Xaku Prime is the latest Prime Warframe to come to the game, but alongside Xaku, we also got Trumna Prime and Quassus Prime. The Trumna?? is a particularly powerful weapon, capable of cle??aring entire rooms of enemies with the press of a single button. If you build it right, that is.

You'll need to get your Xaku relics, your Quassus relics, and your Trumna relics sor??ted out before you can start playing around with these new additions, but if you're ready for some explosively serious DPS, keep reading for our take on a low-cost Trumna Prime build.

How to build Trumna Prime in Warframe

Trumna Prime comes with solid critical chance and critical damage stats as well as an excellent status chance, so we'll be building it around scaling status damage with Galvanized Aptitude and getting critical hits. A weapons platform frame like?? Gauss is a perfect pairing with the Trumna.

T?he playstyle here is simple, sure, but satisfying. Simply charge up your Trumna's alternate fire by getting five kills, then activate your? alternate fire for a room-clearing explosion courtesy of a bouncing grenade. If you've got a solid Riven, this weapon can get mind-bogglingly powerful.

The best Trumna Prime mods in Warframe

The name of the game with mods is mitigating the Trumna's intense recoil with Stabilizer, boosting critical chance and damage with Vital Sense ?and Critical Delay, adding in viral damage, and then scaling that with Galvanized Aptitude. The last mod here is flexible, so feel free to a??dd in a Riven.

Arcane: Primary Merciless

Exilus: Stabilizer

Mods:

  • Primed Cryo Rounds (Can swap with Rime Rounds)
  • Malignant Force
  • Galvanized Aptitude
  • Galvanized Chamber
  • Critical Delay
  • Vital Sense
  • Vile Acceleration
  • Radiated Reload (Can swap with Hammer Shot, Primed Firestorm, or a Riven)

On its own, the?? Trumna deals heat and impact damage, while we're modding for viral and radiation damage. Together, this gives you quite a few elements to scale Galvanized Aptitude's damage off. If you'd prefer a ??higher status chance over extra viral damage, Rime Rounds works fine, too.

The flex mod slot here is Radiated Reload. The Trumna's reload speed is rather slow, so this mod is nice to have, but Hammer ??Shot is a rel??iable pick, increasing status chance and critical damage. With Hammer Shot, you won't need to swap Primed Cryo Rounds for Rime Rounds, either.

Primed Firestorm is another option, but keep in mind that it'll only work with the Trumna's alter??nate fire. And the ??alternate fire grenade bounces around, already dealing damage in a fairly large range. Ideally, if you've got the currency for it, a good Riven is perfect for this particular build.

Lancetfish Paella is a complicated five-star dish you can make in Disney Dreamlight Valley, which requires tough fish to make. It's ?located in a far-off space that is hard to reach for newcomers to the game??.

Where to find Lancetfish Paella Disney Dreamlight Valley ingredients

You'll require five different ingredients to make Lancetfish ?Paella. They are:

  • Lancetfish
  • Tomato
  • Shrimp
  • Any kind of seafood like Shrimp or Squid
  • Rice

Lancetfish can be fished from the Forgotten Lands. It's the hardest biome to reach in Disney Dreamlight Valley, unfortunately, and will require a lot of Dreamlight to unlock. Once you've finally reached the dark area, fish from the ponds in the area and look for blue ripples. This is where the Lan??cetfish lurk. You may get other kinds of fish from the catch too but be persistent. I was able to find mine the first tim??e, however.

Tomatoes and their seeds can be bought at Goofy's Stall in Dazzle Beach. The seeds can be bought for 8 Star Coins each from one of Mickey's best friends. You may be lucky because the tomatoes themselves may be up for sale too. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case today for me. You might also find a fresh Tomato from Wall-E's garden; thankfully, luck was on my side this time. They're also used as a Ratatouille ingredient.

Shrimp can be caught while fishing at Dazzle Beach nearby Goofy's Stall, thankfully. Catching two of them is easier to do for any kind of seafood addition, but if you have any spare Squid in your inventory you might as well use that. While t??rying to catch Shrimp, look for blue ripples in the ocean.

Lastly, Rice can be bought at Goofy's Stall in the Glade of Trust. You can buy the seeds for 35 Star Coins each or the ingredient itself for 92 Star Coins. It's worth the extra money to just get the ingredient, but if you want to save money, you can ?grow the Rice yourself.

Where to cook

You can cook your meal at any stove in Disney Dreamlight Valley. There's one in your house or if you've finished Rem??y's realm in the castle, at Chez Remy. Throw all of the ingredients in the pot, and you should have your Lancetfish Paella. Bon appetite!

Baldur's Gate 3 takes you on a wondrous journey through one of Dungeons & Dragons' most iconic settings. However, your trek through the Sword Coast may hit a snag if the in-game camera give?s you a lopsided view of the world.

The camera controls in Baldur's Gate 3 can be tricky to figure out, especially if BG3 is your first ex??perience with top-down role-playing games. Luckily, I've spent almost a hundred hours playing this game??, so I can tell you everything you need to know to master its camera.

How to control the camera in BG3 with a mouse and keyboard

Baldur's Gate 3 camera tutorial.
Image via Destructoid

If you're playing Baldur's Gate 3 on a gaming computer, you control the camera with select keys on your?? keyboard and a few HUD buttons you can click with your mouse. The game gives you a pretty nice tutorial on using the camera whenever you start a new game, but it doesn't tell you everything, so here's a more thorough rundown.

  • W/S/D/W Keys—You can use the W/S/D/W keys to pan the camera around the immediate area. If that doesn't suit you, you can do this by using the arrow keys.
  • Q and E Keys - The Q and E keys let you spin the camera around in a circle. You can also do this by holding down the middle mouse button.
  • Page Up and Page Down Keys - You can use the Page Up and Page Down keys to zoom the camera in or out. You can also do this by spinning the middle mouse button or clicking the zoom-in and zoom-out buttons next to the map.
  • O Key—Press the O key to enter Tactical View. T gives you a top-down view of your surroundings. This view is fantastic for combat situations, giving you a bird's-eye view of the action to detect hidden enemies and see whether the terrain will block your attacks.

Once you familiarize yourself with these key commands, your Baldur's Gate 3 journey will be as cinematic as it is fun to play.

How to use Edge Panning in BG3

Baldur's Gate 3 Edge Panning settings in the Options menu.

Edge Panning ??is an additional camera option that allows you to move the camer??a by moving the mouse around the edge of the screen. This is an excellent option if you don't want to use the A/S/D/W or Arrow Keys to move the camera.

To turn on Edge Panning, open the "Options" menu and scroll down to the bottom of the "Gameplay" tab. You should see Edge Panning as the second option in the Camera section. If you use Edge Panning and have a multi-screen setup, I'd recommend flicking the Lock Mouse to Window option to "On" so your mouse doesn't go high-wire when it ??jumps to another screen.

How to control the camera in BG3 with a controller

Baldur's Gate 3 Controller layout.
Image via Destructoid

Whether you've plugged a gaming controller into your computer or are playing Baldur's Gate 3 on the PS5 or Xbox Series X/S,? a radically different control scheme awaits you. Controlling the camera with a controller plays much differently than steering it with a mouse and keyboard, but it's still easy to ge??t the hang of.

  • Clicking up, down, left, and right on the left control stick will pan the camera left, right, up, and down.
  • Tilting left and right on the right control stick rotates the camera.
  • Cranking up and down on the right stick lets you zoom in and out.
  • Push on the left stick to recenter the camera on your character if it ever gets away from you.
  • Zooming out all the way out with the right stick will shift you into Tactical View. Zoom back in to get out of it.

With all that covered, you shouldn't have any problem working Baldur's Gate 3's camera. Be sure to check out all our BG3 if you're wondering which Feat to give your party or how to defeat challenging bosses standing in your way.

Words have weight, which is why I swing them around with reckless abandon. I’m not sure that’s what Great God Grove is about unless you only take it literally. It’s more about identity, authority, communication, an??d misunderstanding.

It’s the follow-up to Smile For Me by Limbolane. But while the two games have similarities, you might miss the relation just by looking at it. One game has you interred in an asylum, while the other has you fixing the relationship?s of the gods. However, what they have in common is head nods and fixing people.

Great God Grove (Switch, Xbox Series X|S, PC [Reviewed])
Developer: Limbolane
Publisher: LimboLane, Fellow Traveller
Released: November 15th, 2024
MSRP: $19.99

Great God Grove puts you in the boots of a Godpoke, which is, as far as I can tell, a sort of courier. To be honest, I’m not clear on a few concepts here. For all I know, a Godpoke might just be someone who wears a poncho. You arrive at the eponymous g??rove just in time to see the gods close a giant rift in the sky that threaten??s to end the world. The problem is that the gods aren’t entirely interested in saving the world. They’re far too wrapped up in their own problems.

Previous to your arrival, the last messenger of the gods, the mysterious King, sent letters out to all the gods. The letters are obvious attempts to drive wedges between ?them, but as ??King had always been a trusted friend and reliable enough to be elected to become the next god, they took those words at face value. Now, nothing is right in the grove despite being a crucial time for the whole world.

Before you even get to the grove, King’s trusty mail cannon, the Megapon, lands directly in you?r lap. With this device, you can suck the words out of one person’s mouth and slap them in the face of another. Or just right back at them. That happens sometimes.

Being the wise person you are (or maybe just because it’s a linear narrative), you set to work righting King’s wrong. Immediately, you’re deputized by Inspekta, the God of Leadership, to help their lackeys, t?he Bizzyboys, figure out what happened to King and why they dec??ided to hurt everyone’s feelings. However, the leader of the Bizzyboys, Capochin, is only out to please his boss, while the rest of the members are completely incompetent and hapless. So, it all comes down to you.

//youtu.be/fxYga_HqQis?feature=shared

Largely, Great God Grove resembles a point-and-click adventure game. You can’t suck up any sentence or grouping of words you want; only specific, highlighted things that charac?ters say can go in your Megapon. In this way, they work like? any item in something like Secret of Monkey Island. You find hints in the words of the people you’re talking to and deliver something that will get them to perform some task for you, even if that’s just moving out of the way.

There’s a bit of a learning curve. For the first area, I wasn’t picking up on the cues, but after the second, I was able to proceed with some expedience. I didn’t get hung up very often, but I have to wonder if that’s going to be everyone’s experience. Great God Grove has an unusual design language built around its central hook, and I’m not sure if gaming literacy will be as important here as actual literacy. I’m not sure if every player can adjust, or maybe I’m? the odd one because I had some issues in the first ??area. I can only speak to my own experience, though, and in my experience, I didn’t have much of a problem for most of the game.

Each area of the grov?e is home to one or two gods. In each one, King has spread some sort of misinformation to throw things into chaos, and your overall goal is to sort things out to restore the status quo. Sounds easy, but being an adventure game, it takes more than an apology to work things out.

Screenshot by Destructoid

What really elevates Great God Grove above a typical adventure game is an abundance of style. It mixes 2D characters and objects with a 3D world Paper Mario-style. It’s based around Day Lane’s distinctive, sketchy, expressive style. While animation is sparse, each character has a massive range of poses and emotions that they transition to each new window of dial??ogue. It can be quite captivating.

Many of the gods are rendered in full 3D, but they’re styled in such a way t?hat it can be hard to tell. Like the 2D folks, the gods spring from pose to pose, wit?h more traditional animation thrown in occasionally to spice things up.

There are also live-action puppet vignettes that you can watch for not much reason aside from enrichment. They generally just involve the Bizzyboys giving advice and some background informatio?n about what’s going on in the world. As it ??turns out, I’m really into puppets eating sandwiches.

There isn’t much out that that looks quite like Great God Grove. The style?? is executed so consistently and with so much blunt-force pizzazz that it’s i??ncredible that just a handful of people put the whole thing together. There are so many facets of its visual style that look as though they would be very difficult to execute, so the fact that they didn’t choose an easier, more conventional route is impressive. It pays off because, if absolutely nothing else, the way this game looks will be seared into your eyeholes.

Screenshot by Destructoid

Great God Grove has a lot to say about identity and the way p??eople will stomp on others just for recognition. The gods themselves aren’t much different than ordinary people. They just exist on a less accessible plane of existence. As such, even though you can walk up and talk to them, their followers seem to just believe what they hear and speculate on what they might be thinking, which often is what leads to miscommunication. Misinformation is rife, and people take advantage of that.

Humans seem hardwired to climb. There’s a fear that our lives will be meaningless or forgotten, so we strive for recognition. And to secure our recognition, we’ll often stomp down the people beneath us. We yearn to wear the stomping boots, and a decent person can turn awful the moment they put them on. You face a lot of that in Great God Grove.

At the same time, it’s a very optimistic game. With your intervention, the troublemakers you meet see the error in their ways and express a desire to atone for their actions. Ca??ll me cynical, but I find most people are more likely to become defensive when faced with the consequences of their actions. People dig their stomping boots in and seek justification for what they’ve done. Maybe I just need a stronger word cannon.

Great God Grove prepare the sacrifice.
Screenshot by Destructoid

In terms of gameplay, I could honestly take or leave Great God Grove. It has great pacing and a unique approach to the adventure genre, but I find the situations in which it’s applied generally unexciting. Not overly mundane, but I think with urgent focus on the threat and more dangerous situations, the dialogue would have more?? of a chance to shine. But it already shines pretty brightly.

Great God Grove i??s an immensely polished and precisely executed game, and that’s the most impressive part about it. Its pacing and aesthetic are finely honed and there’s n??ary a loose thread to be found. A bit more punch and the narrative would be perfect, but it presents a good amount of depth to sink into. It also features puppets gnawing on a gigantic hoagie, and really, what more can you ask for?

I have so many arcade games available on my Switch; it’s obscene. Also, kind of expensive, which weâ€?™ll get to. ??But with the short length of your standard arcade title, they’re easy to dive into when you need a snack.

So, here’s Irem Collection Volume 2, which is, as you have most likely guessed, the follow-up to Irem Collection Volume 1. Irem is perhaps best known for their R-Type series, but the developer was among the best in the arcade days with hits like Kickle Cubicle and Undercover Cops; games that could go under the radar and are therefore ripe for inclusion ?in?? collections.

But perhaps the most important contribution from Irem is Metal Slug. Not the actual game that was Nazca and SNK but it was the place where the staff behind Metal Slug first stretched their legs before setting out on their own. And nowhere is this more apparent than in Gun Force II, one of the games ?in this collection. There are also two other games here.

Irem Collection Volume 2 (Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Switch [Reviewed])
Developer: Irem
Publisher: ININ Games
Released: November 14th, 2024
MSRP: $24.99

I’m going to go through the individual games included in this collection, but I want to give a word about how they’re packed: awkward. Kind of awkward. Not every game collection needs to be Atari 50, but Irem Collection Volume 2 is barebones on top of unintuitive. The volume of the menu, for example, is substantially higher than the games themselves. Each game has a “casualand “classicmode, the difference being that you can’t participate in the leaderboards in cas?ual mode, but you get access to game settings, cheats, and rewind. I’m guessing that they’re presented separately for leaderboard reasons, but I don’t see why they can’t just warn you when you try to turn cheats on. You can use autofire on both, which seems stran?ge.

It uses an emulation platform that I’ve seen before in Ratalaika/ININ re-releases like the Cyber Citizen Shockman games and the Ninja Jajamaru: Retro Collection. That’s not ??necessarily a good or bad thing. I just want you to know what you’re in for, if you’re familiar.

There’s no supplemental document??ation or credits for the original games, which lacked them at release, and we still don’t know who some of the developers were for the games. What’s galling is that the physical collector’s edition of the game comes with things like re?production arcade flyers and a visual compendium, so it’s not like they don’t have anything to show, they just chose not to include them in a digital format.

Annoying, but let’s talk about the games.

Air Duel

Irem Collection Volume 2 Air Duel
Screenshot by Destructoid

The odd one out in the collection is Air Duel. It’s the only scrolling shoot-’em-up of the bunch. It’s extremely challengi??ng, but you’re not exactly going to run out of quarters here. It'll be a real climb if you want to place on the leaderboards, though.

You can choose between a helicopter and your typical futuristic jet-thing. The jet thing works abo??ut how you’d expect one to work in this kind of game, but the chopper’s gunfire will turn in the direction you’re pressing. It’s awkward at first, but learning to use it gives you the advantage of being able to stay out of the direct line of gunfire and still attack. I didn’t like it the first time I tried it, but after clearin?g the first level, I can’t imagine playing without it.

About a zillion of these types of games were released through the 0s and 0s, and you can get a lot of them on Switch. In comparison, Air Duel is fine. I like it, but it’s not likely to be the game I reach for next time I’m in the mood. That will probably be something like Raiden or Raystorm. On the other hand, I now have the worldwide high score on this game. Take that, three other people who have early access to Irem Collection Volume 2. You suck.

GunForce (Arcade)

Irem Collection 2 Gun Force (1)
Screenshot by Destructoid

I’m technically going out of order here, but I feel like the arcade version should come first. GunForce is a run-and-gun like Contra, except with more vehicles and way clunkier. Its subtitle is em>Battle Fire Engulfed Terror Island, which is just an incredible mash of words.

GunForce is so clunky that it might take a bit to acclimate. Your dude moves so stiffly, and enemies just pour in from the side of the screen. Crowd control and learning to dodge don’t come as naturally as you’d probably find in a Contra derivative.

Once you do get a handle on things, it can be an enjoyable game. It gives you a new vehicle practically every few steps and these range from jeeps to helicopters. Powerups drop constantly, and you’re able to grab onto overhanging objects. It’s just getting into or out of a helicopter, climbing a ladder, or letting go of an object that can take a bit of fighting, and in a game like GunForce, a li??ttle bit of fighting can mean another lost life.

GunForce (Console)

Irem Collection 2 Gun Force Console
Screenshot by Destructoid

I keep forgetting that GunForce even came out on SNES/Super Famicom. That’s probably because it’s not talked about all that much. Not in my experience, anyway. Its inclusion here is more of a “good to havethan a “need to havesituation. It’s largely the same as the arcade version but squished down for less powerful hardware. It plays very faithfully, with the biggest difference being that, on classic difficulty, you’re saddled with a handful of continues. Occasionally, there are too few continues since a bad situation can make you drop lives fast. Other times, there are too many because there are only a ??few levels.

The biggest drawback is that it’s a lot less colorful. GunForce wasn’t a colorful game to begin with, but anything vivid it did got flattened out on?? SNES. It’s a shame because the console was capable of more. It’s still an okay translation of an okay game, but being a shadow of another game in the c?ollection makes its inclusion feel somewhat unnecessary. Good to have, though.

Gun Force II

Irem Collection 2 Gun Force 2
Screenshot by Destructoid

Gun Force II is the last arcade game to be developed by Irem. Named Geo Storm in Japan, it’s largely a different beast from the original GunForce. What links them is the fact that they’re both run-and-gun shooters, and they have you jump into a tonne of different vehicles throughout the levels. Otherwise, they feel pretty distinct?.

There’s still a noticeable degree of clunk to be found in Gun Force II, but it makes up for it by being absurdly over-the-top. Your dude comes equipped wi?th two guns at all times, and at any given time, 80% of the screen is covere??d in explosions. It’s a game that never lets up, constantly throwing new situations at you. Turning on autofire just makes things more insane. And more fun.

It’s not Metal Slug, but you can see the similarities. You rescue captured people who, in this case, are scantily clad women in torn clothing. The enemy's screams are exactly the same. You can also see a lot of art style similarities between the two, though it’s less pronounced and consistent in Gun Force II. Only Takeshi Okui is confirmed to have worked on the art, but I’d be very surprised if he was the only one from the Metal Slug team.

//youtu.be/22HO5Ny9wNc?feature=shared

The Collection

Gun Force II is easily the standout of the bunch. I’ve talked to smaller developers who have worked on run-??and-gun shooters, and they often cite it as an inspiration. It maybe doesn’t make the whole collection worth it, but it’s definitely worth playing.

And that’s kind of the hang-up here: whether or not the collection is worth it. It’s one standout title (Gun Force 2), a good one (Air Duel), and one that is simply okay (GunForce). You get different regional versions where applicable, as well as the console port of GunForce. There isn’t really any supplemental material (which isn’t totally unusual), and the UI could be better. The value isn’t quite where it should be. It’s slightly more expensive than buying three Arcade Archives titles and worse value than something like Taito Milestones.

So, overall, Irem Collection Volume 2 is less than spectacular. If the games really appeal to you, th??en the collection doesn’t diminish them, but it also does?n’t elevate them. In terms of value, you could do worse, but it’s not an immediate recommendation. They’re your quarters, do what you want with them.

Marvel Entertainment released the newest character reveal trailer for the upcoming team-based hero shooter, Marvel Rivals.

Moon Knight, the focus of the trailer, was revealed to be among the 25 playable?? heroes and villains available on the game's launch roster. Some of his abilities and their combat? utility are on display in the short reveal.

Moon Knight appears to have a damage-per-second centered design that is adept at mid-range skirmishes. His primary fire lacks overall damage output but deals knockback that can push opponents off the map for quick kills. Moon Knight's other abilities look useful for dealing burst damage, cleaning up kills on low-health enemies, and using his glide?? and super jump to enter and exit the fray at will.

His ultimate technique is an area-of-effect attack that opens up a portal above a hostile location, raining down massive fists that smash into the ground, dealing damage on the way. For overall strategy, Moon Knight looks to harass enemies from a distance, then uses his movement options to get into the fight in a favorable position. From there, he can cause mayhem in the enemy tea??m's back-row and escape unscathed.

Moon Knight's inclusion in Rivals is??n't surprising considering the popularity of the?? hero's TV mini-series starring Oscar Isaac, though Marvel hasn't spoken much about the character or a follow-up season since the show aired in 2022.

Marvel Rivals is free-to-play and officially launches December 6 on Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Epic Games Store. The game's entire 25-character launch roster is also free??-to-play and won't ?require players to unlock them before use.

Genshin Impact 5.2 Banners

The first half of Genshin Impact Version 5.2 will feature character banners for Chasca (5-star Anemo Bow) and Lyney (5-star Pyro Bow). They will be accompanied by the 4-star Electro Bow character Ororon. The weapon banners will feature Chasca’s 5-st??ar signature Astral Vulture's Crimson Plumage, as well as?? Lyney’s signature The First Great Magic.

The banners in the second half of Genshin Impact 5.2 will rerun Zhongli (5-star Geo Polearm) and Neuvillette (5-star Hyd??ro Catalyst). The weapon banner will include Neuvillette’s signature Catalyst Tome of the Eter??nal Flow. The other 5-star weapon will probably be Staff of Homa, though there’s a small chance for Vortex Vanquisher instead.

Two new 4-star weapons will make their debut on the weapon banners: Waveriding Whirl (Catalyst) and Flower-Wreathed Feathers (Bow). It’s still unconfirmed whether they will run in the first half or ??the second.

New characters: Chasca and Ororon

Chasca and Ororon have featured prominently in Genshin Impact’s story in Natlan, and now, they join the playable roster. The special program revealed some new information about how thes??e ?characters will play.

Chasca is a 5-star Anemo Bow character who’s really neither Anemo nor a Bow user. Her attacks infuse different elements based on Pyr?o, Hydro, Electro, and Cryo teammates, so Chasca deals mixed-element “rainbowdamage instead of just Anemo. And although she equips a Bow, Chasca actually summons a giant revolver which she rides like a flying steed and fires like a shotgun. Chasca looks to be a unique on-field DPS who focuses on mixed-element d??amage.

Ororon is a 4-star Electro Bow character who deals off-field Electro damage using his Skill and Burst. His kit incentivizes Electro-Charged teams utilizing Electro and Hydr??o characters. It sounds like he’ll be a possible alternative to Fischl in Electro-Charged teams that require Nightsoul mechanics. Ororon has the ability to leap high into the air before gliding slowly to the grou?nd, and if you enter aiming mode while in the air, Ororon can hover in place.

Genshin Impact’s Xbox release and special wings

With Version 5.2, Genshin Impact will be available to play on Xbox Series X|S. Travelers logging into Genshin Impact on Xbox will receive a new pair of green wings (Wings of Fate's Course Intertwined), as well as two Intertwined Fates and a Northlander Billet Trove. Going forward, Xbox users will receive additional exclusive goodies ??with each patch, consisting of Fates/Primogems and other upgrade materials.

Users on other platforms won’t receive the Fates and other materials, but they can still get the Xbox wings! During Version 5.3, everyone logging into Genshin Impact on any platform will receive the Xbox wings in their mailbox. This on??ly lasts through Version 5.3, going away once 5.4 rolls around. However, Xbox users will be able to claim the wings anytime by logging in on their Xbox Series X|??S.

Previously slated for the summer, a release date is officially in place for River City Girls 2's collaboration with Double Dragon. Billy and Jimmy Lee will make their way onto the mean streets as playable characters on November 12, 2024.

The meat of the DLC is, of course, the ability to play as the hard-hitting protagonists of the Double Dragon series. Billy and Jimmy are totally unique fighters, bringing their own special moves to the fray. Players will be able to bust out Hurricane Kicks and Rising Knees as they mak??e their way through the? beat 'em up's story mode.

As previously reported, Billy and Jimmy will also be fully voiced. In River City Girls 2, those voices belong to the Game Grumps themselves, Dan Avidan (Billy) and Arin Hanson (Jimmy). The two are also teaming up for a new vocal song featuring music by River City Girls composer Megan McDuffee.

Rounding it all out is the new dojo, Master Boro. As the screens and footage so far indicate, it looks like WayForward put in a lot of work to smoothly integrate the two worlds. Being one of the staples of the genre, it's a no-brainer to throw Double Dragon into the mix wherever possible,?? but it's nice to see it being done with the right amount of care and respect. Even if it all first emerged to t?he public as an April Fools' gag!

When it launches, players can dive into the River City Girls 2 Double Dragon DLC ??on all available platforms. Crack your knuckles and get ready to fire it up in just six days on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Fortnite's Chapter 2 Remix event features? plenty of nods to stories of the past. One particularly secret story deserves an appropriately secret set of quests. This guide w??ill help you to hunt down 10 hidden Lawn Gnomes for a hefty chunk of battle pass XP.

War of the Gnomes

A player examines a gnome, half-buried in the sand

Back in the original Chapter 2, eagle-eyed players noticed certain props moving ??around the island between updates. Through the chapter, a story was told about a confrontation between the Lawn Gnomes and the Teddy Bears. Unlike most games, however, it wasn't told through cinematics or audio logs. It was told through the incremental changes made to props between updates.

Eventually, the war was won by the Teddy Bears, and the Gnomes were exiled from the island. Ho?wever, they've been periodically spotted by players every now and again. With Chapter 2 Remix here, we thought perhaps we'd relive the early days of that fated war. Instead, it appears that the Gnomes and Teddy Bears now get along! They're hanging out in locations throughout the island, ready to hand over chunks of battle pass XP to players who find them.

Gnome locations in Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix

There are ten gnomes throughout the island. As you get near them, you'll see an exclamation point icon to help track them down. They're hidden away quite? sneak??ily, so this map will help you locate them all.

A map of the island in Chapter 2 Remix with gnome locations marked

  • In Craggy Cliffs in the north of the island
  • Under an umbrella in the sand of a secluded beach to the north
  • Under a pylon from the power lines that run from Steamy Stacks to Retail Row
  • Hanging on the shore of a river bend southeast of Frenzy Farm
  • Watching TV inside a white house in Holly Hedges
  • Playing Hide and Seek under a tree with a nearby Teddy Bear east of Holly Hedges
  • Hanging out in Weeping Woods
  • Standing next to a waterfall, reachable by dropping from the top or plunger-gun
  • Relaxing near Misty Meadows
  • Freezing head-first in the snow next to an abandoned camp

Each lawn gnome is worth 10,000 XP, with a bonus of 20,000 XP for collecting all ten. That sho??uld help you rocket through the expedited Battle Pass for this season. Remember to work fast because everything goes away at the end of the m??onth!

Throughout the years, particularly in 2023 and 2024, we've experienced some of the best (and worst) gaming has to offer, from role-playing games that set the standard for years to come to small indie titles that lay comfortably in our hearts and tug at the heartstrings. We're also continuing to see the rise of expansions for some of the most famous games out there, from World of Warcraft: The War Within to Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail.

With all that said, ??it's easy to get overwhelmed by the sheer number of game releases as the months go on, especially if you're partway through a playthrough and learn that more games are launching the same week.

The Model L is a capable gun in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 with its respectable damage and mid-range advantages. However, it does have some faults that need to? be remedied and can be done with the loadout y??ou choose.

So here's the best Model L l??oadout in Call of Duty Black Ops 6.

The Model L Call of Duty Black Ops 6 loadout you should use

The Model L is a full-auto assault rifle that is slow at firing but has great accuracy, making it great at mid-ranged gunfire. To help enhan??ce its accuracy and improve its firepower, here are the recommended attachments:

  • Optic: Accu-Spot Ultra Holo
  • Muzzle: Muzzle Brake
  • Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Precision Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag I
  • Rear Grip: Commando Grip
  • Stock: Balanced Stock
  • Fire Mod: 5.56 NATO Overpressured

You can get eight attachments if you use the Gunfighter Wildcard. Otherwise, you're stuck with five.

Why should you choose this loadout?

The Optic is completely up to you, but the Model L should have a 3x optic as it's suited for mid-range combat. I picked the Accu-Spot Ultra Holo optic as the Willis 3X reduces your Aim Down Sight Speed. Next, for the Muzzle, go for the Muzzle Brake. It gives you further control over your gunfire and increases the Kick Reset Speed. If you want to go for a stealthy build, choose the Suppressor as it removes your shots from the mini-map.

Moving on, the Barrel should be the Reinforced Barrel as it increases your Damage Range and Bullet Velocity. This is great for mid to long-ranged fights and significantly improves the Firepower of the Model L. The Precision Foregrip should be the next pickup in the Underbarrel section. It improves Aiming Idle Sway and Horizontal?? Recoil Control, giving even further accuracy.

It's always best to have more ammo at the ready, so an Extended Mag I is your best pick for the Magazine. If you want to improve the speed of your gun, however, the Fast Mag I is not a bad shout either because it improves Reload Quickness, Aim Down Sight Speed, and Sprint to Fire Speed. As it's a mid-range gun, however,?? it's not as suited to close-quarters scenarios.

Thankfully, you can significantly increase the Aim Down Sight Speed of the gun with the Quickdraw Grip as your Rear Grip. You don't need the Sprint to Fire Speed and Slide to Fire Speed from other attachments as this gun shouldn't be as mobile as the XM4 and the Goblin Mk2.

The Balanced Stock improves many factors of ??the Model L, including Strafing Movement Speed, Hipfire Movement Speed, Movement Speed, and Aim Walking Movement Speed, making the gun more adaptable to short-ranged and mid-ranged encounters.

Lastly, you'll want the 5.56 NATO Overpressured Fire Mod on the Model L. It will help you counter the?? gun's slow-firing capabi?lities.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 local multiplayer is something many fans want as it's been a part of the series for decades. ??Playing against your friends or with them in co-op on the couch is a memory many cherish and would like to resume in 2024 and beyond.

Is Call of Duty Black Ops 6 split-screen-capable with friends?

Thankfully, you can play both the zombies mode and multiplayer with split-screen functionality. There's a catch, however. PS4, Xbox One, and PC Call of Duty Black Ops 6 players can't use split-screen and are only able to play with one player at all times.?? Only those on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S can play a round of Team?? Deathmatch with a mate on the couch with split-screen. Simply connect the second controller and have them press A or the cross button at the lobby.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 has splitscreen
Screenshot by Destructoid

The positive is that the split-screen covers the entire screen with no cut-off sections. It's fully 16:9. It doesn't seem like you can play competitively against each other, however. I've tried to start a local multiplayer m??atch under the "Private Match" mode and it didn't connect a second controller.

Does Call of Duty Black Ops 6 need to connect online?

Unfortunately, you'll need to always be online while playing Call of Duty Black Ops 6, even for the single-player campaign. This means that LAN has become obsolete. At least, some form of Black Ops 6 l??ocal multiplayer is su??pported through split-screen.

Do you need a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass to play Call of Duty Black Ops 6 online?

If you're playing the game on PS4 and PS5, you'll need at least PlayStation Plus Essential to access Call of Duty Black Ops 6's multiplayer matchmaking. This is the same with Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S users with Xbox Game Pass Core and up. Thankfully, both of these services come with free games each month. November 2024, for example, has Ghostwire Tokyo and Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 included with your subscription.

The new Ode to Castlevania DLC for Vampire Survivors has arrived, with over 20 new characters to unlock. There are a lot of specific rules, so we've made this guide to help clear the air on what you'll need to find your favorite Castlevania characters.

The DLC has a massive map, and there are a lot of places to go. As you defeat bosses, you'll unlo??ck warp points that are persistent. These will allow you to hop to specific bosses and areas of the map faster in subsequent playthroughs.

There are bosses that certain characters need to kill to unlock more content. We've created a map below with the locations of these spe?cific bosse??s. Make sure to check which character needs to defeat them in the table under that.

We have a list of every character and how to unlock them here. If you're unsure how to evolve certain weapons, check out our guide here.

Character Name How to Unlock
Leon Belmont Find and open the first coffin in Ode to Castlevania. It's located near the castle entrance.
Sonia Belmont Find 7 Heart Refreshes after opening the Stallion Gate. The gate is opened by beating the Big Bat boss in the main hall.
Trevor Belmont Defeat the Giant Medusa Head with Leon Belmont.
Sypha Belnades Defeat Slogra and Gaibon with Grant Danasty. To summon both, you'll need to step on the Boss Circle twice.
Grant Danasty Evolve the Water Dragon Whip.
Alucard Defeat the Doppelganger with Trevor Belmont.
Hector Find 7 Karma Coins after opening the Scorpion Gate. The Scorpion Gate is unlocked by beating the Puppet Master boss.
Christopher Belmont Evolve the Alucart Sworb.
Simon Belmont Evolve the Jet Black Whip.
Juste Belmont Evolve the Wind Whip.
Julius Belmont Find and open the second coffin in Ode to Castlevania. When you reach the Paranoia boss (big red hooded figure), look on the wall to the left for a red stain. That's a hidden entrance to a secret library where the second coffin is.
Yoko Belnades Defeat Abaddon with Soma Cruz.
Soma Cruz Defeat Gergoth with Julius Belmont.
Jonathan Morris Evolve the Hand Grenade.
Charlotte Find 7 Mirrors of Truth after opening the Capra Gate.
John Morris Evolve Raging Fire, Ice Fang, Gale Force, and Rock Riot across any amount of runs.

ADSing is a term used in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 while expl??aining the Perk Tracker. However, it's a bit of jarg??on that isn't described in any manner in the game; here's what it actually means.

What exactly is ADSing in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6?

In short, ADSing means to "aim down sights" in a match. This could be with an assault rifle with an impressive optics setup or a sniper like the SVD. The term is ??brought up when the ??game describes the Perk Tracker, which lets you see enemy footsteps and auto-ping enemies when you ADS them.

Flip Mag improves ADS in Call of Duty Black Ops 6
Screenshot by Destructoid

How to improve ADS

There are some attachments you can add to your assault rifle to make it gain a faster ADS. For example, the Flip Mag magazine increases your aim down sight speed (ADS), Reload Quickness, and Sprint to Fire Speed. Unfortunately, the Flip Mag also has a weakness as it decreases your firepower and Magazine Ammo Capacity. You can unlock the Flip Mag at Level 29 of the weapon XM4, just as an exampl??e. The Fast Mag II also improves your?? Aim Down Sight Speed more dramatically.

Other ways to improve ADS are by equipping the Quickdraw Grip, Commando Grip, or Ergonomic Grip to your weapon's Rear Grip. The Hipfire to ADS Accuracy stat can also be increased by putting on the Strelok Laser but keep in mind that the laser is visible while you're aiming down. However, this might be helpful with an SMG KSV.

What decreases ADS?

Disappointingly, there are many attachments that can decrease your ADS as well. For example, the Extended Mag II gives you much more magazine ammo capacity but decreases your ADS, Reload Quickness, and Sprint to Fire Speed. The Extended Mag III does this too to the ADS of your weapon but also slows down Reload Quickness, Sprint to Fire Speed, and Aim W?alking Movement Speed.

Vampire Survivors has finally come full circle (of the moon) with its latest Ode to Castlevania DLC. There's a whole arsenal of new weapons to find and evolve. This Vampire Survivors update comes with over 20 new w??eapons, a?? couple of new passives, and a whole lot more.

To unlock the new weapons, you'll basically need to unlock the characters, which we have a separate guide for. Each character comes with a weapon, and you usually unlock t?hat weapon for other characters by surviving w?ith the original owner for a set amount of time. You can find these specific conditions in the Unlocks section of the game.

As if Scissorman wasn't terrifying enough, an even bigger threat awaits Jennifer in the caves beneath Barrows Mansion. Confronting this creature and reaching the caves will take a lot of preparation. Here's how to get ending F and E in Clock Tower: Rewind.

How to get the perfume

Jennifer standing near the dresser in the bedroom containing perfume.
Screenshot by Destructoid

For this ending, you need several items that can spawn in multiple places throughout the Barrows Mansion. The first thing you'll want to gra??b is the Perfume.

At the start, head left and keep going past the room with the win??dow. In the next room, go through the door closest to you. Interact with the box on top of the dresser in this room for the West Building Key.

If the West Building Key is not in this room, it will appear later in the hallway near the attic. For now, head into the door in the right corner of the room. In the bedroom, check the dresser under t??he mirror to get the Perfume.

You'll also want to take care of the Parrot in this room like you would when pursuing ending G or H. Open the cage and let the bird out, then interact with the red bed sheets to catch the bird. Now you can hide from Scissorman under the left bed wit??hout the Parrot exposing you to the killer.

How to get the black robe

Jennifer pushing a box towards a shelf in the attic.

Exit the bedroom through the door to the right, then go left. When you run into Scissorman, run back into the bedroom and hide under the bed on the left side of the room. Return to the?? room where you encountered Scissorman and head up the stairs.

At the top of the stairs, go left ?until you reach two brown door??s. Go into the door on the left, and then enter the empty doorway in this hall.

In this room, interact with the cans near the door to get the Pesticide. ?Next, interact with the box behind the blue shelf on the left side of the room. Jennifer will try to climb up the shelf, but she won't be able to.

Now, interact with the box in the center of the room. Jennifer will use the box to help her get over the shelf an??d reach the other side. Interact with the box behind the shelf again to get the Black Robe.

Leave this room and go back into the ha?llway. If you didn't find the West Building Key earlier, you can find it by heading to the left of this hall.

Interact with the bird nest near the ceiling her?e, then interact with the box in the hall and Jennifer will use it to reach the nest?. Inside the nest you'll find the West Building Key.

How to get the gold and silver keys

Jennifer in the room with a suit of armor and a silver key on the table.

Next, head back to the first floor of the room where you encountered Scissorman. Go left until you see two brown doors. Enter the brown door on the left side, which you'll enter automatically if you'r??e running left.

In the h??allway, enter the first door you see to enter the kitchen. Here, use the Pesticide on the giant freezer in the back of the room. The Pesticide will clear out all the bugs, allowing you to safely obtain the Gold Key.

Before you leave, grab the Ham from the fridge on the left side of the room. After that, head back to ??the Scissorman room and go to the second floor. You need to find a ro?om with a suit of armor in it, but this room's location is randomized.

The door to the room with armor can be in one of two places. B??oth of these doors are found in the room where Scissorman attacked Ann.

The first door is found on the first floor on the left side of the room. When ?you reach the two brown doors, enter the ??door on the right.

The second?? door is found on the second floor, again on the left side of the room. When you reach the two brown doors here, enter the one on the right once more. You'll know it's the right door when Jennifer automatically uses the Gold Key to enter the room.

Another element of the room with ??armor that's randomized is whether or not Mary will appear in the room. If Mary appears in the room, you either want ??to reset or use the handy Rewind feature to back out of the room and try again. Keep trying until Mary is no longer in the room, otherwise she will drug Jennifer and lock her in a cage.

Once the room with armor is empty, interact with the suit of armor. Next, interact with the glass on the table to get the Silver K?ey.

How to get the ritual key

Jennifer turning towards a toy that's sprung to life in the room with a crib.
Screenshot by Destructoid

Return to the first floor of the Scissorman room and enter the door on the back wal?l near the stairs. Continue through this h?allway, and you'll reach the West Building. You'll know you're in the West Wing because the walls here are all purple.

The worst thing about the West Building?? is that the locations of most rooms ar?e completely randomized on each playthrough. So now you need to enter every room you come across to get a few key items.

One item, the Ritual Key?, can be found in the dark ro??om with a crib. This room is one of the few that remains consistent in where it's placed.

You can typically find the room with the crib on the second floor of the West Building. The room w??ith the crib is in a hallway with three doors all evenly spaced apart. You want to enter the room in the middle to get to the room with the crib.

Interact with the doll sitting on the box near the door to get the Ritual Key. Once the key is collected, the doll will spring to life and attack. Mash the Pani??c button and Jennifer will destroy the doll, allowing you to safely escape the room.

How to get the staff and statue

Jennifer appraoching a green statue in the West Building.
Screenshot by Destructoid

It's randomized whether you'll need the Staff or the Statue to continue down this route. Start by trying to find the library in the West Building. Once there, interact with the bookshelves? until Jennifer notices a piece of paper describing the Statue's location.

If you find a piece of paper, head up to the second floor of the West Building. Go right and keep going until you find a hole in the floor preventing you from going further. Interact with the hole in the floor, then intera?ct with the nearby wooden plank for Jennifer to use it as a bridge.

Continue right until you reach the green statues in the? hallway. Interact with each of the green statues and eventually you'll obtain the Statue item.

If you didn't find a piece of paper, you need the Staff from a room with a piano. In the piano room, interact with the curtain on the left side of the room ??to get the staff. If you actually need the Statue, Scissorman will jump out from the curtain instead.

How to get to the cave

Jennifer in the Ritual Room near a giant pentagram.
Screenshot by Destructoid

With the Ritual Key and either the Statue or Staff in han?d, you're ready to open up entry to the?? cave. The Ritual room is another room that remains consistent in where it spawns. You can find the Ritual room on the first floor of the West Building.

Like the room with the crib, the Ritual room is in a hallway with three evenly spaced doors. Enter the door in the middle to get to the Ritual room??. You'll know you're in the right place if the??re's a giant pentagram on the floor.

If you have the statu?e, use it on the gold cup on the shelf near the candles. If you have the staff, use it on the green flower vase on the right side of the room.

Once this is done a hole will open up in the c??enter of the room. Hop on down and you'll enter the cave.

How to get ending E and F

Scissorman dropping in on Jennifer from the top of the elevator.
Screenshot by Destructoid

In the caves, keep ?running right until you reach the dog. Get closer and closer to the dog, then stop once you can interact with Jennifer. Use the Perfume and Black Robe on Jennifer to sneak past the dog.

What you do here decides whether or not you get ending E or F. If you want Ending E, keep running to the right until you find Lotte. After that, run back to the dog and enter the cave between the lit c??andles.

If you want ending F, enter the cave bet?ween the two lit candles without discovering Lotte's body. Whatever ending you get solely depends on whether or not you find Lotte.

After you enter the cave near the dog, continue running to the right until you reach a room with gi??ant red curtains. Interact with the curtains, then run for your life when the creature attacks. Jennifer will run automatically, but you need to mash the Panic button when Jennifer tries to climb up a hill and escape.

Once you regain control of Jennifer, e??nter the cave in the back between the lit candles. Run straight to the right here and interact with the elevator switch. The elevator won't respond, so you'll need to go back the way you came.

Go ba??ck to the hill where you narrowly escaped the creature. Interact with the device to the left of the gray table, the one with the green light. This will power up the elevator and allow it to be used.

Run back to the el??evator and interact with the switch to get inside. If you're going for ending F, you'll get the ending simply by e?ntering the elevator. If you're going for ending E, select the third floor from the options once you're inside the elevator and enjoy the ride.

As the night goes on and more of Jennifer's friends are taken by malevolent forces, the odds of surviving the night are near zero. Luckily, there's a car in the garage that can be used to escape the nightmare. Here's how to get ending H and ending G in Clock Tower: Rewind.

How to get ending H

Jennifer in the garage near the car and box containing the car keys.
Screenshot by Destructoid

?Once you gain control of Jennifer, go left and? keep going past the room with the window. Once you enter the room with the three doors, enter the door in the middle.

In the bedroom, interact with the bird cage to let the parrot free. Once the bird is free, it will start attacking and shouting at you. Interact with the red be??d sheets to capture and silence the bird.

After that, exit the bedroom and continue headin?g left. Once you encounter Scissorman, run back to the bedroom and hide under the left bed. If you don't deal with the parrot before hiding, the bird will expose your hiding spot to Scissorman, forcing you to run.

Once Scissorman has left the room, go back to the room where you first encountered Scissorman. In this room, continue heading left? past ??the stairs. Continue heading left until you reach the garage with the car.

Interact with the box behind the car to get the Car Key. Use the Car Key on the car three times and Jennifer will muster up the courage to drive away?? from the m??ansion.

How to get ending G

Laura's body stuffed into a knight's suit of armor on the floor.
Screenshot by Destructoid

Getting ending G requires the same setup as ending H. Head to the left, take care of the parrot in the bedroom, encounter Scissorman near the staircase, and hide under the bed to evade the killer. When Scissorman leaves t??he bedroom, you can begin pursuing ending G.

Exit the bedroom and return to the room where you encountered Scissorman. In this room, head up the stairs and go left until you reach the end of the hall. Whe??n you reach the two brown doors, enter the door on the left.

In this room,?? enter the nearby doorway to another room. As soon as you enter the room, pick up the Pesticide near Jennifer's feet. Now, go back to the stairs and head to the first floor.

Once you're on the first floor, head left and enter the brown door. In this hallway, enter the first door you f?ind to reach the kitchen.

In the ??kitchen, use the Pesticide on the fridge in the left corner of the room. The Pesticide will clear out all the bugs in the fridge, allowing you to obtain the Gold Key.

Once you exit the Kitchen, Scissorman will appear. You can escape the chase by returning to the bedroom and hiding under th?e bed once again.

After escaping Scissorman, head b?ack to the room with the stairs and go to the second floor. At the top of the stairs and go left, back to the two brown doors. This time, enter the brown door on the right to use the G?old Key and enter the room.

Interact with the suit of armor in the left corner of the room. After discovering Laura's body, return to the first flo??or and go left. Run past the kitchen and continue left until you reach the garage with the car.

Interact with the box behin?d the car to get the Car Ke??y. Use the key on the car three times and Jennifer will drive away.

Those in the horror scene will be more than aware of Phasmophobia's long-awaited console rel?ease. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S ports of the game launched just a day ago. However, as with so many new releases in this modern gaming era, there are a few teething problems.

In this case, it's effecting players on the Xbox. A recent post over on Reddit has noted how Phasmophobia crashes when playe??d on the Microsoft console. ??While this may only be a problem with the trial version, developer Kinetic Games has issued a brief statement on social media.

//twitter.com/PlayPhasmo/status/1851358006077690119

Posting to X, the studio has acknowledged that there are problems when booting up the trial version on Xbox Series X|S. An additional post says the team has "continued to investigate this issue" and will be sending?? out a f?ix as soon as possible. For now, it's best to keep an eye on any updates.

New content for the spoopy season

The console ports have gone hand-in-hand with the game's recent Halloween "Crimson Eye" patch, which features the Blood Moon event, and some tweaks to the game. This includes according to the patch notes optimization improvements, the ability to invite people v??ia your Steam friend's list, crossplay with the aforementioned PS5 and Xbox releases, plus plenty of fixes.

The console ports of Phasmophobia have felt like a long time coming. The game originally launched for PC back in September 2020 and perhaps because of the pandemic which saw gaming experience a massive uptick in popu?larity as billi??ons were confined to their homes the indie horror game became a massive success.

Kinetic has been promising PlayStation and Xbox versions for some time now, so it feels like a relief to many that they can now get stuck into th?e ghost hunting phenomenon. So long as the developer keeps an eye on any issues that are plaguing consol?e players.

Kuva Lich and Sisters of Parvos weapons are some of the strongest weapons in Warframe, but with Warframe: 1999, a new class of weapon is being added: Infested weapons.?? These come to us by way of a new adversary syste??m: the Technocyte Coda.

There's a ton of content in Waframe: 1999, and a new Prime is on the way, but keep reading to learn what the Technocyte Coda are, how the system will work, and what Infested weaponry you can look forward to playing with when Warframe: 1999 releases later this year.

What are the Technocyte Coda in Warframe?

//www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtF6jiLxc88

The Technocyte Coda are Warframe's latest adversary system that are Infested versions of Kuva Liches or Sisters of Parvos. Technocyte Coda are based on On-lyne, a 1999-era boyband in the Warfarme universe. On-lyne is made up of Zeke, Drillbit, Harddrive, DJ RoM, and Packet.

Instead of fighting ?Liches or Sisters, you'll be chasing Technocyte Coda 'band members' across your star map. However, the Technocyte Coda adversary system doesn't just have a new aesthetic and new weapons to unlock and upgrade?, the system itself has some major upgrades.

How do Technocyte Coda work in Warframe?

Like always, you can't be targeted by a Sister or Lich to chase after a Technocyte Coda. To find a Technocyte Coda, you'll have to defeat Infested enemies in Warframe: 1999 content, which have a chance to drop a uni?que ??item on death.

Then, you'll bring the item to a nearby computer terminal, where you'll complete a hacking puzzle. Once the puzzle is completed, the process will? continue after you extract from your mission, much like how it works once you capture a Kuva Lich or Siste??r of Parvos.

Once extra??cted, you'll be able to see?? your particular Technocyte Coda and any relevant customization in a splash screen, while your Technocyte Coda will rob you of certain resources at the end of missions until you defeat them, like a Sister of Parvos or Kuva Lich does.

You can face off with your Technocyte Coda in any Warframe: 1999 mission, and once yo?u damage it enough, it'll become vulnerable to a Parazon attack. However, you will need a new set of Antivirus Parazon mod??s to use when fighting Technocyte Coda.

Antivirus mods are acquired in a 'specialized bounty mission' and are ?themed around 1999-era antivirus companies. After you damage your Technocyte Coda enough and figure out the correct order of Parazon Antivirus mods, y??ou'll finish off the process with a Railjack mission.

Like with Sisters or Liches, you can either vanquish a Technocyte Coda, or you can convert it for trading. The big change wit?h this system comes ??down to how you acquire certain weapons. Unlike Liches and Sisters, Technocyte Coda aren't attached to specific weapons.

How Technocyte Coda are different from Liches and Sisters in Warframe

Is Warframe 1999 a new game? Explained
Image via Digital Extremes

Instead of being able to see an attached weapon before you start your Technocyte Coda process, vanquishing Technocyte Coda will award you with currency that you can then spend on an Infested weapon of your choice at a vend?or with a rotating selection of weapons.

It's currently unclea??r how much currency vanquishing a Technocyte Coda will award you as well as what the prices of Infested weapons will be. Digital Extremes notes that the rotation will be similar to Ergo Glast's Tenet Weapons, and that system works as follows:

  • Five weapons are available
  • Rotation changes every four days
  • Only one purchase of a weapon is allowed per rotation
  • Weapons have random progenitor bonuses and increases

If the new vendor works exactly like Ergo Glast, you can expect fully upgrading Infested weaponry to take a lot longer than it would with Kuva or Tenet weapons. However, Digital Extremes has said the Technocyte Coda Vendor will be "similar" to Ergo Glast, so there may be changes.

What Infested weapons will be available in Warframe: 1999?

When Warframe: 1999 launches, 10 Infested weapons will be available. These are upgraded versions of pre-existing Warframe weaponry,?? though we don't have their stats just yet:

Primaries:

  • Hema
  • Sporothrix
  • Synapse

Secondaries:

  • Catabolyst
  • Pox
  • Tysis

Melees:

  • Caustacyst
  • Hirudo
  • Mire
  • Pathocyst

Digital Extremes also promises that three all-new Infested weapons will be added, but w??e currently don't have any details on what those weapons will be or how they'll perform.

What is the max level?

The max level in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is Level 55. There are further rewards you can get from prestiging. However, the negative of doing this is that you'll lose your load-outs and weapons. All the level unlocks are relocked, except for the base Operators, emotes, and anything permanently unlocked. According to the official Call of Duty website, these won't be reset:

  • Weapon Progression, Camos, & Reticles
  • Weapon Builds but the builds themselves will be waiting for you once you unlock the weapon again.
  • Challenge Progress & Unlocks
  • Store & Battle Pass Content
  • Operator & Emote Unlocks
  • Owned Weapon Blueprints & other Skins

The positive is that you get a new reward for every ten l??evels for each Prestige run.

The AMES 85 is one of the first assault rifles you'll unlock in Call of Duty Black Ops 6, and it's fantastic for mid to long-range scenarios. Here's how to make the most out of this weapon in the game wit??h your loadout.

What is the best AMES 85 loadout in Call of Duty Black Ops 6?

The best way to go about this AMES 85 loadout is to increase the weapon's accuracy and firepower. We also want?? to improve the magazine by including more ammo. To fulfill this, you'll need the following attachments:

  • Optic: Dobrych 4X
  • Muzzle: Ported Compensator
  • Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag I
  • Rear Grip: Commando Grip
  • Stock: Balanced Stock
  • Fire Mod: 5.56 NATO FMJ or Rapid Fire

Best attachments for AMES 85 in Call of Duty Black Ops 6
Screenshot by Destructoid

Your choice of optic should be determined by how you play the game. If you want to use this as a mid-ranged weapon mostly, go for the Dobrych 4X. The sight line is perfect for me, but you may prefer a different scope. If yo??u want a longer-ranged option pick the Blandwell 7X. Personally, I don't like to use a sniper-like scope with assault rifles due to the recoil, but it's up to you.

Other Attachments you should add

The Suppressor might be the pick for a sniper like the LW3AI Frostline, but for this assault rifle, I prefer the Ported Compensator. You gain better accuracy, improved recoil control, and bet?ter handling.

In order to cause a lot of damage to your opponents, you'll want a devastating barrel. Thankfully, the Reinforced Barrel will ?do the trick with an increased damage range and bullet velocity.

The Ranger Foregrip provides a better s??printing?? movement speed and increased recoil control. It makes this weapon more dynamic and allows you to be on the move from position to position faster.

As the AMES 85 lacks ammo, it's best to have an Extended Mag I in your attachments list. It unfortu??nately lowers the Re?load Quickness but with how fast you lose ammo with this gun, it's worth it.

For the Rear Grip, you should choose the Commando Grip. It increases your Aim Down Sight Speed and Sprint to Fire Speed, letting you be more dynamic on the battlefield. If you like to slide and dive in Call of Duty Black Ops 6, however, you may want the Ergonomic Grip in??stead.

Next, the Stock should be the Balanced Stock. It increases a lot, including:

  • Strafing Movement Speed
  • Movement Speed
  • Hipfire Movement Speed
  • Aim Walking Movement Speed

Having an increase in this many stats helps the AMES ?85 become adaptable to many different sit??uations.

Lastly, you'll want either the 5.56 NATO FMJ or the Rapid Fire mods on your gun. Your penetration and scorestreak damage increases with the 5.56 NATO FMJ while the Rapid Fire gives you an impressive fire rate for close-quarters action. Personally I prefer the former because the Rapid Fire has many downsides like a decreased damage range and bullet velocity. With all of these attachments, your AMES 85 loadout in Black Ops 6 will be dangerous.

The new DLC for Alan Wake II sure is frightening. But nothing is scarier than getting stuck on an o??bscure puzzle. These Computer Passwords are quite tricky. We've created a guide detailing how to find the passwords, and what the passwords are.

Lake House Office Computer

A computer screen with windows for inputting a passcode

The first computer you'll come across is in the main office on the ground floor of the Lake House facility. There's a note detailing that passwords have to be something significant, not a current date, and be 6 numbers. Putting together s??ome context clues around the room will help you figure this first one out. Search the room and look for any text with a bold number. That's likely a hint.

You'll find an article about the actress Hedy Lamarr, and find the significant number 38. You'll also find a document stating that the Lake House will be finished on July 18. Remember that the Doctor whose office you are in is European, so they'd format the date as 18/07. Put these numbers together for the passcod?e.

The passcode is 180738.

Level Sublevel 2 Computer

Deeper into The Lake House is the second sub-floor, with another computer that requires some ??sleuthing to gain access to. You'll need the Level 2 Clearance Keycard to access the room nearby where you'll find some more clues. Inside is a computer tha?t has some emails containing the information you're looking for. A very special day related to a first date between two coworkers. The special day is a week from "this" Friday. "This" Friday being the first one in the week of September 14.

They also mention that the other part of the code is related to a "Brown shape with horns." Next to the terminal is some text about d?ifferent paintings. Find the one with the match?ing that description and examine its number. Put that together with the special date.

A computer sits on a table with some assorted files. Behind it is a wall with a window that shows the larger complex

The passcode is 092225

Other Computers

There are a few more computers elsewhere in The Lake House that require a passcode. However, these are almost always accompanied with a sticky note with the passcode written ?on it. If you do this in real life, please consider at least putting the sticky note under your keyboard and not on the monitor.

After being separated from Amy, Vivian is all on her own to face the supernatural. There's a payphone Vivian can use to call for help, but it's locked behind a door attached to a giant golden statue. Here's how you can open the statue door in Fear the Spotlight.

How to get the screwdriver

After performing the seance with Amy, you'll be led to an abandoned school. Once you make your way down the?? hall, you'll find a door blocked by a golden statue holding out its hands.

From the statue door, head right and enter the double doors. In? this new area, take a right at the?? door with the keycard reader and head around the corner from the vending machine. Here, you'll find a keycard inside the duffel bag on the bench.

Take the Office Keycard back to the door with the keycard reader and use the item to unlock the door. In this room, take a left and head towards the toolbox on the desk. The code for the toolbox is 001. You'll only be able to take the screwdriver sinc?e the pliers are broken.

Use the screwdriver on the vent behind the toolbox, ??near the brown cab??inets. Follow the path and head into the boys' locker room. In the locker room, head straight to the end of the hall, then crouch through the hole in the wall on the left.

How to get the welding glue

Some welding glue stuck in a vending machine in the locker room.

Use the screwdriver here to open the drain on the floor and obtain the two quarters. Once you make your way to the exit, an enemy will appear. Use t?he lockers to hide from the enemy's spotlight, then make a break for the exit once it's safe.

Head back to the area with the duffel bag where you obtained the Office Keycard. Use a quarter on the vending machine here and enter the code B34 ??to get the Welding Glue. Go back to the toolbox in th?e office and use the Welding Glue to fix and obtain the pliers.

How to get the metal rose

Go to the room with the vending machine, then take a left to reach a small patch of dirt near the lockers. Interact with the patch of dirt and click on the di??rt to dig out the metal rose. Once the golden hands are exposed, use the pliers to pry open the fingers and get the rose.

Take the metal rose back to the statue door and put the rose in the?? statue's hands. After getting past this door, put a quarter in the payphone to give Amy a cal??l. You can call her with the number 555-0199.

Writing guides for a living, you usually leave the menu on while you work on each article. However, for this instance with the Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero menus, I furiously turn off the game and g??o to? the PS5 home screen.

That's because the Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero menus are so irritating that they spiral my brain out of focus. The most agonizing thing about these menus is that you'll hear the same voicelines over and over again, sometimes repeating straight after they've said them. You'll either hear the interviewer agonizingly asking questions to Tien and Android 17 over and over, or have Goku ask Den??de what he's up to. Hercule is also a pain as he constantly gets spooked by Goku appearing at his house by instant transmission.

Hercule gets scared every time in the Dragon Ball Sparking Zero menus.
Screenshot by Destructoid

The odd thing about the Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero menus, however, is how the characters speak and then get no response. For example, Dende says nothing when Goku asks what he spends his time doing. It's very offputting. If you're going to have them speak the same lines over and over, at least make it a conversation. It's better than Goku saying, "Hmm, what do I want?" 8 ??times in two minutes.

Unfortunately, that's not the most annoying element of the Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero menus. When you head to the Shop in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, Bulma harasses you with the same voice lines over and over and over again, wishing that Vegeta would take her on a shopping spree. The same annoying tone of voice ?makes me stop writing about unlo??cking a character and turning the game off.

They also p?icked the most annoying character for a part of the main menu, Zen-Oh. In his frustratingly high-pitched voice, he constantly asks Goku to play with him. When you're completing Zen-Oh's Orders, he says the same line again and asks, "Hey, hey, what you gonna play today?" and says "I've got a favor for ya!" He says that second line five times in a minute sometimes. AHHHH! This is my nightmare.

It's not just the voices that are annoying, however. The way the menu is structured also grinds my teeth. You see, Goku transitions between each scene that acts as a menu location. The problem is that this makes the menu feel sluggish and if the left analog stick detects the input going a little to the left or the right, it immediately goes to another menu section. Admittedly, it's a mild inco??nvenience, but it happens so often that it becomes agonizing to deal with. At one moment, I even saw Master Roshi T-Pose.

Hopefully, Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft bring a patch that gives players the option to mute the char??acters. I immediately dread booting the game up because of how annoying the menus are. Thankfully, this fighting game is particularly awesom?e to play, so the gameplay makes up for it.

The key to the display? case sits in the librarian's office. The door to the office is to the right of the display case, however this door is also locked. To open the door to the office you'll need a keycard.

From the office door, turn around and walk towards the front desk. Head towards the left side of the desk, near the printers, and crouch to get behind the front desk counter. The keycards are inside a box under t??he computers.

Take this key card back to the locked door and put it in the keycard reader. In the librarian's office, turn right and pick up the Display Key on the desk near the note. Be sure to also grab the inhaler on the bookshelf, it's not necessary to open the Display Case, but it'??s worth having another healing item.

Use the Display Key on the Display Case and the spirit board is all yours. Now you need to find Amy, turn around, and run straight into the Non-Fiction section of the library. Take a left?? at the smaller bookshelves near the memorial into the Fiction section.

Amy will be sitting at a table near the windows. Sit down at the tab??le and Amy will happily guide you into the world of the supernatural.

Blocking in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is essential if you want t??????????????????????????o win matches offline or online. You'll need to stand your guard against incoming combos and powerful projectiles like a Kamehameha or a Big Bang Attack.

All block moves in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero

There are three different kinds of blocks in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero. The right shoulder button (R1/RB) by itself is your standard block for most attacks. However, you'll need to guard against positional st?rikes too. If your opponent is trying to pull off an overhead attack, hold the right shoulder button and move your left analog? stick up. If your foe sweeps your feet, hold the right shoulder button and move the left analog stick down. It's sometimes hard to detect where to move your character, but you're more often than not safe by pressing RB by itself.

Be careful, however. If you guard in the wrong direction, the opponent can perform a charged kick or punch that will leave you flying like Team Rocket blasting off in the Pokemon series. If you ever get confused, read the full controls here.

More defensive moves to consider

There are additional defensive maneuvers you can perform. At the cost of 2 Skill Count, you can perform a counter. It's costly but can save you in tight situations. Press the right analog stick while the opponent is in a combo to counter them. It's a good way to escape a combo. This also works against Ki attacks (energy blasts) and zooms you towards the foe in a flash. Be careful, however. If y?ou use counters too o??ften, your foe can press the circle button (B on Xbox) to counter your counter.

If your opponent tries to throw you, you can cancel it by pressing the block button. Super Counters can also be performed while an enemy is mid-combo. Press u?p and the regular attack button (square on PlayStation) just as they're about to land a hit to instantly stop the foe. It's hard to pull off, but it's oh so satisfying. Lastly, you can? instant transmission and appear behind an enemy by tapping the guard button just before the attack begins the animation.

Now you know these tips, block in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero and unlock characters like Super Garlic Jr., champ!
