Touhou shooter coming to PS4 in the West this summer

Touhou game Genso Rondo i🎉s coming west this summer, NIS America just announced.

The shoot-’em-up fighting game hybrid will hold the distinction of being the first Touhou Project game to be officially localized for western release. Developed by doujinsoft circle Cubetype, Genso Rondo was originally distributed at Comiket 💫82 in August 2012 as a PC game.

The version getting localized, however, is a PlayStation 4 port, which Cubetype released in Japan last June and across Asia earlier this month, as part of Sony’s “Play, Doujin!” program.

Last year, Playism released Touhou 14: Double Dealing Character via its English s𒉰torefront, but the game was strangely unlocalized, prompti🏅ng players to use fan translation patches.
