Ficsit Farming

For some reason, farming is a big thing among gamers. Ficsit Farming introduces not just farming, but one hell of a lot of crop variety and buildings to make Satisfactory enough of a competitor to Farming Simulator or Stardew Valley.

The 14 new buildings? introduced by this mod not only offer great functionality but also look absolutely gorgeous.

You can get Ficsit Farming right here.

Structural Solutions

Are you starting to take functional architecture very seriously? Are you no longer capable of building a megastructure that simply works? Do you need it to both do its job and look great at doing so? Then St?ructural Solution is definitely the solution to your problem.

This mod introduces a huge amount of extra structures to help you build functional works of art in areas more averse to construction. This is the one to get if you want to up your architectural flair. Get Structural Solutions right here.

Circuitry

Sa??tisfactory offers more than?? most could even think to ask for in a simulation game, but there are always those who want more. Circuitry is arguably the most complex and hardest to explain mod for the game, as it adds various possibly insanely complex new mechanics to your game.

Do you want to personalize your factory with ?logic panels, displays that show y?ou all sorts of extremely detailed information, math gates, color gates, and even top-notch integration with many of the other top mods? Then this is the one for you.

You can get Circuitry right here.

Linear Motion

Does going from point A to a higher (or lower) point B sometimes feel like way more of a hassle than it should be in Satisfactory? Then Linear Transportation is the mod for you.

This mod introduces?? all sorts of mechanisms that help elevate and lower all matter of vehicles and?? will make transportation inside your factory much easier.

You can get Linear Motion right here.

MiniMap mod in Satisfactory

MiniMap

Sometimes, the best quality-of-life additions are the simplest ones. Like Lethal Company, which improves a ton by adding a few simple mods, Satisfactory also gains a whole new dimension simply by adding a??? Minimap.

After you acqu??ire the map in the game, the MiniMa??p will be accessible and customizable at all times.

You can get MiniMap right here

Teleporter

Once you?r factory gets too large to traverse in a fun manner, a teleporter might become the best option for transportation. Ok, who am I kidding a teleporter is always the best means o??f transportation.

This mod allows you to place teleportation pods and even customize them, all the way down to the name. The maker says this is for the sake of knowing where each te?leporter will take you, but we know it's just so we grow even more attached to these incredibly useful additions.

You can get the Teleporter right here.

MK++ in Satisfactory

MK++

Do you think your building's efficiency ceiling is lower than it should be? Worry not,?????????????????????????? MK++ says, "this isn't even my final form," and introduces higher tiers for a bunch of machines to raise their efficiency and functionalities.

If you want a mod that will amp your factory up in Satisfactory, then this is it.

You can get MK++ right here.

Difficulty Tuner

Not all great mods need to add something spectacular. You can also improve the game a great deal by making it more accessible to players who have less time to spend on it. Difficulty Tuner is great for adding sliders to basically every aspect of the game, allowing you to get things built faster but for the same cost, or faster and at a lower cos?t. You can make it just as easy or difficult as you want.

The Gas Mask's unlocking process has slightly changed with the release of the Satisfactory 1.0 update.

The Gas Mask is an important gear in Satisfactory as it helps you to breathe and save your health points from depleting in an area filled with toxic gas. If you are jumping on to the game after the 1.0 update??, you can’t unlock it from the HUB Terminal anymore.

The Gas Mask ??now unlocks from the MAM, a??nd is present under the Mycelia Research tree:

  • Complete the first node by depositing 5x Mycelia.
  • Complete the second node, Fabric, by depositing 25x Mycelia and 100x Biomass.
  • Then you’d be able to unlock the Gas Mask node by spending 10x Coal, 50x Fabric, and 50x Steel Pipes.

Mycelia is a fungi-like substance that resembles a mushroom and you can find them scattered all over the map.

How to craft a Gas Mask

To craft a Gas Mask in Satisfactory, all you need ??to do is:

  • Head over to the Equipment Workshop.
  • Have 50x Fabric, 10x Copper Sheet, and 10x Steel Pipe in your inventory.
  • Deposit all the materials and wait for a few seconds for the Gas Mask to get crafted.

The recipe to craft Steel unlocks much later in Satisfactory 1.0, after you've got a good grasp of how the entire upgrading process ??works and reached a pa??rticular milestone.

As you progress with your base-building journey in Satisfactory to increase tiers of the HUB Terminal, you'll require several items that will come in handy to produce bigger and better equipment and buildings to reach the endgame. ?Steel falls midway, and here's how you can unlock it.

How to unlock Steel in Satisfactory

Basic Steel Production milestone in Satisfactory 1.0
Screenshot by Destructoid

To unlock Steel, you first need to initiate the Tier 3 HUB Terminal upgrade and complete the Basic Steel Production milestone. To complete this milestone, you will need:

  • 50x Modular Frame
  • 150x Rotor
  • 500x Concrete
  • 1000x Wire

Then wait for 8 minutes ??for the pod to return and you'll finally unlock Steel in the game. Remember, to unlock the Tier 3 HUB Terminal upgrade, you first need to complete Phase 1 of the Space Elevator.

I would suggest locating as many loot crash sites as possible and looting Hard Drives. In those spots, you will fi?nd enough Modular Frames and Rotors to fulfill the first two criteria.

Along the way, you also unlock recipes for other items such as Foundry, Steel Ingot, Steel Beam, Steel Pipe, and Versatile Framework. These items are some of the most important resources in the game as they would be useful to begin with Phase 2 of the Space Elevator.

How to craft Steel Ingot in Satisfactory

To craft Steel Ingot, you'll require:

  • 3x Iron Ore
  • 3x Coal

Then put them in the two input slots of the Foundry wait for them to smelt, and boom, you'll get 3x Steel Ingots. It takes 4 seconds to craft and you can increase the production process by Overclocking the Foundry.

If you haven't built the Foundry yet, keep 10x Modular Frame, 10x Rotor, and 20x Concrete in your inventory and get it craft?ed as soon as possible.

Using Steel Ingots, you would be able to craft other Steel-related items including the Steel Beams and Steel Pipes. There are some alternate recipes for Steel as well, but for that??, you need to research Hard Drives.

Finding Hard Drives in Satisfactory 1.0 is essential as they unlock all the alternate recipes to different items available in the game.

The entire world of Satisfactory is filled with crash sites and from these spots, you can retrieve precious resources such as Wires, Rotors, Motors, and more.? You also obtain a Hard Drive from each of these sites that you can scan under the Molecular Analysis Machine (MAM) to unlock alternate recipes.

How many Hard Drives are there in Satisfactory?

In Satisfactory, there are 118 crash sites in total which means you can get as many Hard Drives from these locations.

All you ?need to do is rotate the lever of the crashed drop pod to open it. You'll sometimes need to keep an item such as a Modular F??rame to open it, after which you can drag the Hard Drive into your inventory.

Be careful though as most of the crash sites are pr?otected by hostile creatures. Kill?? them first and then proceed to open the crashed drop pods. The other non-hostile spots, however, will be located at a higher altitude.

Apart from all the starting locations you can choose from, these Hard Drives are scattered in some places that you can only access after exploring the map thoroughly.

How to use a Hard Drive to unlock alternate recipes?

Once you have gathered some Hard Drives, head ??over to the Molecular Analysis Machine (MAM), and start scanning it. It will take 10 minutes for one scan or research to complete after which you can choose between two alternate recipes.

In Satisfactory, it's important to have an efficient Versatile Framework factory up and running pretty early. In fact, you'll use Versatile Frameworks throughout every phase of Satisfactory, including needing a staggering 2,500 of them as part of your Phase 3 completion. Here is how to make an efficient Versatile Framework setup in Satisfactory to cover your needs.

Best Versatile Framework Factory in Satisfactory
Screenshot by Destructoid

Best Versatile Framework Factory in Satisfactory

This efficient Versatile Framework setup for Satisfactory will produce a total of 10 Versatile Framework every 10 minutes, which will be enough to last you throughout all of Satisfactory. The only re??source requireme?nts for this factory is 240 Coal per minute, and a total of 360 Iron Ore per minute. Depending on the quality of nodes in which you setup this factory, you can achieve this with just a single Coal and Iron Ore Miner. Keep in mind you can also Overclock the Miners to reach the output you need.

Regardless of how you acquire the resources needed, here are all the buildings for the factory that you will need to const??ruct to get this factory up and running, in case you want to ?add them to your to-do list:

  • 4 Smelters
  • 6 Foundries
  • 14 Constructors
  • 7 Assemblers

Once you have all the materials needed to construct the buildings, it's t?ime to begin building your Versatile Framework factory. Start from the point in which you have both your Coal and Iron Ore being brought in. First, let's start with the Iron Ore. Send the Iron Ore into a Splitter that splits the Iron Ore three ways, then immediately reconnect two of the three using a Merger. This is so you will have 240 Iron Ore / min going one way, and 120 Iron Ore / min going a separate way.

In the direction that the 240 Iron Ore/min is ??going, place your 6 Foundries. Set them all to produce Steel Ingots. Make sure you're also splitting your incoming Coal to go to each of the 6 Foundries, as well. The best wa??y to input all resources into buildings is by using manifolds. Underclock one of the Foundries to 40% if you want pure efficiency.

Next, build four Constructors after the Foundries, and feed all of the Steel Ingots you are producing at the Foundries into the four C??onstructors, each making Steel Beams.

With all your Coal and 2/3 of your Iron Ore going to the Foundries, it's tim??e to go back t??o the other 120 Iron Ore / min and put it to use. Build four Smelters each producing Iron Ingots, and connect your 120 Iron Ore / min to it using a splitter manifold. Split the outgoing Iron Ingots with 52.5 units / min going one way, and 67.5 units / min going the other way.

With the 52.5 ?Iron Ingots / min, place 4 Constructors all crafting Iron Rods, with?? one of them Underclocked to 50%. Send 22.5 Iron Rods / min to 3 more Constructors making Screws.

Switch ??back to the other 6.5 Iro??n Ingots you're producing, and have them all going into 3 Constructors building Iron Plates. Underclock one of these to 30% to be as efficient as possible.

Next, build 2 Assembler's, with one of them Underclocked to 50%. Set both of them to produce Reinforced Iron Plates, then feed them with your produced Iron Plates using a splitter manifold, and then feed all of the Screws you are produc??ing into them as well.

After these two Assemblers, place another 3 Assemblers, and set one to Underclock at 50%. Set all of these to make Modular Frames. Now, use Splitter Manifolds to feed your Reinforced Iron Plates and the remaining 30 Iron Rods per? minute that you are producing from earlier into the Modular Frame Assemblers.

Finally, create two new Assemblers both running at 100%, and set them to make your Versatile Framework. Use Splitter Manifolds to feed them the Modular Frames you just setup, as well as all the Steel Beams you setup earlier. Each of these two Assemblers will create 5 Versatile Framework per minute, giving you the total of 10 Versatile Framework per minu??te.

This is the most efficient setup for producing Versatile Framework in Satisfactory. It should be al?l you need, but if you want to produce more for any reason, simply create an identical factory to the one y??ou just built. Just keep in mind this entire setup will consume about 350 MW of power, which can be a hefty amount until you get Oil Production going.+

As the name suggests, you can carry the Portable Miner easily from place to place, and is also one of the first machines you can unlock early in Satisfactory 1.0.

The Portable Miner helps to partially automate the extraction process of resources after you place it on a node. It ?comes with a ?limited storage capacity and is not as efficient as a Miner Mk.1.

How to unlock the Portable Miner in Satisfactory and craft it

To unlock the Portable Miner, complete the Tier 0 - HUB Upgrade 1. This will unlock the Equipment Workshop from which you would be able to access the Por??table Miner.

To craft a Portable Miner, simply:

  1. Head inside the Equipment Workshop and press the E button to interact with it.
  2. Keep 2x Iron Plates and 4x Iron Rods ready in your inventory. These are the materials required to craft the equipment.
  3. Then, hold down the yellow Craft button for a few seconds to craft the Portable Miner.

T??his equipment doesn't require many resources. This allows you to construct multiple of them to make the job easier during the early game phases. The mining speed of this equipment is decent as it can churn mines at a speed of:

Mining Speed Resource Node type
20 items per minute Impure nodes
40 items per minute Normal nodes
80 items per minute Pure nodes

However, you can't overclock it unlike the?? bigg??er Miners that are available later.

How to use a Portable Miner in Satisfactory 1.0

To use the equipment, press Tab and replace the Xeno-Zapper with the Portable Miner in y?our hands slot. Now all you need to do is find a resource node such as Iron, Copper, or Limeston??e.

Then press the left mouse but?ton to place the Miner on top of the ??node and once done, you can interact with it by pressing the E button.

You can easily carry it from one place to another. Simply press the yellow Pick Up Miner button while it's active a??nd i??t will slide right back into your inventory.

Apart from early game phases, you can also use it to collect resources while exploring other starting loc?ations, without worrying too much a??bout setting up massive systems for resource automation.

As you progr?ess, the Portable Miner will be used to craft better production buildings such as Mine??r Mk.1, Miner Mk.2, Miner Mk.3, and Drones.

The Lizard Doggo is willing to do some of the?? work on your behalf, albeit not anything massive, but this pal can collect several resources while you focus on the more important base-bui?lding tasks.

Taming a Lizard Doggo in Satisfactory for gathering help

It's not ?a difficult task, but you'll need a few resources to tame a Lizard Doggo. If you're looking to make one of these critters a pet in Satisfactory, all you need to do is:

  1. Have Paleberries in your inventory
  2. Find a Lizard Doggo and toss a few berries in front of it
  3. Let the creature approach on its own and eat
  4. While it's snacking, press the E button to pet the doggo

Once it's done eating and starts approaching you, it means i??t has been tamed. The process is quite simple and you can get a Lizard Doggo pretty early in the game.

A tamed Lizard Doggo collects and delivers items to you

So, now that you've got a pal, what can it do? Here is a list of a few ite?ms that a tamed Lizard Doggo can collect and bring to you:

  • Cup
  • Limestone
  • Motor
  • Mycelia
  • Paleberry
  • Power Slugs (Blue, Yellow, Purple)
  • Raw Quartz
  • SAM Ore
  • Sulfur
  • Uranium

Out of all these items, SAM Ores are some of the rarest items you can find in Satisfactory 1.0, and collecting them requires a lot of effort. This is why players consider this resource for late-game phases for building structures such as an Alien Power Augmenter.

As you continue expanding your base in the starting regions of Satisfactory 1.0, you??'ll require more resources and an easy way?? to do that is by overclocking all the machines at your disposal.

By increasing the clock speed of machines, you increase their efficiency to produce more resources in less time. The best thing about this feature is that it can double the resources produced from a single piece of machinery and doe?sn't require you to increase their counts.

How to Overclock in Satisfactory

To unlock Clock speed, you must achieve that through the Power Slugs Research chain in the Molecular Analysis Machine (MAM). You'll need the fo?llowing items to unlock the Clock spe??ed:

  • 1x Power Shard
  • 50x Iron Plate
  • 50x Wire

To unlock a Power Shard, you have to collect either of the Blue, Yellow, or Purple Power Slugs. They appear on the map in plenty, so it won't be a hassl??e collecting these bugs. Then complete the Yellow Power Slugs Research first, it will take 3 seconds and unlock the Power Shard to craft it from the Crafting Bench or Constructor.

To overclock a machine, all you need to do is:

  1. Go to a machine and open its interface (it can be a Miner or a Power Generator).
  2. Insert a Power Shard.
  3. You can either drag the slider to the right or enter a percentage to overclock the machine.

In the same way, you can underclock ??a machine simply drag the slider to the left and the production rate will re??duce.

However, make sure you have enough power to support overclocking machines in Satisfactory. If you're running on limited power, be prepared for a ?Fuse Break and the entire production process will come to a halt.

The best machine to overclock in Satisfactory 1.0 would be the Miners. They will extract more resources such as Copper and Iron ore, which you can then put to use in different as?pects such as manufacturing Iron Plates, Wires, Iron Rods, Screws, and a lot more.

Unlike some other games, the Map doesn't come unlocked right out of the bat in Satisfactory 1.0, and you ne??ed to complete a few steps before reaching there.

For a huge open-world game boasting features and resources to collect such as Satisfactory, the map plays one of the most important roles ?in tracking your progress. It gives you an idea of all the areas you've discovered so far and mark down places for, you know, future reference.

How to get the Map in Satisfactory

Tier 1 Field Research Milestone in Satisfactory 1.0
Screenshot by Destructoid

To unlock the map, you first need to complete the Tier 1 Field Research Milestone. This comes right after completing the Onboarding? process or tutor?ial.

Like the Onboarding process, the Field Researc??h? Milestone also costs a few resources, and here's a rundown of it:

  • 300x Wire
  • 300x Screw
  • 100x Iron Plate

These resources are pretty easy to co??llect during the early game, and it's best if you set up an automated system including Miners, Storage Co?ntainers, Smelters, Conveyor Belts, Constructors, and a lot of power.

How to access the Map

Once the map gets unlocked, you can access it by pressing the 'M' button. The shortcut also shows up on the bottom-right of the screen along with other sho??rtcuts, so you won't miss out on?? it.

You can then place different markers for different locations. Let's say you've chosen Grass Fields as a starting location and discovered a pure SAM Ore spot nearby, you can mark it down for later.

You can zoom in between 1x to 8x by either dragging the slider on the bottom-right?? corner of the screen or using the scroll wheel.

To unlock the Alien Power Augmenter recipe in Satisfactory 1.0, craft the Molecular Analysis Machine (MAM) and proceed with the Alien Technology tree.

On the top right set, place a Somersloop and wait for the research to take place. You will unlock the Power?? Augmenter recipe. However, to start with the research, you'll need:

  • 1x Somersloop
  • 100x Sam Fluctuator
  • 50x Computer

To unlock the SAM Fluctuator, complete the Reani??mated SAM research first and that requires 10x SAM Ores.

How to craft an Alien Power Augmenter

Once you have unlocked?? the recipe, you'll need these materials to craft an Alien P??ower Augmenter:

  • 10x Somersloop
  • 50x Sam Fluctuator
  • 100x Cable
  • 50x Encased Industrial Beam
  • 25x Motor
  • 10x Computer

Once done, build a Power Po?le Mk.1 and connect the entire setup to a Power Line. An Alien Power Augmenter can generate 500 MW of power on its own and ultimately help substantially amplify the?? power generated from your entire base.

The only downside to Alien Power Augmenters is that you can only build a limited number of them, ??as the required ma?terials are pretty rare. Some are even non-renewable, such as Somersloops.

Strange Alien Matter or SAM Ores has found a new purpose after the release of the Satisfactory 1.0 update and is now quite a useful resource d?uring the late-game phase in your journey.

Unlike other ores such as Iron or Copper, SAM is the rarest resource to find in Satisfactory. These resources are located in some of the starting regions in the game, and we have listed ?all the locations below.

How many types of SAM Ores are there?

In Satisfactory 1.0, SAM Ores appear in three rarities:

  • Pure
  • Normal
  • Impure

All SAM Ore locations in Satisfactory 1.0

Grass Fields

Grass Fields Sam Ore locations
Image via satisfactory-calculator

In Grass Fields, you can find SAM Ore mostly in the southern region, located underground. These are the coordinates of the place: -24066, 269858. 134 me??ters below the surface, you can find N??ormal SAM Ores with the help of a Miner.

Rocky Desert

Rocky Desert Sam Ore locations
Image via satisfactory-calculator

The Rocky Desert has a single Normal SAM Ore spot and lacks any pure or impure spots. Head over to the -182183, -142369 coordinates, 17 meters below ??the surface to mine this resource.

Northern Forest

Northern Forest Sam Ore locations
Image via satisfactory-calculator

There are o??nly two SAM Ores to find in the Northern Forest region. The location marked in green signifies a Pure SAM Ore location, so you must opt for that as the yield will be a l??ot more than the Impure one in red.

Here are the coordinates of the Pure SAM Ore location in the Northern Forest: 82559, -219609.

Dune Desert

Dune Desert Sam Ore locations
Image via satisfactory-calculator

Coming to the Dune Desert, you can find one Normal and one Impure SAM Ore location. Go for the Normal ore as the yield will be higher, and here are its coordinates: 172559, -285517.

All Pure SAM Ore locations in Satisfactory 1.0

Additionally, if you are specifically looking for Pure SAM Ore locations which you can find only on three particular locations on the entire map, head over to the coordinates listed below:

Location Coordinates
Eastern Dune Forest (Southwest of Dune Desert) 162899, 65414
Western Dune Forest (North of Grass Fields) -48375, 128937
Spire Coast (in Northern Forest) 82559, -219609

How to mine SAM Ores in Satisfactory 1.0

Mining SAM Ores is very simple. All you need to do is set? up a Miner at the locations we have listed above.

You may also tame a Lizard Doggo as the??y will fetch you these rare resources occasional??ly.

What are the uses of SAM Ores?

SAM Ores in their native state are useless and you need to convert them to Reanimated SAM first. From there, convert the Reanimated SAM to SAM Fluctuators which are used to craft Portals and Converters.

The best PC settings are the ones that will rock a good balance between FPS and quality. For an open-world game like Satisfactory, it becomes even more important as the possibilities?? of building and expanding your factories are endless, an??d that can require a lot of resources.

Thanks to a generous set of system requirements from Coffee Stain Studios, you can easily achieve that balance even on a bit dated hardware. So, here are some of the best quality and performance settings for Satisfactory 1.0.

Best Quality settings for Satisfactory

To get the best out of Satisfactory, you simply have to set all the graphics settings to Ultra, as that will ensure ach??ieving the highest quality.

In Satisfactory, the Rotor item quickly becomes a staple component used in plenty of recipes, building constructions, and Milestone Upgrades all the way from the early game extending into the end game. Here is the best Rotor Layout in Satisfactory that you can use early on to get your Rotor production up to speed fast?.

Best Rotor Layout and Blueprint

While most of the items and components you will create in the early game of Satisfactory can be quickly set up and even manually crafted, you're going to want an actual factory to handle th??e production of your Rotors. The best Rotor layout will produce 10 Rotors per minute for each instance of the factory you build. First, let's go over everything you will build so you know the upfront material costs required to build this Rotor Layout:

  • At least 112.5 incoming Iron Ore per minute
  • 4 Smelters producing Iron Ingots
  • 8 Constructors producing Iron Rods
  • 7 Constructors producing Screws
  • 3 Assemblers producing Rotors
  • 1 Storage Container for storing Rotors

All of the incoming Iron Ore will feed into the Smelters crafting Iron Ingots, w?hich will all be turned into Iron Rods. From there, the Iron Rods will split, allocating some of them for producing Screws, while sending the rest to the Assemblers at the end of your factory. At the Assemblers, your Screws and Iron Rods are turned into Rotors.

How to build the best Rotor Factory in Satisfactory

Start your Rotor Factory by building a 9-wide and 13-long area of foundations which will be the ground floor for your factory. For the rest of the way, imagine the layout of your factory like a spreadsheet or table when placing each building. He?re are all the steps for building this massive Rotor Layout Factory and start producing 10 Rotors per minute:

  1. Build a 9-wide and 13-long area of foundations which is the ground floor.
  2. Construct your four Smelters in the second row, in the 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th column. Set them to craft Iron Ingots.
  3. Build your manifold feed line by plating four Conveyor Splitters, one in front of each of the Smelters but in the center of the first row. Each of these should be inputted from the right of your factory, but split to the left and forward.
  4. Place a Splitter in front of each of the Smelters, centers in row 3, inputting directly from each of the Smelters.
  5. Build 8 Constructors in Row 4, starting with the first column and going all the way through the 8th column, with the last Constructor in front of your right-most Splitter. Set these all to craft Iron Rods.
  6. Connect your Splitters with each of your Constructors, with each Splitter feeding two Constructors. Your Conveyor Belts should go from each splitter to the Constructor in front of it, and then out the left side into the Constructor in the column to the left.
  7. In front of the first three Iron Rod Constructors, build a centered Conveyor Merger in Row 5. Point the output of the Merger in the first column aimed forward, and for the second and third column, aimed to the left. Next, build a Conveyor Splitter in front of the fourth Iron Rod Constructor, inputting from it. Connect the first four Constructors using Conveyor Belts, and then run belts connecting the Splitter and three Mergers, all going to the left feeding into the left most Merger.
  8. For the last for Iron Rod Constructors, place Conveyor Mergers in Row 5. The Mergers in column 5, 6, and 7 should all be feeding to the right, with the final Conveyor Merger in front of the right most Constructor feeding forward. Connect them all with Conveyor Belts feeding into the right-most Conveyor Merger.
  9. Go back to the only Conveyor Splitter in Row 5, located in Column 4. Place a Conveyor Belt connecting from the right of this Splitter into the Conveyor Merger on the right in Column 5, and then again from the forward-facing split into the top-most input on the Conveyor Merger in Column 5. Look at the above screenshot for details if this is confusing, to see how Row 5 should be set up.
  10. Place down 6 Conveyor Splitters in Row 6, in Columns 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. The Splitter in Column 8 should be fed from the Conveyor Merger in Row 5, while all the others should be feeding to the left. Connect all of these with Conveyor Belts going to the left. As soon as you're able, upgrade the Conveyor Belt connecting the Merger in Row 5 to the Splitter in Row 6 to Tier 2.
  11. Construct 7 new Constructors in Row 7, starting in Column 2 and going through Column 8. All of these should be set to create Screws. If you have Underclocking unlocked, set the right-most Constructor to 25% Clock Speed producing only 10 per minute to help with bottlenecking. Connect all the splitters in Row 6 to the Constructors in Row 7.
  12. In Row 8, Column 3, place a Conveyor Merger feeding forward, then connect the first two Screw Constructors to it. In Column 4, place a Splitter feeding in from the Screw Constructor in front of it, and then another forward-facing Constructer Merger in Column 5. Connect the Constructers to the Merger/Splitter in front of it, as well as connect belts between each output side of the Splitter into the Merger beside it. Connect the third Screw Constructor from the right into the Merger to the left of it as well. Finally, in Column 7, put a forward-facing Conveyor Merger, then connect the two right-most Constructors to it.
  13. It's finally time to put down our Rotor Assemblers. Put all of these in the Row 10 region. Place the first one so that the leftmost input is lined up with the left-most Merger in Row 8. To the right of that, put down an Assembler where the right-most input lines up with the Merger in Row 8 that is to the right of the Splitter. Place the third and final Assembler so that the rightmost input lines up with the right-most Merger in Row 8. Connect them all with conveyor belts.
  14. Place a Conveyor Splitter on top of each of the three Conveyor Mergers in Row 8, feeding from the left. Connect the forward facing output of each of these splitters to the left-input of each of the three Assemblers in front of them. Connect the Splitters with belts, and then connect the left-most Merger from Row 5, feeding into the left-most splitter you just created in Row 8.
  15. Make sure all the Assemblers are set to make Rotors, and as soon as you unlock Underclocking, set the right-most Assembler to 50% which will produce 2 Rotors per minute.
  16. Place a right-facing Conveyor Merger after the second and third Assemblers, then run a Conveyor Belt from the first Assembler into the left of the first Merger, then a belt connecting the first Merger to the second one to the right of it.
  17. Finally, to the right of the Merger, place a Storage Container and connect it with a belt, so all of your Rotors will be sent into that Storage Container.

All that's left to do is power your factory then feed the Iron Ore into it, and voila, with this best Rotor layout in Satisfactory, you'll be producing 10 Rotors p?er minute, fully automated!

In Satisfactory 1.0, you will come across Hard Drives that when properly researched will grant you Alternate Recipes. These Alternate Recipes allow you to create products using different required materials, which can often allow you to save resources by using them. We've put together this Satisfactory 1.0 Alternate Recipe Tier List so you know which ones you should try to research ?as soon as pos??sible.

Alternate Recipe Tier List

The goal of this Satisfactory A?lternate Recipe Tier List is to help you decide which Alternate Recipes you should cho??ose when discovering new Hard Drives. Some of these Alternate Recipes are complete game changers and will make your factories much more efficient, while others are simply not even worth using unless you have an extreme overabundance of a specific resource.

The Alternate Recipes in the S Tier are the absolute best recipes in the game and will literally streamline certain supply chains. Recipes in the A Tier are also very worthwhile and will provide you with efficient options to make certain goods more easily. The Alternate Recipes in the B Tier often provide solid alternatives that will often be worthwhile to grab, while those in the C Tier might have specific scenarios in which you will want to switch to them as opposed to their default recipe. Finally, Alternate Recipes in the D Tier aren't really worth using unless you're extre??mely short in supply on some of the default recipe resources while those in the F Tier are not worth using under any circumstance as they are often net negatives in terms of resource usage.

Nearly five years after its Early Access release, Satisfactory has finally reached its official 1.0 release. Whether you're a long-term player returning for the full release, or a beginner just starting your factory-building adventure, you're going to want to pick the best place to start building your factory. Here is the best starting location in Satisfactory 1.0 to gi?ve you the strongest advantages to b??????????????????????????uilding your factory.

Best place to start in Satisfactory 1.0

The best starting location in Satisfactory 1.0 is the Rocky Desert. When you first create a new world in Satisfactory, y??????????????????????????ou may notice it recommends the Grass Fields as an easy starting location. However, this is a bit misleading if you're looking for the actual best location. While?? the Grass Fields is a decent starting spot if you're new to the game due to having a lot of ore nodes in a wide open area, most of the nodes in the Grass Fields are actually Impure or Normal quality nodes, which aren't ideal.

Meanwhile, the Rocky Desert was considered one of the best starting locations all throughout Early Access and was actually made even better with the Satisfactory 1.0 release due to the addition of four new Coal Nodes northwest of the starting area. With these easy-to-access Coal Nodes, you can get your coal power production up even quicker and mo??re easily and can utilize the previously existing coal nodes to the east and northeast to ram??p up your Steel Production.

Also, most of the nodes found throug??hout the Rocky Desert are quality Pure Nodes, and the space around them is flat and vast giving you plenty of opportunity to build sprawling factories as you climb through the tiers.

All Satisfactory 1.0 starting locations ranked

In case there's some reason you just don't want to start in the Rocky Desert, or are simply trying to decide the best alternative starting location for your Satisfactory 1.0 run, we've ranked all four of the potential starting locations based on their overall potential. Here are all four Satisfactory 1.0 starting locations ranked:

  1. Rocky Desert
  2. Northern Forest
  3. Dune Desert
  4. Grass Fields

The Northern Forest is a solid backup option to the Rocky Desert, but both the Dune Desert and Grass Fields are overall less effective starting locations. If you want a challenge or simply enjoy the scenery they offer, you can of course still play through Satisfactory without issue at these starting locations. But in terms of overall best options, you'll want to stick wi??th Rocky Desert or even Northern Forest.

Over the years, Coffee Stain Studios has been continuously updating Satisfactory. We've seen various updates to the factory-building world, including the new Spire Coast, visual improvements, and blueprint customization. It all leads to the game's official debut, which may arrive sooner than you think. Here's the release window for Satisfactory 1.0 and what new content to expect.

Updated on July 5, 2024: Added the official release date, as confirmed by Coffee Stain Studios, and information about 1.0's new content.

When does Satisfactory 1.0 come out?

Satisfactory's initial Roadmap revealed that 1.0 would be released sometime in 2024, with a follow-up on July 5 confirming that Satisfactory's full release will launch on September 10, 2024. The roadmap gave us a rough timefram??e of several major content updates between 2019 and 2024, with the July announcement detailing their planned features for the full release. Coffee Stain Studios also indicates that there will be no further major updates during its Early Access period.

Update 8, the final patch of Satisfactory Early Access, is all about enhancing your gaming experience. It brings significant accessibility improvements t??o Blueprints, making it a breeze to dismantle and place them. While there won't be any new patches, rest assured that any issues you encounter will be addressed in Version 1.0.

All new content in Satisfactory 1.0

Satisfactory's July announcement revealed the upcoming new features that'll launch in September 2024, primarily centered around overa?ll world updates, game optimization, and improved dedicated servers, among other features. Here is a list of the highlights from the announcement:

  • World updates, including resource nodes being modified.
  • Recipe updates that change costs, particularly with tiers 5 and 6.
  • MAM Research tree updates.
  • Fuel generator modifications
  • Numerous game optimization updates, including foliage hitbox changes and improvements to belts and pipes.
  • Dedicated server improvements, including support for TLS.

Coffee Stain Studios' Optimization video gave us more insight into Satisfactory's performance. 1.0 aims to make loading times and joining games much faster. Additionally, dedicated servers w??ill run better during ??its full launch, thanks to the optimization improvements across the board.

The studio also discussed what Satisfactory 1.0 won't have, including the giant crab shown in a previous trailer. The boss will not be a part of the full release since Coffee St??ain Studios is still working on the game's combat side.

Although mods are available for Early Access, 1.0 will not have mod support. You can still use mods from the community, but official support will arrive later. Other than these elements, there will be no improvements/additions to circular foundations, roads, and logic systems. The studio will continue to tweak or look into th??is content after the rel?ease of 1.0.

It's important to note that Satisfactory 1.0 will remove beacons, flowers, and color cartridges. This change is not a step back but a s??trategic move to ensure a smooth??er gameplay experience.
