The first footage of Renegade Kid’s Xeodrifter is totally doin’ it for me

Love me some metroidvanias

In August, it was revealed that Mutant Mudds developer Renegade Kid was working on a metroidvania for Nintendo 3DS titled Xeodrifter. It’s about an interstellar vagrant, and the game was supposedly born from a Moon Chronicles 2D remake. 

At the tim▨e, we only had that information and some screenshots to pique our interest, but now we have footage of the game in action. It looks to be a quick-moving affair with heavy emphasis on platforming and action, all wrapped up inside a nice color palette. Suddenly, I want to go Xeodrifting as soon as possible.
