to the game and, due to his famous elastic superpowers, many players couldn’t help but compare him to the iconic protagonist of One Piece, Monkey D. Luffy. Naturally, there’s already a brilliant mod that reflects this striking similarity.
Nexus Mods user that swaps Mister Fantastic for Monkey D. Luffy. However, what makes this stand out from other similar mods is that this isn’t any regular Luffy skin, since he actually is in his most powerful and versatile transformation, his Gear 5 form. He famously achieved this form during the recent Wano Country Arc, and it basically allows him to use as many over-the-top and cartoony attacks as his childish imagination can come up with.

Gear 5 Luffy is a very fun power-up that stretches his body to mind-blowing extents and, to no one’s surprise, it fits perfectly with Mister Fantastic’s Marvel Rivals move set and animations. Ercuallo hasn’t revealed where he got this model from, . According to Nexus Mods, this mod has been downloaded approximately 4600 times since its creator first uploaded it, so I can confidently say that One Piece fans are definitely enjoying Mister Fantastic’s addition to the game.
If you want to try this mod for yourself, the creator also left an easy-to-follow tutorial on how to download and install it in Marvel Rivals. You should be careful, however, as this popular Luffy skin hašs surfaced just after NetEasše implemented a controversial restriction that negatively affected mods and other fan-made content.
Marvel Rivals has been restricting modded skins after its most recent update

There’s no denying that all the creative, high-quality fan-made skins have been one of the best parts of the recent rise in popularity of Marvel Rivals. Unfortunately, NetEase has decided tšo put an end to these mods, as the Season 1 Update added, among many other things, asset hash checking in order to disable them. Of course, that would work around these restrictions, although as its description statesš², you should use it at your own risk.
Can NetEase ban your Marvel Rivals account for using mods after the Season 1 Update? Technically speaking, yes, but and yet there aren’t many reports of players facing account bans just for using them (or any other type of fan-made content). While it’s unlikely that NetEase will just start banning any players who installed mods in their game, “It is not recommended to modify any game files, as doing so carries the risk of getting banned”, meaning that Marvel Rivals players should still be careful.
Why did NetEase decide to disable mods in Marvel Rivals? It hasn’t given an official explanation, but the truth is that fan-made skins can give some players an unfair advantage (or disadvantage) in an online multiplayer game like this one. For example: Gear 5 Luffy looks quite different from the original Mister Fantastic, so this contrast may confuse both opponents and teammates, making it harder for them to shoot him from a distance. Not to mention that skins like this can also mess with the character’s individual hitboxes.
