We learned yesterday that Telltale is working on The Walking Dead game series based on the TV show and we got some more details on the project last night on what this will entail exactly. First of all, this is not going to be the standard affair, a good thing in my opinion. It’s not going to be a shooter or a zombie slaughtering game. This is a game that’s going to be focusing on humans trying to survive and keep their humanity amongst the zombie crisis and against other survivors that can be potential threats.
Robert Kirkman, the creator of The Walking Dead series, feels that “Telltale Games are a great choice for bringing The Walking Dead to life as interactive entertainment. They care as much as [he does] about the story and characters while seamlessly weaving that into the games they build.” Robert continued his praise for the company by stating that anyone who knows him knows that he’s ecstatic “to work with the same people putting out the coolest Jurassic Park game ever.”
This multi-year deal will see The Walking Dead videogame infect the PC, Mac, console, handheld, mobile devices and even social gaming media (Facebook?) by the end of 2011. That’s all Telltale would spill for now, but you can keep up with any new info that pops up over on the .
