When is The Thing coming to Marvel Rivals?
According to the developers at NetEase, we can expect The Thing to come to Marvel Rivals around “six to seven weeks” after the release of this first Season. That means he should join the roster around February 21 to the 28. The exact dates are not known yet.
He’ll also be released alongside The Human Torch.
What are The Thing’s abilities?
The Thing will be a Vanguard (tank) character, being the first new one since l🌠aunch. From what we know, he’ll play simila꧂rly to The Hulk.
The following abilities are leaksꦺ, so they may not be final and are subject to change.

| Combination Punch – Normal Attack | The Thing’s default attack. |
| Furious Charge | A charge attack that props enemies up in the air and leaves a “seismic zone that prohibits displacement”. |
| Thunderbolt Punch | A stronger version of the normal attack with a cooldown. |
| Battlefield Support | Perform a leap that gives you damage reduction along with nearby allies within the radius. |
| Solid as Rock (Passive) | Immune to crowd control effects. |
| Slam Moment (Ultimate) | Knocks all enemies in front of you into the air. |
| Fastball Special (Team-Up with Wolverine) | The same as Hulk’s Gamma Fastball. The Thing can lift Wolverine and press the button to hurl him forward. |
In terms of how much damage or๊ what the values are — like cooldowns for each ability — is yet tꦍo be determined.
So far, The Thing can give Bruce Banner a run for his money or be yet another Vanguard w🤪ho can provide excellent ꦜdistractions and stalls to enemy teams.
