It’s out in 2023
Well, now we know what that trademar♎k was allꦉ about earlier this year!
Thanks to today’s Nintendo Direct, we know it’s a new entry coming to Switch, and it’ll sport two-player local play, along with online support. A few of the songs confirmed in the trailer for Final Fantasy Theatrhythm Final Bar Line are:
- One Winged Angel
- Torn from the Heavens
- Suteki Da Ne
Final Fantasy Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is out on February 16, 2023. Oh, and paid DLC from the NieR, Saga, Live a Live, and Octopath Traveler franchises are confirmed. You can get a look at everything included in the digital deluxe and premium digital deluxe editions below. It’s uh, a lot! And these editions are extremely Square Enix.
I don’t know if anyone else in the west has fond memories of this series, but I certainly do. I even imported a copy of Theatrhythm Dragon Quest on 3DS just to play it in 2015, as it was never released in the west. Really, as long as the tracklist is handled properly (read: and a ton of key songs that deal with the game in question aren’t gated behind DLC or some bonus of some kind), Square Enix can just keep making these. Hopefully this one turns out alright come February.
