TikTok is a wild place, full of the most laser-focused "how'd you know I'd be into this?" content I've ever come across in any of my feeds. Every day, its algorithm gets closer to figuring out exactly what kind of weirdos we all are. With that extreme granularity, the app means a lot of different things to a lot of different people, but if you're ever in the mood for more gaming content, we've got you covered �Destructoid has a TikTok account!

To back up for a second, Destructoid recently launched a comedic gaming news show on Snapchat called, well, The Destructoid Show. (If it work??s, it works!) It's been a? couple of crazy months for co-hosts Brett Medlock and Mary Stowe and our tireless editor, Dan Roemer. Full episodes go up every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, if you're down.

That said, the video crew has also be?en building up Destructoid's new TikTok account.

Brett, Mary, and Dan have settled into a groove with gaming news coverage, over-the-top scripted bits, and off-the-cuff postings whose satire might be lost on some (but oh well). We feel like the time is right for an announcement, so here it is, and we ho??pe you enjoy it.

As much as TikTok can be its own ecosystem, it'd be cool to see these videos reach regular Destructoid readers �folks who recognize the robot beyond the Twitch emote. And hey, if you leave a thoughtful comment, Brett might even give you a literal shout-out.

A modern take on a classic gaming news show

After a long slumber, The Destructoid Show is coming back, well, today.

We've got a?? shiny new scripted show with a faster pace and t?wo new co-hosts leading the charge, but the goal is the same as it always was: to keep you up to date on what's happening right now in gaming, and to make you laugh as much as possible.

The Destructoid Show is hosted by Brett Medlock (who just joined the site as our head of video) and Mary Stowe (who's been in charge of Dtoid's social media), with tireless editing and extra comedic chaos from Dan Roemer (who's also holding down the YouTube fort). Real talk: it?'s been a lot of work getting this project up and running. I'm so proud of? 'em!

With that said, when and where can you tune in? The Destructoid Show will air every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning on Snapchat. So... yes, it's a show for your phone! If you've already got the app on your mobile device, you can just scan the Snapcode above; otherwise, you can preview the show in your browser with this link.

Snapchat is a whole new platform for us, with its own dynami??cs, and we hope you'll check out The Destructoid Show when you're on a lunch break, waiting in line, or have a few minutes to spare. This show is something you can fire up and finish in one quick go.

Our first episode covers Tom Holland's take on Nathan Drake in the new Uncharted movie, what's up with the gigantic 1.5 patch for Cyberpunk 2077, and PlatinumGames' recent remarks about the rise of NFTs in gaming, including a great crack at Konami.

It's been *how long*?

The original Dtoid Show came about at a crazy, exciting time in the site's history, and Tara Long, Max Scoville, and our dear sweet Jonathan Holmes really created something special. It was a video game news show that wasn't just a video game news show. It was funny and informati?ve, sure, but it was als??o heartfelt. And my goodness, those skits!

The show's name will conjure up a lot of different feelings for a lot of different people �but more than a decade later, those memories are still warm and fuzzy. Since the final episode of Max and?? Tara's run, much has changed for Destructoid, gaming coverage in ?general, and the video landscape. 2013 feels so inconceivably distant, doesn't it?

We expect this incarnation of T??he Destructoid Show to evolve quite a bit as we go, much like the original version. The team has big ideas about how to distill Destructoid's classic vibe into a fast and focused news show while also tapping into a brand new audience.

In other words, it's going to be another wild rid??e. I hope you'll join us!

This is the worst idea we've had since our last idea

You guys might recall (we sure as hell don't) a month or so ago, Devolver Digital sent me and Bill an early build of Titan Souls and a couple large bottles of some sort of ale made by wizards or monks or something. Bill and I somehow managed to beat a couple of the extremely difficult bosses, and then uhh. I think I put on Hotline Miami and died repeatedly in the tutorial mission.

Today, we're about to embark on a similar and equally stupid mission: we're going to drink some Pernod (Absinthe Supérieure!) the way it's meant to be served: with a golden spatula and some sugar cubes and little cups that look like bells, and we're gonna be wearing neckties and playing The Talos Principle while we do it.

The Talos Principle, if you're unfamiliar, is a philosophical first-person puzzle game from Croteam, the creators of the very stupid (but fun) Serious Sam series, and presumably, they got all the idiotic smashing of things out of their system, because Talos looks like a lot like Portal, b??ut way more surreal, and with lots of pretty trees and stuff.

Okay, that's it. We're done. Skyrim is vanquished, and Ronnie James Dio can now mount his big clean tiger and ride it down into the midnight sea full of? shiny diamonds like the eyes of a cat in the black and blue. Or something.

Who knows, maybe Dio's adventures in Skyrim will continue someday... But, Bill just showed up with a copy of Ride To Hell: Retribution, so I think we're gonna go play that instead.

Cairn? Cave? Cavern? Something.

My old roommate told me there's some trick to Skyrim dungeons where if you follow one of the walls all the way around, you'll find the exit, or something, but I never listened to him. I'm still actually mad be??cause he buckled my frying pan by dunking it in cold water, so now it rises up in the middle, so when I cook eggs, they always run off to one side. He's a good guy, though. He played an archer with like a le??vel 100 sneak, and then his PS3 bricked. Poor guy.

Dio in Skyrim continues!

In our ongoing attempts to break YouTube by uploading the dumbest things possible into it, thereby short-circuiting the Mother Brain and freeing us all from our virtual imprisonment, we've started the second chunk of our adventures in Skyrim as heavy metal legend Ronnie James Dio. Here's the fourth part of the idiotic Skyrim Let's Play series Bill and I have been doing. The hook is this: we're playing Skyrim, but our character KIND OF looks like Ronnie James Dio. So, we're talking about heavy metal and that sort of thing. My girlfriend Jenn got home from work and joined us on the couch to eat tacos, play Spelunky, and comple?tel??y ignore the fact that we were in the middle of something.

Sometimes playing video games is a fun experience and everyone enjoys themselves. Other times, someone winds up screaming at the TV. That's life. However, I can't remember the last time I found myself screaming "Eat the f*cking peanuts!" I mean, outside of that one time I was playing Elephant Hell 3D on hard mode.

Damn! Dang! Darn! Uhh... Dildos!

I think the lesson Bill and I learned playing D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die is that we need to calibrate the Kinect, an??d make sure it can see us properly. Beyond that, I'm still unclear what this game is about, and it?'s vaguely upsetting to try and make sense of it.

It feels a bit like some kind of crossover between Cheers and The Butterfly Effect, but through a glass darkly, and from within a thick cloud of paint fumes. Is that a good thing? I don't know. But we s?ure look stupid playing it.

Okay, so Chris Carter absolutely loved D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, so Bill and I figured we'd check it out... and uh. Wow. Goodness ??gracious.

That certainly is some sort of video game. I think. Honestly, if I didn't have this whole experience on video, I might think there was a gas leak in my house making? us go all stupid and i?nsane.

Our pal Mike Cosimano (who, in all seriousness rivals Jonathan Holmes when it comes to kindness and all-around positivity) was our video editing man at PAX Prime earlier this month. I made sure he got a chance to check out some games he wanted to see, and two of those games were Until Dawn and Bloodborne. 

Both of those games were too scary for me and Bill to cover, so Mike did us a soli??d and summed up his thoughts in this lovely video, though first he had to go to back to college and then attend a Transformers convention. Sorry for the delay!

Has my hype train derailed?

Sunset Overdrive was one of the most exci??ting announcements to come out of E3 2013, and since then, I've had numerous people say it l?ooks like a game made just for me.

For whatever reason, I didn't get a chance to check it out at E3 or PAX, and a couple weeks ago, I was giddy to finally sit down and check it out. I playe?d through the first hour or so, and while it seems like a pretty solid game, I came away feeling total?ly uninterested.

Maybe it's a case of hype fatigue, or maybe I'm just too old for energy drinks and parkour. Maybe I just need something weirder to scratch that itch. Anyway, check out the video for my ??full thoughts.

Princes, plural

Man, Destiny. I seriously can't remember the last game that I felt so ambivalent about, but was? so?? completely hooked on. Here's me and Bill dicking around on the Moon and discussing our general thoughts on the game, and killing the Moon-Princes with a big dumb sword.

Is it a "Let's Play?" I don't know. But we?'re enjoying ourselves, and maybe you'll enjoy watching our enjoyment.

Monday is the worst day of the week, so Bill and I are coping with it by drinking blueberry smoothies and talking about wonderful things like superhero nonsense from Comic-Con, Mass Effect's exciting new (old) sharkmobile, Trine 2's awful poetry, Destiny's two unoriginal races, and True Detective, ?which Bill doesn't? like, and therefore isn't allowed to have blueberry smoothies anymore.

Also, it has been determined that it is a silly game.

As we recently learned, Sunset Overdrive lets players protect their genitals with the head of a green kangaroo, which is a very silly idea. But is that silly enough, in this post-Saints Row world? The answer is "who cares?" because there are also Hawa?iian Shirts and Hawaiian Shirts are my jam.

One of my favorite parts of Pokémon Black & White was the ability to haze your magical pets by dressing them up and having them perform musical theatre, so putting Pikachu in drag in Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby sounds awesome to me. For whatever reason, AOL accidentally let the cat out of the bag about Tekken 7, which is going to be running on Unreal Engine 4, and now we have a big ol' trailer for the game. Meanwhile, in a different game about guys with dumb hair hitting each other, Raiden has been revealed for Mortal Kombat X, a??nd he seems to have a very loose understanding of what thunder can and can'??t block out.

Lemme ride them big lizards

I've liked just about everything I've seen from Dragon Age: Inquisition, which is weird, because historically I've basically avoided the series. Here is literally everything I knew about the previous Dragon Age games going into my Inquisition hands-on:

• They are fantasy RPGs developed by BioWare
• The first game was called "Origins," which is so redundant it's actually confusing. I spent a year or two thinking it was a prequel to another game.
• The second game reused a bunch of dungeons.
• You can do totally horny sex stuff. Er, I mean, there are "romance scenes."
• An early episode of The Destructoid Show with "Dragon Age Blowjobs" in the video title is the single highest viewed video on our channel.
• There's a character named Morrigan, who seems a lot less fun than the other Morrigan.

The pre-order bonuses for Alien: Isolation have been announced, and they're really, really cool... but should we take it at some kind of sign? After all, it w?as a very similar lust for bonuses that led to the crew of The Nostromo investigating the distress signal coming from LV-426, in the process granting passage to the film's titular nightmarish stowaway.

The King of The Monsters is stomping his big dumb lizard feet all over the Playstation 3 this winter, but only in Japan. Bandai Namco hasn't really given us much else to go on for this game. Will it come out in the west? No idea, but the recent Godzilla movie from Legendary Pictures did pretty well, so who kn?ows.
