Unloading inventory yet again

No need to wait for the holidays for a PlayStation 4 deal. If you're eyeing a machine for some big upcoming titles, there are two decent PS4 bundle offers on eBay this week. Your choice in deal-grabbing involves a $50 d??iscount, or a $60 bonus.

Two retailers, NewEgg and Techoutlet, are unloading PS4 bundles on their respective eBay storefronts with holiday-like values. Techoutlet has the $50 discount, slashing the Uncharted collection bundle to a mere $299 (Black Friday-level pricing). NewEgg on the other hand is pawning off the Black Ops III bundle for $350 plus a free copy of Far Cry Primal (~$60 value).

• PS4 Call of Duty: Black Ops III Bundle + Far Cry Pr??imal — $349.99  (Value: $410)
• PS4 Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Bundle — $299.99  (list price: $350)

Both of these bundles ship free in the continental US and have sales tax charged in only a handful of states. NewEgg's PS4 bund?le only carries tax in CA, IN, NJ, and TN. Techoutlet's $299 PS4 sales tax covers a few more states: CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KY, MA, NV, NJ, NY, NC, PA, TN, TX, UT, and WA (18 / 50 for those counting).

There are a limited-quantity available, but there doesn't appear to be a danger of either selling out today. NewEgg's Black Ops + Far Cry Primal bundle has a total of 1,000 available and has only sold 114 since going live this morning at 8:00am Pacific. Techoutlet's bundle has a total of 2,000 available at that price and has only sold 184?? at the time of writing.

A second patch for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is bringing "various visual improvements."

What, exactly, is being visually improved isn't detailed, but the patch will also bring "adjusted trophy requirements, adjusted forw??ard movement sensitivity, improvements to package installation, stability?? improvements and updated credits." For some reason.

The 1.04GB patch is rolling out n??ow. If you've updated, let us know what you think of those "various visual improvements!"

Including the guitar controller

We know Black Friday is around the corner, but retailers are trying their darnedest to bundle console offerings to offload inventory. Some are better than others. This PS4 One in particular is decent.

Over at Antonline's eBay outlet, they're selling a PS4 with Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Guitar Hero Live (including the guitar controller) for only $370. That's a savings of $80, provided you want Guitar Hero Live... if not, offload it for $70-$80 to a friend and you'll have yourself ??a PS4 for under $300.

Now the big money question is this: will you be seeing under $300 PS4s this holiday season? Unlike the Xbox On?e, we don't think this is very likely, and if such deals are available, they will probably be in supremely limited quantity (online or off). Snagging a unit will require a Satanic ritual, sacrificing your neighborhood deals robot.

Meh to that, we say.

FYI: Shipping is free and sales tax is imposed in California and Georgia. Antonline is an authorized Sony retailer, so this comes with a full warranty.

Why is the 1TB PS4 not sold in the US?

With Uncharted 4 pushed into 2016, the Nathan Drake Collection needs to prop up as pulp adventure tent poles. Sony would have you think these beams are appropriate substitutes, going so far as to bundle a (500GB, since Sony doesn't want to sell the 1TB PS4 in America yet?) PS4 with the Nathan Drake Collection. 

The latter includes the single-players modes from the first three Uncharted games (hey, the multiplayer was kind of fun!) and sweeps that Vita game under the rug. I assume they are download codes, and not a disc, so that you can start filling that hard drive immediately. The ?$400 bundle launches with the game on October 9.

Aww, they grow up so fast, don't they? I mean,? one day little Nate's lifting his first ring, the next he's tearing down ancie?nt ruins in search of treasure. Precious moments. Hold onto them. Cherish them forever.

Of course, plenty of people have already seen Nathan Drake's formative transitional years, but they'll get another opportunity to experience them. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection launches on October 9 for? everyone to relive the havoc Nathan's caused at all corners of the earth. He'll look a little more handsom??e this time, too.

'Handful of stickers'

Sony has revealed its special edition set for Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection in Europe, and it's pretty meh. It comes ??with a 48-page Art of Uncharted Book, a stee??l case, and "a handful of stickers." Haha, stickers.

Of course, the actual games will be included as well, with 1080p visuals and 60fps, as well as "exclusive access" to the Uncharted 4&n??bsp;multiplayer beta. It will launch on October 7 in Europe (October 9 in the ??UK specifically).

I don't think I'll be getting this, as the only Uncharted game I really like is the second.

That helicopter never stood a chance

Much like Kratos' continued penchant for yelling at every opportunity, it's nice to see that ?reckless destruction doesn't just stop following Nathan Drake now that he's moved to PlayStation 4. A visit by him is a guaranteed way to raise the body count and lower the property value.

At least, that's how one-third of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will go, judging by this Uncharted 2: Among Thieves video. The more things change, the more they stay the same. But, you'll get to learn that first-hand when a demo releases later this summer.
