Kuva Lich and Sisters of Parvos weapons are some of the strongest weapons in Warframe, but with Warframe: 1999, a new cl?ass of weapon is being added: Infested weapons. These come to us by way of a new advers??ary system: the Technocyte Coda.

There's a ton of content in Waframe: 1999, and a new Prime is on the way, but keep reading to learn what the Technocyte Coda are, how the system will work, and what Infested weaponry you can look forward to playing with when Warframe: 1999 releases later this year.

What are the Technocyte Coda in Warframe?

The Technocyte Coda are Warframe's latest adversary system that are Infested versions of Kuva Liches or Sisters of Parvos. Technocyte Coda are based on On-lyne, a 1999-era boyband in the Warfarme universe. On-lyne is made up of Zeke, Drillbit, Harddrive, DJ RoM, and Packet.

Instead of fighting Liches or Sisters, you'll be chasing Technocyte Coda 'band members' across your star map. However, the Technocyte Coda adversary system doesn't just have a new aesthetic and new weapons to unlock ??and upgrade, the system itself has some major upgrades.

How do Technocyte Coda work in Warframe?

Like always, you can't be targeted by a Sister or Lich to chase after a Technocyte Coda. To find a Technocyte Coda, you'll have to defeat Infested enemies in Warframe: 1999 content, which?? have a chance to dr?op a unique item on death.

Then, you'll bring the i?tem to a nearby computer terminal, where you'll complete a hacking puzzle. Once the puzzle is completed, the process will continue after you extr?act from your mission, much like how it works once you capture a Kuva Lich or Sister of Parvos.

Once extracted, you'll be able to see your particular Techn??ocyte Coda and any relevant customization in a splash screen, while your Technocyte Coda will rob you of? certain resources at the end of missions until you defeat them, like a Sister of Parvos or Kuva Lich does.

You can face off with your Technocyte Coda in any Warframe: 1999 mission, and once you damage i??t enough, it'll become vulnerable to a Parazon attack. However, you will need a new set of Antivirus Parazon mods to use when fighting Technocyte Coda.

Antivirus mods are acquired in a 'specialized bounty mission' and are themed around 1999-era antivirus companies. After you damage your Technocyte Coda enough and figure out t?he correct order of Parazon Antivirus mods, you'll finish off the?? process with a Railjack mission.

Like with Sisters or Liche??s, you can either vanquish a Technocyte Coda, or you can convert it for trading. The big change with this system comes down to how you acquire certain weapons. Unlike Liches and Sisters, Technocyte Coda aren't attached to spec??ific weapons.

How Technocyte Coda are different from Liches and Sisters in Warframe

Instead of being able to see an attached weapon before you start your Technocyte Coda process, vanquishing Technocyte Coda will award you with currency that ?you can then sp??end on an Infested weapon of your choice at a vendor with a rotating selection of weapons.

It's currently unclear how much currency vanquishing a Technocyte Coda will award you as well as what the prices of Infested weapons ?will be. Digital Extremes notes that the rotation will be similar to Ergo Glast's Tenet Weapons, and that system works as follows:

• Five weapons are available
• Rotation changes every four days
• Only one purchase of a weapon is allowed per rotation
• Weapons have random progenitor bonuses and increases

If the new vendor works exactly like Ergo Glast, you can expect fully upgrading Infested weaponry to take a lot longer than it would with Kuva or Tenet weapons. However, Digital Extremes has said the Technocyte Coda Vendor will be "similar" to Ergo Glast, so there may be changes.

What Infested weapons will be available in Warframe: 1999?

When Warframe: 1999 launches, 10 Infested weapons will be available. These are upgraded versions of pre-existing Warframe weaponry, though we don't have their stat?s ?just yet:

Primaries:

• Hema
• Sporothrix
• Synapse

Secondaries:

• Catabolyst
• Pox
• Tysis

Melees:

• Caustacyst
• Hirudo
• Mire
• Pathocyst

Digital Extremes also promises that three all-new Infe?sted weapons will be added, but we currently don't have any details?? on what those weapons will be or how they'll perform.

Xaku Prime, the next Prime to be added to the ever-growing list in Warframe, will be playable much sooner than expected. As we ramp up for 1999, we have one more to get before its launch.

That being said, since we know Xaku Pr??ime is coming out, what is coming alongside them, and what other tidbits of information should you know?

When does Xaku Prime release in Warframe?

Xaku Prime will be released on November 13, 2024. They will be obtainable in-game via the Relic system, by purchasing parts from other players ?who farmed, or by buying Prime Access.

If you want to obtain Xaku Prime right away but don’t want to buy Prime Access, start stocking up on Platinum now so? you can trade it with others who obtain the parts on day one. Just note that prices will be inflated?!

Crafting components will not be known until release day, so che??ck back once we know more.

What weapons will come with Xaku Prime?

Xaku Prime’s weapons will be the Quassus Prime and Trumna Prime.

The Quassus Prime may rival the po??wer of the meta Gunsen Prime. Its base version already sports very strong critical stats with decent status. In terms of where it currentl?y is in the meta, it’s already up there alongside other Prime melee weapons. The new stats the Prime variant will have is to be determined.

As for the Trumna Prime, we already know it will be a beast of an explosive LMG. Since it has strong stats ove?rall with innate Heat damage, the Prime is only going to increase all that even further, defining power ?creep.

Xaku Prime cosmetics

If you purchase the Prime Accessories version of the Xaku Prime Access, you’ll get the Artifex Prime Syandana and Necra Prime Operator suit. These can only be obtained by purchasing the pack; they cannot be obtained via far??ming in-game.

Along with buying th??is pack, you’ll also get a 90-day affinity and resource booster.

If you want to summon a Sister of Parvos in Warframe, then chances are you're going to need to use the Xoris to help you do it. Here's everything you need t??o know about obtaining one.

Where to get the Xoris in Warframe

The Xoris is a Corpus-created Glaive that is quite powerful in its own right, but the main use for it is to help you conquer the Granum Void; a requirement for summoning a Sister of Parvos. Unlike mos??t base weapons in Warframe, you cannot outright purchase Blueprint or any of its components, at least not initially.

To get these, you must dive into the Deadlock Protocol questline, which will take you through the Granum Void for various story-related reasons. Most importantly, you will end up building the Xoris during the questline and will have to use it during too. The Deadlock Protocol can be accessed from your Codex.

Once you've built a Xoris and completed The Deadlock Protocol?? questline, you can purchase additional Blueprints and parts from Cephalon Simari??s, located at any normal relay, in case you ever need to build it again.

What does the Xoris do in Warframe?

As already mentioned, the Xoris is a Glaive and can be used for both close-range slashing and long-range explosive attacks when thrown, allowing you to adapt to different en?emy types and situations. Its base damage is evenly split between Slash, Puncture, and Impact, providing balanced performance against differe??nt enemy armor types. This is useful for building it against certain enemies.

The Xoris' has two special abilities, the first lying in its infinite combo duration when used with a fully charged throw. Unlike other melee weapons, the Xoris�combo counter doesn't decay, making it ideal for maintaining high damage output over extended fights. Additionally, it can be used to enhance abilities that scale with the combo counter, such as certain Warframe abilities like those of Khora, Valkyr, or Atlas, adding versatility beyond just melee combat.

The other ability is its extreme effectiveness against Errant Specters, common enemies you will encounter while in the Granum Void. The reason you want to use the Xoris in the Granum Void is because it will destroy an Errant Specter in a single throw. This is highly valuable when attempting to summon a Sister of Parvo, as you need to reach the first rank of rewards in a Zenith Granum Crown Void challenge in order to do so. Reaching the first rank requires killing a number of enemies in the Granum Void within a short amount of time, increasing the value?? of the Xoris in these encounters.

In Warframe, the Drifter is the Operator's counterpart, and while the Drifter can be used anywhere your Operator can, the Drifter has a ton of extra functionality in Duviri. Much like the Operator's Focus Schools, the Dri?fter has its own upgrade system in Duviri, Drifter I??ntrinsics.

What are Drifter Intrinsics in Warframe?

Drifter Intrinsics are skill points for the Drifter. You can spend Drifter Intrinsics on four different categories of upgrades to make the Drifter more powerful in Duviri: Combat, Riding, Opportunity, and Endurance. Although, some upg?rades will work outside of Du?viri.

In general, though, the ?four categories of upgrades do the following:

• Combat: Upgrades for the Drifter in combat
• Riding: Upgrades for riding Kaithe
• Opportunity: More options of weapons and Warframes in the Circuit
• Endurance: Upgrades for the Drifter's survivability and Warframes in the Circuit

T??he vast majority of Intrinsics will only work in Duviri, and many Intrinsics will only apply in open-world Duviri content, not in the Circuit. However, this is not a hard-and-fa??????????????????????????st rule.

How to unlock Drifter Intrinsics in Warframe

Unlike Railjack Intrinsics that are more like XP, Drifter Intrinsics are earned through decrees and completing various activities in Duviri, both in the Circuit and in the open-world.

When you complete a side objective in open-world Duviri, finish a wave in the Circuit, or do one of the main objectives in open-world Duviri, you'll be rewarded with three Intrinsics ??each time. When you finish the Undercroft in open-world Duviri, you'll earn yourself six Intrinsics.

Finding a Lost Islands of Duviri Fragment will net you five Intrinsics, while defeating the final boss of open-world Duviri, the Orowyrm, will ??net you 15 Intrinsics on normal and 22 Intrinsics in Steel Path. Simply killing enemies or playing content outside of Duviri wil??l not earn Intrinsics.

You need 255 Intrinsics to max out a category, so with four categories, you'll need a total of 1020 Intrinsics to fully upgrade ??the Drifter, Kaithe, and your frames in th?e Circuit.

What Drifter Intrinsics are the best in Warframe?

In general, the most useful category is Opportunity. On the other hand, the least useful category is Riding. However, all ca?tegories are worth leveling if you play Duviri.

Opportunity focuses on giving you more choice in the Circuit, and with better weapons and Warframes, you can last longer in the Circu?it and more quickly unlock Incarnon weapons. Riding makes traversing open-world Duviri easier, but you can also earn decrees that do the same thing.

The?re are also Intrinsics that apply outside of Duviri, which are definitely worth getting:

• Combat, Rank 9, Muscle Mass: Drifter and Operator deal 25% more damage
• Endurance, Rank 9, Tough As Old Boots: Regenerate +5 health/s as Drifter and Operator

Rank 9 in Riding will unlock Kaithe for use in other open-worlds, but the Archwing is just a lot quicker. Endurance and Combat can definit?ely be a big help when playing The Lone Story, where you don't earn many decrees, but otherwise, decrees can make you plenty? overpowered.

How to farm Drifter Intrinsics quickly in Warframe

As discussed above, playing any of Duviri's three modes can earn you Drifter Intrinsics, b??ut not all three modes are equal when it comes to farming up Drifter Intrinsic?s.

The Circuit is just about the worst place to go for Intrinsics. Not only is it quicker to earn Intrinsics in The Lone Story and The Duviri Experience, but the Circuit is unreliable. Most?? co-op partners quit after just a few waves, and you have to get lucky on your loadout to go far anyway.

The Lone Story is decent for farming Intrinsics, because with a competent te??am it can be done fairly quickly and earn you around ~50 Intrinsics per run, but it's not the best. If your teammates aren't pulling their weight, The Lone Story can take a while and not earn you much.

This all adds up to why The Duviri Experience is the absolute best place to farm Intrinsics.?? Yes, games can last for over an hour, but you can earn 100s of Intrinsics in a single game. All you have to is complete as many side objectives as you can before eventually finishing the main stages.

Without a Progenitor, you can never get your hands on some of Warframe's most powerful, destructive weapons. They can be tricky to pin down, but fortunately, I own? most of the weapons in question and can explain how you can find one of these tricky enemies.

Where to find a Progenitor in Warframe

To interact at all with Warframe's ??Nemesis (Kuva Lich/Sister) system, you must first turn a Progenitor into a Kuva Lich (Grineer) or Sister of Parvo (Corpus). This is done by 'killing' a Progenitor and stabbing him with yo??ur Parazon. The next time this Progenitor appears, he will have a name, a staple Element (based on the Warframe you used to kill it), and a serious attitude for you to adjust. More importantly, though, successfully killing this empowered Progenitor will yield a powerful weapon with bonus Elemental damage tied to the Element the Lich/Sister was.

Now, where exactly can you find a Progenitor to begin this process? Despite how?? difficult they seem to find, they are quite easy to cast out of the shadows. I'll break down the process for both the Grineer and Corpus.

Grineer Progenitor - Kuva Larvling

To spawn a Kuva Larvling, you must first have completed The War Within main quest. Afterward, any Grineer mission that spawns level 20 or higher enemies will have a chance to spawn a Kuva Larvling. During any normal Grineer mission, if your screen begins to flash, you must slay 10 enemies within one minute for a guaranteed appearance of a Kuva Larvling. I've found Capture Missions on the Grineer Asteroid tileset the easiest mission type for spawning Kuva Larvlings, as you will have a near-infinite source of enemies coming after you even after you've comple??ted the objective.

Once one has spawned for you, slay it and stab it with your Parazon to turn it into a Kuva Lich.

Corpus Progenitor - Candidate

Corpus Candidates are a bit more difficult to summon only because their requirements are a bit more strict. To spawn a Candidate, you must use a Zenith Granum Crown on any Corpus Ship mission and then reach Rank 1 rewards during the challenge. Kill the Corpus Treasurers that spawn to obtain Zenith Crowns. You must then use the Crown on a Gold Hand Tribute statue. Additionally, you must have completed The War Within and Call of the Temperstarii questlines before one can spawn for you.

If you've managed to get this far, then the process for dealing with a Candidate is the same as with the Kuva Larvling. Slay it and stab it with your Parazon to turn it into a Sister of Parvo.

What is a Progenitor Warframe?

The last piece of the puzzle is the Warframe you use to kill a Kuva Larvling or Candidate. As I mentioned, the Element the resulting Kuva Lich or Sister of Parvo will have depends entirely on which Warframe you used to slay it, thus a Progenitor Warframe. If you're looking for a specific element from one of the weapons a Lich or Sister drops, ensure to kill their premature forms with the correct Warframe.

• Heat - Chroma, Ember, Inaros, Jade, Kullervo, Nezha, Protea, Vauban, Wisp
• Electricity - Banshee, Caliban, Excalibur, Gyre, Limbo, Nova, Valkyr, Volt
• Cold - Frost, Gara, Hildryn, Koumei, Revenant, Styanax, Titania, Trinity
• Impact - Baruuk, Dante, Gauss, Grendel, Rhino, Sevaogth, Wukong, Zephyr
• Toxin - Atalas, Dagath, Ivara, Khora, Nekros, Nidus, Oberon, Saryn
• Magnetic - Citrine, Harrow, Hydroid, Lavos, Mag, Mesa, Xaku, Yareli
• Radiation - Ash, Equinox, Garuda, Loki, Mirage, Nyx, Octavia, Qorvex, Voruna

In Warframe, the Helminth is an infested being that lives in your Orbiter. You can use the Helminth to transfer the ability of a Warframe to a different Warframe, add new abilities unlocked a?t the Helminth to Warframes, Invigorate Warframes to make them stronger for a limited time, insert Archon Shards into Warframes, and combine Archon Shards to make more powerful Shards.

The Helminth is an incredibly powerful mechanic every Warframe player should use, but it isn't ?explained well and can be confusing. Read on for a breakdown of all the various Helminth systems as well as how to unlock your Helminth, how to upgrade it, and how to level it up efficiently.

How to unlock the Helminth in Warframe

The Helminth is located in the room in your Orbiter opposite to your personal quarters. The room itself becomes accessible when using Nidus, Nidus Prime, or a Warframe with a Helminth Cyst.

When using Nidus, you can enter the Helminth room and interact with the Helminth to receive a Helminth Cyst. Afterward, you can infect oth??er Warframes y??ou come into contact with during missions. A day after being infected, a Helminth Cyst will appear on a Warframe.

However, you can't actually use the Helminth, even if you can access its room, until you purchase a Helminth Segment for your Orbiter. You can purchase the segment from Son at the Necralisk on Deimos. You will need to be Mastery Rank 8 and Rank 3 with the Entrati.

The Helminth Segment costs 15,000 standing, and its crafting requirements are:

• 5 Purple Velocipod Tags
• 20 Adramal Alloy
• 5 Saturated Muscle Mass
• 15 Ganglion

After a 24-hour crafting time, you'll be directed to the Helminth room, a??nd you'll be given a chance to n?ame your Helminth. Then, you can start using it. However, to access Invigorations, Archon Shards, or to be able to upgrade Archon Shards, you'll need to upgrade your Helminth.

How to upgrade the Helminth in Warframe

There are thre?e different upgrades, by way of Orbiter segments, for the Helmint?h.

The Helminth Invigoration Segment allows you to Invigorate Warframes, which gives a Warframe temporary buffs that last for a week. You can purchase the segment from Son at the Necralisk on Deimos. You need to be Mastery Rank 8 and Rank 5 with the Entrati.

A Helminth Invigoration Segment costs 30,000 standing, and its crafting requirements are:

• 5 Vizier Predasite Tags
• 20 Tempered Bapholite
• 10 Pustulent Cognitive Nodules
• 15 Pustulite

The Helminth Archon Shard Segment allows you to socket Archon Shards into Warframes, which give Warframes powerful, permanent buffs. The Helminth Archon Shard Segment Blueprint is a reward for completing the Veilbreaker quest, and its crafting requirements are:

• 2 Entrati Lanthorn
• 10 Devolved Namalon
• 5 Sporulate Sacs
• 50 Thrax Prisms

The Helminth Coalescent Segment allows you to combine Archon Shards to create either more powerful versions of Shards or new types of Shards with different sets of buffs. You can purchase the segment from Bird 3 at Sanctum Anatomica on Deimos. You need to be Rank 2 with the Cavia.

A Helminth Coalesecent Segment costs 30,000 standing, and its crafting requirements are:

• 50 Stela
• 5 Echo Voca
• 5 Entrati Lanthorn
• 25 Necracoil

How to use the Helminth in Warframe

The Helminth's core mechanic is subsuming. Basically, you sacrifice a Warframe (a base variant, no??t a prime) to add one of its four abilities to the Helminth. ??Then, you can add that ability to other Warframes, overwriting one of their four abilities of your own choosing.

Once you subsume a frame to unlock an ability in the Helminth, that ability will be forever addable to other Warframes. However, only a specific ability on each Warframe is subsumable. This is done for balance reasons, and you can check the Wiki for the full list of subsumable abilities.

Keep in mind that a subsumed ability may work differently than the ability does normally on ?its original frame. For example, Rhino's Roar is a subsu?mable ability and a very popular one at that, but Roar boosts damage less when subsumed onto another Warframe versus on Rhino himself.

It's also worth noting that Augment Mods can be used on Warframes with the corresponding subsumed ability. So, Rhino's Piercing Roar?? mod can be installed on any frame that has Roar. However, some Augment Mods will?? have functionality specific to their original Warframe.

Aside from subsumed abilities, the Helminth has its own set of abilities you can add to frames, too. Some of the Helminth abilities are quite powerful, like Energized Munitions that makes your weapons only consume ammo every four shots instead of ev?ery shot while it's active.

However, yo??u can't do any of the above?? without the necessary resources.

How to feed the Helminth in Warframe

Regardless of whether you're Invigorating a Warframe, socketing in Archon Shards, or subsuming abilities, every Helminth action has a price. And you pay in Secretions.

There are seven different categories of Secretions made up of various resources from across the game. For example, the Oxides Secretion is made up of metal resources, like Alloy Plates. By feeding the Helminth these resources, your? Oxide Secretion fills up.

A Secretion can be filled up to a maximum of 100%. How much a particular resource fills up a Secretion depends on your Helminth's appetite. The more you feed your Helminth a particular resource, the less it will fill up its Secretion. So, you'll need to vary what you feed your?? Helminth.

However, if you give your Helminth some time after feeding it, feeding it that resource again will fill up your Secretio?n as normal. What your Helminth is hungry for is represented by arrows on that resource in the feeding menu. The Helminth can be hungry, not hungry, or neutral.

A green arrow means the Helminth is hungry for that resource, so you'll fill up your Secretion the maximum amount, ?while a red arrow means it's tired of something, and you'll fill up your Secretion a lot less. No arrow means your Helminth is neutral on the resource in question.

Lastly, the Sentient Secretion works differ??ently from the rest. You can feed your Helminth Sentient resources to restore its appetite for a particular resource. So, if you have a lot of one resource the Helminth is?? tired of, you can change its arrow from red to green by feeding it.

How to level the Helminth in Warframe

How many Warframes you can subsume, as well as what Helminth abilities you have access to, is determined by your Helminth's Metamorphosis rank. Essentially, this is the level of your Helminth. To even begin subsuming frames, you need to be at Metamorphosis Rank?? 1.

Leveling your Helminth is simple. By feeding it resources, subsuming Warframes, socketing in Archon Shards, or Invigorating frames, you'll get Metamorphosis XP. However, leveling your Helminth quickly is a mo?re difficult task, especially co??nsidering the resource costs of feeding it.

Invigorations give you tons of Metamorphosis XP, so even if you don't plan on using a particular frame, Invigorating is a great way to level up fast. You should also take care when feed?ing your Helminth not to waste your resources, which means wasting precious Metamorphosis XP.

A resource with a green arrow can fill up a Secretion by up to 30%, so feeding your Helminth a resource it's hungry for when the corresponding Secretion is already at 90% isn't very efficient. S??o, don't feel the need to keep your Secretion levels at 100%, just fill them?? up as you need to.

You also can remove a subsumed ability from a Warframe and then add a new one, which can be an effective way of spending your Secretions that in?? turn can be filled up again �both of which will give you Metamorphosis XP. Just be careful not to feed your Helminth resources you need.

As a word of caution, even when you're being efficient, the Helminth isn't something that most players can just reach the maximum level with in a few days. D??epending on how many frames you have to subsume as well as what resources you have, it can take a month o?r longer.

Warframe's last prime frame, Sevagoth, was released in late August, so it's likely we'll see another one before the year's out. (Probably somewhere around when Warframe: 1999 drops.) But who's coming next? Sevagoth marked a major change in the release cadence of prime frames, which has led many to speculate that Xaku Prime will be the next addition to Warframe.

People are still digesting the Koumei & the Five Fates update like the new frame or the tons of QOL added, but others are looking toward the future. Xaku would be the first non-binary prime Warframe, which would explain why Sevagoth changed how prime frames release. So, here's everything you need to know about Warframe's next prime frame.

Sevagoth changed how prime frames are added to Warframe

Since 2012, developer Digital Extremes has stuck to a Male-Male-Female-Female release cadence for prime Warframes. This, in part, explains why precisely when new frames get added to the game doesn't exac??tly predict the date their prime counterpart will come out.

However, Sevagoth, the last prime Warframe release??d, changed this cadence, making the sequence go Male-Male-Female-Male for the first time since the game's launch. It may not sound like a big deal, but changing a pattern that's been kept up for over a decade is worth some thought.

Here are all the Warframes released since 2023:

• Sevagoth Prime, Male, August 2024
• Protea Prime, Female, May 2024
• Gauss Prime, Male, January 2024
• Grendel Prime, Male, October 2023
• Wisp Prime, Female, July 2023

Digital Extremes hasn't elaborated on why this has changed, nor have they announced what's coming next, but that's nothing unusual. While there may not be an official explanation, there is an unofficial one: Digital Extremes is setting up Xaku to be Warframe's next prime frame.

Why Xaku could be Warframe's next prime frame

Canonically, Xaku is a non-binary Warframe, the first in Warframe history. What's more is that Xaku was the next Warframe introduced after Protea??, making 2024 about when you'd expect to see Xaku Prime released. However, a Male-Male-Female-Female release schedule complicates things.

It makes sense that Digital Extremes wouldn't want to release Xaku in a traditionally male or female slot. But with the release of Sevagoth Prime, the next Warframe could be either male or female, considering that the pattern's been broken, and thi??s makes it the perfect time to drop a Xaku Prime.

Although, since there aren't more non-binary frames just yet, as well as the fact that if Xaku is next there will only have been one female frame released from late 2023 through early 2025, the pattern would likely be reestablished after Xa??ku Prime, meaning the following release schedule:

Some members of the community point out that a release schedule like the above would mean Lavos getting the short end of the stick, since he released right after Xaku (and before Sevagoth), but if Digital Extremes doe?s plan to return things to normal after Xaku, this is the most likely order.

Why Xaku might not be Warframe's next prime frame

On the other side of things, some argue that Xaku's lore makes it impossible for them to get a p?rime version. Though this would be the first Warframe that didn't get a prime counterpart, Xaku's position in the?? lore is undoubtedly unique, particularly in terms of how they were created.

Instead of being created by the Orokin, Xaku was created after three Warframes lost in the Void fused together. So, Xaku isn't a traditional Warframe, if they'?re even a 'Warframe' in the traditional sense of the word when it comes to the lore, meaning a Xaku Prime might not make sense.

However, others have pointed out that another Warframe, Revenant, wasn't create??d by the Orokin either, but there's a Revenant Prime in the game. It would certainly be unusual if Xaku didn't get a prime counterpart, but the release of Sevagoth Prime is already a departur??e from the norm.

Ultimately, ?we'll have to wait and see what Digital Extr?emes does at the end of the year when we can reasonably expect the release of another prime frame, so keep your eyes peeled.

To start off, Digital Extremes has unveiled a new single from the 1999 soundtrack: The Call. You can listen directly on YouTube above, but you can also find the song on Spotify and Apple Music. The Call was originally heard during TennoCon 2024 where the community was quickly?? taken with it.

As you'll be able to hear, The Call is a very punky, very 90s track that takes a lot of inspiration from groups like Sonic Youth. This makes a lot of sense coming after On-lyne, another 1999 track from TennoC?on 2024, that feels similarly 90s, taking inspiration from boy b??ands like NSYNC.

Warframe's 1999 demo is now live in the game

Warframe's next big expansion, 1999, is set to radically expand the game in major ways with a new open-world environment, the city of Höl?lvania, a rideable motorcycle, Protoframe skins, infested liches, and so, so much more. And now, you can get a taste of that thanks to this demo.

According to Digital Extremes' announcement, the following is a??vailable t??o check out now:

• A section of Höllvania
• The rideable Atomicycle motorcycle vehicle
• A look at the new Scaldra faction of combatants
• A fresh take on the classic ‘Exterminationâ€?mission
• The Protokol Longsword Skin

If you want to unlock the Protokol Longsword Skin, you will have to complete the demo miss??ion, but remember, the demo is just a taste of what's to come, so don't expect a big grind or tons of content. To access the demo, interact with the new console?? at the front of your Orbiter.

You also will need to have completed the Awakening and Vor's Prize quests first. Although, ?these are very early quests, so chances are you've already completed them. If you're new to the game, though, and want to see what 1999 is all about, you won't ?have to get through much to try it out.

In Warframe, Focus Schools are Operator-bas?ed talent trees that provide significant buffs and additional mechanics to your s?tandard Warframe's playstyle. There are five different schools so here's a breakdown of all five, and how they benefit you to invest into.

All Five Focus Schools in Warframe

The five Focus Schools in Warframe are all tied directly to your Operator, and provide meaningful buffs to both your Operator and Warframe alike. These are Madurai, Naramon, Zenurik, Unairu, and Vazarin. While you can invest in all five, only one can be considered Active, and only the ?active School wil??l provide any benefits.

Madurai

The Madurai School is primarily focused on greatly empowering your Amps increasing their damage output and energy efficiency wh?ile allowing you to apply damage amplification buffs/debuffs to yourself and enemies around you. It is an offensive school meant for player?s interested in using their Operator as much as their Warframe, switching in and out of Warframe-to-Operator form like a dance.

The Key Focus nodes for Maduari are Inner Gaze, Eternal Gaze, Power Transfer, and Void Strike.

• Inner Gaze - Increase Energy for Amps and Void Beam
• Eternal Gaze - Increases Energy Regeneration for Amps and Void Beam
• Power Transfer - Increases Amp Critical Damage when swapping to Operator, and Casting Speed when swapping to Warframe
• Void Strike - Active ability that increases Damage by a percentage amount of the Energy consumed to use this ability

These four nodes highly emphasize the offensive-swap ga??meplay required to reap the benefits of Maduari and should be invested first and foremost.

Naramon

The Naramon School focuses heavily on improving the Offensive Melee and Mobility capabilities of both your Warframe and Operat??or while offering some light crowd control as side helping. The tree significantly improves Finisher Damage while also making Combos last longer. Active abilities focus on Mobility and Crowd Control. For players interested close-quarter combats, Naramon is absolutely the best choice.

The Key Focus nodes of Naramon are Opening Slam, Power Spike, Sling Stun, and Killer's Rush.

• Opening Slam - When performing a Slam attack, automatically swap to your Warframe and gain Double Combo generation
• Power Spike - Melee Combos now decay slowly while out-of-combat instead of all at once
• Sling Stun - Active ability that increases the width of your next Void Sling, and hitting an enemy with a Void Sling causes them to take more damage from Finishers
• Killer's Rush - Starting a Finisher with your Operator automatically swaps to your Warframe, and your Melee Critical Chance is increased

These nodes prioritiz??e improving your Melee damage and emphasize the focus on getting up and personal with your foes. As such, they should be your priority if you choose to Focus on the Naramon school.

Zenurik

The Zenurik School focuses almost entirely on granting you constant Energy Regeneration allowing you to use your Operator's and Warframe abilities as you please. As a Utility-based sc??hool, it is mean?t to be played secondary to your standard Warframe gameplay and provides significant Energy to nearby allies as well.

The Key Focus nodes of Zenurik are Energy Pulse, Wellspring, and Hardened Wellspring.

• Energy Pulse - Picking up Energy Orbs provides bonus Energy over time.
• Wellspring - Active ability that creates a conduit of Energy that restores Energy over time when passed through. Works for you and allies.
• Hardened Wellspring - Using Wellspring within an active Wellspring increases its size and improves Ability Strength for all that pass through it.

These nodes support the heavy focus on Energy that Zenurik offers its followers. If you're playing Warframes that want? to use their abilities often, consider Zenurik as your school of choice.

Unairu

The Unairu School focuses on improving your Defensive capabilities while also providing several extremely powerful abilities that can easily be used to cripple heavily armored or shielded foes. As a Utility-based school, Unairu's natural ability to deal with well-defended enemies allows fol??lowers of the tree to focus their weapons around other disciples rather than directly countering the enemies they face.

Warframe 1999 is a unique upcoming update that sort of ties back to the events of Digital Extremes' Dark Sector. Here's everything we know ??about it, including when it is slated to release.

When is Warframe 1999 going to be released?

While there is no strict date set for the Warframe 1999 update, we do know that it will be co??ming in Winter 2024, which will highly li??kely end up being sometime in December. The update is slated to be rather beefy thanks to the subject matter, but we'll let you know the details once more have been released.

Considered an 'expansion' by the developers, we got a sneak peek of the update during the Whispers in the Walls quest line. During this, players got to go back in time to the age of the very first Tenno, Hayden Tenno, who was, incidentally, the protagonist of Dark Sector. The segment was very short but gave a ?highly impactful preview for whats to come.

What is Warfarme 1999?

Warframe 1999 is an expansive update for Warframe that will contain a story quest relating to Dark Sector protagonist, Hayden Tenno. The '1999' portion relates to the year of the events of this questline, which is a massive jump back in time for players of Warframe.

Unlike the rest of Warframe, Warframe 1999 will feature dark urban streets and 'modern-sci-fi' features over the high-sci elements the rest of the game already offers. Weapons and enemies will also feature a 'modern' sci-fi twist, that is sure to bring a unique experience to Warframe players, long-time and new.

On October 16, all Warframe players will get to try out Warframe 1999 early with a demo that highlights what to expect from the expansion. Participating in the demo will, additionally, earn all players the Protokil Longsword skin as a free ??additional gift. Simply claim it from your mailbox onc?e you log in.

To access the demo, players will need to have minimally completed the Awakening and Vor's Prize questlines, which is effectively the game's tutorial. You do not need to have completed Whispers in the Wall or any other questline in Warframe to participate.

If you're looking to play the full version of Warframe 1999 on release, however, there are several main story quests you nee?d to have completed first and foremost.

Having access to an Archwing in open environments can ??massively save you transversal time in Warframe. Thus, getting an Archwing Launcher Segment should be a priority if you spend a lot of time planetside; here??'s how you can get one.

Where to get an Archwing Launcher Segment in Warframe

The Archwing Launcher Segment is an Orbiter modification that allows you to install an Archwing Launcher on your ship. This, as a result, will enable you to deploy your Archwing ?in open-field areas ?(Cambion Drift, Plains of Eidolon, and Orb Vallis). This is ridiculously useful for exploring those large areas, as moving on foot will waste a lot of your time.

That said, there are two ways you can obtain an Archwing Launcher Segment. The first and easiest is to buy it directly from the Warframe Market. It costs only 175 Platinum, and while Platinum is W??arframe's premium currency, you can earn it fairly easily by selling Void-related goods to other players. I recommend farming up a few rare items from Void Missions and then selling them off if you don't need them. Players are always looking for these trinkets (because of their rarity); thus there is always a decent-sized market for them.

The other method of obtaining an Archwing Launcher Segment is by joining a clan, researching it at the Tenno Lab, and then building it up from scratch. This method will take you considerably more time to complete, so I don't recommend going this route, especially if you're a solo ??player. If you insist, however, here are the required materials for research and crafting the component.

How to use the Archwing Launcher in Warframe

Once you've crafted/purchased an Archwing Launcher Segment and installed it on your Orbitor, you can access the Archwing Launcher. The Archwing Launcher is considered Gear in your inventory, so you'll need to first place it on your Gear Wheel before you can use it.

When it is on your Gear Wheel, head to any open-field map and cycle to the Archwing Launcher on the wheel. Doing so will automatically deploy our Archwing on the map. You can stay airborne indefinitely, and you have infinite uses for your Archwing Launcher. You can also fire your weapons while it is deployed but cannot use your Warframe's abilities at the same time. You can, however, ??make use of your Archwi?ng's abilities instead.

With the release of Warframe's Koumei & the Five Fates, several old and outdated weapons received brand new Incarnon forms, bringing them back into the limelight. If you're interested in these old favorites and want to pick them up for your use, here's how you c??an do so.

Every new Incarnon and how to get them in Warframe: Koumei & the Five Fates

In total, five new Incarnons were added with the update's release, and the weapons that received them have effectively been brought back into relevancy. Before I get into them, if you're not sure what an Incarnon weapon is, it is a system introduced into Warframe several update?s a??go designed to greatly empower old weapons so that they become viable once more.

Typically, when weapons receive Incarnon forms, they become some of the strongest weapons in the game, often gaining ??significant new mechanics on top of all the buffs that come with them. That s??aid, let's jump into which weapons received the polish this time around.

Dera (Base, Vandal)

Both the Base and Vandal versions of the Dera have become eligible for Incanron empowerment. The Incarnon form of the Dera allows it to fire high-powered beams and gain base access to Magnetic damage typing. Note that the Dera can still be used as a standard laser rifle, and to gain access to the beams, it needs to Incarnon Transform first.

Like all Incarnon weapons, you first need to build up its Incarnon Gauge before it can transform. This is done by scoring headshots with the base weapon. When you have enough Incarnon Gauge (it doesn't need to be full), pressing the Alternative Fire button will transform it.

Some key notes about the Dera's Incanron Form:

• Uses a separate magazine from the standard
• Beams grant increased Punch Through, Damage, Critical Chance, and Critical Multiplier
• Reduced Status Chance and Fire Rate
• Gains Magnetic Damage

To install the Incarnon on the Dera, you will need to use a Dera Incarnon Genesis, which is purchased for 120 Platninum from Cavalero in the Chrysalith. You will also need the followin??g mat?erials for the process:

• 20x Path Clamps
• 80x Eevani
• 70x Ueymag

Sybaris (Base, Prime, Dex)

All three obtainable versions of the Sybaris have received Incarnon empowerment for this update. The Incarnon form allows the Sybaris to fire in four-round bursts and gain access? to the Blast Status effect. To access this improved burst mode and the Blast Damage, the Sybaris needs to be in Incarnon Form after being charged up through headshots.

Key notes about the Incarnon Form:

• Uses a separate magazine from the standard
• Gains Blast Damage and Blast Status is guaranteed on Hit
• Increases Damage, Critical Multiplier, and Status Chance
• Reduces Critical Chance

To install the Incarnon transformation onto the Sybaris, you will need to use a Sybaris Incarnation Genesis, which can b??e purchased for 120 Platninum from Cavelero. You will also need the following materials for the process:

• 20x Path Clamps
• 150x Saggen Peral
• 70x Ueymag

Cestra

The Incarnon Form of the Cestra sidearm allows it to gradually increase its Critical Chance the longer it is fired, uninterrupted. Unlike the previous mentions Incarnons, it does not gain any new status effects. Even so, this mechanic is a massive boost to the Cestra's damage thanks to how Criticals scale in Warframe. To gain this mechanic, the Cestr??a must be in its Incarnon Form, which is charged up by landing headshots.

Key notes about the Incarnon Form:

• Uses a separate magazine from the standard
• Critical Chance is increased the longer it is fired
• Innately increases base Critical Chance, Critical Multiplier, Damage, and Status Chance
• Fire Rate is reduced

Installing the Incarnon Form onto the Cestra will require using a Cestra Incarnon Genesis, o??btained by purchasing it from Cavelero for 120 Platinum. You will also need the following materials?:

• 20x Pathos Clamps
• 150x Saggen Pearl
• 80x Kovnik

Sicarus (Base, Prime)

The Incarnon Form of the Sicarus (both types) allows the weapon's bullets to ricochet when fired. This ricochet is not random, as ??the ricochet will hit targets clo??se to the main one. To gain access to this, the Sicarus must be in its Incarnon Form, which is charged up by landing headshots.

Key notes about the Incarnon Form:

• Uses a separate magazine from the standard
• Bullets will ricochet to one additional target
• Ricochets have innate Punch Through
• Increased Damage, Critical Chance, and Critical Multiplier

Installing the Incarnon Form for the Sicarus will require usin?g a Sicarus Incarnon Genesis, purchased by Cavelero for 120 Platinum. Additionally, you will need the following materials:

• 20x Pathos Clamps
• 100x Nacreous Pebble
• 150x Aggristone

Okina (Base, Prime)

My personal favorite of the bunch, the Incarnon Form of the Okina (both versions), causes kills with the weapon to generate spectral daggers that seek out enemies, applying maximum Cold Status stacks to them. Since the Okina is a melee weapon, it does not rely on headshots to charge its Incarnon Gauge. Instead, you must reach a Melee Combo Multiplier of 6x to activate its Incarnon Form.

Key notes about the Incarnon Form:

• Kills create a single dagger that flies off toward an enemy
• One Dagger applies 10 Cold Stacks
• Daggers have an explosive radius, applying 1 Cold Stack to nearby enemies
• Incarnon Form lasts for 180 seconds

To apply the Incarnon Form to the Okina, you will need to use a Okina Incarnon Genesis, which is obtainable from Ca??velero for 120 Platinum. You will al??????????????????????????so need the following materials to complete the process:

• 20x Pathos Clmaps
• 20x Maw Fangs
• 80x Lamentus

How to unlock the Incarnon System in Warframe

In order to use any Incarnon weapon, you must unlock the ability to purchase them first. Unfortunately, this is not an easy task, as the Incarnon System was designed for veteran players ?first and foremost. The process of unloc??king requires several important criteria to be met.

• Complete The Duviari Paradox questline
• Complete the Angels of the Zariman questline
• Unlock The Steel Path

The easiest of this bunch is the completion of The Duviari Paradox because new players can choose to begin their life in Warframe from this q??uest. Simply following the questline and its objectives will allow you to complete this part pretty easily. The Duviari Paradox is also rather short.

The Angels of the Zariman, on the other hand, will require the completion of several major prerequisite questlines that lead directly into this one's story. The Angels of the Zariman is ?required because Cavelero is an NPC located on the Zariman itself, which means you cannot purchase from him if this questline is not finished.

Unlocking The Steel Path is by far the most difficult portion of the unlocking process, as it requires you to complete all of the main mission nodes on every planet in the Solar System. The Steel Path mode significantly boosts the difficulty of a majority of Warframe's missions, requiring you to have extremely solid builds, well-built gear (W??arframes and weapons), and a degree of skill to handle the mu?ch more powerful enemies present.

Warframe - Incarnon Evolutions, explained

All Incarnon weapons have access to an Incarnon Form, which allows them to transform into a much more powerful version of themselves for a limited time. However,? the power of Incarnon does not stop ??here, as all Incarnon weapons also have access to Evolutions to further boost their power.

Incarnon Evolutions give Incarnon weapons permanent buffs in their base and Incarnon forms. Most Incarnon weapons have four or five Evolutions available to them, with the first one always being the ability to use the Incarnon Form they have. Further Evolutions require you to complete weapon-specific challenges that allow them to Evolve into their next state. Success with one of these challenges will allow your Incarnon weapon to evolve, letting you select between one? to three perks to boost the weapon's power.

The Felerax Incarnon weapon, for example, requires you to complete? a Solo Mission with an ??Incarnon weapon in every gear slot to reach its fifth and final Evolution. As the final Evolution, the reward is the ability to pick between three different perks that dramatically boost the power of the Felerax.

How to build the Okina Incarnon in Warframe

Like any good weapon, you can build your Okina in various ways. This particular dual sai performs beauti??fully with a good Riven or some Smite mods, but this build is aimed at anybody who doesn't have the Platinum for all that. Rest assured, anyone can use the Okina.

The core concept here is using Melee Influence to spread status effects around, particularly electricity, which dovetails well with the Okina's ability to freeze nearby enemies and inflict cold status. Add some viral da??mage into the mix, as well as a ton? of crit, and that's all you'll need.

Best Okina Incarnon evolutions

The third and fourth perks are easy choices for this build, while you can opt for Synergist Surety as your second perk, which increases status dama??ge, but this build runs Galvanized Elementalist for a statu?s damage boost. Quickly racking up combos is important to activate your Incarnon, too.

Evolution II: Seeing Red (5 additional combos on tar??gets afflicted by slash)

Evolution III: Orokin Reach (+1 range)

Evolution IV: Alchemy of War (inc??rease status chance and duration)

Ho?wever, if you want to run an Okina with Riven or Bane mods, you'll likely prefer Synergist Surety for the extra damage. Nonetheless, expensive mods aren't necessary.

Best mods for Okina Incarnon

We're trying to maximize status chance and status damage with this build so we can spread status effects and status damage with Melee Influence when we proc electricity on enemies. Then, we scale our damage off of Condition Overload to take advantage of the statuses we inflict whi??le we use our combo Incarnon perk to maximize our critical power with Blood Rush.

Arcane: Melee Influence

Exilus: Discipline's Merit

Mods:

• Condition Overload
• Blood Rush
• Berserker Fury (can swap with Quickening)
• Galvanized Elementalist (can swap with Weeping Wounds)

This is a great general-purpose build that won't have trouble even in Netracells. However, if you wan?t to push it further with Smite mods or a Riven, switch Galvanized Elementalist to Weeping Wounds, add in Primed Reach, and swap Berse??rker Fury to Quickening for easier combos. Naturally, you'll be better off changing your second Incarnon perk to Synergist Surety if you go this route.

Caliban isn't new to Warframe, but since his introduction, he was widely considered one of the (if not the) worst characters in the game. That's all changed no??w, thank?s to a massive rework that's turned Caliban into an extremely powerful, top-tier Warframe in his own right.

The Koumei & the Five Fates update has brought with it tons of changes, not just to Caliban, but companions have been reworked on top of introducing a new Warframe, Koumei. If you want one of the strongest builds to come out of this update, though, keep re??ading.

The top Caliban build in Warframe post-rework

Caliban's ?kit can be co?nfusing, but we're targeting a simple playstyle packed with power. All you'll have to do is call in your summons, and then you're ready to start armor-stripping. Everything will quickly start dying around you, and you can dash into enemies whenever you need shields.

We're focusing primarily on strength here alon??gside range and a little extra duration at the cost of efficiency, which won't be much of a problem with Arcane Energize, Streamline, and Caliban's Razor Gyre ability that can generate energy as you dash into enemies.

Arcanes: Energize and Molt Augmented

Exilus: Cunning Drift

Mods:

• Primed Flow
• Primed Continuity
• Primed Redirection

You can swap out Primed Continuity for Continuity, but you'll struggle with energy economy without Primed F??low and end up rather squishy without Primed Redirection. Umbral Intensify can be swapped out with Intensify to save on mod capacity if you're low on Forma.

Nourish is quickly becoming a popular subsume on Caliban, but?? his kit already synergizes well, so this build won't rely on Helminth. Although, feel free to experiment. Either his first or second abilities are going to be the prime candidates for replacement if you do want to use a subsume.

Best Archon Shards for Caliban

Archon Shards aren't strictly necessary here, but they do make a big difference. As always, Tauforged Shards are pref??erable. Stacking even more strength just makes Caliban's summons more powerful, while casting speed massively improves the usability of his armor strip ability:

2 Amber Archon Shards: + Casting Speed

How to play Caliban in Warframe

Caliban has three different summons, including his Summulysts that have their own summons, but this build primarily uses the ranged Ortholyst summon for both damage and inflicting Tau status effects. Tau is a new s?tatus effect that makes enemies more vulnerable to further status effects.

There's no strict weapon requirement here, but you just need something capable of inflicting a? bunch of status effects. Considering the Tau effect will make statuses easier to in?flict, you can even build your weapons with less status chance and more statuses, since Tau will help you proc them.

To start, summon your Ortholysts, and resummon them as they expire. Then, use your Razor Gyre ability to dash into a group of enemies and max out your shields. Use your Sentient Wrath ground slam whenever you're in a pinch and need a breather. Last, use your Fusion Strike to armor-strip enemies before you quickly annihilate them, especially if they have the Tau status.

Most of the time, you'll be alternating between resummoning your minions and armor-stripping with the occasional dash to top up shields and ground slam to stun nearby enemies. Caliban's a tanky frame, especially with his passive, and thanks to Primed Redirection, you'll have tons of shields.

Koumei, the dice-maiden, is a Warframe that m?ay be a bit confusing to build. Her strengths lie in chance, but?? with the right setup with mods, subsume abilities, and Archon Shards, she can be the maiden of death.

Best Koumei build in Warframe

We’ll have two ??separate builds for Koumei since she can have multiple ways to play. 

Elliott’s build

In ??my build, we’re keeping Koumei very basic. Since all of her abilities have the built-in dice roll mechanic, I feel it’s best to not mess with that and let fate decide my mission outcome.

Here’s a mod setup to get started:

Auras: Corrosive Projection or Energy Siphon

Exilus: Primed Sure Footed or Cunning Drift

Mods

• Primed Continuity
• Overextended
• Stretch
• Augur Reach
• Rolling Guard
• Constitution
• Augur Message
• Streamline

With this mod setup, you’re focusing heavily on duration and range, with some emphasis on efficiency. You’re sacrificing a lot of strength here, but that’s okay. There’s more utility in Koumei’s ab?ilities that scale much better than dealing a bit more damage. It’s a fair tradeoff.

Best Archon Shards for Koumei

Since we are not using a Subsume abili??ty with Koumei, we can go directly to her Archon Shard setup. Use the following setup to further increase her abilities:

• 1 Amber Shard: + Casting Speed
• 4 Crimson Shards: + Ability Duration 

  • Use the Tauforged ones if possible!

Koumei playstyle

Since Koumei won’t have a lot of damage output here, you will want to focus more on general weapon play. Her Kumihimo and Bunraku abilities will stack status effects for you, which will be the perfect primers for weapons equipped with Galvanized Aptitude, Galvanized Shot, or Condition Overload.

Additionally, her Omikuji is here more for the Decree and dice-rolling aspect. You’ll be using that constantly for endurance runs since they stack infinitely. You m?ay get a few bad rolls along the way, but that’s negligible. 

And for survivability, the Omamori will keep you alive. Even with bad rolls, that’s where Rolling Guard (no pun intended) will pick up the slack. 

With Arcane Energize, this will encourage you to spam her abilities more, getting more dice rolls and priming more enemies with status effects. Use the other two abilities as soon as you c??an? once they are off cooldown.

Koumei is all about chance, crowd control, and status afflictions in thi?s build. She can soften up her foes and deal tons more with properly-built weapons.

Ruben’s build

In my build, we're turning Koumei into a weapons platform. The most unique element of her kit is her decree-stacking Omikuji ability, and the plan here is to mow down enemi?es with your we?apons while working on building up decrees.

Arcanes: Energize and Acceleration

Aura: Brief Respite

Exilus: ?Primed Sure Footed, Sur?e Footed, or Cunning Drift

Mods:

• Archon Continuity (or Primed Continuity)

In this setup, you're focusing primarily on duration, with some range thrown in for good measure. Koumei doesn't scale well with strength, and consideri??ng we'll be running both Equilibrium as well as Arcane Energize, efficiency isn't a must-have either, although it certainly can work here.

Best Koumei Helminth ability

Energized Munitions is a g??reat fit for a weapons platform build, especially when coupled with Arcane Acceler??ation, which will tear through your ammo like there's no tomorrow. Plus, considering the fairly short duration of Energized Munitions, it's a great way to keep your shields up.

However, if your? weapon of choice doesn't need Energized Munitions, you can always consider adding in Eclipse for extra survivability when the situation calls for it. Eclipse's damage reduction works well in duration-focused builds like thi?s one. And it can free up your Adaptation mod slot.

Best Koumei Archon Shards

The?se aren't strictly necessary, but there's some nice quality-of-life to be had with Archon Shards here. Of course, Tauforged is best, but once?? again, it is not strictly necessary.

• 2 Amber Archon Shards: + Casting Speed
• 1 Amber Archon Shard: + Spawn Energy
• 2 Emerald Archon Shards: + Corrosive Stacks

If you don't have Primed Flow?? but do have some spare Azure Archon Shards, extra energy is great to have. Parkour speed from Amber Shards is also a nice bonus.

How to play Koumei

The most important part of a weapons platform build is, well, your weapons. You can use just about anything you'd like, aside from shotguns that don't work with Arcane Acceleration, but you'll need Galvanized Aptitude, Galvanized Shot, or Condition Overload to take advantage of the status effects Koumei inflicts with her passive and her Bunraku ability.

Cast your Omamori ability to start, refreshing it as needed for survivability. Then, you'll cast Bunraku to inflict statuses for your weapons to scale off. Pop Energized Munitions regularly to make sure you don't run out of ammo and reset your shields. In between inflicting statuses and mowing down enemies, cast Omikuji to stack up decrees through challenges.

This is an ability-heavy build, but thanks to Arcane Energize and Equilibrium, as well as an Amber Archon Shard to give you some starting energy, you shouldn't run out of energy too often. However, running the Zenurik Focus School is another way to make sure you have enough.

Koumei is great for longer survival missions, or endurance runs thanks to her decree-stacking capabilities, but she can handle just about anything. Considering how often she uses abilities, her shields will regenerate constantly, while Adaptation and Omikuji also work to keep her alive.

Koumei, the Dice-Maiden, is the last new frame before 1999. She’s all about luck but can dominate the battlefield in terms of CC and support. If you’re looking at how to get Koumei in Warframe, here’s what you need to know.

How to get Koumei in Warframe

To get Koumei in Warframe, you must complete the new Shrine Defense mission and earn her as a mission reward or by collecting Fate Pearls. This mission is unlocked after talking to Saya about her Visions in C?etus. After the small cutscene, you can now visit Koumei’s Shrine in Cetus or via the S?tar Chart on Earth.

It’s a straightforward mission? where you must offer an initial item to the Shrine. After that, you have to defend one of the two points five times to summon the Infested Oni. Defeating it will conclude the mission.&nb??sp;

You will earn between 14 to 18 Fate Pearls on the normal difficulty and 20 to 24 on Steel Path. Additionally, all of Koumei’s parts have a 4.09% chance of dropping at the end of the mission. It’s low, but still possibl?e.

If luck is not on your side, you can accumulate enough Pearl?s to buy Koumei’s parts from the S?hrine on Cetus instead. These are the amounts you need for each:

Warframe's latest update, Koumei & the Five Fates, is here, and its centerpiece is the titular Koumei, the latest character added to th??e game. In the first days post-launch, though, the community isn't quite sure what to make of Koumei. Some argue she's too inconsistent, while others disagree.

Outside of the new character, though, Koumei & the Five Fates has brought tons of changes to the game, including a major rework to companions. If you don't know what to make of the ch???atter around Koumei, the best thing you can do is try a build of her out yourself.

Why is Koumei getting mixed reactions from the Warframe community?

Posts like this are emblematic of the Warframe community's thoughts on Koumei: Many are criticizing her kit and how she performs, but like the post above, if you dive into the comments you'll find many defending the character and arguing she is??n't a bad Warframe by any means.

So, what a?r??e the complaints? In large part, they boil down to a couple of key points:

• Her dice rolls hit the triple sixes necessary for an ability bonus too rarely
• The defensive Omamori ability is too inconsistent to depend on
• The cooldown for her decree-stacking Omikuji ability is too long
• Some challenges for earning decrees are too cumbersome, like getting wall-latch kills

Although, these issues are by no means univ??ersal. Other players argue in the opposite direction:

• A gambling-themed Warframe should only roll perfectly rarely
• Her Omamori ability doesn't need to be stronger with a proper shield-gating setup
• Decrees can be incredibly powerful, so awkward challenges and long cooldowns are necessary
• Koumei is an easy-to-acquire frame for new players, so it's important her power has limits

Ultimately, there's no clear answer to who's right here. While some gamers argue Koumei is?? outclassed by many other Warframes, particularly in Steel Path, others have successfully taken her to level-cap missions where she can hold her own against the strongest enem??ies in the game.

Possible buffs or changes for Koumei

Even those who don't have problems with Koumei are ha??ppy to speculate on possible buffs or changes to her kit, and as a result, tons of ideas are being thrown out there. Here are some of the most interesting proposals we saw popping up online.

• Adding in a damage buff to her weapons or abilities dependent on her dice rolls
• Introducing a 'pity system' for her dice rolls that guarantees a perfect roll after X rolls
• Rebalancing abilities, like her Omamori, to more effectively scale off her stats
• Simply reducing the duration of her cooldowns, particularly for her Omikuji ability

Keep in mind, though, that Koumei is a brand-new Warframe tha??t only launched, at the time of ??writing, a few days ago, so the community is still testing different builds. It's also entirely possible that in the coming weeks, Digital Extremes will make adjustments to Koumei's kit. Stay tuned.

Developer Digital Extremes revealed what changes are coming to Warframe’s companions as part of the Koumei & the Five Fates update, which is slated to arrive on October 2. Notably, big changes are coming to the Smeeta Kavat and its Charm m??od, a combination that makes the Smeeta one of the?? game’s most popular choices of companion.

The Koumei & the Five Fates update for Warframe has a major overhaul for companions in general, not just to the Smeeta. You can check out Digital Extremes�blog post to see the full list of changes, but a major focus ??of the rework is making companions more useful in combat.

Koumei & the Five Fates changes the Smeeta Kavat’s Charm mod

Before Koumei & the Five Fates, the Charm mod for the Smeeta Kavat had a 28% chance to give the player a random buff every 27 seconds. Of six possible buffs, the 'Doubled Pickups and Affinity' buff was by far the most popular, because not only ?would you double the XP you received, but you could also double the resources you acquired.

In Koumei & the Five Fates, the pickup buff?? is being removed from the Charm mod and being promoted to its own dedicated mod called Loyal Retriever, which is usable on beast companions and not just the Smeeta Kavat. Loyal Retriever will give you a passive 13% chance to double each resource or credit pickup, but it won't impact affinity or rare resources.

According to Digital Extremes, that 13% number is the statistical average of time the pickup buff on Charm would be active. With Loyal Retriever, t?hough, its buff will always be active,?? so you won’t need to luck into it being chosen from a list of buffs.

The Charm mod, going forward, will have a 40% chance (up from 28%) to gi??ve players a buff every 27 seconds, and the new list of buffs is as follows:

• 25% chance of Reinforced Shield
• 25% chance of Instant Reload (re-rolled if your current weapon doesn't need to reload)
• 20% chance of Free Ability Casts
• 10% chance of Bonus Critical Chance buff
• 10% chance of Bonus Affinity. (Affinity bonus has been increased to 3x)
• 10% chance of gaining a rare resource

If you’re looking to maximize your loot acquisition or get some extra X?P, you’ll still want to run Charm on your Smeeta, thanks to the rare resource and bonus affinity buffs, but if you just care about credits and more common resources, Loyal Retriever on any beast companion will work just fine. Keep in mind, though, that those Charm buffs only happen at a 10% chance every 27 seconds.

How to get the Loyal Retriever mod in Warframe

If you own a Smeeta Kavat when the Koumei & the Five Fates update goes live, you’ll get a copy of the Loyal Retriever mod for free. Otherwise, Digital Extremes notes that you can trad??e for one with Conservation tags from Earth’s Conservation vendor.

As a reminder, even though you’ll get a copy of the mod for free if you own a Smeeta already, the Loyal Retriever mod is usable on all beast companions,? not just the Smeeta.

Digital Extremes, the studio behind Warframe, is putting a whole lot of marketing effort in pushing the game's fancy new flagship content update. The upcoming Warframe: 1999 promises to push the game into an exciting new direction, and we're getting a demo to show it off?? in short order.

More specifically, Digital Extremes has just announced that Warframe: 1999 is due to receive a sizeable demo around mid-October. If that sounds like a repeat of something that might've happened already, you're not entirely wrong. The recent Lotus Eaters questline was kind-of-sort-of a prologue to 1999, though it turned out to be extremely short and unsatisfying in the end. We did get the AX-52, at least, but it's not like Warframe is lacking in the weapon department. So, the October demo is poised to deliver a tad more 1999 goodness, and it sure does sound fancy.

Warframe: 1999 demo is coming soon, featuring the Protokol Longsword

As per Digital Extremes' recent announcement, the new Warframe: 1999 de?mo is going to release on October 16, and it will deliver our first in-depth look at the DLC's offerings. We'll be getting all of the following content a?s part of this update:

• A (small) section of Höllvania, the city where Warframe: 1999 takes place.
• Rideable Atomicycle vehicle.
• Our first proper look at the new Scaldra faction of combatants.
• New take on the classic 'Extermination' mission.
• Protokol Longsword Skin

The only way to unlock the Protokol skin for our Longsword weapon class will be to complete the Warframe: 1999 demo in its entirety. A solid incentive if there ever was one, I'd say. This sword and the AX-52 will fit quite nicely with the rest of the Protokol weapons inspired by the old Dark Sector title, which I may or may not be a fan of.

Things are looking quite snazzy overall, then, and I've got to say I am quite fond of Warframe: 1999's new retro-futuristic aesthetic. Revisiting the '90s in what is, ostensibly, a retrofit of the Dark Sector storyline into Warframe's main narrative is something I've wanted for years now. In the interim, I quit playing Warframe and picked up Destiny 2 in its stead, which worked great until very recently. Now, with 1999 on the horizon, I see myself getting back into Warframe ev?en if only for a? little while, and even if only for the sake of nostalgia.

One thing's for sure: it's hard to argue against the fact that Digital Extremes is extremely keen on pushing Warframe into all sorts of directions, both for the better and for the worse. Let's hope that 1999? ends up being every bit as promising as it looks.

Developer Digital Extremes has revealed some of the quality-of-life improvements coming to Warframe with its Koumei & the Five Fates update. Interestingly, there's a huge focus on streamlining the game for newcomers, something Warframe has seen? a lot of over the last c?ouple of months.

The Koumei & the Five Fates update for Warframe launches in late 2024 and brings with it a new Warframe for players to master, as well as additional story content to dig into. However, in a recent blog post, Digital Extremes showcased how this update will also make the game more approachable as a newcomer. The game has seen loads of people join after leaving Destiny 2 following Bungie's layoffs, so this update couldn't come at a better time.

Demystifying the basics

There are loads of quality-of-life changes in this update that I wish I had when I was first getting into Warframe, but it's good to know they'll be there for new players. For example, stats have been shifted from your starter Warframe to make things a bit less overwhelming when jumping into the experience as a fresh player. A few other things, such as opening hacking puzzles and the time to intubate your first Kubrow have had time reductions to get you into the game and help you understand?? it much faster.

There's also going to be much more guidance in the game. A good example of this is when you come to sell unmastered items. You'll soon be greeted by a popu??p?? that tells you it's better to hit Rank 30 with it before selling it so your Mastery Rank benefits as much as possible from your time played.

New abilities that you unlock will now have their input shown alongside their information on-screen when you first unlock them. I can't tell you how many times I've thought that it's great I ha??ve a new ability for a Warframe that I have no clue how to trigger.

What might be the best improvement, though, is Relic breakdowns. This is a small tab that'll appear when you hover over a Relic, displaying the owned and crafted status of their rewards. Relics are an abuse mechanic in Warframe, but they're essential to unlocking Prime Warframes without spending real-world cash, so they're a neces??s??ary evil. Soon, they'll just be a little less evil to work with.

It won't end with Koumei & the Five Fates either. Digital Extremes has explained that future updates will tackle other systems such as the Star Chart and understanding the order of main and side quests. Once you're into Warframe, these don't pose much of an issue at all, but they're definitely a barrier to entry that would be hard to push past without th??e game's incredibly helpful community on hand.

Every year, Warframe developer Digital Extremes puts on a fan conference for the game called Tennocon. Players worldw?ide congregate in London, Ontario, Canada, to celebrate the game, learn more about upcoming expansions and updates, and chang??e out together.

When I attended Tennocon 2024, I was amazed by the sheer amount of positivity and camaraderie a community can have. For example, players don't want to spoil anything for each other, so they hand out hints and offer every resource under the sun to help a fellow player navigate Warframe's 11 years of story content. The ?moment that showcased how positive and wholesome the Warframe community is, though, was when a couple got engaged at a photobooth, and the entire tent filled with developers, fans, press, a??nd content creators erupted with cheers, screams, and celebrated them.

The happy couple, who's in-game names are "ProfPangloss" and "truckshepard" clearly wanted to make Warframe a big part of this moment, and they wouldn't have done it at Tennocon if they didn't want the community involved too. Working with Digital Extremes, I caught up with the couple after their celebratory holiday that followed their engagement to find out what makes Warframe this important to them.

Destructoid: How did you go about ???planning the proposal at TennoCon 2024?

ProfPangloss: I came in with a loose?? idea of how it would go - I had gotten us both VIP badges for Tennocon this year so I figured it was a safe bet that we would find a relatively quiet moment to ourselves where I could say a few words and propose. That said, neither of us had been to Tennocon before so I knew I'd have to play it by ear. The VIP-only hour of TennoVIP on Friday turned out to be perfect, and as soon as we walked in I clocked the incredible Eros Wings prop/photo op and immediately r??ealized that's where it would have to be. After we put in our custom t-shirt orders and we had a few minutes of waiting around, I suggested we take a "photo" in front of the wings and that was that!

Huge thanks to the DE staff member who helped out by recording the moment under the guise of taking a photo of us, other than cluing him in at the last second there was nobody else involved and no planning. As an aside, one attendee did me a HUGE favor by holding onto the engagement ring briefly while?? I ran outside of the event to give truckshepard his badge because I was worried security would check me again (they did!) and reveal the ring. Kudos to that attendee, he was so game to help and ended up saving the plan.

Destructoid: For added context, Tennocon has VIP tickets that entitle holders to a host of selections, including a ??????????????????????????VIP-only hour in the VIP area. This was the Ventkids tent wh?ere there were freeplay arcade games, a custom t-shirt bar, Relic gacha machines, and the fated photobooth.

Why did you want to? get engaged at TennoC??on? What is it about that event that's so special to you?

ProfPangloss: Warframe is really special to both of us so the significance of doing it at an official event was really meaningful. I had planned to get VIP badges because I figured we would have access to some kind of VIP loung??e or similarly private space where I could propose which would be public-but-not-too-public. We had post-Tennocon plans to go spend the week relaxing with family out on the Massachusetts cape, so getting engaged at Tennocon then relaxing and celebrating on vacation afterwards just worked out so well.

Destructoid: Obviously, Warframe must mean a lot to both of you, could you tell me a bit about that? For example, did you meet through Warframe, is it a shared passion?

ProfPangloss: We have both been playing Warframe off-and-on for years - me since 2017 (Valkyr Prime was my first Prime Access) and truckshepard since 2018. We first met online in late 2019 in a Discord server completely unrelated to the game but the very first shared interest we discovered was Warframe.

Truckshepard: One of us was actually on a break from the game at the time, but soon after we met ProfPangloss reinstalled the game so we could share our fashion frames and orbiter decorations with each other. Even though we didn't end up playing much more Warframe together at the time, it was still an opportunity to chat and bond over the game. We st??arted dating online in late 2020 and all the new Deimos?? announcements were a hot topic between us.

Even when Warframe wa?sn't actively played in our household we've kept in touch with updates and been rooting for the game. Cross-save ??rollout was really the final thing we needed to get back in fully because it meant we could pick the game back up on our latest consoles rather than dust off our PS4 and Switch respectively. As of right now, one of us usually plays on the PC in the office while the other plays on Xbox in the living room.

In terms of what about Warframe attracts us both, we are just both so head over heels for the all-encapsulating Weirdness that has been core to Warframe's DNA since the beginning. The story, the lore, the world, the buck-wild gameplay surprises, there really just is no game quite like Warframe. More specifically for each of us, ProfPangloss is the really min-max minded buildcrafter who digs into the mechanics, I'm fully invested in the decoration and customization. It's a huge credit to DE that it has continued to appeal to such a wide breadth of player preferences, and it's a credit to the Warframe community that there are folks out there to support an?d encourage every aspect of it.

Also bullet jumping. No other game has gotten fun movement quite as right as Warframe, and yes I have played Spiderman for the PS4. We will keep coming back if only beca??use we may never have mor??e fun moving from point A to B in any other game.

Destructoid: Will your wedding be Warframe-themed?

ProfPangloss: This is a very fun and cute idea, but no we think we'll be going our way and having a broadly gay and colorful but otherwise themeless wedding sometime in October 2025. We would love to have a nod to Warframe somewhere in there though, truckshepard jus??t now suggested we should wear our pride pins from Tenn??ocon on our lapels. We'll see!

Destructoid: What is it about the community around the game that you en??joy so m??uch that you wanted to involve it in something so personal?

ProfPangloss: On top of the equal-parts practical and sentimental reasons outlined above, I just trusted that the Warframe community would have open hearts and be welcome and celebratory to our gay little moment, and from the whole of the reception we got throughout the weekend, I was 100% right. Warframe and DE as a whole has fostered?? such a warm and welcoming community that actively encourages celebration of love in its many forms, so as I'd hoped it turned out to be such a good home for that moment.

I wish ProfPangloss and Truckshepard nothing but the best with their wedding plans and lives together. Watching a room filled by a gaming community celebrate this moment together, and now knowing that some members even helped keep the surprise alive, shows how much of a safe space Warframe is.

As Gamescom came to an end, Digital Extremes was just getting started with a Tenno VIP event featuring a reveal no one saw coming. Hot on the heels of The Lotus Eaters Prologue, Warframe players can now look forward to the Koumei & the Five ?Fates update this fall.

The Koumei & the Five Fates update was previously titled "Unannounced Fall 2024 Warframe update" at TennoCon 2024, but I like this name and the actual context of what's in the update way better. I didn't attend Gamescom 2024, so I didn't see what those at?? the Tenno VIP event were shown, but Digital Extremes says in a blog post that fans attending got a sneaky early look at the update.

A look at a new Warframe, Nora's Mix Vol. 7, and a Volt skin

Warframe's Koumei & the Five Fates update will be released in fall 2024, and it brings a slew of new content, some of which all players can enjoy regardless of where they are in their journey with the g?ame. I don't have a confirmed release date for the update, but I do know that Nora's Mix Vol. 7 is launching on September 3, 2024. This will allow players to unlock a tonne of new gear by completing the challenges within, all of which are themed around a familiar brooding protector from the Jade Shadows update.

The Koumei & the Five Fates update for Warframe, which comes after the latest Nora's Mix, will add a new Deluxe Skin for Volt mains. Based on this and the update's name, I can certainly start to see a theme emerging for the update, and it looks really exciting. Of cou??rse, that's excitement from the Fashionframe point of view since we don't know what the update will add in terms of gameplay just yet.

Finally, as you can see higher in this article, Tenno VIP attendees also got a better look at Cyte-09, a new Warframe coming to the game with the Warframe: 1999 update. This is Warframe's modern-da??y version of the Protoframe who we'll interact w?ith this winter.

Finally, the developer also provided its first update on The Line's Warframe: 1999 anime. It's a brief peek behind the curtain and details Lettie, the reluctant healer of the group you'll be interacting with when playing throug??h the update's campaign. This is the first official Warframe anime, expanding the franchise's reach into a whole new medium. The two images we've seen so far look great, and I'm eager to see what The Line puts together.

If you quickly need to get Lith Relics in Warframe, you have to farm the Exterminate mission, Teshub?, or the Capture mission, Hepit, in the Void. They’ll guarantee a Lith relic with a sma??ll chance of getting Aya. 

The best Neo Relic farm

While you can farm the missions listed in the Meso Relic farming methods, you can also farm Neo Relics specifically from the?? Disruption mission in Lua. Every A-rotation will guarantee a Neo Relic, meaning that you have to defend just one conduit. Let the others get destroyed so you get the reward for one.

After the third round of Disruption on Apollo, Lua, you can extract. After ??the third round, everything will be a B or C rotation.

The best Axi Relic farm

Adding onto playing Apollo on Lua, you can farm Axi Relics here by successfully defending all four conduits per round. After round two, you only have to successfully defend two out of the four conduits to ??ensure a B-rotation reward. You can also opt for C, but you run the chance of getting a Lua Lens or Universal Medallion instead.

Best general Relic farm

If ?you have a high enough Mastery Rank (at least 10 or higher),? you can farm rep from the following Syndicates to buy Relic packs. They will be listed in terms of what rank you need to be with the open world’s specific syndicate.

• Old Man Suumbaat - Cetus, Earth (Rank 3 required)
• Smokefinger - Fortuna, Venus (Rank 2 required)
• Otak - Necralisk, Deimos (Rank 2 required)

These three places re?quire you to spend 20,000 standing ?per pack.

• Teshin - Relay (15 Steel Essence required per pack)

As for the Steel Essence for Tes??hin, this is mostly obtainable after having thi??s mode unlocked.

The best way to get Lith Relics in Warframe is to farm Hepit or Teshub in the Void. They are Capture and Exterminate missions, respectively. Each mission run should take just a few minutes, depending on your build and who you have on you?r team. 

You aren’t guaranteed the ??Lith Relic you need at the end of these? missions, but you’re in the right area to get lucky for one.

The best Meso Relic farm

Similar to Lith Relics, the best place to farm Meso Relics is to play the high??er-level m??issions of the same type. Find Ukko or Oxomoco and do the same. Complete these fast mission types to roll a chance at getting the exact Relic you need for the Prime part you’re looking for.

These missions also have a chance of giving you a Neo?? ??Relic instead, so you’re sort of killing two birds with one stone here.

The best Neo Relic farm

As for Neo Relics, you can use the Meso method, or ??you can farm Apollo on Lua. This Disruption mission will guarantee you a Neo Relic if you d??efend at most one conduit per round. Doing any more will give you Axi Relics instead, which we’ll go over shortly.

After three rounds of this mission, ev?ery successful defense will give you B and ??C-rotation rewards. You can either do that to pursue the Axi Relics or just extract and re-do the mission.

The best Axi Relic farm

Adding onto the method from Neo Relics, to best farm Axi Relics, play the same Apollo m?ission on Lua. Instead, you have to defend all four condui??ts per round up until round two. 

After round two, just defend two conduits at the most. Othe?rwise, C-rotation rewards may periodically reward you with either a Universal Medallion or Lua Le??ns.

Best general Relic farm

If you have a high enough Mastery Rank (at least 10 or higher), y?ou can farm rep from the following Syndicates t??o buy Relic packs. They will be listed in terms of what rank you need to be with the open world’s specific syndicate.

The best build for any companion, but especially Nautilus, is one focused on supporting its owner rather than acting as a mini-powerhouse. For Nautilus, we want ??to focus on mods that bring enemies together??, then provide massive debuffs so you can kill them more easily. These mods will do just that for you:

• Cordon
• Vacuum
• Spare Parts
• Manifold Bond
• Momentous Bond
• Seismic Bond
• Guardian
• Animal Instinct
• Assault Mode
• Regen

Cordon is the bread and butter of this build and comes with N??autilus. This mod causes the Nautilus to group enemies, which can make them easy prey for you. Mods like Manifold and Seismic Bond play into that nicely, causing several enemies to suffer plenty of status effects whether they're hit with melee or shot by Nautilus. Other mods like Regen and Guardian help the survivability of both Nautilus and its owner.

You shouldn't swap much up with this build but if you do want to build into Nautilus, you can upgrade both Regen and Animal Instinct into their Primed variants for a bit more effectiveness. You could also swap one of your bond mods for Mystic Bond instead, which it?self provides free ability casts to you.

Which weapon should you run on Nautilus?

You can run just about anything you want on Nautilus provided that it's built for status effects. Verglas seems to be the best weapon for the job, though Helstrum and Cryotra also work wonders. The only companion weapons you absolutely should not use are the Burst Laser, Tazicor, and Multron as these are some of the worst? companion weapons in the game.

The best mods for the Epitaph Prime in Warframe

The Epitaph Prime may seem like it's good for DPS, but it's better built as a primer secondary. This is a secondary weapon that's meant to dish out status procs, before using your abilities or other weapons to deal major d?amage off those status procs. As such, this build may seem a little unconventional but works wonders. Here's what we suggest you run:

• Lethal Momentum (Exilus)
• Amalagam Barrel Diffusion
• Accelerated Isotopes
• Sure Shot
• Pistol Pestilence
• Augur Seeker
• Frostbite
• Convulsion
• Heated Charge

As you can see, we have a weapon that primarily deals Viral, Radiation, and Heat damage to the enemy. This applies a confusion debuff to enem??ies, increases damage to pure health, and reduces armor by up to 50%. All of this together makes your main weapon essentially delete whatever it's firing at. Along with these status effects, we're also throwing in some Multishot and Projectile Speed so you're covering the arena in debuffs much faster.

If you're looking to swap out some mods here, Primed Fulmination can be a great mod for giving your shots some extra blast radius. This will apply the debuffs to more enemies, and make your job a bit easier. You could also swap out Heated Charge for Jol??t if you want to have Electricity as a status effect instead of Heat.

Which Arcane is best for the Epitaph Prime?

The Arcane you choose will depend on whether you build for Heat or Electricity. For the former, you'll want to snag yourself Cascadia Flare. This gives extra secondary weapon damage for 10 se??conds on Heat procs, which can be nice when applying your debuffs. Otherwise, an Electricity build should use Conjuncti??on Voltage as it gives reload speed and Multishot on Electricity procs.

The best mods for Sevagoth Prime in Warframe

Sevagoth Prime lives and dies off of the damage of his abilities, so we're going to make ample use of Ability Strength here. However, some duration and utility ??mods don't hurt. The following setup sho??uld do just that:

• Brief Respite (Aura)
• Primed Sure Footed (Exilus)
• Transient Fortitude
• Catalyzing Shields
• Equilibrium
• Continuity
• Flow
• Stretch
• Augur Reach
• Intensify

Most mods here build for energy, duration, and strength so Sevagoth can get in there and use all his abilities to wreck entire groups of enemies. Since you'll be spending all this energy, having Brief Respite in there gives a ton of shields for survivability. The same goes for Catalyzing Shields, which ups the max shield ??capacity a bit.

If you want to swap some of these mods out, bringing in Primed Continuity or Primed Flow can be great if you have the mod capacity. You could also swap out Augur Reach and Intensify for two of Sevagoth's augment mods, Shadow Haze and Dark Propagation. These heavily improve both the Reap and Sow abilities to deal additional area of eff?ect damage.

Which Arcanes are best?

As for Arcanes, you should kick things off with Molt Augmented. Sevagoth is proficient at dealing with crowds of enemies, so you'll be racking up endless kills. Getting Ability Strength for that is free damage. Otherwise, Molt Vigor can be great if you're willing to weave in an Operator ability once in a while. If you d??on't want to, ??then replace Molt Vigor with whatever survivability or damage Arcane you wish.

The best Lith Relic farm

The best way to farm Lith Relics in Warframe is to play the Void missions Hepit or Teshub. Because they’re quick Extermination and Capture missions, these can be completed in u??nder three min?utes per run depending on your build and squad. 

The best Meso Relic farm

The best farm for Meso Relics would have to be at the Void as well. Either play the Ukko Capture mission or the Oxomoco Exterminate mission. They’re slightly higher in terms of enemy level, but will possibly yield you a Meso or Neo Relic, me??aning it’s also good for Neo farming.

The best Neo Relic farm

Along with the Meso Relic methods that double for Neo Relic farming, the next best way to farm Neo Relics is to farm the Disruption mission, Apollo. Every A-rotation is guaranteed to give you a Neo Relic, making it the better targ??et farm.

To ensure an A-rotation, you have to successfully defend just one Conduit per round. You have to intentionally let the enemy ??destroy the three others. After Round 3, you can extract and do this again.

The best Axi Relic farm

The best Axi Relic farm is also the same place for Neo Relics. In Apollo, Lua, instead of only defending one conduit, you have to successfully defend all four conduits per round to ensure a B or C rotation. Doing so will give you an Axi Rel??ic regardless, with C-rotations occasionally giving you a Lua Lens or a Med??allion.

Best general Relic farm

If you have a high enough Mastery Rank (at least 10 or higher), you can farm rep from the following Syndicates to buy Relic packs. They will be listed in terms of what rank you need to be with the open world’s spec??ific syndicate.

• Old Man Suumbaat - Cetus, Earth (Rank 3 required)
• Smokefinger - Fortuna, Venus (Rank 2 required)
• Otak - Necralisk, Deimos (Rank 2 required)

These three places req?uire you to spend 20,000 standing per pack.

• Teshin - Relay (15 Steel Essence required per pack)

As for?? the Steel Essence for Teshin, this is mostly obtainable after having this mode ?unlocked.

Developer Digital Extremes has released a Sevagoth Prime and a new Prologue Quest, The Lotus Eaters, for Warframe. Fans have been waiting since TennoCon 2024 to get their hands on the new Prime Warframe and dive into this short quest ahead of this year's major expansion, Warframe: 1999.

Sevagoth Prime is a new version of what might be the most terrifying Warframe in the game. Every one of its abilities cha?rges up a meter that can be used to summon a spooky death-like visage that deals massive amounts of damage to enemies and looks glorious. Provided you're the one controlling it.

The Lotus Eaters is a short narrative quest for players who have completed the Whispers in the Wall quest. In it, you'll reunite with a familiar character and set up the events leading to Warframe: 1999, where you'll b??attle through all sorts of chaos.

More story and more beautiful death

We are continuing our world tour in Germany and it’s so cool to be back in Cologne. Launching this Update alongside our Tenno across Europe on the opening day of Gamescom is just wild. Players have been clamoring for another taste of The Lotus in the story and this bite-sized Quest ??might just offer a tad more insi?ght into her role here. Sevagoth Prime replaces Protea Prime as the current Warframe available through Prime Access. You can opt to grind Relics for Blueprints and craft your Sevagoth Prime, or skip that process and buy access to it through one of Warframe's premium packages. If you're new to the game, maybe having moved over from Destiny 2, I can't recommend grabbing a Prime Warframe early on enough. Prot??ea Prime helped me smash through many quests, and I've no doubt Sevagoth Prime will be just as useful.

If you haven't completed Whispers in the Wall, then you won't be able to tackle The Lotus Eaters Prologue Quest. Warframe's story is a little bonkers but it's essential you experience these quests in order to retain your sanity and an understanding of what's going on. So take your time, work through the quests you have left, and hit this one whe??n you're ready.

While The Lotus Eaters is a new piece of story content to enjoy, it's short. The main goal of this quest is to help set up the story for this winter's expansion, Warframe: 1999. The expansion throws pla??yers into an Earth not quite like ?ours in the year 1999, when everyone is worried about Y2K, and there's a terrifying tech virus consuming everything it can touch.

Right now is an extremely exciting time to be a Warframe ??player. Outside of the new content in this article, the game will be getting yet another expansion before the main one this winter, and there's already 11 years' worth of story to play through with a community more than willing to provide spoiler-free help and resources.
