The PlayStation Plus lineup for June 2018 has been revealed and it actually has some pretty solid stuff for PS4. On the current-gen front, you'll be getting XCOM 2 and Trials Fusion. PS3, on the other hand, gets only a single title and it isn't even good. Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is certainly better than Wildlands, but it is a very restrictive and scripted "stealth" game with overblown action and asinine set-pieces that throw realism straight out the window. It hardly deserves the "Tom Clancy" monike?r and isn't really worth much of a look in 2018.

As for Vita, you'll be getting two games that I don't really know much about. Destructoid gave Atomic Ninjas a 5.5, but I've never even heard of Squares. It seems all right, I suppose. You'll be able to nab these titles next Wednesday when the PlayStation store updates. That means you'll have until June 6 to nab this month's lineup.

Coincides with first DLC on platform

From the book of "better late than never," Ubisoft have released a Season Pass for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier on PC along with the arrival of the game's first piece of  DLC entitled, Arctic Strike.

The Season Pass will cost £19.99/$24.99 on Steam and will give you access to Arctic Strike DLC which consists of new multiplayer maps, a new mode, and new weaponry. You'll also get access to all forthcoming PC DLC which presumably include the Khyber Strike pack that's already available on consoles. (Arctic Strike can be purc??hased separately for £?;7.99/$9.99.)

Launching a Season Pass this late after a game's launch is either a really bad idea or a really good idea. Is anyone still playing GR:FS this long after launch? Then again, at least PC players have had a chance to play the main game and de??cide ??whether they want to play some DLC and the season pass can save them £7.99/£9.99 in the long run.

Well, here's the first in what I can only assume will be a long series of DLC for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. The "Arctic Strike" pack is out today and includes three?? new multiplayer maps, a new Guerrilla co-op level, the "Stockade" multiplayer mode, six new weapons, added achievements, and a raise in the level cap of ten.

The name "Arctic Strike" is sort of misleading here, because you'd assume most (or all) of these levels would have something to do with snow. It turns out that only the Guerilla map is the snow level. Oh well, I'm down with any snow level at all, as I really am a sucker for them. Having said that, the other multiplayer maps are still a welcome addition, especially since what was already on the disc didn't feel like much. And for 800 Microsoft Points ($9.99 for PSN users), "Arctic Strike" seems like a great deal if you've been clamoring for more Future Soldier.

It's finally here, guys. After what feels like an eternity (or just five years, depending on how you look at it), a proper new Ghost Recon title will be in our hands come tomorrow. Are you as excited as I am? Well, if you happen to not be, just check out the new trailer that shows off all the crazy new tech in Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.

The active camo, drones, sensor grenades, guns, and the one and only Warhound are shown off extensively amidst a bunch of exciting gameplay scenes. The best part has to be the first five seconds of the video; a guy in an astronaut suit exits some sort of satellite or spaceship and falls towards Earth. What was that about? I absolutely can't wait to find out.

Ubisoft recently put out a video walkthrough of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier's multiplayer featuring Red Storm's Creative Director Tommy Jacob as the narrator. Tommy was kind enough to explain all the nuances that can be found in the multiplayer of the way overdue next entry in the Ghost Recon series. It appears the wait was definitely w?orth it ??though.

I will say that I don't like the new Dead Space-esque coordinate system that shows you the quickest way to your next objective via a line on the ground, but I suppose it makes sense in the futuristic setting. All the vari??ous class perks and the new confident system get fully explained as well, which is nice and everything, but the b?est part was the non-lethal stun mines.

You place one of these on a wall or ground somewhere, and when the enemy walks by it they become? helpless on the ground, opening up the opportunity for you to hack their intel and see where their buddies are. That's pretty much the most embarrassing thing that could ever happen to someone. I want to stun mine ALL the things!

I can remember playing Ghost Recon 2's multiplayer for hours and hours. GRAW 1 and 2 both had amazing single player campaigns, but Ghost Recon's multiplayer always had a bigger draw for me. So, you can imagine the anticipation I've been having for Future Soldier's multiplayer component for quite awhile now. The constant dela??ys had me pretty worried there.

After watching this new multiplayer trailer, I have faith that it will live up to my expectations. The trailer does come off as way more action-oriented than past entries, but the tactical aspect that one would expect from a Ghost Recon title is definitely there. In addition to the trailer, Ubisoft released a few screenshots for the "Pipeline" and "Mill" maps, so you're all ready to go for the multiplayer beta in a week. I know I can't wait.

The second episode of the three-part video series called "Believe in Ghosts" to help promote Ghost Recon: Future Soldier features former U.S. Navy SEAL sniper/scout Richard "Mack?" Machowicz. Now, I'm not doubting he's a badass or anything, but he said quite a few cheesy lines in this video. He could probably kill me in the blink of?? an eye, so I'll just leave it at that.

The video itself, however, is full of great info on why customizing your gear will be absolutely necessary in Future Soldier to give yourself the "??unfair advantage." Machowicz compared it to the recent mission where a group of SEALs had to enter Bin Laden's complex to take him down and how they were successful in doing that. If that's not interesting to you, then there's plenty of gameplay in there that should excite you.

Ubisoft once again tapped the Mega64 crew for a commercial deal, this time for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. I was a little taken aback by how straight the boys were playing this particular video. Didn't seem to have that ol' Mega64 je ne sais quoi.

Then I got to the 1:15 mark and was like, "Oh, okay, there we go!"

Ghost Recon: Future Solider? was in develop?ment limbo for quite some time before we finally got to see it again at E3 earlier this year. A few concerns had piled up -- people weren't very happy with the way Ubisoft Paris and Ubisoft Red Storm were handling Kinect and pacing.

Months later at gamescom, we've had a chance to sneak into a behind-closed-doors demo, have a look at the game, and talk to the lead game designer afterwards. We addressed the issues that I personally had with what we've seen, and talked about how they are handling enemy and friendly AI to balance the game fo?r single player and co-op gameplay.

As it's title would imply, Ghost Recon Future Soldier?? has been pretty stealthy about it?'s marketing thus far. So stealthy in fact, I kind of forgot it was coming. However, today's Multiplayer Walkthrough Trailer was a pretty good reminder.

Creative Director Tommy Jacob walks us through just a few features of the upcoming shooter focusing on the game's three pillars: combat, i??ntel, and teamwork. From the gameplay shown, it seems all three of those are fu?lly realized and that really has me excited. Everything from the way your camera responds to enemy suppressive fire to the games method of providing you with enemy intel looks to add a pretty neat spin to the modern Miltary shooter as we know it. Exciting stuff.

The beta for Ubisoft's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will start in January 2012, t??he publisher has announced tod?ay. It will be, as you'd expect, for the multiplayer portion of the game.

Future Soldier seems to be reaching Duke Nukem Forever status, with its release being pushed back repeatedly over the years. Originally, a beta for the game was supposed to hit this summer; seeing as?? how the game won't release until sometime in 2012, this new January date makes more sense.

Folks who purchased Splinter Cell: Conviction -- you know, the game that came out over a year ago? -- can participate in the beta. Ubisoft says you'll need that game disc, so I hope you haven't traded it in or used it to make a lamp or something.

This is the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier trailer that Ubisoft showed in their E3 press conference. Shoot enemies through certain materials, scout using the portable drone, use timed explosives, kill using melee attacks, and coordinate a?ll o??f that with your team-members.

Although this is all CG, the gameplay that was shown at the press conference looked about what you'd expect from a "future" update to the GRAW series. It wasn't really mindblowing, but it looked like a fun game to play with a couple of tactical-minded shooter friends. And it has Kinect support, which makes me wonder how that will work if the Kinect microphone will also pick up ?your online banter.
