The first way is to progress with the story and come across Selo Rovak, The Mechanic. She is an NPC and you get to interact with her during The Mechanic mission, the one where Waka asks you to gather some part??s to upgrade your Speeder.

Selo has six abilities to unlock, out of which you must look for Scoundrel's Pouch (the fifth one from the left) or Outlaw's Pouch (the sixth ability). Once y?ou unlock them, you can carry an additional Bacta Vial and Grenade.

To unlock the Scoundrel's Pouch, you must collect 1x Durafiber Fabric, 8x Coarseweave, and 4x Robuna Leather. And to unlock the Outlaw's Pouch, collect 1x Elastic Durafiber Fabric, 18x Coarseweave, and 10x Polycarbonate.

How to get better gear in Outlaws

The second option to increase Bacta Vial capacity is by purchasing better gear. Remember, these items are expensive, so study up on the best ways to stack up on Credits.

The world of Star Wars Outlaws is huge, and there are a bunch of merchants spread all over. Some of them wi?ll have special stock, but to access them, you must work on your Reputation Level among all the criminal networks, such as the Pyke Syndicate.

In Mirogana, there's a tailor named Berek Keehro who sells gear. Get the Abelor Survivalist Belt as it increases Bacta Vial carrying capacity by one. It normally costs 1,000 Credits, but my Reputation with the Pyke Syndicate was Good, so I was able to buy it for 630 Credits instead. So??, maint??aining a good Reputation Level comes with several perks apart from getting more jobs.

If the game's visuals are anything like the gameplay trailers so far, we should be in for an eye-pleasing treat as well.

I have to admit, I wasn't sure if Concord should make the most anticipated list for the August 2024 games lineup, but it is a first-party game from one of the industry's brightest publishers, PlayStation. Trying to take a bite from the live-service audience who plays games like Overwatch and Paladins, this hero shooter stars vibrant personalities with wildly ?different playstyles.

These Freegunners charge into their foes head-on in Braun Strowman-like WWE fashion, use a vacuum as an offensive weapon, and can see through walls utilizing stealth abilities. It does feel different from its competition, but the game doesn't seem to stand out in a crowded market, especially after a poor first impression with PlayStation fans. It feels late to the party for many. At least there will be some sort of narrativ??e element with a new cutscene released every week. Hopefully, it will overcome the odds and become a success when it launch??es on August 23.

America's favorite pastime is back in the gaming world with Madden NFL 25 after the successful debut of College Football 25. In this year's Madden, EA has FieldSense which has a new physics-based tackling system that "unlocks realistic collisions and new gameplay animations on both sides of the ball," according to the game's Steam page. Visions of Mana seems to strike many aspects of a JRPG fans crave from the genre. It has vibrant graphics with an anime-inspired art style, a seemingly fast-paced action-RPG combat system, and large open areas to explore with different biomes to find. You can also ride on an adorable dog-like creature called a pikul. This is a big deal for many Square Enix fans as this will be the first new Mana game in 15 years.

"The open zones and linear battle sections tying together, with elemental traversal and good, solid action, layered over with great art and music, all give me the feeling of booting up an RPG classic on a Saturday morning," said our preview.

Since the reveal of the official story trailer for Star Wars Outlaws, fans have had nothing but questions about certain aspects of the game that don't quite sit righ??t with? them in 2024.

First, there was a bit of a debacle about the fact that the game's physical edition requires an online connection to be fully installed. However, after a little time and research, it appears that this is more to avoid leaks and spoilers from copies being sent out to?o early than anything else. Still, it's not exactly normal and errs a little too close to a long-aba??ndoned system some publishers used to employ that saw games come with a one-time pass for story content that you'd need to pay for if you purchased a second-hand copy.

All the info we have on Jabba's Gambit points to it being small potatoes

The second stumbling block Star Wars Outlaws has hit still doesn't have a satisfying answer for some fans, though. It's a piece of DLC that only those who purchase the $110 Gold Edition can gain access to a m?ission called Jabba's Gambit.

When news that this mission would be exclusive to those who purchased the season pass for Star Wars Outlaws or a premium edition that includes it, there was a lot of confusion about how players would enjoy the full Jabba the Hutt storyline without it. Developer Ubisoft has since reached out, responding directly to PCGamer, clarifying that this mission is not the only one t??o feature the intergalactic godfather, nor is it essen??tial to the story.

To clarify, the Hutt Clan is but one of the major "gangs" you'll interact with and complete missions for in Star Wars Outlaws. You'll see plenty of the slovenly slug in your travels, so this mission is mo??re like icing on an already slimy cak??e.

The thing is, if??, like me, you've been buying various editions of games from Ubisoft for several years now, this isn't anything new. In fact, I'd go as far as saying Ubisoft should be as well known for not only offering a staggering number of editions but also for locking missions behi??nd those editions and season passes as it is for radio towers in open world games.

As far back as Assassin's Creed 2, Ubisoft has been locking missions behind its special editions. The Black Edition of the game came with three exclusive in-game quests, and every ?game in the series from this point followed suit. All of them had some sort of mission or quest that could only be played by those who had purchased a certain edition of each game.

Between Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed Revelations, and Assassin's Creed 3, Ubisoft offered even more exclusive editions. Utilizing the Ubiworkshop Store, Ubisoft created some unique editions for its games during this period, when Assassin's Creed was at its height. Brotherhood has an incredible-looking resin box that opens like an ancient tomb, Revelations a premium collection of goodies in a lithograph case, and 3 has a Cold War-style folder f?or everything it packs in. Some o?f the items you got with them, including collectible cards that could have been part of a card game, and art cards featuring characters who have never been before or since.

Assassin's Creed wasn't the only series Ubisoft did this with, either. Watch Dogs and Far Cry games all got exclusive missions that were locked behind various editions, though they soon transferred over to coincide with the editions that included season passes as they became a more acceptable form?? of monetization with game releases.??

In the Assassin's Creed series, a wolfskin cosmetic was the best thing I ever got from one of these exclusive quests. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood locked an entire side story and multiple quests behind ??its premium editions. The content of the actual quests has long left my memory, while that new outfit for Ezio really does look fantastic. Of course, the outfit has no bearing on Ezio's skills, so it's completely unnecessary and extremely frivolous.

For Watch Dogs, in particular, a trio of game modes were locked behind its season pass and pricier editions, only to be released as paid optional content further down the line. I fondly remember shooting cyborg zombies in the Conspiracy ?DLC one day with my collector's edition, which helped soften the blow of the game not quite living up to its E3 trailer.

Of cour?se, all of these exclusive missions and quests are now available to anyone who purchases the remastered versions of these games. Those that aren't are still there in season passes waiting to be unlocked, but I believe most have been brought over at this point.

When I saw Ubisoft promoting the various editions of Star Wars Outlaws and Jabba's Gambit, I was not phased. This is how Ubisoft has done business for more than a decade now. It'?s nothing more than a marketing scheme to make a version of this product look more appealing to fans who love collecting Ubiso??ft titles.

For now, the best thing to do is pre-order the edition of Star Wars Outlaws that you want and can afford, or wait and see, as usual. The season pa?ss isn't going anywhere and will likely drop in price in the future, so you can pick it and this exclusive mission up then if you, understandably, don't want to pay double the price of every other game launching this year just so you secure that one mission for your first playthrough.

Yesterday was a pretty interesting day for those waiting for fresh details about Star Wars Outlaws. If you were quick enough, that is. Turns out, prior to the new story trailer going live, Ubisoft accidentally?? leaked the game's release date early. T??here was a scramble to remov??e the date and any additional info (August 30, if you're interested), but it was too late at that point.

Developed by Massive Entertainment �the team behind Tom Clancy's The Division series �Outlaws will be set between the Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi films. And b?eca??use it's being published by Ubisoft, many of you will be wondering whether it will be available on Steam.

The short answer is: no, it doesn't look like it will be. According to a press release �as outlined by a recent report from PC Gamer �Star Wars Outlaws will be coming to Ubisoft Connect (as you would expect) and A??mazon's L??una cloud platform. Console owners will get to play it on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Not so epic...

It also doesn't look as though it's going to be available on Epic Games Store, either. The general understanding is that Ubisoft is not planning on releasing Outlaws on this or Steam as far as PC is concerned. This could change in the future, but you can never be t??oo certain about these things.

As for the game itself, pre-orders are now being taken, and there are a number of editions available. As well as the standard copy of Outlaws, there's also going to be a Gold Edition and an Ultimate Edition. Both of these will come with a Kessel Runner bonus pack and season pass. The latter will also get some additional bundles and a?n art book.

If you do want to play the game early, both of these special versions of the game will give you access from August 27, but be prepared to fork over quite a sum of money for that privilege. It will be a shame if Star Wars Outlaws does get kept back for the �let's be honest here �less popular PC gaming clients. It seems we're still very much living in a world of gaming exclusivity, but what do you expect from the likes of Ubi??soft?

Whether the game itself will be any good is another thing to consider. Outlaws represents the first ever open-world game set in the Star Wars universe. That alone sounds q??uite intriguing, but is it enough to part with that extra bit of cash in order to play it three days early? You decide.

While Star Wars Outlaws is billed as a single-player experience, publisher? Ubisoft plans to keep bringing you back even after clearing the main game ??with a season pass of post-launch DLC.

The existence of a season pass was revealed alongside an April 2024 trailer for Star Wars Outlaws, as well as a release date of August 30 (which had accidentally leaked beforehand) and pre-order details. The trailer focused primarily on story details and its cast of characters, including protagonist Kay Vess, so here's a rundown of everything you need to know about Star Wars Outlaws' season pass.

What's included in the Star Wars Outlaws season pass?

Firstly, the Star Wars Outlaws season pass contains two pieces of additional DLC. At the time of writing, Ubisoft hasn't shared much information on either of them, but it sounds like they'll be fairly meaty expansions since they'll allow you to "keep exploring the world of Star Wars Outlaws ??with all-new s?tories, quests and areas to discover."

The rest of the season pass consists of content that'll be available to you at launch. There is an exclusive mission called Jabba's Gambit, which'll no doubt involve Jabba the Hutt, who Kay encounters at some point during her adventure. Presumably, you'll need to unlock access to this mission by progressing the story, but it will be available in-game from da??y one.

Lastly, there is a Kessel Runner Character Pack, which adds new cosmetics for Kay and her little alien companion Nix. Ubisoft has yet to share images of what these cosmetics look like. It's also not to be confused with the Kessel Runner Bonus Pack, which is a pre-order exclusive that comes with cosmetics for Kay's speeder and spaceship. There are two other cosmetic bundles—the Rogue Infiltrator Bundle and the Sabaac Shark Bundle—but these aren't part of the season pass; they're only included with the Ultimate Edition of Star Wars Outlaws.

How do I buy the Star Wars Outlaws season pass?

Currently, the only way to acquire the Star Wars Outlaws season pass is by purchasing either the Gold Edition of the game for $109.99 / ÂŁ104.99 or? the Ultimate Edition for $129.99 / ÂŁ119.99. It's probably safe to assume, though, that the season pass will become a standalone purchase once the full game is out.

A release date for Ubisoft's upcoming Star Wars: Outlaws has leaked online ahead of a new trailer set to debut today, and Ubisoft itself was the one who leake?d it.

The story trailer is currently scheduled to air today on April 9 at 9am PT / 12pm EDT / 5pm BST across Ubisoft's YouTube channels. However, the Ubisoft Japan channel appeared to have accidentally included Star Wars: Outlaws' release date in the video desc?ript?ion: August 30.

The video has since been set to private, but Gematsu caught wind of it beforehand and saved a screenshot of the description for posterity's sake. Not only did it mention the release date, but it also revealed there will be two special editions—a Gold Edition and an Ultimate Edition—which come with a season pass (which confirms post-launch DLC) and three days' early access. So, anyone who purchases either edition can start playing Star Wars: Outlaws from August 27.

Announced at last year's Xbox Games Showcase, Star Wars: Outlaws was revealed to be the next game from The Division developer Massive Entertainment. It immediately caught peoples' attention for being the first fully open world Star Wars game, but also for having a protagonist who isn't a Jedi. Instead, you play as smuggler Kay Vess as she embarks on a journey across multiple planets alongside her cute axolotl looking companion Nix (who is bound to get at least some merchandise).

Back in January, a Disney blog post mentioned how Star Wars: Outlaws was aiming to release in late 2024, a line which was soon rewritten to just say 2024. This suggested it wouldn't be out until the fall or maybe even Christmas, but it seems Ubisoft is looking to get it in stores slightly earlie?r. Hopefully, this means development has progressed better than expected. August is a good time to drop a major release like this since, at the time of writing, the month is looking very quiet in terms of new video games, which means less competition for Ubisoft.

The Outlook is strong

It is a time of unrest. In the Star Wars universe, that’s all the time. But apparently, that’s important in Star Wars: Outlook �I mean Star Wars: Outlaws �which was shown off by Massive En??tertainment as? part of Ubisoft Forward 2023.

You play as Kay Vess, a thief who has a bounty on their head. She sneaks around and sucker-punches some dudes who don’t look like her. Her furry axolotl can be commanded by her to fetch weapons in the midst of combat. I??t’s actually pretty cute. Very merchandize-able.

She then takes off into the open world. Yeah, it’s open world. Normally, this isn’t much of a bulletpoint, but for Ubisoft, it’s a warning. So, this whole thing is just accomplishing a side-quest delivery, and ??then returning to the quest giver. She then takes off in her ship, which, again, is the most unimaginative-looking ship I’ve seen in a while. There’s some space combat. Quest complete.

I mean, it looks nice. It sounds nice. It’s very Star Wars-y, which I mean as a compliment. Still, though, the whole vertical slice of gameplay is so Ubisoft that it gives me pause. A lot of the features of Star Wars: Outlook, uh, Outlaws look pretty cool. I just don’t want to be using ??them to accomp??lish a bunch of shallow, repetitive nothing missions.

We’ll see for sure just how it turns out when Star Wars: Outlaws release sometime in 2024.
