Yanagi, the first five-star premium Agent in Zenless Zone Zero's Section 8, has made quite a splash in the community thanks to her highly unique gameplay. As a character, Yanagi is a lot more complex than most of the roster, but if you're interested in playing her at ??her highest potential, here's everything you need to know.

Best Yanagi Build in Zenless Zone Zero

Jumping right in, Yanagi is an Electric Anomaly character with a significant focus on Shock DoT (Damage over Time) and On-field damage. Thanks to her combo-heavy nature, Yanagi wants to be on the field as long as possible, while you still cycle through the rest of your team to apply buffs and debuffs as applicable. While she does play your standard main DPS role, her kit is highly flexible thanks to the non-static nature of it. Compared to all other characters in Zenless Zone Zero, she is a complex character, but proper play allows her to?? exceed in any of the game's con?tent.

Yanagi's Gameplan

The complexity of Yanagi's kit shows itself when enacting her ideal game plan, which has several moving parts and features. Rather than explain this in one big paragraph, I'll break it up for your clarity. The following is in priority order for Yanagi's goals while she is in play.

Polar Disorder

When Yanagi uses her EX-Special, she is able to apply a special version of the standard Discord mechanic called Polar Disorder to any enemies suffering from an Anomaly. When Polar Disorder is activated, it will deal 15% of the active Anomaly's total damage plus an additional percentage amount (based on Yanagi's Anomaly Proficiency), to targets st?ruck.

Unlike standard Disorder, Polar Disorder does not remove the Anomaly on the enemy, allowing Yanagi to apply this effect in rapid succession provided she has enough Energy. Polar Disorder will also activate on any Anomaly, including Shock, meaning Yanagi can apply Shock to an enemy and trigger Polar Disorder all on her own--a contrast to the standard ??Anomaly team playstyle.

You want to land as many Polar Disorders as possible during Anomaly windows to make the most of Yanagi's damage. Polar Disorder is entirely unique to Yanagi, and it is the source of a majority of her damage, hence its importance on thi?s p??riority list.

Stance Swapping: Jougen and Kagen

Yanagi has two special Stances she uses to dish out damage outside of Polar Disorder. These stances are Jougen and Kagen.

• Jougen (Blue) - Buffs Yanagi's Electric Damage by 10%. Faster attacks, longer string, longer animation lock.
• Kagen (Yellow) - Buffs Yanagi's PEN Ratio by 10%. Slow attacks, shorter string, shorter animation lock.

Yanagi has different attack strings while in Jougen or Kagen, and you can swap which stance she's in by pressing the Special button at any time. You can always tell which Stance Yanagi is in by the color of her hair braid. More importantly, when Yanagi swaps stances, she will retain the effects of the inactive Stance for an additional eight seconds. The idea here is to swap stances frequently enough to maintain both stance buffs at all times.

Additionally, when Yanagi switches stances during the third, fourth, or fifth portion of her basic attack string, her following attack will be sped up, allowing Yanagi to attack faster than normal while also skipping the start-up of her string. This also ensures that Yanagi is only dealing Electric damage and not Physical, which happens during the first and second portions of the basic string. Additionally, during this swap, Yanagi can parry any attack that hits her during the animation.

I k??now th??is is a lot to take in, but it’s much easier to get the hang of when you play her yourself. If anything’s unclear, I really recommend taking Yanagi into the Training Room to practice her moves and get comfortable with her gameplan.

Best Drive Disks for Yanagi in Zenless Zone Zero

Yanagi is an anomaly character who thrives on inflicting shock on her enemies, so she values ATK% and anomaly proficiency (AP) above all other ??stats. That said, PEN Ratio % becomes a highly valuable stat for her if you have o??ther sources of it already.

• Disk 4 - AP or ATK%. Note that ATK% should only be used if you have good AP sub-stats on it.
• Disk 5 - ATK% or Electric DMG%. PEN Ratio% is an option if you have other sources of the stat already.
• Disk 6 - ATK%

Yanagi two main Drive Discs are Chaos Jazz and Thunder Metal, an??d the one you should use on her depends on the type of team you're playing h?er in.

Disorder

If you're playing Yanagi with a focus on applying standard Disorder, then use Chaos Jazz as that will provide her with the most damage. Just make sure you're running a second??, different element Anomaly character with her.

Mono-Electric

Since Yanagi has access to Polar Disorder, she is not strictly tied to running in a pure Disorder team setup and can, instead, be the headliner in an all-electric team composition. In this case, Thunder Metal pulls ahead as it allows Yanagi to permanently ha??ve a 28% ATK boost ??through Shocked enemies.

Best W-Engines for Yanagi in Zenless Zone Zero

Yanagi has a solid selection of W-Engines she can effectively make use of. Without question her own signature W-Engine, Timeweaver is her best option. However, if her signature i?s out of reach, here are some strong alternatives.

• Fusion Compiler - Fusion Complier is the second best option and a five-star W-Engine meaning it provides her with a higher base ATK. Its PEN Ratio % substat means that you should prioritize PEN Ratio % on her gear and team composition.
• Electro-Lip Gloss - Yanagi naturally has excellent Anomaly Build-up which means this W-Engine's effects will stay active almost all of the time. A good four-star W-Engine option.

If you don't have access to any of these three W-Engines, then I highly recommend you reconsider pulling Yana??gi until you do. These are by far her m??ost viable options.

Best Mindscapes for Yanagi in Zenless Zone Zero

At M0, Yanagi is a serious powerhouse in the Zenless Zone Zero meta thanks to her ability to use the Disorder mechanic via her own Polar Disorder. This means that her Mindscapes are largely unnecessary to pull for. That said, if you really enjoy Yanagi's gameplay and want to vertically invest in her Mindscapes, know that the best stopping point would be M2. For your clarity, though, here ??are all six, detailed.

• Know Thy Self, Know Thy Enemy (M1) - When an Anomaly triggers on an enemy, Yanagi gains a Clarity stack. With Clarity, if she's hit, she ignores the attack and becomes immune to all damage for one second. Plus, while she has at least one Clarity stack, she gets an 80 AP boost. It’s a decent damage boost, but the real strength is in her survivability. She can hold up to three Clarity stacks at once, making her incredibly resilient in tough content.
• Outstanding Adaptability (M2) - This Mindscape gives her EX-Special additional functionality. When held, Yanagi will launch additional EX-Special thrusting attacks for 10 extra Energy each. Each extra thrust improves the Polar Disorder multiplier. Yanagi's Polar Disorder also will deal 20% of the Anomaly's effect, instead of its standard 15%. This Mindscape is a considerable boost to Yanagi's power, and is her most important one. Best stopping point.
• Tsukishiro Style Management (M3) - A solid all-around boost to her standard moveset's damage. More damage is always nice, but far from required.
• Chestmaster (M4) - When Yanagi inflicts Shock on an enemy, they will suffer the Exposed effect, which rewards her team with an additional 16% PEN Ratio. Very good, but exceptionally so with other sources of PEN Ratio like Rina and Fusion Compiler.
• "Other Mother" (M5) - This is the same as M3.
• Inhuman Blood (M6) - This is a significantly empowered version of Yanagi's M2, with the added effect of increasing the duration of her Shinrabanshou buff to 30 seconds. Overall, this is a ridiculously strong M6 that only makes her game plan even easier to accomplish.

Best Team Comps for Yanagi in Zenless Zone Zero

Yanagi has a few team compositions because of her r?equired on-field time.

Yanagi/Burnice/Caeser

This is Yanagi's strongest team composition, and it functions like your standard Disorder team. Yanagi is the main damage dealer with Burnice being the sub-DPS via Burn and Afterburn off-field damage. Caeser provides a flat 1000 ATK to the on-field char??acter (which is Yanagi for a majority of the time), while also supporting with her shielding mechanic.

Yanagi/Caeser/Rina

This is Yanagi's strongest Mono-Electric team comp, and it focuses on having Yanagi on-field almost all the time. In this team, Yanagi will be deliv??ering constant Polar Disorders by hitting the Shock status that she triggers herself. Caeser is h??ere to provide her large ATK boost and shielding. Rina is present to activate Yanagi's Passive while also activating her own and providing additional PEN Ratio %.

With the release of Zenless Zone Zero's 1.3 update, a new Spec?ial Agent quest was introduced. If you've started the quest and are seemingly unable to continue the story due t?o a sudden soft lock, I've got the solution that will fix your problem, though it is a bit unusual.

Zenless Zone Zero 1.3 Special Agent Story Soft Lock Workaround (Fix)

If you're playing Zenless Zone Zero on the PC client, you might encou?nter a point in the new Special Agent story where progress halts, leaving you stuck in Immersive Storytelling mode with no way to advance. You are also unable to move, thus softlocking you and preventing you from really doing anything else in the game. Normally, you'd ??have to wait for the developers to fix this sort of problem in this scenario. Although a fix is likely coming soon, there's a workaround you can use now to keep playing the rest of the update content.

To be clear, this problem only exists on the PC client, so if you're stuck, the solution is to load up Zenless Zone Zero through its mobile client. You can do this on any mobile device, though it may take a little time to download if it's not already installed. Once installed, open the game and attempt to continue the storyline on the device. Doing this should resolve the soft lock for you, allowing you to continue playing ??and progressing on the PC client.

If this solution does not work for you, then I'm afraid you will have to wait for the developers to fix the problem and release a fix. Fortunately, HoYoverse, the developers behind Zenless Zone Zero, are quick to fix such disruptive problem??s and will also likely reward pull currency as compensation for y?our troubles.

Burnice, Zenless Zone Zero's newest five-star pyromaniac, has finally touched down with quite the explosive hype behind her. If you're planning to pull her, or already have and are looking to build from scratch, here's everything y??ou need to know to ensure Burnice can utterly cremate your enemies.

Best Burnice Build in Zenless Zone Zero

Starting with some surface-level details, Burnice is a Fire Anomaly character with a huge focus on Fire DoT (Damage over Time) and Off-field damage. You read that correctly: Burnice deals a large portion of her damage while not on the field, contrasting with every other character in Zenless Zone Zero. That isn't to say she isn't capable of playing like a standard DPS, however, as all of her abilities have very high d??amage scaling. This means that Bunrice i??s very flexible with her role, and has several teams and gear setups where she can excel.

Burnice's Gameplan

Burnice's most fundamental game plan is to come on-field and apply Burn and her unique Afterburn mechanic to as many enemies as possible. Enemies afflicted wi?th Afterburn take additional Burn Build-up and Fire Damage when hit by any of her allies, allowing her to fight off the field while taking up as little field time as possible.

Afterburn can only be applied when Burnice has enough Heat, which is her secondary resource that determines how long Afternburn can stay applied. When she has more than 50% Heat, she will enter Nitro-Fuel Cocktail State, which, while active, allows her to?? apply Afterburn to enemies.

Wh??en Afterburn is triggered, Burnice uses a portion of her Heat gauge. To regain Heat, she must use Energy by using EX Specials, creating a constant need to balance both her Energy and Heat gauges. If her Heat is fully drained, she loses her Nitro-Fuel Cocktail State, drastically weakening her overall abilities. Without Heat, she can no longer activate Afterburn or use her Enhanced Basic Attacks, making careful resource management crucial to maintaining her strength.

Best Drive Disks for Burnice in Zenless Zone Zero

Since Burnice is an Anomaly character, she values ATK% and Anomaly Proficiency (AP) above all other stats, thanks to Burn being such a large part of her damage. However, because of her overall stat scaling, can she be built viably with Crit, Crit DMG, PEN Ratio, Anomaly Mastery (AM), and Energy Regen (ER) as secondary stats to lo??ok out for o??n Drive Disks.

• Disk 4 - AP or ATK%. Note that ATK% should only be used if you have good AP sub-stats on it.
• Disk 5 - ATK% or Fire DMG%. PEN Ratio% is an option if you have other sources of the stat already.
• Disk 6 - ATK%, AM, or ER.

The Drive Di??sk sets you should use on Burnice depend on how you plan to build her and how much investment you're willing to put into her.

Sub-DPS Burnice

Burnice is at her strongest?? whe?n she is played with ATK% and AP as her focus while serving as a Sub-DPS for team compositions. With this in mind, Burnice has a few options.

• 4p-Chaos Jazz / 2p-Piece Freedom Blues - This provides a walloping 60 AP to Burnice while also boosting the power of her EX-Specials when swapped in from being off-field. For a majority of roles, this is Burnice's best setup.
• 4p-Chaos Jazz / 2p-Swing Jazz - Instead of the 30 extra AP, Burnice will gain more Energy Regen, making it easier to maintain her Heat Gauge. Only use this if you're having issues with Energy.
• 4p-Chaos Jazz / 2p-Puffer Electro - Puffer Electro offers Burnice some extra PEN Ratio for ignoring enemy defenses. I only recommend this if your Burnice already has additional sources of PEN Ratio from weapons, buffs, or Cinemas/Mindscapes.

Hypercarry Burnice

If you plan to play Burnice on-field as your main DPS character, then there are a few more options open to her for Drive Disks outside of Chaos Jazz. However, as a warning, Hypercarry Burnice is very expensive to build optimally, as she wants ATK%, AP, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG on as many Discs as possible to be truly effective. Note: I don't recommend this setup unless you're prepared to invest significant time farming for Burnice's gear.

• 4p-Inferno Metal / 2p-Chaos Jazz or Freedom Blues - Gives free 28% CRIT Rate to Burnice when any target is Burning, while providing 30 additional AP.
• 4p-Inferno Metal / 2p-Swing Jazz - On-field Burnice may need additional energy, which Swing Jazz will provide.
• 4p-Inferno Metal / 2p-Puffer Electro - As before, the additional PEN Ratio from Puffer Electro will be more effective if Burnice already has additional sources of the stat.
• 4p- Chaos Jazz / 2p-Inferno Metal - Provides Burnice with the largest amount of Fire DMG% she can possibly get. You will also still want to swap characters on occasion to gain the full benefit from Chaos Jazz.

Best W-Engines for Burnice in Zenless Zone Zero

Unsurprisingly, Burnice's best W-Engine is her signature Flamemaker Shaker, as it provides Burnice with everything she needs to be a strong DPS in any team role. That said, Electro-Lip Gloss(R5) and Fusion Compiler are strong competitive opti?ons that allow Burnice to dish out large sums of dama??ge. Fusion Compiler, in particular, works exceptionally well if you can stack Burnice with other sources of PEN Ratio %.

Beyond t?hese?? three options, I don't recommend using anything else outside of niche situations.

Best Mindscapes for Burnice in Zenless Zone Zero

It’s important to note that Burnice is already fully viable and highly effective in the curre??nt meta, even at M0. She doesn’t require any of her Mindscapes to excel. However, her Mindscapes amplify her existing strengths and role options, making them even more potent. If you aim to invest in a few, M2 is the ideal stopping point for most players. For your convenience, here’s a b??reakdown of how each of Burnice's Mindscapes enhances her effectiveness.

• Kindred Flames (M1) - Burnice's M1 is highly potent, as it allows her more leniency on how much Heat you can use, while simultaneously increasing the damage multiplier of Afterburn by a massive 100%. Said Afterburns also accumulate 25% more Burn status. This is a silly strong M1 and is worth the investment if you can get it.
• Extra at No Additional Charge (M2) - This M2 is strong by default, effectively giving Burnice and her allies a free 20% PEN Ratio at all times if playing around Afterburn correctly. However, this Mindscape gets considerably more powerful if running with additional, outside sources of PEN Ratio %.
• Optimistic by Nature (M3) - An across-the-board multiplier boost to most of Burnice's kit. Nice, but not worth the investment if you're planning to stop here.
• Ultimate Fuel Supply (M4) - This Mindscape enhances Burnice's ability to dish out direct damage by giving her Assist and EX Special Attacks a free 30% CRIT Rate at all times. Honestly, this is a really strong Mindscape if you're playing CRIT, but if your focus is on AP, then this is, at best, a nice little extra. It's... okay.
• Dance of Fire and Ice (M5) - This Mindscape is exactly the same as her M3, just even more of a boost.
• Burning Invitation (M6) - M6 is a game-changer for Burnice as it allows her to 'proc' her own special version of Afterburn that doesn't consume Heat and without the need of her teammates. Additionally, using EX Special Attack Double Shot causes Burnice's special Afterburn, Double Shot, and Burn effects to ignore 25% Fire Resistance. If that wasn't insane enough, Double Shot's end fireblast will deal a colossal 1800% additional DMG to Burning Targets, once every 20 seconds. Needless to say, this Mindscape is ridiculously strong, if you can get it.

Best Team Comps for Burnice in Zenless Zone Zero

Burnice has several strong team compositions that she works very well for thanks to her versatile bu??ild options.

Burnice/Jane/Caeser

This is Burnice's strongest team composition, and it functions with Burnice herself acting as sub-DPS for Jane Doe. The team's goal is to cause Disorder, a status effect that occurs when two different Anomalies are applied to an enemy. Ideally, you want Burnice to inflict Burn first and then have Jane 'pop' the Burn with an Assault, which triggers Disorder for massive damage. Caeser's part in the team is for the additional 1000 flat ATK she gives to the on-field Agent, which will mostly ?be Jane in this composition.

Burnice/Piper/Lucy

This composition is also powerful and has the same goal as the Jane team previously mentioned: Disorder. The main difference is that both Burnice and Piper will be playing the sub-DPS role together, and you'll switch back and forth between them far more often than the Jane team. Lucy and Caeser are largely interchangeable in this t??eam, though M6 Lucy offers more damage output specifically for Piper and Burnice because of the continuous nature of their E?X Specials.

Burnice/Caeser/Lucy

If you're playing Burnice as a Hypercarry, this is the strongest composition she has access to thanks to the considerable ATK buff both Caeser and Lucy can consistently provide. This results in a Burnice that will dish out massive damage through her Afterburn, Burn status, and direct damage abilities. Caeser's sh??ield also protects her while she is channeling her flamethrower, and flamethrower hits also activate Lucy's M6, simultaneously.

Burnice/Koleda/Lucy

This team comp a??lso features Burnice as the ma?in damage dealer, aiming to make use of Stun windows for the highest possible Burn damage. As a mono Fire team, her Burns will be diluted between all three characters, which is why you want to ensure that Koleda and Lucy are built with damage in mind (CRIT sub-stats, etc...). Additionally, having CRIT sub-stats on Burnice will also help.

Burnice/Rina/Lucy or Caeser

If you're running Burnice with Fusion Compiler and/or are using he??r M2, then PEN Ratio becomes a highly competitive stat for her to stack. Rina provides a large amount of additional PEN Ratio, and large amounts of it make it stronger overall. Lucy/Caeser continues to provide competent levels of damage while still providing Burnice with her large ATK buff. Ideally, Rina should be M1 and Lucy should be M6 for this team to be competitive with the other comps mentioned.

With the release of Zenless Zone Zero version 1.3, Caesar and Burnice make their official debut as rate-up characters on the game's character banner. While Caesar is already available, Burnice will be coming in just a few weeks, but as they are b??oth rather expensive to pull, which one should you prioritize over the other?

Caesar King vs Burnice - Zenless Zone Zero

There are many factors involved when deciding which of these two five-star characters to pull, but if you're looking for a quick and dirty answer: Caesar King offers the biggest bang for your buck, thanks to her incredibly universal kit. This is not to say Burnice is any sort of slouch, but breaking down both characters and their roles will give a?? clearer picture as to why.

Caesar King

Caesar King has one of the most overloaded kits I've ever seen in Zenless Zone Zero. Despite being a Physical Defense character, she's the ultimate "Jack-of-all-trades, Master-of-One," able to ??thrive in every team role, seamlessly fitting into any team composition, while al??so offering the best team defense buffs in the entire game.

S??he provides an almost unbreakable team-wide shield, a 25% damage debuff on enemies with nearly constant uptime, and a massive 1000 ATK buff to allies, also with near-permanent uptime. Her stunning capabilities and ability to parry attacks without character swapping add to her absurd versatility, all while she can deliver constant viable DPS.

These factors allow her to easily serve as both the main DPS a??nd stunner on any team, which is something no other character in Zenless Zone Zero can currently claim. Mind you, this is all Caesar King at C0, without additional Cinemas. Needlessly to say, her insane versatility makes her one of the easiest pull recommendations I can give.

Burnice

Burnice, on the other hand, is much more specialized, the norm for most characters in Zenless Zone Zero. She is a Fire Anomaly character whose main role is to dish out as much Fire DoT (damage over time) as possible. Her goal is to burn everything to the ground with her dual flamethrowers, and she excels at doing this wi??thout question.

In terms of raw damage, Burnice will vastly ?outperform Caesar because she can be?? played in dual Anomaly teams, allowing Discord procs to utterly destroy her foes. Additionally, because Burnice does so much damage on her own, she can be your main on-field DPS while running with two supports.

What's more, Burnice's actual kit allows her to dish out massive Fire damage while she is off-field, too, thanks to her Afterburn mechanic. Afterburn is a debuff she can apply that will allow her teammates to 'proc' additional Fire damage when they strike the afflicted foe. This means tha?t Burnice will also excel in teams where she is the sub-DPS instead, as she does not need much field time to set up her debuff on every enemy on screen.

Beyond that, Burnice does not offer mu??ch else for a team. She is a tried-and-true damage dealer, and she is designed around that concept, pigeonholing her into that role. While Burnice's damage is very impressive, Caesar offers so much more than just damage that will allow her to remain relevant long into Zenless Zone Zero's life. Burnice is far less versatile than Caesar, which is why Caesar is the one you should invest in if you have to pick just one of these characters.

How to adopt Inky in ZZZ

You can adopt Inky in Zenless Zone Zero by maxing their trust rank before completing the Adoption Plan commission. Inky's trust gauge can be unlocked by completing Spending Time with Inky, which only becomes available after clearing Soldier 11's Agent Story and reaching Chapter 2: Interlude. If clearing both tasks failed to trigger the commission for you, try completing Anby's Problem as well.

After triggering Spending Time with Inky, you can complete it by talking to Soldier 11 in the alley behind the Go??dfinger Arcade. All of Inky's following Trust Ran??k commissions will also take place in this area.

How to raise Inky's trust

The only way to raise Inky's trust in ZZZ can be done by spotting them on Sixth Street and picking the right actions during their chance trust events. Continue doing that until you complete t?he game's third chapter and reach Intermission Reverberations.

If Inky's trust has been raised to an acceptable level at any time after you finish Chapter 3, you will unlock the Inky's Request commission, which will unlock the choice to feed or pet the black cat during each encounter. To get the best results and steadily raise their trust to Friendly, only pet Inky if their meows are followed by "Perhaps it's trying to ask for your help". If the ?phrase starts with "Maybe", select "Pull out a can of cat food."

Once Inky's trust reaches Friendly, they will begin to appear together with a few other cats in three locations; at Coff Cafe, by a lion statue on the alleyway leading to the arcade's back alley, and atop the steps facing the Remodeling Shop. To boost their trust rank if found in any of the locations, always pick "Put out a can of cat food" and then "Feed the little black cat".

After having a few more encounters while in the Friendly rank, you will unlock another ev?ent featuring Inky and Soldier 11, where she will for the first time look back while walking away. ?Upon its conclusion, Inky will begin to appear alone in front of Coff Cafe, atop the dumpster by Officer Mewmew, and atop the motor tricycle parked by the Noodle Shop. Be aware, as you won't be able to spot the cat from a distance in any of the locations. Instead, if they are nearby, the events will play once you get close.

During the encounters, Inky's meows will indicate which action you should choose. To be more specific, if they say ''Meow~ Purr~ Purr~", pet them??, if not, feed them. To reach the Close rank, continue to pick the right options in all trust event types until you trigger Eat Up, Inky.

However, there seems to be something str??ange at work here when a mysterious enemy?? threatens the world.

Behind the scenes, there's also a new Agent Story, A Stroke of Luck. Go out on the town with Burnice to lev??el up her fr?iendship and earn some EXP.

You can unlock this new Mewmew feature after completing Version 1.1's Special Episode, Undercover R&B. Once that's out of the way, you'll be enlisted in a quest to check your notebook?? at Random Play. Complete this objective to start Mewmew's Rebuild Ridu challenges.

After a couple of days have passed, return to the same place where you initially found Mark. He'll prompt you with the mission we're looking for: the Pure ?Talent Acting. Prepare for battle utilizing an Ice and Ether Agent.

The second phase requires you not to get hit 10 times in the match. It'll be pretty challenging to complete with the hordes of enemies and explosive mines. I suggest ignoring the big Ethereal that shows up later since fighting isn't really the main focus here. But? if you h?appen to fail, don't stress too much; it'll still be marked as completed, regardless.

Begin the first part of the Number One Fan mission by speaking to Archie in Ballet Twins Road. Equip a Physical and Ice wielder to pinpoint the enemy's w??eaknesses. After this, check your Commissions to speak to Fahmira. For the Number One Fan II mission, use ??the same Agents again to knock out the opposing side once more.

How to complete A Sumo Never Backs Down

Return to the Ballet Twins Road Officer Mewmew location to begin the A Sumo Never Backs Down mission. Talk to Qiuyuan, who will be with a Sumoboo, to trigger the Combat quest in the Hol??low. Electric and Fire characters thrive in this fight, but it's best to avoid the Physical attribute since enemies are resistant to it.

How to complete No Guts No Glory

To unlock the No Guts No Glory quest in ZZZ, interact with the Bagboo at Sixth Street's Remodeling Shop. Complete the Please Help! mission with a Fire Agent, and make sure not to use an Electri??c wielder (they'll be resistant ??to this attribute).

When the fight's over, return to?? the Remodeling Shop after a day or two to talk to Mrs. Yani. The No Guts No Glory quest will now unlock, where you must push color blocks toward the green highlighted boxes. It doesn't matter which colors are placed there, just as l??ong as they're moved to these spaces.

How to complete Phantom of the Ballet Twins questline

The last Rebuild Ridu challenge involves a three-part quest. Locate Hong and speak to the old man in Ballet Twins Road. The first quest is fairly easy to do, but the next phase will be most challenging in the Mewmew saga. Once you've completed Part 1, Part 2 triggers shortly after a day or so passes. Meet up with Hon?g at the Random Play main base and enter ?the Hollow for the Yesterday's Stage Puzzle quest.

Before going in, equip an Ice, Ether, and Fire Agent. Use the Infrared Ca?mera to guide you through each map. The goal here is to avoid the blockages in the path that can only be seen with the camera. Switch back and forth with the two lenses to plan a suitable route. Remember, if you see any enemies in the path, use the Infr?ared Camera state to wipe them out (you can pass through a brick wall with it, too). Make sure to push those crates out of the way to gather all the rewards.

You may have trouble finding a w??ay out of the area with the few crates blocking the entrance. Move this box to the left to solve the? puzzle:

If you ever need to restart their positions, there's a button o??n the right that can restore them to their original states. We'll now be moving on to Phantom of the Ballet Twins III, the quest's final part. Converse with Rhodes again at the same spot you found Hong during the Morning or Afternoon. Fortunately, there's no need to worry about any combat or puzzles, given that it just needs you to take a picture with Rhodes.

With the eight quests done, you'll complete all the Mewmew Rebuild Ridu challenges in Zenless Zone Zero. There may be more objectives at a later date, but for now, these are the only ones ava??ilable.

Like with all S-Rankers in the game, the best W-Engine for Qingyi in Zenless Zone Zero is her signature Ice-Jade Teapot. Fine-tuned by her, the engine will offer both 18% Impact and 713 Attack at level 60, all while?? also allowing her to get another huge boost in Impact and a team-wide buff by acquiring Tea-riffic stacks.

To be more specific, while equipped with her signature S-Ranker, Qingyi will be able to gain on??e Tea-riffic stack per basic attack hit scored (to a maximum of 30), with each of them boosting her Impact by 0,7%. Once 15 stacks are acquired, th??e engine will then provide the party with a 15% all-DMG boost for 10 seconds. Each stack will last for 8 seconds and be counted separately. All values above are related to the engine at one star.

If you don't have her signature, The Restrained will be my main pick for Qingyi. Offering an overall Impact value on par with our main pick, Lycaon's signature will allow her to get a 6% Basic Attack Impact boost after performing each of her skills (up to five stacks or a 30% increase). All values above are related to the engine at one star.

Best Drive Discs for Qingyi

The best Drive Disc composition for Qingyi is a mix of a 4-piece Shockstar Disco and a 2-piece Woodpecker Electro. While using a full Shockstar Disco set is a m??ust given its 6% Impact boost and ability to increase the daze of her Basic/Dash Attacks and Dodge Counters by 20%, the 2-piece Woodpecker Electro will offer a much-needed 8% boost in Crit Rate.

Recommended stats and substats

So you can boost Qingyi's damage and ability to apply daze, I recommend that you go with CRIT Rate for your fourth Drive Disc, Electric DMG Bonus for your fifth, and Impact for the sixth one. Don't worry about ATK here, as you will be able to get a fair amount of it through her Additional Ability. For substats, prioritize CRIT Rate and DMG. Keep in mind that you must reach 50 and 100% on the stats respect??ively if you want to maximize her damage, so make that a priority.

Her kit's ability to stand on its own also makes her a great upgrade from Mindscape 1 to 5 Anby in all teams featuring attackers. During the Undercover R&B episode, you'll take control of Version 1.1's newest up-and-coming character, Jane Doe. She's on a secret mission involving the Mountain Lion Gang, where she eventually stumbles upon a locker that requires a code. To get you back on track, we'll show you the correct passcode in Zenless Zone Zero's Undercover R&B Special Episode.

Zenless Zone Zone Undercover R&B six-digit code, explained

According to the note near the locker, clues can be found throughout the room to determine the correct passcode. More specifically, it mentions how frequently shown numbers are the key to solving this puzzle. If you look at the piece of paper in the office, you'll see that the six-digit code 101225 appears the most, which is the correct passcode to the ZZZ Undercover R&B episode.

If you're having trouble entering this room, you can go through the gates on the right side of the counter. However, some players have indicated that these gates wouldn't allow access. In this case, restart the game and try to go through it again to fix the? issue.

Once the locker opens, head to the equipment room and grab the master keycard. The path from h?ere is relatively straightforward, but you'll still need the Port Peak videotape to satisfy the gangster's request. You can find it in the Proxy's main hub at Random P?lay.

Although the Proxy will take point at this stage, you'll play as Jane Doe again in the next phase. It's the perfect chance to get familiar with her combat and movement, as she will appear as a banner in the second half of Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.1.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.1, also known as the Undercover R&B update, takes us on yet another adventure across the dreadful Hollow. There's plenty of new content to go around, including the much-anticipated banner for the vigorous S-Rank characters. All Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) Version 1.1 changes

The first Version 1.1 banner offers the electrifying Qingyi, an S-Rank character with Stun and Electric abilities. Not only can you pull for this Agent, but you can also experience her life through her eyes in the Case of a Missing Bangboo storyline.

Jane Doe and Seth Lowell will join Qingyi in the second part of ZZZ Version 1.1. You'll get an early taste of their dynamic moveset during the Undercover R&B Special Episode. However, it'll ??take a bit of grinding to unlock this episode, as it requires completing Chapter 3 of the main story.

Explore the new areas, New Eridu Public Security and Gang Transfer Station, in the Undercover R&B episode, which will ??be available on launch. These destinations are crucial to the backstory of the new characters, engaging you in their world and getting you ready for their official arrival in the second half.

Of course, it wouldn't be an update without a few new toys to try. This includes the Officer Cut S-Rank Bangboo, S-Rank Ice-Jade Teapot W-Engine, and more. New events are also on their way, sta??rting with the All-New Programs, providing Encrypted Master Tapes each time you log in. They'll be handy to use t??o unlock the latest characters and gear.

And, if that wasn't enough, there are a few minor updates that'll certainly make your experience much more?? entertaining. One, in particular, is the new Selfie Mode, featuri?ng a few poses to get the perfect shot. Plus, there's some customizable content to look forward to, such as avatars, namecards, and backgrounds.

• S-Rank Agent [Qingyi (Stun �?Electric)]

  • Qingyi is an Agent who can rapidly Stun enemies and inflict more DMG on those Stunned enemies. While inflicting Electric DMG, she can build up Flash Connect Voltage, entering the [Flash Connect] state after accumulating up a certain amount.
  • While in this state, hold down Basic Attack to unleash a Finishing Move, inflicting [Subjugation] on enemies and increasing the target’s Stun DMG Multiplier.
  • Exclusive S-Rank Agent [Qingyi (Stun �?Electric)] can be obtained from Signal Searching the “Untainted Jade�?channel.

• S-Rank Agent [Jane (Anomaly �?Physical)]

  • Jane is an Agent who relies on quickly triggering [Assault] Anomaly to deal damage. Her moves accumulate Passion Stream and she enters [Passion] state. While in this state, Jane’s Anomaly Buildup Rate and ATK will increase, and some of her moves will be enhanced.
  • During Jane’s [Passion] state, different moves will consume or restore Passion Stream. When Passion Stream has been depleted, Jane will leave the [Passion] state.

• A-Rank Agent [Seth (Defense �?Electric)]

  • Seth is an Agent who can provide Attribute Anomaly and survivability buffs to squadmates. By unleashing his EX Special Attack, Seth can build up [Resolve] and gain [Shield of Firm Resolve]. Once [Resolve] exceeds a certain amount, hold Basic Attack to consume [Resolve] and launch [Basic Attack: Lightning Strike �?Electrified]. His Finishing Move will launch against enemies after performing continuous attacks.
  • When Seth hits an enemy with a Finishing Move or Assist Follow-Up, it will trigger a Quick Assist for the previous squad member and provide [Shield of Firm Resolve] for that squad member. A squad member with [Shield of Firm Resolve] has their Anomaly Proficiency increased.
  • Exclusive S-Rank Agent [Jane (Anomaly �?Physical)] and A-Rank Agent [Seth (Defense �?Electric)] can be obtained from Signal Searching channels that will be released later.

Phase I:

Daze from [Basic Attacks] is increased by 15%. DMG from [Chai?n Attacks] is increased by 100%.

Agents deal an additiona??l? 50% damage to Stunned enemies.

Phase II:

When an enemy is Stunned, all squad members gain 2 stacks of [Fervor], and when an Attribute Anomaly is triggered, all squa??d members gain 1 stack of [Fervor]. [Fervor] lasts for?? 20s and stacks up to 3 times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.

For each stack of [Fervor], ?Agent ATK inc?reases by 10% and Anomaly Proficiency increases by 10 points.

Phase III:

Increases Agent ATK by 20%, and Attribut?e Anomaly DMG by 30%.

The W-Engine banner will contain the Ice-Jade Teapot for Qingyi, and will also have an increased chance to drop H?ousekeeper for Corin, and Starlight Engine for Billy.

The Bangboo Banner

Zenless Zone Zero features creatures called Bangboos, tiny little helpers that will pitch in during combat with some buffs or even do damage themselves. The Bangboo Banne??r only uses currency you can earn from playing the game, so you c??annot buy premium currency for this banner. You will be guaranteed an S Rank within 80 pulls and will get to choose it yourself, so you can pull the best Bangboo for your favorite characters easily. Zenless Zone Zero has often been compared to fighting games due to its input-based abilities for certain characters. While most characters' abilities are well-documented, some have inputs that ar??e either not listed in any moveset or are so obscure they can easily be overlooked—until now.

All Hidden Character Inputs in Zenless Zone Zero

To be clear, not every character in Zenless Zone Zero has an obs??cured input, but many have special mechanics tied to their abilities that are not obvious. As I go down the list, I'll make sure to highlight which mechanics, moves, and/or abilities are hidden outright or are just not out in the open, bugs excluded.

Nicole

Nicole is probably the character with the most impactful hidden moves (plural), as they directly affect her performance and are important to make use of thanks to her supportive capabilities. Her EX Skill, Stuffed Sugarcoated Bullet, has three variants, and depending on how you input the?? move, changes the end result of ??the skill.

By performing a full-circle motion (moving the stick 360 degrees or pressing WASD in circular succession) during the start-up charge of Nicole's EX skill, if you hold her charge, she performs a secondary version of the move that lets her charge longer than the standard. You'll know if you succeeded because Nicole will sit down on her suitcase while charging. Th??e result is a longer-lasting Ether orb (if you have her Cinema leve?l for this functionality). This allows Nicole to shred enemy defenses longer, which is a big help for DPS.

The second variant also requires you to perform a full-circle motion during her EX skill's start-up, but instead of holding, release the charge just after you perform the hidden input. Doing so will allow Nicole to fire off her EX skill faster than normal with the added benefit of it being launched like a mortar at her target enemy, allowing it to bypass enemies in the way of her intended target. You'll know if you performed this one correctly if Nicole falls down while casting her skill.

Lucy

Lucy's secretive input isn't nearly as important as Nicole's in terms of functionality, but it does have a use if you want to constantly inflict her Fire Damage ov??er her standard Physical during her basic attack string. It's also easy to perform: no crazy circular inputs here.

When Lucy performs the fourth attack in her basic attack string (the one that causes her Guard Boars to spin), you can click again to finish her string with her fifth and final basic attack. However, if you continue clicking past this point, instead of Lucy restarting at the first attack in her string, she will repeatedly use her fourth and fifth attacks endlessly until you stop pressing basic attack. This is useful because her fourth basic attack deals pure Fire damage, which helps build up the Burn status effect.

Koleda

Koleda doesn't have a secret input, but she does have a very useful obscured mechanic that is easy to overlook if you're not paying attention. There's no need to perform it because it happens automatically, but you do need to be consciou??s of it, to make use of it.

During the fourth attack in Koleda's basic attack string (the one that launches her into the air), Koleda is completely invulnerable to all forms of damage while she remains airborne. Th??is means that Koleda does not need to dodge often if you can time her fourth attack to land during the enemy's attack. Useful if you're trying to reach her final attack to activate her EX skill for stunning.

Anby

An?by is a pretty basic character, all things considered, but she does have one useful hidden input that will allow her to land her stun combo slightly faster. This input is eas??y to pull off, but only if you know when to actually use it.

During the third attack in Anby's basic attack string (the one that makes the hilt of her sword glow blue for a second), you can hold down the basic attack to perform her Thunderbolt mo??ve, which does a lot of stun damage, and a lot of damage to enemies that are stunned. This is normal for her.

However, while her sword hilt is glowing blue, you can, instead, use her EX Skill mid-combo, which makes it come out faster, removing the start-up frames from the move. More so, while Anby is airborne, if you hold basic attack, Anby will pick up her basic attack string where she l??eft off, allowing you to go straight into her Thunderbolt move right after her EX Skill. The benefit is a slightly faster version of her typical stun-building combo.

Zhu Yuan

Zhu Yuan, surprisingly, has quite a few obscured mechanics in some of her moveset. While none of it requires any crazy additional ?inputs like Nicole, there are a few things you'll want to know about if you're playing her.

Starting with the biggest impact mechanics, Zhu Yuan has several invulnerability frames in her moveset. The first is during her fourth basic attack in her basic attack string (the one that makes her do an aerial backflip). During the flip portion, she cannot be hit by any attack. This is useful because the fourth basic at??tack also restores ammo to her gun, which is highly important for her DPS.

Zhu Yuan is also fully invulnerable anytime she is in the middle of her strafing dash basic (while she is diving either left or right, firing her gun). Speaking of her strafing dash basic, if you press Dodge, any directional input, and basic attack together at any time during any of her combos, she will perform her strafing dash basic, This is extremely us?eful for safe repositioning since many of her attacks launch you toward the enemy without addit??ional input.

Lastly, if you continue pressing Zhu Yuan's basic attack following her third basic attack, without throwing in any additional inputs, she will continuously perform her third, fourth, and fifth basic attack string without needing to start at the beginning. This is useful because the fourth attack ?in her string restores one ammo. However, because of how long this sequence is, it may be hard to get off against aggressive enemies.

However, you only have limited currency to use for pulling, and often pulling both is a difficult endeavor for most people, so let's talk about which one of these?? premium characters you should chase after.

Qingyi or Jane Doe: Who has the best value in Zenless Zone Zero?

To accurately assess the value of Qingyi and Jane Doe, it’s important to understan?d their roles and how they compare to their four-star counterparts.

Qingyi is an Electric Stun character renowned for her exceptional ability to stun enemies. In fact, her proficiency in stunning dwarfs that of Anby, the only other Electric Stun character currently available. Qingyi’s abilities go beyond mere stunning; she can amplify the damage multiplier of stunned enemies, significantly boosting the damage output of your DPS characters. This makes her a substantial asset to any team. What sets Qingyi apart is her versatility: s??he doesn’t need to pair with specific factions or elements. Instead, she thrives with any Attacker on her team, allowing her to seamlessly integrate into almost any lineup.

Jane Doe, in contrast, is a Physical Anomaly character with an impressive knack for activating the Assault status effect. She effectively ??replaces Piper in this role, who is already quite adept at activating Assault. Jane Doe’s primary strength lies in her superior DPS capabilities and her ability to quickly build up Assault, which is crucial for maximizing damage through combo status effects. However, her Physical typing poses a challenge. Given that Piper excels at building and activating Assault in challenging content already, Jane Doe’s role as a DPS character may not be as essential given Piper’s effectiveness.

Considering both characters and their contributions, Qingyi emerges as the more valuable long-term investment. Anby’s performance pales when compared to Qingyi’s, and while Piper is highly effective in her role, Jane Doe’s DPS capabilities might not justify replacing an already strong character. Qingyi’s universal stun ability and integration into any team make her an indispensable asset, whereas DPS characters, including Jane Doe, are often easier to replace as new options become available. Thus, Qingyi is the clear choice for a long-term pull.

Of course, pull what you like though. Overall, 'Fun Factor' is an aspect of character collecting in a gacha game that should still be considered, especially when pulling a new character. If you don't enjoy a character, then forcing meta upon yourself will kill your fu??n in the long run. Keep that in?? mind.

There's a catch, however, as the effect lasts for 10 seconds and can only be triggered at 20-second intervals. If you want to double down on her Ratio buff instead, going with the A-Ranker Slice of Time can also work.

Best Drive Discs for Rina in ZZZ

As our goal lies in buffing her supporting capabilities above all else, the best drive disc composition for our Rina build is a 2-piece Freedom Blues paired with a 4-piece Swing Jazz. While Freedom Blues will buff her ability to trigger Shock through an +30 Anomaly Proficiency buff, Swing?? Jazz will provide 20% ER and allow her to buff the party's DMG?? by 15% after performing either a Chain Attack or her Ultimate.

Swing Jazz's ER boost will also a?ll??ow you to always have Rina's EX Special Attack on deck, thus guaranteeing that you will be able to constantly trigger Quick Assists and make full use of her Pen Ratio buff.

Best stats and substats

I recommend that you ??go with Anomaly Proficiency for the fourth drive disc to maximize your team's ability to trigger Shock. For the fifth and sixth partitions, always go with PEN Ratio (to increase her buff) and either Anomaly Mastery (if using an ER W-Engine) or Energy R??egen. Substat-wise, focus on Anomaly Mastery above all else.

The best team for Rina in Zenless Zone Zero features Anton as its main DPS and Grace as its sub-DPS/Shock support. Also considered the game's premier electric team, this composition will allow you to get the most out of Rina's buffs by both constantly triggering Shock and having in Anton a massive source of cumulative attribute DMG. When?? using this team, you must have Anton in the firs?t slot and Rina in the third so that he will be called with Quick Assist.

If you don't have Grace, Anby will be my main pick for the open slot, as she will provide a good amount of Daze while keeping the team's core intact. Using Koleda or Lycaon in Anby's place can also work great if you are looking to make use of Disorder. If you don't have Anton, I recommend pairing Rina with Grace and Anby/Lycao??n for an Anomaly-focused team.

After a strong launch, Zenless Zone Zero has revealed details ??for its first major content update. Here’s a summary of ZZZ’s 1.1 special programs, in?cluding new characters, events, and a whole new game mode! 

Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.1, titled "Undercover R&B," releases on August 14. It will continue Wise and Belle’s journey in ??New Eridu as they team up with N.E.P.S to take on the infamous Mountain Lio?n Gang. 

ZZZ 1.1 Polychrome code

There was one redemption code revealed during the stream: UNDERCOVERRNB. Redeem it either in-game or on the official redemption page. Make sure you’re logged in on the correct account, and act fast! This code expires on August 4 at 10:5?9 a.m. CT.

New characters in 1.1

There are three new playable characters coming to ZZZ in Version 1.1: Qingyi, Jane Doe, and Seth Lowell. 

Qingyi is an S-Rank Electric Stun agent in Zhu Yuan’s security squad. We met her as an NPC during the main story missions, and now, she will be playable. She appears to be a melee unit, striking quickly to build up Daze in an AoE. When she deals ??Electric damage, Qingyi gains stacks of “Flash Connect Voltage,�?which allows her to use stronger attacks.

Jane Doe is a high-ranking member of the ??Mountain Lion gang, though her introduction card enigmatically says “Faction Unknown.�?She is an S-Rank Physical Anomaly unit who unleashes a flurry of quick strikes to build up her Attribute Anomaly on enemies. Jane will use a Passion Stream mechanic to enter the Passion State, allowing her to unleash a series of fast attacks.

Seth Lowell is another member of Zhu Yuan’s security squad. As an A-Rank Electric Defense unit, Seth confers a shield to his teammates, preventing them from taking damage. He can also strike enemies with a sword, though, dealing Electric damage. H?e protecc, but he also?? attacc.

There will also be a new Bangboo in ZZZ Version 1.1: Officer Cui Bangboo. When there are two or more N.E.P.S officers in your team, Officer? Cui will perform follow-up attacks as part of your attack chain. Officer Cui will be added to the Bangboo lineup on the Signal Search page, where you can select him as your targeted rate-up Bangboo. 

ZZZ Version 1.1 banners

The first half of ZZZ Version 1.1 will feature the Qingyi (S) with her sign????ature W-Engine Ice-Jade Teapot (S).

New game mode: Inferno Reap

A new game mode called Inferno Reap will be available starting with the 1.1 update. It looks to be a challenging boss fight where Proxies take on Nineveh directly. There’s no TV-screen Hollow navigation, just pure combat. To access Inferno Reap, you need to have cleared the Withering Garden stage in Hollow Zero. T??here’s no limit to how many times you can take on this cha??llenge, so pick your favorite teams and put them to the test!

The critical hit can be triggered once every 7.5 seconds and will deal 600% of his DEF as extra DMG (at one star), thus turning his already devastating EX Special into an Ultimate on cooldown?.

If you have yet to acquire our top pick, the best F2P and overall W-Engine for Ben is [Identity] Base (at five stars). Apart from its good DEF boost (32% level 60), the B-Ranker will allow Ben to get an extra 32% ??boost after being hit. For the fifth and sixth partitions, go with Fire DMG Bonus and DEF. Going with DEF and ER can also work for those looking to maximize his EX Special's availability. Substat-wise, focus on DEF a?nd CRIT DMG when using Big Cylinder. In all other cases, try to get at least 50% Crit Rate and 100% Crit DMG to maximize your numbers.

The best pick for her by a mile, the S-Ranker will offer? one of the most over??powered stat combinations in the game by pairing its 713 base attack and 48% CRIT DMG (at level 60) with an innate 15% Crit Rate boost.

To make it an even bigger must-pull, using it will also allow Zhu Yuan to get eight stacks of Charge af?ter performing her EX Special Attack. Upon performing a basic attack (which includes her Please Do Not Resist enhanced shots), she will then consume a stack and increase the skill's damage by 35%. All of the values above are related to the engine at one star.

If you are like me and have yet to pull her signature, my main pick will be Soldier 11's The Brimstone. Although lacking a Crit substat, the engine will bring a lot to the table through its 684 base attack, 30% ATK, and by allowing her to further boost the stat by up to 16% (at one star) by performing Basic/Dash Attacks and Dodge Counters. Using Steel Cushion or the BP-Exclusive A-Ranker Cannon Rotor can also work given their Crit Rate substats ??and passives.

Best F2P W-Engine for Zhu Yuan

The best F2P W-Engine for Zhu Yuan in ZZZ is Starlight Engine. Even if not a game changer in any shape or form (ev?en at five stars), the A-Ranker will offer a very similar combo as The Brimstone at one star by pairing its 595 base ATK and 25% ATK substat at level 60 with a handy and easy-to-trigger 12% Attack boost.

If you are looking for a more substantial damage infusion and don't mind the loss in ATK, Street Superstar will be my main pick. At one star, the engine will offer the same level 60 base and ATK% values as Starlight Engine, all while also increasing Zhu Yuan's Ultimate DMG by 15% per chain attack performed by the party before its activation (to a maximum of three stacks?).

Best Drive Discs for Zhu Yuan

A must for all Ether DPSs, the best drive disc composition for Zhu Yuan in Zenless Zone Zero is a 4-piece Chaotic Metal paired with a 2-piece Woodpecker Electro. While the latter is an obvious pick given her lack of Crit Rate, Chaotic Metal will provide Zhu Yuan with a 10% boost in Ether DMG and a 20% increase in CRIT DMG.
