvling or Candidate. As I mentioned, the Element the resulting Kuva Lich or Sister of Parvo will have depends entirely on which Warframe you used to slay it, thus a Progenitor Warframe. If you're looking for a specific element from one of the weapons a Lich or Sister drops, ensure to kill their premature forms with the correct Warframe.

In Warframe, Focus Schools are Operator-based talent trees that provide signif?icant buffs and additional mechanics to your standard Warframe's playstyle. There are five different schools so here's a breakdown of all five, and how they? benefit you to invest into.

All Five Focus Schools in Warframe

The five Focus Schools in Warframe are all tied directly to your Operator, and provide meaningful buffs to both your Operator and Warframe alike. These are Madurai, Naramon, Zenurik, Unairu, and Vazarin. While you can invest in all five, only one can be considered Active, and only the active School will provide?? any benefits.

Madurai

Maduari Tree in Warframe
Screenshot by Destructoid

The Madurai School is primarily focused on greatly empowering your Amps increasing their damage output and energy efficiency while allowing you t?o apply damage amplification buffs/debuffs to yourself and enemies around you. It is an offensive school meant for players interested in using their Operator as much as their Warframe,?? switching in and out of Warframe-to-Operator form like a dance.

The Key Focus nodes for Maduari are Inner Gaze, Eternal Gaze, Power Transfer, and Void Strike.

  • Inner Gaze - Increase Energy for Amps and Void Beam
  • Eternal Gaze - Increases Energy Regeneration for Amps and Void Beam
  • Power Transfer - Increases Amp Critical Damage when swapping to Operator, and Casting Speed when swapping to Warframe
  • Void Strike - Active ability that increases Damage by a percentage amount of the Energy consumed to use this ability

These four nodes highly emphasize the offensive-swap gameplay required to reap the benefits of Maduari?? and should be invested first and foremost.

Naramon

Naramon Tree in Warframe
Screenshot by Destructoid

The Naramon School focuses heavily on improving the Offensive Melee and Mobility capabilities of both your Warframe and Operator while offering some light crowd control as side helping. The tree significantly improves Finisher Damage while also making Combos last longer. Active abilities focus on Mobility and Crowd Control. For players interested close-quarter combats, Naramon is absolutely the best?? choice.

The Key Focus nodes of Naramon are Opening Slam, Power Spike, Sling Stun, and Killer's Rush.

  • Opening Slam - When performing a Slam attack, automatically swap to your Warframe and gain Double Combo generation
  • Power Spike - Melee Combos now decay slowly while out-of-combat instead of all at once
  • Sling Stun - Active ability that increases the width of your next Void Sling, and hitting an enemy with a Void Sling causes them to take more damage from Finishers
  • Killer's Rush - Starting a Finisher with your Operator automatically swaps to your Warframe, and your Melee Critical Chance is increased

These node??s prioritize improving your Melee damage and emphasize the focus on getting up and personal with your foes. As such, they shoul??d be your priority if you choose to Focus on the Naramon school.

Zenurik

Zenurik Tree in Warframe
Screenshot by Destructoid

The Zenurik School focuses almost entirely on granting you constant Energy Regeneration allowing you to use your Operator's and Warframe abilities as you please. As a Utility-??based school, it is meant to be played secondary to your standard Warframe gameplay and provides significant Energy to nearby a??llies as well.

The Key Focus nodes of Zenurik are Energy Pulse, Wellspring, and Hardened Wellspring.

  • Energy Pulse - Picking up Energy Orbs provides bonus Energy over time.
  • Wellspring - Active ability that creates a conduit of Energy that restores Energy over time when passed through. Works for you and allies.
  • Hardened Wellspring - Using Wellspring within an active Wellspring increases its size and improves Ability Strength for all that pass through it.

These nodes support the heavy focus on Energy that Zenurik offers its followers. If you're playing Warframes that want to use their ??abilities often, consider Zenurik as your school of choice.

Unairu

Unairu Tree in Warframe
Screenshot by Destructoid

The Unairu School focuses on improving your Defensive capabilities while also providing several extremely powerful abilities t??hat can easily be used to cripple heavily armored or shielded foes. As a Utility-based school, Unairu's natural ability to deal with well-defended enemies allows followers of the tr?ee to focus their weapons around other disciples rather than directly countering the enemies they face.

The Key Focus nodes of Unairu are Poise, Caustic Strike, Magnetic Flare, and Stone Skin

  • Poise - Gain total immunity to Crowd Control effects when transferring between Warframe and Operator forms
  • Caustic Strike - Activite ability that launches an energy bomb that Strips the Armor of any enemies hit by it.
  • Magnetic Flare - Active ability that creates a radical field that Disables the Shields of any enemies within
  • Stone Skin - Provides an unconditional Armor bonus to your Operator and Warframe at all times

These nodes heavily emphasize the value of choosing the Unairu School as your Focus. The versatility this school offers is unparalleled in Warframe and is a strong choice for those who desire not to have?? to build around? the enemies they face, always having the answer to any problem in Operator form.

Vazarin

Vazarin Tree in Warframe
Screenshot by Destructoid

The Varazin School focuses on dramatically improving your healing and ability to support allies through Health Regeneration and Immunities. As a Support-focused school, Vazarin has little offensive capabil??ities and should be played only as necessary, when healing becomes a requirement, as it? does not offer much beyond this scope.

The Key Focus nodes of Vazarin are Void Regen, Squad Regen, Mending Unity, Guardian Shell, and Protective Sling

  • Void Regen - Regenerate Health over time, increasing the longer you remain in Void Mode to a cap.
  • Squad Regen - When Void Regen reaches its Health Regeneration capstone, spread the effects of Void Regen to your allies with Affinity Range.
  • Mending Utility - Improves the radius of your Affinity Range, making to easier for allies to gain your beneficial effects
  • Guardian Shell - Activity ability that places an Immunity barrier on you and your allies within Affinity Range. The barrier is immune to all damage initially but can be damaged after several seconds have passed.
  • Protective Sling - All allies hit by your Void Sling are granted complete damage Immunity for a short time and receive healing over time

These nodes well-reflect the supportive nature of Vazarin Focus School and should prioritize first before taking anything else in the tree. If you're a player who loves to support the team, consider investing i??n Vazarin.

Warframe 1999 is a unique upcoming update that sort of ties back to the events of Digital Extremes' Dark Sector. Here's e?verything we know about? it, including when it is slated to release.

When is Warframe 1999 going to be released?

While there is no strict date set for the Warframe 1999 update, we do know that it will b?e coming in Winter 2024, which will highly likely end up being sometime in December. The update is slate??d to be rather beefy thanks to the subject matter, but we'll let you know the details once more have been released.

Considered an 'expansion' by the developers, we got a sneak peek of the update during the Whispers in the Walls quest line. During this, players got to go back in time to the age of the very first Tenno, Hayden Tenno, who was, incidentally, the protagonist of Dark Sector. The segment was very short but gave a highly impact?ful preview for? whats to come.

What is Warfarme 1999?

Warframe 1999 is an expansive update for Warframe that will contain a story quest relating to Dark Sector protagonist, Hayden Tenno. The '1999' portion relates to the year of the events of this questline, which is a massive jump back in time for players of Warframe.

Unlike the rest of Warframe, Warframe 1999 will feature dark urban streets and 'modern-sci-fi' features over the high-sci elements the rest of the game already offers. Weapons and enemies will also feature a 'modern' sci-fi twist, that is sure to bring a unique experience to Warframe players, long-time and new.

On October 16, all Warframe players will get to try out Warframe 1999 early with a demo that highlights what to expect from the expansion. Participating in the demo will, additionally, earn all players the Protokil Longsword skin as a free additional gift. Simply claim it from your mailbox once you???? log in.

To access the demo, players will need to have minimally completed the Awakening and Vor's Prize questlines, which is effectively the game's tutorial. You do not need to have completed Whispers in the Wall or any other questline in Warframe to participate.

If you're looking to play the full version of Warframe 1999 on release, however, there are ?several main story quests you need to have completed first and foremo??st.

  • Vor's Prize
  • Saya's Vigil
  • Vox Solaris
  • Once Awake
  • Heart of Deimos
  • The Archwing
  • Natah
  • The Second Dream
  • Rising Tide
  • The War Within
  • Chains of Harrow
  • Apostasy Prologue
  • The Sacrifice
  • Prelude to War
  • The New War
  • Whispers in the Walls
  • The Lotus Eaters

All of these quests can be accessed in-game via your Codex, and you also check your progress on them. Some may individually require additional prerequisites to begin, but you have time to get these all done before the official release of Warframe 1999.

Having access to an Archwing in open envi?ronments can massively save you transversal time in Warframe. Thus, getting an Archwing Launcher Segment should be a prior??ity if you spend a lot of time planetside; here's how you can get one.

Where to get an Archwing Launcher Segment in Warframe

The Archwing Launcher Segment is an Orbiter modification that allows you to install an Archwing Launcher on your ship. This, as a result, will enable you to deploy your Archwing in open-field areas (Ca?mbion Drift, Plains of Eidolon, and Orb Vallis). This is ridiculously useful for exploring those large areas, as moving on foot will waste a lot of your time.

That said, there are two ways you can obtain an Archwing Launcher Segment. The first and easiest is to buy it directly from the Warframe Market. It costs only 175 Platinum, and while Platinum is Warframe's premium currency, you can earn it fairly easily? by selling Void-related goods to other players. I recommend farming up a few rare items from Void Missions and then selling them off if you don't need them. Players are always looking for these trinkets (because of their rarity); thus there is always a decent-sized market for them.

Screenshot by Destructoid

The other method of obtaining an Archwing Launcher Segment is by joining a clan, researching it at the Tenno Lab, and then building it up from scratch. This method will take you considerably more tim??e to complete, so I don't recommend going this route, especially if you're a solo player. If you insist, however, here are the required materials for research and craf??ting the component.

Researching Costs:

  • 20,000x Credits
  • 2x Tellurium
  • 5000x Polymere Bundle
  • 800x Cryotic
  • 600x Oxium
  • 72 Hours (Real-time)

Crafting Costs:

  • 100,000x Credits
  • 50x Grokdrul
  • 50x Iradite
  • 1,200x Oxium
  • 12 Hours (Real-time)

How to use the Archwing Launcher in Warframe

Once you've crafted/purchased an Archwing Launcher Segment and installed it on your Orbitor, you can access the Archwing Launcher. The Archwing Launcher is considered Gear in your inventory, so you'll need to first place it on your Gear Wheel before you can use it.

Archwing Gear Wheel Select in Warframe
Screenshot by Destructoid

When it is on your Gear Wheel, head to any open-field map and cycle to the Archwing Launcher on the wheel. Doing so will automatically deploy our Archwing on the map. You can stay airborne indefinitely, and you have infinite uses for your Archwing Launcher. You can also fire your weapons while it is deployed but cannot use your Warframe's abilities at the same time. You can, however, make use of your? Archwing's abilities? instead.

Camellya is one of the most hyped characters upcoming in Wuthering Waves, and her arrival can get here fast enough. With her being announced as a playable character some weeks back, if you're wondering when you can ??actually start pulling copies of her, here's what you need to know.

When does Camellya come out in Wuthering Waves?

While Kuro Games has not given any details as to when Camellya will officially be released, she has been announced, which does imply a release sooner than you might think if you pay attention to how the banner system works in Wuthering Waves.

When a character is considered the 'Featured Rate-up', it means they are currently on the banner and available to be pulled. Typically, banners last a few weeks a month, with two total banners taking up the duration of an entire major patch. We know for certain that Camellya will be released in Version 1.4 of Wuthering Waves. Currently, we are in Version 1.3, and the current Rate-up character is The Shorekeeper. After her banner ends, there's a high chance there will be a re-run of a previously released character since no second character was ?announced by Kuro Games for 1.3.

Camellya from the official trailer
Image via Kuro Games

In a similar vein, there has been no second character announced for Version 1.4. Only Camellya has been officially announced, which suggests that she is the first character to be a Rate-up in 1.4. If this is indeed the case (which is highly likely at this point), that means that Camellya will release following the re-run character in 1.3. In conclusion, based on these insights, Camellya is highly likely to release on November 14, which is just after the re-run character's? banner ends and likely when Version 1.4 officia?lly releases.

Starfield's Shattered Space expansion may be brand-new, but that h?asn't stopped talented modders from getting busy adding and changing content in Bethesda's latest expansion.

Let's take a look at the 10 of the best mods made just for Starfield: Shattered Space, shall we?

Shattered Space Delayed Start

It's recommended that players be Level 35 before starting Starfield: Shattered Space. However, the game itself gives players the option to do it early, albeit underleveled. Unsuspecting gamers could be caught off guard by this, finding themselves stuck in areas they sim??ply can't progress through.

Shattered Space Delayed Start solves this problem. Using this mod from Nexus Mods user Solshura, the quest to begi?n the DLC won't trigger until you're at the recommended level of 35. A simpl?e quality-of-life fix, but one worth considering in your load order.

Shattered Space No Red Fog

If Starfield: Shattered Space was a little too red for your personal taste, then this mod has you covered. Shattered Space No Red Fog simpl?y removes the red tint from the fog, rather than removing the mist ??altogether.

While this is an extremely small Starfield mod, the abundance of red i??n this DLC means it should make a huge difference to the visuals in your game. But maybe you love the overwhelming red hue, in which case, you should prob??ably leave this mod.

Royal Leveled Enemies - Shattered Space

The creator of Royal Leveled Enemies - Shattered Space, JaeDL, is the talented modder behind the base game's Royal Arena - Leveled Enemies mod. This is simply an expansion of that mod, adjusting the AI and leveling of the?? gam??e's enemies.

This mod i?s ideal if you feel that some of the DLC's combat encounters become too easy, especially in the latter stages. JaeDL is continually updating the mod too, tweaking each NPC to make sure they're fun to fight.

Shattered Space Headparts

In Starfield: Shattered Space, there are several hairstyles worn by Va'ruun NPCs that players can't access. Luckily, Shattered Space Headparts i??s here to save the day. Whether you like them or not, having more options is always a good thing.

According to creator Leyr, they were already marked as playable in the files and just needed to be moved to the right place for pla??yers to use them for character creation. That's a classic Bethesda moment if I have ever seen one.

Shattered Space - Better Rewards and Consequence

You'll feel the effects of Shattered Space - Better Rewards and Consequence throughout your entire playthrough of Starfield's first DLC. As the title kind of implies, it im??proves the quest rewards during the DLC, adding seven new unique items as well as a new ship.

According to creator pietro0games1, it also "reworks some features of the DLC to increase the reward for completing it and the agony of your decisions." This is done to give Shattered Space even more replayability. You're welcome, Bethesda.

VaruunKai Reimagined - A GRiNDTerra Mod

VaruunKai Reimagined - A GRiNDTerra Mod might be the biggest Starfield: Shattered Space mod released so far. It alters existing and? a?dds new biomes, randomizes the size of biome flora and fauna, and switches things up with some different weapon patterns in the DLC.

That's a lot of change in the environment, and you're going to notice an immediate difference if you've played a lot of Starfield: Shattered Space. We'd recommend you experienc??e the base game's environments first, but this is perfect for a repeat playthrough.

Xeno Master - DLC Support Addon

The original Xeno Master mod for Starfield allowed players to tame and capture creatures from around the galaxy. Xeno Master - DLC Support Addon extends this to Shattered Space, although it will also serve as a hub for future Starfield expansions, too.

Frankly, this might be the coolest mod on this entire list. Who doesn't want to tame even more Starfield creatures?!

Dazra - Vacant House Furnished

Can't be bothered to decorate the vacant house in Dazra for yourself? Dazra - Vacant House Furnished does the job for you,?? matching the player home to fit the overall Va'Ruun theme. Sometimes, you just want to kick back without worrying about decorating, and that's okay!

There's no denying t?hat creator Nizon has created something super cozy here, making this a perfect home for any Spacefarer.

Rabbit's Real Lights Dazra

Rabbit's Real Lights Dazra might be one of the best Starfield graphics mods available right now. This is a comprehensive lighting overhaul for Dazra, adding over 400 hand-placed light sources? while removing Bethesda's fake ones. Unlit decals have also been removed.

The overall effect is stunning, making Dazra's lighting feel much more realistic. Your brain picks up on fake lighting sources. Even if you don't know exactly what's wrong, you know something's not quite right. Rabbit's Real Lights Dazra solves this issue for this particular Starfield: Shattered Space location.

Royal Weathers - Va'Ruun'kai

Royal Weathers - Va'Ruun'kai is gorgeous, adding many new weather effects to the Starfield: Shattered Space planet. This should make exploring it far more inter?esting, especially while playing through the DLC mul??tiple times.

It also comes from JaeDL, the modder behind Royal Leveled Enemies - Shattered Space. They've clearly got an eye for detail when it comes to Starfield: Shattered Space mods.
