The second story DLC for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has been hit by a last-minute delay, Ubisoft has confirmed, surprising everyone who forgot about said DLC. release date last month, Secrets of the Spires will now launch on November 28.
It’s not a massive delay by any means, but Ubisoft still took the time to , along with an apology.
“Due to a critical last-minute issue, the launch date of the Secrets of the Spires story pack for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is moving to November 28,” Ubisoft wrote in the message. “We know many of you are eagerly awaiting this new adventure in the Western Frontier, and we apologize for this delay. Our priority is delivering a high-quality, enjoyable, and memorable experience for all of our players.”
What is Avatar – Secrets of the Spires all about?
It’s a humble message, and I almost feel guilty to admit that I completely forgot all about the game’s second story DLC. Announced as part of the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora season Pass a year ago, Secrets of the Spires has had very little marketing since. Not even delivers much info on it beyond its inclusion of “aerial combat” and a “new canyon region.”
However, the does include some tidbits. Here’s the gist: The RDA is using giant, fantastical mining rigs to destroy a new region the DLC is introducing to the Western Frontier, and it’s up to you to put an end to it. You must take the fight to the enemy on your banshee, aka the Ikran, and destroy RDA flyers.
The seeming lack of marketing for Secrets of the Spires certainly feels odd, especially since it’s a part of the season pass — purchasers would certainly want to know what it’s about. But to be fair, things over at Ubisoft have been hectic as of late.
The first DLC for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, The Sky Breaker, launched on July 19. It got a full announcement with a trailer showcasing what to expect. Secrets of the Spires will be available ൩on November 28. Hopefully, the Ikran-heavy DLC will soa🌱r and not crash upon landing.
