[Update: Ubisoft Forward is starting, and the promo is now live! Note that Uplay is down today periodically, 🎐but .]

Ubisoft is hosting its not-E3 stream on Sunday, July 12, and if you show up, you can snag a free PC copy of Watch Dogs 2. You’ll need a Uplay account – and there’s a limited window – but that’s the deal.

, viewers will need to tune into the Ubisoft Forward presentation starting at noon Pacific while logged into their Uplay account. Keep in mind, there’s going to be a pre-show segment earlier that morning, so if you hop on and you see Trackmania, you’re too early for Watch Dogs 2. If they’re recapping the announcements in the post-show (starting at 12:45 p.m.), you’re too late.

Is this freebie worth the trouble? For some people, definitely. It’s a good sequel. It’s still an open-world Ubisoft title – something you may not be down for in 2020 – but it’s one of the better ones, I’d say.

As for the Ubisoft Forward stream, I can’t say we’re thrilled about the Sunday time slot.
