Impressions, ho
I’m not the kind of person to besmirch something because it looks “cartoony” or is geared for a certain age group. Often times kid programs transcend those boundaries with the right people behind them, and that might be the case for Mega Man: Fully Charged.
Capcom seems content with bringing back the Blue Bomber in a huge way this year — but instead of just getting compilations we’re witnessing the release of a brand new game on top of a new cartoon, which hasn’t been attempted in some time.
The jury is out on Fully Charged as Capcom and Man of Action have been keeping the project close to the chest (despite several leaks that have given us details), but it’s basically ready for public consumption as it was just announced as part of the San Diego Comic Con lineup.
It’ll premiere on July 20 at 6PM PT during its own screening panel (footage, not a full episode it seems) alongside of a brief talk: “Celebrating the 30-year legacy of this iconic, game-based character, the panelists will discuss the background and creative evolution of the new series, followed by screening of never-before-seen footage from the show, coming soon to Cartoon Network.”
