Developer Frogwares is currently beavering away at the Nintendo Switch port their gruesome horror adventure The Sinking City, which launched back in June on PS4, PC and Xbox One. To whet fans’ appetites (pun intended) the dev team has uploaded a trailer of the port in action.

For those of you who would like a refresher, The Sinking City is a creepy third-person adventure set in the 1920’s, and follows the exploits of troubled private investigator Charles W. Reed as investigates several disappearances in the fictional town of Oakmont, Massachusetts. Along the way, Reed’s investigations are hampered by his own personal demons, some very actual demons, and a deluge of floodwater, the result of a torrential downpour.

As you can see from the video, the Switch port of The Sinking City is shaping up pretty nicely. The Switch port will feature an overhauled control system befitting the Joy-Con, as well as various tweaks to improve the shooting mechanics, as well as the NPC AI. Development must be ticking along, as Frogwares state that they will be ready to announce a release date next week – a date said to be “sooner rather than later”.

The Sinking City is available now on PS4, PC and Xbox One.
