There's no shame in defeat, as Promised Consort Radahn is one of the toughest challenges in the history of Souls games. Now, though, it might be a bit ea?sier to take the champio??n down.

The patch note??s have an entire chunk of text dedicated to the changes made to Radahn. In short, he's not immediately punishing?? as soon as you lay foot into the arena, and some of his attacks have been adjusted to be less punishing as well.

General damage, Damage to stamina, and range of some of his magic attacks have all been lo??wered. The visibility of some of his trickier attack effects have been raised. Still, the notes don't mention any nerf to Radahn's health, so expect him to remain as tough as ??a boulder and thus still capable of killing anyone whose endurance falters or who underestimates his new state.

Brighter souls

While this is still not the "easy mode" that some might have asked for, it's a very wise idea from FromSoft. This nerf won't make the game's final challenge too easy for hardcore aficionados, and it'll certainly make it more enjoyable for those who can't ??spend dozens of hours just ?so they can get good enough to defeat the final boss.

And, if you're one of the many who got to beat Prime Radahn in his, well, prime, then you now get to be the gaming boomers who scoff at newer players for having it too easy these days. I'm not kidding. Redditors are already joking about printing "I beat Radahn pre nerf" t-shirts, so take this win with as much or as little?? grace as?? you'd like.

Ever since Elden Ring's Shadow Of The Erdtree update, some players attempting to go on modded co-op adventures have encountered an error message claiming that an undisclosed inappropriate activity was found within the game files. The error kicks players back to the start screen and prevents them from re-entering Elden Ring in online mode.

This is the result of anti-cheat software that can?? also affect players who are using regular co-op mods, but it's not meant to mess with players who are joining or being joined by others as the game had intended.

FromSoftware was quick to identify the problem, but has ?yet to announce an official fix in a??ny of the DLC's patch notes.

Luckily, the d?eveloper was quick to share how players could go about to fix the issue themselves. The process is simple, one that many already know as the go-to to fix many of the issues affecting games on Steam.

If you don't have any mods that the game could flag for this effect, all you have to do is select Elden Ring in your Steam Library, right click on it, then select Properties. A new window will pop up; select the Installed Files tab. Next, click Verify the Integrity of game files and wait for the process to finish. Everything ??should be back to normal once you try to play?? again.

Inappropriate Activity detected on Steam Deck

The official fix doesn't work on the Steam Deck, and many have complained that they can only play the game in offline mode. Reddit user u/Honeydew-Main was able to come up with a fix that seemingly works for everyone who tried it:

• Enter Desktop mode on your Steam Deck
• Open File Explorer
• Open the Menu (three horizontal lines button) on the top right; choose Show Hidden Files
• Go to "Home/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/ELDEN RING/game"
• Open the menu again and create a new file
• Name the file DLC.bdt (Access the Steam Deck's on-screen keyboard by pressing the "Steam" button and the "X" button at the same time)
• Copy the DLC.bdt file, and paste it inside the sd file inside Elden Ring's game folder
• You can now start the game in online mode

Though this is an anti-cheat function meant to catch players using i?llegal mods to obliterate anyone unlucky enough to encounter them online, no one has complained about receiving a ban after seeing this error message. The fix is simple, so the biggest problem here is the getting frightened at the notion that the game has (incorrectly) d??????????????????????????eemed you guilty of some shady practices.

The Lands Between and the Land of Shadow from Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree are filled with treachery, but none of it is me?ant to cause permadeath. That horrible fate can only be brought about by corrupted save files that won't let players resume their playthroughs �but it's usually fixable.

One of the staples of Souls games is ditching a save game option in favor of a system that automatically records all manner of progression. It works great for the most part, but there's a good reason?? why it recommends you close it properly via the menu. Any issue that causes your game to crash or PC to reset midgame can cause the save file to become corrupted as the game didn't save and close properly. At some point, even hackers could ruin your saves:

Nowadays, if any issue causes your save file to no longer be recognized by the game, you'll come across o???ne of the following messages:

I first came across the problem for the first time a few years back while playing Sekiro after a thunderstorm caused the lights to go out. It immediately made me think I'd lost over ten hours of?? progress. Luckily, I was mistaken, but the process was much more complex and way less automated back then. The modern save fixing process might look a bit daunting at first, but it's actually pretty simple and effective if you follow all the steps correctly.

How to fix saves on Elden Ring

It's always a good idea to try Steam's automatic file repair. You do that by clicking on Elden Ring on your Steam Library, hit Properties, pick Local files, and then hit Verify Integrity of game files. Once the process is complete, restart Steam, re-open Elden Ring, and see if this has fixed your problem. If it has, then you're set. In the more likely case that it hasn't, we have to do p??erform manual save file maintenance.

First off, we'll need to locate your save files. The saves are in C:\Users\(your name)\AppData\Roaming\EldenRing. You'll find them inside the numbered folder.

• Cut the .SL2 file and set it aside in a new separate folder.
• Rename the .back file just by deleting the ".bak" part of the name. This will cause the existing backup to become the de-facto save file.
• Turn off Steam Cloud saves. You do it by selecting Elden Ring in your Steam Library, going to properties, then in the General Tab you will set keeping game saves in the steam cloud to OFF.

Merely deleting or replacing the corrupted save file with the backup will do nothing if Steam Cloud is on because the game will immediately re-download the corrupted file and overwrite the functioning save wit?h the bad data. I advise you have Steam Cloud off no matter what, as? it's already a likely cause for this type of issue.

• See if this solves the problem. If it does, then delete the old .sl2 file you've set aside and enjoy the game.
• If not, then add .bak to the end of the new file, and bring the old .sl2 file back to the folder.

Since the problem persists, we'll have to tinker with the save files themselves. Download ER Save Repair utility here.

• Make sure you already have the original .sl2 save file set aside. Back it up if you don't.
• Launch the Save Repair program (ERSR)
• Enter your Steam ID (It's the big number on the folder containing the saves)
• Select the file you wish to repair.
• Select the number of save slots, in case it has more than one.
• Press Run. Don't use your mouse or keyboard during the process, as the creator of this app warns that it will interrupt the process.

This process doesn't have a 100% success rate, but it remains the best, simplest, and safest way to remove the corruption from your Elden Ring save files.

Continue following the path up past the lava and up the rubble, and you’ll end up on a large metal platform. Down below, on the right side, drop? down to the bridge. Across it, pull the lever and you’ll be lowered down again. In the archway to the right, there is another lever for you to pull. This will let you raise up to t?he second floor on the right, where the altar is.

As mentioned, all you need ??to do is interact with the altar to receive the Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword.

The Anci?ent Meteoric Ore Greatsword is a Colossal Sword that scales with Strength, Dexterity, and Arcane. Arcane specifically will increase the phys??ical and magic damage of this sword, so if you’re an Arcane focus, this is a great choice.

This weapon’s skill is White Light Charge, which lets you create a charging attack with white light that works great for piercing enemies. You'll get plenty of thrusting damage like you would with a Heavy Thrusting Sword such as the Sword Lance.

Get ready for a new era of Elden Ring. Well, at the v?ery least, the latest patch was sent out earlier today. Version 1.13.2 of the game promises a number of issues being fixed, with developer FromSoftware thanking fans for their "support and passion."

A post on X refers to the latest hotfix as a "calibration" update, which has started rolling out for the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, which was released back in June. Despite the fact that the base game is largely considered one of the greatest role-playing releases in modern times, the expansion is sitting on a recent review score of "mixed" on Steam. Go figure.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Patch 1.13 has arrived with some pretty lengthy notes, detailing an embarrassment of buffs. Skills, summons, spells, and more are getting a boost of power. But most importantly, the prompt for re-summoning Torrent after he dies has be??en fixed.

I can't undersell how happy a small UI tweak has made me. For those who have watched their valiant s?pectral steed fall to the swipe of an enemy, bringing him back can be frustrating. I'm not referring to needing to burn a Flask of Crimson Tears to get him back. No. I mean the prompt asking you if you want to use a Flas?k with an "OK" or "CANCEL" option, with cancel highlighted by default.

If you're not surrounded by enemies at the time, the UI quirk may merely be a short-term nuisance. But if you're fighting against a boss, the time it takes to move the cursor can leave you eating a halberd for lunch. In Shadow of the Erdtree, there is a major fight in which you can ride Torrent. I won't spoil it, but let's say the enemy really went hog wild on me. Having this change would have been great last w??eek.

Shadow of the Erdtree patch buffs just about everything

Oh, right, there's the rest of the patch, which brings a buffet of buffs to the table. There are some PvP-focused changes for Skills and equipment, for ??those who like to fight their fellow Tarnished.

But beyond these changes, dozens upon dozens of Armaments, Skills, Spells, Incantations, and Spirit Ashes have been t??weaked. Armaments such as the Euporia have been buffed, with the weapon in question receiving increased Holy damage and more. Many skills and spells have ??been changed to make them stronger, such as the Lightspeed Dash and Blades of Stone.

Impenetrable Thorns has taken a hit, however. The popular spell received a decrease in damage and the Hemorrhage bui??ldup in the patch.

Nearly all Spirit Ashes have been buffed with more stagger resistance. Hell, you may as well call this the "Will no longer stagger as easily" patch, because, well, Ashes now won't stagger as easily. Some have also gotten an HP increase, such as the Inquisitor. Fire Knight Queelign didn't get the stagger buff, but does ??come?? away with more Vigor and Faith.

Streamer Miss Mikkaa has beaten Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree using a controller. Then, a dance pad. Now, she's conquered the final boss while ??running two versions of the gam??e on each controller, simultaneously.

She managed to do something sim??ilar with the base game soon after launch, and after a 4-day battle with the final boss?, she repeated it with the DLC.

Miss Mikkaa say??s it took her a total of four days of non-stop attempts at defeating the final DLC boss. Her in-game time on this f??inal boss alone was 14 hours, which is understandable considering she was splitting her attention across two versions of the game and constantly moving to control her character using a dance pad in one of them. The boss took 239 attempts, but the streamer has now bested it in what has to be the most difficult challenge run anyone has ever created for a FromSoftware title.

Dancing through the Shadowlands

The death count for Miss Mikkaa's entire controller plus dance pad runs of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree was 685 on both games, so a t?otal of 1,370. 35% of these were from the final boss fights, 55 were humiliating deaths to gravity, and the streamer's maximum heart rate throughout the entire experience was 166 BPM.

She outlined her final builds from the run if you're interested in replicating t?hem to help you beat the boss yourself, once or twice. "Level 194 with 60 vigor, 54 endurance & strength, 40 f??aith, and 33 mind. I was using a Giant Crusher with Prayerful Strike. Talismans were: Crimson Seed Talisman +1, Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, Shard of Alexander, and Golden Braid. I was using Holy Shrouded Cracked Tear and Opaline Hardtear in my flask."

Shadow of the Erdtree differs greatly from not only Elden Ring but also every other FromSoftware game's DLC in the way it shifts game mechanics. It requires you to effectively start again when it comes to levels, with enem?ies scaling to your character, and the only way to level up is by collecting a specific type of item in the DLC's open ?world.

It's impressive to me that players can finish Shadow of the Erdtree at all. It certainly looks like the ultimate Soulsborne challenge, but Miss Mikka has taken things up a notch. While we've seen streamers play the game using their minds and even motion capture technology ?to allow you to swing a real sword around, I don't think much is going to top this particular run for a long time.

Elden Ring :Shadow Of The Erdtree offers some of the biggest challenges in contemporary gaming for most players, but apparently not for Ainrun. The Twitch streamer spent more time buffing himself up than battling Shadow of the Erdtree's final?? boss, and was able to undo the DLC's greatest challenge in one supermassive blo?w.

The final boss of Shadow Of The Erdtree i?s what the Internet has dubbed "Prime Radahn." He's stronger than his base game form; much, much, more resilient, and he e?ven enlists the help of a god whose AOE turns the battle into a serious bullet hell challenge. Ainrun's solution? Just stacking up on the most devastating buffs in the game to get the job done as quickly as possible.

You even see the custcene where Radahn summons Miquella for help, but by the tim??e the cutscene ends, Radahn's in-game model is already halfway into his death animation. I hope this provides ??all the poor players who had been immediately destroyed by Radahn upon setting foot in the arena as much vicarious vindication as it provided me.

Ainrun had previously made the rounds for crushing Midra in much the same way, though Midra is a far less intimidating foe. Ainrun is such a beast that he was li?kely just using ??the Lord of the Frenzied Flame himself as a mere guinea pig for his magnum opus.

An?d before anyone gets the idea that? I'm talking about a one (shot) trick pony, let it be known that Ainrun once locked himself up in the same room with five Malenias, and was the only person to come out alive.

Are you tired of invisible walls in games? The kind of walls that you don't see, but that are there just to prevent you from venturing into areas that the developers don't want you to reach? Well, then let me introduce you to their evil-er brother: Elden Ring's visible non-wall. It's a wall that see?ms to be there, but is only just a b?unch of hollow textures that might lead you to your death.

Hardcore fans of the series will probably be delighted to learn that Elden Ring's Shadow Of The Erdtree DLC features even m?ore ways to die, but regular players might not be as enthused by the idea.

As warned by Redditor u/Kedalene, the Scorpion River Catacombs introduced in Shadow Of The Erdtree feature a hilariously terrifying threat. It's not a devious trap that will lure in even the wisest of players, but a bug that causes a specific wall to feature no collision. This is not an illusory wall meant to hide a shortcut or great treasure, but a part of the map that, once crossed, will have ??players dropping?? out of bounds to their deaths. It's so accidentally devious that it causes you to die outside of the Stake of Marika's range, forcing players to go back to the entrance of the catacombs.

Kedelane made the video above to warn players of the existence of th??e glitch, but also to show off all the fun they have had with making poor unassuming players die to it. I advise everyone to watch the compilation because it's pretty funny, but also because otherwise you might be next.

I'm writing this to warn players about this ghastly trap, but please know that I do so while extremely worried that Miyazaki will look into this and de??cide to come up with a dungeon that's all ghost walls.

??This glitch might get fixed soon, but you can still die to it right now, or have people fall for it. Beware of strange etchings in fro??nt of walls, I guess.

Rabbath's Cannon is found in a tower on the eastern section of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Getting there takes some time if you haven't reached it yet. You'll need to go ?spelunking in caves and cross?? massive bridges to find it.

Rabbath's Cannon is found in Rabbath's Rise, a tower that should be all too familiar for fans of the base game. Finding it requires you to first make your way to Bonny Village and beyond. In brief, you need to find a cave le??ading to Bonny Village via a hole near a church by the 'Moorth Ruins' Site of Grace.

After crossing two bridges, make your way through the woods. They're full of wolves, but Torrent is quicker. Keep making your way north and past the wandering Furnace Golem.

Eventually, you'l??l see Rabbath's Rise off in the distance.

Does it look familiar? It should be for veteran Elden Ring players who cleared Caria Mano?r. Ranni and her weird-ass cohorts live near the manor in towers similar to these. Ranni's Rise is a common stomping ??ground for many Tarnished, and Rabbath's Rise sure has some similar vibes.

Rabbath's Cannon hides in Rabbath's Rise, but finding it takes an old-fashioned trick. Go inside the tower and climb up the stairs. Don't bother with t??rying to take the elevator up �it won't work.

Instead, return to the room before the elevator. Strike or roll against the wall with the two stone arches to reveal an illusory wall. Destroy the stone just past it to activate a nearby?? Spiritspring.

Go back outs?ide and hop on Torrent. Take the newly activa??ted Spiritspring to the staircase near the top of the tower.

Head up the sta?irs and open the chest to find Rabbath's Cannon.

Rabbath's Cannon specs

Rabbath's Cannon is a Ballista-type weapon capable of firing greatbol?ts. It requires attributes in both Strength and Dexterity, making it a good weapon for those who play mostly Str?ength builds.

The cannon is powerful, capable of dishing out nearly 1,000 d?amage for my Strength-build warrior.

The lunges, stabs, and thrusts of the weapon are much slower than the lighter variant of the swords, and there aren't many unique weapons that stand out in the class. But before you judge a book by its cover, I implore you to give this weapon a chance, as its Ash of War is one of the most satisfying animations added with the DLC. How to get the Sword Lance in Elden Ring

The Sword Lance is a Remembrance weapon in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. To ?obtain this weapon, you'll need to defeat one of the tougher bosses of the DLC: Commander Gaius.

Getting to Gaius isn't too difficult, as you simply need to reach the Shadow Keep, Back Gate Site of Grace. Ent??ering the Church District Entrance on the eastern side of the Shadow Keep will set you on a relatively linear (albeit lengthy) path to the Back Gate.

Defeating Commander Gaius is easier said than done. He's tough and his attacks are relentless, which makes finding openings a challenge. Since he's an optional boss, many players choose to avoid him. But you'll need to slay him to get your hands on the Remembrance of the Wild Boar Rider, which c?an be traded to Enia for the Sword? Lance.

How to use the Sword Lance in Elden Ring

The Sword Lance is a Heavy Thrusting Sword that is pre-equipped with the Spinning Gravity Thrust skill. This skill causes the player to levitate for a moment (can be used to dodge ground-based attacks) before ??charging forward like a corks??crew or drill. The animation is beautiful and landing the attack, whether against bosses or non-boss enemies, feels extremely satisfying. For an extra FP cost, a follow-up attack can be activated to perform a second similar charge in quick succession.

For Strength builds, bigger usually is always better. And there are few hammers bigger than Devonia's Hammer in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. I'll show you ho??w to find the weapon, but you should prepare for a scrap when you arrive.

Devonia's Hammer is wielded by the Crucible Knight Devonia in the Ancient Ruins of Rauh, and they're not giving it up without a fight.

Devonia's Hammer location in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

To find Devonia's Hammer, you'll first need to clear the Shadow Keep and head west past the Viaduct to the Ancient Ruins of Rauh. Starting at the 'Viaduct Mino??r Tower' Site of Grace, head right on Torrent and down into the ancient structure.

Keep descending, making your way past two large, ornate doors. You'll know you're heading in the right direc?tion when you enter a room with Serpent Snails hanging about.

Look for a Spiritspring nearby and use it to descend further. Once you land, you'll have two dir??ections you can go. One direction leads you down a tunnel, while another takes you left past the image of a cloaked person carved into a stone wall. Take the path left from the carving.

The path leads you down a flooded passageway.

Keep moving until you reach an open area. Th??ere, standing guard nearby, is the Crucible Knight Devonia deep in thought.

Devonia ?will aggro on you as you approach. You can take this fight on Torrent, so use your speed to your advantage with hit-and-run strike?s.

Devonia attacks slowly, so you should be able to take them down without receiving too much damage. But watch out for Devonia's speci??al attack. When you see them twirling the Hammer above their head, run away to avoid the area attack.

When Devo??nia is defeated, they drop Devonia's H?ammer and the Crucible Hammer-Helm.

Devonia's Hammer is a Colossal Great Hammer that scales with Strength, Dexterity, and Faith. It leans more toward S??trength, naturally, as it is a massive piece of metal attached to a stick.

Its Ashes of War ability is Devonia's Vortex. Activating it causes you to twirl the hammer above your head before smashing it down in front o??f you, causing a golden explosion. Charging the at?tack makes the strike more powerful.

For magic and skill users, the Cerulean Amber Medallion +3 is an ideal item to find in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Unfortunately, getting it ??isn't as simple as locating some hidden chest out in the world.

The Cerulean Amber Medallion +3 can be found in the Scorpion River Catacombs on the northwest section of the map. Getting it, however, is going to take some effort. The medallion is an award for cle??aring the boss of the catacombs, and they don't plan on giving up easily.

To track down the Scorpion River Catacombs, you'll want to begin your journey at the 'Temple Town Ruins' Site of Grace. It's near the Rauh Ruins map location, so if you need assistance on how to find it, check out our guide here.

This is the path we'll follow on the map:

From the Temple Town Ruins, head north up the river until you find the nearby Site of Grace. Oh, and watch out for the scorpions. Believe it or not, there are a few of those on the S?corpion River. You'll also find many red-colored Kindred of Rot in the ??area. Try and avoid them if you're not up to dying the second they notice you.

Once you reach the end of the river, you'll find the door to the catacombs with a man's spirit sobbing nearby. He begs you not to look at his face. Look at his face before opening the door and entering the catacombs. Looking does nothing, but how can you avoid it?

The Scorpion River Catacombs, much like other catacombs, is long ?and winding and travels deep underground. You'll need to take elevators down while avoiding enemies and ceiling traps. There are also statues of Basilisks casting Death Blight, but you can find Rejuvenating Boluses in the catacombs to cure it.

Keep descending until you at last reach the boss room. You will come face to face with the Death Knig?ht, who uses lightning and a Longhaft Axe in combat. They're a tough opponent, but many of their moves can be dodged with correct timing.

The one move you'll need to watch out for is broadcast by the Death Knight's cape forming into wings with white fire eng?ulfing its right hand. After the windup, the knight will shoot forward and grab you for a devastating ?grab attack that regenerates its health. To beat it, create some distance and dodge left or right at the last moment.

When it's defeated, the Death Knight drops:

The Cerulean Amber Medallion +3 is a powerful artifact tha?t boosts your maximum FP gauge more than its predecessors. It's a powerful tool for those who require a lot of FP for the?ir build.

If you're struggling against magic and elemental damage, you may want to find the Pearldrake Talisman +3 in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. It prote??cts against everything but physical damage, and it's the best of its Pe?arldrake siblings to do so.

The Talisman, exclusive to Shadow of the Erdtree, can be found in the Shadow Keep. It's kept away in the Specimen Storeroom, which isn't available until after you beat the first boss of the area. Luckily, getting to the Storeroom afterward is rather straightforward. You'll need to dodge some Fire Knights and Shadow Militiamen to get there, but at least... no, wai??t. There are Fire Knights and Militiamen in the Storeroom as well. ?Sorry. The struggle will be worth it.

Pearldrake Talisman +3 location in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

To find the Pearldrake Talisman +3, you'll have to start at the 'Storehouse, First Floor' Site of Grace at the Shadow Keep. Once ?you arrive, go around the massive centerpiece on the left side.

Watch for Militiamen ambushes as you continue to a staircase you need to climb. T?ake a sharp left after the staircase and walk down the corridor. Stop when the second shelf to your right ends and then head up the stairs to your right.

Ignore the Fire Knight on the floor and g??o up the next? set of stairs.

You'll have to fight the Fire Knight you see standing near the edge. Make sure your fight is a flashy one??!

From where the Fire Knight was standing, look right and squ??eeze between the two shel??ves.

The Pearldrake T?alisman +3 is held by the gi?ant, hornsent statue/corpse.

What does the Talisman do?

The Pearldrake Talisman +3 lowers all non-physical damage whi??le being worn. As per the description:

"Talisman with a large depiction of a ?pearlescent ancient dragon. Boosts non-physical damage negation by the? utmost."

Non-physical damage co?nsists of magi??c, holy, lightning, fire, and any other damage not caused by something metal, stone, or wood.

The Shadow of the Erdtree DLC for Elden Ring has plenty of new content for players to jump in?to. With new bosses, new weapons, and a new story, there is tons to see, and that includes some new painting puzzles too.

These paintings offer a special rewa??rd if you can not only find the painting itself, but the location where the painting was inspired. The Incursion painting is one of them, that will gift you wi??th a great piece of gear if you can solve this puzzle. Don’t worry, we’re here to show you how.

Where is the Incursion Painting in Elden Ring?

You can find the Incursion painting in the appropriately named artist’s shack that’s on the cliff a little north of the Church of Benediction. To get there easiest,? you’ll want to go to the Cliffro?ad Terminus Site of Grace, and head southeast from there. 

Follow the forest so??utheast and jump up a set of rocks, which will lead you straight to the artist’s shack that contains the painting.&??nbsp;

Take note that you have to interact with the painting itself before you can solve the painting puzzle, so don’t forget this step. This is true of all the paintings, including The Domain of Dragons and The Sacred Tower.

How to complete the Incursion Painting puzzle

Now that you’ve found the painting itself, you will need to go to a small hill near the Belurat Gaol dungeon that contains an archway. This is the area that inspired the artist for the painting, where you can?? find and interact with their ghost.

You can use the Greatbridge North Site of Grace to get there quickly. Head due west of the Site of Grace on the south side of the lake to a small hill. It’s right on the outskirt??s of the Tower Settlement, between the two bodies of water.

Once you’ve made it here, and so long as you’ve interacted with the paint??ing itself, the artist’s ghost will appear for you to pick up the reward they’ve dropped for you.

Incursion Painting puzzle reward in Elden Ring

For your hard work, the ghost will drop the Serpent Crest Shield for you to take. This is a Medium shield that has a good balance between weight and defense. The Serpent Crest does scale best with Strength, and while it doesn’t give you the best agility, it’s got good defense. If you’re looking for a Medium shield, this is a great one to take.

With the new DLC Shadow of the Erdtree out, Elden Ring fans have plenty of new weapons to wield, new bosses to fight, and new puzzles to so?lve. One of these additions is the n?ew paintings that can reward you handsomely if you can find the inspiration behind them.

There are tons of paintings scattered across the Realm of Shadows for you to find, and one of them is the Domain of Dragons. If you’re able t??o locate this painting and find where it was painted at, you’ll get some sweet loot. Luckily, we’re here to show you how to do it.

Where to find the Domain of Dragons Painting in Elden Ring

The Domain of Dragons painting itself is located in the Shadow Keep. You can get to it easiest by going to the Main Gate Plaza Site of Grace and then headi??ng to the very top of the castle. You will find some Vulgur Militia here, as? well as boats that are burning on the bridge.

On the bridge with the burning boats, go to the east side and you’ll find a? ladder. Climb down the ladder to reach the main plaza of the Shadow Keep. Then, go through the waterfall in the main plaza and climb down the next ladder. This will lead you to a small room with the Domain of Dragon’s painting.

Note that you will need to beat the Golden Hippopotamus boss before you can find the Domain of Dragons painting. If you haven’t, don’t worry a??bout finding it yet. Iâ€??™ve found that once you’ve beaten this boss, you can head straight for it to get to the painting the fastest.

How to complete the Domain of Dragons Painting puzzle

Now, you’ll need to go to the location where the painting was made, which is near the Jagged Peak Mountainside Site of Grace. Fast tr?avel to the Site of Grace, and head immediately to the left up the jagged terrain to find a Spiritspring Jump and use it to jump up the cliff. 

Keep heading west and ever slightly to the north to find an area where the s??torm clears up, and you’ll find the ghost of the painter. He’ll sit in his chair and paint, then disappear and drop an item. Pick up the item to solve the Domain of Dragons painting puzzle. You can find the exact location on the map below.

For your hard work, you’ll be rewarded with the Rock Heart, a new consumable included with Shadow of the Erdtree. It allows you to tu??rn into an Ancient Dragon. It will also boost your Dragon Communion incantations by 20% for 60 seconds.

Mysterious keys to mysterious doors are not uncommon in FromSoftware games. In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, you may stumble on the Prayer Room Key with no Prayer Room in sight. Read on to find out where ?to discover said room and claim the rewa??rd within.

Where to find the Prayer Room Key

The Prayer Room Key can be obtained by defeating the Fire Knight Queelign in the Church of the Crusade. You can reach the?? church after completing Castle Ensis and unlocking the Scadu Atlas region. Go northwest from the 'Highroad Cross' Site of Grace to find the church on a hill.

Queelign is an NPC invader, so prepare for a fight. He uses a spear and fire magic, so w??ait for him to thrust forward before attacking. When defeated, he drops the Prayer Room Key.

Where to find the Prayer Room

Reading the description on the key, you'll learn that the Prayer Room is som?ewhere in the Shadow Keep �but things aren't that simple. You can scour the keep from top to bottom, but the Prayer Room will most likely elude you.

The Prayer Room is actually in the Church District, on the eastern section of the Shadow Keep. It's not accessible from the keep, though. You'll have to reach it by coming in from the east. If you haven't unlocked the area yet, be sure to check out our detailed guide with directions.

A?fter you arrive at the Church District, head fo??rward and hop across the buildings in from of you while avoiding exploding enemies and the water.

When you reach the roof with the Fire Knight, kill it ??and jump onto the stone buttress leading up to the dilapidated church nearby.

Drop through the hole in the roof onto the stone structure below. Make your way to the room with the hole an??d descend further down.

Nearby, you should see a room with a door �don't go down the hallway in the other direction (unless you also still need the Carian Thrusting Shield). Go to the door and unlock it using the Prayer Room ??Key.

Inside, you'll f?ind the ?NPC Queelign moping over Queen Marika. You now have an option to do something with Queelign, which I'll go over next.

Should you give Queelign the Iris of Grace or the Iris of Occultation?

After you exhaust Queelign's dialogue, you're given options depending on if you're carrying the Iris of Grace or the the Iris of Occultation (or both). You can also leave him if you're not ready to? choose.

• If you give Queelign the Iris of Occultation, you can get his weapon: 'Queelign's Greatsword'
• If you give him the Iris of Grace, your reward is the 'Fire Knight Queelign' Spirit Ashes

What you decide is ultimately up to you. Bear in mind that whatever option you pick, y?ou can't un-pick it; the other item can only be claimed on a second playthrough of the DLC.

The Dueling Shield is one of the two new Thrusting Shields introduced in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, and you can find it rather early. All you need is to progre?ss far enough to reach the Shadow Keep.

Dueling Shield location in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

To find the Dueling Shield in Shadow of the Erdtree, progress in the Shadow Keep until you reach the first Site of Grace in the Specimen Storehouse. From the Site o?f Grace on the first floor??, head forward and circle the centerpiece on the left side.

Watch for the ambush from the Shadow Militiaman doing its best Bloodborne impression and keep mov??ing until you see a staircase leading up and ?then to the left.

Defeat the enemies and take a sharp left after the staircase. Keep moving?? until the end of the first bookshelf on your right. Another Militiaman is waiting for you. Defeat it and head up the staircase.

Climb the next set of?? stairs going left. Ignore the Fire Knight chilling nearby and go up the stairs to the next floor.

You will see another set of stairs going?? to a platform with another Fire Knight. You can run past the Kni??ght or fight it. Either way, you'll need to head up the stairs and take a left.

?Take the bridge going across the gap. You should see the corpse of what appears to be a giant goat... or something. Stop here and look for the narrow stone buttress leading from the bridge to a platform on the ot??her side. Use it to get across.

The corpse at the end of the room is holding the Duel?ing Shield.

The Dueling Shield is in a new shield category called Thrusting Shields introduced by the Elden Ring DLC. Thrusting Shields are shields and offensive weapons rolled into?? one, allowing you to go from defense to offense quickly.

The Dueling Shield works great for players using strength/dexterity builds. With it, you can protect you?rself from strikes before hitting right back. It's honestly a fun weapon to use, and it feels way too good to watch those annoying-ass Militiamen desperately try to kill you before you reciprocate with the shield's jabby end.

Also, since the shield counts as a weapon, you can increase your offense by two-handing it with the Two-Handed Sword Talisman.

The Carian Thrusting Shield is one of two shields in the new Thrusting Shield category introduced by Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree??. Both are found in the same area, but the Carian Thrusting Shield takes a bit more work.

Like its Dueling Shield cousin, the Carian Thrusting Shield is locate??d in the Shadow Keep �but stashed away. You need to go in via the back entrance in the Church District, which itself can't be accessed directly from the Shadow Keep.

Carian Thrusting Shield location in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

To find the shield, you must begin your search in the Church District on the eastern section of the Shadow Keep. If you don't have the Site of Grace for the area unlocked, I ?suggest you first follow our ??guide on how to get there.

Once at the Church District, head forward and jump onto the roo?f below. Go around on the right side and use this piece of architecture to reach the stone wal??l beyond.

Go across the roof, but ignore the burning enemies. They'll charge you and explode, causing a lot of damage. It's best to leave them to pop on their sad lonesome. Climb the broken wall leading to a higher platform and turn left once you ??reach the top.

Jump from the platform on??to the roof nearby, but watch out for the Fire Knight on patrol.

After taking care of the Fire Knight, head to the roof to the west and jump onto ?the?? stone buttress leading to the roof of a large, dilapidated church.

Drop down onto the sto?ne arch from?? the hole in the roof.

Carefully follow the arch ??down to the next platform and drop?????????????????????????? through the hole.

You have two directions you can go once you reach the floor. One direction will take you to the locked door of the Prayer Room. If you have the Prayer Room Key, you can enter and chat with the guy inside. You must go the opposite way for the shield.

Back on the path, you'll pass by a room to your left with a 'Rune of an Unsung Hero' inside. Beyond is a patrolling Fire Knight. Kill them and take a left through t??he door that has a stone path going over water.

Follow the path and then take the elevator you find to the top. You've made it to the back room of the ??Specimen St??orehouse at the Shadow Keep! Wasn't that a fun journey? I bet it was, especially for those of you who didn't have the Church District unlocked.

Anyway, take a left once you enter the Keep and activate the Lost Grace. Walk across the bridge and kil?l all the enemies (the Fire Knight included) in the darkened room with spears lining?? the walls.

Once the deed is done, grab the Carian Thrusting Shield off the corpse on the far wall.

The Carian Thrusting Shield scales with strength, dexterity, and intelligence, but likely favors strength and intelligence builds as it does have magic attack power. Naturally, this means my 'unga bunga' warrior can use it as well as he can t?hrow it.

But since it is a weapon and shield combined, using it two-handed with the Two-Handed Sword Talisman should increase your damage.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree isn't too illuminating when it comes to how to get to certain places in the Land of Shadow, and the Church District is no exception. The area is located on the eastern part of the Shadow Keep, bu??t reaching it is quite a journey.

By journey, I mean you have to make like Gimli and go the long way around. The Shadow Keep doesn't offer a quick and dirty way?? to enter the Church District. You'll have to start furthe??r to the south.

Steps on how to get to the Church District of the Shadow Keep

To get to the Church District, you must begin your trip at the 'Moorth Ruins' Site of Grace, southeast of the Shadow Keep. From the Site of Grace, trav??el under the ?massive stone arch.

Take a sharp left after the arch. You should see a ch?urch sinking into the ground with a glo?wing item on the roof.

Climb over ??the roof and drop down to the other side. From there, you'll see a hole in the ground near the back of the church. Drop down and look for a cave that goes even deeper.

Keep going until you find a narrow passageway leading deeper into the cave. Near the end of the cave is ?a ladder that takes you to the Bonny Village.

Travel east from Bonny Village and cross two bridges. Grab the S??ite of Grace - 'Bridge Leading to the Vil??lage' and continue north.

Run past the Furnace Gole?m, or fight it if you wish, and keep moving until you reach the next Site of Grace: 'Church District Highroad'.

We're nearly there! From this Site of Grace, travel the road until you see a large, immac?ulate entrance carved into the rock. Go inside?.

At last, you'll discover the Church District at the end of the tunnel. There are plenty of things to do in the distr?ict. Oh, and stay away from the water. Something scary is lurking down there, and I don't think it's friendly.

There ain't no secret like an Elden Ring secret because an Elden Ring secret don't stop. Many players are learning that accessing a secret area requires the O Mother gesture. If you're ??up for a long journey, I'll show you where to find it.

O Mother gesture location in Elden Ring

The O Mother gesture is found in the Bonny Village. It's at the foot of a headless statue near a dead white tre??e.

Getting there is a bit of a pain, but it's, thankfully, n?ot too arduous a trek. The first thing you need to do is get through Castle Ensis. This looming castle can be found across the enormous bridge near the fire golem that patrols the area where you start the game.

It's tough but pretty straightforward to get through, so I'll leave y?ou to your own devices, or this article will be much longer than it sho??uld be. We have to start our directions somewhere, so for now, I will assume we are all through Castle Ensis; if not, you'll need to do that first.

Step 1 - Make your way to the Highroad Cross

After you make your way through Castle Ensis, you will come to the Highroad Cross Site of Grace. Turn to the East and make your way forward, and you will see a Cross of Miquella in the distance once? you reach the edge of the rise. That is our next stop.

Step 2 - Moorth Ruins

When you arrive at the Moorth Ruins, grab the Site of Grace and the Cross of Mique?lla, and then make your way southeast down the road. There are lots of enemies here, so be careful. You want to make your way through the massive arch.

When you do, you will notice a sq??uare tower to the left, with a path running toward it. Take this, and you will discover a massive crack in the earth, pretty well hidden by rocks and fallen ruins. You can slip down here on Torrent, using his double jump to not take any damage.

Be careful, as? there are some ghostly dogs down there. Continue making your way downward, as there is only one route you can take. There are some?? caster enemies in the room lit with torches, so be careful there. When you reach the end of all the tunnels, you will find a long rope ladder heading up. Take that to arrive at the Bonny Village.

Step 3 - Arriving at Bonny Village

When you arrive at Bonny Village, make your way down the main street. Most of the enemies here are pretty pitiful and won't cause much issue. The ones to watch at the Penitents. The??se are tanky, and they hit hard, so can definitely give you enough trouble for the lesser enemies to swarm you. As you move down the main street, you will come to a broken wooden bridge.

Use Torrent to jump across and keep going forward.?? You will come to a functional wooden bridge shortly after. Turn north and move up through the grasses, but be ?careful, as more Penitents will be lurking and waiting for you. In the distance, you will see a dead white tree.

At the foot of this tree is a statue without a head, and there you will find the O Mother gesture in Elden Ring. The O Mother gesture will cause your c??h??aracter to fall to their knees, with their palms raised upward.

What to do with the O Mother gesture in Elden Ring

This is going to be a very abridged list of directions, as this route is very long and is essentially a substantial portion of the DLC. Here's what to do with the O Mother gesture in Elden Ring:

• Make your way back to the village and across the intact wooden bridge.
• Follow the path past the furnace golem, where you will be able to either fight him or just ignore him.
• Go up the hill to the north and into the back of the Shadow Keep.
• Continue onward to the Church District.
• You will need to move on through the Specimen Storehouse, climbing up all the time.
• Explore this area fully, and you will come to a statue of Marika. This involves a lot of exploration, though, so have fun.
• At this statue is a golden message on the ground that says, "Have mercy for the spirited-away shaman." Use the O Mother gesture on it to open a door to the Hinterlands.

Shadow of the Erdtree has brought plenty of new content to Elden Ring, and players are rejoicing. There are tons of new enemies to slaughter, bosses to?? take on, and puzzles t??o solve. 

One of the puzzles you can find is The Sacred Tower Painting puzzle. If y??ou’re having trouble figuring this one out, no worries, we’re here to show you how to solve this puzzle and get your reward.

How to find The Sacred Tower Painting in Elden Ring

The Sacred Tower Painting can be found a bit to the northeast of the Scorched Ruins, inside of a small cave. It’s a new Info Item that’s exclusive to the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. 

While you will likely find this painting early on in the DLC, you won’t actually be able to solve the puzzle until much later after many of the bosses? are defeated, and you’ve made good progress in the s?tory.

How to complete The Sacred Tower Painting puzzle

In order to solve the puzzle, you’ll need to head to the location that inspired the painting, which can be found by the Northern Nameless Mausoleum. Getting there is the hardest part, but the bes??t route is to start northeast of the Moorth Ruins at the small lake.

Follow this path underne??ath as it takes you through Temple Town Ruins. Right by the cliff that takes you up to the Mausoleum, near the Fog Rift Catacombs, there is a locked Spiritspring that you can take up to?? the top of the cliff.

To unlock the Spiritspring, keep heading south up ??the slope and you’ll eventually find a small stack of stones to break. Once you’ve destroyed the stack, the Spiritspring will be unlocked and you can jump to the mausoleum.

Once at the top, go down to the southwest part of the cliff and you’ll find two stones that are close together. At this location, you can see The Sacred Tower as it is in the painting, and a ghost will drop the item for you to pick up. You can see the route on the map below.

Note that you can only solve the puzzle after you hav?e access to Enir Ilem and reveal its true form. This is a big moment in the DLC’s story. The paint??ing itself is a bit of a spoiler. You won’t be able to solve The Sacred Tower Painting puzzle before then, so don’t waste time trying to.

For finding the location of the painting, you’ll be rewarded with The Spiraltree Seal. This is one of the new Sacred Seals included with Shadow of the Erdtree. If your build uses a lot of Spiral Incantations, this is a ??good reward to pick up.

The ideal pick for all looking to put their opponents in the most peaceful of nightmares, the Velvet Sword of St. Trina is —together with the St Trina's Torch and the Thiollier's Hidden Needle�one of the only weapons in Elden Ring capable of nativel???y applying the Eternal Sleep stat.

But as you can imagine, getting the weapon won't be easy. Here's how to get the Velvet Sword of St. Trina in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring Velvet Sword of St. Trina Location

After entering the Land of Shadow as part of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, you will be able to find the Velvet Sword of St. Trina by first hea??ding to the Fissure Cross Site of Grace —located within Stone Coffin Fissure. You can check out the location of the site in the image below.

From the Site of Grace, head northwest toward the massive coffin highlighted in the first image below and then platform down until you reach a larger ar??ea facing a cave formation, showcased in the second image. As you cannot call Torrent here, I recommend equipping the Longtail Cat Talisman to mitigate fall damage if you end up misplacing a jump or falling any of the ledges you must platform on.

Once you finish your descent, you will be met with a couple o??f pathways. To reach the Velvet Sword of St. Trina, head toward the cave located directly ahead. Be aware, however, as a set of three slimes will fall from the ceiling once you get clo?se to the item. So take your time and defeat them before grabbing the weapon.

Velvet Sword of St. Trina stats and scaling

As an intelligence weapon, the Velvet Sword of St. Trina will have an initial scaling of E Strength, D Dexterity, and E Intelligence. You will also need to have 10 Strength, 12 Dexterity, and 14 Intelligence to wield it. While at +10, the weapon will offer a D??/D/D scaling and 232 Physical and 149 Magic Attack. Best talismans for the Velvet Sword of St. Trina

When looking to make use of the Velvet Sword of St. Trina, I recommend that you go with the St. Trina's Smile talisman. When equipped, the talisman will increase your damage by 20% after applying any amount of either Sleep or Eternal Sleep. To further boost your damage after inflicting any of the statuses on your targets, I recommend also using either the standard or the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia talisman for a sequential attack damage boost.

Does Eternal Sleep affect bosses?

Yes, although differently from regular enemies, bosses will only be mom?entarily staggered by the effect. The same is true for other players in PVP. Keep in mind that using the Velvet Sword of St. Trina against bosses is not optimal, as most of them have a high resistance against Sleep/Eternal Sleep.

On the other hand, the weapon is extrem??ely efficient when facing either medium or small-sized enemies, as they will truly enter an ?eternal slumber once you apply enough of the status. The same, unfortunately, cannot be said about large targets, which will eventually wake up.

Clearing the Shadow Keep is no easy feat. First off, well done! But now you've found yourself wandering through the Ancient Ruins of Rauh and are getting no closer to that map icon. Here's how to find the Rauh Ruins map in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.

Unfortunately, the Rauh Ruins map doesn't appea??r to be access?ible from the Ancient Ruins of Rauh. You'll have to put your foolish ambitions to rest and go all the way back to the Scadu Atlas to locate it. The path to the Rauh Ruins map takes you across poisonous ponds and through caves, but it's worth the trip to see the Ancient Ruins in its fully charted glory.

To find the Rauh Ruins map, take a trip to the 'Moorth Ruins' Site of Grace. If you haven't unlocked it, warp to 'Highroad Cross', the first Site of Grace you likely discovered after clearing Castle Ensis. Follow the road to the Shadow Keep but turn right when you reach the intersection. Travel southeast from there until you reach Moorth R?uins.

From Moorth Ruins, travel nor?theast toward the lake p?opulated by blue gummy worms. Enter the cave on the other side and continue north across the pools of poison.

You will see another? large cave on the other side. Go inside and ??start heading northwest. After the cave, you'll find your next Site of Grace: 'Ancient Ruins Base'.

Travel southwest, past the massive Golems standing gu?ard. The Archer Golem may cause you some trouble. If? so, remember to attack its ankles.

K??eep traveling along this path southwest until you ??see a place dotted with broken pillars.

The Rauh Ruins map location is just beyond!

With the Rauh Ruins map unlocked, you'll finally be able to see the entirety of the a??rea. It's massive, but not as complicated as you may have thought a??t first glance.

Before you return to the Ancient Ruins of Rauh, be sure to stop by the Temple Town Ruins to the southwest of the map location. It hides the Two-Handed Sword Talisman, which is perfect for those who l??ike to hit things with gi?ant swords.

Temple Town Ruins is also near the Two-Headed Turtle Talisman and the Rivermouth Cave. You might not even have the ti??me to go back to the Ancient Ruins at this rate.

Two-handed swords in Elden Ring, like with most FromSoftware games, hit hard and hurt a lot. It's what makes them so fun. If you're looking to min/max your two-handed build, here's how to get the Two-Handed Sword Talisman early in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.

The Two-Handed Sword Talisman is located in the Temple Town Ruins to the north of the Gravesite Plain where you begin your new journey. But if you?'ve just begun, it's not so easy to find the path, which passes through caves and over pools of poison. It's always pools of poison with this game, isn't it?

Two-Handed Sword Talisman location in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

To quickly track down the Talisman, you have to progress in the game enough to reach the 'Highroad Cross' Site of Grace. It becomes available after you clear out Castle Ensis, one of the earliest locations in the DLC. Here's th??e map with the dire??ctions we're going to follow:

From Highroad Cross, travel north and then follow the path that goes right when you reach the intersection, before the enemy encampment. If you don't have it already, you should go southeas??t to unloc??k the next Site of Grace at the 'Moorth Ruins'.

From here, head to the lake northeast of the ??ruins. Enter the cave at the edge of the lake with the friendly gummy worms.

Ign?ore the enemies in the cave and exit via the hole to the right. Beyond are the aforementioned pools of poison, so keep traveling on Torrent. Make your way further north and into another, massive cave.

Exit the cave to find yourself at Rauh ??Base. Grab the 'Ancient Ruins Base' Lost Grace and then head southwest. Ignore t?he two Golems if you can and keep going. If you can't get past the Archer Golem without taking some hits, remember that their ankles are their weak points.

Keep moving southwest until you find the map of the? Rauh?? Ruins.

The dilapidated remains of the Temple Town?? Ruins are nearby, further southwest. Look for a hole in the wall of the ruins on the?? south side.

Enter the ruins via the hole in the wall and go up the winding staircase to your right. Climb onto the br??idge with the purple fabric draped over the top.

Drop down onto? the exposed corner at the end of the ??path.

There's a Scadutree?? Fragment nearby, so grab it before returning to the corner where you first dropped down. Once you're back, dro?p again onto the platform below and climb the stairs nearby.

After the s??tairs, you'll run into a Horned Warrior. Defeat him and go up the ?next flight of stairs.

In the room at the ?top of the stairs is a chest with the Two-Handed Sword Talisman.

That's it! Enjoy hitting things even harder now. In my experience, I was able to pull off around 200 more dam??age per swing, making the Talisman upgrade feel pretty significant.

At the risk of sounding like an infomercial, but as a person who runs a strength-build character, stamina is essential. That's why it's wise to locate the Two-Headed Turtle Talisman in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree �the best Talisman for stamina regeneration.

Okay, that did sound like an awful lot like an infomercial, but if you've been hooked by the pitch then you should read on to know more. The Two-Headed Turtle Talisman in Shadow of the Erdtree is like its single-headed sibling in the base Elden Ring, except better. As advertised, it's designed to improve upon the original's stamina regeneration. All players benefit from its effects, but it's arguably the most useful for us heavy types who enjoy swinging weapons the s??ize of God's middle finger.

Two-Headed Turtle Talisman location in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

To find the Two-Headed Turtle Talisman, you must travel to the Ellac River that cuts through the heart of the Land of Shadow. The fastest way to get there is by locating the 'Ellac River Cave' Site of Grace, which is a bit tricky to find. If you have the Site unlocked, skip the next couple of paragraphs. If not, then read on for the directions. Keep in mind that the journey is treacherous; there are enemy soldiers, gargoyles, ??cliffs, a surprise atta??ck, and maybe a giant crab or two.

Here's the map of the path we're about to take:

To find the river, you'll need to start at the 'Castle Front' Site of Grace to the northeast of the starting point on the map. It's just past the Ellac Greatbridge. From there, head east while keeping the rock wall to your left. Ignore the enemies as you cut through the enemy soldier camp. We're not her??e for them. Past the camp is a cliff with a hidden path leading down the cliff.

Carefully make your way down on Torrent, all the way to the bottom. You'll know you're close when you see a?? giant poisonous flower by its lonesome.

Enter the cave to?? the right of the flower and keep going until you discover the Ellac River Cave Site of Grace.

Once you leave the cave and enter the river, ignore the waterfall to the left and head north. Make sure you're traveling on the left side of the river w?hen you reach this spot to avoid a surprise attack by an Ulcerated Tree Spirit that rises from the waters (how deep is this river?!).

Keep traveling north until? you spot a giant cr??ab near a waterfall.

Past the waterfall is a cave wi?th three angry gummy worms �and a corpse holding the Two-Headed Turtle Talisman. Nice!

Be sure to?? remove the worms before you praise? the dog.

You can get to the Talisman cave via an alternate route from the Temple Town Ruins. Head south from the ruins and then descend to the Ellac River by hopping down a series of massive tombstones sticking out of ??the cliff wall.

The Great Katana it's by far the most adaptable of its weapon class in Elden Ring, the latter given its ability to be imbued wi??t?h different properties and thus fit a wide array of builds.

But did you know that the weapon is also one of the first available as part of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC? For all looking to test out the new weapon class as soon as possible, here's how to get the Great Katana in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring Great Katana Location

After entering the Land of Shadow, you can find the Great Katana at the center of the lake featuring the Ghostflame Dragon in Gravesite Plain. You will be able to reach the area by first heading north from the Three-Path Cross Site of Grace until you reach the Greatbridge North one. Once there, simply head west? toward the frozen lake and you will be able to spot the weapon in front of the sleeping dragon at its center. Great Katana stats and scaling

The Great Katana has an initial scaling of D Strength and D Dexterity, you will also need to have at least 14 and 18 in the respective stats to wield it. As mentioned earlier, you will be able to alter the weapon's scaling by following different upgrade paths. For example, a +25 Quality Great Katana will have B Strength and B Dexterity scaling, while a +25 Occult will have E Strength, D Dexterity, and B Arcane. So that you can have a better view of the weapon, here are all of? the initial stats for the Great Katana:

Is the Great Katana better than the Nagakiba?

Although the Great Katana will offer a great deal of damage and similar range, the Nagakiba's ability to make use of a wider array of ashes of war and how you can dual-wield it with other light weapons? for maximum effect makes it my main pick for most builds.

If you are looking for a two-hand weapon, however, the Great Katana is the best among the two given its higher damage and above-average attack speed for weapons of its size. Its native Ash of War's ability to apply?? harmful effects fast and deal massive damage at a low FP cost is also a huge plus. If you cannot get used to the slow buildup of Overhead Stance, the Lion's Claw Ash of War will allow you to deal similar damage while putting yourself at way less risk.

Most of the discussion surrounding the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring has been about how challenging it is, with people even making mods that tone down the difficulty. Skilled enough players, though, have demonstrated that not only can the DLC's toughe?st enemies be felled, they can be defeated without taking any damage yourself. One such player has shown its possible with even the final boss fight.

Reddit user jaded-dreamer5 recently shared a clip of them taking on the final boss, who we will refrain from naming since it's a spoiler. Just know it's perhaps the hardest boss fight in all of Shadow of the Erdtree, yet jaded-dreamer5 makes it look easy, beati?ng the boss in less than two minutes. To add extra insult to injury, their character was almost completely naked and wielded a rather piddly looking sword and shield, but still managed to expertly dodge and parry every attack.

While fellow players are almost upset with the level of skill on display, they're more impressed by jaded-dream5's incredible feat. "That was beautiful. Specially because it made the boss look so easy," said one, while another called the fight "very satisfying to watch." One player has admitted seeing the clip made them angry "cause I am using every trick in the book and still can’t beat him,?" but still congratulated jaded-dream5 for pulling off a no-hit run.

However, jaded-dream5 has assured this wasn't as simple as it may seem, saying they apparently died over 500 times to the boss beforehand. They've also offered advice on how to beat the boss, explaining "The easiest way to deal with him is a greatshield with greatshield talisman +?? holy resistance and bleed antspur spear. You just need to manage your stamina??." Plus, in case it wasn't obvious from the gameplay clip, parrying is super important too, and jaded-dream5 made use of the Raptor of the Mists skill for dodging certain attacks.

This is by no means the only example of a no-hit run against the final boss. You can find other examples on YouTube, such as these two which appear to make use of similar strategies as jaded-dream5's.
