Water-shooter gets new release with new extras

Marvelous Entertainment are to re-release their sun-soaked arena-shooter Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash in Japan. The game will be getting an all new edition, complete with new pre-order bonu??ses.

The Sunshine Edition, which is set ??for release in July in the East, will include the original game at a ?discounted price, along with a code to download five exclusive swimsuits for your battalion of jet-wash warriors. The new skins will be available for purchase separately, so no-one misses out on the chance to spend money.

The Sunshine Limited Edition also comes with one of those weird-ass mousepads that has giant 3D boo?bs. We certainly didn't have such things when I was a wee lad. Various outlets in Japan have their own exclusive pre-order bonuses, from posters, to beach towels and tapestries, all adorned? with very rude images of the game's cheesecake cast.

Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash - Sunshine Edition goes on sale in Japan on July 26 for ¥3,900, or $36, for the standard edition, or ?a kinda pricey ¥8,100, or $76, for the Limited Edition.

Tit for tat

Boobs.

Now that I have your attention, I want to tell you what I think about the PC version of Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash, a highly sophisticated simulation representing what happens when you put a group of intricately complex, three-dimensional characters in an arena with water guns to allow them to vent their frustrations on one another. More of a psychological analysis than a video game, PBS, much like the novel Haunted by Chuck P?al?ahniuk is something of a deep character study that dissects the frailty of the human condition.

How much violence can we withstand on a psychological level before the barrier of our humanity is broken down, and we are reduced to the baseline of our car??nal, primal nature? In what universe wo??uld a woman choose a bra or bikini eight times smaller than her bust size and not have it cause her breasts turn into deformed, radish shaped sacks of corn syrup? Why am I playing this game? Why am I even alive at all?

By the end of my experience, none of these questions were answered, obviously, especially the bra bit. But I did learn one thing; Peach Beach Splash is not the Splatoon clone I had assumed it was. In fact, as someone remotely familiar with the Senran Kagura games, it actually doesn’t play much differently from the main series at all. Although personally, I did find it to be less engaging and en??tertaining than previous titles.

Now for the fanservice folks, it probably hasn’t been any better. This game is utterly shameless in what it sets out to do. Wrapped in a melodramatic narrative where ninja girls are magically whisked off to what can only be described as a “mystical” water gun fight, the story is utterly meaningless, that’s fine -- the dumber the better in my opinion, and this is the most notab?ly idiotic narrative I have run across in the series. Perhaps in any series. The narrative segments which break up the gameplay are a tonal rainbow, shifting between dramatic character relationships and endless jokes about titties and fanservice.

Nobody cares, this is what Senran fans have come to expect, and it’s the exact proper way a game like this should be treated; with a healthy dose of snickering and playfulness. This is aft?er all a game with a mechanic that allows you to fill a gun with white l?iquid and spray a girl in the face with it, a sentence I hope is never discovered was written by me when the college I applied at does my background check later this year. It's pure, exploitative, ecchi trash fantasy at it's most profoundly triumphant. If you aren't sickened by it, you will probably find it pretty amusing. Or maybe somewhere in between. 

My only issue with this narrative stuff is just how badly it breaks up each story mission. The loading times were not bad, but there were an excessive number of them for the type of game this is. PBS matches consist of smallish arenas and two teams of five girls shooting one another with water guns until the timer runs out. In the story missions and multiplayer missions, there is a bit of variety thrown in for good measure, but this is the fundamental loop of the game. Matches are generally quite short, so it isn’t exactly break neck in its pacing. I would have liked to have spent more time in the actual game than in dull visual novel segments, or at the very least had them?? be longer but occur less frequently.

That said, when I was in a match, I found it to be pretty fun. It’s clunky, the ranged combat is less interesting than chaining combos together in the other Senran Kagura games, but it works well?? enough. Ammo is limited and shared with your other techniques, such as the ability to use a water jetpack to fly around, but just like in real life, when you jerk off your squirt gun enough, it will fill your reservoirs back up. So a lot of close encounter combat will boil down to properly utilizing cover to get enough time to reload, and execute slow, cumbersome melee attacks to stun your opponents, as well as activate the many ability cards you can unlock and customize your character with, one of the highlights of the game.

Dan Roemer previously reviewed the PlayStation 4 version of the game and we seem to share the same general opinion on it. Check out Dan’s full review for more details -- nothing has changed between the PS4 and PC version as far as I can tell. The PC version, I am happy to say, ran flawlessly for me. Now, my own system is no spring chicken, but the system requirements for PBS are very low. I was able to run it on the highest settings on my GTX 1060, which is good since right now video card prices are as high as ever. I didn’t notice any significant graphical or performance glitches, although I did have an isolated sound glitch occur where all of the games sound effects on the front channel would completely disappear unti??l the match had finished.

PBS is not a game that will push any of your hardware. It seems like it would run comfortably on the PlayStation Vita, apart from the fact that, according to the developer, the Vita has a hard time portraying wet, see through clothing. It truly was a noble decision, but apart from that, PBS is nothing to write home about visually. Character models have barely c?hanged from game to game, animations not related to tits are as stiff as a...watergun, but the game is colorf?ul and plucky, and looks quite nice for what it is.

Online play, much like the console version, is dead as a doornail, and I won’t assume that is going to change tremendously when the game is officially released as that has been a consistent problem with the console version as well. It’s unfortunate as this really is a game designed around multiplayer, but the niche is real. Hopefully PBS on PC can enjoy a more lively online component, but time will tell. I'm sure, at the very leas?t, modders will have a good time further morally corrupting this one, not that the game leaves anything to the imagination in? the first place.

If you are a fan of Senran Kagura series, this entry, while feeling a little simpler in some ways, is a decent alternate take on the franchise. If you are looking for Splatoon on your PC however, as I was originally hoping this would be, keep looking. If you were just holding out for a PC release, I am happy to say Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash runs great? on the platform?. I guess you could say it is “tit for tat” with the PlayStation 4 release.

Water fighter gets more crossover content

Publisher Marvelous have announced that Hyperdimension Neptunia superstar Neptune is coming to the Japanese release of arena-shooter Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash next month.

Nep-Nep is the latest in a selection of characters crossing over from other franchises to join in the wild fun of Senran Kagura's Splatoon-like shooter. Previous guest characters include Valkyrie Drive's Kagurazaka sisters and Dead or Alive's Ayane, Honoka and Marie-Rose.

Neptune will arrive with her own selection of accessories on March 8. So far no official announcement was made as to whether the Hyperdimension Neptunia content will head West, although previous DLC has made the leap over the ocean in the past.

Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash is available now on PS4 and launches on ?PC?? March 7.

XSEED Games, publishers of Summertime fan-service shooter Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash, have released a trailer showcasing a guest character who has joined the mammoth cast of bikini battlers,? and it's none other than Nitroplus mascot Super Sonico.

Sonico is one of a line of guest stars to sign up for the sun-soaked affray, joining Dead or Alive's Marie Rose, Ayana and Honoka, and Valkyrie Drive's Rinka and Ranka Kagurazaka, to partake i?n dubious water-based warfare. Musician Super Sonico brings her hip beats? to the beach, and comes equipped with a megaphone, so she she can bust eardrums as well as heads.

Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash may not be the best game in the Senran Kagura series, but it is one of the better spin-off titles. And like the rest of the series, its guest charac?ter DLC is now available for purchase. 

Honoka, Ayane, and Marie Rose from the Dead or Alive series, Xtreme 3 specifically, totally gel with Senran Kagura's anime style by the looks of it. You can douse them with all sorts of suspicious? liquids for $5.99 each (as each one comes bundled w??ith a doll and flag) or all three for $14.99.

There's also a $25.99 complete option with additional costumes if that's your prerogative.&n?bsp;

One step closer to the dream

In Japan, Marvelous' cheesecake arena-shooter Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash will be receiving an update to allow for V?R compatibility. Mana from heaven for some??, no doubt.

The VR support will work in conjunction with the game's "Locker Room" mode, allowing players to dress their favourite gals in various ge??t-ups, poses and "motions" in immersive Virtual Reality. A "VR Diorama" mode will allow you to create fun scenes featuring the characters.

In related news, DLC is headed to the game in the shape of Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni's Kagura??zaka sisters. Rinka and Ranka (yes, really) will be joining the shooter's already-bulging roster of characters for chaotic water-fight fun.

All of the above is currently only to be made available for the Japanese version of the game, We will update you should a Western announcement be for??thcoming.

All washed up

From the very moment I began at the title screen, this game would echo questions through my mind. I'd question the mental construct of "life or hometown"? The dilemma of who is “best girl” and if love can truly bloom on the wet-breast-infested battlefield on the beach named Peach... As well as if Wet 2 would ever be released.

I still have no idea, I'm sleep deprived, but I do know this: Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash is a new game in the ongoing and popular Senran Kagura series, a game that will also celebrate ??the sixth anniversary of these large-chested shinobi that continue to grow in popularity with each release.

Peach Beach Splash is your not-so-typical team-based third-person shooter. The primary mode is “Single Splash” featuring the main story and meat of the game itself. The story is broken up into five different campaigns, each with their own characters to choose from and all of which roughly take a little over an hour to complete, depending on the difficulty.

There are also “Paradise Episodes&r??dquo; -- smaller, more condensed storylines you can unlock as you progress through the main campaigns. These feature everything from riffing on Pokémon GO to essentially fighting over sushi. And lastly, another mode known as “V-Road challenges,” which can be summarized as a series of small tournaments you can compete in with your own custom loadouts and team of characters.

Each time you win a match in any of these modes, you'll unlock various card packs to open up, allowing you to equip new skills and upgrade weapons and existing skills you have equipped. Admittedly the art-work on the various card packs is incredibly well done, despite be?ing pretty raunchy at times. You'll also earn zeni (the in-game currency), which you can spend in the shop on various items, such as different clothing and accessories, to more card packs to open.

The main plot itself is fairly simply: various teams of shinobi have been called upon to compete in a water-gun tournament (which apparently has existed since ancient times), for a grand prize of anything of their choosing. Each campaign has somewhat of a sub-story between the chara?cters, ranging from not wanting to graduate so they don't get separated from one another??, to trying to solve the mystery behind the competition itself.

The writing for the most part is lighthearted and doesn't take itself very seriously. The dialogue for e??xample is filled with plenty of sexual innuendos and just the right amount of fan service that will make you close your bedroom door and lock it for good measure. On that note of fan service though, as a general and obvious warning, this game is loaded to the brim with fairly explicit content.

As an example of this, a notable menu option is titled “Dressing Room / Shower.” Here you can change the clothes of various characters, view character models, and set up dioramas letting you pose d??ifferent characters. You can also squirt water in various colors at character models; in the Jap?anese release, there was even DLC for a white and yellow option...

...because of course there was.

In terms of presentation, Peach Beach is bright and vibrant with HD visuals and a consistent frame rate, but the texture work in the maps leaves much to be desired. Thankfully the character models and their gravity defying jiggle physics look solid enough. As for the sou??ndtrack side of things, I wouldn't say it's memorable, but it's up-beat enough to set the mood nicely.

As for the gameplay, overall it's your pretty standard affair for a third-person shooter (just now in water-gun form), with a small variety of weapons you'd expect ranging from assault rifles and rocket launchers to some more unique ideas like garden hoses. The matches you'll encounter in the story are fast-paced and vary from either surviving waves o??f enemies, to going against other teams for plot reasons. It's fun and engaging enough to hold your interest for a few hours as you blast bikinis off busty characters, just don't expect your fellow team members to be much of a help.

Which brings up my biggest issue with Peach Beach Splash: the AI is downright horrendous. You'll constantly see friend or foe alike getting stuck behind walls or completely ignoring objectives altogether. It becomes extremely frustrating on the harder difficulties during each of the campaign's boss segments when your entire team gets floored within moments because they're aimlessly running around with no concept of mortality.

The next primary ?mode is the multiplayer, known as “Multi-Splash.” The multiplayer is broken up between three categories: Ranked matches, free matches, and survival co-op. As of writing this review prior to the game's official release, I unfortunately wasn't able to connect with many players (almost none at all). So my experience here was primarily dealing with AI-controlled bots, and as I already mentioned -- the AI in this game is questionably bad.

It also probably explains why modes feature?d exclusively in multiplayer such as “Capture the Bra” and “Queen of the Hill” aren't featured in the single-player and story aspects of the game. The AI bots couldn't seem to grasp the concept of these modes. In capture the bra for example, I'd simply just go around the edge of the map, grab the flag, and go back. All the while my bot-controlled teammates and the bot-??controlled opposing team would just mindlessly kill one another, not paying any attention to the flag or objective whatsoever.

If you weren't a fan of the past Senran Kagura games and considered them far too raunchy, Peach Beach Splash isn't going to change your mind. But for me, it manages to balance fan service with fun and engaging gameplay; albeit not very challenging or complex gameplay, thanks in part to some of the worst AI I've experienced in a long while. If large wet anime chests float your boat, you'll be right at home with Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash.

Just in time for Summer!

Prepare for bikinis, beaches and blazing hot sunshine this Autumn as Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash will be landing on the PS4, in Europe and Austral?ia, September 22.

The arena shooter sees the endless cast of the Senran Kagura series battle it out in ?a host of super-subtle water fights, taking time out to indulge in mini-games that have all the tasteful nuance of a sledgehammer to the nose-bridge.

There are a host of bonuses available for pre-order, for both digital and physical versions, including, costumes, weapons and soundtracks. There's also a "Girls of Paradise" limited edition release, containing all DLC bonuses, alongside a Blu-Ray of the series' introduction sequences and an art book. Jesting aside, it's actually a pretty good set for the die-hard fan.

Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash, will be made available in Europe and Australia, digitally and in stores, September 22nd. The "Girls of Paradise" set can be pre-ordered directly at the Marvelous Games store, for £60.

'Is this that boob water game?'

I've got to be honest with you all here. I may have extensive experience with the Senran Kagura series since I'm addicted to Dynasty Warriors-like hack and slash games, but I've never fully gelled with its, uh, packaging. I've got a preferred pick here and there (I'm not immune to anime), but once I found out Marvelous was steering further into the fan service skid with its boob water shooter Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash I worrie?d I'd never be able to play it without feeling super embarrassed about it. 

After getting some hands-on time with these soaking wet anime girls at E3 while a very, very enthusiastic fan of the series watched on and offered commentary, I figured out that while Peach Beach Splash ?is competent enough to keep me entertained for an afternoon, it offers enough material to keep? that guy going for the rest of his life. 

Taking place during an unseasonably warm winter (hence the bathing suits), the Senran Kagura ninja girls decide to pass the time by sho??oting each other with water guns. The "third-person splasher" offers both a lengthy single-player story (featuring the one v. many gameplay akin to the rest of the series), a multipla??yer arena (with two teams of five going at it), and a tournament-styled mode for single players to mess around with as well. The bulk of my demo time was spent with the multiplayer mode, but as I started playing through the story I heard a voice pop in behind me:

"Can you change their outfits?"

It wasn't a question I had thought to ask, but this blue-haired Goku had a point. The Senran Kagura series does feature an unhealthy amount of outfit customization, and Peach Beach Splash is no different. But then his questions became a little less...wholesome: 

"Can you play without the bathing suits?" 

The XSEED rep and I? glanced at each other as the rep hesitated to answer.

"What...what do you mean?" 

Goku responded, "Is there a way to strip them completely?" 

Almost serendipitously, I activated?? ?a special mechanic, the Kunekune Finish. 

Each match you can choose three attribute boost cards to go into battle with you. In order to recharge them, you can activate the Kunekune Finish. When a girl is knocked down by a particularly rough water bullet or melee attack, you can rush them down with Kunekune, a rubber duck. Then a minigame changes the POV of the attack and thus allows players to sq?ueeze this rubber duck anywhere on the girl they'd like while she moans. Successful wash-downs can result in stripping them of their clothes or having the girls pose in a defeated position while tears fill their eyes. So it's basically par the course for this series. Regardless of how much I squirmed, it certainly got Goku's attention: 

"Oh wow!Wowowowowowwwww. Can you shoot Homura next? I? want to see what she looks like up close!" 

Aside from some mechanics that will certainly p??lease the Gokus more than others, the gameplay itself is much tighter than I expected going in. Thanks to an auto-lock feature, pretty high jumps, and water guns actually feeling different (my favorite was "Hose," haha), movement is well-executed and will most likely be easy for anyone to jump into. ??I'm not particularly great at these types of games, yet I was earning S ranks throughout. For fans of the series, especially this blue-haired Goku, it'll be quite easy to get into this new genre of play without feeling lost. 

With over 30 girls to choose from, ten weapons to master, costumes, and 800 attribute cards to unlock, there's going to be a ton of content for those who wish to dig in. I'm not sure if this shooting gameplay is going to be as much of a single-player draw as the rest of the series' brawler titles, but Peach Beach Splash seems to offer other, uh, incentives that you won't find in the other games?. 

As for the blue-haired Goku, it turned out he had a YouTube channel. When it was his turn to play the game, he asked the person behind him to record him playing the demo. This s??adly left more an impression on me than anything else I had seen during the busy E3 week:

"Hey everyone, it's me [insert anime name here], and I'm going to soak these girls. Let's strip!"

Hey Europe, if your hand hurts after slamming it against hard objects out of frustration that Portugal won Eurovision with one of the most forgetful songs there, then you can rest it on Yumi's breast as you look up Moldova and Sweden's entries on YouTube. No, you don't have to import from Japan, because it's coming in Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash's Girls of Paradise Edition DX for &poun??d;169.99 / €199.99.

The mouse-pad is 45 cm x 46.5 cm x 8 cm and weighs 2 kg. Also included is an original soundtrack CD, art book, "Blu-ray compilation of opening animations from previous Senran Kagura games," and the f??ollowing in-game DLC:

• Soaking Wet Uniform costume
• Futomaki Roll Bazooka special weapon
• Set of colorful bikini costumes
• Special set of skill cards

Standard release only available via download

Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash, the upcoming summer-themed shooter Senran Kagura spinoff, will be jiggling onto PS4s this s??ummer.

While no finalized date has been confirmed yet, XSEED has also announced that only physical copies of the game will be part of a limited edition which they have appropriately titled "No Shirt, No Shoes, All Service Edition." The impressive limited edition, meant to celebrate the series' five-year anniversary, will come w??ith the following goodies:

• A Blu-ray disc containing a compilation of opening animations from previous Senran Kagura games
• An art book of the girls' summer adventures
• The game's soundtrack on CD
• A DLC key that will grant the Soaking Wet High School Uniform costume, a set of colorful bikini costumes, the Futomaki Roll Bazooka special weapon, a Bebeby pet card, and a special set of skill cards

The limited edition will be retailing at $69.99, however XSEED has not announced a price for the standard digital release at this time. It's also important to note that this means the DLC characters, which include Marie Rose and Honoka from Dead or Alive, will likely have to be purchased separately. While there isn't a trailer for international audiences yet, feel f?ree to take a look at t?his trailer from Japan to get a refresher about the important assets.

Summer down-under?

Update: XSEED and Marvelous Europe have confirmed to me that the Australian ver??sion will indeed?? launch in the same time-frame as the European summer release. I was just being silly after all.

Summer is the season for beaches, peaches, and water gun fights. What better time for Marvelous Entertainment to finally deliver Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash to the west? Well OK ??Australia is not considered west but we all count them with America and Europe anyway.

And oh yeah, when it's summer in the U.S. and Europe, it'll be winter down in $6-coke lan??d. So, when they say the game release "this Summer within Europe and Australia (and U.S.)," are they suggesting it'll come out around June-August in the U.S, and Europe and then November-February for Australia?

Probably not. It's more likely the Australian version will launch around the same time as its northern hemisphere buddies. Then again, I've seen weirder things happen, like the final boss of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

More alive than dead

By this point I shouldn't be surprised. The latest Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash trailer for the Dead or Alive DLC shows Marie, Honoka, and Ayane in sugg?estive positions?? getting squirted. There's some shooting gameplay as well.

If you're the kind of guy that covers his eyes during segments like the JAV videos in Yakuza, this game is clearly not for you. On the other end of the spectrum, this kind of sexualization is so over the top it becomes camp. Although I'd wager the developers' intent is to arouse players, the only bone this tickles? is my funny bone.

Super Smash Sisters

Ayane joins Marie Rose and Honoka from Dead or Alive in the water-gun third-person shooter Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash via DLC. Super Sonico was also just announced in a stream.

Images on the three Dead or Alive characters are now available along with character details such as their blood-type, favorite food, measurements, and hobbies. Each will sell for 700 yen ($6) individually, and the set of all three will be 1800 yen ($16). Additional outfits range from 150 yen ($1.30) to 350 yen ($3). A package of all the Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 content is bundled for 3000 yen ($26).

For as long as I live here I'll n??ever quite understand this ??kind of detailed focus on character personalities. Are there people who decide whether or not to buy a game based on the existence of a character with the same blood-type? I get the cultural aspects of affinity and whatnot, but with fictional game characters?

What will they be in next?

Dead or Alive's Marie Rose and Honoka are just not satisfied with being in their own game. Originally DLC fighters in Dead or Alive 5, they were titular characters in Dead or Alive Xtreme 3. They have since continued to amass popularity and thus have began invading other games, starting with Musou Stars. This time they will be playable in Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash via DLC.

They will be available on March 30, 2017 in Japan, where the main game releases March 16. Peach Beach Splash is coming west, even if we don't have an official release date yet (patiently waiting). In the meantime we have ?a video of the first 35 minutes to tide us ov??er.

If m?y interest was only lukewarm before, it's been heated a little?. Anything with Marie Rose has my attention.

I'm gonna move to this hometown

I've tried my best (and failed) to keep clear of the Senran Kagura series, but it's always been a secret shame of mine. Although it won't play like other games in the series, Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash features the same , uh, "quality" of design? for its charac?ters. 

That also extends to its DLC additions, characters featuring forms unlocked through hidden ultimate ninpos, Ice King Yumi, Abyss Miyabi, Deep Shadow Asuka, and my personal favorite, Crimson Lotus Homura. They'll be available for purchase alongside the Mar??ch 16th Japanese release. 

There's a Western release planned at a later date, so I hope it includes Homura...I mean, all of the DLC characters.

Marvelous' Senran Kagura has always been a shameful pleasure of mine, and that shame comes to a head with the latest release Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash. This multiplayer water gun shooter may seem like Splatoon with waifus, but this Japanese trailer for the game shows us what Peach Beach Splash has to offer beyond waifu physics. 

Various weapon types, stat boosts, and then, uh, a very distressing minigame where you poke a girl until she cries. There'??s also quite a bit of, uh, interactivity that I'm sure some of us will get quite a bit out of. Honestly, no one gives the fans what they want like Marvelous. I even have a favorite girl here.

I mean, if that's something you wanted...

You've got to hand it to Marvelous. It knows its audience. The studio's latest effort, Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash, is a dramatic departure from its current fare (but with even more busty ladies) and now we finally have some details as to how it will play ??thanks to Gematsu. 

Along with shooting enemies with water guns (which range from pistols, to dual-wielded pistols, sniper rifles, and something called a "shower gun"), players can "finish off" the girls by soaking their boobs and butts with the "Kunekune Finish" mechanic. This'll cause the girls to take various poses and certainly be something you'll want to watch alone in your room at two in the morning. Players will also have access to brief hand-to-hand combat (but nothing as advanced as the base Senran Kagura games) as well as a customizable card system.

Replacing the ninja arts from previous titles, players can equip up to six cards which include various skill and weapon buffs, as well as summoning little companion buddies to help in battle. It seems the card system will be the deepest mechanic Peach Beach Splash will have to offer, but if tha?t's not your thing at least they all ha?ve cute images to gawk at.

OH, speaking of gawking, Marvelous also (helpfully?) uploa??ded a portrait of each of the girls?? in the cast along with some profile data with things like bust sizes, hobbies, blood types, voice actresses, and personalities. Vanquish meets Splatoon. Splanquish.

Think of the perfect steak, one from your favorite restaurant, perhaps momma's homecookin' or even your own hand-crafted meaty heaven. Then think how succulent that juicy, warm, medium-well steak meticulously crafted just the way you like it tastes. Would you still eat it if it came in the shape of a bikini-clad anime girl on a pink plate while J-pop plays overhead? If the answer is yes, then you might find that there appears to be decent gameplay hidden under Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash's kawaii exterior. And oh yeah ne??ver mind that rubber duck spraying water on a? girl's butt.

The debut trailer for Peach Beach Splash shows some of its third-person water gun shooting gameplay, where the goal is to, naturally, get the opposing team all wet. Senran Kagura and Japanese game fans will need little conv??incing, so I'm speaking t?o those who don't know what this is or are morbidly curious just how anime anime has become when I say try to stomach the first 20 seconds or so and just let go of preconceived notions.

Is it dumb? Of course it is. Are there some dudes already jacking it to this video? Absolutely. Nevertheless, the Vanquish-style sliding and non-standard get-'em-all-wet obje??ctives should int??erest shooter fans at least on some level.

Let the next comment war commence

As if this series wasn't lewd enough, Marvelous Entertainment has seemingly decided to jump on that beach bikini bandwagon with its announcement of Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash for PlayStation 4. This is fulfilling the promise it made back in December with its "unchanging love for boobs and games." 

The name is taken from the water gun tournament featured in the game, Peach Beach Splash. There is no concept of good and evil shinobi this time, just good ole sexy fun times for all to enjoy regardless of Senran Kagura politics. 10 guns features will include dual pistols, gatling guns, and sniper rifles. I really want to see own a water gatling gun.

Th?ere are over 30 characters, I assume all female, to chose from for story or 5 on 5 online multiplayer. So now you can get wet with nin??e of your friends!

In an interview, producer Kenichiro Takaki said the game will be part of the main series and another Senran Kagura title will come from this, though they will still make action games. They have plans to release DLC characters, costumes and stories, and they are ??also considering adding PlayStation VR support.

Most interesting is this quote via translation: "They are considering the extent that players can intervene when it comes to costume destruction. The amount of cost?umes worth getting wet have increased. There’s also a considerable volume of swimsuits." Sounds like another (lewd) game I know...

The “Super Limited Nyuu Nyuu 5??th Anniversary DX Pack” includes a "Life-sized Nyuu Nyuu mouse pad of Yumi." I can only assume that is one of those mouse-pads with the girls chest as the soft-hand rest--wait, life sized!?

There are no trailers, but I imagine it'll be something like this (NSFW).
