Don’t get too close to scan it! There are microbes in the water and they will kill you if you wet your socks too long. You can safely scan the beast at quite a distance. The farthest the game let me do it is 70 meters.

Nesoi: Planetary Traits

Nesoi has two different planetary traits to uncover. The first is the Sentient ဣMicrobial Colony, which I found in the Savanna biome. The second is the Ecological Consortium, which was hidden in the Deciduous Forest. For the latter, be sure to hunt around for dung piles, as they may contain resources. And dung. Ew.
