Terminator survival game in the works at Nacon

No name yet, but here’s a teaser

The “one last thing” at the Nacon Connect 2022 showcase was a new Terminator game for PC and consoles, and while we don’t have a name yet — or anything concrete, footage-wise — we do know this is the “first survival game set in the Terminator universe.”

I bet you can predict everything that happens in this teaser 𒉰trailer.

Nacon’s Terminator survival game is in production at Nacon Studio Milan, rather than Teyon, the team behind Terminator: Resistance, which some fans have rallied around.

Open-world survival in the wake of Judgment Day

“The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic open world and features an original story that builds on the events of the official films,” .

“You play as a group of nuclear apocalypse survivors fighting to stay alive in a time period between Judgment Day and the creation of John Connor’s resistance.”

With little to grasp yet, this is a harder sell than another ’80s-icon-turned-game, RoboCop: Rogue City, which shared the first look at gameplay during Nacon’s stream.

After playing way too many survival games, I can imagine what this game could look like — and really, I feel like it could go either way. Genre, scope, and budget are✃ all top of mind when it comes to licensed games like this. And to me, this team is a wildcard. I am vaguely into the idea of fi🌠ghting for life in an intimidating machine-dominated world, though.

Are you open to a Skynet survival game, or have you had your fill of Terminator tie-ins by now? Come to think of it, I’ve gone pretty deep in the Sega Genesis and SNES libraries over the years, but I’ve never touched . Hmm.
