Next month finally sees the western release of Idea Factory's newest entry in the goofy Hyperdimension Neptunia series. Developed by Canadian outfit Artisan Studios, Super Neptunia RPG sees Nep-N?ep and pals journey through Gameindustri as they work their way through a convenient bout of amnesia.

Already available in Japan, the North American and European releases are expected to hit PS4 and Nintendo Switch in late June. A limited edition collector's set has been revealed, which will offer the dedicated Neptunia fan a ton of fun goodies.

Purchasers will receive a physical copy of Super Neptunia RPG on their chosen p?latform, housed in a steelbook casing. Also included are a set of playing cards, featuring ??Nep, Vert, Noire and other series favourites, a double-disc soundtrack,  hardcover art book, and a cute plushie of Nep's favourite, Puddingo! This is all is encased in a fancy collector's box.

The Super Neptunia RPG limited edition set will be made available for pre-order "soon" over at the official Iffy store, priced at around $85. Super Neptunia RPG launches in No??rth America June 25 and in Europe June 28, on PS4 ??and Nintendo Switch.

Stock up on pudding

After some nagging delays and other such chicanery, it appears that Neptune and her pals are about ready to set off on their latest adventure. Idea Factory International has officially announced the worldwide release dates for Super Neptunia RPG.

The adventure, crafted by Canadian developer Artisan Studios, sees Neptune, Vert, Blanc and Noire battle their way through Gameindustri in a 2D action RPG which seems to recall the M.O. of Valkyrie Profile. The girls have amnesia, because why not? And will meet new and old friends as they battle hordes of vicious enem??ies, while also finding plenty of time for dessert.

Like any good RPG, Nep will gain party member on her journey, acquire gear, build stats, switch out weaponry and abilities, and no doubt engage in endless dialogue. Super Neptunia RPG will launch on PC worldwide on June 20. The PS4 and Nintendo Switch editions will launch June 25 in North America and June 28 in Europe. It was also reported recently that the PS4 edition will feature a "modified"? scene.

The road to Nepville just got a little longer

It's been a while since we last heard anything regarding Idea Factory's adventure title Super Neptunia RPG. Well, this week brings some news and it looks like Nep-Nep fans will have to hold on a smidge longer before they can hit t?he trail with Nep, Blanc, Noire and company.

The PS4 and Nintendo Switch editions of the?? action RPG have been pushed back from their spring release window to sometime during the summer, when they will release in Europe and North America alongside their PC bre??thren.

It has also been noted, not unsurprisingly, that two CG scenes in the PS4 edition have been "slightly modified" from the original Japanese release. Although details were not available, it's a snug bet that we all know what they're talking about. I find this example odd, as while titles such as Senran Kagura and Gun*Gal feature blatantly sexualised content, I've always considered Hyperdimension Neptunia to be way more restrained, save for some very mild innu??endo.

Super Neptunia RPG sees the gang hit with amnesia before going on a journey through Gameindustri, with gameplay similar to Valkyrie Profile. Delay sees adventure postponed until 2019

Idea Factory has announced that their upcoming action-adventure, Super Neptunia RPG, won't meet its originally scheduled western rel??ease window, and has been put back to Spring of 2019.

As evidenced by a recent tweet, western fans of Nep-Nep, Noire, Vert and the rest of the gang will have to hold on a little before they can get their mitts on the new game, which sees the girls questing through Gameindustri after suffering a convenient bout of amnesia. The delay is somewhat ironic considering that Super Neptunia RPG is the ?first game in the ser??ies to be developed in the west, by Canadian outfit Artisan Studios.

Super Neptunia RPG is still on track to meet its Japanese release, arriving on PS4 September 27, though th?ere is no word forthcom??ing on the intended Nintendo Switch port.

The calming of the Nep

Publisher Compile Heart has released a short video featured a cutscene from their upcoming action-adventure title Super Neptunia RPG, which is not only the first 2D platforming title in the Hyperdimension Neptunia series, but also the first entry developed outside o??f Japan.

I was expecting the clip to be loud, brash and J-Poppy, in keeping with most Neptunia music videos, but its actually surprisingly muted. We get reacquainted with the gang we all know and love, with Nep Nep and co??mpany returning to battle monsters (and their own problematic amnesia,) during this latest jaunt through Gameindustri.

The video is backed by one of the game's title tracks; the calming Dia vo Lhizer by Eri Sasaki. It all looks quite relaxing, to be perfectly honest, but no doubt the series' trademark brand of screwball comedy and exciting action will get un??derway once ??players hit the Start button.

Getting the old band back together

The new issue of Dengeki PlayStation has revealed a few new bits of info on the upcoming action-adventure Super Neptunia RPG, which launches later in the ?year on PS4 and Nintendo ?Switch.

According to the new info, Nep Nep's best pals will be by her side as she battles enemies and amnesia in her latest jaunt through Gameindustri. The kind and considerate healer Compa will return, alongside the scrappy, brawl-ready IF. Both of these characters are well-known to those who dallied with the early days of the Hyperdimension Neptunia games.

In addition to this, a new screenshot reveals Nep and co. transformed into their HDD forms for battle. In Super Neptunia RPG, these forms will ? allow access to various stats boosts, as well as new abilities and attacks to strike down those foolhardy enough to?? stand in your way.

Super Neptunia RPG is scheduled for la?unch in the West, on PS4 and Nintendo Switch, this Fall.
