While most collectibles in The Casting of Frank Stone help deepen your understanding of the story, Trinkets leave you with more questions than answers. These mysterious figurines are scattered throughout time. Here are all the Trinket locations in The Casting of Frank Stone.

All Trinket Locations

There are 12 Trinkets to collect, each one sitting inside of a wooden box. If you pre-ordered The Casting of Frank Stone, you'll have immediate access to the Plunderer's Instinct ability to reveal nearby Trinkets. You can also obtain this ability by completing one playt??hrough.

Chapter Trinket Location
Chapter 1 Iridescent King At the mill entrance head straight past the red truck. Go right towards the red barrel under the light. Squeeze through the gap near the barrel to reach a new area. Take a left here and you'll find the Trinket on the ground.
Chapter 1 Wooden Horse In the storm drain, you'll be faced towards a burning torch. Instead of heading this way, turn around and follow the path behind you. Down the path you'll find an open door that will lead straight to the Trinket.
Chapter 3 Waterlogged Shoe In the drugstore, head right and go down the aisle where Linda is standing. The Trinket is on the left shelf on the bottom row between some toilet paper and duct tape.
Chapter 5 Mother Daughter Ring When Robert gives you the option to either Climb or Cross to find the storm drain, choose Climb. After climbing the gate, walk down the path and you'll see the Trinket behind a chain-link fence. Continue a bit further down the path and squeeze between the rocks on the left side of the path to reach the Trinket.
Chapter 5 Tattooed Middle Finger When Robert gives you the option to either Climb or Cross to find the storm drain, choose Cross. After crossing the river, continue down the path. After balancing your way across a thin path, head left towards the wooden plank connecting the two platforms. Balance your way across the plank to reach this Trinket.
Chapter 5 Wooden Oni Mask Right after Bonnie joins the group, take a right and run straight into the open area. Keep going straight until you run into the building with the window above the door. Once there, turn left and pickup the crowbar on the floor near the grate. Now head northeast from here and use the crowbar on the front doors of the shack to reach the Trinket.
Chapter 5 Iridescent Head To get this Trinket, you'll first need a key in the storm drain. After you go through the door near the yellow graffiti, loo?k for an open window on the right side of the hall. Hop through the window and go through the door here. In this new area, head straight into the northern wall, then take a right to find the key on a table.

Later in the passageway with Jaime and Robert, run straight north and unlock the double doors to the casting foundry. In here, head up the steps and interact with the carts to pull them forward. Then, head down the steps and move the red cart towards the le??dge with the yellow tarp.

Now, climb on top of the cart to reach the ledge. Continue along the path here and eventually you'll find the Trinket near a ladder.

Chapter 5 Blighted Rat In the furnace chamber you'll find the Trinket on a metal platform you can't reach. Near the plat??form is a grey electrical box that can be used to move the platform closer, but it's missing a part.

To find the missing part, go down the metal ramp to where everyone is standing. Walk past the group and take a right up the steps there. Squeeze through the gap here to reach a metal crank. Take this crank and use it on the electrical box to move the platform with the Trinket.

Chapter 6 Victor's Soldier In the sanctum, head to the back of the room, behind the fire pit. The Trinket is on the floor to the left of the statue of a person sitting.
Chapter 7 Diamond Cufflinks After escaping from Frank Stone in the wagon shed, head down the first set of steps while exiting the wagon shed. Before heading down the second set of steps, turn right and balance your way across the beam here. The Trinket is on the platform at the end of this path.
Chapter 12 Sacrificial Knife After opening the secret passage in the bedroom, head down the steps and take a left into the hall. Continue straight down this hall and you'll find the trinket on a table near the Twins Rellik.
Chapter 14 Blacksmith's Hammer When Frank Stone begins chasing you, head down the hall and take a right. The Trinket is sitting on a table on the left side of the hall.

When Behaviour Interactive announced that it would be publishing a Supermassive Games title set in the Dead by Daylight universe, I was skeptical about how it would work. This is a developer that makes incredible horror games, but I wasn't sure how the rich lore of this asymmetrical horror title could be translated in The Casting of Frank Stone.

We recently had the opportunity?? to play the demo for Supermassive Games' upcoming title, and I'm happy to say that it nailed the brief on every mark.

The Casting of Frank Stone is a story set in the Dead by Daylight universe and intrinsically linked to its lore. I don't want to spoil how, because you'll find out for yourself if you play the demo, but I want to clarify that this isn't a game that does its own thing in a beloved world with ?established lore. It takes that lore and brings it to life in a new way while making it feel familiar, as if this has always been part of the multiplayer game you love.

A classic cast of characters and mechanics

The game sets t?he scene with a spooky opening in a lumber mill. Police officer Sam Green shows up looking for evidence of a missing infant and enters the night watchman's booth to chat with Tom in there. It's not long before you take control and start to see what the game's about. Sam wants answers, but Tom isn't forthcoming. You get to choose his approach, whether he's curious or skeptical, altering the path of the conversation and future options you can access.

Soon, Sam notices?? some booze in a drawer, making him (and you) question T?om's answers without either of you saying a word. You can address the alcohol in a choice, or leave it alone. Tom's the sort of man who seems like he might have a short fuse, so I chose to leave it and ask more questions. By opting to keep things civil with Tom, I don't hear any grief from him when Sam begins taking a look around the mill. He only says to keep an eye out for his dog.

Conversations are just one aspect of the gameplay in The Casting of Frank Stone. Soon after the encounter ?with Tom, I get full control over Sam and can wander the mill's grounds as I please in search of a way in. The lighting, sound design, and well-timed audio cues ke?pt me on edge for the entire time I was playing.

Some survival horror games fail to hit ??the mark on atmosphere, making you feel easygoing while exploring because you don't know if you should be afraid or know that you're safe. This game forces you to be wary, as if someone is watching you at all times.

Exploration is absolutely something you should be doing, though. The demo is littered with Dead by Daylight easter eggs to find in nooks and crannies. From chess pieces with lore entr?ies to full bus?ts of the original Killers from the game, each one is contextualized to make it fit in the world. The chess pieces, for example, all fit into a toolbox that will fill up as you find each one, and the busts look like effigies carved by the titular killer I soon met.

Af?ter entering the mill, Tom catches up with Sam, and the pair find Tom's dog. This 'friendly' beast takes one look at the men, growls, and runs off. It was eating some rancid meat off the ground that, upon further inspection, appears to hold an ear at the very least.

Tom greets Sam without a word of anger, but I ?know if I'd been less careful in my earlier conversation with him, this situation could have gone a completely different way. I can't help but wonder that if I'd poin??ted out his booze, he'd be shouting and upsetting his dog right now.

The tone changes?? now as the pair realize the missing child could indeed be at the mill. The next section requires you to find a tool to move a grate and enter a new area, and shows off some of the QTEs (quick-time events) used to make the experience much more interactive than a simple playable movie.

Opening a door or inspecting an item always requires an extra click or a drag, and surprises that spook Sam trigger the same skill check meter from Dead by Daylight and use the same sounds for successful checks. All of it serves to make the game more of a tactile exper??ience, but definitely one that's going to appeal more to fans of Behaviour Interactive's asymmetrical horror title out of pure nosta?lgia.

Deep in the mill, Sam meets the one and only Frank Stone, and you get a taste of what combat and the more intense encounters will be like. Stone is a big dude and quickly disarms Sam, meaning you're on the back foot. You can fight the killer off through quick tapping or aiming punches, but the action ends in what migh?t be the best moment of the entire demo for me: a good old-fashioned hooking.

The demo's ending hints at what's to come in the story, and is something Dead by Daylight fans should see for themselves first-hand, so I won't spoil it. Even if you h?aven't played or dislike the multiplayer horror title, though there's plenty to love here. This is a horror game through-and-through, but it's more of an evolu??tion of the type of releases Supermassive Games is known for.

Throughout the game, you're given clues about moments that impact the story. They tell you that your Fate has been changed, but it's not until after the battle with Frank that I see a messag??e telling me my Fate has been sealed. I suspect those earlier moments open up or cl?ose various paths, but the bigger, more poignant ones alter something much more impactful for a playthrough.

I love a good horror game, and The Casting of Frank Stone has all the makings of one. It feels fresh, scary, unsettling, and engrossing. I can't wait to see the next chapter and then the next, all the way to the finale. Even then, I know I'll load up a new game to try out all the different choices or use the Cutt?ing Room Floor to speed the process up.

If you're eager to sink your teeth into a new horror game with some potential, check out The Casting of Frank Stone's demo from August 26, 2024, on Steam ahead of its September 3, 2024 release date. If you've been aching for something to keep you busy before Silent Hill 2: Remake, this is it.

Developer Supermassive Games and Publisher Behaviour Interactive have announced that from August 26, 2024, fans have a chance to try out a Steam demo for their upcoming title, The Casting of Frank Stone. The demo allows you to test out the horror? before? its September release date.

In this demo, players take on the role of Sam Green, an extremely determined policeman who is on a case to find a missing child. This case leads him to the disturbing location of Cedar Hills Steel Mill, a place brimming with secrets yearning to terrif??y those willing to discover them. Those secrets will reveal a truth so sinister it will turn Green's stomach, but he must continue in ?his pursuit of hopefully saving a life.

Be ready for the main game

Supermassive Games explains that this demo acts as a prologue to The Casting of Frank Stone. So, if you want to get ahead of the game and engross yourself i??n its world well ahead of time, I sugg??est you pick it up and play it through so you know where you're starting from when the final release hits on September 3, 2024.

The demo also contains twists, turns, and hidden easter eggs for Dead by Daylight fans to enjoy, so keep an eye out if you're a fan because you'll find something that'll make you chuckle. Or maybe even scream. Demo progress won't carry over to the main game. But it does give you a chance to play around with the mechanics and become familiar with them early, so you know what you're doing in the ?full re??lease.

Gameplay in The Casting of Frank Stone revolves around exploring the outcomes of various situations and choices. While there's one optimal route through the game, there?? are dozens of potential other routes for you to explore if you want to. This adds a lot of replayability to the game and this demo, so don't just rush it??. The aim, as is the case with other Supermassive Games titles, is to explore every potential outcome and see everything the game and story has to offer so you understand all of it.

Note that this demo is short and isn't a slice of the full game that you'll repeat after a few hours. This is an opportunity to get into the introduction and a tutorial in many ways and experience this new brand of horror set within the Dead by Daylight universe.
