In any case, we’ll break down what the best Keepsake is in Elden Ring and why you should pick these for each run.

What is the best Keepsake in Elden Ring?

Objectively, the best Keepsake in Elden Ring is the Golden Seed. Right from the get-go, this will allow you to get another Sacred Flask, in💙creasing your maximum heals or FP restoration.

You can find way more Golden Seeds than you need to completely max out, but that extra one in the beginning will help you die a lot less as you progress through the game. It’ll also be useful if you’re trying to max out flasks when you get into Shadow of the Erdtree

If you’re more experienced in Soulslikes such as this, then the next best option is to pick the Stonesword Key. This will allow you to access the Fringefolk Hero’s Grave dun𓆉geon at t🐽he beginning of the game before even encountering the notorious Tree Sentinel.

If you do complete this dungeon, you’ll be rewarded with a Gold♔en Seed. Just know that this area’s boss is going to be a lot toughe🌊r than many other things in the Limgrave area.

You do not have to use the Stonesword Key for this dungeon specifically, but this item is harder to come by than the many Golden Seeds there are out in the base game. You can always hold onto this for other Imp statues that require this item, making it easie♚r to access other places.

For first-timers, though, it’s recommended to go with the Golden Seed. That early game boost can ease you into the legendarily difficult parts of Elden Ring.
